Hello!! Just saying a love your work!! Can I request ratio x gn! Demon reader? Like a bit enemies to lovers type of troupe, start of reader is like really annoying to ratio always bothering him where ever he goes no what time or day they still can find him in a blink of an eye, ratio thinks they're an idiot and a total air head but in reality reader is actually very smart they just acted dumb to get under ratio's skin (reader can be a member of the guild or co workers or even roomates hehe whichever you prefer) one day ratio finds reader in herta's space station badly injured and passed out but quickly ratio catches them and went to the station infirmary, after a while reader woke up in a room they never seen before it looks luxurious and expensive they look a bit confused until they heard a familiar voice next to them, and it's ratio usual scolding asking them what happened and ofc reader explains reader got attacked by some monster I forgot what they're called (reader is lying btw they just wanted ratio's attention, but they did injured themselves just to act like they were telling the truth) ratio knows it all ofc he's not stupid. The rest of the scenario you can finished it your way I'm happy if you actually writes my little rambles okay stay safe and stay healthy (hehe maybe they kissed at the end? Who knows)

You were the most infuriating to Dr. Ratio. He couldn’t stand you, whatsoever. The most simplest of questions, you’d manage to get them wrong. ‘How could someone get such an easy question, wrong?!’ He would always ponder to himself. You were the devil on his left shoulder, constantly annoying him.

Ratio was a man you couldn’t just so easily forget. Aside from the fact he was your roommate, something about him was so captivating to you. You craved his attention, being a demon made it much more easier. You constantly poked at him, like a rock in his shoe.

“Ratio!” Your ebullient call of his name went unheard to him as you leaned over his shoulder, staring at his desk. “You’re heading to Herta Space Station in a while?” You halted, yet he had no response. As if he’s chosen to ignore the malign echo inside of his head — which was you obviously...

Ratio took a deep jaded sigh, uprising from his seat and, departing. Taking his way to Herta Space Station. You being yourself, of course, followed him. Though, he simply chose to ignore you the entire time!!

Arriving at Herta Space Station, no matter how much you provoked the guy, he gave you no response. You could see his muscles slightly twitch, continuing to agitate him further yet no response! Much more patient than he normally was!

So, when Ratio started engaging in a conversation with Ruan Mei, you took it into your own hands to try and get Ratio’s attention. You wandered off, further into Herta Space Station and perhaps an area you shouldn’t luckily came across. A bunch of dead antimatter legion creatures. All torn up into shreds and piled one ontop of the other.

Whilst examining the bodies, an idea came across you. Maybe it was a bit extreme but, it might be worth it? You took the blade of one of them, gulping down your clear choked up throat and sense of common knowledge — you held your breath, slashing it across your stomach. You were sure you’d be fine. You’re a demon after all!

Oh, but how you regretted it. The pain was unbearable. Those blades are not to be underestimated, they hurt like hell. You went dizzy, losing your sense of stability. You wobbled to the door, holding your stomach and dragging your feet. If only you could find Ratio right now, if only you didn’t do something as foolish as that...

It’s bright. Too bright. Where am I?

Wait, wasn’t I at Herta Space Station?

“You’re up.” The familiar voice rang in your head. Was that...?

You jumped up, sitting in the middle of a large bed, confused. You scanned your eyes around the room, immediately locking them when your view is bestowed by Ratio sitting on the chair besides the bed, looking at you rather upset.

“Ra—” before you could even utter out his name, he abruptly interrupted you. “You. How idiotic must you be?” He breathed out. “You’re smart, aren’t you? Didn’t you figure out how bad you could’ve gotten injured before deciding to wander off?” He scolded, you could sense the slight tone of worry in his voice. “I didn’t know there’d be that many of those antimatter legion pests roaming around!” You fend for yourself, lying to him. You couldn’t admit you did it yourself just to gain his attention after all!

Ratio let out a disheartening sigh, sitting besides you on the bed. “You deceived me. Again.” His voice, soft, and culpable. Again? Was he indicating he knew about your little ‘act’?

That however, wasn’t going to put you down. You weren’t admitting until you were absolutely certain. “Deceived? When have I ever deceived you?” You played dumb, confident he wouldn��t see through you.

He only looked at you, a bit perplexed, tucking your hair behind your ear. “I was cleaning up your one awful mess of a room, and I found your study book.” He moved closer to you on the bed, sitting right besides you. His eyes, unable to leave your face. Your heart was pounding. He found the very study book that proved you were indeed simply acting as if you were dumb, just to get under his skin?

“You’re... Rather smart. And, I must apologize.” He reluctantly moved back a little, his eyes redirecting to anywhere else in the room aside from you. Which made your heart break a little, but you didn’t lift your gaze off him. “I was ignoring you, I was frustrated you were hiding your true potential. Just to get under my skin... I had decided to ignore you out of my own pettiness.” An apologetic, sincere tone coating his words — his eyes moved to your stomach. “I truly... Apologize.” It was’t easy for him to say, but he said it anyways. Just because he couldn’t stand the fact he brought pain upon you.

“However, don’t do such things to get my attention — ever again.” A flip in his apologetic tone turned into a demanding one. He moved back closer to you, you could feel your breath hitch as you realized how close your faces were. “Right... I think I learnt my lesson...” You sheepishly chuckle, Ratio’s frown turning into a soft smile. He noticed your little demon tail wagging a little, almost like a puppy!

He cupped your face with one hand, looking directly into your eyes. “You are truly one idiot, you little demon.” He amorously expressed his concern. You held his wrist, slightly nodding — Ratio unexpectedly pulling you in for a chaste kiss. You didn’t deny it, at all — it was nice basking in Ratio’s slight affection and worry for you. “Doesn’t that make you a bigger idiot for kissing me?” You teased him, to which he scoffed endearingly. Maybe it wasn’t such a bad idea? Though, think of other ways next time...

-He's quite busy (being intimidating is a full-time job, after all), but he doesn't mind if you accompany him on his bridge, chattering away about your interests or quietly entertaining yourself in some corner of the ship while he commands his troops.

-He does ask questions from time to time about your hyperfixations and special interests. If it's something he happens to like or be knowledgeable about, he will gladly talk to you about it and share a lot of information on the subject.

-He mostly leaves you alone during a meltdown or if you are overstimulated. It's not to be rude, he just doesn't really know what to do. He will be a bit more kind to you afterward, though.

Starscream

-Like Megatron, he mostly just listens to you ramble about things you like. He replies sometimes if it's something he happens to have an interest in. These conversations mostly happen when he takes you on flights.

-Privately does a bit of research with Kockout's help so he can better understand neurodivergence. It actually helps him better understand his own mental state and his brothers' as well.

-If he notices you are struggling, he might take you to a quiet room. He doesn't say anything if you thank him, but he is secretly glad he could help someone.

Soundwave

-The perfect partner to ramble to. He has recordings of all the times you've info-dumped to him, and he listens to them often when he's alone.

-Sometimes fidget toys or plushies of things you like will randomly appear. He doesn't mention it, and neither do you. You don't even know how he got them, but you appreciate it.

-After an outburst or meltdown, he lets you play with Laserbeak and plays back a recording of a time when you talked to him about one of your interests. It helps surprisingly well.

-Dissociates with you.

Knockout

-Literally showers you with fidget toys, sensory items, anything related to your interests, any physical affection you need, and literally any item you may ever need.

-Kind of gets upset if you don't make eye contact with him, but then jokes you are blinded by his finish and that's why you aren't looking at him.

-Seems to be always judging your haircut. Makes low-taper fade jokes. You don't know how he knows what that is. You threaten to give him a low-taper fade. He does it in a joking manner, though.

Breakdown

-Be ready for his golden retriever energy, because he can be a lot. He will respect your boundaries, but you might have to remind him a few times.

-Creates a sensory-safe place for you on the Nemesis. Lots of soft pillows and blankets, a few fidget toys, and even a pair of noise cancelling headphones. You’re still not sure how he even got ahold of them. -Has already fought anyone who even looks at you the wrong way or is too loud. He will do it again.

Dreadwing

-Honestly, he’s probably nuerodivergent himself. You take turns talking about your interests. He shows you his weapon collection and starts training you in the art of explosives, whether you like it or not.

-Often, if you need calming down or just want someone to talk to, he tells you stories about his twin. You are positive you know more about Skyquake than you do himself.

-Entirely picks you up and moves you to a quiet room during breakdowns and just sits with you and waits.

Hi! So I was scrolling through your blog (I always start the day checking Tumblr 😅) and I found out about the Gwayne thing not making sense in the series (which I totally agree to btw). But I think I may have found a kind of valid answer (more or less)

As the Anon pointed, Otto is a second son (that's why he is not called Defender or Lord of Oldtown, the title belongs to his brother) so a child of his would not be suitable as a husband for the future Queen

However, that doesn't answer the question of why he didn't get a role in court. Well, the fact is that he did in the books he did. He arrived at court with his mother and siblings as soon as Otto became hand and later was a knight and Second in command of the City Watch, which is quite a high position for someone that young (just a year older than Nyra I think)

His age could also be the reason he wasn't trained to be the next king's advisor. And for the part of why he isn't a sworn protector I believe is due the fact that only White Cloaks are allowed to reach that position. If Gwayne had been one of them that could also stop his father from making more alliances through marriage with his son (all that celibacy oath Criston is always pestering about)

So yeah that's all the explanation I could come up with 😅 Sorry if it was an endless ramble, I tried my best to explain it but idk if it makes sense

And that makes perfect sense! I think I get a bit confused with 'who could marry Rhaenyra the Heir' because when she did her marriage tour - she saw so many unfit matches. None of those men/boys would be suited for her.

Laenor is really the most obvious choice but obviously there was no children from them ("allegedly").

But that leads me to why wasn't she allowed to marry Harwin? I'm talking about before she was married to Laenor ... surely he would have caught her eye by the fact he LITERALLY RAN INTO A CHAOTIC UNRULY CROWD, THREW HER OVER HIS SHOULDER AND SAVED HER. Whew, I miss him.

His father was the Hand of the King and he was set to inherit Harrenhall (I'm pretty sure).

If you could redesign Naruto and Sasuke's adult/B*ruto looks, what would you'd imagine them looking like? Hell, base them off of an AU where they leave and travel together if you'd prefer that!

For me, I'd have Naruto grow out his Shippuden hair a tiny bit and not have it be as floppy as it now is, switch out that cloak for an upgraded version of his long Sage Mode coat, have some of his Kurama-esque features show through (thicker whisker marks, sharper nails, sharper teeth/canines, almond-shaped pupils that contract and dilate like a cat's, irises that will more readily redden at intense feelings), a completely different style of shirt (maybe a jinbei-style top that's opened enough to show off his necklace), and have him carry around giant scrolls (I love all of the official art pieces and panels where Nart's lugging around scrolls). I'm still working out how I'd like Sasuke to look, but I'm envisioning a low ponytail or bun with hair that's slightly longer than the awkward length he currently has (or even his hair from the Blank Period, just slightly longer), and a cloak with a much higher collar (think Akatsuki coat height, to where the lower half of his face is obscured); typing this out, I think that tweaking his Blank Period look would be better than starting at his B*ruto look. 😅 And maybe, if for no other reason than Sasuke feeling sentimental, he could keep a small, hidden spot/accessory with his clan's mon that only he'd ever see? It just saddens me to see him no longer choose to wear it (and it makes seeing pinkie and the test tube kid flaunt it so casually all the more infuriating).....

Sorry for the ramble! My question still stands - how would you like these two to look, if you had the power to alter their current adult designs?

oh your naruto seems to look really nice, i’m honestly not the best person to imagine character designs and i’m also not good at describing clothes even in portuguese so lol english is even worse. i liked how you described naruto, but i wouldn’t keep the kurama features cause i associate them with when naruto is out of control, which i enjoy a lot, so it kinda loses its meaning when you have them all the time. unpopular opinion but i do not like sasuke with long hair lol, his duckbutt and bangs are much more pleasing to me, and i know he’s pretty in kishimoto’s design but this hair 👇🏼 is the limit to me and it still isn’t better than his part 2 bangs style or the blank period one with the cats, which btw also contains a nice outfit (yeah, the all black one).

he could still have a small bun in this hairstyle ig. and of course he would still wear clothes with the uchiha crest because boruto doesn’t exist and there isn’t anyone parading it like they are trying to compensate for all the rest.

this is not a subtle request btw, but I'm curious if you have a 'verse focused about coming-out or realizing one's sexual orientation. I don't exactly remember every detail but, iirc, most of your fics' characters have implied sexuality which are lesbians.

It will be cool to know how you guys write about the experiences of coming out from your time period. ( I don't mean to make you feel so old 😭 but I know you two are in your 30s and are wiser and more experienced than we are (early 20s) ) I remember reading a post that it was really a different social scene compared to now.

maybe I'm also curious how you two became friends, then roommates *cough* *coughhhhh* and then wives because tbh I'm surrounded by hetero couples irl that reading about you two fascinates me.

first off, thank you dear reader for being with us for so long! time surely flies when you're having fun, because wdym push & pull is approaching its 3rd anniversary??? creating for this fandom has been such a joint delight for the both of us, and we're just happy to share the journey with friends like you :) take your time re the new fics, esp if they're wips! we're working on them relatively slower, because life has also been hella hectic hereabouts.

onto your second query: i think this question is very interesting, actually! to address it head on, for this particular fandom i don't think i've written a 'verse where the specific challenge for any of the characters is coming to terms with their sexuality. i quite like living in this fantasy world where people are simply as-is-where-is lesbians haha. for example in our childhood best friends to lovers stories, when someone realizes their attraction, the realization is not so much about falling in love with another woman, but about falling in love with this specific person.

this way, it's the characters' shared context and history that makes their dynamic compelling, instead of the much more global milieu of lgbt relationships existing alongside all these issues and history, etc. which i also think are interesting stories to tell! but for purposes of this fandom in particular, which i think exists in a sociopolitical context that is beyond my expertise--i leave those stories to better-positioned storytellers :) in the true spirit of creating in this era, i do not want to get anything so egregiously wrong it will detract from the reader's experience.

but seriously, i have been obsessed about writing coming out/ coming of age stories for the longest time, mostly for my original work, which are set locally with local OCs. they were all i wrote about back in the day, so i guess for fanfic i figured i could instead try all the other tropes that weren't so close to real life, where coming out can be fraught and complicated. it's for the same reason that i don't write compulsory heterosexuality (comphet) or i avoid writing men as third parties in general... i've already spent a significant chunk of my writing life writing /that/ story, or at least that’s how it felt like.

but you make a good point! i'd love to try revisiting that coming out/coming of age trope and give it some aged-up flavor. let's see about that :)

on a personal note, many times when i look at today's digital landscape, I often go, thank god [this or that] did not exist just yet back in the day [or at least not in this manner] when i was figuring my shit out, because oh boy. the clout i could have chased and cancellations i could have booked haha.

suffice it to say i'm happy the digital footprints of past egregious mistakes are now buried with the deaths of old platforms. we were very lucky to have lived and loved and lost in an age where the internet could still afford some measure of forgetting.

(i know there's probably no going back to that kind of landscape, but i hope it's not too late for us to be a little kinder to each other, and definitely more forgiving of ~youth and elderly~, given how fast information cycles around these days and how wide the age range of users concurrently using the same digital spaces right now can be. it's NUTS.)

we actually became friends through fandom! we met on tumblr lmao because that's where you met other wlw back in the day (idk if that's still where people are, istg i would not survive the current dating landscape either!) so i would not be exaggerating when i say fandom brought us together, and we're still cycling through fandoms together, having been to various ones in the past handful of years. that said we look forward to more fandoms to add to our list lol.

I LOVE IT TOO 😭😭, first I really like stories where people mention more of fae stuff with Hyrule (cuz he's a fairy) but Wild ???? I really really really like it! And I love how Twilight and Legend are forced to spend time together cuz those two won't let them go, and also that fight they had (? Kinda fight?) It was so interesting how easy it got resolved (Legend just picked the opal up and said mine and that was it) it's funny how shiny objects really makes them fight so easy and then it's like they never fought! Gotta read the second part you published I think not too long ago!! And btw got a question, what does the rest of the team think of those two? Or haven't they noticed something is off about them ? (Or if you mention that on the second chapter I haven't read it yet XD sorry!)

Ok, right?? WE NEED MORE FAIRY HYRULE STORIES!!! I’ve read all the ones I can find. Hyrule is, thankfully, part fairy in Linked Moments, but STILL.

I love the idea that Wild is just a little…weird after the shrine. So if you haven’t read the chapter today you won’t have seen the end note that mid-month I’ll do another, slightly longer story about eldritch Wild! Essentially Fae Touched became inspiration to push Wild a bit further and really lean in to that vibe. Fae Touched was a fun way to have Hyrule and Wild be a duo, while tossing Twilight and Legend together. The four of them are my favorites, so I like exploring them as combos.

Fae Touched doesn’t touch on what the rest of the Chain thinks, but the Eldritch one will go through each member!

The Chain gets Hyrule’s fae-ness; he’s fairly open about it up front to the group. He doesn’t always remember to explain the “rules”, but they’ve figured it out through trial and error. Wild is a bit of a mystery to everyone because he’s clearly not fae and he only follows the same rules as Hyrule 75% of the time, and makes up his own for the other 25%. Things make sense to Wild, but probably not to the others.

He’s got Twi and Ledge though, so the group as a whole tends to leave them to their own pod for the most part.

As for the opal; Hyrule and Wild were at a stand off because neither wanted to give in, but neither really wanted to hurt each other. It was more threat display to see if they could scare each other off. Legend provided a handy third option of removing the object, allowing them to resolve it without either person giving in. After that they’re pretty quickly back to normal! Legend and Twi are used to it; it’s why when they give the boys things there tends to be something for both of them. Easier to keep it equal!
