my real name is the name of a star.

so since i was little, my parents would arrange the little glow-in-the-dark stars above my bed, in the way that they would look when i looked up at the sky, and the one i was named after always right above my head, every time we moved, every time my room changed, the stars were always there, glowing when i turned my lights off to lay my head down.

and that star only comes out in the fall. the time when i feel the most alive, the time when i can breathe and feel free again. the time when the sun cradles me and the scent of the changing leaves tells me everything will be okay.

and when i have my children i will put glow-in-the-dark stars above their bed. and i will tell them that whenever they are scared, their mother watches over them from the star. wherever they are.

but you can only see her in the fall, because that is when she shines.

From left to right: Cielo (she/her), Angler (she/her), Ralzor (he/him), Le-Anna (she/her), Teresa (she/her), and Silver (he/they).

Ralzor is Cielo's adoptive father, and Cielo doesn't remember her life before the age of 13 (she's 18 when my story takes place.) So, her parents might still be out there, who knows ;) (they're good people)

Cielo is what's known as a Godly-One, basically, this ancient species gave up their forms to keep people from taking their power, and now people from any species are sometimes born with these powers. They'll be born with golden irises, and when they turn 18, the tips of their fingers/toes will turn gold. The gold will slowly move up their arms/legs stopping at their elbows/knees. The gold markings grow as they discover and harness their powers.

So, the story is basically all about Cielo learning about what she is, learning how to harness those abilities and use them to protect the people she loves.

Le-Anna and Teresa are wives and Silver is their robot child. Silver is one of the very few robots with sentience, and those two saved them from being scrapped. They really struggle with their identity a lot, but by the end of their character arch, they learn to love themselves.

Also, Ralzor and Angler fall in love with each other throughout the story. Ralzor and the other basically teach her was love and being treat with respect actually is, and she realizes the people she worked for had been manipulating her, giving her the strength to stand up against them.

Ralzor dies at the end :) sacrifices himself so Cielo can live. What does the gang meet after his death? Ralzor's older brother, who had left home to find him. Why did Ralzor run away from home? Oh you see, he's a Godly-One too.

Hard to find Godly-Ones. They aren't as super extremely rare as you think. It's just that some bitch named Adam has been using an organization(which Angler works for. It's a cult really.) To capture Godly-Ones and basically turn them into batteries, stealing their infinite power for himself. He's a bitch like that. He dies too :).

i’m trying really hard to get in the habit of telling people when something they do or say makes me feel overwhelmingly positive or happy... i really means a lot to me to be able to express a positive emotional response to another person without shame. i really want to be able to spread good and happy feelings to anyone whenever possible. i think it’s made me a lot more appreciative of others, and i think it’s a really good thing to try even just once to see how it makes you feel and how it makes others feel!!

tbh I don't wanna be a major bitch but like too much human interaction exhausts me so like by the end of the day, after participating in classes and having lunch with multiple people and having rehearsal in which I talk and emote for like four straight hours I need to recharge and I need to have time to myself so I cannot deal with casual chit chat or normal conversation because I'm emotionally and mentally exhausted from interacting people so yes I am also being very passive aggressive right now and I apologize @ my roommate but like idk I'm just tired and I need to study for a midterm and I need to think of something else for my cousin and I really really just need quiet, because i can't even focus on what you say when I'm this drained
