Somewhat related to the above, one of my favorite things about fandom is how we go absolutely hogwild over each and every frame (or sentence) of our favorite stories with a magnifying glass and pull out amazing, glorious, hilarious, heartbreaking, brilliant meta and theories and analysis.

Conversely, one of my least favorite things about fandom is how we go absolutely hogwild over each and every frame (or sentence) of our favorite stories with a magnifying glass and tease out plot threads and foreshadowing hints where none was actually intended, and then when canon inevitably does not return to deal with those threads (since they were not actually threads), decry it as Bad Writing and a Bad Story. And I think that's also extremely unfair.

Not everything is a clue (a Clue!), a hint, or foreshadowing. Just as often it's an in-joke, a continuity error, or just general Worldbuilding info for flavor. And like Ked said, we haven't hit the end of the story yet. We won't fully know which is which until we (*fingers and toes and everything crossed*) get season 3.

Hey! So I've been following you since you posted a lot about good omens in 2019ish? I remember you talking about wing fics vividly, but I just want to ask:

How are you doing after season 2?

Good! I enjoyed season 2, and I look forward to seeing how things resolve in season 3.

I think there are a lot of folks upset about various things, for various reasons, a lot of which boil down to "the season didn't go how I wanted it to/thought it should go" or "the season didn't end wrapped up neatly like S1 did." Neither of which, imo, are fair judgments of a season that a) isn't that person's story and b) was meant to be a bridge not an ending. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, of course, and to their feelings, but I do wonder how many have taken honest assessment of those feelings and opinions.

In my opinion, it's unfair to claim a story is bad JUST because it didn't do what you wanted it to do. It's not a bad story just because characters didn't act how you predicted or wanted, either. Some of the responses I've seen hinge almost entirely on "but canon didn't do what fanon/I decided is best" usually with the caveat of "before I even saw the season" and that's... ignoble at best. It's fair to criticize poor storytelling, but I feel like you have to have the whole story, or most of it, to do that, and we don't have that. We're actually smack in the middle of the story, by my judgment.

This season was never meant to be The Whole Story, we have known for a long time that there is a season 3 planned (whether or not it's ever able to come to fruition is a separate issue, it has been planned since a long time ago). As such, I don't think it's fair at all to the story to be angry that the season didn't stop at a nice, neat, happily-ever-after, because this isn't the end of the story.

To quote one of my favorite authors, Peter S. Beagle: "Things must happen when it is time for them to happen. Quests may not simply be abandoned; prophecies may not be left to rot like unpicked fruit; unicorns may go unrescued for a very long time, but not forever. The happy ending cannot come in the middle of the story."

I’m likely suffering from chronic Asriel and Noelle brain rot. I want goat boy to get a happy ending and love the Trans Noelle head-canon. Shipper of Suselle (Susie/Noelle) and Dessriel (Dess/Asriel). (Oh and of course Alphyne (Alphys/Undyne) but I'm not obsessed with the pair like Suselle and Dessriel. Alphyne's still cute though!) Ralsei's resemblance to Asriel makes Kralsei concerning, but for now (for now and only for now) it just barely gets a pass because we don't fully know what Ralsei is, but future reveals may push Kralsei shippers into the DNI category. Still not touching the ship due to Ralsei's concerning resemblance to Asriel. If its revealed Ralsei's the personification of Kris's familial love for their brother or something, and you still ship Kralsei do not interact. You won't be punished for shipping Kralsei before the reveal though; I'd just see you in a similar light to those who shipped Luke and Leia before ROTJ. Even in the best case scenario though the ship is going to feel weird to me though just because of the resemblance to Asriel. (Footnote 02)

18) Your boba/tea order?

Ohhhhh!!! Ok, so I LOVE Boba. There are a few Boba shops near my office, and it's a bit of a problem for me xD. But, there is one Boba Tea place that I really like, and I have a few favourites from there, including a Matcha Milk Tea with salted caramel, a Taro Milk Tea, and a green tea with citrus. Always with tapioca, and not super sweet. I had a Boba with pudding the other day, and it was effing delicious!

20) Favorite Disney princess movie?

Darling, I go by "Belle" on all my online platforms. Clearly it's Beauty and the Beast. I love this movie so flipping much. It means so much to me, as someone who was always labeled as "the weird girl with her nose in a book". The music is incredible, the animation is breathtaking, and the story is just... beautiful. Also... ALSO! Belle did not fall in love with her kidnapper, ok! She literally only falls in love with him AT THE END OF THE MOVIE! The spell does not break until she falls in love with The Beast. This happens AFTER they bond as friends, AFTER he lets her go back to her father, AFTER she comes back to him, and AFTER he gets stabbed. It is only as she is losing him where she realizes that she loves him and does not want to be without him... Thus breaking the spell.

27) What’s your favorite or go-to outfit?

Oooo! That depends on the weather! So in Spring/Autumn weather, I like wearing jeans, sneakers, a flannel top, a scarf, and a light denim jacket. For summer days, I love wearing sundresses with flats. Short-shorts with a flowy top and these new vans/keds shows I bought and really like :) I yearn for the day I don't feel guilty and buy myself a pair of Doc Martens.

I know Vlad has a stronger motive (since he already wants to replace Jack) and maybe Lancer doesn't want to be a parent even if he cares about Danny, but canonically Vlad massively f**ked things up when he had custody of Danny. So Let's Try Something Else Maybe XD

Mr. Lancer would be awesome. Or Aunt Alicia. Heck, the Box Ghost and the Lunch Lady would probably be better adoptive parents than Vlad Masters (sorry Vlad!).

That man is just as lonely as Vlad (he buys and giftwraps a present to himself just so he can open something on Christmas omg) and he's compassionate enough to give Danny special attention in class but isn't such a perfect adult he wouldn't learn how to be a better person by taking care of Danny.
