btw i absolutely adore this adaptation.. i was a bit wary because the more recent arwav was kind of shite sorry but i really think it connects so well with the heart of the message and what the book is trying to get across.. there were these little lines and snippets of dialogue that i thought oh god that's exactly what i would've left in that's so important, and esp the bits where they were getting across a characters inner monologue bc some of the MOSSTTT important takeaways and bits of info and plot are in those and sometimes book to film/series adaptations handle it soo badly but this was 👍👍 and the scene where they go to the hipster protein restaurant or whatever and margaret is like joking around and such with mr wilcox i really feel like a lesser adaptation might have left that out bc it's "filler" or whatever but it is like soo important to her character and yeah i just think it's a lovely adaptation and it doesn't spit on or dismiss the iconique merchant ivory version ehich i also love but i almost think this has more heart like it feels more like the characters are just real people hanging out and being their messy complicated selves and loving each other sooo soo much and i LOVE WHAT THEY DID WITH THE SCHLEGELS it feels so authentically siblingy like you would kill for each other without being asked but also fucking yell at each other at like every second its sooo full of love and genuine emotion and i really love it. and btw im only halfway through but still
