“You haven’t been yourself” from the angst prompt list if you haven’t gotten it yet :)
Surprise! Bet you thought I'd given up on this prompt request (I had too) but I finally managed to pull something together.
I haven't really felt motivated to write at all for basically the whole year, and that really bums me out. So I'm trying my best to get back to some abandoned WIPs in the hopes that i'll get me out of this funk.
Apologies for the legth of time it has taken for me to get this out, I really hope it was worth the wait.
-
“You haven’t been yourself.”
Prompt taken from here
Read on AO3
-
“Are you even listening to me?”
Beca blinked and looked up from her phone. “Sorry,” she said. “What were you saying?”
“I was just asking if you’re okay,” Chloe said, frowning at the bags under Beca’s eyes. “You’ve been a bit quiet lately.”
“I’m fine,” Beca said, one hand rubbing at her tired eyes as she turned her attention back to her phone. “I’m always quiet.”
“Not like this,” Chloe said. Not with me, she wanted to add. “You just don’t really seem like yourself.”
Beca shrugged. “I’m fine,” she repeated, though she didn’t sound any more convincing a second time. “Work’s been busy.”
“Okay,” Chloe said, knowing she wasn’t going to get any more out of her. “I’m gonna go shower. Stacie text and asked us to meet her for drinks, are you coming?”
Beca shook her head. “I’ve got a lot of work to get done,” she said, frowning at her phone as she tried to clear the seemingly never-ending list of emails.
Chloe resisted the urge to pull the phone out of her hand, and instead turned and headed to the bathroom, swallowing down her frustration as she all but slammed the door behind her.
Beca didn’t even register the noise.
Her list of unread emails was growing longer by the second, each one seeming more important than the last.
She was in the same spot when Chloe emerged from the bathroom twenty minutes later, and she still hadn’t moved another thirty minutes after that, when a fully dressed Chloe was heading out the door.
“We’ll be in Albertini’s if you change your mind,” Chloe said.
“Uh huh,” Beca replied. “Have fun.”
The front door closed and Beca’s eyes remained fixed on her phone screen.
She tried to read an email from her boss, but she couldn’t focus enough to take in the words. She read it top to bottom three times without taking in a single word of it.
She was too distracted by a throbbing headache that felt like it was pushing against the backs of her eyes. She was hungry too, and her back hurt from the hunched-over position that she’d spent most of the day in.
Her phone began pinging with messages from Stacie, no doubt chastising her for not coming to the bar, and five more emails had hit her inbox by the time she’d closed out the one she hadn’t been able to read from her boss.
It felt like everyone wanted something from her lately.
She felt pulled in too many directions.
Stretched too thin.
Chloe said she hadn’t seemed like herself, and she was right. Beca wasn’t herself. She couldn’t remember the last time she had been.
She blinked rapidly, trying to clear the itchy tiredness from her eyes, and pulled her attention back to the email.
Chloe arrived back at their apartment several hours later, a little buzzed but not drunk, and it surprised her to find Beca in the same position as when she left, as if time had been paused when she’d shut the apartment door.
Beca had looked up at the sound of the door opening, but her attention returned to her phone almost immediately. She’d made some progress on her emails, but not nearly enough to justify the length of time she’d spent on them.
“Have you really not moved the whole time I was gone?” Chloe asked, pouring herself a glass of water.
“I guess not,” Beca replied. “I didn’t even realise it had been that long.”
“Seriously, what is going on with you?”
It’s the tone of Chloe’s voice rather than the question that made Beca’s shoulders finally slump. Chloe sounded worried, and Beca hated that she was the cause.
“I… I don’t know,” Beca said.
Chloe left the kitchen and joined Beca on the sofa.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”
“But something is wrong?” Chloe asked.
“Something feels wrong,” she said. “But I don’t know what. I don’t know why.”
Chloe let out a sigh and put her hand on top of Beca’s. “Okay,” she said. “How can I help?”
Beca opened her mouth but closed it again when no answer came. She shook her head and laughed. “I don’t know.”
“Have you eaten?”
Beca shook her head again.
“We can start there,” Chloe said. “I’m starving. Put that phone down and come help me make some ramen or something.”
Beca gave another quiet laugh but did as she was told. Chloe didn’t need her help making ramen, but Beca needed something to break this cycle she was stuck in. Something to focus on so she didn’t remain trapped in that indecision of what to do next.
“How’s Stacie?” Beca asked, following Chloe into the kitchen.
“She’s good,” Chloe said. “She kept trying to set me up with guys at the bar.”
“Oh?”
“Uh huh,” Chloe said, smirking at the tone shift in Beca’s voice. “She doesn’t know I’m spoken for.”
“You didn’t think to tell her?”
“We said we’d do that together,” Chloe replied. “But you keep bailing on drinks.”
“I’m sorry,” Beca said, taking hold of Chloe’s hand and pulling her closer. “I promise I’ll come next week.”
“You’d better,” Chloe said. “Because if I have to politely turn down one more guy named Chad, I might lose it.”

a/n: sorry this took me way longer than I wanted 😭 I’ve had no motivation and I even had to have a friend help me finish writing it, things have been a little rough lately. I hope you all enjoy!
The friend that helped me is @galactic-junkyard and much love to her bc I literally could not have finished this without her
enjoy!
Requested by @futuristicyouthvoid (again sorry it took so long)
Minho x fem!reader
Warnings: blood and an injury, it’s just fluff honestly though
Two years. You’d been in the Glade for two shucking years. You were also one of the first people in the Glade after a few others, so you were there when the rules were made. You were there when mistakes were made, and you’d seen a lot of people die trying to escape the maze. Not only all of this, but you were the only girl. The only girl in a very confined area with a whole bunch of boys. Thats why you became a runner, you wanted to see first hand exactly what was going on in the maze, and it gave you some time alone.
You definitely had friends, but they were never your top priority, the maze always came first. The only person you truly took time for was Minho. You never noticed the special attention that he payed you, or the special attention that you payed him. Sure you were aware of how very attractive he was, but the maze should always come first.
And besides what would be the point of ruining such a good friendship for a dumb relationship. What would even be the point of dating in the maze? It’s not anything could really come from it, right?
This is what you say to yourself everyday. You can’t get distracted. The only thing that matters is getting out.
And it stayed that way for a while. It got boring and the maze got more frustrating, but you had to push through.
It was on a run that everything changed. Those shucked up grievers. You knew how they worked, you knew their usual routes that they took during the day. You knew how to avoid them. But today they were acting different, you were running section 2 like normal, thoughts going through your head as fast as your feet were running. You weren’t really paying to your surroundings, just leaving a trail of cut vines to find your way back.
That’s why you didn’t notice the clicking and whirring of the griever. That’s why it was too late for you to run. The griever reached its mechanical claw out and was unable to grab you, but did manage to cut you. A long deep cut down your left leg.
“Shuck!” You cry out. The pain makes you want to stop, but to stop is to die, so you push on. After five turns your vision starts to blur, but the griever is still following you close behind. Blood is pouring out of your leg, and black is clouding the edge of your vision.
“Help! Help me! Minho!” Your voice breaks and you trip over a stray vine and hit your head. You don’t know what compelled you to yell Minho’s name, but out of all the names you could have yelled, you chose Minho. As your vision fades, you see a blurred blue shirt and then everything goes black.
You open your eyes to see a cracked open window, letting in warm afternoon light. Pounding fills your head and you go to sit up, only to fall back down, a sharp pain running through your leg.
Why does everything hurt?
“Hey y/n, how are you feeling?” Clint briefly looks over you, making sure your movements haven’t opened any wounds.
You let out a bitter chuckle “Good as I can be I guess. What-“ you cut yourself off as you look around and see the sleeping figure of Minho, slumped over in the crudely built chair next to your bed.
“…How long has he- how long have I been out?” You briefly take your eyes off of Minho to glance up at Clint as he begins to move about the room, grabbing clean bandages so he can change your dirty ones.
“It’s been about three days now, and yes- he’s been here this whole time” he gestures to Minho.
“Oh- three days? I- has he eaten anything?” Concern fills your voice, you know Minho, he’s stubborn and if he’s been by your bedside you don’t doubt that he hasn’t moved for anything.
“No, like I said-“ just as Clint started to speak, Minho’s head shot up.
“Y/n?” Minhos groggy voice matched his lopsided hair.
“Morning sunshine-“ Clint teases as Minho shuffled over to your side.
“Shut up.” Minho snipped back before turning his full attention to you. “Are you okay..?” He asked cautiously, his voice had an undertone of care and warmth to it.
“Fine.. a little sore-“ you begin before getting cut off by the other runner.
“Where?” His eyes scan your body, making your cheeks flush. You’ve never cared about they way he looked at you before, why now? You motion to you leg and minho pulls up the thin blanket covering your mangled limb. Both of the two boys take a peek and cringe at the sight of it. Clint, being the closest thing to a doctor, took a closer look at you leg while minho zoned out.
“Minho.. you good?” You ask, immediately getting an agitated answer.
“How could I be okay when your carelessness nearly got you killed. Oh sometimes I swear you do this on purpose but i know your no idiot because I-“
Minho’s eyes caught your tearful gaze and he stopped scolding you. “No I didn’t mean- y/n you now Ii- Clint could we have a moment”
The medic looked relieved to be excused from this awkward situation. He left the two alone in the dimly lit room, giving minho time to form his words.
After a few beats of silence you speak up, “I know you- what?”
You prompted in a mildly aggressive tone. When he refused to speak up you repeated yourself with a harsher attitude. “I know you-“
“You know i care for you! Right…?” Minho said cautiously. Now you were the on who couldn’t speak. Your lack of words made him more self conscious. He was fighting tears, which shocked you. He never gave of that kind of fragility before. “I care for you, a-lot. And seeing you push yourself so hard all the time to find a answer to this shucking maze is killing me. Its killing me because i love you, and im not sure you feel the same. And its okay of you don’t but-“
He was cut off by your lips meeting his. When the initial shock wore off and you pulled away his hand cupped your cheek and reeled you back in. This kiss was tender and warm. He treated you like an artist would worship his final creation, which was a breath of fresh air in comparison to the harsh conditions the maze forced upon you. On all of the gladers..
“Am I… interrupting something?” Clint interrupted in a cheeky tone. Minho pulls away with a smile tugging at his lips, the happiest hes been since he beat Gally during the bonfire two months ago.
“Yes Clint, your timing is impeccable-“
Clint snickered, “If I’m not mistaken, you have a maze to run around.”
“And you have a patient to take care of” Minho adds with a glance down at you, “take care of her shuckface.”
Before Minho leaves, the room he turns and flashes you a wink. The giddy boy left and Clint gave you a look.
“So…… are we gonna talk about that?”
With nothing but Minho on your mind and a smile on your face you turn away from the door as Minho is gone now.
“Nope.”

upon first touch
In a world where you cannot see your soulmate’s eye color, Dazai longs for someone with two hues he can see.
sloth
If he didn’t know any better, Dazai would have thought he was in a dream.
At a quarter to eight in the morning, the interior of the Armed Detective Agency is bathed in a gauzy yellow, dust motes floating in the slanted rays streaming in from the windows. Dazai’s back is warm where the sunshine hits him, and the low electric hum from where his cheek is pressed against his computer lulls him into a drowsy trance.
Around him, the Agency comes to life. The slow trickle of arriving employees gives way to clicking heels, the whirr of their coffee machine, and printers sputtering reports backlogged from yesterday. A soft chime from the wall clock signals the hour and the office door opens once more, coupled with a prompt, “Good morning.”
“Kunikida-kun,” he calls, still slumped over his table. “Early as ever.”
His partner’s astonishment is so tangible that Dazai shifts to face his frozen form, mischief already painting his face. “If you don’t close your mouth the flies will get in, you know.”
Kunikida scoffs indignantly, glaring at him as he’s making his way to his own desk. “Unlike you,” he says, as he jabs at his laptop’s power button, “I make it a point to be punctual.” Dazai watches on as the screen flickers to life. Kunikida takes a seat then swivels his chair towards him accusatorily. “Which is why you being here before me tells me that you’re up to no good.”
Dazai’s grin widens. “Can I not be early without any ulterior motives?”
“Unless the world is ending, then no.” Ranpo chimes in, strolling into the office with an open bag of chips in his hand. “And I don’t need my super deduction to tell me that.”
“Good morning to you too, Ranpo-san,” Kunikida says, eye twitching subtly as he eyed the trail of crumbs Ranpo was leaving on the clean floor.
“Why are you both on my case today,” Dazai says, pulling his mouth into a mournful pout just to get on Kunikida’s nerves. “I can be a responsible employee.”
“Sure,” Ranpo says. Turning back to the entrance he calls: “Atsushi! What’s taking you so long?”
A booted foot catches the door, stopping it from swinging shut. It’s followed by a shoulder in a white shirt nudging it open. Dazai’s eyes follow as a platinum head of hair peeks out from behind a massive paper bag filled to the brim with snacks, drinks, and candy.
Atsushi’s sheepish face comes into view. “Sorry, the elevator took a little while to come back.” Bowing as best as he could with the goodies in his arms, he greets, “Good morning, everyone—and Dazai-san?”
Ranpo’s glasses glint as he instructs Atsushi to deposit the bag by his desk. “Dazai’s playing good employee today,” he says, reaching over to dig into the paper bag, “and since I’m feeling generous”—he produces a single sweet from the pile—“catch.”
Dazai swipes the candy from midair and reclines in his seat. “You sure you don’t have ulterior motives for this one, Ranpo-san?”
There’s a flash of green as Ranpo glances up from where he’s restocking snacks in his safe. “You tell me.”
As he disappears once more behind his hoard, Dazai turns his attention to Atsushi, who was getting settled on his desk next to him. “You really are early today, Dazai-san,” he is saying, “Is there an assignment you need to get to?”
The morning haze has faded and the light takes on a stronger edge, making his subordinate’s eyes glassy pools of purple and gold.
Dazai’s grin gives way to a small secret smile. He gestures at Atsushi to come closer, and waits for his swivel chair to scoot over to him. There’s a moment of hesitation where Dazai can see the guard on Atsushi’s face desperately trying to remain steadfast, and then it’s crumbling, giving way to a measured, but curious look.
Triumphant, Dazai hides behind a conspiratorial hand as he leans in towards Atsushi, purposely fanning his breath over the younger’s ear. “Nothing in particular.”
Satisfaction fills him at the way the boy flinches, cheeks visibly ruddy even as he moves away.
“Very funny, Dazai-san,” Atsushi huffs, before he shakes his head and gets to work.
Dazai beams, “Isn’t it?” stifling another laugh as Atsushi proceeds to ignore him.
Keeping his expression pleasant, he faces his own desk once more. He unwraps the candy Ranpo threw at him— shaped like a green grape and glistening with sugar crystals,—and pops it unceremoniously into his mouth.
Ah. He says to himself.
It’s fucking sour.
Dazai’s smile sharpens as he crushes it between his teeth.
Finishing it in seconds, he leans back against his seat. The aftertaste doesn’t bother him one bit, but there’s an invisible weight that’s begun to settle itself around him, suffocating in its familiarity and all encompassing. When he closes his eyes in a doze, the light hitting him stings, heavy.
(He really should have known better than to believe he could still dream.)
gluttony
Sometimes though, Dazai hypothesizes.
Moments when he plays with the what-if’s, entertaining ideas his treacherous mind puts forth. He’s never allowed himself to dwell on them, not if he can help it. Eventually, by some circumstance or another, his years of cold analytical assessment win over and he detaches himself from situations as quickly as he has found himself in them.
From an outsider perspective, he knows his methods appear cold, and unfeeling—and perhaps they are, Dazai muses. Still, he prefers the terms ‘objective and logical.’
(No matter how much it echoes that of former…mentors that are best left in the past)
It’s like a game, deciding when to follow his own principles, and when to give in just a little to his impulses.
Nowadays, he realizes with no small amount of surprise, that it’s been more of the latter.
Hiding a wry quirk of his lips behind his glass, Dazai tunes back into his surroundings. He, Kunikida, Tanizaki and Atsushi were crammed in a small table, their after work dinner laid out in front of them. Slowly, the packed izakaya comes into focus.
At a little past seven, raucous patrons were constantly ducking in and out past the white noren at the threshold; salarymen in loosened suits, the occasional couple, students eager for something warm to eat. Around them, the scent of cooking meat and broth is thick in the air.
Across the table, Kunikida is pointing an accusatory vegetable skewer at him. “…and if we hadn’t been tracking this idiot, he would’ve drowned and we never would have found you after.”
“It kinda worked out in the end though, in hindsight,” Tanizaki pipes in from next to Kunikida. “Like you were meant to work with us, Atsushi.”
“I wouldn’t go that far but—” seated at Dazai’s right, Atsushi turns to him, a mix of fascination and exasperation on his face. “—you really have to quit jumping in rivers, Dazai-san.”
“Were you talking about the day we found you, Atsushi-kun?” he says. “It’s nearly been a year, has it?”
At Atsushi’s nod, Kunikida snorts. “I’ve got to commend you for sticking around this long.”
“But it’s a good thing!” Tanizaki says, looking up from his bowl of udon. “It really did get livelier with you and Kyouka-chan around. And even if there are, uh, better options than the Agency, we really are glad to have you around, Atsushi.”
“That really…means a lot, thank you,” bashful, Atsushi’s hand comes up to rub the back of his neck. Dazai’s eyes follow. “And, well, I wasn’t really counting but it’s been exactly a year since a couple of days ago.”
There’s a collective exclamation around the table. Dazai snatches the opportunity to sling his arm around Atsushi’s shoulders, tugging the boy to his chest and jostling a saucer of pickled daikon in the process. “You should’ve said so earlier, Atsushi-kun!” he cries, ruffling the younger man’s hair just to watch his ears redden. “Kunikida-kun will pay for your dinner tonight!”
“Hah?”
Ignoring his partner’s protests is worth it for the blush that blooms across Atsushi’s face. “I can pay for it myself, Dazai-san,” Atsushi says.
“Oh?” This close, Dazai could see the fading blemishes sitting on his nose bridge, and the barely visible hairs above his top lip. “And if I want to spoil you?”
“Then don’t do it with Kunikida-san’s money,” Atsushi chides. Even with the smoke and shit fluorescent lighting he appears—fond. Dazai is aware, too aware, that Atsushi has made no move to extricate himself from his hold.
He breaks away first.
“Alright then.” To the surprise of everyone on the table, he reaches into his pocket, waves a passing waitress over, and hands over a credit card.
Dazai laughs as Kunikida immediately checks his own wallet. “It wasn’t yours, dummy,” he teases.
“It very easily could have been,” Kunikida grumbles.
“I’ve never seen Dazai-san pay for someone else yet,” Tanizaki says in awe.
“Only ‘cause it’s a special occasion,” Dazai says with a wink.
Beside him, Atsushi’s eyes gleam as he smiles. Dazai’s chest constricts. “You didn’t have to do that, Dazai-san,” Atsushi says. “But—thank you.”
Dazai keeps his gaze level as he rests his chin on his palm, eyes trained on his subordinate’s even as their brightness taunts him. “Don’t mention it, Atsushi-kun.”

Okay so, since you may be able to tell my RotE fever has returned I thought it might be time for a little Realm of the Quarantine update/thot dump. May be a little scattered and it gets personal but here we go!
1. Yes, it has been a fucking full year between finishing Mad Ship and finally cracking open Ship of Destiny, but yes, we are still going! Again, I have been following my sister's pace with this read, and she is chronically ill and a parent of a wild 4 year old (who I essentially co-parent just btw) so her capacity to read at all can fluctuate wildly. She was maybe a quarter through Ship of Destiny when she fell into a severe slump and so I just never started it after finishing Mad Ship. She picked up the book every so often but I wasn't confident she would keep it up and I preferred to be stuck between books than between chapters. Anyway, she finally hit her stride in December and finished Liveship, and now she is almost finished Fool's Errand!! She was literally sobbing today and I was like oh shit it's happened... Nope it's only the bit where Fitz and Dutiful go through the skill pillar leaving the Fool and Nighteyes behind 🙃 honey, you got a big storm comin (I'm sorry)
2. Realm of the Quarantine? Still? Yeah, for the sake of tagging it doesn't make sense to change the name, but also my brother just got covid 🙃 first one in our family (he's okay!!) so the legacy lives on I guess. Anyway I think the name will always fit because it's a good way of tying it to the when and why of its beginnings. Literally insane that this will be the third year of this reread lol huh??
3. On that note, I cannot WAIT for the day I get to inhale this series again at my own (supremely unhealthy) pace. I was so looking forward to picking up on all the nitty gritty details and through lines because this is my first time reading chronologically and yeah I still can to an extent but it's now once again been years since I read the first books so ya know, the cohesion just isn't there.
4. On THAT note, I have definitely been pretty rusty getting back into the series. I'm engaged and enjoying it while I'm reading but you should see the amount of tabs compared to the others lol, and the amount of notes. I think it's just taking a while for my feelings about the story to kick back in all the way, but that is definitely happening more and more as I go on (almost halfway through now)! There are also just a lot of dropped threads, things I was keeping track of in my notes before which I don't have a clear enough memory of to keep following now, so it's honestly just kind of hard to know what kinds of things I should be noting? But again that's getting better. I might actually read my notes from the previous books tomorrow cos that would help, I'm sure. All this is linked with the fact that my sister, neice and I have just moved into our own place together, out from an extremely unhealthy situation. The move was really sudden, and although an incredible opportunity it was also inhumanly stressful and exhausting. I became severely dissociated and I'm still finding my way back to myself. But honestly getting back to RotE has been a big help with that!! It's just that yeah, there are so many disconnects whether it's my memory, the flow of the story being interrupted by a long break or my ability to feel much. It's all getting better. But I just wanted to put that out there in case my Ship of Destiny write up ends up being a bit of a skinny legend :( I know it doesn't actually matter I just am kinda sad about it because this trilogy is so dense and I was connecting so many dots and now it's like someone came and cut all the strings on my serial killer corkboard and I'm starting from scratch. But oh well!!
5. There is no greater motivator for reading than to know your sister is experiencing some absolute fucking PEAK Fitz and the Fool content without you
6. Speaking of which, you may notice a contradiction between my stated disconnect from Liveship and claiming my RotE madness is back. Well, this is actually not an entirely new phenomenon. Last time I was reading Liveship I wasn't disconnected from it, but it did still ignite my Fitz/Fool rabies. I'd be reading Liveship all day, perhaps without so much as a mention of Amber popping up, yet spend all night dreaming about Fitz and the Fool? Honestly just takes the most flimsy of threads for those two to hijack my brain. But I'm not complaining about it.
7. Sadly have not been struck with inspiration for memes yet, but hopefully Sa will bless me soon.
8. Long story short, I'm back and becoming more and more obsessed every day which strangely is a sign I'm doing much better lol. It sounds strange but if my sister keeps this going and I can make it through Tawny Man without any major interruptions I think it'll genuinely be really good for my mental health. The ability to get excited about something, be unapologetically passionate, think critically, experience a masterpiece which might inspire me to do some writing of my own and just generally spend time on something I love are all things that have been missing from my life. Returning to RotE is far from the most important change in my life right now but it is intrinsically tied to those changes. A friend to accompany me on this new road. Sorry to be cheesy I just honestly have worked so relentlessly and hopelessly hard to get here all while never really believing I would arrive. I still don't really believe it but I want to. The fact I even have the mental clarity or will to put this post together is remarkable on its own. So I'm taking stock. I've missed talking shit with you guys, I hope we all have a beautiful year 💫

you fall asleep on him
⚘ genre. fluff
⚘ members. ot8
⚘ warnings. I didn’t proofread pls forgive me lmfao
chan wishes he could stay like this with you forever, but he’s a busy man
You had fallen asleep on his lap, per usual. It was always a hit or miss with you, he took chances every time he let you rest in his lap while he worked, enjoying the feeling of your arms wrapped around his neck but he could never complain
In his ideal world, Chan would hold you like this every night, feel the way your breathing slows to a steady rhythm as you drift off farther and farther. It was one of his favorite things in the universe yet he could rarely actually experience it since he’s constantly running around
He cherishes the few minutes that he can spare whenever you do this, wrapping his arms around your frame and resting his head on top of yours. Someday he’ll get to the point where he can stay as long as he wants, but for right now he’ll use that desire as motivation to work and earn that luxury
But unfortunately, for right now at least, duty calls and he has a few tracks to work on. He can’t really do that well with you on him, so he basks in your body heat a few seconds longer before pushing his chair away from the desk
“Sorry about this, pretty,” he breathes into your ear as he hoists you up, laying you down on the couch in the studio and slipping on some headphones to protect your ears from any sudden sounds that may come up while he’s working
lee know gives the biggest glare to anyone who breathes too loud around you
As soon as Minho notices that you’re softly snoring against his neck, it’s like flames appear around him. He goes into attack mode, keeping himself still and rubbing circles into the skin of your side while scanning the room for any threats
For a while, he can remain calm and confident that no one can disturb your sleep since most of the members were out doing their own things. As soon as he heard the door click open, his eyes narrowed, quick to look for the source of the noise because he just knew they’d be loud to announce their presence no matter who it was
“Shut the fuck up,” he uttered quietly but loud enough for Jeongin to hear as the younger appeared in front of the sofa, smirking down at the two of you cuddled up like a bunch of lovebirds. “Not a word.”
Putting his hands up in defense, he backs off because the killer look in Minho’s eyes is a little too intense to mess with. He minds his own business, putting his stuff away and heading to the bedroom to leave you two at peace
This occurred again and again as more members came piling in, your boyfriend spitting empty threats when he’d hear someone kick off their shoes or slam the fridge shut harder than necessary. He’s your protector to put it simply
changbin takes pictures in every angle he can muster
The moment he realizes that you’re snoozing away on his lap, Changbin restrains himself from jumping up with glee. He’s dreamed about cute, small moments like this with you where you finally felt safe enough to be so vulnerable with him
You look too adorable, cheek slumped against his leg, arm hanging off of the couch. He made sure the flash and sound were off before snapping photos of you from the left, the right, the front. Anything to catch your peaceful face
After calming down and putting the phone to the side, he soaked up the sentimental moment, a loving smile spread across his face while he massaged the back of your neck. It made him feel a sense of pride to know that you trusted him enough to do something like this, even if it wasn’t that big of a deal
Naturally, he does everything in his power to make you as comfortable as possible during your little nap. A blanket is thrown across your figure, a pillow is placed on his lap underneath your head and the tv was turned down to avoid loud noises. “What a little baby,” he cooed down at you
He loved it though. Scrolling through the pictures was the best part of the experience, picking the best one to make his lock screen and refusing to delete any of them despite the fact that there were around a hundred taken
hyunjin doesn’t even notice that you’re asleep until you don’t respond to him
In his defense, the movie that the two of you were watching was really good. His reactions had been over the top, so heavily captivated by the storyline that he hadn’t noticed how still you were
Your weight against his shoulder was something that he got used to fast, he was free space for you to lounge around on, more than happy to accommodate you in his hold. Honestly, he just figured that you were ignoring his ooh’s and ah’s. “That’s something you would do,” he laughed at the screen, turning his head to see your reaction only to be met with your closed eyelids
He froze then and there, studying your form and wondering if he should stay like this or move so that your neck didn’t hurt when you woke up from the weird angle
Ultimately, he would’ve felt like a criminal if he had let you sleep so uncomfortably. You waking up to a sore neck all because he decided not to help fix your position would probably fill him with years of guilt. Yes, it was that serious
So, slowly but surely, he laid you on your back across the couch and propped your head up with a pillow. Throwing a blanket over you and kissing your forehead, he eagerly hit play and got back to the movie
han falls asleep with you
The both of you, just like everyone else in the shared space, were so tired from your recent travels that you couldn’t fight sleep any longer. Han had sprawled out on his bed as soon as he entered his room, stomach sinking into the mattress and head shoved under the pillow
You stared down at your exhausted boyfriend with love in your eyes. “That flight was intense,” you yawned, to which he yawned back almost immediately
“I could probably sleep for 2 years straight,” his muffled voice made you laugh in response, watching as his body visibly relaxed. You debated getting changed into different clothes, but truthfully your eyelids were getting heavier the longer you stood in front of the bed
You followed suit, laying on top of him and snuggling into his side. Wordlessly, the two of you fell into the deepest sleep that you’ve had all week. It was a sweet sight and all of the guys witnessed it, Chan being the snitch and telling the whole house to come and look at the two of you
The boys all gathered by the doorframe, impressed that Jisung could just sleep soundly despite his partner being right on top of him. Of course, they took their own equal rounds of photos and videos for later blackmail usage but they decided against being total dicks, quick to clear the room and let you get the rest you clearly needed
felix has experience, he’s used to being used as human melatonin
Talking to Felix was so easy. He made it easy to come to when you felt stressed, sad, angry because he was good at empathizing while also searching for small ways to resolve your problem. This time around, you complained about sleep
Hearing that you hadn’t slept well the past few days put a frown on his face, his eyebrows furrowed with concern. Although he wished that you told him sooner, the need and urge to help soothe you and get you to sleep took over and before you knew it, you were draped in fuzzy blankets
“I help the members sleep all the time,” he kissed the spot under your ear, pulling you close enough to smother you in the warmth of his chest. The soft sound of his heartbeat relaxed your racing mind, his fingers coming up to your back and scratching lightly. “I guess I’m so boring that it puts people to sleep.”
You snicker with him, lightly slapping his arm. “You could never be boring,” Felix smiles down at you. He loves when you say pretty words like this. “You’re just comfy, you know? Sweet and kind and warm. Like a teddy bear.”
He also happens to love your tired rambling, quick to shush you and lull you to sleep so you can stop keeping yourself awake. Once he realizes that you’ve become a bit limp in his arms, he sighs in content before dozing off himself
seungmin does not let you nap in peace
Ruthless teasing is just in Seungmin’s nature, he jumps at every opportunity that is handed to him. This one is no different, you’re fast asleep against his arm and he just isn’t having it. Maybe it was rude and he should let you sleep, but you promised that you’d watch the baseball game with him so really, this is on you
He starts by tickling the area behind your neck gently with his fingers, retracting as soon as you squirmed in your sleep, careful not to get caught. Doing it again only bit him in the ass as you shot a glare up at him, wrapping your arms tighter around him. “Stop messing with me.”
“You said you’d watch this with me,” he whispered down at you, swiping his thumb against your cheekbone gently before tugging at the skin. You whined out and decided to just move altogether, throwing yourself onto the other side of the bed away from him
Your efforts failed as he followed you over, snaking his arms around you and pressing you flush against him. “You promised!” He protested, ticking your sides and watching in satisfaction as you thrashed around in his arms, desperate to just get away from him
Annoying you was his favorite thing to do but he also knew his limits, soon retracting his hands before patting your head and pulling the comforter over you. The match didn’t matter as much as he made it seem, anyway
jeongin remains unbothered and allows you to attach to him like a koala
The bed dipped near his legs as you settled yourself down on the bed, laying your head on the back of Innie’s thigh as he laid on his stomach, his fingers moving all over his phone as he played a mobile game
It wasn’t surprising to feel you wrap your limbs around his leg, you always became such a needy baby when you were tired and he was sure to remind you every single time. “That’s your spot of choice this time?” You can hear the smile in his voice as he taps away on his game
“Mhm,” your answer was mumbled, teeth digging into his jeans ever so slightly to make him jump, eliciting a laugh from the back of your throat at his reflex. “Gonna sleep for a bit. Don’t kick me off.”
He would never. You were secretly the cutest thing in the world to him, he relished the feeling of your body heat against his as you curled up into him. He loved the way you latched to him as soon as you felt a little sleepy, it was endearing
“I’ll try not to,” he reaches down to find your hand, squeezing it gently once its in his own before bringing it back up to where he had it originally. He was your safe place and you were more than happy to let his warmth send you to sleep

Supercorptober 2022 Day 15: Warmth
ao3 fic link. series link.
Lena stirs, reaches out a hand, excepting to find Kara, but blinks her eyes open when she finds nothing. The sheets are warm, so she knows Kara hasn’t gone far.
Despite the fact that she’s warm and comfy, she drags herself out of bed in search of her girlfriend. She’d much rather snuggle in bed with Kara than lie there alone.
She finds Kara in the living room, and it only takes one look at Kara’s slumped shoulders, a pout on her face as she gazes out the window, for Lena to know exactly what’s wrong.
Lena steps up behind Kara, arms winding around Kara’s waist as she steps close. “Morning,” Lena says, smiling when Kara immediately relaxes into the touch. Kara is warm, and despite the fact that Lena would rather be snuggling like this in bed, this is a close second.
“Good morning,” Kara sighs, her own arm rising to rest over Lena’s, holding her in place.
“Are you okay?”
“I thought the rain was going to pass.”
Lena doesn’t need to see Kara’s face to know she’s still frowning. Lena presses a kiss to Kara’s shoulder. “I know darling, I’m sorry.”
“Our whole day is ruined.”
Lena releases Kara from her hold, only to spin her around so they’re face to face. She lifts an eyebrow, even though she knows half the effect is lost because she’s in her pyjama’s and her hair is a mess. “Don’t you think you’re being just a little overdramatic?”
A smile plays across Kara’s lips. “Are you calling me overdramatic?”
Lena can’t help it, she tilts forward, presses a quick kiss to Kara’s smile. “Maybe, but that’s besides the point.” Lena takes both of Kara’s hands, tangles their fingers together between them. “Our whole day isn’t ruined.”
“It is,” Kara insists, smile gone. “We were going to go the market and go to the park for a picnic lunch and we were going to have dinner at the waterfront. We rarely have any days off together and then the one time we do, it rains and ruins all our plans. It’s summer, it’s not meant to rain!”
“I know, I’m sorry.” Lena gives their joined hands a squeeze. “I know it’s not what we planned, but just because we can’t go out, doesn’t mean we can’t spend the day together.”
Kara still looks sad. “You don’t mind if we’re just going to be stuck inside all day?”
“I think we can find something to do,” Lena smiles.
Kara’s the one to tilt an eyebrow at Lena this time, giving Lena a look. It’s not hard for Lena to figure out what Kara is thinking.
“That’s not what I was talking about,” Lena laughs. “Or not just what I was talking about.”
Kara grins. “What were you talking about then?”
“Well, we could start with me making you breakfast? I’ll even let you in the kitchen with me while I cook.” Kara’s notorious for stealing food while Lena cooks, which usually gets Kara banned from the kitchen.
Lena gets a kiss for her suggestion, before Kara practically drags her to the kitchen.
Kara hugs Lena from behind as she cooks, which isn’t the most convenient while cooking, but Lena isn’t going to complain.
Of course, the real motivation is revealed not long later, which isn’t surprising at all, as Kara sneaks a handful of chocolate chips before Lena can mix them into the pancake batter.
Still, Lena doesn’t mind.
Breakfast is a success and Kara’s mood has improved substantially by the time they’ve cleaned up after eating.
“So, what next?”
“I have an idea,” Lena smiles.
“Care to elaborate?”
Lena doesn’t elaborate, she just takes Kara’s hand, and leads her across the room, to the balcony door. Kara’s confusion only grows when Lena opens the door.
The air outside is warm, even if the splashes of rain hitting them are cool.
“What are you doing?”
“Having fun.”
Lena tugs them both forward, out onto the balcony, the rain instantly soaking their pyjama’s.
Kara’s grinning, so Lena knows she hasn’t made a mistake.
“Don’t tell me you’ve never wanted to do this?” Lena says, speaking louder to be heard over the rain.
“Do what?”
Lena reaches out and tugs Kara forward, meeting her in the middle for a kiss. Kara laughs against Lena’s mouth before she sinks into the kiss.
Kissing in the rain is now something she can tick off her bucket list.
Kara’s incredibly warm pressed against her front, the cold of the rain a sharp contrast. It’s cold, their hair is matted against their heads, water running in her eyes, but it’s fun and childish and she knows they can both go and shower together and get warm after, which is an added bonus.
“Who says a little rain was a bad thing?” Lena grins.
Kara laughs before she kisses Lena again and it’s perfect.

Bad day
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x reader
Summary: Sometimes all you need after a bad day is a cuddle.
Warnings: none. We're a little sad and a whole lot fluffy. This blog is 18+. Minors DNI.
Authors note: This is pure self indulgent fluffy trash! I’ve had a crappy day and I’m pretty sure hugs with Bucky is the only thing to get me out of this slump. (word count: 614)
The gentle pat of rain hitting the window was the only source of sound filling your bedroom. You’d been curled up on your bed for the past twenty minutes, watching the raindrops race.
Today was not a good day.
Between a building workload, living on your own for a few weeks and just generally not feeling great in yourself, you have struggled to get motivated and stop your mind from drowning.
You were so wrapped up in your own thoughts that you didn't hear the click of the front door and Bucky’s voice calling out to you.
He’d been away on a mission for the past three weeks and all he’d thought about was you. He found himself missing something new about you everyday but the main thing he found himself missing was your smile. God, he’d burn down the world to see you smile which is why when he got to the doorway of your bedroom he felt his heart sink.
“Hey doll, everything okay?”
Bucky’s voice shocks you out of your own head and you sit up quickly, wiping the stray tears off your cheeks before he could notice.
“ ‘m fine Buck,” you sniffle, “welcome home! Sorry I didn’t realise you’d be home yet, I guess I let time get away from me,” you ramble, offering him an unconvincing smile. The look he gives you, pure understanding and love, has your eyes threatening to fill with tears again.
“Oh honey,” Bucky sits next to you, pulling you into his arms. You bury your face in his neck, wrapping your arms around him tightly whilst his flesh hand runs through your hair.
“You wanna talk about it,” Bucky murmurs, cheek resting on the top of your head. You shake your head slightly, hands gripping the back of his shirt even tighter, like he was about to slip away.
Without saying another word, Bucky shifts your bodies so you're both laying down, your head was laying on his chest, legs intertwined as he brings the blanket from the bottom of the bed over you. His hand goes back to playing with your hair as his other hand draws soft shapes up and down your arm. You take a deep breath and let your mind feel some calm for the first time all day.
“I’m sorry Buck, you don’t need to deal with -”
“Shh, baby, anything to do with you is mine to deal with okay?” Bucky whispers against the top of your head. “Whether I’ve only just got back or I’ve been home for days or if I’m across the other side of the world, whatever you’ve got going on is on my shoulders as well. You are never a burden. We’re a team, doll.”
You feel your lips twitch up slightly and hold onto him tighter. He always knew the right things to say.
You don’t know how long you both laid there for. You’d missed him so much and you couldn’t believe you’d ruined his homecoming.
“I promise I’ll make it up to you,” you murmur, lifting your head to rest your chin on his chest.
“I know you will, doll,” the smile he gives you makes your heart clench, his thumb gently dragging across your cheekbone, “but for now, I’m gonna order us a pizza, then I’m going to run us a bath and then we’re going to watch a cheesy rom-com and then, whenever you’re ready, you can tell me what’s got you down. How’s that sound?”
You can't help the smile that breaks out across your face, “that sounds perfect, Buck,” you sigh, “thank you.”
Bucky matches your smile before leaning down and giving you the softest kiss, “me and you always, baby.”
As always, thank you so much for reading 🥺💓 if you want to leave a comment and let me know what you think I'll love you forever!

Hello! Um hopefully this is ok but can you do a platonic poly relationship with tech reader and philza? And one day the reader comes over to there abode with a basket full of sweets and pastries (muffins bread ect-) also cottagecore quiet reader please she/they pronouns
Thank you! :D
(A/N): I’m back yall! Sorry I’ve been gone (in terms of writing/request doing) for so long, I just kinda lost motivation to write for a bit
Ok so you’re childhood best friends with Technoblade
You two met when you accidentally bumped into each other in the village by the sbi fam’s house
You were calmly along the cobblestone path when a cute dress in a store window caught your eye. You kept walking, but you were eyeing the dress as you walked by it. It was just your aesthetic: a vintage ruby red dress with laces tying the two sides together, a floused opening to the bottom of the dress, and puffy white sleeves. It looked like it was in your size too. It was absolutely perfect.
Just as you were about to walk into the store to check out the price, you bumped into someone and fell to the ground behind you. Looking up, you saw that the person that you bumped into was also on the ground looking at you. You saw that the boy was about your age with fair skin and long pastel pink hair tied into a messy ponytail. Peculiarly, he had small tusks poking out from his bottom lip, floppy pig ears on the top of his head, and crimson eyes. A piglin hybrid perhaps?
Feeling a small blush work it’s way onto your face, you quickly got up and held out a hand to the boy. “I am so sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going! Are you okay? Here, let me help you up.”
He looked at your hand for a bit before he grabbed it with his own and allowed you to haul him up to his feet. You looked him up and down scanning him for any injuries he might’ve gotten from the fall. Luckily, it didn’t look like he got hurt. The boy looked down at his feet and bent over to pick up the picnic basket and the few muffins that dropped out of it. Putting the muffins back in, he handed the basket back to you with a small smile and a blush of his own.
“It’s really no problem, I’m fine so it’s no harm done. Actually,” he chuckled awkwardly and rubbed the back of his neck, “I wasn’t looking where I was going either. I got distracted by that sword in the window.” He pointed with a thumb over his shoulder at the armory shop next to the dress shop. In the window was a shining golden sword glimmering in the bright sunlight. If you squinted, you could see a sign that said that it had a high level fire aspect and looting enchantments.
“Well, it looks really pretty. I don’t know much about swords, so maybe you could tell me about them? I’m (y/n),” you gave him a small smile and stuck out your hand once more. He shook it with a grin, “Technoblade.”
That was the start of a beautiful friendship with him and his family
You met Philza, his father
The avian was extremely excited and happy that his quietest son finally made a new friend
He treated you like you were his own daughter
You might as well be a part of the family with how much you came over to babysit Tommy or to just relax with Techno
You always bring over a basket of baked treats/pastries whenever you came over
Lemme just say, the family feasted and always fought over the last one
When you started to come over at least once a day for a bit with a basket full of sweets, Philza had to pull you aside and ask you to slow down a bit with the treats
“Hey (y/n) could I actually talk to you for a second?”
“Sure! Tech, I’ll be out in a sec.” The piglin hybrid curtly nodded and walked out the back door to the backyard. You smiled at Philza before you set the basket down onto the table and started to put the rolls onto a plate.
“I know it’s not much today, I didn’t have much time yesterday to bake.”
“That’s fine, but it’s not what I wanted to talk to you about.”
“Oh?” Internally, you began to panic slightly. Oh Ender, you didn’t do anything bad did you? You couldn’t think of anything you did wrong. In fact, you actively avoided any wrongdoing or talking to strangers. Oh no, were you accidentally rude to someone?
“You aren’t in trouble,” he smiled lightly when he saw you slump in relief, “I was just wondering why you always bring over baked things. Don’t get me wrong, they’re delicious and we really appreciate that you take the time to make us things, but we kinda have a little too much. Maybe slow down a bit with bringing them over?”
You felt an embarrassed blush spread across your face as you nodded and put all your focus into transferring the bread rolls over to the plate. “Sorry Phil, I just bake whenever I’m stressed or bored and I just have a lot left over after I give some to my family.”
“And that’s completely valid! Just maybe don’t bring over so much, breaking up the fights with Tommy, Wil, and Tech just gets a bit much at times,” he grinned and clapped a hand over your shoulder.
As the years passed, you and Techno only grew closer
You taught Techno how to do meticulous neat braids in his hair while in turn he taught you some self defense
Mans makes sure you can properly and efficiently wield a sword and shoot a bow and arrow
Poor guy can’t lose another friend
When he moves to the tundra, he invites you to live with him but you reluctantly refuse
You had Tommy and Wilbur to look after in L’manberg
Being pissed at Schlatt when he exiles them
Following them into exile leaving behind shocked Manbergians
They didn’t think you were capable of the screaming, let alone such profanity
Practically launching yourself at Techno when he agrees to helping Pogtopia
Him making sure that the withers don’t harm you, even going as far as hitting them and luring them away from you
Staying with Techno after L’manberg is reinstated under Tubbo’s rule
Starting to dislike leadership and governments in general after Tommy gets exiled (again)
Convincing Technoblade to let Tommy stay with you two
Absolutely hating governments when the Butcher Army places Philza under house arrest and rolls up to your guys’ house and takes Techno and Carl
They lock you in the house, but you pick the lock with the bobby pin you kept the bandana pinned to your hair with
You follow them to L’manberg and break down when you see the anvils crashing down onto Techno
Screaming profanities at the Butcher Army and taking out your sword to attack them not noticing when Techno runs away safely
Philza watching everything from the balcony and cheering you on
You almost take away one of Fundy’s (whom you considered to be your nephew until the whole Butcher Army incident) lives before you feel a sword slice your arm and an arrow shooting its way through your thigh
Turning, you gave Tubbo and Ranboo the fiercest glare you could as you were standing over a half-dead Fundy with a sword dripping blood hanging at your side
You, the soft spoken and sweet one that gave everybody baked goods wherever you went, screaming profanities at the festival and the execution was scary enough, but this?
Absolute nightmare fuel, gonna stick in their minds for a long time
You attempt to fight them but you lose and end up with injuries too severe for you to continue fighting
Philza being the one to yell at you to go home to the tundra telling you that Techno’s alive bc of a totem of undying
You felt kinda stupid after that, Technoblade never dies (you often half joked that he was immortal like Philza)
You limp home and get met with a bone crushing uncharacteristic hug from Techno
He patches you up after reassuring you that the blood on him wasn’t his (he tells you about the duel in great detail)
In turn you tell him about your 3 v 1 duel, feeling a bit dejected bc you ended up losing
Him being literally so proud of you for facing 3 people at once, but also scolding you slightly for going into it blindly
When Philza moves in, everything feels complete and fulfilled (at least to you)
You help Philza clean and dress his damaged wing
Also helping him do some physical therapy so that he could at least move it
Comforting him whenever he felt down about not being able to fly again
You invite him and Techno to cook with you and it surprisingly ends up better than you expected it to be
When Tommy betrays Techno, you and Philza end up being the only ones he could fully trust (later slowly adding Niki and Ranboo to the mix when The Syndicate is formed)
You are Harpocrates when The Syndicate is formed due to your quiet nature
Philza and Techno fully 100% supporting your decision of not wanting to reveal your identity
At the second meeting you show up with a full mask covering your face and the opposite of what you normally wore (more of a grunge type beat)
Only communicating in nods and writing at meetings, living up to your nickname
You never reveal your identity to Niki or Ranboo
Pleasant late night conversations around the fire with hot chocolate and your baked goods
Techno still lets you braid his hair (sometimes you even put flowers in it) from time to time
You braid Philza’s hair when it gets too long
Braid chains when yall get too bored? Hell yeah
Ultimately, you three become a strong family unit (goals)

MASTERLIST
NOTE: This is going up way later than I said it would, so I’m sorry if you were looking forward to this, I just haven’t been motivated lately. But I really have to get out of my writing slump, and I’m hoping I can do that soon. Anyway, I hope you like it! Thanks for reading 🥰 Also, I know that Don’t Blame Me by Taylor Swift doesn’t exist at the time of early season 2, which is when I imagine this taking place, but for the sake of the story let’s pretend it does, because that’s the song I had in mind when I wrote the performance scene 😉😂
***
When Y/N walked into work Thursday morning, everything was as normal as it could be. She chatted with Elle on her way up the elevator, handed JJ her coffee as she made her way to Hotch's office, and ruffled Reid's hair when she passed him, smiling at the way he blushed at her affectionate gesture.
But when the team was called into the round-table room, and she watched as JJ presented their next case, Y/N felt a little sick to her stomach.
Over the past week, three strippers from the town she'd lived in for years before moving to Virginia had been found stabbed in various parts of the block surrounding Starsight. She knew the place well. Not only did she used to work there as a stripper after she graduated, but her best friend, Irene, owned the establishment, and she'd practically become the sister Y/N never had. She helped her through college and pushed her to go into the Bureau. If people, Irene's people, were dying, why hadn't she called or said anything?
Thankfully Y/N didn't recognize any of the dancers who'd been killed, because if she had, she'd feel a lot worse. But even still, she wanted to find who was behind it, and she would. The BAU always did. And with her background knowledge of the scene and the town, Y/N figured she might be able to lend an extra helping hand.
But first she had to tell the team about her past.
It wasn't a secret that she used to be a stripper. In fact, it wasn't really something she was able to hide. With someone as curious as Penelope Garcia in her life, Y/N wouldn't have been able to hide it even if she wanted to. Thankfully though, besides the occasional teasing comment from Morgan, and sometimes Elle, the team didn't treat her any differently. She wasn't Y/N The Former Stripper, she was just Y/N. She was good at her job, and everyone respected and liked her just the way she was.
While debriefing on the jet, she was about to bring it up when Morgan did it first, seemingly sly like he'd discovered some big secret. "Hey, Y/N, didn't you used to live near this place?"
She nodded, clearing her throat. "Uh, yeah, that's actually what I was going to bring up. Starsight is where I used to work before I moved here. I know the owner of the place, she's one of my best friends."
She could tell Morgan wanted to tease her some more about her previous work, but before he could get a word in Gideon spoke from behind her. "Irene Whitcomb?"
"Yeah."
"Good, when we land I want you, Morgan, and Reid to go talk to her. See if you can find anything out."
Y/N nodded, and in front of her, she noticed Reid was a little flushed. It didn't surprise her considering when everyone found out her previous job, he almost choked on his coffee, and Morgan laughed hysterically while he had a coughing fit. It was obvious to Y/N from the beginning that Spencer had had a little crush on her, and it didn't bother her at all. Every once in a while she'd pat his knee before she got up from her seat next to him or wink at him as they saw each other briefly in passing, just to see how he'd react, and by now it was a staple of their relationship. It never did go any further than that though, Y/N afraid she might make him too uncomfortable.
But even still, she couldn't help but give him a flirty smile as he blinked rapidly in front of her, still seeming to process what was going to happen when they landed. When he excused himself to go to the bathroom, she gave him one more wink and a small bite of her lip as he passed.
Morgan laughed softly beside her. "You're gonna ruin the poor kid if you keep that up, girlie."
"I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about," she responded, even though the smile on her face suggested otherwise.
***
A strip club being almost at full capacity in the middle of the day was more common than one might think. It had surprised Y/N when she first started working at Starsight, and even now she still didn't really understand why. Regardless it was almost 3pm, and if things had stayed the same over the years, which by the looks of things seemed to be the case, Irene should have been behind the bar.
It must have been a sight to behold, Y/N mused as she and her colleagues navigated through the club in search of its owner, and it sounded like the beginning to a bad joke— a former stripper turned FBI agent, a guy who looks like he just walked straight out of a procedural cop show, and an adorably and obviously nervous skinny kid with glasses and trembling hands walk into a strip club at 3pm... The thought made Y/N laugh to herself, right before Irene spotted her.
"Y/N!"
It was obvious that she wanted to jump over the bar and give her old friend a hug, but given the circumstances, Irene settled for dropping a shot glass, spilling the drink on the counter, and clapping her hands quickly a few times in succession. A wide smile and kind eyes greeted the three agents as they approached.
"Irene, hi," Y/N greeted with a large smile of her own. "I wish I could have came to visit under better circumstances."
"Right, me too..." The blonde woman's smile faded for a second, just long enough that the recognizable signs of grief came and go quickly before replacing themselves with bittersweet niceties. "Anyway, you wanna introduce me to your friends?"
"Yeah, Irene, these are my colleagues, Derek Morgan and Spencer Reid."
Irene reached out to shake their hands, eyeing up Morgan with only the slightest bit of shame, and laughing softly at Reid's polite avoidance of the gesture as he settled on a wave and a shy smile.
"We were hoping to ask you a few questions about the past week," Morgan said.
"Yeah, anything. Just give me a minute to clean this up and we can sit down."
***
"So, you used to work here?"
Y/N laughed, kicking Derek under the table. "Yep. Looks exactly the same as when I left, too. Only difference is that I'm not here to bring everyone in on Friday nights."
As Derek laughed, Spencer tensed up beside Y/N, and he started to play with his hands under the table they all sat at.
"She's not joking," Irene said as she approached the table with a smile. She took the seat next to Morgan and gave him a wink. "Petite Etoile over here was the main attraction."
Y/N groaned a little. "Oh, c'mon Irene, don't use my nickname here, that's not who I am anymore."
"Don't tell me you've lost your shine, Little Star." From the tone in her voice to the look on her face, it was clear to Y/N that Irene was just as devious as she'd been since the day they first met. "You know it would just break this town's heart."
"I highly doubt that... Besides, this little star shines just as brightly as it used to, thank you very much."
At that statement, Y/N felt Reid's knee hit the table with a loud thud. As Morgan questioned whether he was okay, she wondered what was running through his head. It didn't last long though, because shortly afterwards Morgan started asking questions about the case.
"Was it particularly crowded on the nights the dancers were killed?"
Irene hugged her arms to her stomach, her eyes drooping a little at the mention. "It gets pretty crowded every night to tell you the truth. But Friday nights are busiest. The nights Carrie, Lola, and Evelyn disappeared were just like any other night here."
"I know how hard it is to keep track of everyone, but is there anyone you might have noticed that seemed a little too lurk-y?" Even as she asked the question, Y/N felt like she already knew the answer.
And Irene really did seem to try to recall something, anything that could help, but she was visibly frustrated, tears welling in her eyes. "No, Y/N, I'm so sorry. After Carrie... the first time... we heightened security and everything, but it just wasn't enough, I... I don't know what to do."
Y/N reached across the table to grab her friend's hand. "It's okay, 'Rene. We're gonna figure this out, alright? I promise you."
Through tears, the blonde smiled and squeezed Y/N's hand. "I know you will, Little Star."
"Would it be possible for us to look at your surveillance tapes?" Reid asked quietly.
Irene looked up at him and nodded, still squeezing Y/N's hand. "Anything you need."
***
"So... Little Star, huh?"
Y/N rolled her eyes with a smile as she, Morgan, and Reid got into the car. When she got in the passenger seat, she waited for Morgan to be in the car before responding. "Oh, don't start. I swear to God, Derek, if you start calling me that I might just have to kick your ass."
"Well, you gotta at least tell me how you got the name?" he laughed, putting on his seatbelt while Reid climbed in the back.
"Well, how do you think? The place is called Starsight after all... So, Petite Etoile just made sense."
It was obvious that she was lying to get him to drop it, so Morgan kept pushing. "Okay, sure, but that's not the whole truth. Carrie, Lola, and Evelyn didn't have star names."
"Ugh, okay, fine, if I tell you will you shut up about it?"
"Promise."
Y/N caught a glimpse of Reid in the back through the rearview mirror. As expected, he was fidgety and just a little red.
She sighed and waited until Morgan pulled out of the parking lot to talk. "Okay. Once every month Starsight does a 'Midnight Sky' theme night. They light the place up in deep blue lights and everyone wears... space-themed outfits. Every dancer does their own special routine with songs and outfits that they pick on their own. My first time working a theme night, everyone seemed to really like what I did; I ended up doing an encore later in the night before we closed. Another dancer who worked with us at the time, Jenny, was learning French, so after my performance she called me Petite Etoile, and it just stuck."
"Okay, but why did you get the nickname and no one else?" Morgan asked with a smug smile. He knew she was still holding something back.
"Do you really want to know?"
"Yes, Y/N, I really want to know."
She sighed. "Let's... just say my outfit was... well, it barely covered me, and what it did manage to cover was covered by fabric in the shape of stars."
While Morgan laughed, Y/N looked in the mirror to see Reid with his head low, even more red than he was before. He was biting his bottom lip and fiddling the the seatbelt strap, and when his eyes briefly met hers in the mirror he was quick to avoid eye contact once again. If Y/N didn't find it completely adorable she would have felt more badly about it. But just to make sure, she called out to him.
"Reid, you okay back there?"
He looked up to meet her eyes again through the mirror, but only briefly before trying to ook anywhere else. "O-oh, yeah, I'm... I'm good."
Morgan laughed. "Yeah, I bet you are."
Y/N punched him in the arm and met Reid's eyes once more. "Sorry."
"Oh, you don't have anything to be sorry about, it's... it's okay, really, I-I'm not... it's..."
"Hey, don't worry about it," Y/N said calmly, giving him a reassuring smile. "We're all good here, right?"
"Right," Morgan and Reid said one after the other.
"Good. Now let's catch this creep."
***
Unfortunately no one had gotten much of anywhere in the next few hours. The security footage showed a man following each of the girls out of Starsight but there wasn't anything distinctive about him. Somehow he'd avoided all the cameras face to face, so he knew where they all were. And as for how he chose which dancers to target they weren't sure.
Until Irene walked into the station, that is.
"Y/N, I completely forgot something! I can't believe I missed it."
She stood before the team in the office that the station had given them for the time being, everyone else sitting down. Y/N stood up and nodded. "What is it?"
"Carrie, Lola, and Evelyn were all Spotlight Performers."
"What does that mean?" Elle asked from behind them.
Y/N turned to the group, her arms crossed. "Every other night Starsight spotlights a different dancer for a large performance at the end of the night, sort of like a grand finale before the club closes."
"So you're saying each of the girls was the Spotlight Performer on the nights they went missing?" Hotch asked, more like a clarification than a question.
"Yeah, Carrie on Saturday, Lola on Monday, and Evelyn on Wednesday," Irene said frantically.
Y/N reached out to grab her hand. "Well, it's Thursday. So, if he sticks to pattern, he's going after tomorrow's Spotlight Performer. Who do you have lined up?"
"Well, no one yet. After the murders the girls have been hesitant to schedule, and I don't blame them... So what should I do?"
Before Y/N could answer, Hotch did. "Y/L/N, you haven't gone undercover before, but I think it would be a good idea. You used to work at Starsight, you could lure him out."
She turned around sharply. "Oh, I... I don't know, Hotch, I haven't danced in so long, I'm not sure I—"
"He's right," Gideon interrupted. "It's the best chance we have at catching him."
Between Hotch and Gideon's opinions on the matter, Y/N knew she didn't have a say anymore.
"You still know your routine, Petite Etoile?" Irene asked, only slightly amused.
"Petite Etoile?" Elle wondered aloud.
Y/N heard Morgan laugh and she sighed.
***
"If I didn't know any better I'd say you were nervous," Irene said as she straightened another piece of Y/N's hair.
She played with the hem of the sheer robe she was wearing. "Well, I'm about to go undercover for the first time, stripping for the first time in years in front of all my colleagues so I can lure out a serial killer, so I guess you could say I'm a little nervous."
"Well... When you put it like that..."
Y/N looked up at her friend. "I'm sorry, Irene. Really, I'm okay, and we will get him, I promise."
"No, I know you will. I'm not worried. So... Who do they have watching you tonight?"
"Gideon and Hotch are outside, but Elle, Morgan, and Reid are in here with me. There are some extra officers all around the block, too, just in case."
"Hmm," Irene mused, and Y/N could tell she wanted to say something.
"What?"
"I don't know, it just surprises me they'd send Reid in here of all people. He seems almost more nervous than you."
Y/N laughed. "Well, when it comes to girls he gets a little nervous, but... he's good at his job."
"I'll take your word for it. But I also wouldn't be surprised if he short circuits when he sees you up there."
The thought made her smile a little, though she wondered how badly Morgan would tease him about the whole situation. Things between them all would no doubt be a little awkward for a while, but in no time they'd go back to normal like it never happened. At least that's what she told herself, because she wasn't sure what she'd do if her friendship with Reid was permanently damaged and awkward because of her past. The thought worried her just a little, but before she could get too psyched out, a knock at the door brought her back to reality.
"Y/N, it's Elle."
"Come on in!"
Y/N got up from the chair and turned around to meet Elle in the doorway. Her eyes wandered for a moment before nodding with a smirk. "Damn. Petite Etoile indeed."
Despite the nerves, Y/N smiled. "You here to give me an earpiece?"
Elle nodded and closed the door behind her. As she turned on the device and handed it to Y/N, she spoke. "You nervous?"
"A little, but it's just because I haven't done this in a while. Not to mention I'm doing it in front of everyone, and I'm luring out the unsub."
"No pressure, right?"
Y/N laughed, adjusting the earpiece and taking a deep breath. "It'll be fine. How long until I go on?"
"Five minutes. I'll be near the front with Reid. Morgan is in the back with a few officers, and everyone else is outside. We all have communication with you, so if we see him we'll let you know what to look out for."
"Got it."
"Y/L/N, can you hear me?" It was Hotch's voice through the earpiece.
"Yeah, loud and clear."
"Good. We're all in position. Whenever you're ready."
***
Elle met him near the front of the stage. To say he was nervous would be an understatement. Spencer didn't have a problem with strip clubs in the least, but it was bad enough that he'd thought about Y/N on multiple occasions in his dreams, now he was going to have to see her stripping just like he'd imagined many times over. The whole situation spelled out disaster, and if she didn't already know he had a crush on her, she most certainly would when the night was over.
As Elle approached him, he took a deep breath and stretched out his hands to calm his nerves. "She okay?"
Elle nodded. "Ready to go. I'm gonna stand on the other side of the stage, keep a look out for anyone who seems like he could be our guy."
"Right."
Before she left, Elle patted him on the shoulder and smiled knowingly. "Oh, and Reid... Try not to get distracted."
Yeah. He was fucked.
When the music that was playing stopped and the lights started to shift, Spencer took another deep breath. Irene's familiar voice came through the speakers.
"Thank you for coming to Starsight. Tonight's Spotlight Performer is a special one. Returning to the stage for the first time in years, shining brighter and better than ever before, give it up for our very own little star, Petite Etoile!"
A deep, seductive song that Spencer didn't recognize replaced Irene's voice as the lights shifted again, and the crowd around him applauded. It was just as crowded as it had been when he, Morgan, and Y/N met Irene the day before, but with a serial killer no doubt present and Y/N about to come on stage, everything felt heavier.
A dark silhouette broke through fog on the stage, and even though Spencer knew it was Y/N, it didn't feel real. He'd only ever seen her at work, in work clothes, and sometimes in casual clothes when they all went out for drinks on occasion.
So when she finally came into view, her hair tumbling down her back and shoulders rather than in a ponytail, and wearing almost nothing at all, he wasn't even sure it was her for a split second. But the way she looked, her magnetic presence and the way she carried herself across the stage was so remarkably her it was hard to miss. Everything about her confidence was elevated in that moment, and his own confidence—in his job and ability to function as a human being—was completely shattered when she caught his eye. It was just a split second, but that was all it took.
She must have noticed, because she gave him a small smile and a wink before turning her attention to the rest of the crowd as the music built. Spencer cleared his throat softly before glancing around, trying his best to scan everyone for anything suspicious. When he was sure there was nothing around him to be concerned about, he reluctantly let his eyes wander back to the stage.
By now Y/N had rid herself of the sheer robe that was on her, leaving her in a deep blue one-piece... contraption was the only word he could come up with. It was all connected by thin straps of fabric that weaved around every curve of her body, crisscrossing and leaving little to the imagination. Just like she'd described back in the car yesterday, small patches of fabric shaped like stars covered the front of her breasts and...
The second he looked down, she squatted, spreading her legs open and rolling her hips, exposing almost the entire front three rows of people to her barely-clothed pussy.
Spencer felt his cheeks grow warm as he quickly averted his gaze and pretended to survey the crowd again. To his credit, he did really search for anyone who could be the unsub, but the whole time he heard the song and the cheering crowd, and in turn Y/N occupied almost every corner of his brain.
When he finally had the courage to look at the stage again, she was making her way to a chair in the middle. Every step was on beat to the music and purposeful. She danced around the chair for a bit before another big beat drop in the song happened, and she squatted in front of it quickly, rolling her hips as she slowly got up.
Her eyes found his once more as she mouthed along to the words of the song, almost like she was singing directly to him. He wouldn't have thought anything of it, but she held his gaze for much longer than he'd been able to handle, and she knew exactly what she was doing. Which was made evident when she bit her bottom lip and ran her hands down her body, stopping at her knees before she sat in the chair and spread her legs, her hands finally dragging along the insides of her thigh.
Her eyes remained on him the entire time.
Butterflies immediately erupted in his stomach at her intensity, stronger than they'd ever been before. He'd always felt it when she affectionately ruffled his hair or patted his knee in passing, but now? She wasn't even touching him and he was about to crumble to the ground.
Thankfully something in his ear saved him from that. "I've got a visual." It was Morgan. "He's in the back, black long sleeve and jeans. Buzzcut. Y/N, look up at me and blink three times when you see him."
Reid looked up and and noticed her doing it. To anyone else it wouldn't have seemed out of pace, but he could tell she was a little rattled. In any case, she broke contact with Morgan and continued on with her performance as if nothing happened.
Though it meant there was most definitely a serial killer in the room and he would follow Y/N out of the club later, Spencer was glad for the past minute, because he wasn't sure how much more of the performance he could take. Suddenly there was a job to focus on again, and he was thankful for that.
***
"You're sure you're okay?"
Y/N laughed as she approached her motel room, phone in hand. "Yeah, Irene, I'm okay. Promise. He got a hold on me but my team was there to stop him before he did anything. No nicks or bruises or anything."
"Okay... You were great out there by the way. If you weren't such a kick-ass FBI agent now, I'd ask you to come back."
Laughing, she turned her head and noticed Reid at the end of the hall, walking to his room. He caught her eye and gave a shy smile before disappearing behind the door and closing himself off from her. She contemplated a moment before starting her journey to his room. "Well, I'm glad we could help. Maybe if I find myself in town again, I'll stop by."
"Yeah, you better. Though I'd prefer if a serial killer wasn't involved."
"You and me both. I'll come see you before we leave tomorrow morning, yeah?"
"Yeah. Goodnight, Petite Etoile."
With an affectionate roll of her eyes, Y/N nodded though her friend wouldn't be able to see. "Night."
She hung up and put the phone in her bag, taking a deep breath before knocking on Reid's door.
The answer was almost immediate. He stood before her, and it looked like he'd just gotten undressed, wearing grey pajama bottoms and a white tee shirt. "Oh, Y/N, h-hi," he stammered, pushing his glasses up his nose a little. "What's up?"
"Do you... mind if I come in? I know it might sound a little weird but I don't really want to be alone right now..." It was true. Though she was okay after catching the unsub, the idea of being alone after everything that happened was sure to leave a small ache that wouldn't let her sleep, and having company would make a good cure.
"Oh, no, that isn't weird at all. Uh, sure, come on in." He stepped aside and opened the door wider to let her through. She smiled gratefully as she passed him, careful to notice the faint color that adorned his cheeks.
When he closed the door behind them, she set her bag down on the floor and turned to meet him, playing with the sleeve of the FBI jacket she was wearing. Before leaving Starsight, she'd changed into underwear, leggings, and a thin tee shirt. She debated taking the jacket off, but knowing how much of her body her colleague and friend had no doubt seen that night, she figured for his sake she'd leave it on. At least for now.
"I know it's late and we should probably get to bed, but... Truthfully I don't know how well I'll be able to sleep."
Spencer seemed concerned. "You're... you're okay? He didn't hurt you badly, did he?"
"Oh! No, he didn't, I'm just... rattled, that's all. I'll be okay, really. It's just that I haven't... performed in a long time, and all of that added on to being serial killer bait was just... eventful. That's all."
"Well, if it makes you feel better, you were great."
Y/N raised an eyebrow, a small smirk playing at her lips. "Oh?"
"Oh, I mean at handling the unsub. Not that you weren't great at the other thing, of course! I just... I just meant that... I didn't mean... Um..."
"Hey, it's okay, I'm... I'm not mad or anything, I'm... flattered."
The redness on Spencer's face became more vivid under the dim glow of the room. "I- Really?"
Y/N smiled and took a step closer. "Mhmm. Y'know... Truthfully it was really hard for me not to look at you the whole time. Out of everyone in that whole room, I wanted to see only you."
His gaze wandered up and down her body briefly before meeting her eyes. "You did?"
"Mhmm," she said again. Her hand reached out to graze his bare arm, and he shivered under her light touch. "You can stop me if this is too weird, but... I really like you, Spence... Like, a lot. And, I think it's pretty obvious that you like me, too. Am I wrong?"
He swallowed. "Um... No. You're not wrong."
She was only inches away from him now, her hands gently caressing his shoulders and chest. She looked up at him through her eyelashes and smiled. "Do you want to kiss me as badly as I want to kiss you right now?"
"Um... T-truthfully I think I might want... to kiss you more..."
Y/N laughed and balled his shirt in one hand, the other snaking up to the back of his head and running through his hair. "Okay, then... You gonna prove it, or what?"
He bit his lip softly before leaning down and capturing her lips in a kiss that made her dizzy. Her hands tightened their grip on him, and the second her lips parted, he wasted no time gently swiping his tongue across her bottom lip, his confidence growing with every second. She groaned into him, pulling her body flush against his and forcing him to wrap his arms around her waist to keep steady.
They pulled away for air eventually, and by the gleam in his eyes when she looked at him, she knew exactly what she had to do.
"No one is rooming with you, right?"
"N-no. It's just me."
"Good." She whispered it seductively as she removed her hands from him and slowly unzipped her jacket, keeping eye contact with Spencer the whole time. Except, of course, when his eyes glanced down to see the progress the zipper was making. Once she slid it off her shoulders and let it drop to the floor, he took her in, his tongue dancing behind his lips.
She let him have a few more seconds before taking a step forward and kissing him again, both of her hands cradling his face and bringing her thumbs to gently rub his cheeks. He melted into her completely, wrapping his arms around her again in no time. While their kisses were slow and passionate for a minute, eventually they grew hungrier, and Y/N hadn't even realized they'd been moving until they were toppling onto the bed, Spencer falling back and her landing on top of him.
They broke apart only for a moment to adjust themselves, but went right back to each other once Y/N straddled his legs and he leaned back on his hands to keep himself upright.
Her hands played in his hair as she kissed him, each brush of her tongue against his sending him into a downward spiral. He'd only ever dreamed of this, and even then, this was better than any dream. Y/N herself was better than any dream.
She ground her hips against him, causing him to groan into her mouth, and he pushed himself forward to be closer, needing to be completely wrapped up in her for as long as he could. When she pulled her mouth from his and settled her hands on his shoulders to keep him from moving, he whined a little, the sound completely taking the both of them aback.
She smiled and cocked her head to the side. "I've thought about this for so long... You have no idea how many times I've wanted to kiss you since we met."
"Really?"
With a nod, Y/N toyed with the collar of his shirt, tugging it and slowly grinding her hips against him again. "Have you ever thought about it?"
It was a question they both obviously knew the answer to, but she wanted to have some fun. She loved seeing how shy he got, it made her want him even more.
"Yes... I... I think about you a lot," he breathed, blinking at her as she slid her hands down his chest and found the bottom of his shirt. She smiled and raised it up, her touch sending shivers all over his body.
"What have you thought about? Any specifics?" she asked once his shirt was all the way off. Her fingers found their way to his neck again as she pulled herself closer.
"Oh, I... Um... I-I've thought about... kissing you on the jet in front of everyone."
Y/N smiled and pushed his glasses up his nose, then traced her finger down over his lips and hooked it under his chin to tilt his head up, exposing his neck. "I've thought about that, too... You know what else?"
Spencer blinked at her, urging her to continue.
She leaned forward and kissed the underside of his jaw, then his neck, leaving small kisses in between every soft word. "I've thought about how good your hands would feel on me." Her hand grabbed one of his and brought it to rest on her side, slipping under her shirt. "Have you ever thought about touching me?"
"Yes," he breathed as she moved her mouth back up his jaw and to the corner of his mouth.
She brought her lips just inches from his, and he could feel them just barely as she spoke. "Do it. Please."
And then she let go of him, bringing both her hands to his face as she kissed him again. Her legs wrapped around him tighter as he used both of his hands to grip her sides. As soon as they knew they were stable enough not to fall backwards, Spencer slid his hands slowly up her torso and barely ghosted over her breasts. She could tell he was a little hesitant, so she pushed further into him, practically trapping his hands in between their chests. Her kisses grew deeper and more desperate as he palmed her breasts, letting a moan or two slip out to encourage him further.
Thankfully it worked, because with every passing second he got more confident with his touches. When Y/N moved her hips against his again, he sighed into her mouth and brought one of his hands out from under her shirt and to her head, running his fingers through her hair.
At this point he was noticeably hard beneath her, and she was desperate to feel more of him. So Y/N peeled herself away from Spencer and snuck her hand down to play with the waistband of his pants. "You wouldn't happen to have a condom on you, would you?"
"Oh, uh, a-actually Morgan gave me one as a joke last week. It's, uh, in my wallet. In my bag."
Y/N laughed. "Sounds like him. Why don't you go grab it."
He nodded as she got up off of him. While he walked over to his bag, Y/N quickly removed her shirt and leggings, leaving her only in a pair of thin black panties that were almost too small. Before he turned around, she sat back on the edge of the bed and spread her legs wide, leaning back on her elbows as she waited.
If she didn't know any better she would have thought that when he turned around, his eyes were going to fall out of his head. He took small steps towards the bed, and she made the 'come here' motion with her finger. "Take your pants off for me?"
He all but scrambled to get them off, and Y/N smiled affectionately at him as she watched, hoping to calm his nerves by letting him know that he had nothing to be nervous about.
But just to be sure, she told him as much anyway. "You've got nothing to worry about, Spence. Trust me, I... I want this."
Once his pants were off, he met her at the edge of the bed, standing in between her legs. "I do too, I just... It's just that I've only ever... done this before once, and... I'm not very experienced, and I don't want to disappoint you."
Y/N sat up and grabbed his hips, leaning forward to press small, soft kisses to his stomach as she looked up at him. "You could never disappoint me. Promise."
Once she was sure he was a little more relaxed, she moved her kisses lower, until they reached the waistband of his underwear. She hooked her fingers under it and slid them down slowly, keeping eye contact with him until they dropped to the floor. Only then did she look down at his dick, and it was even better than she imagined.
Giving a satisfied hum, she pressed a soft kiss to the tip and fluttered her eyes up to meet his, the look on his face completely awe-struck. She took the tip of his dick in between her lips and sucked gently, swirling her tongue around it as she watched his mouth fall open, a sigh escaping. She could tell he was holding back a little, so she traced her finger along the length of him and kept sucking lightly at the tip, hoping to get some noise out of him.
Y/N took him in her mouth completely, bobbing her head up and down just a few times to get him wet before removing her lips with a pop. When she gripped him firmly with one hand and steadily began to stroke him, he finally gave her what she hoped for.
"Y/N," he groaned, just above a whisper. His eyes were closed, but he opened them when she stopped.
"You wanna put it on or should I?" she asked.
"Spencer turned the small packet over in his hand before nodding. "I can do it."
Y/N scooted farther onto the bed and slid off her panties as he got to work, and thankfully he wasn't as nervous anymore. He moved to take off his glasses, but she stopped him. "Keep them on?"
The devious grin on her face made him blush, and he nodded, crawling over the top of her and pressing tentative kisses to her stomach, only he travelled downward instead of up to her mouth.
"You don't have t—"
"I want to," he reassured, kissing her inner thighs. "Truth be told, Y/N, I've thought about doing this, too. Is that okay?"
"Yes," she responded clearly, extremely turned on by the needy tone in his voice.
Almost immediately after she answered, his tongue darted out to taste her, swiping gently over her clit and sending her into a state of speechlessness. She leaned up on her elbows to watch as Spencer took his time, exploring and savoring every inch of her. She knew now why he'd wanted to take his glasses off, but if anything the sight of them riding up his face as he ate her out made the whole thing even hotter.
"Fuck, Spence, that... that feels so fucking good," she breathed, trying to keep her eyes open to look at him but ultimately failing.
Her words emboldened him, and he slipped a finger slowly inside her, his tongue paying special attention to her clit. He worked them together in a slow, sensual rhythm that eventually drove her to the edge. And she told him so.
"You're gonna make me cum," she breathed, willing herself to open her eyes. She found him staring up at her as best as he could in his position, the hungry sparkle in his eye pushing her further. What finally pushed her over the edge was when he sucked gently on her clit and groaned against her as she called out his name. Everything blinded her for a moment as she rocked her hips against his face, needing to hang on to every last second of her orgasm.
When she finally came down, Spencer pulled away and adjusted his glasses, to which Y/N bit her lip and moaned once more. "You're sure you've only ever done this once?"
He laughed a little, sucking his fingers clean with a shrug before answering. "Yeah, but I'm a quick-study."
Y/N smiled and reached one of her arms out to him. "Come here, quick-study."
The two of them smiled as their lips found one another, her hands flying to his hair once again. His hands gripped her waist, and his dick pressed up against her lower stomach, making her groan against him.
Without another word, Y/N hooked her legs around his waist and shifted their weight, rolling them over so she was straddling him now. Spencer reached up to move her hair to one side of her face, and then soon after she sat up, placing her hands on his chest.
"I'll tell you something else I've thought about," she said lowly, scratching down his chest just lightly enough to give him goosebumps. She then used one of her hands to grip his dick and lifted her hips up, running the head of him through her wetness as she looked down at him. "I've thought about how good you would look while I ride you. More than once, actually."
She sank down onto him, just a little, and his face sure enough twitched in pleasure, making Y/N smile to herself. "What about you? You ever imagine me riding this pretty cock?"
"Fuck, Y/N, yes, I— Oh my god..."
She sat down completely, rocking her hips forward a little and pressing her hands harder into his chest. "Fuck, you feel so good..."
She set a slow pace, making sure to pay extra attention to Spencer's face as she worked him. Just like she'd done before, he seemed to have a hard time keeping his eyes open, but his hands gripped her hips so tightly she was sure they'd leave bruises. The thought of that spurred her on, and she picked up the pace, bouncing steadily on his cock.
"Ohhh, fuck," she groaned, her hands leaving his torso to grab her breasts. He opened his eyes and watched her, letting out a soft moan of his own. His hands slid up her sides and under hers, replacing them with his own firm grip. She leaned forward a little so he wouldn't have to reach up that far, placing both of her hands on either side of his waist.
"Tell me," she managed to say as she continued riding him. "You ever think about fucking me at work? In the round-table room or over my desk? I know I have..."
He continued to pinch and pull at her nipples while barely being able to keep his eyes open. "Y-yes... Fuck, Y/N, I think about you all the time..."
"Feeling's mutual. Sit up for me?"
Spencer opened his eyes and she helped him sit up. They adjusted for a second before she wrapped her arms around his neck and started moving again, rocking her hips into his and giving him a better angle to hit inside her deeper.
"Fuck, baby, you feel so good," she breathed against his lips before she kissed him, missing the feel of his lips on hers. Their bodies clung together perfectly, every movement feeling better than the last, until they were both obviously close to coming undone.
Sure enough, the moment she squeezed her legs together and clenched herself around him, he groaned into her mouth and bucked his hips forward. "Y/N... I..."
She pressed her forehead to his and tugged at his hair, quickening her pace just a little and feeling herself geting close as well. Any moment now and she would feel it.
"Me, too," she breathed, brushing her nose against his. Within a matter of seconds, they were both unraveling, sighing out each others' names and holding on to each other for dear life as they rode out their highs.
Eventually Y/N slowed her hips to a stop, and she slumped against him, pressing one final kiss to his lips before she got off his lap and pulled him down to lay beside her, immediately snuggling into his side and burying her face in the crook of his neck.
"So, was that better than you imagined?" she murmured against his neck, pressing kisses along collarbone.
Spencer laughed and pulled her even closer. "Even better. No dream could ever do you justice."
She smiled, feeling herself growing sleepy. "You sap... But, for the record, I could say the same thing about you."
"Really?" He seemed genuinely curious.
Y/N looked up at him and smiled, tracing patterns on his chest with her fingertips. "Really. I wasn't kidding, Spence, I think about you... probably more often than I should. You're distracting."
"I'm distracting?" he mused. "You're... you. Seriously, it's a surprise I haven't completely made a fool of myself around you since we met. Especially after we all found out about your other job."
"Right... That doesn't... weird you out, does it?"
"That you used to be a stripper?"
She nodded, truthfully a little worried. She wasn't sure why, but it had always been a problem in her previous relationships, and she'd gotten used to that.
"No, of course that doesn't weird me out. I mean, I was definitely more intimidated around you, and I figured you were completely out of my league... Truthfully, I think you still might be."
"Oh, don't sell yourself short, Doctor. You're perfect, and really, if anyone was out of anyone's league here, it would be me. I'd be lucky to have you in any capacity, you know that, right?"
He blushed, bringing his forehead to rest against hers again. "Well... In any case, I really do like you, and... If it's not too weird, maybe you'd want to go out sometime?"
Warmth bloomed in her chest as she reached out and grabbed his hand, lacing their fingers together. "Of course. I would love to."
***
"Make it stop," Y/N whined, covering her ears with the pillow.
Spencer stirred beside her, barely awake himself. The knocking at the door wasn't stopping, and in a huff of annoyance, Y/N decided she'd had enough.
"We're getting up!"
She only realized what she did after the door opened and Elle walked in, a shit-eating grin on her face. "Oh my God, you were in here last night! I came by your room and tried calling..."
Y/N and Spencer both froze, completely awake and now well aware of the fact that someone else knew about their... sleeping arrangement.
"Uh, yeah... Yeah, I was here. Sorry if I worried you," Y/N stammered, trying to keep her cool. "I-I promised Irene I'd stop by this morning for breakfast before we left, so I should probably do that. Do, um... Do you mind?"
Elle laughed, giving the two of her friends a once-over before nodding. "Sure thing, Little Star. Oh, and uh... Good for you, Reid, proud of you."
"Elle," Y/N groaned, clutching the covers tighter around her bare torso.
"Right. Don't be too late."
After she left, Y/N leaned over to Spencer and rubbed his arm. "I'm sorry. I probably should have—"
He stopped her by pressing his lips to hers in a soft kiss. When he pulled away, his hand brushed the hair from her face and he smiled. "It's fine. I don't care who knows. I mean, as long as you don't, Petite Etoile..."
He said it with a grin reminiscent of the one Elle had just adorned, and it made Y/N laugh. She kissed him again and ruffled his hair. "I'm gonna get you for that."
"What? It suits you."
"You are not calling me by my stripper name. It's bad enough Elle and Morgan are probably gonna call me that for the rest of my life, I don't need it from you, too." She smiled as she said it, hoping that he knew she was only joking.
Either way, Spencer looked at her adoringly and took her hand in his. "Well, then... how about I just call you mine?"
"I like the sound of that."

That prompt was so good, can't believe its your first time, it was great? How about one for the Boys, give anakin a little beating like he deserves but with comforting obiwan, with the one that was about 'it's alright, I'm here' bc that just scream THEM. Again your writing is brilliant and I always look forward to more when you get the time and motivation! Things I barely have these days ha. But yes that if you want, take your time and I look forward to it as always!
Ahhh thank you for the kind words!! This is set after Shadow Warrior and I did research beforehand but i'm sorry if there are any inaccuracies | from these prompts
The hand in Obi-Wan's is warm, a bit too warm. He feels the fingers twitch, and although he's aware it's unbecoming behaviour, he curses Count Dooku once more for putting Anakin in this position.
He takes a deep breath, turning his gaze back to his former padawan's prone form.
Anakin is slumped in the medical cot with pillows and an elevated backrest to help him sit up slightly. His eyes flutter weakly, half-awake, unable to find sleep despite the pain and exhaustion he must be feeling. A heart monitor and IV pole stand beside the cot.
Kix would be here to check on Anakin later, but so far, everything looks fine... well, as far as fine goes in this situation -- which is not at all fine.
The whole situation on Naboo is in the past and they're now heading back to Coruscant, but Count Dooku's twisted trap still makes Obi-Wan's hands clench. No one should ever have to make the decision Padme had.
In the end, even though they lost Grievous, Obi-Wan is glad Padme made the switch. Looking at Anakin now, he doesn't want to know what would happen if she didn't.
"Mas'r?" the tired voice snaps him out of his thoughts. Anakin's eyes are on him, half-lidded and exhausted.
"Anakin?" Obi-Wan asks. "What is it? Are you in pain?"
"Obi..." Anakin whispers, seeming to have not heard any of the questions. "Obi...Wan..."
"I'm here," he answers, gently squeezing Anakin's hand and worriedly noting how tense it's become. "Can you tell me what's wrong, dear one?"
"Mmm... Wha's wrong?" Anakin repeats weakly, words slurring and eyes starting to glaze over. His breaths become shakier by the second. Obi-Wan's worry escalates.
"Anakin, what is it?" he asks again, standing from his seat.
"I... I d-don't... 'm dizzy... not--" Anakin stops talking abruptly, and the heart monitor beeps in alarm.
"Anakin!" Obi-Wan's eyes widen as Anakin tenses before he starts to convulse. A pit grows in Obi-Wan's stomach when his mind finally catches up with his eyes. He's not unfamiliar with seizures, but his knowledge is still very limited -- he makes a mental note to change that later.
As it's the only thing he can do right now, Obi-Wan fumbles with his comm, quickly calling for the Kix.
"General?" Kix's voice filters in a second later -- a terribly long second.
"Kix, I need you back in the medbay now," he immediately says. "It's Anakin. He's having a seizure."
"I'm on my way, General," the medic answers, and the sound of rushing footsteps can be heard. "Time the length of it if you can, Sir."
Obi-Wan's eyes flick to a chrono nearby, nodding even though he knows Kix can't see it. "Of course, Kix. Thank you--" A sharp groan leaves Anakin's mouth as his body continues jerking involuntarily. The pit in Obi-Wan's stomach deepens. "And Kix, please hurry."
"Yes, Sir." The call disconnects.
Obi-Wan turns his attention back to his former padawan. "Hang in there, Anakin," he whispers, pushing a wave of calm and comfort through their bond. He feels helpless, and he doesn't like it.
It takes a great deal of self-restraint to keep himself from cursing his supposed grandmaster for the tenth time in the past four hours.
By the time the two-minute mark hits, Anakin starts to settle down. The convulsion of his limbs now slows to a light twitch. A deep sigh leaves Anakin's lips as his muscle finally relaxes, but he doesn't wake up. Obi-Wan's heart drops with concern.
Kix bursts in then -- not a moment too soon. He crosses the room in a small run, and when Obi-Wan blinks, he's already standing on Anakin's other side. "How long, General?" the medic asks as he checks Anakin's breathing.
"Two minutes, I think. It just stopped." Obi-Wan answers.
"All right." Kix nods. He writes something on his datapad before turning his attention toward Anakin, tapping his right shoulder.
"General Skywalker?" Anakin doesn't respond though his right eye twitches slightly at the call. "General," Kix calls again and taps his collarbone. "We need you to wake up."
This time Anakin lets out a small moan, eyes beginning to crack open. "That's it, Sir," Kix says with a smile. "There we go." Obi-Wan sighs in relief when he sees his former padawan's blue orbs. "Hello, Anakin," he says softly.
"Mas...ter?" Anakin croaks, voice hoarse and shaking.
"Yes, Anakin. It's me." He smiles. "I'm glad you're awake, dear one." A whimper leaves the Knight's lips. Obi-Wan's smile is replaced by a concerned frown. "Anakin? What's the matter?"
"I d-don't--" a wince, "feel so--" Anakin gags, dry heaving.
That's enough of an answer for both Kix and Obi-Wan. The medic quickly turns Anakin over to his side, silently talking reassurance to keep him calm. Obi-Wan grabs an empty basin and places it under Anakin's cheek.
The younger Jedi gags again, and this time he starts to throw up the contents of his stomach. His shoulder trembles with the strain. Tears stream down his eyes.
"It's okay, General," Kix says. "Let it all out."
It's a few too-long moments later that Anakin finally stops heaving. His head drops to the pillow once he does, his breaths coming out as soft pants. After making sure Anakin won't throw up again, the Jedi Master sets the basin down.
Anakin lets out another whimper. "Mas'er," he calls desperately, and his hand slowly reaches out. Obi-Wan takes it immediately, caressing the scarred skin with his thumb gently. "Hey, it's all right. I'm here," he soothes, moving to sit on the bed.
"...'m tired, Mas'r..." Anakin winces and burrows closer to Obi-Wan's side. "'m so tired... d-don't like this..."
"Oh, dear one," Obi-Wan says, starting to stroke Anakin's sweaty hair.
"General." Looking up at the call, he meets Kix's eyes. The medic has an understanding smile on his face. "I'll go empty the basin then, Sir. I'll be close if you need me."
Oh.
Obi-Wan smiles. The clones' level of care and empathy has never ceased to amaze him. And it reminds him just how blessed they are to have them as friends. "Thank you, Kix, for everything."
The medic nods. He grabs the basin from the floor before taking his leave. When the door slides close, Obi-Wan turns his attention back to his padawan. He finds Anakin's blue eyes already on him, bright and puffy from tears.
"Oh, Anakin."
The younger Jedi chokes on a sob. "'m sorry," he mumbles. "'m sorry, Obi-Wan, 'm so sorry."
Obi-Wan frowns. "For what, dear one?"
"I'm sorry," Anakin whispers. "...my fault... Grievous... escaped."
Obi-Wan's chest tightens. "No, Anakin," he soothes, brushing his fingers through Anakin's golden curls. "That wasn't your fault. Not at all."
"But--"
"No, Anakin."
"But I--"
"Shh, none of that, Padawan." Obi-Wan whispers. "It wasn't your fault, all right? You did well, and I'm very proud of you."
Anakin sniffs, his eyes blinking slower and slower. "Obi--"
"Hush, dear one." Obi-Wan adjusts Anakin's blanket, pulling it till it reaches his abdomen. "It's all right, Anakin. Just rest." He laces a sleep suggestion around the word and pushes it toward his former padawan's presence.
The effect is almost immediate.
Anakin sighs, and his eyes flutter shut. "Stay?"
Obi-Wan smiles. "Always."

i like how u write Shigaraki 😳❤ can u do maybe some bully reader with a sprinkle of virgin!shiggy hehe 🥰 reader can be dom or sub its up to you!! ❤
AH i’ve been meaning to check my inbox but ommmg this motivates me so much, thank you ! <3 I decided to do some dom reader - hope its ok!
➨ paring — Virgin! Tomura Shigaraki x Fem! Bully! Reader
➨ warnings — Sub! Shigaraki, Dom! Reader, slight mommy kink, slight masturbation, humiliation, degradation, cum denial, begging
PART 2
Shigaraki slumped into the ground, his back against the now wet wall. It hasn’t even been 3rd period yet and you already completely ruined his day. You and your group of followers threw water at him, something about him smelling bad. His papers and books were thrown out of his bag, soggy and falling apart from the water poured on them and his favorite hoodie now uncomfortably wet.
Shigaraki would already be late to class by now so he didn’t bother to scurry off like your friends did when they heard the late bell for class. You walked a bit behind them, turning your head back at him a few times before completely disappearing down the hall.
Shigaraki wasn’t sure what he did for you to hate him so much. It was almost like you were out to get him since day one. And of course, you being so popular, it made him the school outcast, well, even more of an outcast.
He tried everything — ignoring you, doing everything you asked him, even trying to fight back. The last try left him with a sprained wrist and bruised cheek. So in the end, everything left him either humiliated, damaged, or hurt.
He finally stood up as he heard footsteps from a hall monitor coming down the hall he was in, grabbing his backpack that contained the remaining contents of his school stuff before running off into a nearby bathroom to hide. Luckily, nobody was there to see how disheveled he looked.
Shigaraki took off his hoodie, thankfully the hoodie was thick and caught most of the water, leaving his long sleeved undershirt a bit damp but nothing he couldn’t handle for the rest of the day. He set everything wet under the hand drier, letting the hot air dry them a bit.
As he dried his face, something at on the floor caught Shigaraki’s eye. It was a small piece of paper that was also damp. He picked it up confused, did it fall out of his hoodie pocket?
‘’Shigaraki, meet me in room 204 after school today. Be there.’’ He could read out from the smudged, running ink. Shigaraki looked at it confused, yeah it was definitely for him but why? How did this even get into his pocket? He’s usually always alone, he didn’t hang out or spend his school days with anyone.
“Hey! Get to class!” The voice of the hall monitor outside of the bathroom almost made him yelp. He stuffed the note into his back pocket, grabbing all his stuff that was thankfully a bit more dry before leaving.
You eyed Shigaraki from across the cafeteria, a small smirk tugged your lips as you saw him pull out the tiny piece of paper for the 12th time that lunch. A wave of satisfaction overcame you every time you saw his eyebrows furrowed at the paper.
You tried to make the note as vague as possible, you could tell from the confused look on his face that he didn’t have a clue on who sent it. Just how you wanted it.
You turned your thoughts back to your friends, mixing your laughter with theirs. You had no idea what they were laughing at. These people are assholes, why do you hang out with them again? A small boy whimpered on the floor, his food spilled all over his body. Oh, that's why. Like hell you’d be on the receiving end of their bullying.
It’s not like you felt bad. School was a hierarchy, these poor people were just at the bottom. When you first got here, you quickly rose to be at the top. Not like you expected to be anything less. You held yourself to a high standard, of course you’d be at the top.
So it made you sick seeing how some of these people held themselves, especially Shigaraki. He looked and smelled like he only showers every other day, he alternated between 2 hoodies each week, did he even bother to wash them?
He barely talked to anyone, usually playing some videogame on his phone. Does he not care about himself? Well maybe that was why you targeted him, you just wanted him to be better. Nothing else.
Then you noticed how much of a pervert he was. If a girl was ever near him, his eyes would automatically shoot to their chests before awkwardly shifting away from them. In P.E, you found it funny how he’d try to hide his boners after seeing all the girls in their shorts. How gross, he’s a horny little virgin.
You almost felt bad, maybe if he smelt better, maybe if he wore better clothes, maybe if he just tried to take care of himself. It was no surprise that he wasn’t getting chicks. But then again, he didn’t look too confident in anything. Yet alone girls.
That’s when you had came up with a plan. You’d sleep with him. Don’t get it wrong, you had dignity. If it was anyone else, you’d probably make fun of them even more, maybe even expose their perverted behavior.
But Shigaraki looked so helpless, if he kept up with this he’d never get better. Maybe he’d become desperate enough to start touching girls on the train to school, how disgusting.
You were doing everyone a favor. This is just charity work.
“Hey.” Shigaraki jumped, what? He was even more confused then before, you? Why would you send him a letter to meet him alone after school? He stayed quiet, he backed into a desk as he heard the click of the door. Locked, shit, you locked the door. You probably were gonna beat him up, usually you’d have other people pick on him, was today finally the day you’d take more action?
“Stop sweating, I’m not here to do anything bad.” You walked in front of him, Shigaraki would be lying if he said he wasn’t terrified. “Um — why.. why did you want to meet me?” Shigaraki’s voice cracked and you almost laughed, has he ever even been alone in the same room as girl?
You decided to be blunt, there was no sugar coating what was about to happen. “You’re a virgin right, Shigaraki?” You brought your hands to the buttons of your shirt, slowly unbuttoning your top.
Shigaraki immediately felt himself starting to get hard at the sight of your bra. “What—” You rolled your eyes, doesn’t he get it? How dense can he be? “Just answer me.”
Shigaraki felt so humiliated, this was honestly worse then all the bullying he experienced from you. He has to admit to his bully that he’s a virgin, or better yet, that he’s never even gotten close touching a woman.
He couldn’t lie, I mean look at him! The most action he’s gotten was those JOI videos he’d watch late at night. “Yeah..” He whispered enough for you to hear, just incase anyone else was hiding in the room. “..Why?”
A smirk spread across your face, just like you thought. His red face was honestly so enjoyable to see, almost just as enjoyable as seeing him try to hide how hard he was.
“I know you’re hard, Shigaraki.” Your hands moved to his crotch, palming him. “Ah, ah! Wait! I’m—“ Holy shit, did he cum? Just from a bit of palming?
Your hands retracted from the damp fabric, “God, how pathetic can you be?” Shigaraki lowered his head, you didn’t want to know. You’re the first girl to ever touch him, he didn’t want to come that fast!
“I’m sorry! Please.. I’m still hard!” Now he’s begging? He was ready for you to laugh at him and leave him a gross mess. He would understand.
“Take it out.” Shigaraki could cry right there, you were serious! He didn’t know what made you want to do this now but he didn’t care. All that matter’s was you wanted to fuck him.
His mind flooded to what you guys could do, would you rub his now exposed dick? Would you take it in your mouth? Better yet, what could he do to you? He’ll learn quickly, he just wants to touch your boobs!
Suddenly, he was on the floor. He couldn’t even process what was going on before you straddled him. We’re skipping straight to it? This wasn’t necessarily what he saw in those porn videos but that’s okay. His hands moved to your chest, he saw this in the porn videos too! But your hand slapped his away, “Don’t touch me. You still stink.”
He frowned but it was quickly gone as he felt you lower yourself on him. Shit, shit, shit, he’s inside you! Inside a pussy! You already started moving and Shigaraki already lost it. This was better than what he could ever imagine!
You smirked at the scene, its barely been a minute and he’s out of it. His eyes were rolled back and he was moaning louder than you! You had to admit though, you were a bit surprised he even got past 30 seconds of being inside of you.
“Mhmm— m...mommy!” Now you could laugh, “Mommy? Really Shigaraki?” Tears were forming on the corner of his eyes, you weren’t sure if it was from your words or the pleasure but you preferred if it was from both.
“I’m sorry! It’s just— ah!” You angled yourself to hit deeper, “No, no, Shigaraki. Go ahead. I should’ve known you’d be into something like that.” His moans filled the room, you were lucky this hallway was always empty after school was done.
You felt him begin to twitch, already knowing he’s about to cum. Eyes narrowed down at his messy face, he’s trying to cum inside you without you knowing?
You stopped moving and brought him up so he wasn’t laying down anymore, “Y’know, for a virgin I’m a bit impressed.” Shigaraki whimpered when he felt you get off of him, the feeling of your warm cunt no longer around him.
“Wait! Please, please— I wasn’t done!” He whined watching you put your panties back on and button your shirt back up, “You were about to. You think I want your battery acid cum touching me?”
Snickering as he heard his desperate whimpers begging you to finish him off, an overwhelming feeling of power filled you. A fake annoyed sigh caught his attention, “Take a shower tomorrow. Also wear a different top for god’s sake. If you do— “You brought yourself to his level on the floor, “I might let you touch me.”
Shigaraki nodded furiously, “Yes! I promise! I will, I will!” You turned and unlocked to the door to leave, catching one more look at his messy state. A sigh was let out of you as you closed the door, the sounds of him moaning ‘mommy’s pussy’ as he finished himself off, made you giggle. How sad.
You rolled your eyes, clicking heels down the hallway. You might’ve just created a new problem for yourself.

omg if you're taking prompt suggestions may I offer: anne and sasha throwing a surprise bday party for marcy, including them baking her a cake and everything
sorry this is late shkadhk i just got hit w the motivation to do this now so!!! hope u enjoy <3 sorry for any mistakes i didn't properly edit this
"uh," anne's voice echoed through sasha's (usually pristine) kitchen. "you've been banned from the kitchen, waybright. go and keep look out like you're supposed to be doing," anne said, looking up from her ipad with a playful scowl on her face.
sasha heaved a dramatic sigh and slumped into one of the, very expensive, dining chairs. "annie, i love you more than you could ever know, but i can not sit out there on lookout anymore or i might actually go insane." okay, maybe she was being a bit dramatic, but in her defense, anne had given her the job of 'marcy lookout' almost three hours ago and she hadn't moved off the chair by the window in all that time.
"you were in the army for years but can't stand lookout for your own girlfriend?" anne chuckled, her nose wrinkling when she measured out some more flour.
"that's different," sasha muttered, propping her head up with her chin. "i didn't really have a choice about the army." anne only hummed in response, most likely having zoned her out.
she usually did that when she was baking, it was one of the only things she could truly focus on after amphibia. sasha understood that, though she found her release in painting instead (mainly because no one actually trusted her within ten feet of the oven), after spending so long having to be alert constantly, the three of them had struggled with actually relaxing once they came back for good.
painting had never been one of sasha's talents before amphibia, in fact it had been her worst class at a point, so no one seemed to understand where the sudden interest in it came from. sasha liked to think it was because she found throwing colours at a canvas fun and a better way to take her frustration out than keeping it bottled up. what had started as just throwing something at a blank page and hoping for the best, quickly turned into sasha's favourite hobby. that's why she'd been tucked away in the spare-room-turned-art-studio for the past week, trying to paint something perfect for marcy's birthday.
after much trial and error, she'd finally decided to do a landscape painting of the night sky in amphibia. stargazing had always been one of marcy's favourite things and her interest in the topic had only increased tenfold when they arrived in amphibia, a land with little to no light pollution. during their limited time together, marcy had talked sasha's ear off about the stars, how different they were to earth, how many new constellations and stories there were to learn, how much more interesting it all was. sasha hadn't realised she'd been taking in the information at the time, but standing in front of the canvas, it all came back to her, as clear as day, and she spent almost a whole week finding every picture the three of them had and trying to replicate the view of the night sky from marcy's favourite balcony as best she could.
she'd actually only finished it a few hours before, she'd hardly taken off her apron when the foor flew open and anne demanded she kept an eye out for marcy. sasha hardly even had a say in the matter as anne pulled her through her house and pushed her into her father's armchair that looked out onto the empty street, leaving with a thanks and a quick kiss.
sasha liked to think she'd done a good job, her eyes never left the road and she hardly moved an inch in the several hours she'd been sat there. in fact, she'd only gone against anne's request when her leg started cramping and she had to get up.
"you're an awful look out, you know that right?" anne's voice, now much closer than before, broke through sasha's train of thought.
blinking slowly, she saw anne sitting across from her at the table, a smile on her flour covered face. in fact, it seemed anne was totally covered in the stuff, her face and hair were covered in a fine layer of flour. it stuck to her eyelashes, more falling off each time she blinked. "did the flour explode or something?" sasha asked, opting to ignore anne's comment.
anne frowned and looked down at herself. "there may have been a... small accident," she said sheepishly, rubbing her hands on her blue apron. "but i cleaned it all up! you would never even know it happened."
"you didn't do a very good job at cleaning yourself up," sasha muttered with a fond smile. "here, let me get it," she said, leaning across the small table and gently rubbing her thumb across anne's cheek. it didn't do much in the way of getting rid of the flour, but it got rid of enough for anne's freckles to appear.
"why do i feel like that did literally nothing?" anne asked quietly.
"because it didn't," sasha replied, meeting anne's soft gaze. it felt like eighth grade all over again, the soft looks, the closeness, the butterflies in sasha's stomach that hadn't been there before, and before she knew it, they were leaning in. closer and closer until sasha could feel anne's breath on her cheeks, and then-
the front door slammed open. shit. "so much for lookout," anne hissed, though the slight smile on her face told sasha she wasn't really upset.
"hello?" marcy called. the sound of her crutches on the faux marble of sasha's lobby grew ever closer as marcy made her way through the house. "you guys in here? your mom told me you would be-"
anne flapped her hands for a moment, frantically glancing around as if marcy would miraculously not noticed the distinct smell of chocolate cake and the balloons set up in the living room. "go, keep her distracted," she said eventually, shoving sasha out of the kitchen.
"what? why me?" sasha whispered, turning to the door being slammed in her face.
"sasha!" marcy cried, a bright grin gracing her features when she rounded the corner.
"mars!" she responded, her own smile on her face as she ran up to marcy and picked her up.
"i missed you today," marcy hummed, wrapping her arms around sasha's neck. "bothering lady olivia was no fun without you."
"missed you too, marbles," sasha smiled, quickly kissing marcy's cheek.
"well duh, i'm your girlfriend, it's your legal obligation to miss me," marcy giggled then looked around. "now, where's my cake? i'm starving."
"what?" anne's muffled shout was quickly followed by loud cackles.
---
an hour, and a lot of cake, later, sasha had left marcy and anne in the living room to go and get her present. she wasn't so sure why she was so nervous, it was for marcy, she would love it sasha was certain of that. but even the reassurances couldn't calm sasha's pounding heart as she gently carried the painting back to her girlfriends.
"ooh, what you got there?" marcy asked as soon as sasha entered.
"it's um," sasha swallowed, glancing from the painting back to marcy. "it's your present. from me," she added awkwardly, her grip tightening on the canvas as she watched marcy's face. "it isn't much, and it probably isn't really what you wanted, but i know you like the stars and i wanted to capture them for you-"
"sasha," marcy interrupted, her eyes wide and bright, "i don't care if it isn't what you think i wanted. if it's from you, i know i'm gonna love it." then she clapped her hands and wiggled in her seat. "now lemme see!"
sucking in a final breath, sasha turned the painting around. her eyes didn't leave marcy's face for a second as she took in the painting. she wasn't sure what emotions crossed marcy's face, but she could see the tears welling in her eyes. "oh, i love it so much," she whispered hoarsely.
sasha could only watch as marcy got out of her seat and ran into sasha's arms. "it's so beautiful, sasha," she said in between peppering wet kisses all over sasha's face. "it's perfect, thank you, saturn," marcy mumbled, pressing her forehead to sasha's.
"it's no problem, mars, seriously."

Teacher!Aizawa x Student!Reader -Feathery mess/NSFW/-
warnings: teacher/student relationship(the student is of legal age).
quirk: angel wings
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
You've been squirming in your seat like crazy for the past 30 minutes, your thighs rubbing together as you watched the man lazily write stuff on the board, his sleeves raised up to his shoulders and his hair tied in a messy bun.
You've been eying the man for years, always too afraid to step up or say anything (for obvious reasons), and even now as you're nearing the end of your education, there's this annoying feeling in your tummy that's making you all giddy and impatient.
It's the last class of the day, all of the students tired and just wanting to go back to their dorms while you're here, dreaming about being stuffed by the black-haired man's cock.
Your wings puffed in your seat as you chewed on your pencil.
You didn't exactly care about anything he was saying, the only thought as you looked at his moving mouth was the fantasy of it lapping at your cunt.
Such sinful thoughts shouldn't cloud the mind of someone so seemingly innocent and pure.
Your feathers ruffled up as you placed your head in your arms, alerting some of the students and obviously motivating Bakugou to ~quietly~ shout you out.
You paid no mind, still staring at the man in a haze...He must've felt something...
He was always so gentle and caring, offering to rub and clean your feathers on countless occasions after training, always checking up on you or coming to your table if you needed help with anything.
While he might've done that to everybody, you felt like he had a particular fondness of you. Maybe it was just your imagination...
Your wings fluffed back down, slumping against your back as they curled around your tiny form.
You spent your years in this school pinning for someone you might never have, instead of going out to parties and meeting new people. And the biggest problem was, you weren't only painfully attracted to him, but you also caught yourself falling in love with the man.
Maybe if you were a bit older? What if he already had someone and it was impossible from the start? You didn't want to know...it would crush you completely.
The bell seemed to have rung a few moments ago, all of the students already having their bags packed and on their back, leaving through the door one by one.
You stuffed your notebook in messily, crumbling it as you pulled the zipper. You stared at the floor as you made your way in-between desks, just wanting to take a long warm bath and cry.
"Y/N, everything alright?" your eyes darted to the voice, your mouth suddenly drying up as you just gave a weak nod.
Before stepping anywhere further, the door was pushed closed in front of you, the tall man hovering over you as he looked at you with warm eyes.
"You know you can talk to me, I want to help..." he trailed off, reaching for your hand as you hopelessly gave it to him.
He sat you down on his chair, him leaning against the table.
"I'm sorry Mr. Aizawa...I don't think there's anything you can do to help me in this situation."
Your wings felt heavy on your back, actually, your own bones felt heavy too.
He reached out to pet your head comfortingly, noticing the way your cheeks flushed and your feathers straightened.
"Can you look at me real quick, please" you raised your head a bit, looking at the man with scared eyes.
Your wings betraying you as they gave a small twitch.
"Y/N, please correct me if I'm wrong because I don't want to make you uncomfortable in any way" you nodded, waiting for him to go on.
"Is it a crush problem?" you nodded again, eyes falling down to your lap.
"Is that person in our class?" he questioned, his shoulders stiff.
"Theoretically..." you mumble, your form shaking a bit as you took in a deep breath.
"And theoretically...I personally...am actually capable of helping you out?" you clutched at the chair for a second before trying to will your legs to move and get you out of here.
His fingers hooked your chin up gently, your teary eyes closing and squinting shut.
"So you literally gave yourself a heartache for nothing angel" he mumbled softly, pulling you up in front of his face.
"Can I kiss you sweetheart?" you stared at him in shock, brainstorming through what's about to happen, your heart skipping beats as his breath ghosted over your lips.
"Pleasee" your needy voice filled his ear before he smashed your lips together, his arms snaking around your back and under your wings, pulling your body flush against his, holding you tightly as he deepened the kiss.
Your wings fluffed back, full and strong, flexing as they tried to look pretty and inviting.
He chuckled into the kiss, dragging his dull nails across the junction of your wings, kneading at the soft feathers.
You hummed in his mouth, pressing harder against him as you tangled your hand through his hair.
Once the two of you stopped to breathe, you were pushed onto the desk, your legs spreading to let him come back closer.
"It's my turn to lock all of the doors on this floor, no one will come here" he mumbled, gently kissing at your neck.
"Please...don't make me wait...I'll beg if I have to" you whined, fisting the fabric of his thin shirt.
"No need sweetheart, we'll have time to take things slow some other occasion." his long fingers slipped beneath your skirt, rubbing over your panties as he felt the soaked patch of cotton.
"Dirty little feather...were you thinking about me during class today? Do you even know what the subject was?" he grinned, pushing the fabric aside as he slipped a finger into your heat.
"I...maybe?" you whispered tilting your head back as he pumped the digit carefully, working you open before slipping in another one.
His lips swallowed up your moans, his free hand creeping under your shirt and rubbing at your flush skin. His fingers curled up, pushing snuggly against your spots making you gasp into his mouth.
"I'm gonna make you feel so full angel, is that what you want? For me to take good care of you?"
Your hands reached for his pants, hurriedly unbuckling his belt and undoing his zipper, slipping both his pants and boxers down.
Your wings shook a bit, your mouth watering at the sight of his cock. It looked painfully hard and heavy, twitching each time you clenched around his fingers, his tip oozing out pearly liquid.
You still couldn't fully believe everything, but the fact that he was willing to risk his job for you had to count for something.
"Hey princess, you think you could take it now?"
His forehead pressed against yours, breathing in deeply as he pushed another finger in.
"Fuck...Please, I'll go mad if you don't" you cried out, tugging at his cock as you slicked it up with his precum.
He groaned, his flush tip now rubbing over your clit and your puffy lips, hissing once he began to sink you down on his length.
You gasped at the feeling of being so stretched out, the countless times you had you pussy full with your toys couldn't compare to this.
Both of his hands found purchase on your hips, slowly guiding you against his cock, slipping out and sinking back in, his small groans coming out after each thrust.
You clung to his broad shoulders, keeping yourself steady as his pace picked up, the filthy sound of his dick plowing in and out of your soppy cunt filling the classroom.
"I'm gonna take you to my house after this princess, make you cum again and again, make you all nice and cozy and abuse your little hole...you kept me waiting for so long, kept this dirty little pussy all to yourself." His voice always sent shocks of pleasure through your cunt, the raspy hum his words held always making your thighs clench together.
"Oh baby you're just swallowing it all up, such a greedy little student I have...oh...look at you...you're gonna cum on my cock? I can see you shaking princess" your hand reached for your puffy clit, flicking it with the tips of your fingers in a hurry.
Your wings were violently flapping everywhere, sprawling around before wrapping around Aizawa as you came with a soft cry, clenching down on his length as he continues to push past your spasming walls, pounding you through your high as he struggled not to cum. You were gushing around his shaft, creaming over his cock and ruining his desk.
Once he couldn't hold out any longer, he pulled out, giving a few rough pumps with his fist, warm waves hitting your skin and coating your clit, dripping past your folds and sliding past your hole, your wings holding onto him tightly.
He rubbed his seed in possessively, gliding his cock along your sex before pulling your panties back in place, finally calming himself down.
He holds you by your hips for a while, kissing at your clothed shoulder and whispering praises into your ear, talking about wanting you for so long, dreaming about you, touching himself at the thought of you, praying to everything out there for a chance to hold you like this.
"Hey...didn't you say something about locking doors?" you mumbled tiredly, nuzzling your head against his cheek.
"Yeah maybe in a minute" he muttered out, kissing your forehead gently.
Thank your quirk for making you so obvious. Or maybe it was his devotion to you that made it easy for him to read you so well...

The Tiny Fox Thief
Warnings: This story contains soft, safe, vore. Scott catches Fundy trying to steal his stuff for the 100th time and decides to punish him to deter him from doing it again.
I promise I didn’t stop wanting to write these, I originally wrote this like two months ago but works been rough recently and killing my motivation and time to write, but hey at least I got this out in time for Origins to come back? I’m hoping the next one won’t take as long but I can’t make any promises. Despite the long wait I hope you enjoy!
A tiny fox man was rummaging through his things.
Again.
Scott had causally walked into his house to get some payment for Ranboo and Tubbo for a trade they were doing for his new build, and he was greeted with a familiar sight.
He opened one of his chests to grab some gold and out of the corner of his eye he spotted a tiny ball of orange fluff hiding behind a diamond that was suspiciously not with the other diamonds.
Scott rolled his eyes, he grabbed the gold he needed and safely stored it away from the greedy fox before plucking Fundy up from behind the diamond.
Said fox yelped a little at being caught and now being so close to the giant.
Scott shifted his grip so Fundy was gently held in his hands instead of dangling by the fingers. Even if he was a little thief Scott didn't want to hurt his friend.
Scott raised an eyebrow at him." This is the fifth time this month Fundy, don't you ever get tired of gong through people's things?" He questioned flatly.
Fundy gave Scott a sheepish look." Uh, heyyy, Scott...I uhh, don't know what you're talking about, I was just looking at your pretty gems, they're uhh, very shiny from down here, you know?" His eyes darted around, trying not to make eye contact with the agitated giant.
Scott didn't seem convinced.
"You know, you'd have your own shiny diamonds to look at if you went and got them yourself instead of stealing from other people." He deadpanned.
"Pshh, what's the fun in that?" A look of fear crossed his face as he realized his mistake." Uhh, not that I was stealing, cause, uh, heh I was totally not doing that, I promise haha." His ears flattened against the back of his head as he grinned nervously.
" What am I gonna do with you? You know I could blow you to smithereens right?" Scott shook his head. He was obviously joking, but a little intimidation never hurt anybody.
"Ahah, but you'd never do that right?" In the back of his mind he knew Scott wouldn't do that, but Fundy did shrink a little further into Scott's hand nonetheless.
"Hmm, maybe I should, teach you a lesson to quit stealin' from everyone." Scott threatened.
At first it was an empty threat, but a small rumble from his stomach gave him a different idea.
It wasn't uncommon for someone to go missing for a little while due to being tucked away in a persons belly. Most of the giants in this server had the ability to protect their prey and keep them safe for as long as they wanted, and for the ones who didn't have those powers there were potions that could easily help keep prey safe as well.
That's why Fundy knew as soon as he heard that growl, with the look that crossed Scott's face, that it was time to bolt. He immediately panicked and started trying to squirm out of the hand he was trapped in.
"I think I know a good place I can put you for tonight, maybe it'll teach you a lesson." Scott himself had never eaten anyone before, but he knew he had a control over his own digestive system, so he wouldn't actually hurt Fundy.
"P-please, Scott! I-I promise I won't steal again, I've changed, I've mended my ways and all that!" He stuttered frantically.
Now, Fundy has spent a fair few nights in the belly of one of his friends, especially after he'd been caught stealing from them, but just because he knew it was safe didn't mean he liked it. It was just so humiliating.
And I mean do you know how long it takes to get saliva out of fur?
In a stroke of luck, Fundy managed to squirm out of Scott's grip and he leapt off of Scott's hand onto the floor.
Fundy was speedier than the average tiny, fast enough to almost make it to the little hole the tinies used to get into Scott's house.
Key word there is almost.
Right as he got to the entrance, as the scent of the outside hit his muzzle...he was swept right back up into Scott's hands.
He whined as Scott's grinning face looked down at him." So close, yet so far Fundy." He petted Fundy's head with his thumb." I promise it's just for tonight, it'll be a good nights sleep and I'll let you out in the morning." Scott tried to reassure.
It was quite warm inside, it was soft and it was easy to fall asleep knowing he was safe.
Fundy huffed. That didn't mean he liked it! It was slimy and gross, it was so loud, and being eaten was so just embarrassing, and don't even get started on the trip down! No, he most certainly did not want to get eaten.
Scott kept a firm grip on him as he lifted Fundy above his head. Fundy yelped as Scott opened his mouth and unceremoniously dropped him in.
To Fundy this was a familiar hell. To Scott this was an unfamiliar heaven.
He hummed as he felt squirming around. Fundy battered his tiny paws at his teeth, trying to get him to open his mouth.
Scott didn't relent and instead started licking the little fox. He had a very salty taste that made his mouth water.
After Scott figured Fundy had been covered in enough saliva, he tilted his head back so Fundy knew what was coming. It was strange to feel Fundy physically tense, and after a couple seconds he swallowed him down.
Fundy yelped as he was shoved into the dark tunnel.
This was always his least favorite part. Not that he liked any of it, mind you. But this always left him dizzy and disoriented and feeling a bit sick.
He squirmed at the painful crushing that slowly pulled him down. He could tell Scott had never eaten someone before, it was much more painful than usual.
After a few more swallows his feet were pressed against something, he whined as he was squeezed through something much tighter and then unceremoniously dropped into a shallow pool of liquid.
Tired as the decent down left him, Fundy didn't hesitate to scramble up and start battering at the walls. He didn't want to actually hurt Scott, but he was still upset, it was so disgusting and humiliating. Why did they always do this to him?
Scott stumbled a bit, leaning against the chest at the unexpected assault on his stomach.
He didn't expect to be able to feel everything so strongly, and it felt kinda nice, despite the attack inside.
He hummed, pressing a hand to his stomach." You doing alright in there Fundy?" He inquired. He wanted to make sure he wasn't gonna actually hurt him.
"No, Scott, you just ate me!" He growled, trying to jump and climb up the slick walls to no avail." Please let me out, it's really gross in here!" He whined.
Scott chuckled, rubbing circles on his belly." Well I didn't exactly swallow you for your enjoyment, this is meant to be a punishment after all." He lowered his voice, tone more serious." Are you actually ok in there? I'm not hurting you, right?"
"...If I said yes would you let me out?"
"Fundy."
"Ok, ok, yeah I'm not dying or whatever." Fundy huffed, slumping against the wall with his arms over his chest.
"It's just for the night Fundy, I promise I'll let you out in the morning." He reassured.
Fundy remained grumpily silent, until Scott heard the thumping of footsteps and a figure appeared in the doorway.
"Scott?" Inquired the dark, imposing figure of Ranboo. The poor ender hybrid had to duck to see into the door.
Caught up in catching Fundy, Scott had forgotten his original goal when coming in here.
"Oh, I'm sorry Ranboo, I was trying to grab the gold for you guys and found a certain someone rummaging through my things again, so I had to deal with that." He quickly explained, sliding off the chest.
At the mention of Ranboo, Fundy scrambled up trying to claw at the walls again." Ranboo! Help me! I don't want to stay in here please!" He cried.
Unfortunately for Fundy, Ranboo couldn't hear him from the inside, but from the slight glance to Scott's belly he seemed to be able to figure out what happened.
Regardless of whether he knew or not Ranboo only lightly chuckled." You'd think he'd get tired of stealing one day." He stepped into the house, shaking his head." Well, do you have our stuff?"
Scott did a little "Oh yeah!" jump before turning around to dig in his chests. Fundy was still fiercely trying to get Ranboo's attention, which Scott blithely ignored.
After a couple seconds Ranboo was in the possession of 3 stacks of Redstone, a couple gold blocks, and some obsidian, and Scott now owned several stacks of concrete that he couldn't be bothered to harvest himself for a new build he was working on.
After saying their goodbye's Ranboo wandered off to...wherever he and Tubbo wandered off to, and Scott was left alone with Fundy, who was now grumpily sulking against the stomach wall.
After shifting his spades of concrete into his chests Scott retired to his room, flopping backwards onto his bed, trying not to jostle Fundy around too much.
He curled up around his middle, wrapping his arms around his stomach and allowing himself to revel in the sensation of Fundy being in there. Fundy wasn't moving much anymore but Scott could feel his weight, like a warm stone sat in the center of his belly. If he concentrated enough he could even feel the fox's soft breathing.
As much as Scott wanted to punish Fundy he did still feel bad for trapping him all night." You gonna be alright in there?" He softly asked.
Fundy huffed tiredly. It wasn't...that bad. It could actually be quite calming if he had wanted this to happen. It was much warmer than his cave and softer than the bed he slept on. The deep sounds of Scott's lungs and organs working around him did much better to soothe him than the dead silence he slept in at home. It wasn't really that bad in here if you ignored the disgusting amounts of slime...it's just that he hated feeling like food. And he knew nobody on the server felt like that towards him, but it didn't stop his brain from thinking about it that way.
He curled up tighter in a ball." I don't like being food for you guys." He mumbled, Scott could barely even hear the fox.
Scott pressed a hand to his belly, surprised at the sudden vulnerability. He didn't know Fundy felt that way about being eaten. Scott had assumed it was a fun game to him like it was everyone else." Fundy...none of us think like that about you, any of you, we like to have fun and mess with you guys but I-none of us- would ever think of you as food." He reassured. He'd never taken much consideration into how tinies really felt about being eaten, since people like Tubbo, Tommy, and Niki seemed to enjoy it (most of the time) and with the knowledge that it was safe, he didn't consider how negative it could be for some tinies.
He rubbed circles into his belly, feeling regretful." Do you actually want me to let you out? I don't want you to be in there if it upsets you."
Fundy sighed, licking at the few stray salty tears on his face."...No, there's no point when I'm already in here. And it isn't...that bad, I just...hate being reminded of where I am."
Scott chuckled lightly." Just think of it like a really weird waterbed, except with more slime." He offered.
Fundy snorted. It was like a waterbed of sorts, except it felt more like you were inside it than on top of it.
He laid his head down on his arms, closing his eyes. He didn't fall asleep immediately, but Scott's words soothed his nerves enough to where he found the stomach much less distressing than it had previously been. With Scott gently rubbing him and the sound of his heartbeat filling his ears and drowning out his thoughts, Fundy drifted to sleep.
Scott wasn't tired just yet. Being a Starborne, he much preferred being out at night and as such he was mostly nocturnal. He didn't mind staying awake anyway. He didn't know the next time he would be able to do something like this and wanted to enjoy himself as much as possible.
For now, Scott was content to just settle down and comfort Fundy. He'd had a rough couple hours thanks to him so he wanted to make him feel better as much as possible. He hadn't eaten tonight, but Fundy filled his belly enough where he didn't need to, a nice comfortable weight to keep the hunger at bay. He softly rubbed circles into his belly around Fundy, who seemed to slowly be drifting off. He was happy to lay like that for another few hours, enjoying the feeling of Fundy inside, as close and safe to him as a friend could be.

IN LIFE, IN DEATH...
PART THREE
Part One, Part Two
Warnings: just some swearing
May 1995
“We’re totally gonna get a record deal!”
Luke said for the tenth time in the past hour as he bounced in his seat.
It was Friday night and normally, you would all be messing around at the park, the beach, or just watching a movie in the studio. But when your phone rang and it was the booking manager for the Orpheum telling you that Sunset Curve is officially the new opener next month, the boys insisted on being there the second your shift at the diner was over.
So instead of arguing about having another Star Wars marathon or playing at the pier, you were all packed in your regular booth at Cece’s for celebratory milkshakes. You sat on the very edge of the booth, practically falling asleep on Alex. Ever since you got the call that morning, every cell in your body felt supercharged with excitement.
But now that the day was coming to an end, you could hardly stay awake enough to pay attention to the conversation.
Bobby, who was in your usual spot, pinched Luke’s arm. “Don’t jinx it, dude.”
“It’s not jinxing if you know for sure.” Luke said. “I mean, we’re awesome! And we’ve worked so hard to get to this point. It’s all gonna pay off.”
As much as you wanted to believe him, you were still nervous. There was nothing you were prouder of than your music, and you knew that a crowd that big would be good for gaining a lot of new fans. But the idea of that many people seeing you perform and hearing your lyrics was nerve-wracking.
You could tell the others felt the same way. Bobby was biting his nails, Alex was bouncing his leg so hard it almost hit the table and Reggie was slumped against the wall. Luke just stared at all of you, his bright smile never fading.
He snapped his fingers so loud that you jumped at the noise, then he started digging in his pockets. “I know what’ll cheer you guys up.”
Luke pulled out a safety pin, then brought its point down into the table, his tongue poking out of the side of his mouth in concentration. After a few minutes, he brushed off the table and presented his design proudly. It was four words in huge slanted letters.
‘SUNSET CURVE WAS HERE’
“Seriously, Luke?” Alex said, his eyes wide. “Cece’s gonna kill you!”
Luke just smirked and handed him the pin, gesturing to the space under the words. “‘C’mon, man. You’re up first.”
It took a lot of convincing, but Alex eventually gave in, and one by one, you all signed your names.
‘Alex,
Bobby
Reggie
Luke
(Y/N)’
You heard the sound of Cece’s heels hitting the floor as she exited the kitchen. Panicking, you shoved the pin in your pocket just in time as she came up to the table.
Before she could even see that anything was different, Reggie pointed at Luke.
“He did it!”
Cece frowned before inspecting the table, letting out a deep sigh and putting her hands on her hips.
“Are you vandalizing my diner, Patterson?”
Luke paled. “It was a group effort.”
“But it was your idea,” Alex said with a smirk, no doubt trying to pin the blame on Luke to keep his spot as Cece’s favorite. You had to bury your head into his shoulder to contain your laughter.
You could tell from the way that she was struggling to keep a straight face that Cece wasn’t actually mad but you weren’t gonna tell Luke that. He tried to kick Alex’s leg under the table but he hit yours instead. You hissed in pain and Luke paled even further.
“Shit, sorry, (Y/n).”
“And abusing my staff?” Cece joked, shaking her head.
Luke flashed her a charming smile as he rubbed the back of his neck. “Sorry, Cece. Just got a little excited.”
“I can see that.” She laughed then turned to you. “Hey. Get up. I got you something.”
You looked up at her in confusion but she didn’t offer you any answer as you dragged yourself up. Cece pulled a small blue box out from behind her back and handed it to you. “What’s the occasion?”
Cece rolled her eyes. “Just open it.”
The first thing you saw was a folded piece of paper with your name on it, under it was a silver key. You picked it up and held it in between your fingers as you carefully unfolded the paper to see three words in Cece’s careful handwriting.
just in case
You looked up at her, eyebrows knitted together. “Cece?”
She just winked as she put her hand on your cheek. “Honey, you know that I couldn’t have more faith in you and your rockstar dreams. But just in case things don’t work out...well, I couldn’t imagine giving this place to anyone else.”
You flew into her arms and hugged her so tight it was a little painful. Of course, all you wanted was for Sunset Curve to get signed to a label and take over the world. But this place was like home to you and the idea of owning it some day made your heart swell. “Thank you!”
The booth erupted in cheers and Cece playfully glared at them as she tucked you under her arm. “But you have to promise you’ll keep these boys of yours from doing any more damage to the property.”
Bobby scoffed. “Hey, we’re not-”
You slapped your hand over his mouth before nodding at Cece. “I’ll try my best.”
The bell on the door jingled to announce the arrival of another customer, and Cece left to greet them. You twirled the key around in your hand and looked at the boys' smiling faces, unable to hide your own.
As you settled back in the booth and took a sip of your milkshake, you couldn’t help but feel like everything was coming together.
2020
L.A was somehow so different, yet exactly the way you remembered.
The way the bright lights flooded the streets, to the way that every surface you see was decorated with a piece of art, made you anxious to re-explore the city you loved so much.
You couldn’t help but stare through your swinging legs at the crowds walking around below, listening to the soft buzzing of the Orpheum’s sign above your head.
An hour ago when Luke had suggested walking around the city, you figured you would end up here eventually. But now that you were actually here, you couldn’t help the hollow feeling that settled in your stomach.
It must’ve shown on your face because Luke launched into one of his motivational speeches. “C’mon, guys. I know being dead wasn’t our first choice. But you gotta admit, it is easier to get around.”
Reggie pouted. “Easy for you maybe. I lost my shirt on that one.”
You hadn’t even noticed that he was shirtless until it reappeared in a flash and he sighed in relief.
“So, why did you bring us here?” Alex asked Luke. “Just another painful reminder of where we never got to play?”
You smiled sarcastically. “Yeah, thanks, Luke.”
Luke rolled his eyes. “Because, we’re not done yet!”
He slung his arm around Alex’s shoulder, and gripped yours as he poofed you all down to the sidewalk, pulling away from you as fast as possible once your feet were back on the ground.
“I’m telling you.” Luke said. “We’ve been given a second chance. Let’s go see how many clubs we can hit before sunrise!”
He started walking down the street and Reggie was quick to follow, leaving you and Alex behind. As you watched them skip down the sidewalk, Alex let out a sharp ‘hey!’ and you whipped around to see him rubbing his shoulder.
A man in a long black suit stared straight into your eyes before tipping his hat to Alex and disappearing down the street. Every hair on your body stood on end as you stared at the spot where he was just standing.
“That was weird.” You said, turning to Alex. “You okay?”
He ran a hand through his hair. “Yeah, I’m good.”
You could hear Luke and Reggie’s excited shouting as they ran down the street, but you and Alex kept your distance. He reached his arm out to you and you took it automatically.
Over the last six months, Alex had become your best friend. You had always been close but last summer when things got bad with his parents, he turned to you.
And when things started to get weird between you and Luke or you had a fight with your mom, Alex was the only one you wanted to talk to.
“Alright.” Alex sighed. “Out with it.”
“Out with what?”
“I know you’re dying to talk about Luke.”
“I am not!”
Alex raised his eyebrows, clearly not convinced.
“Besides, there’s nothing to talk about.”
“Nothing-” He took in a sharp breath. “(Y/n), for someone so smart, you’re acting like a dumbass.”
You put a hand on your chest, dramatically gasping. “Alexander Mercer! I had no idea you were capable of using that kind of language.”
He flashed you his middle finger before unlocking his arm from yours and pulling you into his side. “Seriously though. What’s rolling around up there?”
You were quiet for a few minutes as you rested your head on his shoulder. “I just want to know what I did, you know?”
Alex nodded, but didn’t say anything, as he knew that you were just getting started.
“I mean, he’s always been there. He's always been my person. The one who I could count on for anything. Then that night in the studio, I thought…”
You trailed off and Alex held you a little tighter. Even though he wasn’t there, he could probably describe that night in exact detail from the amount of times you had told him about it. “I just miss him."
“Yeah, I know.” Alex said, his eyes glued to Luke’s back. “But, hey, you know that he loves you, and that didn’t change because of one night.”
He started to say something else but cut himself off as he saw Reggie and Luke approaching, both with big, goofy smiles. Reggie took your arm that wasn’t around Alex’s back and locked it in his.
“What are you guys talking about?” He asked.
“Nothing!” You said way too fast, cringing to yourself as you dragged Reggie down the sidewalk. “Come on, Reg. Let’s go see if that old comic book shop is still around.”
As the night wore on, you became more and more thankful that you weren’t able to get tired.
You spent the whole night sneaking into concert venues, clubs, and pretty much any place you wanted now that there was no chance of getting caught. It wasn’t until you passed a small street-side café that you let yourself think about the one place you hadn’t been yet.
Cece’s Diner.
When Julie told you it had been 25 years, you assumed that it had closed down. That Cece had moved away. Maybe even reconnected with her son and lived out her life. It seemed like such a perfect thought that you didn’t want to ruin it with reality.
But now that you had seen the way things had changed in the time you had been gone, you were now filled with a sense of urgency. You launched up the sidewalk until you were in front of the boys.
“Hey, guys?” You asked. They all stared at you curiously as a smile slowly spread across your face. “Anyone up for milkshakes?”
-
When you walked up to the diner - for only an instant - it was as if no time had passed. You felt the urge to run inside, throw your hair up in a ponytail, and make a beeline for the kitchen before you got in trouble for being late for your shift.
Only as you got closer, you realized how much had changed. The building, which had always been a little ordinary and worn like a well-loved home, now felt about twenty stories tall. You dragged yourself forward toward the door, unable to look away.
The boys lingered behind you, but no one said a word.
Your hand reached for the doorknob before you remembered that you wouldn’t actually be able to touch it.
I really gotta get used to that, you mumbled to yourself as you walked through the door.
It looked so different that you almost didn’t recognize it.
The bright blue paint had been replaced with brown on every wall, bookshelves lined the corners of the room, and long leather couches had replaced the booths and tables. The old jukebox had disappeared, and some old jazz song was playing over speakers over your head.
“Can I help you?”
A voice asked from behind the counter. It was a boy that looked a little older than you, messy black hair and an uninterested smile. He dragged a blue pen across the margins of a book as he waited for your answer.
“You can see us?” Alex asked, to which the boy rolled his eyes.
“I’m talking to you, aren’t I?” He said, raising his eyebrows when you all failed to answer either of his questions.
“My, my. Aren’t we chatty.”
“Who are you, exactly?” You said, trying to mask your annoyance with a smile.
“Teddy.” He said, pushing himself off the counter and making his way around until he stopped just a few feet ahead of you. “And you’re (Y/n).”
A shiver ran down your spine. “How do you know that?”
“You were a friend of my grandma’s.”
Before you could ask what the hell he meant by that, a man came walking out of the kitchen. He looked so much like Cece that it made your stomach flip. It was her son.
And as you looked back at Teddy, your mind slowly connected the dots. “You’re Cece’s grandson?”
He nodded.
“Okay, this is just too weird.” You said as you rubbed your temples. There was no way that this was actually happening, right? Maybe you somehow fell asleep and are having some weird ghost dream.
“Okay, well I definitely feel old.” Alex sighed.
Your head was spinning. “What is even happening right now.”
Teddy smiled. “Well, it’s too bad we’re dead or else I would buy you coffee and explain it to you.”
You internally cringed at his pick-up line but you couldn’t help but laugh a little. Normally, random guys flirting with you made you uncomfortable but behind his cocky attitude, he seemed like a genuine guy.
Maybe it was the way that he twirled his pen between his fingers the way that Cece used to, but something told you that there was more to him than meets the eye.
Before you could answer, Luke spoke up. “Well, it was nice meeting you. But we really should be getting back home.”
You could see that he was right as the pale light came in through the windows as the sky started to lighten.
But you couldn’t help but notice that this was the first time he had interjected in the conversation since you got there, and a small part of you wondered if that had anything to do with the way that Teddy was staring at you.
You shook those thoughts from your head, giving Teddy a soft smile.
“Maybe next time.”
Though you weren’t capable of getting cold, you still shivered a little as you walked through the door and back out onto the street. You could feel Luke’s eyes on the side of your face, flickering down to the sidewalk when he saw you looking.
You gave him a light nudge on the shoulder, and he gave you a soft smile that you couldn’t quite decipher the meaning behind.
That was pretty much all you got from Luke these days.
“So,” Luke said, his enthusiasm returning in full force as he threw his arms over Alex and Reggie’s shoulders. “I think it’s safe to say we’re officially back in business.”
-
The second that you landed in the studio, your jaw dropped.
Julie was sitting at the piano, her voice shaky but full of passion as she belted out the most beautiful song you’ve ever heard. Her fingers hit the keys expertly and you smiled.
You closed your eyes, listening to her voice echo through the room and getting lost in the warm feeling the lyrics filled you with. It wasn’t until she stopped singing and sniffled quietly that your heart dropped.
Both you and Alex surged forward to comfort her but Luke shook his head and swirled his finger, signaling to meet up outside. You wanted to protest. To stay and comfort your new friend.
But Julie sniffled again and you thought that maybe it would be a good idea to give her space. You made a mental note to talk to her later and poofed out of the garage.
