I like your OCs quite a bit. So here's a few questions for you. Go crazy.
🤝🗣️⭐️🛒🏠Gem 🤝🍱🍎🗡️🪄 Cintia
🤝🤫🥺🎮🏠Trixie
*The 🤝 emoji is mostly for elaboration, i'm aware they all have connections to canon characters. I'd like to hear more.
They might be too many, so pick and choose which ones you feel like answering!
Thank you very much for the ask! Don’t worry about sending too many, I’ll answer all of them!
For Gem:
🤝: Does your OC have any important connections to any canon characters?
Gem is Daroach’s ex-girlfriend/first love, and she was also good friends with Spinni and Storo. She viewed Doc as a father figure since he was always very kind and fatherly to her and her own father wasn’t a very good dad. Gem hasn’t seen any of the Squeaks since she and Daroach split up, but they may all be reuniting very soon… 👀
🗣️: If you could cast a voice actor to voice your OC who would you choose?
I would pick Sarah Stiles to voice her. I made a little OC voice headcanon video a while back where I used some clips of Sarah Stiles voicing Spinel from Steven Universe for Gem’s section, Gem’s homeworld is based off of New York City so I see her as having a little bit of a New York/Brooklyn accent like Spinel, and Gem performs as a singer when she’s not doing mob activities so I felt like it would make sense to pick a voice actress for her who’s also a singer.
⭐️: If your OC got their own spinoff game what would it be about and what would the gameplay be like?
Since Gem is a mobster, I could see it being a mafia-themed mystery visual novel type of thing.
🛒: If your OC owned a shop, what would they sell?
It’s not exactly a shop, but Gem does own a restaurant/club that’s a front for her mob activities. She performs there as a singer and sells really delicious Italian food lmao
🏠: Where does your OC live?
Gem lives on a planet called Muridia, which is the Squeaks’ homeworld in my AU. It’s based very heavily off of New York City. The name Muridia comes from Muridae/Murids, the family that mice and rats are members of. Since they’re all little mouse people I thought this would be a fitting name for their homeworld.
For Cintia:
🤝: Does your OC have any important connections to any canon characters?
Cindee is Meta Knight and Dedede’s daughter, and Kirby views her sort of like his little sister. After they saw Taranza and Susie with Clover, Meta Knight and Dedede decided that they wanted to have a child together as well, so they visited the aliens that cloned Clover and asked them to clone a child for them, and that’s how they got Cindee.
🍱: If your OC had a dish themed around them at the Kirby Cafe, what would it be?
I could see it being some sort of chocolate dessert or a fancy little drink. The dessert or drink could also maybe have a moon motif since Cindee’s signature symbol is a crescent moon. For a drink, maybe it could be something like a blueberry soda or blue butterfly pea flower bubble tea and it could have a crescent moon or bat wings as a garnish.
🍎: What are some foods that your OC enjoys eating?
I could see her really enjoying chocolatey desserts/enjoying sweets in general like Meta Knight.
🗡️: What is your OC’s weapon of choice?
Meta Knight is training her to use a sword and Dedede is training her to use a hammer. I could see her using both in combat, maybe she’d have a sword in one hand and a hammer in the other when fighting and she’d find a way to combine attacks using both weapons.
🪄: Does your OC use magic? If they do, how did they gain their magical abilities?
I actually haven’t thought about whether or not she can use magic. I forget if Dedede and Meta Knight are able to use any magical attacks, I’ll have to look into that/remind myself of what they can do and then get back to you. It would make sense for Cindee to inherit a little bit of magic if her parents can use it.
For Trixie:
🤝: Does your OC have any important connections to any canon characters?
Trixie is Susie’s mother and is Max’s ex-wife. After Susie disappeared Trixie and Max eventually divorced since they were dealing with their grief in different ways/were arguing more and finding it hard to support each other in their grief, and they eventually cut contact with each other after the divorce. When Susie eventually returned and reunited with her dad, she got the impression that her mother had died while she was gone, so she isn’t aware that her mother is still alive and Trixie isn’t aware that Susie is still alive. Not yet, at least… 👀
🤫: Does your OC have any secrets?
I wouldn’t say that they’re secrets, but there are a few things that have happened to Trixie/things that have gone on in her life following Susie’s disappearance that Susie isn’t yet aware of. I’d elaborate on this, but if I do it’ll spoil some of what I have planned for my AU.
🥺: What is your OC’s biggest regret?
Trixie’s biggest regret is not going in to work with Max and Susie on the day that Susie disappeared. Normally they would all go as a family and Susie would do her own thing while her parents were working, but on the day Susie disappeared Trixie was feeling sick and decided to stay home so Max and Susie went by themselves. Trixie regrets not being able to spend those last few moments with her daughter before her disappearance, and she wonders if she could have done something to prevent it from happening if she had been there.
🎮: What Kirby game or what point in the Kirby series timeline would your OC first appear?
She first appears after Star Allies but before Kirby Fighters 2. I can’t really elaborate on how Susie and the other characters encounter her because it’s a bit of a spoiler for what I have planned, but Trixie and Susie reunite at this point in the timeline.
🏠: Where does your OC live?
Trixie lives on her and Susie’s homeworld, M’Jael. I’ll elaborate on this some more when I get to the Susie redemption arc comic that I’m planning to start posting next year, because I plan to show their homeworld in it, but M’Jael is a planet that I’m basing heavily off of the USA. Speaking as an American myself, I figured that it would make sense for Trixie, Max, and Susie to be from a world that’s essentially the USA lmao, it would explain the capitalism and the colonizing of other people’s planets. M’Jael has several colony planets that some members of Susie’s species live on, but Trixie, Max, and Susie are from M’Jael itself and not one of its colonies. The name M’Jael is an anagram of Majel. I named the planet after the actress Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, she played several important characters in Star Trek and voiced most of the ship computers in various Star Trek shows, so I thought it’d be a nice homage to name a planet of alien-robot people after an actress who’s played an alien and a robot lmao, I’m a big Star Trek fan and I see a lot of parallels between Star Trek and Kirby, so I like slipping little Star Trek references into my Kirby stuff. It’s pretty easy to reference Star Trek in anything having to do with Susie because of Star Trek being set in the future/having a lot of futuristic technology.
#asks#ask games#Kirby OC#sorry I can’t say more for some of those asks for Trixie but if I did it’d spoil some of what I’m planning for my AU#thank you for all of these asks they were fun to answer!

may the odds (chrumblr whumblr day 8!)
(warning you before, this has suicide. be careful)
Venatrix blinked. She wasn’t in the box anymore, instead she was in a concrete tunnel, like the one she had run with Nia in. But she was alone.
“Hi! A challenge for you.”
Her hand drifted toward knives she didn’t have, snarling ”Where are the others?”
“Safe enough, don’t worry. But you can’t go back there till you get through my challenge!”
Gritting her teeth, she asks “And what is that?”
“This tunnel has the images of all the people you have killed, and will kill, in their last moments of life. Walk through the tunnel, and when you make it to the end, you will be let out.”
“That’s all?”
“That’s all!”
“Fine.” She started moving, waiting for the first images to show up. It took a while but-
Oh
Before her, stood a man with red hair, holding the hand of a woman as she knelt. Those were faces she hadn’t seen in years, now panicked. The man was saying something to the woman, and she looked calmer at it.
I didn’t kill them
“I DIDN’T KILL THEM”
It was silent. She knew what had happened, even if they had never found the bodies. But it wasn’t her fault. She had gone out with Nia to protect them both, if she hadn’t she’d be dead. But she didn’t kill them. The people after them did. She was 8, she couldn’t have killed them.
It was fine. The Voice was messing with her head, and if she stayed, she wouldn’t get back to Nia. Or the others.
She shook her head, and kept walking. There was the first guy she had killed. He threatened the bar, then Nia, and Trixi never thought she’d kill someone until that moment. But it was done. After that, everyone was a little nicer to her. The handle of a knife stood in the middle of his neck, it hadn’t been luck that landed it there.
More faces. The first guy she was paid to kill. Some traveler who didn’t listen when she cut him off, and tried to take another drink. Another paid job, and another. She had forgotten how many she had taken.
The first one Nia had bitten, looking as bad as she remembered. Face scratched open, as he had stumbled in, yelling at them. There was a shot in his forehead, he had gotten too close.
More faces. She remembered some of them. And then, the guard. The last guy she had killed, with a slit across his throat. His face looked weird though, slightly to the side of where it should be.
Now she looked closer at the next one. She didn’t recognize him, that was good. She memorized his face, knowing she had killed him for a reason. Another, and another. Noting each one, she continued. The images didn’t show up until she was right in front of them, but she could see the end of the tunnel. Honestly, it was shorter than she expected.
She was running now, noted a distinct feature before moving on. She was almost-
Venatrix froze. Before her mind even caught up to what she was seeing, she sobbed.
There, before her, at the end, she stood. Head tipped back, eyes horrified, three shots to the chest. Her auburn braids flying as she fell.
“No.”
“I’m sorry.” There was some sympathy to the voice. “But it’s true.”
Nia was in front of her, dying. By her hand.
“Would you like to see?”
“See what.”
“How it happened.”
Venatrix bit her tongue to keep from screaming. She didn’t do that.
“Yes.”
The world shifted, and she was standing on a beach. Nia didn’t look much older then she was now, helping her fight some pirates, Trixi thought.
She shot twice, getting someone off of her sister. Spinning and stabbing, dancing through the violence. Shots again, at another. Twist, throw a knife, grab another. It was all instinctual. She didn’t need to think about it, she just fought.
Strike, shoot. Reload your gun and twist away. Grin at Nia, who’s smiling while fighting, because of you. She’s having fun in this, because of you. Throw a knife, scare a pirate. Shift and shift and shift again, catch a sword. You were grinning too now, as you stabbed again. Shots and knives were your world, as you reloaded again. This is what you lived for, this is what you knew how to do. You almost cackled as someone ran away. They had done something to anger you, at the moment you couldn’t remember what. You turned and shot and-
There Nia was. Three bullet holes, from Trixi, in her chest.
She rushed forward, ignoring the stragglers, vision tunneling.
“Nia, Nia!”
She fell to her knees beside her, there was too much blood. Too much.
“NIA”
“Hi- Trixi.”
“Hi- hi- oh-”
“I’m ok- just give me a minute”
“Nia, nia,” she sobbed
“Someone shot me- it kinda hurts”
“I know honey, I’m sorry. You’re going to be ok, just rest, ok? We’ll get you patched up.”
Nia nodded, eyes already drifting shut.
“Yeah I know- I’ll- I’ll be ok- I’ve got you,” she laughed.
Even to the end.
Trixi nodded back. “You’ve got me. I’ll keep you safe.” She could see where the blood was seeping out from under her hands, into the sand.
She trusted her.
“Trixi- when….we get back ...remind me to get a…new sword. For you.”
She nods again. Her hands are covered, as her tears mix with what's pooling on her.
“I will. I’ll keep you safe. Just rest ok? You’ll be ok.”
“I will. Don’t worry- Trixi-”
Her eyes closed, again.
“Goodbye, rabbit.”
She broke their promise.
The blood stained her hands as she kneeled there, in the sand. The only blood that matters. She had one bullet left. Enough for one more life. Her hands were shaking as she picked up her gun, one last time. It was easy enough to cock it.
3 She had broken their promise.
2 She caused this.
1 She had blood on her hands.
bang
It was her blood too.

Opinion on drag queens? I can’t stand them tbh
im glad you asked tbh bc frankly i can’t really pinpoint my feelings entirely on them, its changed a lot over the years. when i was a 17-20 i was a HUGE drag race fan and i watched the show and posted on the subreddit, and this was when i first started exploring radical feminism so i wasnt unaware of the critiques going on about them here either. i guess back then i thought it was all in good fun. then a few years ago i lost interest in the show and like you i couldnt stand them anymore, i wrote them all off as overrated, sexist and tasteless caricatures of overblown femininity at best and actual degrading pornographic hateful stereotypes of women at worst (i considered then and now drag queens like trixie mattel, katya, detox icunt and raven to be the worst in this regard).
nowadays… im somewhere in the middle. while i dont know if i personally would go so far as to call it art (at least no more than i would consider the performance of femininity itself an ‘art’) i understand that it has its own history amongst gay men and i do think some of it has genuine merit as performance art - as in, some queens do put in the effort to make their own costumes, do their own choreography, etc. but on the other hand for that, if it is going to be evaluated as a performance art, then like other forms of art it should absolutely be held to the same standards of criticism, and shouldnt be shielded from that criticism just bc its an art created primarily by a marginalized group of gay men (or HST trans women). and thats where the very real feminist critiques on the misogyny in drag comes in, and it disgusts me that any concerns women have are written off as us being joykills or no better than conservative pukes or whatever. gay men are still capable of being misogynist towards women so it shouldnt be surprising at all that a good portion of drag queens are performing a sexist caricature of women (like the ones i mentioned above, those are considered to be the most famous and successful, go figure).
i think what really cemented this view in my mind was this clip that went viral awhile ago of this drag queen running around in a public space with this huge ridiculous floppy breastplate that was bouncing around… but then he ran into this group of children and he IMMEDIATELY cringed and covered himself. and it kinda just clicked for me for how weird some of this is, in a way that nobody but feminists were talking about. you have this grown man gleefully running around with this gross and porny and realistic looking piece of womens flesh worn over his body, because thats supposed to be funny and entertaining, and everyone takes it a face value and doesnt wonder what that says about how we view womens bodies?
i think the conservative backlash towards them in general is massively overblown, i dont think drag queens are in themselves inappropriate to be near children because feminine men are not inappropriate, altho i do think naked men or men wearing realistic breast plates or fetish gear ARE inappropriate to be around children, but thats just common sense lol, and yet both leftists and right wing morons fail to grasp this, that not all drag is child friendly, and similarly that some drag is misogynistic as well. (alot of them are mostly overrated as performers too…)
so yeah tldr i have mixed feelings towards them that can be best summed up as a passive annoyance or ambivalence. i agree that some of its very misogynistic and offensive, but that it varies from queen to queen. im sorry if this was meandering, im still trying to figure out my feelings towards them, and im hoping i can find some more feminist critiques on them to help me gather my thoughts towards them better lol

i think that the effect marty’s escapades (including the game) would have on people in his present wound be 1931 at the least, 1955, and then 1885 at the most. some of the reasoning might be a little headcannony?? idk i hope this makes sense
he did not have that huge of a public effect in 1931, like other than emmet, edna, and arthor (and trixie too ig) he didn’t really do much? he helped with the arrest of kid tannen but (as shown in the citizen brown timeline) didn’t get any credit, all the credit basically went to emmet and maybe edna. and arthor might’ve told his kid (george) about getting “recruited” for a government thing (and i feel like when george grew up a bit, he didn’t believe his father’s stories about getting recruited by the g men and so the story was never really passed down to his kids) but other than that i can’t imagine a huge impact or really that much of an impact at all, which i guess, good job marty for laying low
in 1955 he probably definitely had the biggest effect on his parents. they are definitely going to the remember that kinda weird kid that helped them get together, even more so when george (probably) tells lorraine about how marty has spent that entire week, only trying to get them together. calvin is definitely a huge part in often retellings of them falling in love (sorry marty lol). biff would’ve remembered calvin too and probably still holds a grudge against him for embarrassing him and the manure. other then them i think the rest of the kids would remember calvin too, maybe not by name or appearance or anything but by remembering the kid who played that weird song at the dance or the kid who bested biff that one time.
i like to think that after marty successfully left 1955, george and lorraine asked doc where calvin had gone like a month later and doc panics and says that he died. rip marty. ik that something similar to that happens in one of comics but i haven’t read those so they aren’t canon to me. doc ends up become a mcfly family friend and (lone pine) marty grows up around him. at some point (maybe during george and lorraines retellings) one of them mentions how a) calvins middle name was marty and inspired martys name and b) he was docs nephew but died shortly after that week which cues marty (probably around 15, 16 at this point) bursting into docs lab like “how come you never told me i was named after your dead nephew!!?!?!??” >:((
anyway, back to you regularly scheduled analysis:
last but not least, what happened in 1885 would’ve had the biggest effect. assuming that buford was an extremely huge crime guy in town and that he got arrested after his duel with marty (i dont remember if this actually happens in canon or not), the story of how a kid from out of town, by the name of clint eastwood, bested buford “mad dog” tannen, (who is basically known through out the town that if you get in duel with him you’re already dead) without even using a gun. purely just by out smarting him with a makeshift oldtimey bulletproof vest, would be a huge story. and considering how many people were witnesses to the duel and eastwoods mysterious death shortly after, this story must’ve become big in the town’s history. also, considering how marty said that everyone in school knew the story of clara clayton, it wouldn’t be a long shot to say that most (if not all) the students knew the story of clint eastwood. i would like to think that teachers would talk about the story as evidence of “brain over brawn” or something
i can imagine marty, once he gets back from all his time traveling, having to write an essay about the story of clint eastwood and just slightly panicking because that’s him how the fuck is he supposed to write an essay about his own first person perspective and pretended that it was written by someone who read the story in a textbook a hundred years later?? i can also imagine someone writing a book the eastwood that’s like realistic fiction, trying to guess who this guy really was and how did he really die, called like “a stranger named eastwood” or smthn. because they’d probably have maggie and seamus’s tellings of how they found him knocked out (having crashed into the fence) and in weird clothes. idk, i like the idea of clint eastwood being a hill valley historical figure shrouded in mystery and theories and stuff
anyway, i hope this made sense :) somethings kinda got away from me oops
this was mostly just me seeing how it was to write down my thoughts like this, so if you read all this congrats on participating in my experiment ig 🍾
#back to the future#marty mcfly#i love the idea of people writing stories about who clint eastwood might’ve been#what if it’s a class assignment#and marty basically then has to write fanfiction about himself#anyhoo#i was thinking about his effects last night and thought it would be good to get them down#i might do more of these#got alot of ideas stuck in this here noggin o mine#fiddl is sorry about your barn#local legend clint eastwood

Lucifer Ending: Tragedy and Contradiction
Okay, so I tried really hard to resist the urge to post anything about it, and I even held out for over a week trying to process/calm my feelings about the ending to Lucifer. I’ve tried, I really have, but the more I try, the more I CANNOT rationalize that ending. As you may have guessed, I absolutely hated the ending, and I just really, really, have to get my feelings out about it. If you liked the ending (I really wish I could be you!!), you may want to skip reading any further (I recommend you do, in fact).
Ultimately, regardless of the details, that ending for Chloe/Lucifer is just way too heartbreakingly tragic and sad, however, this is made all the more unbearable because none of it makes ANY damn sense.
I’m just going to start by pasting a bunch of quotes first:
2x05
Lucifer: I refuse to believe that. There is always another way.
Mum: If anyone can find it, it's you.
2x02 Chloe: “Doing what's best for your child, it doesn't always make them happy.”
3x16
Cain: But you're the Devil, you always keep your word.
Lucifer: I do. So I hope you understand how difficult a decision this was. And yet, oddly, the easiest I've ever made.
6x01
Lucifer: I love you, Chloe Decker. I'd do anything for you. Except give you up. Give us up.
6x09
Lucifer: I need you to know that if there is any choice to be had at all, I will always... choose us.
6x07
Rory: You make choices, Mom. If I told you what they are, you wouldn't really be making them any more.
Yeah. Not going to comment further on these right now.
Nor am I going to even get into the whole fate vs free will. Regardless of your views on that debate, why on earth a show about free will spends its final season spotlighting the widespread, controversial debate of fate vs free will by introducing a time loop plot, I’ll never understand.
But even if we forget the numerous issues/contradictions with that (and the ridiculous irony of Rory’s quote shown above), and accept that Lucifer and Chloe chose this, I honestly feel like screaming because WHY??? Why on earth would they EVER want to chose this?
I know the 2 reasons given, the reasons everyone is speaking up with, the reasons expanded on at length in fanfiction, and I’ve tried really, REALLY hard to rationalize them in my head, tried to enjoy the sweet moments fanfic writers are trying to make of it, but I cannot. Because it doesn’t make any damn sense whatsoever to me.
Reason # 1: Lucifer never would’ve realized his ‘calling’ to help tortured souls in Hell.
Right. First of all, if it really is his ‘calling’ he would figure it out eventually because that’s what a bloody calling is. I mean really. Not to mention there was plenty of evidence that he was figuring it out already, and him figuring it out after actually helping people in hell (Jimmy, Dan, Mr. Said out bitch), makes way more sense than stopping someone from making the mistake of killing someone else.
And second, even if we accept the argument that he wouldn’t find his calling, we are then saying that he chose his ‘calling’ over his own family, the people he loves most of all? That’s beyond awful to me. And pretty much destroys all of the growth and beauty and love and development across the series. A complete contradiction to even earlier in series 6. See above quotes. Lucifer tells Chloe he’d do anything for her, except give her up, give them up. He tells her if there’s ever any choice to be had he would chose them (his family). So, what the heck? Which leads me to reason 2, and beware with continuing because this is UNBEARABLY frustrating to me so I may get a bit heated. I just can’t. I can’t understand this. Reason #2: They did it for their daughter, because she asked them to, because she didn’t want them to change her, because she’s happy with who she is, etc, etc..
This is the most widely accepted reason, the most referenced in fanfic, that it’s so beautiful because Lucifer and Chloe sacrificed everything for their daughter because they loved her so much.
I’m sorry, I really am, I tried so hard to make sense of this but it makes the least sense to me of all.
Why on EARTH is Rory growing up without her father better for her? Why on earth would Lucifer, of all people, knowing the pain it causes, ever chose that for his daughter?
This is not sacrificing for their daughter, this is sacrificing for NOTHING at all. This is doing the ABSOLUTE worst for their daughter, all because she asked them to?
And her asking them to in the first place makes no sense either. Why on earth would Rory ASK for it after all the pain it caused her? Earlier she told Lucifer and Chloe that him leaving ‘ruined her life’, and now all of a sudden she’s happy with it? After seeing and reading how much Lucifer and Chloe loved each other she wants to separate them? After saying she now loves Lucifer too she wants to do that to him? And you can’t tell me it’s her being selfless because she thinks he won’t find his ‘calling’ otherwise, because even if he doesn’t (which he would for reasons above), then again we are saying they are choosing a ‘calling’ over family, over those they love most. Or, even worse, Rory, is choosing FOR HIM and ROBBING him of his choice to chose his family over his ‘calling’.
No matter what way you spin it, it is just all kinds of wrong and messed up, and does not showcase the love the characters have for each other, nor the freedom of choice.
There’s nothing beautiful about any of this to me. It’s just plain awful and cruel for NO REASON.
Yes, I know I’m missing one popular theme with all of this, and I might just hate this one most of all: That even though Rory suffered it made her stronger, she’s proud of who she is, and they don’t want to change her, don’t want to ‘kill’ this version of Rory who grew up without her dad.
No. Just no. This pains me immensely. So we’re saying that she’s a better person having grown up without a Dad than she would’ve been growing up with a complete, loving family? That people who grow up with loving families can’t be as strong and proud of who they are? WTF?
Sure, we as people are only strong in life when we need to be but that doesn’t mean that someone who grew up more fortunate doesn’t still have the capacity for that strength (or that they don’t suffer in other ways).
Yeah, it’s beautiful when you grew up abandoned and were able to eventually overcome it, but in reality you’ll always be scarred to some degree, and you certainly would have been less messed up, happier if you hadn’t.
Changing the time loop so that Rory could grow up with her father in her life wouldn’t ‘kill’ her. Fundamentally she’d still be the same, still would have grown up with her ‘kickass’ mom. All the good parts would still be there. There would just be even more good and much less of the bad.
How on earth would Chloe and Lucifer not want to chose that?
There is no way anyone can ever convince me that you come out better growing up abandoned by your father than you would have if he hadn’t. Just no.
We are strong and proud to overcome something only when WE HAVE NO CHOICE. CHOOSING to suffer just to show how great you are afterward for overcoming it when you could have chosen NOT to suffer at all, is just the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.
It reminds me of a quote from one of my childhood movies, the original “Lion King.’ Little Simba tells his dad he went looking for danger to show that he’s brave, and his dad answers, “I’m only brave when I have to be.”
So. Circling back. Ignoring the debate on whether or not there was even a choice given (fate vs free will and ridiculous time loops). Ignoring that Lucifer likely (and should have) been able to find his ‘calling’ anyway.
Then, in summary, we are left with Lucifer (and Chloe) ‘choosing’ for Lucifer to leave them for Hell, abandoning them both (and Trixie) because either
1) Lucifer’s calling is more important than being with his family
2) Rory wants to suffer, to let her parents suffer an unimaginable amount of pain, just to show that she comes out better for it, even when she can choose not to suffer at all. And Chloe and Lucifer are both in agreement that this is best for them and their daughter.
What. The. Hell???!!
I’m sorry, but there’s no rationale for this. None. At. All.
I’ll be the first to admit that I would never be happy with such a devastatingly heartbreaking ending no matter what the reasons, but, HOLY HELL, can they at least have had it make even the smallest amount of SENSE?!
It’s just angst for the sake of angst, and I especially did not expect this from this show. It was always a show not to be taken too seriously, not to overthink and just have fun with, and that’s what made it work for me. But then they decide it’s a good idea to 1) throw in a time loop plot when time loops in fiction is pretty much the definition of serious complexity and making viewers overthink. And 2) have it end with such a tragic and sad ending that makes no sense. I am so sick and tired of the trend now days that shows can’t have happy endings.
(Edit: Now look what happened. I’ve gone and made another rant: https://thehiddenmemoryuniverse.tumblr.com/post/663357629901438976/lucifer-morningstars-broken-journey)

Hi there! For the two-part drabble, may I request Deckerstar in situation 13 (someone does something stupid) with sentence 6 ("Do I love you? Yes. Do I like you? That's still up for debate.") Thank you, and I've really really been enjoying your the updates on your Planning a Hell of a Wedding fic!
Hey! It took me two months (including more than one month of writing) but I've now finally finished your prompt. Another anon had requested 25 (being somewhere you're not supposed to) + 6 and dear @my-crazy-awesome-sox had requested 26 (a very cheesy date) + 6, so I've merged all your prompts into one 7K+ long 'drabble'. Hope you don't mind!
And I'm glad you like the updates on PHW! I'll try to write some more now that I've finished this.
Hope you like this!
Also, an immense special thanks to @my-crazy-awesome-sox for helping me with this fic. She truly has been a godsend, and a lot of the wording (especially in the later parts) is kindly and almost directly borrowed from her mind. Thank you again, babe!
Also thanks to @lightbringer-666 for assisting me with some French. If all the French isn't perfect, it's because I also googled my way to a lot of it. Apologies in advance (and please do let me know if there's anything I should change!)
Someone does something stupid + being somehwere you're not supposed to + a very cheesy date + 'Do I love you? Yes. Do I like you? That's still up for debate.'

It’s ridiculous, really. The butterflies fluttering in her stomach like she’s a schoolgirl waiting for her prom date. It’s not even their first date. It’s not even their second. The thing is, between becoming God and Consultant, revising a few laws of the cosmos, fixing some bugs in humanity, bringing Dan to Heaven, and going to therapy, she and Lucifer haven’t had much time for, well, each other. At least not in ways that didn’t involve discussions about the redesign of the afterworld and how to sate world hunger. So yes, she is a little giddy with excitement at the thought of having a whole evening to themselves—no celestial craziness. Just the two of them and a bottle of the restaurant’s finest.
If Lucifer would just show up.
She checks her phone. 06:14. Unlike last time she anxiously waited for him in a restaurant, there’s a text.
Running a bit late. Please forgive me. Can’t wait to see you ❤
And one more.
Sorry. Can’t wait to see you naked*
Chloe shakes her head, a stupid smile spreading across her face. She resists typing back a flirty reply—he’ll be with her in a minute, and she is nota schoolgirl—and puts her phone back in her clutch. Hands trembling a little, she smooths out invisible creases in the dress he’s bought her. It’s short and tight, of course, but perfectly so. Reaching mid-thigh, with a small slit revealing a bit more of her left thigh. Black, unsurprisingly; he still hasn’t gotten over how delectable she looked in the LBD she wore on their last ‘date’. And this one makes her legs look even longer, which is undoubtedly the primary reason Lucifer picked it. Still, it isn’t skimpy. He could have opted for a deep neckline and cold shoulders—she almost expected him to when he said he’d bought her a dress—but he didn’t. Instead, the short and skin-tight skirt is perfectly balanced with a high neck and long bell sleeves that are cut open just above her joints, making the soft fabric flow around her bare underarms. She likes it—would probably have bought it herself if it weren’t crazy expensive. Likes how it makes her feel both sexy and classy and most of all comfortable, likes that he knows her so well.
She fidgets with her earring and traces the rim of her empty wine glass with her fingertip, watching people as much as she can from their semi-private corner. She spots an Oscar-winning film director, a retired NFL player, that pop star Lucifer pretends to hate, and just how expensive isthis place?
She’s immediately distracted by the shift in the air and the sound of Italian loafers approaching her.
‘My me, Detective!’
His brown eyes roam her figure as she stands to kiss him. Their lips meet in a soft peck that could easily have turned into more if Lucifer hadn’t pulled away to look her up and down.
‘You look like a goddess.’
Chloe snorts and chuckles, not yet used to the title he insists is hers if she’ll have it. She puts a hand on his chest, gazing up at him with a smile.
‘You don’t look too bad yourself.’
He hums and leans in for another kiss, but something comes between them this time. They both look down—at a dozen red roses.
‘Those for me?’ she asks, warmth spreading in her chest.
Lucifer hands her the bouquet with a nod and that soft smile she loves more than anything. He pulls out her chair, a gentle hand on her shoulder as she sits down, and sits down himself.
There’s a card nestled between the velvet petals: ‘For the Detective & Consultant’, her old and new moniker scribbled side by side in his annoyingly elegant handwriting. The latter nickname, however, is written in smaller, cramped letters—an afterthought. She smiles.
She turns the card, expecting to find a dirty, eye-roll-deserving comment on the back. But there’s no lewd joke or naughty promise.
It simply says, ‘I love you.’
Her heart swells, filling her chest till it aches. It’s all so new still. Not the love between them, but how it’s uninhibited now. It’s not like they don’t have their obstacles—just yesterday they had a fight—but there’s no doubt anymore, no voices telling them some dreams simply cannot be. They might have a whole universe to deal with, but for the first time ever, things between them are easy. No words are left unsaid. No feelings are squashed. No time is wasted. Every day is spent wrapped in each other’s love. Finally.
‘I love you too,’ she tells him, and he lights up, amazed. Confident. Their hands find each other on the table, fingers intertwining.
A waiter comes by with two menu cards and a vase for the flowers. Chloe reads through the menu carefully, pretending to know what kind of food hides behind the fancy French names. Lucifer sees right through her, sighs, and orders some hors d’œuvres, two of something she couldn’t pronounce if she tried, and a bottle of red.
‘So, were you stuck in traffic, or…?’ Chloe asks him with a glint in her eye as the waiter pours her a generous glass of wine. The celestial being with the supernatural metabolism can drive home.
The being in question looks confused for a moment before he answers, ‘Ah, no. I’m sorry I kept you waiting.’ For a brief second, he looks at her as if he’s apologising for more than tonight, but she strokes his knuckles and smiles at him, you’re here now, and he moves on to explain himself. ‘I just couldn’t find this bloody suit. Only when I’d ransacked the house did I realise it was still at the penthouse, so I had to make a detour.’
He is a little excused; so many things are impossible to find right now, with more or less unpacked boxes spread out between her apartment, Lux, and their new home. In hindsight, moving in together while taking over the almighty family business probably wasn’t the best idea, but they’ll get settled soon enough. Besides, right now, what’s important is that Lucifer was late because of a wardrobe crisis, and she will not let that slide.
‘You couldn’t just wear one of your three hundred other suits?’
A flicker of hurt and sheepishness flashes across Lucifer’s face.
‘Well, this one is special.’
Chloe takes in his suit: the navy jacket, the matching waistcoat, the royal blue shirt.
‘Oh.’
He smirks at her as heat creeps up her cheeks (so much for not being a schoolgirl).
‘You remember?’
She does. Of course, she does. She remembers vividly—how shocked he’d been at first, how new and soft his lips had felt against hers. How they’d held onto each other until the sun was setting and she really did have to go home and feed Maze and Trixie.
She also remembers how she, later, behind closed lids, had ripped off the shirt and waistcoat in desperate need. How it’d earned her a husky chuckle and a breathy ‘D’tective!’, and the sinful Heaven that was his hot and open mouth.
‘You okay, darling?’ Lucifer looks at her, his expression somewhere between concerned and amused. His thumb brushes the back of her hand.
Chloe takes a sip of wine and clears her throat. Adjusts her necklace.
‘Yeah, just, you know. Reminiscing.’
He studies her flushed face for a second before his curious smile spreads into a full-blown Cheshire grin.
‘You had a wet dream about me, didn’t you?! After our first kiss?’
Chloe glares at him. ‘Say it a little louder for the people in the back, will ya?’ He opens his mouth, and she immediately feels the need to clarify, ‘Do not say it a little louder for the people in the back.’
His smile doesn’t falter. ‘I’m just ecstatic to know our first kiss left you all hot and bothered. I mean, not that I’m surprised.’ He brings his wine glass to his lips and lets go of her hand to gesture down himself.
Chloe rolls her eyes. ‘Yeah, like you didn’t go home and wanked yourself blind that night.’
He laughs, surprised by her bluntness, and shamelessly answers, ‘Why, of course I did. That night, other nights. Before and after that kiss. This morning. You serve as quite the spank bank, my dear.’
She definitely doesn’t blush at that. But she does glance down at his waistcoat, at the soft skin and hard muscles she knows hide beneath it. She gives him a slow and dirty smirk, appreciative.
‘You too, baby.’
Lucifer raises an eyebrow, his eyes darkening. Much to Chloe’s satisfaction, his neck and cheeks redden a little. Then he gives her a lopsided grin, smug and impressed.
‘Pray tell, Detective.’ His eyes glide down her face, her chest, her stomach, and slowly back up again.
In another time, she would have given him a stern look and told him it was none of his business, but she doesn’t. She also doesn’t tell him about lonely nights and long showers and crying his name into her pillow when they were still just friends. Instead, she leans across the table and half-whispers—
‘If you behave yourself tonight, I might show you.’
He gulps. Squirms a little in his seat, and—when he’s regained his composure and quite indiscreetly adjusted himself under the table—leans forward till there’s only mere inches between their faces.
‘Is that a promise?’ His voice is low and husky, his breath hot against her face. His eyes drop to her lips.
‘Pardon, monsieur, mais l’entrée est prête.’
They lean back in their seats and turn to the poor, young waiter, who’s balancing two seemingly heavy plates, a carafe of water, and a basket of crusty bread in his arms.
‘Lovely!’ Lucifer’s eyes follow the food as the waiter puts it down in front of them. ‘Merci beaucoup, Olivier.’
Olivier smiles at Lucifer, shy but with a look in his eyes Chloe knows all too well. She doesn’t blame him.
‘Ça va?’ Lucifer asks, his voice lined with genuine fondness.
Olivier nods. ‘Oui, ça va. Et toi?’
Lucifer looks to Chloe, beaming. He takes her hand on the table and interlocks their fingers again.
‘Tout va très bien,’ he answers, looking back up at Olivier with a dazzling smile.
Olivier’s eyes drop to their hands and, probably, to the ring, white and pearlescent, on Chloe’s third finger. His lips tug up at the corner.
‘Je peux voir ça. Félicitations!’ Before Lucifer can respond to that, whatever it means, Olivier gestures towards their food. ‘Et bon appétit.’
Lucifer replies with a friendly ‘merci’ and calls out something like ‘Salue ton père de ma part!’ as Olivier walks off.
Chloe stares at Lucifer, twirling the smashed bullet around her neck between her fingers.
‘What?’ he asks, curious.
She tilts her head, smiling. ‘French suits you.’
He smiles back, lasciviously. ‘Yeah?’
‘Mm-hm.’
The look he gives her leaves no doubt that, sooner or later, he’ll be whispering foreign phrases against her skin.
But right now, they have other appetites to sate. They dig into the first course, and the (assumedly) insanely high prices suddenly make sense, because it is frigging good. The main course is even more delicious—divine, actually, to the point where Chloe has to ask Lucifer if he accidentally spiked the food with a blessing or two. He assures her it’s all Olivier’s father, no holiness involved, apart from Chef Beaumont’s heavenly cœeur de filet de bœuf. Chloe moans in agreement, savouring every bite.
He watches her with a smile, jokingly apologising for not serving her grilled cheese, and she makes a bad joke about this date being cheesy enough as it is. Because it is cheesy. Him buying her a dress, bringing her red roses, the love note, the candlelit restaurant, the French food, not to mention the suit. It’s like a rom-com parody.
But it’s also perfect. It’s everything she’s longed for, an over-the-top romantic date night with her- with her partner. A date that isn’t cut short by a horny stewardess (may she rest in peace) or a failed attempt at exorcism; where Lucifer actually shows up and isn’t just trying to outdo another man; where Chloe isn’t trying to make him ‘do something good for a change’; and their parents aren’t tagging along on a headache-inducing surprise double date that is also a sting in disguise.
So, in some ways, it is kinda their first date.
And it’s a really, really nice date.
They laugh—they laugh so much. More than they’ve done in the past few months combined. Or so it feels, at least.
They laugh, and they talk. About movies they cried to, favourite drinks, and how they’re gonna paint the living room. About the summers spent under the plum tree in Nana’s garden, and all the pranks pulled in the gilded meadows of Heaven. About chasing Amenadiel through the clouds, and how Chloe always wanted a sibling. About her short-lived Hollywood experience and that one time she may have gotten a little high at a Backstreet Boys concert. (He seems impressed by that, her ‘abhorrent’ taste in music aside.) They exchange secrets they never told anyone, stories of bad kisses—Jed used too much tongue; Will was always better with words—and tales from drunken nights out. They reminisce on the first time they met—how annoying she’d found him, how compelling he’d found her—and the many, many cases, some really weird, that first encounter led to.
They talk about Dan.
About missing him, even though he’s making waffles with Charlotte now.
About Trixie, and how therapy seems to be helping her, too. How she still sometimes breaks down crying, but no longer crawls into their bed in the middle of the night, shaking and gasping for air. How she’d laughed the other day, and it’d made them both cry. How incredibly strong she is, that little urchin.
They talk about going to Paris one day, all three of them—the French do make excellent chocolate cakes—or maybe somewhere else she wants to see, once everything is calmer. They talk about some of the prayers Lucifer has been hearing, about faith and free will, what they miss about solving crimes together, what they don’t miss, and how they’re still very much partners, even more so now—in every corner of life.
They talk till their cheeks hurt from smiling and Chloe’s half-drunk on expensive Burgundy. Lucifer asks for the cheque, their food long gone, and pays with cash, making sure to leave a tip possibly the size of Olivier’s monthly salary.
They leave the restaurant giggling about a stupid joke Lucifer makes, his hand splayed out on the small of her back. Her own hand is placed much lower than what is decent for such a fancy place like this, practically cupping his ass, but she’s tipsy enough not to care, and he doesn’t seem to mind the attention. It’s his own fault, anyway, for having his pants tailored to hug his butt like this.
Naturally, Lucifer drives. He doesn’t hold back his comments on how slow and boring her car is, but at least he stays somewhere close to the speed limit. She wishes he’d also wear a seatbelt, and keep both hands on the wheel, but his palm is nice and warm on her thigh, and she trusts he’ll get them home safely. She leans back in her seat, her head comfortably buzzing from wine and him, and watches the blurry city lights through the window. He’s turned down 2ndStreet.
‘Where are we going?’ She looks over at him, curious.
He smiles in the shadows, his fingers stroking the skin left exposed by the slit in her dress. His touch leaves hot, tingling paths on her thigh.
‘I thought we’d go for a second desert.’
Chloe is beyond full, her dress stretched over her now slightly rounder belly, and she can think of other things she’d rather do (things that include pinning Lucifer to their bed and making him groan and beg and laugh), but she’ll never say no to a freshly brewed latte and watching Lucifer obscenely enjoy some Sicilian pastry.
She turns up the radio, fumbling a bit, and closes her eyes with a smile, more content than she’s been in… a long time. His hand stays on her thigh as they move through the night, fingers tapping to the beat of the songs against her skin, creeping higher, teasing, just enough to make her breath hitch, but nothing more, and then back down again. Maybe they’ll just take that latte to-go.
The car comes to a final halt, and first then does Chloe realise they haven’t stopped outside the late-night café and bakery that’s opened down on Spring Street.
‘Lucifer, what’—she looks around, double-checking—‘what are we doing at the back entrance to the precinct? You said we were getting desert.’
He leans across the centre console, fingers spreading on her thigh, and brings their faces so close their noses touch. Chloe swallows.
‘We are,’ he assures her with a wolfish grin, his gaze lingering hungrily on her, and she could jump him right then and there. But he takes his hand off her body and clicks her seatbelt free, pulls the key out of the ignition and exits the car. He strides to her side and opens the door for her, gentlemanly as ever, and she watches him with narrowed eyes as she takes his hand and steps out, sceptical even in her cloud of lust and inebriation.
He heads directly for the back entrance and opens the black iron door with ease, rudely ignoring the state-of-the-art security locks. A part of her knows she should stop him right there and give him a stern talking-to about respecting human laws—he still can’t do whatever the hell he likes just because he’s God now. But another part, the part of her who helped him empty two bottles of French wine, really wants to step over that threshold, to intertwine their fingers and go on a late-night adventure. And that part of her must overpower the other, because she lets him snake his arm around her waist and lead her through the door and inside the familiar building.
She senses him grinning by her side, his fingers curling around her hip in a deliciously tight grip that only stokes the heat pooling low in her belly. He takes her down the corridor, around the corner, and then they’re there, in the middle of the precinct. Everything is covered in darkness, the wide, open space only illuminated by a never-resting info screen and the purplish glow from the vending machine. Still, she can make out the shape of their desk, the door to Ella’s lab, the interrogation room. The fridge in the breakroom still hums obnoxiously, and the air smells like strong coffee and sugary glaze—or maybe that’s just a phantom. Either way, it all tugs at her heart, beckons her down memory lane, and she lets herself be pulled. Through the good, the bad, and the crazy.
Lucifer is quiet beside her, probably lost in nostalgia himself, or maybe just letting her have this moment. But not for long. With titillating eagerness and a devilish smirk, he wraps his fingers around her wrist and pulls her by the hand—towards the evidence closet.
He presses her up against the door, his body hot and hard against hers, and pins her hand against the cold glass of the frosted window. His dark eyes sparkle with mischievous excitement.
‘There’s something we never got to try.’
Her pulse quickens, blood humming loud and hot.
‘Lucifer, we can’t.’ She tries to sound firm around her suddenly heavy breaths and dry throat, but he doesn’t seem discouraged in the least.
He leans in, closer, his smirking lips brush against her ear. ‘Can’t we, now?’
And as if he hadn’t done enough already, he takes her earlobe between his teeth and bites it.
Chloe smothers a gasp.
‘We shouldn’t.’ She puts her hand on his chest and pushes her head against his, nudging him away from her neck so she can thinkfor a second. He reluctantly obeys and settles for placing his hands on her sides, dangerously high, thumbs almost stroking the underside of her breasts. She pushes his hands down to her waist. ‘We shouldn’t have sex in Evidence—shouldn’t have broken into the precinct in the first place. I mean, do you want us to get arrested?’
He only laughs at that, of course. ‘I’m God, darling. I won’t get arrested.’
Chloe rolls her eyes. He would probably charm his way out of it if they were caught, God or not—but that doesn’t make any of this okay. She’s about to tell him as much when he adds-
‘But if you wanted to cuff me and tell me what to do, resisting would be the last thing on my mind. In fact, I’m sure we can find some cuffs lying about-’
‘Lucifer, no.’
Her tone is sharper than she’d intended. He pulls back a little, studying her face. His eyes flicker to her parted lips, her flushed, heaving chest, and then back to her determined gaze. His brows furrow.
‘Do you really not want to do this?’ His voice is soft, serious.
They stare at each other, hot breaths mingling. He’s still pressed up against her, a six-foot-three wall of muscle and love, and his scent—spicy cologne and smoke—floods her head like ambrosia, a dizzying fog of him. Her skin burns beneath his palms, his touch sending embers through the expensive fabric and down, flames licking at her inner thighs. Her heartbeat thumps in her ears.
‘We don’t even work here anymore,’ she rasps, deflecting his question. It’s a weak excuse, but she is fraying at the edges.
A salacious smile forms on Lucifer’s face. ‘We’ll just pretend we do.’
He takes a step back, putting a more ‘professional’ distance between them, adjusts his lapels and attempts at a neutral expression. ‘You wanted to show me something in Evidence, Detective?’
And there’s that word again, want—because she still hasn’t answered his question and her consent means more to him than anything. She loves him for that, she really does, but right now, it’s not that simple. She wants, every cell in her body wants, wants him to shove her into that closet and take her apart. Has wanted it for so long, thought about it for years—at her desk, in the shower, while sitting next to him during interrogations. Thought about it in the self-same evidence closet, as she was pressed up against the wall by someone else. Imagined tugging at his hair, feeling him between her legs—even had to swallow his name. She still thinks about it, thought about it the other night, briefly, wistfully, while making a cup of tea. Thought about how much fun they could have had, sneaking off to secret corners of the precinct like two horny teenagers—if it hadn’t been for, well, mostly Michael, and all the chaos he’d released upon their lives.
In fact, it’s only fair they have at least one reckless, semi-public rendezvous. Just one. To make up for the honeymoon phase they never really had. With all the hurt and heartbreak they’ve had to go through, alone and together, they deserve to have one night of stupid fun.
On the other hand, and this is why it’s not that simple, it’s a bad idea. It’s a really bad idea. And also, pretty illegal. If she asked him to, if she said no now, he would take her home and push her up against the nearest surface, bury himself in her faster than any of them could get their clothes off, bring her to ecstasy-
But it’s not the same. It just isn’t.
With as much innocence she can muster, she looks up at his anticipatory face and puts her hand on the doorknob. The cold steel is a soothing balm against her burning skin.
‘I do want to show you something in Evidence.’
He lights up like it’s a declaration of love, all unrestrained enthusiasm.
‘After you, darling.’
Their lips crash against each other before the door is even closed. He pushes her backwards in the semi-darkness, between shelves and boxes, hands low on her hips. His fingers dig softly into her ass as they stumble towards a sliver of wall together, panting and laughing against each other’s mouths. He doesn’t break contact with her lips as he quickly sheds his jacket on the way and throws it over his shoulder, for the moment uncaring of dirt and creases. Then her back hits the wall with a thunk and she’s instantly struck by déjà vu, until Lucifer grabs her thigh inside the slit of her dress, and the unwelcome memory quickly evaporates in the heat of their clashing bodies as he wraps her bare leg around his waist and pins her to the wall with the hard press of his hips. Their unison groans fill the cramped space.
‘We shouldn’t be here,’ she murmurs breathlessly against his lips before opening her mouth to let his tongue back in. He tastes like wine and crème brûlée.
He hums in disagreement. ‘We should always be here, Detective.’ With the hand still on her ass, he pushes their bodies impossibly closer together and rocks against her. She moans, despite herself.
‘We- I-‘ Chloe stammers, leaning her head back as he kisses his way down her neck, her mind and body pulling in different directions. ‘This is- why am I letting you get away with this?’
She feels him smirk against her throat. His hand slowly glides up her inner thigh—her pulse quickening with every inch—until his thumb brushes past damp fabric.
‘Because you like me.’ His beard rasps against her hot skin in the crook of her neck, a contrast to his soft lips placing slow, open-mouthed kisses from her jaw to her collar. ‘Because you love me.’
Chloe scoffs.
‘Do I love you?’ she questions, her breathing erratic, her eyes turned to the ceiling as he sucks a mark onto her neck. With the hand that is still between her legs, he pushes her underwear to the side and rubs against her, nice and slow. ‘Yes.’ Her gasped answer has a proud, almost victorious chuckle rumbling from his chest.
‘But do I like you?’—she bites her lip and stifles another moan as his fingers press just right—‘That’s still up for debate.’
He breaks off the assault on her neck and looks up at her, eyes black with desire.
‘Allow me to try and tip the scales, then.’
She’s bereaved of his fingers as his hand moves to the edge of her underwear, pulling it down as he sinks to his knees. She almost stumbles when he slips it over her feet, but he grabs her leg, steadying her, and helps her out of her stilettos. Once she’s barefoot, his warm palms slide up the side of her legs, pushes the hem of her dress up a few inches, and then his mouth is on her.
He licks her, slowly, tenderly. She reaches down to pull at his hair, commanding him to give her more, to take more, and he does. He starts feasting on her, all tongue and lips and-
‘God, yes.’
He chuckles smugly into her core. ‘I do love it when you moan my name, darling.’ Eyes fixed on hers, he gives her a nice, long lick before he dives back in. He kisses her clit, sucks it, circles it, laps at her like he can’t get enough, and she’s reduced to a quivering, whimpering mess. She bucks against his face, needing more, and he does that thing that she likes, tongue flicking her clit, warm and wet, as he pushes a finger inside her.
Her eyes clench shut, her head falls back against the wall. She doesn’t bother holding back her groan this time.
Lucifer hums against her, low and greedy, taking as much as he can, before he pulls away with ragged breaths. ‘Ma déesse, que tu as bon gout.’
The meaning is forever lost on her, but his hungry tone, the way his tongue wraps smoothly around the French syllables, the words dripping like sin from his glistening lips, sends warm shivers down her spine.
He slows down his pace inside her, places kisses on her lower belly, seeks her ticklish spots and the ones that make her breath hitch, and then trails down to her hips, studying her sharp bone with his lips and his teeth, before moving down to her thigh, stubble prickling her tender skin. As if he’s got all the time in the world, he lets his mouth travel to the insides of her legs, already spread for him, and kisses a path up her inner thighs, getting closer and closer to where she aches with need, but never quite there. His finger, still moving slowly—too slowly—curls a bit, reaches that spot deep inside her that usually makes her see stars, but he pulls back before she’s even done gasping.
‘Lucifer,’ she breathes, a threat and a plea.
He places one last kiss to her sensitive thigh, nuzzles his nose against her heat, before his tongue finally finds her clit again and his finger starts pumping inside her, fast and hard. Then faster, harder, and, fuck, deeper.
‘Baby,’ she begs him to continue, fire spreading through her body, from her curling toes to her already heated cheeks.
He slows down for a second, and she reaches down to scratch at his scalp in frustration but quickly forgives him when he adds another finger and resumes his perfect pace, thrusting up in her to the beat of her racing heart.
‘Je veux te faire jouir.’ His thumb replaces his tongue as he looks up at her, eyes sparkling with lust and determination, but also patience. Like he could do this for hours, the whole night, as long as she falls apart around his tongue and fingers in the end.
He doesn’t need all night, though. She’s close, so close, can feel the beginning of that blissful high burning in her lower belly, between her thighs, where his mouth licks and nibbles and sucks. A building warmth pumping through her veins. She grabs at his hair, wraps her leg around his shoulder and pushes his face closer into her heat, needing that last-
‘Fuck, right there,’ she gasps. Right there right there right there.
He smirks against her, always eager to please, and does as she says. As she’s teetering on the edge, he curls both fingers inside her, goes impossibly deeper, and reaches the same spot as before, except this time, he doesn’t stop, and she comes with a shudder and a gasped ‘fuck!’ as he licks her through it.
‘Tu es tellement belle, ma chérie,’ he tells her, voice soft with awe as she comes down from her high and opens her eyes. She understands enough of the words to smile down at him, at his dishevelled hair, his swollen lips, and warm, chocolatey eyes.
‘You too, baby.’
She still hasn’t caught her breath when he, after wiping his mouth on her thigh, slowly rises from his feet and starts making his way up her body. His fingers skate lightly up her dress, his knuckles brushing against her rising and falling ribs as his hands sneak higher and higher, closer and closer. With a feather-light touch, he starts tracing the curves of her breasts, deliberately avoiding her aching nipples. He teases her with his fingers, kisses her neck, lips trailing, hot and slow, up to her jaw and the sensitive spot behind her earlobe.
‘J’ai envie de toi,’ he says into her ear, his voice rough with want and determination.
Chloe can’t take it anymore. She fists his waistcoast in one hand and grabs him by the hair with the other to pull him up into a hard kiss. He tries to stay in control, to hold back his obvious desire for just a little longer, but he quickly loses the battle and lets a bit of hunger take over. They pour equal heat into the kiss, tongues pressing and teeth clashing as their mouths slide against each other. She threads her fingers through his curls, he bites her lip, and they both groan and gasp into the kiss.
Chloe’s the one to pull away, needing air sooner than him. They’re looking into each other’s eyes, both panting, when he says it again, ‘J’ai envie de toi.’ This time, breathy desperation shines through his voice. ‘Je veux être en toi.’
And then they’re kissing again and both of them are working at his belt and pants in a flurry of hands until he’s finally inside her with one quick thrust. He fills her to the hilt, deliciously stretching her inner muscles, warm and hard. For a moment, they’re both so overcome they can only pause and breathe, Lucifer’s forehead cradled in the crook of her shoulder as her hand gently strokes the short hairs on the back of his neck.
He pulls back to look deeply into her eyes, and starts off slow. Not teasing, just tender. He kisses her cheeks and neck, every inch of skin he can reach with his lips, and whispers sweet nothings against her skin. She can’t know for sure, of course, because it’s still in French, and she doesn’t catch all of it, the sounds alien and muffled—‘t’es incroyable’, she hears, ‘j’suis fou amoureux de toi’—but something about his tone tells her it’s not as dirty as whatever he was saying before. Still, it makes her just as wet, the words tingling across her skin.
He picks up the pace, wraps her legs tighter around him, and pushes her harder against the wall. His hand grasps her breast roughly, seeking purchase, then rhythmically strokes over her nipple in apology, and she moans her relief. The shelves on either side of them hit the wall with a consistent thump, thump, thump as he thrusts up into her, fucks her, their harsh pants mingling in the small space between their parted lips. Chloe claws at Lucifer’s shoulders and back, hands scrambling for something to hold onto. Even through the two layers of fabric, she can feel his warmth and muscles, and a sudden urge bubbles up within her. With desperate fingers, she starts undoing the buttons on his shirt, but it takes too long—she needs him—so she rips open both shirt and waistcoat and frantically pushes them off his shoulders. He pins her against the wall with a hard thrust, letting go of her thigh and breast to shake the material onto the floor, and Chloe scratches at his finally bare back and shoulders, nails digging into slick, freckled flesh. She arches back into the wall and bares her neck for him to nip and kiss.
‘Fuck, Lucifer!’ she whines. ‘Oh, God, baby, fuckyes!’
He growls at the sound of her noises and bites her ear.
‘J’adore baiser avec toi.’ One hand slides down to her ass, holding her and pushing her dress higher up as the other bites into the now bare skin at her waist. The sharp touch sends a jolt down to her throbbing clit, making her clench tighter around him. ‘J’adore ton corps. T’es vraiment une déesse.’ The last word is a groan against her lips as he kisses her.
It’s wet, messy, and so delicious they both grasp tightly onto each other’s mouths with lips, tongues and teeth, neither of them wanting to ever let go.
‘Je veux t’embrasser,’ Lucifer pants when they break apart for a second, his gaze fixed on her mouth as their lungs fight for air. His dark eyes soften when they look into hers. ‘Chaque jour de ma vie,’ he adds reverently as he leans in. ‘Pour toujours.’ And then he kisses her again, like he wants it to last for all eternity.
His thrusts turn slower and deeper as they kiss, harder, until kissing becomes panting into each other’s mouths and Chloe’s head falls back in sheer pleasure. He tightens his grip on her ass and runs the hand on her waist up her side, brushing his thumb over her nipple as he passes her breast, up her neck, and cups the side of her face. She lets their eyes meet, and the way he’s looking at her, with absolute awe and gratitude, makes her heart flutter and her hips buck against his bare stomach. Her hands slide from where they’ve been clutching his mess of a hair to his back, trailing down to where he’s most sensitive. She places her palms on either side of his spine and presses lightly, carefully.
‘Tu me-’ he cuts off with a gasp when her nails skim over his hidden wings, ‘Tu me rends- fucking hell, Chloe.’
She keens at the guttural sound of her name. He leans his forehead against hers with a grunt, the slight change in angle making his rhythm falter, one hand slamming against the wall next to her. She watches the rest of his control slip through glazed eyes. She did this to him. She rendered God himself lost to his own bliss. That knowledge itself is nearly enough to push her over the edge.
‘Close,’ she breathes.
He grabs both her thighs with strong hands and presses her flush up against the wall, going impossibly deeper inside her. She hisses through her teeth and sputters all kinds of incoherent, unholy prayers into the sweltering air between them. Every hard thrust pushes her closer to ecstasy.
‘You make me so happy,’ Lucifer whispers, sounding so wrecked and raw her eyes clench shut. ‘I want- I hope- fuck- I hope I make you, nnf, just as happy.’
‘You do, baby. You make me so- so-’
Heat floods her veins as she comes, the sweet tension snapping all at once. She cries out, arches her back, and moans long and low as he continues to fuck her through it. His thrusts are quick and inelegant, his arms and thighs trembling, and she knows he’s close. She intentionally clenches around him, whispers his name, and then he too is tumbling over the edge, the only type of falling she ever wants him to feel again.
They smile at each other as they try to catch their breaths, sweaty foreheads still pressed together.
‘I love you,’ he says. ‘So much.’
She hums with happiness, her heart pleasantly aching at the sound of the words he couldn’t say the last time they were here.
‘I love you too, babe.’ She reaches up to lazily nuzzle the hairs at the nape of his neck, still smiling.
‘Maybe you even like me?’
She lets out a breathy chuckle and slides down the wall to land on her bare feet. Her legs are… wobbly, to say the least. Lucifer smirks at her.
‘We’ll see about that.’ She smoothes out her dress as he tucks himself back into his pants and fastens his belt. ‘If anyone ever finds out about this, your chances are pretty bad, buddy.’
She collects his clothes from the floor and helps him into his shirt. Two buttons are missing, lost to the force of her hasty ripping. It gives her an odd sense of satisfaction, the fact that the shirt he wore when they first kissed—the shirt she dreamt of tearing off his body—now is marked by their little escapade. (At least until he gets his tailor to fix it.)
‘Well, I’ll just have to keep trying to convince you then, won’t I?’ He licks his lips and lifts his eyebrows as he offers her a hand to help her up from the floor once she’s put her shoes back on. Chloe bites her cheek so as to not smile at his suggestion and intertwines their fingers.
‘You can start by helping me assemble that new shelf system tomorrow,’ she tells him, waiting for him to groan in response, or mumble something about hiring some people to do it for them. But he doesn’t. He just opens the door for her and lets her go first with a soft smile on his still flushed face.
‘Anything for you, my love.’
The door shuts with a gentle click behind them.

day three of day two of j&kcreatorfest (with @expectingtofly)— prompts: movie night or baking dean just wants to watch brokeback mountain in peace and cas is there to enjoy the emotional roller coaster ride. (2.1k) [does contain spoilers of the movie's plot, you have been warned]
"Okay choose — Midnight Cowboy or Brokeback Mountain?"
Cas looks directly at Dean who is standing in front of him holding two DVDs and smiling wide with eagerness. To celebrate and commemorate their first Pride Month official out together, both collectively decided to watch a different LGBTQ+ themed movie every night during June (if at all possible).
Rather than the Winchester/Leahy family's normal Tuesday night movie routine, Sam and Eileen were more than willing to change up their usual viewing schedule — even helping to prepare and order movies unavailable to be streamed. But sadly this night coincided with their short weekend getaway trip up to Donna's cabin for a needed change in scenery from the bleak walls of the bunker. No matter how good the movie choice was going to be for those nights, nothing compares to either couple getting some alone time together.
Cas and Dean are left alone to watch a movie in the newly renovated 'Dean Cave' — now including a larger sectional couch (to fit everyone more comfortably), an LED monogrammed neon light of Dean's nickname from Cas, 'Titan', along with new pictures hung up from a recent family photoshoot, and a new stereo sound system all set up by Dean earlier that day.
While Dean was busy with that, Cas was in the kitchen trying out a homemade sourdough pretzel dough recipe — made with his own fermented starter — along with a batch of double-chocolate chunk brownies with lines of caramel crisscrossing across the top as their movie viewing snack for the night.
"I thought we were watching the Trixie Mattel documentary."
"I know we agreed on that, but I'm more into a gay cowboy sort of mood tonight. You feel me?"
Cas blinks, "I haven't felt you yet."
"Cas, it's a figure of speech. Stay on track. Which one do you want to watch?"
"Isn't Trixie a gay Western icon as anyway?"
Dean hesitates, "Well, I would say not exactly. Maybe because of her music style and love for Dolly—"
"Parton, we've listened to her music before," Cas interrupts.
Dean smiles, "Yes we have. We've listened to Trixie too. So I guess it depends on who you ask if they’d categorize her as a modern gay Western icon in the drag business. We're sidetracked, please just pick one."
"Okay, sorry. How about the one with the happier ending."
Dean pauses to think, "I don't think either end up happy."
"Then the one where someone doesn't die."
Dean pauses again, "I...do believe someone dies in both of them."
"Then what are the differences?"
"To be honest, there really aren't that many," Dean laughs it off, "They both take place within the same 1960s setting, even though Brokeback was made in 2004. There are two main male characters in both, who aren't close in the beginning but end up so by the end. Um. The biggest difference is that Brokeback actually takes place in Western-type locations, where Midnight Cowboy setting is in New York. Is any of this helping in your decision process?"
"To be honest, not really," Cas stands up from the couch and adjusts his shirt, "Well, you go ahead and make the final decision, okay? Let me go grab the pretzels and brownies from the kitchen while you get it set up. Want a beer?"
"Yes, please. Can you bring extra cheese sauce too?" Dean answers.
"Of course, nacho or cheddar?"
A sparkle glazes over Dean's eyes as he looks at Cas, a smirk making its way across his lips, "How about both?"
"Sure can," Cas leans in to give Dean a kiss on the cheek, brushing his hand up against the other man's shoulder, "Be right back."
Dean watches Cas walk out of the room with a smug look on his face, admiring his love before bending down in front of the TV console and turning on the DVD player to give it time to boot up. He looks back and forth between either movie case, still unable to pick one over the other. Sighing, he ends up picking Brokeback Mountain, knowing deep down that Cas would most likely end up enjoy watching it more.
As he stands back up holding the DVD player remote in his hand, he hears the sound of Cas walking down in the hallway near the mancave’s door. They've been together so long at this point, but even the slightest presence of Cas will still make a butterfly giddiness erupt inside of Dean.
"Right on time as always," Dean puts down the remote after pushing 'play', grabbing the plate and beer held out to him by Cas.
He holds it up to his nose and breathes in the mingling smells of delicious food, "You really outdid yourself on this one."
Cas blushes from the compliment before pulling his own plate closer to him, breaking off a piece of the brownie and slipping it into his mouth, "Glad to know you approve."
Dean winks and takes a bite of his own, letting out a tiny moan of satisfaction from the taste, "Did you put sea salt in this?"
"I'm surprised you noticed, it was one of my secret ingredients I added in. Thought it would go well with the caramel."
"Your intuition was right, this is delicious," Dean takes another large bite and lets the flavors melt over his tongue.
At this point in the movie, Jack and Ennis sit at the bar drinking together, getting the chance to have the last bit of freedom before heading up to the mountain to work. This reminds Dean of the many times he's shared a drink with Cas before they assumed the worst would happen, losing each other. Yet those moments have now become ones he'll never forget.
The soft touch of a hand against his face pulls Dean's eyeline from the movie, Cas reeling him into a deep kiss, their lips melding into each other creating a familiar yet comfortable feeling.
Before letting anything escalate Dean pulls back and faces his head back towards the TV, reaching up to wipe off his bottom lip softly, "Watch the movie, you're going to miss a good part."
Cas pulls away and pouts, giving him one last peck on the neck before returning fully to the boundaries of his seat.
Dean turns his head back again to Cas and reaches out for his hand, weaving their fingers together, "Hey don't do that, all I wanna do is watch the movie. We can do plenty of that later."
"Fine, fine," Cas mocks, grabbing a piece of the soft pretzel and dips it in the cheese, shoving it in his mouth with a hint of annoyance.
They manage to in silence to watch the movie a little longer before Cas speaks up again, "So...what exactly is going on?"
Dean clears his throat, "Well, Jack and Ennis got their orders to go up to the mountain to go work with the sheep and they're still trying to get used to each other. Testing out the ropes, trying to work together as a team."
"Are you sure they fall in love? They definitely don't very seem into each other at the moment."
Dean takes a sip of his beer, "Love happens in mysterious ways Cas, just like us. It is never as easy as we think, especially when two people don't really get along, to begin with."
"We got along just fine, what are you talking about?"
The only thing Dean does when he hears Cas make that statement is laugh, downing another large gulp of his beer.
Cas tilts his head, "Why are you laughing?"
"Your memory must be skewed now that you're human. Don't you remember threatening my life multiple times? Trust me, you and Uriel were a couple of dicks for the majority of that early time."
"I've changed a lot since then."
Dean smiles and squeezes Cas' hand, "We've both changed a lot. Us, being here like this, is the ending we both deserve. For them, it was much harder of a situation. Their free will isn't as fluid as the ones we take for granted."
"You're not telling me—" Cas sits back with wide eyes, trying to formulate the future plot points in his head.
"I'm not going to spoil anything from the movie, you're going to have to watch it yourself to find out yourself," Dean mimics zipping his lips and turning a key to lock it, "My lips are sealed.”
A sudden vibration erupts from Dean's back, shoving his hand into it and pulling out his phone to see Sam's picture contact picture lit up (from a drunken Halloween night dressed up in a Chewbacca costume, minus the head, with a herbal cigarette dangling between his lips), swiping to answer, "Hey Sammy, what's going on?"
"Hey-uh-hi, are you busy right now?" Sam asks in a mildly frantic tone of voice over the phone.
"Well—" Dean signals to Cas to pause the movie, "It is movie night like you know, but I can talk. Everything going okay?"
"No, yeah, everything is fine. Do you know how to treat a spider bite?"
Dean coughs slightly in surprise, "Are you telling me you already managed to get a spider bite?"
Cas, overhearing the conversation holds a hand up to his mouth to help suppress the giggling he's unable to prevent himself from doing.
"Yeah, um, neither Eileen and I can remember if it's supposed to be a cold or warm compress."
Dean shakes his head and lets out a chuckle, "Did you just drunkenly call me, to ask me, how to treat a spider bite less than 24 hours after leaving here?"
"Yes Dean, do you have the answer or not?"
"Go get some ice and makeshift ice pack. For the swelling. Any other questions?"
Sam pauses not answering right away, Dean hears the sound of rustling and clanking of ice in the background, "No that should be it. Thank you."
"Yep, you're welcome. Bye," Dean hangs up before Sam can say anything else.
"I'm sorry for all of the distractions tonight Dean, I really am. I know how much you wanted to watch this movie," Cas puts a hand on his shoulder, slightly massaging at the tense muscle underneath Dean's favorite Led Zeppelin shirt.
"It's fine Cas, we can stop the movie if you want. Maybe pick it back up tomorrow?"
"Why can't we continue watching it? If we have to pause again, then we pause again. Anyway, you have me interested in learning what will happen.”
“Alright, we’ll continue.”
Thankfully, no one else bothers them for the rest of the movie. Even when Cas was confused in certain sections, he reminded quiet and attentively watched, quickly becoming attached to the characters and the blossoming (and losing) love between them. When the credits begin to roll, Dean looks over to see Cas crying, tears streaming down his face, and biting on his bottom lip to possibly contain his emotions.
"Cas, what's wrong?"
"The jacket...Jack was the one who took the jacket that Ennis thought he forget on the mountain. He took it and kept it for all those years. And now...with Jack gone..." Cas leans in towards Dean, who wraps his arms around his shoulder in comfort, pressing little kisses on the top of his head. He lets Cas cry, holding onto him tight.
When Cas feels ready enough to pull away, Dean reaches up to wipe the tears from his cheeks, "What’s wrong Cas?"
"It just reminds me of us. When you kept my coat, the symbolism of keeping an article of clothing when your loved one is gone. In this case—" Cas sucks in a deep breath, bottom lip quivering, "Ennis lost Jack, his soulmate. But no matter how many times you've lost me, I've always come back. I wish that could have been the same for them."
"Oh, babe..." Dean pulls Cas into a kiss, strong and supportive, "They got to share their love while they could, and even though things could have been different, that was the ending destined for the."
"Why couldn’t they have ended up together?"
"Just how their cards were played, nothing we can change about it.”
Cas sighs, rubbing away his remaining leftover tears, "This really is a goddamn bitch of a unsatisfactory situation."
Dean can't help himself from laugh out of happiness, "That was a pretty good usage of that phrase, glad to know you picked up on it."
"Oh, it's going to be my go-to now, along with 'I wish I knew how to quit you’."
"Sounds to me like you liked the movie. Well, I do have an idea," Dean stands up from the couch and reaches for Cas' hand, pulling him up to a standing position, "How about we go start something? Sound good to you?"

Meeting and Dating Sparky
(Not my gif)(Requested by anonymous)
- I firmly believe that Sparky was probably in love with you for years before you even really knew of his existence. Like, you’ve never really properly met but he just thinks you’re the prettiest and sweetest girl he’s ever seen.
- That being said, you and Sparky meet when you go into Pops shop to buy a motor. He’s at the counter, as per usual, and you; being somewhat clueless, go to ask him a few questions.
- He’s awestruck but this is like his moment since you’re asking him about the one thing he knows best so he swallows the nervous lump in his throat and tries to impress you with his extensive car knowledge.
- The pride he felt when you say “wow. You really know a lot about this sort of thing” remains unparalleled; besides when he finally made you his girlfriend.
- But regardless, as you were making your purchase, he told you that he’d be happy to help you install it, and then added that maybe he could take you out for a bite to eat afterward.
- You smiled and agreed, writing your number down for him and saying goodbye as he fought back the urge to jump and holler in delight.
- Pops probably took notice of how happy he was when he returned back to the shop and asked what happened. He just shook his head and said nothing, busying himself with more work as the older man scratched his head.
- So, for your first date, Sparky comes over to your house and installs your motor for you before taking you to a local diner and buying the two of you dinner. The two of you get to know each other, he admits he’s seen you around and thought you were pretty, and you find yourself falling for him even more than you already had.
- The two of you share your first kiss later that night. He starts up your car to see if it works and once it does; perfectly might I add, he hops out to tell you that it’s all set.
- Once he does, you can’t help yourself and you lean up, pressing your lips to his. When you pull away, he asks what “that” was for and you tell him to consider it a thank you. He smiles and tells you that he might need a little more convincing that you really appreciate his work and you laugh before kissing him again.
- I guess you could say that you felt the sparks fly between the two of you.
- Sparky likes showing you off and letting people know that you’re together because to him, you’re the greatest thing since sliced bread. So yes, there’s going to be quite a bit of pda.
- His arm is pretty much always around you; especially if you’re sitting together somewhere.
- Piggyback rides.
- Hugs. Lots and lots of hugs.
- Kisses all over your face. He likes to annoy you with affectionate assaults.
- Swift and passionate kisses. He always smiles when you pull away.
- Hickeys. He’s lowkey proud of them but gets nervous and bashful whenever Pops sees or mentions them.
- Sitting in his lap. He likes it …a lot.
- You’re cuddling him most of the time; whether it be by being the big spoon or by having him lay on top of you with his face in the crook of your neck/laying on his chest.
- He works pretty long hours so he’ll oftentimes come home and just fall asleep on you. Yes, you’d rather hang out and do something with your boyfriend, but you can’t even be annoyed when he’s so tired and leaning against you so sweetly.
- There's quite a few pet names in your relationship. Usually, he’ll call you things like baby, girl, or misso, but on occasion he’ll call you Sheila; mostly when he’s teasing you or saying something without thinking.
- Being picked up in hugs and spun or jumped around with. He likes doing it randomly just to hear you squeal or laugh; and to show off. It’s also just a weird little monkey brain impulse of his.
- He loves your praise. Speed is usually at the forefront of everything, and oftentimes rightfully so, but Sparky deserves to be hyped up too! And he’s always the cutest whenever you do, smiling happily and acting all goofy.
- Play wrestling. He’s pretty awful at it so you’re not really worried about him accidentally hurting you.
- Wiping oil off of his face. You’ll refuse to kiss him until at least half of its off his face.
- Showering together. More than half the time it’s not even sexual. Sure, he smiles when he sees your boobs but he pretty much immediately forgets about them once the hot water hits his aching back.
- Car talk. You’re constantly listening to him ramble and gush about cars and racing and all that jazz.
- Always having your car in tip top shape. You’d think that after a long day of working on cars, he’d be sick of them, but no, he’ll; unnecessarily, spend hours on yours just for the hell of it.
- You in a mechanic suit, looking confused and holding a wrench as he teaches you about your engine is the cutest thing he’s ever seen.
- Going to all of Speeds races with him.
- Comforting him during especially tense and scary moments. Speed gives the entire family a heart attack about twice a week so your boyfriends gonna need a little support.
- “Family” breakfasts. You spend a lot of time with him and the Racer family.
- Celebrating with him after Speed winds a race. You find how excited he is for his best friend to be quite adorable.
- Mutually complaining about your boyfriends car obsessions with Trixie.
- Him reading to you. If he’s ever reading something you’re particularly bored with, all you have to do is tell him that his accent is sexy and he’ll be so flustered that he’ll stop long enough for you to change the subject.
- Going to that little makeout point.
- Sharing milkshakes.
- Arcade dates.
- Drive-in movies.
- Beach dates and other vacation activities. You wind up traveling around quite a bit because of Speed so you get to do some new and exciting things.
- Hanging out outside and watching the sunset together.
- He does whatever you ask him to without even thinking. He’s sort of used to just jumping up and running in circles for Pops so it comes naturally at this point.
- He always insists on carrying your things for you; even if you insist you’re fine.
- Whenever he hears you talk about how much you like him, he always gets this smile on his face and teases you about it; as though you’re not already dating.
- Lots of compliments. He’s very proud of you and he wants you to know it!
- He needs to tell you whatever sweet thing comes to his mind or he will explode. He makes you melt with some of the things that he says to you.
- He’s always there for you. He’s the most supportive person you’ll ever meet.
- He has a habit of saying the wrong thing. Like he’ll be completely truthful in the worst way possible and realize it only when it’s too late. He’s probably accidentally confessed to your father that the two of you have “parked” together and you almost killed him and then yourself.
- Whenever he gets jealous, he’ll usually make a snide remark about the person and then vehemently deny that he’s jealous. It’s easy to tell when he is and you find it highly amusing.
- He’s not the best fighter; you’re probably better at defending yourself than he is, but he does everything he can to protect you.
- The two of you don’t fight a ton but you do get into some fiery arguments. There’s usually a lot of mutual arguing or yelling and snarky comments whenever you do.
- He always apologizes when he’s in the wrong, telling you he’s sorry and, what can he say, he’s an idiot. Once he thinks you feel better about everything, he’ll ask for a hug or kiss and give you a little smile as you fondly roll your eyes.
- He likes telling you that he loves you; he likes letting you know how he feels and hearing you say it back. He literally won’t leave until you say it back to him and will immediately assume you’re mad if you don’t.
- He probably carries an engagement ring around in his pocket like 80% of the time and winds up spontaneously proposing at like the most random time ever. He’s a goofball and he’s in love with you and those are two things that’ll never change.

My mama is the best man in the universe...
For the lovely @marilynmonroefanfics 😍😍👄💕💕
Hope you’ll like it!
TW: Mentions of murder
"I swear to God that this case is gonna make me crazy!"
"Please, Detective, don't call out my father!"
Chloe pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed: currently, she and Lucifer worked on a murder case.
The victims, all members of a scientific research group, were burned to death, but it looked like the burning came from inside the bodies. An element that puzzles the detective, who sighed in defeat:
"Okay, so... What do you think about this case?"
"Mmmh... For sure, a mere human cannot do that. Unless he would be able to force his victims to swallow some combustible, strike a match, and... Burn baby, burn!"
"Very funny, Lucifer!"
"Pleasure's mine, dear Chloe!" retorted the demon with a seductive wink.
The detective rolled her eyes but can't help smiling at his antics: she knew he was only trying to light up her mood.
She reported her attention to the investigation file and said:
"According to our dear Ella, not a single trace of fuel was found in the victims' bodies. But how the killer can burn his victims to death?"
"Do you know what it means?"
"I'm afraid that we are dealing with a new case of a supernatural arsonist creature!" sighed the woman.
"I'm sorry to tell you that, but you're right!" answered the Devil with a comforting pat on her shoulder.
"After what I've seen before, nothing could surprise me anymore!"
"Well, you got the point!"
"Do you have an idea which creature can do that?"
Lucifer frowned, puzzled.
"It might be surprising, but this time, I don't know who can be the potential guilty!"
"I wish I know someone who can help us because this case is getting on my nerves!"
The fallen angel cogitated a long time before he exclaimed:
"Eureka! I know someone who can help us!"
"Really? Thank you! But who is this person?"
"Of course, my Mama!"
When she heard those words, Chloe quivered:
"What? You want to call your mother? After all the mess she did with you? She badly hurt you, remember..."
Lucifer bit his lip:
"Well, I was not talking about my birth mother. I explain myself. You see, Chloe, after my parents get separated, our mother rejected us. My siblings and I were raised by another person. He made my old man happy, and he treated us as if we were his own children."
The demon fondly smiled.
"He is very dear to me..."
"I can see it... Wait a minute: you said "he" are you sure you did not make a mistake?"
"No, you heard well: I was raised by two men!"
"Wait for a second... Do you just say that God is gay?"
"Bisexual would be more appropriate!"
Chloe shrugged.
"Well, after all I've been through since we met, I think that's not a big deal. Besides, if you say that your dad can help us, it suits me!"
She noticed how Lucifer seemed more relaxed after her statement.
"I'm happy to see that you're always open-minded!"
"You're welcome. Now, call your dad! We have a case to solve!"
"At your orders!" smirked the demon as he dialed the man who raised him.
Later, at Lucifer's penthouse.
Sitting on the comfortable couch, Chloe and Trixie watched with amusement Lucifer running around his penthouse, checking every room. Mazikeen, desperate by her boss's behavior, shook her head.
"Right, I put the whiskey on the table, and his favorite meals are here too... Where do I put the cake?"
"In the fridge, Lucifer!" answered Trixie, who chuckled.
"Ah yes: it is there!"
"Come on, Lucifer: it's your dad, not the Pope!" gently joked Chloe.
"I don't appreciate the mockery, Detective Decker!" growled Lucifer as he checked himself in the mirror.
"Don't take it personally, Chloe: he always gets stressed when it comes to his other father! He wants to be a good son with him," reassured Mazikeen.
"You know his other father?" asked the blonde woman.
"Indeed, yes. Lucifer's father number two is Petraeus, or Peter if you want, and he is a powerful being!"
"He is God's companion, so I think he might be as powerful as Him!"
"You're right. But I'm sure you're going to appreciate Petraeus. He is a brilliant man, you know. He is also smart and absolutely charming!"
"Well, I trust you."
"You can: he is more approachable than God!"
Suddenly, they heard a knock on the door. Lucifer stopped walking and muttered:
"Oh, hell! It's him!"
"Stop being alarmed: it's just your father! You know what? I'll open the door before you freak out in front of your dad!" smirked Mazi, who got up and walked at the door.
She opened the door and saw a dark-haired man with black eyes and fair skin. Dressed in an elegant white suit, the man smiled:
"Good evening, Mazikeen. It's been a long time."
"It's a pleasure to see you again, Master Petraeus."
"Don't be so formal! You can call me Peter, you know?"
"Sorry, a force of habit. But please, come in!"
Petraeus stepped in and said:
"Good evening, everyone!"
Lucifer rushed towards his father with open arms:
"Good evening, Papa!"
"My sweet demon!" beamed Petraeus as he held his son close to him.
Chloe smiled at the sight of her lover: she never saw Lucifer acting like that with other members of his holy family. He appeared to be close to his father.
Meanwhile, Petraeus stepped aside and looked at his son:
"Look at you, boy: handsome as always!"
"I had a good teacher!"
"Don't be so flattering!"
He glanced at Chloe and Trixie with a charming smile.
"Are these beautiful ladies the famous Chloe and Trixie you told me about?"
"Yes, of course: Papa, this is Detective Chloe Decker and her daughter, Beatriz Espinoza, aka Trixie!"
"Please to meet you, Sir Petraeus!" smiled Chloe as she shook hands with the guest.
"The pleasure is mine, dear Chloe. And don't worry: you can call me Peter!"
"If you allow me..." smirked Chloe.
Trixie jumped on her feet and held out her hand with a wide grin on her face.
"Hello, Peter! I'm Trixie! Please to meet you!"
"What a lively young lady! Nice to meet you too!" laughed Peter.
After he finished his greetings, he looked at the place with impressed eyes.
"You find yourself a comfortable place to live, my dear son. I see you accommodate it at your image!"
"Listen, if the Old Man made Earth at his image, why can't I do the same with my house?"
"Cheeky as always, aren't you?" grinned Peter.
"You know Papa: I've always been the rebellious one among your children!"
"I have noticed..."
The celestial spirit stopped himself as he remarked the table set with chic crockery and delicious courses.
"Oh, Lucifer: you should not have! It was not necessary to turn your dining room into Versailles' Hall of Mirrors!"
"Only the best for you, Papa: come on, sit down! Dinner's ready!"
The evening went smooth, and Chloe admitted that Mazikeen was utterly right about Peter. He was not only good-looking and kind but also intellectual - without being conceited. He had so many stories about historical figures to tell, which amazed Trixie.
"So you met all those people? That's soooo cool!" happily squealed the young girl.
"I'm glad that you liked my anecdotes, Trixie. You know that some of them were Lucifer's bedtime stories when he was your age?"
"Oh no, Dad!" groaned Lucifer, flustered.
"What? There is nothing to be ashamed of, sweets!"
Chloe grinned as she saw her boyfriend confused by some childhood memories. But she discerned in his eyes all the adoration and filial love he had for Petraeus, and she could swear he never looked at God like this...
Time went by, and it was past midnight when Trixie had to go to bed after she nearly fell asleep on the table. Once the young girl settled in a bedroom, the adults talked about the case:
"So, my dear son, you need my help if I understand well?"
"Yes. Chloe and I are working on a difficult case, and we think your knowledge would be valuable!"
"Alright, tell me more about this problem!"
"Everything we've found so far is in this folder!" explained Chloe as she handed a file to Peter.
Petraeus opened it and was taken aback by the horrendous pictures of burned bodies.
"Oh, dear! What a frightful view!"
"Yes, I agree. All the victims belonged to a scientific research group, and they were burnt to death."
"I see it. But what makes you think that you need my help?"
"Well, Papa, this is where the mystery begins. The coroner confirmed that the burn comes from the inside of the bodies. But there is not a trace of fuel! So, we come to the conclusion that a creature killed those people!"
Peter nodded.
"I understand now... Well, from what I can see, it looks like an igniting spell, which implies that the unsub is a fire-element being. However, I cannot determine if it belongs to Biblical, Coranic, Jewish, Buddhist, or pagan mythology."
"If you want, you can accompany us to the Police Department tomorrow. I'm sure Ella, our dear coroner, would accept to show us the three last victims!"
"Thank you for your kind invitation, Chloe. It's a good idea!"
The young woman thanked him before yawning:
"Sorry if I seem impolite, but I have to leave you. This day was a complete mess, and I need to sleep... And I'm sure you had a lot of time to catch up!"
"Go ahead, I'll join you later!" smiled Lucifer.
"Okay. Good night, Peter!"
"Have a nice night!" answered the celestial spirit.
As the detective left the dining room, Peter turned to his son and said:
"She is really exquisite, Lucifer! You rightly choose your soulmate!"
"Well, I must admit it: I'm lucky that she accepted me in her life. Chloe is the most amazing woman I ever met!"
Peter tenderly smiled at Lucifer:
"Seeing you so happy is a blessing for me! I was so worried that your banishment would put you down..."
The fallen angel saw a spark of sadness clouding his Papa's eyes.
"Papa, are you alright?"
"Sorry, it's just that... I feel so terrible not being able to visit you on Earth. But your father did not allow me to do so..."
He sadly sighed
"You had no idea how many times we argued about it. I told him that his punishment was above cruelty, and he did not even try to understand why you stood up against his authority!"
"I figure that he told you that you were too kind with me!"
"You know him well... Of course, I cannot disobey him, so I did not come visiting you either in Hell or Earth. But I send you some signs from me... just to tell you that you're not alone, and I'll always love you, no matter what happens!"
Touched by his father's sadness, the demon reached his father's hand and gently held it.
"Papa, I already knew it. You don't have to feel guilty: nothing is your fault. I knew about your messages: I kept them in a small box, and when I feel distressed, I read them, and it cheers me up. You always cared about my siblings and me more than our mother. I'll always be grateful to have you as my Papa."
Relief spread through Peter as he smiled:
"Thank you, son."
Lucifer glanced at the clock and stated:
"Well, time runs fast, and you maybe want to get some rest..."
"Good idea: all those emotions dried me out."
The King of Hell led his dad to the guest room.
"Here's your bed for the night! You have your own bathroom on the right with all the comfort!"
"I'll manage for tonight... Thank you, Lucifer!"
"You're welcome, dad. Good night!"
Peter leaned close to his son and kissed his forehead:
"Good night, my little demon!"
As he came back to his bedroom, Lucifer felt his heart happily swelling. He ached for the love of his parents for a long time, and he was more than happy to meet his Papa again.
Lucifer and his siblings were forever grateful to Petraeus for bringing joy back in their Holy Father's heart and loving them as his own offspring.
When he laid down next to Chloe, who was already asleep, the demon felt like his life on Earth was kind of complete...
The following day.
After bringing Trixie back to her home, Chloe drove to the L.A.P.D with Lucifer and Petraeus.
"Los Angeles is a quite unusual place. Even if it had a lot of lovely surroundings, I'm not fond of its nightlife. But I can understand why you choose to live here, my Lightbringer!" stated the celestial spirit.
"What can I say? I love the atmosphere of Los Angeles at night, and my nightclub is among the most popular of the city!" smirked Lucifer.
"How boastful you are!" gently mocked Chloe.
"Oh, honey, why do you have to hurt me?" pouted Lucifer while making puppy eyes.
"Because she knows you well, darling!" chuckled Peter.
A few minutes later, they arrived at the Police Department and headed to the forensic lab. When they entered the lab, Ella was already there, checking the last victim's remains.
"Good morning, Ella!"
The coroner rose her head and greeted her colleagues with a warm smile.
"Hiya, guys! How are you?"
"We're fine, thanks. Still working on the last victim?"
"Unfortunately: I scanned every ash, every piece of flesh, but I can't find any bloody clue! The only thing I found so far are traces of bindings on their wrists and ankles!"
She noticed Peter's presence.
"May I know the name of our dashing visitor?"
"Where are my manners? My name is Petraeus, but you can call me Peter."
"Nice to meet you, Peter. And you are...?"
"Ah yes: I'm Lucifer's dad."
Ella frowned, puzzled.
"But I thought Lucifer's father is God!"
"Well, I'm his other dad..."
When she put all the pieces together, she jumped back and yelped.
"HOLY COW! DOES IT MEAN THAT GOD IS GAY?"
"Bisexual, precisely. And don't worry, I had quite the same reaction as you when Lucifer told me!" explained Chloe.
Ella ran her hand through her black hair.
"Sorry if I appear rude, but it's a lot to handle in one day, and this is not what I was taught!"
"Don't worry, I understand!" reassured Peter.
"Auntie Rosalia won't ever believe it if I told her... Well, I'm pleased to meet another member of your family, Lucifer, but can you tell why your number 2 father is doing here?"
"My dear Miss Lopez, my Papa came to helping us in this murder case!"
"Really?"
"Indeed, my son told me that you were struggling with those killings!"
"Struggling is an understatement. Would you like to check on the body I'm currently working on?"
"Well, if you allow me, I accept with pleasure!"
Ella gestured for him to come closer to inspect the remains.
He inclined and carefully looked at the corpse. After his observation, he muttered:
"I can confirm that your murderer is a supernatural creature!"
"Oh no! That's what I feared!" sighed Chloe as she facepalmed.
"And what else can you tell us about it?" asked Ella.
"That it is from another mythology: so, it's not a Biblical demon who is causing this tragedy. I hesitate between a European creature and a Middle Eastern spirit."
At the same time, Dan Espinoza made his entrance into the lab:
"Hello, Ella! Anything new about..."
He stopped in his tracks when he noticed the presence of Lucifer and Chloe:
"Chloe, Lucifer..."
"Detective Douchebag..." gritted the demon.
Dan turned his head and remarked Peter near the body:
"Ella, are you mad? Why are you letting a civilian looking at the body?"
"Because, sir, I offered my help to your department." calmly explained the celestial being.
Espinoza asked his ex wife:
"Who's this lad?"
"You better show respect to my..." growled Lucifer, but his father stopped him.
"It's okay, Lucifer: I'll handle it!"
He stepped towards Dan and asked:
"Can I know your name, detective?"
"I'm Detective-Sergeant Daniel Espinoza."
"Espinoza? Oh, you must be Trixie's father: she is a wonderful child, you know. You are lucky to have her!" genuinely said Peter.
"Er, thanks... But how do you know her?"
"Because she and I met him last night at Lucifer's place!" explained Chloe.
"Chlo, you can't let someone you don't know near to our daughter!"
"But I'm not some creepy stranger, you know. Let me introduce myself: I'm Petraeus, or Peter if you prefer my human name. I am Lucifer's father... And by the way, I am God's husband!"
A silence followed this announcement before Dan yelled:
"WHAT THE FUCK? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? God cannot be gay: it's impossible! It's not written in the Bible!"
"But humankind does not know all about God, right? And I reassure you: it's not a witticism, but the truth!"
"But still: God cannot be with a man!"
"Are you just confessing your homophobia, Detective Douchebag?" sneered Lucifer.
"You, go to Hell!"
"Been there already. King of Hell, remember?"
"Well, just get back and don't piss me off!"
"Stop insulting my son! As for my marriage with God, I can assure you that it's true: we had a beautiful and sincere relationship for billions of years!"
"But I never heard about you!"
"I trust you: I prefer being discreet. But I'm sure you know my other name..."
"Your other name?" asked Dan, bewildered.
"Does your dad had another name?" demanded Chloe to Lucifer.
"I don't remember it..." answered Lucifer, confused.
At the same time, Espinoza urged Peter to tell him:
"And what is your other name?"
"Oh, I am sure you know it... You may also know me as Virgin Mary!"
All stood astounded by the statement... until Dan fainted, unable to handle it anymore.
"Woah! That was a shock, for sure!" muttered Chloe.
"Is he still alive?" inquired Ella.
"I don't know, and I don't really care!" scoffed Lucifer.
As for Peter, he cannot help but giggle.
"That's what I expected! This joke works every time!"
"I wonder where does Lucifer takes his mocking personality..." smirked Detective Decker.
"I had a good teacher!" answered the fallen angel.
"See, Chloe: this is how I handle rude people! And I must add that my dearest husband loves my sense of humor!"
"What can I say? You're the best man in the universe, Papa!"
"Thank you, my little flame! Now, let's go back to work, shall we?"
The quatuor worked all day to find answers to this tricky case. Thanks to their teamwork, they discovered that the scientific team went to Saudi Arabia three months ago and were in the middle of a controversial story.
Indeed, they were blamed for the accidental destruction of an old temple dedicated to the jinni. And to add more fuel to the fire, the wreck caused severe injuries to a native teenage boy named Yassin. They excused themselves for the damages and never paid for their responsibilities. Moreover, they fled back to the United States before any juridical process started.
When they learned that story, Chloe was appalled, to say the least:
"How could they act like cowards?"
"Well, they were more concerned about their careers than a human life! But it does not mean that I approve their behaviors!" stated Lucifer.
"Moreover, the young boy's family was too poor to sue the team! They gave up in exchange for some money! Some people are so heartless..." grunted Ella.
"And so, we cannot suspect them to carry out their revenge against those who wronged them: first of all, because Yassin is in a comatose state. Secondly, his family does not have enough financial resources to travel from their country to Los Angeles. And thirdly, we know that it's a supernatural creature who murdered some members of the scientific team!" itemized Peter.
"Do you think a jinn could be responsible?" asked Ella.
"There is a huge probability that a jinn can be responsible for all the murders. Furthermore, they perfectly control natural elements, and they are extremely ferocious towards those who offend them!"
Chloe looked at her watch and suggested:
"Okay, guys: what if we continue our work at my place? You are my guests!"
"With great pleasure, Chloe! I wonder where do you live?"
"Somewhere less luxurious than Lucifer's penthouse!"
"Don't belittle yourself, love. Your home is a nice place, too."
Later in the evening, at Chloe's home.
Once settled at Chloe's place, the four investigators were brainstorming with the help of Mazikeen, who came empty-handed from her research.
"But how a Saudi jinn can go to Los Angeles? I mean, there are two continents and an ocean between the two!" grumbled Ella, who scratched her head, frustrated.
"That's an excellent question... I'm not familiar with the Arabic magical world, much to my chagrin!" sighed Lucifer.
Trixie, who laid on the sofa, looked at the ceiling, a slight frown on her face. She really wanted to help her mum, but she did not know how... until an idea popped into her mind.
"Mum..."
"What, Trixie?"
"I wonder... What if the boy's family appealed to a jinn to avenge him? It can explain how the jinn arrives here..."
The five adults looked at each other with amazement: they obviously did not think about this possibility!
"Of course! How can I forget this?" exclaimed Lucifer.
"By answering to their prayers, he would not only avenge the boy but also make the scientists pay for the destruction of his temple!" concluded Ella.
"That's right, but I have to mention something: jinn need a human vessel to travel such a long distance. Like this, those spirits can save their energy and powers!" described Peter.
"It can be everyone else! How can we unmask him?" asked Trixie.
"Don't worry about it: I would recognize him without a doubt!"
"Okay, but now we had to find him before he exterminates the remaining members of the scientific team!" said Mazikeen.
Suddenly, Chloe's phone rang.
"Hello?"
**"Chloe? It's Dan!"**
"I'm listening..."
**"It's about the case you work on... I have some news for you!"**
"Go ahead!"
**"First of all, we had a janitor from the lab who said that he remembered seeing someone roaming near the building many times. He cannot give us a name, but the description matches with Terry Bradford, an ex-convict. He was often arrested for acts of violence and was among the suspects of a drug dealer's murder case."**
"Uh, interesting. What else?"
**"I don't think you're ready for this one, but do you remember the boy who was injured by the scientists in Saudi Arabia?"**
"Of course, why?"
**"Well, my contact in the Saudi embassy told me that Yassin was declared missing for one and a half weeks."**
"MISSING?" exclaimed Peter, Lucifer, Trixie, Ella, and Mazikeen.
"But that's impossible! He is in a coma!"
**"He is supposed to, but the nurses found his bed empty. Since then, they searched him everywhere but in vain!"**
"Oh, I feel that I'm going crazy. Do you have anything else?"
**"No, except that I'm searching for Bradford: his probation agent did not see him for several days!**"
"Okay, I got it: be careful!"
**"Don't worry: I'll manage, as always! Good luck!"**
After she hung up, Chloe asked:
"Have you heard the news?"
"Yes, and it turns this investigation into a brain-teaser! Now, we had another suspect!" sighed Ella.
Peter turned to his son and asked:
"Do you have any idea about it, son?"
"I'm trying to put the pieces together, but it's more complicated than I thought..."
Suddenly, the King of Hell had an eye-opener.
"Of course! How I did not think about it before?"
"What do you mean?"
"Tell me if I'm wrong, Papa, but jinns can manipulate people too, right?"
"Of course."
"So, he must have taken possession of Yassin's body, traveled from Saudi Arabia, and hypnotized Bradford, forcing him to kidnap the scientists!"
"This is a good analysis, son! You'll never cease to impress me!" fondly smiled Peter.
"Okay, so we must find the jinn and Bradford before they kill another victim. But, where can we find them?"
"They need an isolated place to accomplish their crimes..."
"I know! The former industrial site near the docks! It's abandoned for years!" shrieked Ella.
"Alright, let's check there! We'll probably have answers!" declared Lucifer, who got from his seat.
"I'm coming with you!" shouted Trixie, but her mother stopped her.
"Not so fast, young lady! You stay here: it's too dangerous!"
"Mommy, we live with Satan himself: there is no danger!" stated the young girl.
"She can come with me: I promise to look after her as if she was the apple of my eyes !" assured Peter.
"Trust my Papa, Chloe: the last one who dared scared his children is still traumatized by his anger!" affirmed the fallen angel.
"I confirm: he is as scary as God!" nodded Mazikeen.
"If you say so... Okay, let's go: we don't have time to lose!"
Soon after, the team drove to the former industrial site, hoping to prevent another murder.
"I never handle a jinn, so I don' know what to do!" admitted Chloe.
"Me neither, and I don't know Koran!" added Ella.
"Don't worry about the jinn, and focus on Bradford! Lucifer, Mazikeen, and I will take care of the jinn!"
"Are you going to hurt him? What if you hurt the boy instead?" asked Trixie, worried.
"You don't have to worry, Trixie: we'll handle it!" smiled Mazikeen.
A few minutes later, they arrived at their destination. Then, they wandered through the buildings, searching for the jinn.
"Do you see anything?" asked Ella.
"Not yet, but I'm sure we're not far from them!" mumbled Lucifer.
As they progressed, they bumped into Dan.
"Dan? What are you doing here?" whispered Chloe.
"I can ask you the same... And why Trixie is here?"
"Because my dad wanted so, and now, shut up and be useful for once in your stupid life!" snarled Lucifer.
Peter gently patted his shoulder.
"Calm down, son: it's okay! Now, let's go! I feel that they are not far from here!"
The group silently walked until they heard a painful scream.
"Oh, I hope we're not too late!"
"The scream comes from this building! Let's go!" said Chloe.
They came closer to the building and watched through a hole in the wall the remaining scientists, hanged by the arms at a butcher's hook. Circling near them, a tall blonde muscular man held a baseball bat in his hand, while an Arab teenage boy stood in front of them, a stern look on his face.
"We found them! It looks like the jinn wants to play with them before the fatal blow!" uttered Ella.
"We need to intervene before he burns someone else!" rustled Dan as he pulled his gun out of its holder.
"Who do you think you are? John Wayne? Can't you just think before you act, idiot?" snapped Lucifer.
"Shh, low your voice! If they heard us, we're doomed!" whined Trixie.
Meanwhile, the scientists begged for their lives.
"Please, don't kill us! We'll do anything you want!" pleaded a dark-haired man.
"SILENCE! All of you don't deserve my mercy, filthy humans!" growled Yassin with an unusual booming voice.
For sure, this voice did not belong to a fourteen years old young man.
"The power of his voice... It's not a common jinn we deal with: I'm sure it's a jinn-king!" muttered Peter.
"A jinn-king?" asked Dan.
"Yes, I'm afraid so... What is the plan?"
"We'll follow your idea: Dan, Ella, and I, we deal with Bradford. As for you, Mazikeen, and Lucifer, you focus on the jinn!" declared Chloe.
"It's good for me!"
The team split into two groups and prepared to intervene as the jinn was about to slay another victim.
"How could you be so stupid? Didn't you think you could run away from your crimes without facing the consequences?"
"Please, have mercy!" cried his soon-to-be victim.
"You begged me to have mercy? Did you show any compassion for the boy you harmed? None of you ever show commiseration for him!"
Suddenly, he was interrupted by the entrance of the team.
"Nobody move! Time to stop the fire!" ordered Dan as he aimed his gun at Yassin.
The possessed boy gave him an arrogant smile:
"Look who we got here! You must be stupid or too proud to dare to threaten a jinn, Daniel Espinoza!"
"How do you know my name?" asked the latter, confused.
"He is a spiritual being, Dan: it explains how he knows you!" told Mazikeen.
"Indeed, Mazikeen of the Lilim. I see that you don't lose your strength!"
"Do you want a demonstration?"
"No, I'd rather not."
He turned to Lucifer and smirked:
"What a surprise! I do not expect the King of Hell among us tonight! Nice to meet you, Lucifer Morningstar! Or should I say, Samael the Lightbringer? The fallen one?"
"Thank you for revealing my CV, mister King-Jinn! But the manners command to tell us your name!" snickered Lucifer.
"Try to guess!" mocked the jinn.
Peter stepped between his son and the jinn and said:
"I think I know who you are, King-Jinn Murrah Al-Abyad! Or should I say King-Jinn Al-Abyad, the White Demon?"
"Oh, interesting! I certainly did not foresee such prestigious guests!"
"What if you show your true form? I am not comfortable speaking with a possessed child!"
"As you wish!"
In front of the humans' bewildered eyes appeared a handsome brown-haired man. His ivory skin contrasted with his ebony eyes.
He was dressed in a sumptuous Oriental outfit: a dark red sleeveless vest that revealed a toned chest and a pair of crimson pants with embroidered flames. He wore golden bracelets around his wrists and ankles, plus a golden circlet with a shining ruby on his head.
"Undoubtedly, he is a King-Jinn!" muttered Trixie, who was hiding behind Lucifer.
"Indeed, urchin. And he loves to show off!" scoffed the demon.
Meantime, Peter and Al-Abyad talked:
"So, I finally meet God's beloved spouse, Petraeus the Benevolent! I've heard a lot about you, but I admit that I never saw your face until tonight!"
"Do I disappoint your expectations?"
"Not even the slightest. If truth be told, I expect Goddess's successor to be as powerful as she was! That said, no creature anticipates the Almighty falling in love with a man, as it is supposed to be a sin!"
Peter rolled his eyes:
"Thank you, I have noticed! But only humans said that, not my husband! But, you might guess that we're not here to talk about my marriage!"
"I figured it out: you're here to obstruct my punishment against those maggots!"
The celestial spirit nodded.
"I appreciate your concern about them, but you better mind your own business: I am offended, so they have to pay the price!"
"I got it: it was your temple which gets destroyed!" said Chloe.
"You're right, Miss Chloe Decker. But I assure you that I would have done little more than tormenting them if they did not act like cowards!"
The jinn furiously glanced at the scientists who were shivering with fear.
"But no... They wounded a child and made a family suffering because of their greed! You would understand that I cannot let this misdemeanor pass!"
"I understand what you mean, and I agree that they deserve a sentence for their misdeed. But I can't let you kill those humans like that: it's not fair!"
The jinn roared.
"You think THIS is not fair? But I'm doing what your so-called almighty husband should have done earlier instead of being passive. Self-judgment? Ah! What a pathetic excuse he hides behind!"
Trixie walked near the jinn and tried to calm him:
"Mister King-Jinn, I think Peter tries to tell you that there is no need to burn people alive!"
"NO TRIXIE, STAY AWAY FROM HIM!" yelled Dan, but Bradford stood in his way and tried to hit him.
"Back off, you jerk!" yelled Chloe, who kicked the thug in the head, knocking him out.
As for the jinn, his expression softened when he saw the young girl talking to him.
"What do you mean, Beatrix?"
"I mean... You did not need to kill people to punish them. There are different ways. I know you only did that for helping a young boy, and I'm sure your people are grateful to have you as a protector. But please, stop! I promise that my mama would punish them for what they did... And you can count on her for that!"
"My little monkey!" smiled Chloe.
Peter stepped near Trixie and added:
"You know children: they cannot lie."
Al-Abyad sighed.
"I know, but... No one would dare lay their hands on a child without suffering my wrath!"
"I know what you mean. I would be enraged to the core if anyone ever threatens my children. I know we are not linked by blood, but I love them like my own, and I would do anything to punish the culprit who made them miserable! You can ask Astaroth: now, he will think twice before considering attacking Azrael again."
He put his hand on the jinn's shoulder.
"End your crusade of anger, and let us handle this case. I swear they will face justice!"
Al-Abyad stayed silent for a long time, lost in his thoughts: he craved so much making those criminals enduring torments for their negligence. Nevertheless, he knew Petraeus's reputation as a dutiful man, and the jinn knew that if he said anything, he would keep his word.
Sighing, he conceded:
"Fine, you won! I'll let you deal with those pathetic creatures. But you better keep your promise, or I'll come back to finish my work!"
"Don't worry, I save a special spot for them in my kingdom!" sadistically smirked Lucifer, his eyes glowing red.
Satisfied by the answer, the jinn declared:
"Then, I shall go!"
"Wait, mister Al-Abyad!" exclaimed Trixie.
"What is it, Beatrix?"
"What about Yassin? Will he be alright?"
A small smile appeared on the jinn's face.
"Have no fear for him, little one. Yassin would be fine... and that's why I leave him to you: I want him to see that you will help him!"
"Understood."
"Very well. Goodbye, and may fate be kind to you!"
And he disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
"Well, that was an unusual encounter!" sighed Ella.
"Unusual? You mean unbelievable? Damn it, Ella: we met a jinn! A creature that only exists in fairytales!" squealed Dan.
"I'm sure Al-Abyad would be delighted to hear that!" sneered Lucifer.
At the same time, Yassin slowly opened his eyes. Looking at his surroundings, he realized that he was no longer at home and started panicking:
"'ayn 'anaa? limadha 'iinaa huna? 'ayn waliday?" (Where am I? Why am I here? Where are my parents?)
Peter hurried and held the young boy in his arms, one of his hands gently cradling Yassin's head.
"Everything is okay, Yassin. Nobody is going to hurt you, I promise."
The teenager sobbed:
"'amiy ... 'urid 'an 'araa 'ami!" (Mum... I want to see my mother!)
Gently wiping away the tears that rolled down Yassin's cheeks, the celestial spirit soothed the young boy:
"Shh, don't cry. You will see your mother soon. I'll stay here with you, I promise!"
"I am here, too!" added Trixie, who sat near Yassin and held his hand in comfort.
When he saw this scene, it reminded Lucifer of painful memories: he saw himself as a young child, weeping after his mother rejected him for the umptieth time.
He also remembered the warm embrace of Peter, who tried to comfort him. He heard his voice, calm and loving, who repeated that he will always be there for him and he'll always love him.
Coming close to her boyfriend, Chloe asked:
"Are you okay?"
The demon put himself together and said:
"Yes, absolutely."
"You seemed... touched."
Lucifer sighed:
"Maybe because... I remembered why my dad made the right choice, billions of years ago!"
Puzzled, Chloe turned and saw her daughter and Peter, comforting Yassin as paramedics checked on him.
She smiled:
"I see what you mean... Your father is a great person."
"Yes, indeed. My mama is the best man in the universe, and I won't tell otherwise!"
A few days later.
The group was gathered at Chloe's home to celebrate their success. Bradford was put in jail for his collusion in the murders. The remaining teammates of the research group were complied to pay damages to Yassin.
Speaking of the young boy, he flew back to Saudi Arabia, where he was warmly welcomed by his family and many people. He was even received by the royal family!
"It ended well, at least! I'm so happy to get some rest!" smiled Ella, sipping her glass of soda.
"So am I! But I'm sure we would never find out without Peter's help!" added Chloe.
"Don't depreciate your work! You did an amazing job, and I only contributed to help you!" humbly answered Peter.
"You are too cool! And charismatic!" beamed Trixie.
"Thank you, my dear!"
Suddenly, a small ball of light appeared in the room. It flew through the room before stopping in front of Peter. Then, it puts a piece of paper in his hand before disappearing.
"What was that?" asked Dan, utterly amazed.
"Let's see..." muttered Peter, who unfolded the note and read the following message:
Come back to me, my love. I need your presence by my side as huge as your absence makes my heart ache for you. Eternally yours. Your devoted husband.
"It looks like someone misses you!" smirked Mazikeen.
"What can I say? He is lost without me!" laughed Peter.
"Does it mean you have to leave?" pouted Trixie.
"Unfortunately, yes. But I promise to come here as soon as I can!"
He greeted the others goodbye before holding his son:
"Take care of you, my little demon!"
"Don't worry, Papa: I'll be careful!"
As he waved goodbye, the celestial spirit disappeared in a flash of light.
Even if he wished to spend more time with his father, Lucifer knew that Petraeus would come back one day or another. And this day, he would welcome him with open arms, like a good son...

Galactica, Chapter 71 (Group Fic) - TheDane/Veronica
A/N: Fun fact: this rewrite is now the second-longest fic in the Drace Race RPF section of AO3. (Second only to the original story, lol.) So if you’re looking for a lot of content…we’ve got you. ;) Click here if you’re looking for previous chapters (or here if you’d rather read on AO3). 💫
Previously: Violet revealed her estranged relationship with her family to Sutan, and Courtney struggled to live up to Miss Fame’s demands.
This Chapter: Some uncharacteristic vulnerability from Violet, Met Gala meetings and morning television.
***
“Do you want more marshmallows?”
“I always want more marshmallows.”
Katya grinned as she got up from the kitchen table, grabbing Trixie’s mug to top them both up. They were decorating gingerbread men, Katya pulling them from the oven last night. Trixie was doing clothes, drawing in the lines and putting details on them, one of his favorite jobs.
It was a tradition of theirs, spending the Sunday before Christmas in their pajamas, preparing cookies and watching Home Alone, the leftover icing always ending up in the bedroom for some sticky afternoon fun.
***
“Aaaand release...”
“Oh god,” Sutan groaned, rolling onto his back and spreading out like a starfish. “I’m dead.”
When he had jokingly asked if he could join Violet for her yoga session, he hadn’t figured she’d say yes, and he definitely hadn’t expected that it’d be this hard, those last few breaths of extended child’s pose essentially torture where he could feel his bones bend and creak.
“Stop being so dramatic,” Violet grinned, his girlfriend sitting back on her knee, the leg with her cast spread out to the side. “We only did 40 minutes.”
“You’re not even sweating.” Sutan looked at her, Violet’s hair in a high ponytail, the Sunday look of one of his shirts and a sports bra quickly becoming a fave.
“Some of us remember to do more than weights and cardio, Mr. Amrull.”
“I’m texting my trainer right now,” Sutan reached over his head, grabbing his phone that he had left on the floor next to their mats, Violet giggling as she laid down next to him, putting her head on his shoulder.
“There,” Sutan pressed send, his trainer probably falling off of his chair when he read the message, Sutan always attempting to get away with the bare minimum when it came to exercise, but he refused to be humiliated by being unable to reach his toes.
He was just about to put his phone down, when Violet reached up and tapped the screen, his front camera opening up, both of them in frame as they were lying on the floor.
“What are you doing?”
“Taking a picture?” Violet smiled, her sarcastic tone never wavering. “To document the moment.”
Sutan looked at the screen. It was so incredibly tempting to say yes, to keep this moment in the private password protected collection that had steadily grown since Thanksgiving, Violet really and truly trying to let him take pictures, but he couldn’t say yes, not when he knew why she was so confident.
“And can I post it?”
“Post it?” Violet raised an eyebrow, sitting up on her elbows. “Why? Isn’t your hair...?”
“A mess?” Sutan didn’t want to smile, but it was impossible not to, Violet knowing him way too well if she had already figured out that he was sometimes embarrassingly vain about his hairstyle, the mess on his head looking like he had been fucking for an hour. “Yes, but I still want to post it.”
“I-” Violet had pulled away completely now, not a single trace of the sweetness left. “No.”
“Violet,” Sutan sat up as well, putting his phone down, “I know you hate social media, but you’re my girlfriend, and I don’t think what I ask for is unreasonable-”
“Sutan. Please” Violet grabbed her mat and rolled it together in an attempt to avoid him. “I said no.”
“And I’m pushing because I don’t understand.” Sutan could feel the annoyance build, the hurt and the rejection. It stung every single time Violet denied him, hurt every time she neglected what they had.
“I’m not saying we have to announce it with a workout selfie,” Sutan hated that they were fighting, but he couldn’t help himself, “but I want to tell the world that we’re together.”
“And I don’t-” Violet looked at him, her brown eyes filled with hurt. “If the world knows, they know, and I don’t want them to know where I am or what I’m doing.”
There it was. The they, the them, the family from Atlanta that was haunting his girlfriend's life like a shadow that had slowly started to creep into his too.
“Violet, I hate to be the one to tell you,” Sutan didn’t touch her, simply putting his hand down on the floor next to hers, telling her that he was there. “But the internet exists. If they have your name, they can find you, no matter what you do to hide.”
“Have you taken a moment to consider that they might not have that?”
Sutan paused, Violet’s words like a bomb.
“... What?”
Did her family not have her name? It was true that Violet Chachki barely got any hits on google, that it was Parson’s assignments and internships that popped up, the Galactica employee directory right at the top, but Sutan had never considered that possibility, had never even toyed with it.
“This wasn’t how I planned on telling you. Actually, I probably wasn’t counting on telling you at all, but I’m not…” Violet was fiddling with the tiniest hole in her yoga mat, her fingers tugging on the foam. “I wasn’t born Violet. Wasn’t even born a Chachki. Hasn’t it ever seemed weird to you that my last name literally means trinket?”
“It does?”
“Mmh,” Violet smiled, the same heavy sadness he had seen in the hospital in her eyes. “I needed to not be… Blair anymore.”
“Blair?”
“Yes,” Violet nodded. “Blair Dardo. It was my birth name. I never liked it, and I changed it the moment I turned 18, left it behind the second I could. That’s why I can’t,” Violet gestured vaguely to Sutan’s phone. “Changing it meant that they can’t, that they can’t find me, and I-”
Sutan didn’t know what to say, but it felt like he had just been given another puzzle piece in the mystery that was his girlfriend.
“I’m sorry.”
Violet’s head snapped to attention, her eyes widening in confusion. “...What?”
“I’m sorry.” Sutan said it again, making sure he put his genuine emotion behind the words. “I should have realized that you weren’t saying no to be difficult, and yet I kept pushing.”
“Sutan-” Violet still looked confused and a little suspicious, like she didn’t really understand what he was doing. “You don’t have to-”
“No but I do.” Sutan smiled. “I get it now, and I’m sorry, but next time you have a deep dark secret, maybe you could just tell me instead of this charade-”
Sutan was cut off as Violet threw herself in his arms, knocking him down on the floor and kissing him like her life depended on it, gratitude rolling off of her in waves.
***
“Raja?”
Alyssa held out the plate of croissants, Raja waving it away since she didn’t want one. The entire senior management team was gathered in the conference room, Fame for some ungodly reason always insisting on a full breakfast spread for their Monday meetings, even though only a fraction of them ever actually ate any of it.
“So,” Fame looked around, a gold fountain pen in her hand, a black moleskin notebook open in front of her. “Any updates?”
The theme of today's meeting was the 2015 Met Gala, Raja barely hiding a groan when Courtney had sent out the meeting agenda.
It wasn’t that she disliked the Met Gala, the first Monday in May a spectacular party, but it was such a hassle getting there, the gala the fashion world's version of the Oscars.
“Yes,” Pearl smiled, turning around in her chair. She was weirdly chipper, her blonde hair collected in a clip, her signature leather jacket exchanged with a cropped black fur. “We have the final confirmation from Jessica Chastain’s team. She’s in.”
“Good,” Fame nodded, making a note in her moleskin, the fact that Fame was actually writing herself more than enough to cement the severity of the situation. Courtney was standing against the wall, Ivy sitting at the table with her computer open, typing away, but when it came to the Met, Fame left nothing up to chance.
“She’s looking forward to working with us, and she says she’s honored-”
“Yada yada yada,” Fame made a hand puppet, and Raja had to hide a smile, Pearl leaning back in her chair with a roll of her eyes, mouthing at everyone else that she’d send a follow up email.
It was Fame who had requested Jessica, in her own roundabout way, her friend casually mentioning to Raja that she had a good smile, which was more than enough for Raja to make Pearl offer her up as Galactica’s celebrity face.
It wasn’t every house who did it, but the big ones always had a celebrity at the gala, wearing their clothes and repping the brand.
“Does anyone know if they’ve moved away from the terrible theme yet?”
“It doesn’t seem like it,” Alaska offered up, the promotional material the Met had sent out at the start of the fall in the middle of the table thanks to Ivy’s forthsight. “It’s December, and since we haven’t heard anything, they’re sticking with China's influence on western fashion.”
“Good god, I was really hoping they had come to their senses.” Fame breathed out through her nose, and Raja had to agree with her. Sure, ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ made sense as an art exhibition, but there was really no way to convert it to fashion without being culturally insensitive at best and offensively appropriative at worst.
Besides, Galactica had never been a brand that sought inspiration from the east in their designs and aesthetics, which made the entire situation quite the predicament.
“I’m sure we can work with it,” Trixie gave a small smile, the stack of papers by his elbow indicating that he had probably already put his senior designers to work coming up with concepts.
“And how,” Fame turned, looking directly at Trixie. “Are we supposed to work with it? Raja’s the only one who could possibly get away with being theme appropriate.”
Usually, Fame and Raja were the ones who walked the carpet together with their celebrity, Fame a nervous wreck for weeks before the gala because of all the strangers, while Raja enjoyed it because of her modeling days, seeing old acquaintances without the stresses of fashion week, a delightful yearly treat.
“I’m Indonesian.” Raja knew Fame didn’t mean anything by it, and she wasn’t that concerned about being politically correct herself, but everyone knew what it could mean for a fashion house to misstep, Dolce and Gabbana somehow walking directly from one scandal and into another one. “Not Chinese.”
“See?” Fame sighed, leaning back in her chair. “It’s a controversial time bomb. Either, we stay on theme, which I refuse since I look terrible in Chinese red, ”
“So we’re going off theme?” Trixie had picked up his papers, sorting through them, and Raja felt a moment of gratitude for their head of design, Trixie of course coming prepared with off-theme suggestions as well.
“Unless they get a grip and change it? Yes. Yes we are.”
*
“There!” Everyone held their breath as Maxwell pointed at Violet’s screen, an email from Ivy just ticking in, the Met Gala meeting still in full swing.
“Open it, Chachki!” Blu was practically biting her nails, hopping from one foot to the other, her red hair in a braid over her shoulder.
“Alright, alright-“ Violet clicked on the email, Bob standing right behind her, his eyes flying over the screen before he called out.
“It’s Jessica!”
A collective sigh of relief went through the floor, a loud ‘yes’ coming from Kiara who was clapping her hands together, the group breaking up, chatter filling the air.
“Thank god,” Maxwell groaned, putting a hand on Violet’s shoulder and giving it a squeeze. “I knew having you here would be worth it Chachki.”
“Right.” Violet raised an eyebrow, looking up at him, clearly not understanding why no one had thought to simply ask Ivy for updates before, the suggestion just casually slipping from her during morning coffee, the entire department running with it instantly. “But I still don’t-“
“Get it?” They turned to look over at Jovan who was sitting at his own desk, the man one of the few who hadn’t gathered around Violet’s computer.
“Yes.” Violet nodded. “If you needed information all this time, you could have just asked-”
“Like we could have just asked you?” Bob said, cutting her off and Violet opened her mouth, only to close it again. “Exactly.” Bob grinned. “You would have told us to fuck off.”
“I see your point.” Violet tapped her fingers on her desk, a small smile on her lips since everyone knew she would have said those exact words directly to their faces when she had been in Fame’s front office. “But, why is it such a big deal if a celeb is confirmed or not? The gala isn’t until May, that’s 4 months away and it’s three outfits. A whole collection is usually done in that time.”
“A collection doesn’t have to be approved by the celebrity,” Maxwell counted on his fingers, “the celebrity’s stylist, Vogue and Anna Wintour personally on top of Trixie, Raja and Fame. Alexis usually starts producing concepts in October.”
“As soon as they reveal the theme girl!” Alexis yelled over her shoulder, already pulling her sketches from their shelf, the confirmation meaning that she’d be in a meeting with Trixie for the rest of the day, working out the details of the first round of negotiations with the celebrity.
“Huh…” Violet looked around, the puzzled expression still on her face. “And what about-“
“Fame and Raja?”
Violet nodded.
“You’d think Fame would be the difficult one-“ Maxwell smiled.
“But make something gorgeous and custom in ivory and she’s on board,” Jovan grinned, putting the pen he was using behind his ear as he turned around in his chair. “Every year, she pretends like she’ll follow the theme, and then never does.”
“Exactly.” Maxwell nodded. “Fame is demanding, but consistent. Trixie has an entire drawer of Fame-appropriate outfits that we all contribute to whenever we have an idea.”
“That makes a disturbing amount of sense,” Violet looked mildly impressed, and if any of the rumors Maxwell had heard about how she had managed Fame’s front office, that approach wasn’t too far off from how Violet herself had attempted to tame the beast.
“Rule one of surviving at Galactica: Never disappoint Miss Fame. For once, however, Fame isn’t the problem.” Maxwell sighed, taking a seat on the edge of Violet’s desk. “Raja is.”
“Raja?” Violet looked genuinely surprised. “Really?”
“Yes really.” Maxwell crossed his arms. “Every year, she tells us that she’s chill, that she’ll wear whatever goes with the spring collection or the theme-“
“And every single year, she changes her mind at least four times.” Bob chimed in, the drama loving smirks on his lip. “More if you’re lucky.”
“Which is why,” Maxwell nudged Bob’s side with his elbow. “We’ve unanimously decided that you have the honor of dressing Raja for this year's Met Gala.”
“Me?” Violet’s eyes widened. “What? Why?” Violet looked at them, confusion painted on her face. “I’m the most junior member of staff.”
“True, but you’re also sucking her brother's dick,” Maxwell grinned, “so we figured she can’t kill you during the process, unlike the rest of us mere mortals.”
***
It should have been one of the most exciting mornings since Courtney started at Galactica--Miss Fame and Raja were being interviewed on a talk show, and so she got to go to the famous 30 Rockefeller Plaza building, and be on the set of a real television show. Unfortunately, it was such a whirlwind of activity and Miss Fame was in such a demanding mood that she didn’t have a second to enjoy it.
She felt like a chicken with its head cut off, running around in a hectic scramble to meet every request. Today was the last day before their holiday break, and even though Courtney knew that spending her break with Bianca would be incredible, she also knew that she had about a billion things to do before that could even start. Today was supposed to be a half day, but with how packed the schedule was, she’d be lucky to leave by 5.
She entered Miss Fame’s green room, silently handing her the coffee she’d asked for and then leaning on the wall to catch her breath. Miss Fame took a sip and then immediately spit the coffee back out.
“What is this?” she asked, holding the cup out like it was a bag of dog shit.
“It’s your usual-”
“This is not my usual. This is weak, and not hot enough, and-did you just roll your eyes?”
“No, Miss!” Courtney insisted, praying that she was telling the truth. She was tired, having arrived at the office at 6 am to drop off her stuff for Bianca’s, and there was a teeny tiny chance that she may have (accidentally) rolled her eyes. “Would you like a new-”
“Let me tell you something, Courtney. This may be the last day before a vacation, but I expect you to be fully present and accounted for. We have too many important things going on and I will not accept anything less than your absolute very best. Is that clear?”
“Yes, Miss.”
“Now. Please go find me some decent coffee before I get a migraine.”
“Yes, Miss.”
“And after you come back, I need you to go to the dry cleaners. I’ve decided to wear my ivory Valentino suit to meet the investors later.”
“Yes, Miss, will do.”
“That’s all,” Miss Fame said, waving her hand, and Courtney took off back down the labyrinthine hallways of 30 Rock to hunt down a coffee that would meet her standards.
***
“Good morning! Welcome back to Coast to Coast. I’m Nina West, and today we are positively blessed to have with us the icons of fashion, Miss Fame and Raja Gemini of Galactica, here to talk to us about dressing to impress in the new year, and their exciting new business ventures. Thank you so much for being here, ladies!”
“Thank you, we’re thrilled to be here,” Fame smiled, the lie easily falling out of her red painted lips.
Raja could see the way her hands were clenched in her lap, her wedding ring turned inward and digging into her palm, and knew that she was at her tensest.
Raja had long ago gotten used to giving live interviews. She had a laid-back attitude and while she always wanted to represent the company in the most flattering light, she tended to relax and let the conversation flow naturally.
Fame, however, had never quite gotten the hang of it in the same way. She was just so brand-conscious, almost to a debilitating degree, written interviews so much more her speed.
She always looked impeccable, very much the ice goddess she was so often called, but Fame had never gotten the same confidence in her speaking skills as Raja, who had been dragged through developing them in her modeling career.
Even though Fame hated being on live TV, they occasionally got an offer they couldn’t turn down, and between the makeup line being released in January and the overhaul of their website and online store, they had a lot to plug.
The whole thing was so stressful Fame had asked Raja four times to check her pits for sweat stains, her papers with facts from the makeup department and pointers from Pearl not leaving her hand until they literally had to go on.
Raja leaned forward, giving Fame’s shoulder a reassuring pat, and added, “This is our favorite show, we never miss it!”
“Aww, thank you!” said Nina, grinning. “Now, I’ve heard through the grapevine that you have an exciting announcement.”
“Yes, and we’re so happy to be able to share the news with your viewers first-”
“An exclusive!” Nina exclaimed, eyes comically wide and mouth open as if this was news to her.
“Yes, exactly. Early this year, we released a limited makeup line, and it’s been doing just wonderfully. So in 2015, we’re going to be rolling out a full line of makeup and skincare, with special edition palettes and colors all throughout the spring.”
“All natural, vegan, cruelty free...I always want the very best for my own skin and I wouldn’t offer our customers anything less,” Fame cut in, and Raja felt a surge of pride at how natural she sounded. All their rehearsing had clearly paid off.
“If you use it, I’ll use it!” Nina said with a chuckle. “You both have the most gorgeous skin I’ve ever seen.”
“We expect the first batch to sell out quickly,” Raja said, “So go straight to our website, Galactica dot com, and sign up to be part of the mailing list to receive alerts on all new product launches and where they’ll show up in stores.”
“I’m doing that, the second we go to commercials,” Nina said. “But first, I heard that there’s more news about your spring line...”
***
Patrick reached for the remote, turning off the TV as Nina West rounded out the segment with Fame and Raja.
He was sitting in his office, wrapping up the last details before the firm could close down for the holiday break.
Fame had done a great job, the nerves he knew she had felt not showing on her beautiful face. Patrick picked up his phone, a smile on his lips as he started to type out a text.
Fame would probably not read it until she left work for the day, but he was proud of her, and he hoped that she was proud of herself too.
***
Fame collapsed onto her dressing room sofa, completely emotionally drained, the crystals she had stuffed in her bra digging against her skin.
Being on camera for live television always took up every drop of energy, and left her with nothing to spare. Unfortunately, she knew that she didn’t have much time to rest, since she was due at the Russian Tea Room to meet her potential investors in less than an hour. The makeup artist they’d hired was standing by for touch-ups, and her ivory Valentino suit hung in its dry cleaning bag on the clothing rack. But first, she knew that her blood sugar was dangerously low, so she needed…
She looked around. Where on earth was Courtney? Fame had never met someone with such a tendency to be underfoot at the worst times and completely MIA when her presence was required. She walked to the doorway, spotting Courtney having a casual chat with a girl in a headset, carefree as anything.
“Courtney!” she snapped, and Courtney looked up, surprised, even though she was literally here for the sole purpose of taking care of Fame’s needs. “Come!”
Fame turned and walked back into her dressing room, irritated, the rapid click of Courtney’s heels as she ran over grating on her nerves.
“Yes, Miss?”
“I need to eat.”
“Oh…” Courtney’s gaze shifted to the table, where a fruit basket sat amongst assorted pastries and other snack food.
“Not that sugary garbage,” Fame explained. “Violet always had- Don’t you have any protein bars?”
“Oh, of course!” Courtney exclaimed, rummaging through her purse.
Fame rolled her eyes, sighing. That girl truly was useless. What Bianca saw in her, Fame would never understand. She took one of the protein bars that Courtney had carefully lined up on the arm of the sofa beside her.
“I think you’d better head back to the office and prepare the conference room for the investor presentation.”
“Oh, but did you need anything el-”
“No, I’m much more concerned with the meeting,” Fame said. “Everything needs to be perfect. These people will be paying attention to every little detail.”
“Yes, Miss.”
“Oh, and take this back with you…” Fame handed over a large manila envelope. “It’s some sketches I’ve been working on.”
“Sure.” Courtney began to put the envelope into her bag, and Fame’s eyes widened with alarm.
“Don’t bend them! For god’s sake…”
“Sorry Miss,” Courtney said, biting her lip, holding the envelope at her side. “Is there anything else you need before I-”
“No. That’s all.”
***
Courtney sat in the back of a cab, eyes squeezed tightly shut, using the time in traffic to center herself and go over her massive to do list. She had to make sure that all the presentations for the meeting were set up, work with IT to test it, messenger out the holiday gifts that Miss Fame added at the last minute, make sure the schedule for January was in order, set up her out of office reply…
Plus, the meeting with the investors wouldn’t begin until they were back from the restaurant, so the “half day” was looking more and more like a full day. At this point, settling in at Bianca’s felt like it was a million years away--and traffic crawling at a standstill didn’t help anything.
She pulled out her phone. Maybe she could set up some of the gift deliveries now, while she was stuck in the cab.
When they were finally in sight of the Galactica building, her phone started buzzing. She looked at the screen. Miss Fame. That couldn’t be anything good.
Courtney took a deep breath and answered, stomach tightening.
“Hello?”
“Courtney!” Miss Fame’s voice was sharp, sharper than usual. “Do you ever use your head? Or do you just go through life without a shred of critical thinking?”
It was fairly obvious that it was a rhetorical question, so Courtney kept her mouth shut, wondering what had gone wrong, what mess she’d have to clean up now.

He trips right into a muddy puddle and twists his ankle. Steve runs up to him all apologetic and billy is yelling at him about keeping his dog on a leash, but billy has no choice but to accept the guys help cuz he can’t walk on his own.
Thank you so much for the kind words and thank you so much for the prompt. I loved this idea and got a little carried away and it’s not 100% what you asked for but I still hope you enjoy it :)
read on ao3
Billy loves the rain. Living in California meant a good rainfall was few and far between. He hated to praise Hawkins, Indiana, but he loved that it rained.
Rain in Hawkins was also very much unlike the rain in California. Down in the southwest corner of the country, rainfall was less like a shower and more like a sprinkle. The rain was only ever powerful enough to form little droplets in his hair. Never enough to cause soaking wet clothes or windshield wipers past the lowest setting. It was nothing like that in Hawkins. Instead it was heavy showers. Soaking his clothes until they were dripping. Needing to drive carefully to avoid hydroplaning. But not too carefully. He had to take advantage of those curb-side puddles that were perfect for splashing pedestrians.
If he had to say anything good about Hawkins, it would have to be the rain. But one thing that was just slightly better than when it was raining, was when it stopped. When the roads were still wet, and the sky still cloudy, but not a single drop of water falling to the earth. It was a weirdly nice feeling. The post rain smell filling his senses. It always seemed to be the perfect temperature. Not too hot. Not too cold. Refreshing was the best way to describe it.
It’s perfect jogging weather. It was always far too hot in California to actually jog the way he wanted. The heat sucking every bit of energy out of him. And trying to breathe in the California smog was just a bad idea in general. Running in the post rain bliss was something else entirely. Taking in only the freshest air. He felt rejuvenated after every run.
That’s how he turned into the guy who stared out of his window every weekend as raindrops fell upon the pane. Looking up at the grey sky waiting for the clouds to part and the rain to subside so he could go out for his run. This was another good thing about Hawkins rain. While it rained often, it didn’t rain for long. It was a perfect balance the way Billy sees it.
This was how he got to know Hawkins a little better. He ran through surrounding neighborhoods, he ran to the high school and on days he felt really good, he ran into town.
Weirdly enough running was a lot like surfing. Not so much in the activity itself, but for the purposes that it served. Because it was more than just exercise. It was a nice way of escaping everything. His dad, Susan, hell even Hawkins. Because just like surfing he was able to put himself into a different zone. Enter a separate reality from the one he was stuck in. He could put on his Walkman and run like he had no destination.
But sometimes he got into the zone a little too much. If the town hadn’t already known him as the bad boy from sunny California, they surely knew him as the punk kid with no respect that was constantly bumping into them on the street. Jaywalking in front of their cars. Splashing carelessly into puddles of fresh rain water. It’s not like he planned to stay in a small town in Indiana. Billy was not the small town type. Some nice rain wasn’t going to suddenly change him into that type of person. And it wasn’t like he couldn’t find rain elsewhere. The Pacific Northwest has both heavy rain and beaches. Maybe he’ll go there instead of going back to California. But the point is, he doesn’t care about what his reputation is. It doesn’t matter. So he pisses off the locals without hesitation and just tries to make the best of it while he’s trapped here.
But maybe Billy should have paid a little more attention. While some humans have the common sense to move out of the way, some animals are lacking in that area.
He’s running through this trail he found in the woods surrounding Loch Nora. In his defense he has no reason to be expecting any company while jogging through the middle of the woods. Perhaps he shouldn’t only be worrying about the company of people and rather whatever wildlife lurks in this part of the country.
Thank fuck his only run in was with that of a disheveled golden retriever covered in mud and not some seven foot tall bear. Billy doesn’t notice the dog until it begins weaving in and out between Billy’s legs. The dog is damn lucky Billy didn’t step on her tail. She’s got a leash hanging from her collar with no owner on the other end. But Billy only knows that part because the same leash had managed to wrap around both of his ankles, bringing him to his new position of being face down in a muddy puddle with an apparent ache forming where the leash had bound him.
So there he lies. Face down, ankles wrapped, a dog licking the mud off his face, and to top it all off, the owner has finally decided to make an appearance. Something in Billy is not even surprised to find that when he rolls over onto his ass he discovers that the owner is none other than Steve fucking Harrington. Because of course it’s Steve fucking Harrington. The universe can’t allow Billy to have even one normal day.
Billy notices Steve before Steve actually notices him. He’s about fifty feet away looking in the other direction shouting what he assumes is the mutts name. “Trixie!” Billy is trying to untangle himself from the leash, but not before Trixie makes a run for the human calling her name and yanks herself free, tugging at his right ankle before breaking loose. Billy doesn’t contain the shriek in pain as it almost dislocates the bone. Shit. Something is definitely wrong.
Steve hears him of course. Hears the girlish scream that Billy would never produce voluntarily. Billy is trying to hoist himself up to maintain some of his dignity, but to no avail. Once Steve has made the distance and is standing at his feet, and billy has succumbed to his spot in the dirt, he fires first.
“Keep your damn dog on a leash.” He spits. If he can’t be at eye level, or even stand up, he has to assert his dominance somehow.
It’s only then that it actually clicks for Steve that Billy hasn’t just parked himself there in the dirt for fun.
“Oh shit dude! Fuck I’m sorry about that. There’s not usually anyone around here so I thought I’d let her do her business y’know? Also she’s not my dog, I’m just pet-sitting for my neighbor. What am I doing? You don’t care about that. Are you okay? She didn’t bite you or anything, right?”
Billy should be mad. Like his ankle might be broken because this idiot doesn’t know how to take care of a dog. But all that rambling and profuse apologies was kind of… cute? Nope. Nope! Billy shut that thought down immediately.
Billy gestures down toward his feet. “Fuckin’ took me down by the ankles. You could learn a thing or two from the bitch. Seeing how you play basketball and all.”
Steve brushes off the comment and lends a hand to help Billy up from the ground. He winces when he applies pressure. Still through the pain he slowly tries to walk away.
“Wait! Dude don’t you live on Old Cherry? That’s like a mile from here.” Billy is just comically limping away from the scene. Logically he knows he’s not getting home on his own. But the last thing he wants is to accept charity from Steve Harrington.
“I don’t need your help Harrington. I’ll be fine. Go back to your castle.”
Steve just ignores him and throws one of Billy’s arms over his shoulder. “Look, my house is like a block away. Let me drive you home so I don’t have to hear about the news of your body being recovered from the Eno River.”
Begrudgingly, Billy accepts the support, huffing out a ‘fine’ before letting Steve guide him and the dog towards the Harrington household.
Steve was right. It was definitely closer than his house was. He could already see between the trees the nice looking two story building. Billy had passed by it before on his drives, but only ever in the dark. It looked much different in the daylight. Somehow it looked even more abandoned. Like everything was still kept up. There weren’t vines growing along the side. It looked clean, but it gave off this strange feeling of loneliness. Like few people had ever passed through it.
The only thing about the house that wasn’t up to code was the pool. The water was green and filled with dead bugs and fallen leaves. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned out in months. He vaguely recalls hearing about the story of that Barbara Holland chick. Died in his pool. He figures there’s some correlation there.
By the time they make it to the Beemer, Steve finally gets a good look at his ankle. In only the matter of a couple minutes it’s swollen dramatically and he can see a faint purple forming underneath the skin. He also sees some blood stains forming at his knees, seeping through the grey material of his sweats. And Billy is filthy. He’s got mud on his face and all over his clothes. His hands are all scraped up, most likely from the fall.
Steve’s brain is working hard. Steve has every reason to let Billy go on his own. Not even three months ago the guy was on top of him, beating him nearly to death. Why should Steve be showing him any kindness? But then he remembers back to him and Jonathan. Sure the fight wasn’t nearly as brutal. But Steve has said some fucked up shit to him and Jonathan never held it against him. Sure, Steve actually apologized, but in his own way, he thinks Billy had too. Not so much with words but with his actions. He had left Steve alone ever since that night. He was still aggressive when they were on the court, but the trash talk had dissipated. So maybe there was some remorse there. And look, it’s Steve’s fault his ankle is fucked up so the least he can do is help him get fixed up and get home.
“Okay look. I have to get the dog settled inside before I can take you home. How about you let me take a look at your ankle and then we can both go our separate ways?”
Billy crosses his arms, balancing on one leg now that he’s no longer being supported. “That wasn’t the deal.”
“Actually the deal was I’d drive you home. That hasn’t changed. Just come inside. Your ankle looks fucked up and I know a thing or two about first aid.” Steve goes back towards Billy and puts his arm back in the same position it was before. Doesn’t give Billy time to protest before he’s made it through the front door. He guides him to the kitchen table where he instructs him to sit down. Then Steve leaves him there along with Trixie.
Billy scans the kitchen. He’s kind of surprised to see that it looks pretty typical for a kitchen. Nothing too fancy about it aside from the clearly new appliances. It’s just average. Oak cabinets. Basic granite countertops. Doesn’t match the exterior at all.
Steve comes back without the dog and with a first aid kit in hand.
“You don’t have to do this man, just take me home.”
Steve just ignores him and kneels down in front of him and works at the laces of his shoe. “It’s my fault you look like you were just mauled by a bear so let me fucking do this alright?” Steve pulls off his shoe frustratedly which probably wasn’t the best idea.
“Ow! What the fuck dude?!”
“Sorry.”
“Look, I’m not here to help you feel better about yourself.”
Steve pulls his sock off anyway. This time with slightly more care. “Just shut up and let me finish this so I can get you out of here.” Billy slumps back and Steve takes a closer look at his ankle. It looks bad. Clearly broken. “I think you need to go to a hospital. This looks like more than just a sprain.”
Billy's eyes go wide and he gets a little shaky. “No hospitals” he says bluntly.
“Billy I really think you should consider-“
“Did you not fucking hear me? I’m not going to a hospital.”
“Why not?”
Billy scoffs. “Your pretty little head couldn’t handle it.”
“Try me.”
“No. We’re not doing this Harrington. Fix me up and take me home.”
Steve rolls his eyes and gets up from where he was kneeling. “Wait here. I’ll be right back.”
“Not like there’s anywhere I can go.”
Steve comes back with a pair of sweats and a plain black t-shirt. He tosses them onto Billy’s lap. “Think you can put these on without my help?” Billy is puzzled. “Look I’m not going to let you get mud all over my car so put on the damn clothes.”
Billy is currently in grey joggers and a long sleeved navy hoodie. It’s honestly the most covered up he’s ever seen him. While Billy is dressing himself, Steve is preparing a wet washcloth and grabbing an old package of frozen peas from the freezer. Steve manages to catch a glimpse of Billy with his shirt off. It’s not even close to the first time he’s seen the guys shirtless. Hell he’s seen the guy fully naked. But this feels different. This time feels more vulnerable. This time it’s not a decision he’s making himself. This time Billy has several belt marks running across his back. The shirt is on just as soon as he makes the realization. Steve just tries to act natural.
“Okay. I’m going to wrap your ankle. You’re going to ice it while I clean up your knees. Then I’ll take you home and we never have to talk to each other again. Deal?”
“Deal.”
“Good,” he hands Billy the wet washcloth. “And wash the dirt off your face.”
Steve pulls up a chair so he can sit in front of him. He gently brings Billy’s right leg up to rest on his thigh and places the frozen peas so that they hug his ankle. He slowly rolls up Billy’s pant leg and inspects the damage. Luckily it’s just some minor scraping that a couple bandaids should fix. He grabs some cotton balls and antiseptic from the kit and begins dressing the wound. But he can’t stop thinking about the belt marks.
Any other kind of injury and he could brush it off as Billy going out and picking a fight with someone. But these are unmistakably not from that and Steve doesn’t like entertaining what it actually means.
Ever since basketball season had ended Neil had been less careful with leaving marks.
Because he’s in a t-shirt now, Billy can see as the belt marks wrap around his upper arm.
“That why you don’t want to go to the hospital?” Steve points to the markings.
“Leave it alone Harrington.”
Steve just keeps his eyes focused on Billy’s knee. “Who did that to you?”
“I said drop it.”
“Was it your dad?”
Billy quickly jerks his leg forward kicking Steve in the chest. Not a good idea considering that probably hurt him more than it did Steve.
“You proud of yourself Harrington? Finally cracked the code? Glad to finally have something to hold over my head so you can take back your precious crown?”
Steve is still recovering from the blow to his chest. Didn’t really hurt. Just knocked the wind out of him.
“I didn’t mean to-“
“Cut the shit alright?”
“No! You cut the shit. Fuck I don’t give a shit about some stupid fake crown.” Steve heaves a sigh. “Look I don’t understand this exactly. But I get shitty dads.”
Billy is kind of just staring at him blankly. The prior rage seems to have disappeared but he can’t exactly tell for sure. It’s like for the first time in his life he’s actually carefully constructing his next words instead of spitting out whatever comes to mind first.
“Your Dad take away your allowance?” Nope same Billy as always.
“More like he’s never around. Cheats on my mom and my mom cares more about her reputation. I haven’t seen them in weeks now and if you asked me where they are right now I couldn’t tell you.”
Billy bows his head. “Shit. Sorry.” This is a different Billy than he’s used to.
“Can I get back to fixing your ankle now?”
Billy brings his leg back up and Steve carefully situates it back on his thigh. He picks up the package of peas that had fell to the floor and continues his work.
“Can I ask you one question?” Steve asks.
“One.”
“Is Max safe?”
Billy turns his head away. “Yeah.” It comes out a little raspy, like he’s choking on air. “He won’t touch her as long as I’m there.”
Steve’s starting to actually piece it all together. The little details he’s picked up on ever since he made his first appearance at Hawkins High in his loud blue Camaro. Suddenly there’s more nuance to every action he’s taken since then.
“He shouldn’t touch you either.”
There’s a pang in his chest as he says it. As he watches Billy actively avoid eye contact. He can feel that he doesn’t believe him. That he thinks he deserves it. Because Steve has allowed himself to believe that he was just never good enough for his father. Never understanding that his father was just incapable of showing love.
Billy doesn’t respond to that. Steve finishes wrapping up Billy’s ankle and patching up his knees, and now he’s helping Billy out to his car. With all this new information in his head he really doesn’t want to drive him home. But they had a deal.
As soon as Steve turns the ignition, Duran Duran starts blaring over the speakers.
“Figured you’d have shitty music taste.”
“Oh shut up. Unlike you I actually like to hear what they’re saying. Not all the noise.”
“Still. Duran Duran is a different kind of awful.”
Steve lets himself smile. Even though he’s being berated about his ‘shit taste in music’, he likes this kind of Billy. He’s not saying it to hurt him. It’s like a friendly jab. Maybe Billy Hargrove isn’t exactly who he first thought he was.
The trip is rather short. Old Cherry isn’t too far from Loch Nora when traveling by car. Hungry Like the Wolf hadn’t even ended by the time Steve pulled up to the curb.
Billy doesn’t move to get out of the car. Steve momentarily forgets about his ankle and let’s himself think he’s staying put for another reason. Maybe it has nothing to do with his ankle. He hasn’t said anything.
Billy wants Steve to say something. Because something weird happened back at the house. The moment Steve said ‘he shouldn’t touch you either’ felt off. He felt something and he needs to know that Steve felt it too.
Steve turns the car off and slumps back into his seat, both hands now tightly gripping the steering wheel. He’s staring past Billy at the house with a look of worry.
“Look. If you ever need to get away, my doors always open.”
Billy goes to look back at him. Steve is still entranced by the front door.
“We’re not friends, Harrington. You don’t have to act friendly.”
“We could be.”
“What?”
Steve is looking at Billy now.
“Wouldn’t it be easier if we didn’t spend all this time hating each other and became friends? Forget crowns and keg stand records and fucking Tommy H. and just try to get along? We got two months left until we’re out of here so why not make the best of it?”
“You want to be my friend Harrington?”
Steve puts his head in his hands and groans.
“We don’t have to be friends but we could at least be civil with each other. Just,” he takes another look at the house. “please come over when shit gets bad.”
Billy hesitates, but he nods assuringly.
“You gonna be alright in there?”
Billy scans the exterior of the house. “He’s not home yet so I should be good.”
“And your ankle?”
“I’ll be alright.” He seems unsure, but Steve chooses not to push the issue further.
“Okay.”
Steve unbuckles his seat belt and goes around the back side of the car to the passenger side and helps Billy up out of his seat. As soon as he slams the door shut, rain starts to dump all over them.
The two are facing each other and Billy has half of his weight resting on Steve’s shoulders. Billy catches a glimpse of Steve’s eyes. Droplets forming on his eyelashes. His hair is already dripping fresh rain water onto his cheeks. It’s disorienting.
Billy isn’t one for sappy shit but this is some freaky sign.
“I don’t want to be your friend Steve.”
Before Steve has a chance to respond his lips are pressed to Billy’s. It’s a quick exchange. Blink and you’ll miss it kind of thing. Billy has both his hands on Steve’s shoulders and is looking at him questioningly. Like he’s waiting for him to punch him or kiss him again. Steve chooses the latter.
Steve surges forward and crashes into Billy. It lasts longer this time. Still quick. But there’s enough time to appreciate the taste of each other’s mouths mixed with fresh rain drops. Steve pulls away first and is quick to offer a reassuring smile. They both look up at the rain coming down, and back to each other.
“Let’s get you inside.”
Billy has another reason to love the rain.

Can I ask for a Lucifer Morningstar fic where the reader to pregnant, hasn’t told Lucifer yet and panics starting to lie to him and avoid him. They resolve it when he does some of his own detective work and he decides he wants you to know he likes the child. Bonus points of stuff like ‘well now I’ve trapped you and you’re mine...’ (like playfully) Thanks.
Detective Morningstar
Pairing: Lucifer Morningstar x Reader
Summary: You’re pregnant with Lucifer’s baby. Great, right? Wrong. You know how much he doesn’t like children. So being a responsible adult, you… lie and avoid him. Lucifer does some detective work and finds out, because of course he would.
Warnings: Unplanned pregnancy, angst, language, talk of period, talk of yeast infections (just wait)
Rating: Everyone
Word Count: 2,709 words
Note: Lots of internal dialogue in this one, with lotsa cursing. Indicated by italics. Also, part of what took so long - my first attempt at this was much less happy and required me to get into a certain mindset. The rewrite is much happier and lighter. And pregnancy fics just take more effort from me.
Note to Requestor: Thank you for requesting and your patience, nonnie! I hope you enjoy! 💕

It was about four in the morning and you were thankful for your natural inability to hold your bladder through the night. Lucifer didn’t seem disturbed by your getting out.
Heavy sleeper and used to it, I guess.
You slowly closed the bathroom door with a soft click and opened the cabinet just as slow. Thankful you had fixed that squeaky hinge.
Your eyes fell on the bright box in front of you and you grabbed it with trepidation - hoping your period would start and wake you from this nightmare. You opened the box quietly, swearing internally at the foil wrapping.
Why did they make these things so loud??
It wasn’t necessary. All it did was make it perfectly clear to anyone within a mile’s radius that you were taking a pregnancy test.
You paused after finally pulling it out - so on edge and nervous of making any sound Lucifer would overhear.
Nothing came from the bedroom so you got down to business.
Yuck, of course you got a little on your fingers.
Okay. All done. Now just five minutes.
God it felt like an hour.
Any bleeding?
Nope.
You checked. Still had hope even if it was a week late. You had been practically begging for your period.
You made empty promises to never complain about your period again.
You checked your phone for the hundredth time in the five minutes.
Finally.
You didn’t even pause before looking at the test.
+
Shit.
Hold up, it could be a -
Nope. Definitely a +
+ means pregnant right??
Shit shit shit.
Wait.
Could be a false positive. Those happen all the time.
Yeah, sure, your brain aka reasonable Y/N thought.
You looked into the cabinet to get another one, a different brand.
As much as you were freaking out, you realized that wasn’t the best idea. You’d wait until tomorrow.
I’m sure I’ll get my period by then and it’ll be some weird false positive...
Yeah.
You pushed the feeling in your gut down. It could be wrong.
It had to be.
1 day and 1 more positive test later...
You sat on the couch, Netflix running but not earning your attention.
You were too busy thinking at break-neck speed.
... Well he came around to liking Trixie. Becoming like an uncle to her. Now when he called her monkey it was affectionate.
And he loved and was even affectionate to baby Charlie.
So maybe he wouldn’t be mad. Or upset? Or idk disappointed?
Oh God, that would be the worst.
Wait, God!
Hey! Dad in law! Can you help out here? Take little bugger out?
I mean you helped Mary so just like say the spell backwards.
Yikes.
Let’s hope He wasn’t listening. Pretty sure that sent you straight to Hell ten times over.
Speaking of Hell, this was his fault! He’s the one with the freaking sperm!
But.... you’re the one whose body betrayed you. Apparently your uterus had too many months of preparing for a baby just for it to get torn down.
Maybe it was a fake. False positive. People get those all the time.
Across two different brands?
Ugh, shut up, reasonable Y/N.
3 days and 3 more positive tests later...
Maze you whisper-yelled through your teeth and shook your hand to get her to come over once she looked up from her spot on the barstool.
“I’m fucked.”
“Why?”
Maze asked with a suspicious look.
“I’m... fucked”, you cursed.
“You can’t tell anyone. Especially you know who.”
Maze smiled and nodded, curiosity piqued. She loved secrets.
You sighed, the omnipresent string of curses running through your head before you spoke again, taking a deep breath and spilling it all out.
“I’m like 99.999 percent sure I’m pregnant.”
You sucked in air, having to breath after saying that all so hurried also because FUCK, you just said it out loud.
Your best friend/practical sister just started at you, chewing on your lip.
She shifted on her feet.
“Are you...” she was trying to gauge you and the situation. “Happy?”
You made faces as you tried to think.
Were you?
Petrified. Anxious. Happy? Okay a little. If you weren’t worried about Lucifer’s reaction maybe you would be.
You mean, it was kinda cool you were like making life.
“Uhhhh...”
Maze nodded slowly at that. Understanding nearly perfectly well what was going on.
“I see. And you’re worried about Lucifer?”
You nodded, scared of even saying his name.
“What if he doesn’t like me like that?”, you sighed, wanting to cry.
She just stared at you, but it was no use as you had dropped your head in your hands. She waited until you lifted your head back up before speaking.
“You’re literally married.”
Oh. Right.
“Yeah but...”
She flicked you in the forehead.
“Stop being an idiot, YN.”
“What are my two favorite ladies gossiping about?”
You jumped out of your skin. Neither of you had noticed your husband/ father of your child until he stood just a foot away.
Shit shit shit.
Say something!
You looked to Maze but she was giving you nothing.
Fuck. Okay uh...
“Uh... VAGINAL ITCHING!”
Lucifer stopped himself from putting his hand on your shoulder. His face was a hilarious mixture of confusion and strange acceptance.
No one said anything so you had to go again.
“Um... yeah. Maze,” you gulped at the daggers coming from her eyes.
“I mean, I.... uh, I think I got a yeast infection.”
Lucifer nodded furrowing his eyebrows. He just turned on his feet and walked away.
Once he was out of reach, Maze snorted.
“You’re a mess! Vaginal itching??”
You buried your head in your hands once more and groaned.
— — —
When you went to bed that night Lucifer was already there.
“What have you been up to darling?”
Reading articles about how to tell your husband you’re pregnant.
“Um. Uh.... Reorganizing the closet.”
You smiled and laughed a little too loud as you realized how utterly stupid that was considering he was in the bedroom. With full view of the closet.
You blushed and tried to laugh it off.
“Sorry, babe. I’m super tired. I’ve been out of it.”
He chuckled. “That yeast infection?”, he mused.
You nodded over enthusiastically. “Yeah the uh, yeast infection.... Itchy itch!”
You cringed.
Itchy itch? Who says that??
Lucifer pursed his lips, trying so hard not to laugh at you.
“Yes, itchy itch indeed. Let me know if you need me to run to the store and get you something for that. I was planning on going out tomorrow.”
You gulped. Fear and paranoia coursing through your veins.
He nudged your shoulder.
“CVS has those chocolates you like on sale so I thought I’d pick some up.”
You sighed. A little too eagerly. Then tried to cover it up.
You couldn’t trust your words so you smiled and leaned in to kiss Lucifer.
He held your lips for an extra moment and pulled away slowly.
“I love you, Y/N” he said. Certainty and firmness evident through his tone and eyes that held yours.
You closed your eyes.
“I love you too, my angel”
— — —
You stopped as you stepped out of Lux, taking a moment to appreciate the warm LA sun hitting your skin. You closed your eyes and held your head high.
Today was going to be a good day.
Someone cleared their throat next to you and you frowned.
Or not.
Opening your eyes you saw you sister in law, Remiel.
Ah, fuck.
“Remy!” you exclaimed, trying to be excited. Like you didn’t know what was going on or why she was here.
She looked at you unamused.
“Y/N. I thought you said you used protection.”
Your face fell and you slumped. Embarrassed as Remy brought up your old conversation.
When she came down to try to take Charlie to Heaven she made a comment about expecting Lucifer to be the one to create a nymphlim.
And you of course said that you two used protection and she wouldn’t have to worry about that.
Which wasn’t a lie, you had been! You just... kinda stopped.
You laughed awkwardly.
“Yeah…” You swallowed.
“Since you’re here... am I actually…?” your throat tightened. You couldn’t say it.
In an instant your sister in law eyes softened.
“Yes,”
You nodded, looking away as you bit your lip, trying to hold back the tears from spilling onto your cheeks.
Remy came closer to you and put her hand on your shoulder.
“Hey,” she began, her voice soft and almost unfamiliar from what you knew of the hunter.
You looked up at Remy and tried to smile.
“I guess,” you sniffled. “I kept thinking it wasn’t real. That all the tests were somehow wrong.”
You shuddered out a shaky laugh, meeting her eyes quickly.
“But I guess if you’re here and you can tell...”
Remy grunted in agreement. “I can smell it clearly.”
You chuckled and looked back at her, not surprised to see her serious face. But that left after a moment to a sly smirk.
You sighed and decided to go in for a hug. After a quick flinch, Remy brought her arms loosely around you.
“You’re not mad?” You sniffled against her shoulder.
She laughed under you as she pulled away, holding you at arms length.
“No. I learned my lesson with Amenadiel. I wanted to offer my help. The child of Lucifer will be highly sought out.”
You blanched. “Sought out? Like...”
She nodded seriously. Her mood instantly changing.
“Yes, Y/N. Many will try to get ahold of your child for their own benefit.”
You just nodded back, unable to handle the situation and desperately wanting to not think about it.
Remy seemed to notice your fatigue and tried to smile again.
“But there’s no need to worry about that now!”
You smiled back, trying to relax as well.
“Well... since you’re here...”
“Remy!”
Lucifer shouted from behind you.
Your husband walked up to you both and pulled his sister in for a tight hug.
“So lovely for you to stop down. What are you doing here?”
Remy went to say - the truth. So you spoke up first. Almost drowning her out.
“I invited her for pedicures!”
“Ooh pedicures?” Lucifer turned to you with excitement.
“Yeah. Uh, Girl family bonding. Like just girls! ... Sorry uh no boys allowed.”
Luci chuckled as Remy just looked on.
“Sounds lovely.” Luci couldn’t even try to hide the love in his heart seeing his wife and sister together.
You stepped in to give him a quick peck on the cheek then back to Remy and wrapped your arm in hers.
“Bye Luci!”
There was a glimmer in his eyes as he pulled out the corvette keys from his pocket and handed them to you.
“Have fun, darling”.
You smiled up at your husband, appreciative of the act.
He gave Remy one last look before he walked back inside.
It was quiet for almost a minute before Remy broke the silence.
“You haven’t told him yet?”
You sighed and hung your shoulders.
“I’ve been meaning to but I just... I’m so scared.”
“Of what?”
You looked at her. She really did want to help.
“Hey uh, if you’re not busy. A pedicure would be nice.”
She smiled. It truly was a nice sight.
“Sure.”
— — —
After you got home and said your goodbyes to your sister in law you hummed happily, trying to not be nervous.
Thankfully Lucifer wasn’t home so you relaxed in front of the tv with a snack.
When the elevator door dinged, you jumped up as Lucifer was quite cheery.
“What’s got you all smiley, Mr. Morningstar?”
He chuckled. “Well, Mrs. Morningstar, not only did they have your chocolates on sale. I also got a coupon!”
You giggled at him. Lucifer Morningstar. The Devil himself. Clipping coupons with such eagerness like a domestic housewife.
He walked over to you and held up the bags. You gawked.
“Luci, how much chocolate did you get??”
He gave you a sly smile.
“Oh I noticed we were running low on some items so I got them as well”
He held your eyes and in that moment you knew you were caught. But you tried to play dumb.
“What stuff?”
He tilted his head at you.
“You know, darling. Pregnancy tests. You’ve gone through quite a lot these past few days.”
You felt the color drain from your face.
“Luci...”
He held up his hand and walked over to sit beside you.
“Y/N. Whatever the reason, I want you to know you don’t need to lie anymore.”
You had to look away at the intensity of his look.
“I’m the Devil. Sensing truth and lies is my thing.”
He put two fingers under your chin to make you meet his eyes.
“And even if I wasn’t. You’re a bloody awful liar. Pedicures?”
He gave you a crooked cheeky smile and you couldn’t help the groan that escaped you.
“I know. But Luci...”
He wasn’t moving to speak so you took a breath and continued.
“I thought you would be upset. I mean, other than Trixie and Charlie, you don’t really like kids. And having a kid, it would tie us together forever. And I know we’re married but it’s different? And I just...”
Your voice trailed off when you looked back up at Lucifer and saw him shaking his head.
“Y/N, my darling wife. We were tied together forever the moment I first saw you. And a child? To be honest, seeing my brother with Charlie it sparked something in me.
“And when I saw you and Remy standing together today - I hoped she was here for the same reason you had taken almost every kind of pregnancy test. And didn’t use any tampons. And didn’t eat any of your period ice cream.”
You felt the blush grow on your cheeks and bumped your head into his shoulder - trying to desperately hide your embarrassment.
“You used your detective skills on me, Morningstar?”
He laughed wholeheartedly as he wrapped his arms around you.
“You aren’t that challenging of a case, love.”
You let yourself laugh.
It shouldn’t surprise you.
Wait.
He said hoped.
Hoped.
“Luci...” you stilled under him, “You said you hoped?”
“Yes,” he said simply.
“Really?”, you said softly, so surprised by his words.
He nodded then leaned in to kiss you, saying all he needed to say with the passion and love pouring from his lips to yours.
When he pulled away you took a breath, feeling like a weight had been lifted off your shoulders. Staring into the eyes of your husband, you knew his words to be true.
“You want this? A baby? Our baby?”
He smiled, lighting up at your words.
“Yes.” He shook you slightly.
“I want all the babies you’re willing to give me. Because it’s you, Y/N.”
You couldn’t help it.
Yep, time for the waterworks.
“Oh, Luci” you sobbed as you dove to hug him.
He held you tightly as he soothed your pain.
“It’s alright, love. Everything’s alright now.”
After a few minutes of crying and comfort, you sniffled and wiped your eyes. Unable to form words that could convey how you felt, you just looked at your husband, smiling softly, eyes glistening and showing relief, gratitude, and love.
He brought you back into his arms and hummed softly.
— — —
Later that night, when your limbs were intertwined between the sheets, the emotional toll of the day mixed with sleep to loosen your tongue.
“Luci... you don’t feel tied down to me??” Your voice was quiet - scared and hopeful.
“Darling.” Lucifer chuckled before he saw the seriousness on your face.
“We’re married.” He said as he stroked your cheek down to your shoulder.
“But a baby.” You nuzzled into him. “It I don’t know... it kinda ties you to someone forever.” The wetness of your eyes coming back again for what felt like the millionth time that day.
Lucifer shifted, pulling you closer to him and lifting your head so your eyes would meet his.
“Being tied to you for the rest of my life isn’t a prison, my darling - it’s a gift.”

Pure Blood 37 (Sirius Black x F!Oc)
Words: 2,504
Masterlist:
Chapter 36 Chapter 38
"Oh, my God. I'm blind!"
"Only you can congratulate me like that,” says Lily laughing.
"Wow, look at that rock" I grab her left hand. “Wait, when did this happen? And why didn't we know anything?"
"Oh, not again,” says James entering the room.
“It's nothing personal, Persephone. It was just us at James's house…”
“She’s wrong, it is personal. We didn't tell you anything, and we didn't tell Sirius, you can't keep a secret,” Lily slaps his arm.
"I'm offended!”
"I'm sorry.”
I sigh.
"Okay I guess,” I cross my arms and sit on the couch.
"Did they already tell you?" Sirius enters and mimics my actions. “And I thought I had a best friend. In fact, I no longer have friends. Remus and Peter did know.”
"What?"
“And you know who else? Jenna and Marlene. No wonder even the Longbottoms know about it before we do!”
"Oh, stop crying," says James.
“This is high treason, James. We can’t not cry.”
"Could you just congratulate us?" asks Lily making a puppy face. I wince, but then I get up.
"Congratulations on marrying the most blind and stupid person in the world,” I say hugging her. She laughs. I walk up to James and hug him. "Congratulations on marrying the most dramatic redhead in the world."
"Ha! Look who says it!” He answers and I push him when we part.
Sirius stands in front of James with his arms crossed.
“Come on, Paddie. You have to congratulate me. I'm going to get married and I need a best man,” He opens his arms.
Sirius looks surprised.
“Isn't it Remus?"
"Don't tell him, but you’re my favorite.”
With just those words, Sirius lunges into James's arms. A very… rare moment, but it doesn't surprise me.
“They already ruined the moment. Would you like to be part of my bridesmaids? " Lily whispers to me.
I don't want to do the same as Sirius, it would be very embarrassing, but I can't help it.
"I-really?" My eyes water. She nods.
“I know we haven't had a good start, but I think we're both ready to forget everything and move on. I want you there and not just as a guest, after all, you helped James.”
She hugs me. I reciprocate without being able to avoid crying. Never ever in my life did I imagine being in this situation.
"I would love to, Lily.”
We part, we wipe the tears and laugh. I turn to my left and the two fools keep hugging as if the world depends on it.
***
"I must say, I was expecting a mess," I say sitting down on the couch. Sirius's apartment is strangely tidy and even bright.
"Ask the others and no one will deny that I am the tidiest of the four,” He hands me a bottle of beer and sits next to me. "You like it?"
The apartment is a good combination of magical things and Muggle things. Pictures and other decorations that represent Sirius' style very well. I must admit that he has a good taste in decoration, unlike me who could not even decorate my room at Apollo's house and at my parents' house, I had no other choice.
“It's perfect.”
I can't help but imagine living here with him. Just the two. He has not insisted on moving, but my mind takes care of it.
"You did a great job,” I comment.
“I had help from Fleamont, James and Remus. But, well, it was my idea. Besides, I couldn't have done it without Alphard,” he says nostalgically. I take his hand.
"He would be proud of you,” he nods with a smile.
“Also of you. You've made a great effort with therapy. Jane told me that you only need a couple more to be good to go…”
"What can I say? Listening to all these voices asking me how I am, if I need something, if I can walk and move my arm without crying, in addition to having a baby drooling on my cheek every time it hurts, it is a great help to move on.”
He laughs.
“Speaking of drooling babies, James asked me to buy some things for the wedding. Will you accompany me to Diagon Alley?"
I frown.
"The wedding is still a long way off?”
“That's what I said, but I didn't expect James to be the Groomzila at the wedding. He seemed very nervous, so I didn't want to tell him anything else that might upset him.”
“Okay," I chuckle.
We both appear in a few seconds in the alley. All afternoon we were buying some things for James, for the apartment and we could not miss the sweets.
At one point, Sirius stays at the Quidditch shop while I got distracted in a clothing store.
It's nice to spend the day like this, just the two of us and even have moments alone without planning it. I take my time looking at some dresses. I buy a pair and as soon as I leave the store, I hear a squeal.
"Yes, there it is! My beautiful, beautiful girlfriend!” He says grabbing my waist, pulling me closer to him. I look at him confused. "You see? I've already settled down and I don't need another person.” He says nervously and then kisses my temple.
I don’t understand anything. I look forward, meeting two quite surprised girls. I recognize one of them.
"Danny?" I ask the brown haired girl.
"Hey, Persephone!” She smiles hugging me.
"You know each other?" The other two girls and Sirius ask at the same time.
"Yeah, we were both in Slytherin," She points out.
"What's wrong?" I ask Sirius.
"Nothing! We weren't doing anything, I never did anything!” He answers, upset.
Danny laughs next to me.
"I must say I never expected to see the great Sirius Black so nervous," She turns to see me. “My friends and I found him at the Quidditch shop and decided to talk to him. It hasn't been long since we left school. To tell the truth, we thought he was single…”
"No offense, but he was alone,” says another girl with black hair. "We didn’t think that a womanizer could change and less with the only Singh who’s not worthy,” She scoffs. I clench my teeth but smile.
“Well, now you know. We’re together.”
"For now,” She mimics my smile.
I shake my head.
“I’m not playing this game. We're out of school, I don't think it's the best thing to keep fighting and even less for a boy.”
"Hey," Sirius complains.
The girl laughs.
“Even though we’re no longer at Hogwarts, you are still the girl who disappointed her family, do you think that your great secret was going to be hidden forever? I'm not even surprised. Ever since you started a friendship with Mudblood Evans, I knew it was only a matter of time…”
I frown as the others watch us uncomfortable.
“Listen, I don't know who you are, and I don't know why you care so much about my life. Maybe yours is boring, but that doesn't mean you should spit out your poison.”
"It's part of the charm, honey," She laughs. "Who would have thought that Trixie was right all this time!”
"What!?" Sirius and I say at the same time.
"Hello guys!”
Trixie the devil is in front of us, smiling like she has won a contest. Sirius and I step back and hold hands.
"Please, not again," The boy groans.
"Oh, come on. I know we had our differences, but I’m tired of this game,” She looks at me. "It was about time your parents realized what a danger you are,” then looks at Sirius. "And it's a shame that your family left you alone in the world, dear Sirius, but I have been told that Regulus has done a great job!”
I really want to feel anger and rage towards the girl, but I’m still shocked to see her.
"Don't you get tired of repeating it?" Sirius asks "I don't think the story with our families is that important now.”
“Oh, Sirius. You don't have an idea,” Trixie smiles. She eyes me from top to bottom, then looks back at Sirius. “I could help you,” she says flirtatiously. At that moment I react.
"Thank you, but no thank you, we're good.”
She sighs ignoring me.
"This is your time to leave Persephone.”
"He won’t do it and less with someone like you.”
"Come on, who wants to be in a relationship with a girl who doesn't know how to obey when he can be with me?"
"I'd rather eat a snake," Sirius comments.
"We don't need you, not you or your friends, I don't know what her name is," He scowls.
"We're not interested in your plans, Sirius and I couldn't be better." I raise my eyebrows. "Actually, we’re in the process of moving in together."
Trixie raises an eyebrow.
"What?" says the black haired girl and Sirius.
“Yes and we don't have much time. We're very busy, we can't wait to get everything ready and well, you know, get everything, right, honey?" I look at Sirius who looks like his eyes are about to pop out.
"Uh, yeah. We have to go,” He answers.
Trixie laughs.
"Well, it's sad to see one more boy run into the void,” She sighs, looks at her friend with black hair and they both leave, leaving Danny.
“In my defense, the other girl is my cousin and I had no choice. Besides, I warned them,” She points to them, smirking.
"You have hope,” I tell her.
"Maybe, but I think they have been humiliated enough," She says. “But congrats, guys,” She smiles.
"Yes, it’s a big surprise,” says Sirius next to me. I avoid his gaze.
"Oh, and I found out that Potter and Evans are finally getting married! About time, at Hogwarts we made bets to see if at some point they would get together or kill each other,” I appreciate that she changes the subject.
"I never won," I complain. She laughs.
“I think my presence is no longer required and I must go take care of the two snakes. It was good to see you guys!” She says.
When we are alone, Sirius stands in front of me.
"Of all the ways you could say yes to the move, I never thought it’d be like that and less in front of the devil,” I thought he was going to be angry, but his mocking smile tells me otherwise. “But did you mean it or was it just to mark your territory? Which, I must say, was quite… interesting– to see you jealous,”He raises an eyebrow.
I roll my eyes.
"It wasn't about you."
“Sure."
“Whatever," I cross my arms and hear him laugh. I make a face. “But, I was serious, I've been thinking about it and there are more things in favor than against and I have healed enough.”
“So," He cups my cheek. "Will you move in with me?"
“Yes," He smiles and kisses me slowly.
"Oh, I can't wait to tell everyone!” He teases causing my cheeks to burn. He lets out a laugh, but it doesn't last long. He now he makes a face.
"What?"
"Now that I think about it, we may have our first argument," He says sheepishly.
"Now what did you do?"
“Oh, it's not exactly what I did, just maybe, maybe… you don't have closet space.”
I step away confused.
"How many clothes can you have Sirius?"
"You'll be surprised.”
***
"It smells delicious!” says Andy entering the apartment.
"Courtesy of Sirius and Lily!” I smile at her.
"This is my husband, Ted,” She introduces a tall blond man with a warm smile. "And this little girl is Nymphadora!” She says, revealing a girl with purple hair. She seems very shy and she doesn't want to get away from her mother, so she doesn't pressure her.
"It's a pleasure to meet you,” I step aside to let them pass.
"Andy!" Sirius yells before hugging his cousin.
"Uncle Siri!” The girl demands Sirius's attention when she separates from her mother.
"What?" He says surprised. "Who are you?"
“Dora," She answers with an amused smile.
“No-uh, my pretty niece Dora is still just a baby! And what I see here is a big girl!”
"I am the bit girl!" She squeals raising her arms. Sirius carries her and they both share a big hug.
After the introductions, Sirius and Lily announce that dinner still needed more time, so we all sit in the small room.
"It's great to see how much you've accomplished," Andy tells Sirius. "I'm very proud of my Siri!” She says squeezing the boy's cheek. We all laugh at his complaints.
"So responsible, our dear Siri,” snorts James.
"What about you, dear Jamie?" Andromeda says. James blushes. "Graduated and about to get married!”
"Very important adult things, without a doubt, Andromeda,” He replies, feigning maturity. She frowns. "And as an adult I ask you to please not call me, Jamie.”
"Impossible, Jamie.”
James complains.
"At least Remus isn't here, it would be worse…”
"Don't worry, Prongs, I'll inform him about your new nickname,” Sirius replies.
“Oh, yeah! Lupin, where is he? " Andromeda asks.
"Uh, he's busy," I say hiding my nervousness from her.
"Yeah, he has a little furry problem," Sirius says.
"Do you have a puppy?" Dora asks.
"Something like that.”
The others keep talking, Andy, Sirius and Lily talk about dinner, while James talks to Ted about Fleamont's inventions. So I’m left alone with the six-year-old girl.
"So, Dora," I begin. She looks at me. “When you arrived your hair was purple, but now it’s blue.”
“Yes, sometimes it happens. I’m a metamorphomagus, that means I can change the color of my hair whenever I want!” She explains making me laugh.
"That's great!”
"Do you believe it? Some children think it’s something strange,” She says.
"Oh no. I think it's the coolest thing I've ever seen. What other colors can you do?"
“I like the way pink looks! Look,” She closes her eyes and little by little her hair turns bubblegum pink.
We both laugh and keep trying other colors.
The night passed quietly between the delicious dinner, stories, jokes and conversations that only the walls within the apartment will know.
Only until it was too late, the Tonks must go. Ted carries a sleeping Dora, but before they leave the place, Andromeda looks at the four with concern.
“I know that everything has been very nice in your lives these last few months. I wish everything were fine, but Dumbledore will soon notify you of a new meeting. You-Know-Who no longer wants to be in the shadows and it’s better to prepare,” She looks at us with a sad smile. “The most important thing is to be together. You should also let Peter and Remus know.”
“We will, Andy. Thanks,” She nods and the three of them leave.

What do you think it says that in S1 Lucifer didn’t really have an emotional reaction to Amenadiel wanting/trying to kill him? Manipulating, yes. But not killing? Seems like killing would be the worse of the two, overall.
OK SO
it depends on when in s1 you mean, because his reaction evolves over the season. so let’s start with very, very early on in s1 lucifer.
this is a man who’s spent the vast majority of his life in hell, in a culture built on violence and power plays. this is a man who’s been on earth for five years and only really formed surface relationships with the people around him - he clearly cares about delilah in his stilted, emotionally backwards way, but they aren’t close the way that he’s close with linda and ella and even dan, and it’s implied he hasn’t really seen her since she stopped working for him.
this lucifer is deeply traumatised, terrified of rejection, burying himself in sex and drugs to try and cope, and has an entire lifetime of being told how awful and worthless he is keeping him from really connecting with anyone.
(my personal headcanon is that baby demons will actually attack and kill their weaker siblings in the nest, eliminating the competition for food, so actually, fratricide would not be as unthinkable to lucifer as it is to us. more kind of...vaguely distasteful.)
pretty much every relationship in hell is skewed towards the dark and aggressive. look at maze, lucifer’s oldest and closest friend - their fights are vicious, they don’t communicate well at all, they resolve conflicts mostly by beating the shit out of each other...my point is that this lucifer not only expects the people around him to hurt him, he accepts it as normal.
(it’s also worth noting that amenadiel’s hatred for lucifer is obvious whenever they interact - he’s treating luci the way he does deliberately, because at this point he sees lucifer as The Reason Everything Went Wrong. lucifer, on the other hand, swings between deadly serious ( “don’t threaten me, amenadiel. you don’t want to start a war.” ) and being almost playful ( “and you, my friend, can go to hell.”
sometimes it’s a genuinely hate-filled exchange. sometimes lucifer is just being an annoying little shit of a baby brother, hell-style. which, to amenadiel, comes across as open hostility, and deepens the dislike between them.)
it’s important to understand, i think, that lucifer at this point is? basically shut down. he’s closed off all the parts of him that are gentle and loving and good, because those parts of him will either get him killed or pull him apart in hell. he’s running survival.exe, and everything else is closed. he doesn’t trust anyone, keeps his friends close and his enemies closer, and believes everyone is out to get him because for most of his life they were. it’s been five years since he left hell, but he hasn’t moved on from the trauma at all. he’s stagnant.
so at this point in his life? he sees his relationship with amenadiel as normal sibling behaviour. so yeah, no reaction to amenadiel trying to kill him. just sort of, sigh, brothers, amiright? he can’t afford to care, can’t afford not to expect that from amenadiel anyway. he doesn’t know how to stop living in the past.
and then he meets linda.
and suddenly we have a lucifer who is starting to get to grips with his own emotions, starting to get some much-needed perspective on what is and isn’t normal. i don’t think he actually realised just how abusive his family - not just dad, but his siblings too - were until he let linda in.
he bonds with chloe, and for the first time he’s got someone in his life who chooses to support him, who doesn’t take his shit but doesn’t go for his throat either, and now he’s starting to learn the give-and-take nature of a normal, healthy relationship. he watches her with trixie, with dan, and starts to understand what family ought to look like. he’s soaking shit up like a sponge at this point and he’s realising that his family isn’t normal.
he puts his fist through linda’s wall, the only way he knows how to express how angry and hurt he is by what she’s saying to him, and she keeps seeing him anyway, and he starts to realise that he’s never had that kind of support from his own family, and he should have, and it hurts.
and we start to see him react to amenadiel differently. he goes to amenadiel to ask for help retrieving his wings. that’s the first time we’ve seen lucifer treat amenadiel like a big brother. and amenadiel flings it back in his face ( “clean up your own mess, for once.” ). lucifer wants the sort of relationship he knows he should have with his brother - the human idea of a good sibling relationship - but amenadiel has also been his primary abuser for eons. the trust isn’t there, they don’t know how to care about each other, they’re both dealing with trauma and grief over lucifer’s fall, there’s so much going on there.
(and amenadiel is beginning to change too, though much slower than lucifer. they banter a little in this episode. he’s very much the exasperated older brother at a few points, but without the loathing from episode 1. linda is already affecting him, too, in very subtle ways; she’s showing him it’s possible to care about lucifer.)
and by the time we have malcolm telling luci that amenadiel sent him to shoot him, he definitely has an emotional reaction ( “so my holier-than-thou brother sent someone to kill me! well, this really is opposite day.” ).
by now, we have a lucifer with a support system. we have a lucifer who’s been sat on linda’s couch for months(?) having his pain and his fears and his trauma validated, and learning how to deal with the fallout. we have a lucifer who knows what family should look like, who knows his brother is treating him badly, and that it’s not normal, and that it’s not okay. and he’s hurt. he’s frustrated. he’s angry.
(he’s also putting on a front, because he thinks he’s mortal and someone is pointing a gun at him. and when lucifer is threatened, he makes himself as big and intimidating as possible and bluffs. he doesn’t have time to really sort through his feelings about amenadiel, because he’s focusing on trying to scare malcolm off with his devil face)
i think this - the end of s1 - is really where their relationship began the long slow process of healing. lucifer wants to get in a fight with his brother against campolongo’s men. amenadiel takes the olive branch and there’s even a semi-affectionate moment when it’s all over ( “and to think we spent all those millennia fighting each other.” ). lucifer stops chasing malcolm to try and save amenadiel’s life. amenadiel realises he’s responsible for his own actions and tries to right his wrongs. and lucifer admits fear in front of his brother and shares the burden of their mom having escaped.
(and can i just scream for a second about how good lucifer is? he’s been rejected and reviled and treated so badly so many times and yet he still keeps reaching out, keeps trying to help his brother, and it hurts my heart so much)
(also i love the progression of this relationship so much, how you can see the tiny little steps they’re taking towards a human-standards Good Relationship. amenadiel's realization that he’s been a terrible big brother and his awkward attempts at being a better one, offering lucifer advice and reassurance. lucifer - trust issues personified - in turn tentatively starting to ask for amenadiel’s input and beginning to trust him more ( “am i boyfriend material?” )
the backslide when amenadiel tells lucifer he loves and supports him and lucifer panics and lashes out hard, because receiving unconditional love from a family member is so alien that the alarms in his head, honed in hell, are screaming wrong wrong wrong wrong and amenadiel’s sad but accepting reiteration that he understands what lucifer is doing and loves him anyway. these two??? kill me)
SO ANYWAY TL;DR: he didn’t react because he was shut down and his Normal Meter was 50 shades of broken. also i have a lot of feelings about amenadiel and lucifer and i love them so much so this got kinda off track sorry

Title: No Closets Fandom: Lucifer Rating: Teen and Up Audiences Pairing: Deckerstar Word Count: 1526 Summary: Lucifer has made Chloe an offer. Does she take him up on it? READ ON AO3
Chloe sighed, slumping her head over the cup of coffee Lucifer had just brought over. The two of them were taking a break from following up a few dead-end leads, and were now squished into a small table at a café. True to form, Lucifer had popped the lid off his paper to-go cup, and was now pouring whiskey from his flask into it. So much for saving room for cream.
“I just… I don’t know what to do,” Chloe complained. “Everyone we talked to says they have no idea who this guy is.”
Lucifer finished “correcting” his coffee, and then pushed hers closer to her. His brown eyes were soft and gentle despite all the chaotic thoughts she knew were surely lurking behind them.
“Perhaps we don’t have to figure this out right now. Please rest, breathe. Have a drink. You look ravaged.”
The relaxing mood his deep brown eyes had seemed to have been setting up was utterly ruined with that, and she put her head in her hand.
“Really? Thanks, I feel so much better now.”
He pat her hand. “Good, that’s what I like to hear.”
She rolled her eyes. Of course, he didn’t understand sarcasm, mostly because he was too busy focusing on himself. She tried to relax, but she was too tense. Why wouldn’t she be? Yet again, she was stuck dealing with a difficult case, Trixie having problems at school thanks to the man sitting in front of her, and a load of celestial bullshit that she didn’t have the time for. And then there was Lucifer’s offer…
Lucifer took out his phone, and he seemed to be deep in thought as he scrolled through it. Chloe just looked around, taking in any possible threats despite these few minutes supposed to be part of her break. She hardly realized when their legs brushed together, and Chloe was okay with keeping it that way.
Maybe…
No. No, definitely not.
“What do you think a good present for a woman is?” Lucifer asked.
Right. Him and his sexual partners. He surely just wanted to make Chloe one more number on that impossibly long list; the list that was probably making the word infinity feel jealous right about now.
“Lucifer, I don’t want to help you with your… relationship drama.”
“Relationship drama?”
“Yeah, you know… all the people you sleep with.”
He laughed as if such an idea were ridiculous.
“Well, it’s not for any of them.”
Chloe leaned back and crossed her arms. “So, I suppose it’s for me, to try and get me to”—she gestured with her hand—”you know.”
“Don’t be ridiculous. I don’t need the help of gifts to get you in bed. And no, it’s for Maze. I can’t figure out why she’s mad at me.”
“I don’t know, maybe because you stole her knives and used them to frame her for murder?”
Lucifer sighed. “Look, that was a small misunderstanding, which is all cleared up now. I got bored.”
“Hmm, yeah? What else do you do when you’re bored?”
Lucifer put his phone away, and then started tearing at the cardboard paper cup holder with his fingers.
“You know, there’d be a lot more for me to do if, uh…”
“No.”
Lucifer actually stamped his foot, and practically whined, “Why not?”
“Ew. Don’t be a baby.”
He gasped. “How dare you! I bear absolutely zero resemblance to those helpless, little breast-hoggers.”
At this point, Chloe wasn’t even sure she was annoyed. She just thought having this back and forth with him was funny.
With a smile starting to break out on her face as she raised her coffee to her lips, “Could’ve fooled me.”
Lucifer’s mouth was open, clearly aghast. Chloe just watched him, amused, as the mix of sweet and bitter drink warmed her mouth. By the time she put her cup down he seemed to understand. He was laughing now. Seemingly on some instinct, or some long practiced behavior, he reached out and grabbed Chloe’s hand.
The world stopped, a fiery tingle going through her from his touch.
Why, why?
Lucifer’s mojo didn’t work on her, so why was it that she was even feeling this? It had to be something he was doing, right? Somehow he’d found some way to trick her?
Chloe couldn’t take her hand out of his, just enjoying the warmth and comfort of his touch. His skin was soft, as if he wasn’t a fighter, as if he hadn’t worked with his hands for a single day in his life. His piano player fingers cupped her hand gently and caressed her knuckles. Despite that gentle exterior, she knew great strength lay beneath it.
The stress of the day, of the week, seemed to fade away, and she brushed her thumb along his. Looking into his eyes, she didn’t see narcissism, or impulsivity. There was just… vulnerability.
Chloe inhaled sharply, the air in her lungs welcoming, as if she hadn’t breathed in years.
She licked her lips as she stared at him, her eyes taking in as much as they could. Oh god, how was he real? Well, she supposed God did have something to do with it.
“Are you all right, Detective?”
Chloe tried to find words, and he took her hand in both of his now.
“I—I…”
“Oh dear, perhaps I should take you home,” he said, as if he had no idea that she was perfectly fine (if you considered being turned on by the Devil as fine). He started pulling her up to her feet. “Okay, come on.”
She pulled back slightly, the change in blood pressure from standing giving her some clarity.
“No, no. I’m fine. It’s— Yeah, everything’s good.”
Lucifer just gave her a skeptical look.
“Then please tell me what’s going on.”
Chloe grabbed his coffee.
“Wait, Detective, that’s—”
She had a sip, and winced at the burn of the whiskey he’d put into it. Mixed with the coffee, it left her lips feeling warm and sensuous.
“That had whiskey in it, you know,” he said as she handed it back to him.
Sure did.
“Yeah, I know. So, how about instead of taking me home, we go back to your place?”
“My place?”
Chloe sidled up close to him, and she ran her hands up over his chest. When she found the top button of his shirt, she popped it free, and then let her fingers trail over the barest bit of skin she’d revealed. Lucifer inhaled deeply.
Trying so hard to shut her confusing thoughts off, wishing she had more whiskey in her, Chloe said, “I want to take you up on your offer.”
Lucifer stopped breathing. For a moment Chloe was worried she’d somehow turned him into a statue.
Then, he suddenly put his coffee down, grabbed her (one arm around her, his other hand in hers) and started taking her to the counter with all the baked goods.
What the hell is he doing?
“Excuse me,” Lucifer called to the pudgy Asian man working the register. “Do you have a closet somewhere? Or a back room, perhaps?”
Chloe’s eyes widened, realizing what he was doing. She tried pulling out of his grip, cheeks already beginning to flush red, but he pulled her tight against him, oblivious to the fact that this was completely inappropriate.
“A… closet?” the cashier asked, clearly confused.
“Yes, this woman’s just taken me up on an offer, and it’s imperative that I pleasure her immediately.”
Chloe wanted to sink through the floor.
She took action, using his touch to pull him away. Blushing, laughing from pure discomfort, she said, “No, no! Lucifer, that’s—that’s fine. We—we shouldn’t—” She swallowed and turned back to the cashier. “Sorry about that.” Then she whispered, “He’s feeling a little sick.”
Lucifer gasped. “I assure you I’m perfectly—”
The cashier just had wide eyes as he watched them, mouth slightly open. Chloe now faced the door, finding it very important that she got him out of there immediately, before he could say anything else stupid.
“Lucifer, we’re leaving.”
“What? Why?”
She managed to get him out the door, and she was disappointed to find that the fresh air did little to cool her heated cheeks.
“Are you serious?”
Wow, he’s actually an idiot, isn’t he?
Why, Chloe? Why?
“Yes, I want to find the most convenient spot as soon as possible, so—”
Chloe kissed him, shutting him up. He relaxed against her. He pulled her close, one hand at the back of her head. Heat thrummed through her from the touch of his lips, from pressing up against him. In fact, she felt a little dizzy with how quickly her body had decided to start throbbing in between her legs.
Somehow, she got herself to pull away, though his smell still surrounded her; she was drunk off of it.
“Like I said, let’s go back to your place.”
Lucifer’s cheeks reddened, the rest of him going pale.
Then, he smiled, breaths starting to come quickly. Chloe was sure she had forgotten how to breathe normally as well.
“Well, come on then, Chloe! And I promise, no closets.”

The Flying Saucer Mystery
Hey do you like camping? Do you like aliens? Do you like treasure hunts? If you said yes to all three than this might be the game for you! @nancydrewnetwork
Inspired by The Flying Saucer Mystery(duh)
Mystery
Nancy and her friend’s all-expenses paid(by Carson Drew) camping trip is quickly derailed by rumors of strange encounters and long-lost treasure hidden deep in the Shawnee National Forest. Hopefully Nancy can solve the case before she gets abducted (and maybe she can have a fun vacation for once).
Friends
Ned Nickerson: Nancy’s boyfriend. Chemical Engineering major and star athlete at Emerson. This time he gets to help in person. His experience as a camp counselor and first aid will come in handy.
Bess Marvin: Longtime best friend and always reliable. She’s good at keeping the campers happy in tough times and knows more cutesy camp recipes than Pinterest. Actually, she might’ve stolen them all from Pinterest.
George Fayne: Other longtime best friend and outdoors enthusiast. She’s a useful friend to have both on the trail and for when your gadgets fail on you and you don’t know why.
Burt Eddleton: Best friend of Ned. Biology major at Emerson who seemingly can’t choose what to focus on exactly. He knows a lot about both wildlife and plants. Pretty good athlete and pretty chill dude. Kind of a Himbo. Proud duck Dad (Don’t worry Sparkles is with a chickensitter).
Dave Evans: Other best friend of Ned. Archaeology major at Emerson. He knows a lot about artifacts or at least he’s mostly talking about artifacts because Bess gets freaked out by the skeletal side of his interests. Pretty chill guy also might play Wonderwall if presented with a guitar.
Suspects
Blake Wilkinson: Co-owner and head guide of Happy Trails Camping Company. She’s the trail guide helping the group get through this vacation. She seems nice enough but she is way too serious about her job. Well maybe not too serious. How else can you explain the buyout offer she’s hiding from Amani? What else could she be hiding?
Amani Wilkinson: Blake’s wife and other co-owner of Happy Trails Camping Company. She prefers nature over business. In fact, she doesn’t seem at all interested in the company (Does Blake know?). She’s happy enough to show you around the forest. Hopefully she doesn’t leave you all alone out there. Just kidding, she would never do that. Right?
Shay Hernandez: Assistant trail guide and aspiring park ranger. Or so he says. He claims to be a college student at a local university, but won’t say what his major is. That’s okay, maybe he’s still deciding. However, he talks a lot about science. Not just biology or even ecology like you might expect from someone who spends most of his time in the outdoors. He talks about computer science and robotics too. Is it just the sign of a budding scientific mind? Or is it a sign of something else?
Sonny Joon: Nancy knows Sonny’s here for the aliens, but does she really know him enough to say that’s the only reason why he’s there? Or is she in for another.....adventure with him? I’m sorry Sonny fans but it fits.
Soffi Ziririan: The only one of the campers (besides Sonny) that doesn’t know that much about the area. Again or so she says. She’s an avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast. She loves challenging herself with new challenges. Strangely, she didn’t give that much information to Blake or Amani when she signed up for the trip. She might just be a private person because that happens all the time...
Kole Morse: He’s a local, so it’s strange for him to be going on a guided trail experience. He knows the forest like the back of his hand, so why is he here? He claims it’s just for fun, but no one knows for sure. One thing that is for sure is that Kole is a true environmentalists. He doesn’t believe in the aliens, he thinks all the sightings are fake and going to negatively affect the environment. He not too keen on “people who don’t truly understand the forest” being in the forest. Whatever that means. How far is he willing to go to protect what he refers to as ‘his forest’?
Joseph “Old Joe” Austin: Native American man from the local Shawnee tribe, One of the oldest residents from around Shawnee National Forest. He lives in a cabin with his brother Sam and his dog Trixie. He’s also a shoe-in for the friendliest resident of the forest award. He’s welcoming and kind to all the campers that come through. He says he’s given up on finding his father’s treasure. Or has he?
Samuel “Sam” Austin: Old Joe’s younger brother. Unlike his brother, he’s quiet and likes to keep to himself. Old Joe just says he’s shy. Really, Nancy figures out that he’s deaf. Luckily she remembers a bit of sign language and that online dictionary the Hardy Boys text is a great bonus. He’s actually trying to find his dad’s treasure again. Although he seems innocent enough, Nancy doesn’t know how far he’ll go to get his dad’s treasure.
Phone Friends
Frank and Joe Hardy: They were supposed to go on the trip with the group, but Frank broke his leg during their last mystery so Burt and Dave took their spots. They are super bummed. Luckily Nancy can call them so they can live vicariously through her.
Dagny Silva: There’s treasure, here’s Dagny. Not actually there because she has better more certain treasure to track down, but she owes it to Nancy to occasionally answer her phone.
Ranger Maia Chikovani: A ranger of the national forest, asked Nancy to figure out what’s going on. She believes in aliens, but is a bit more worried about the impact their UFO may have on the environment.
Locations
Forest Trails and Clearing: There pretty straightforward. Trees and plants and stuff. There’s quite a few different locations, but can all be summed up by this title. Nancy has a map to keep track.
River appears next to some of the trail but not all of them.
Old Joe’s Cabin: It’s where he lives with his brother and dog.
Swamp: Where the UFO has been spotted. Coincidentally, the treasure is rumored to be near this location
Treasure’s real location: It’s not actually near the swamp. This location is only revealed after Nancy figures it out.
Time
Day/Night cycle. Time keeps on moving so your week may be more than a week depending on how long it takes for you to solve it.
Transportation
Horseback riding: For longer distances along the trails
Walking: For shorter distances and areas that the horses cannot go. Also for like around the camp and stuff. Nancy’s not riding the horse for a week straight that would just be weird.
Puzzles/Mini Games
Pitching a tent
Fishing
Building a fire
Cooking camp meals
Roasting marshmallows and making the perfect s’more
Mushroom picking: I’m enby I can’t not include mushrooms.
Decoding/Solving the clues Old Joe and Sam’s father left for them: This is a series of different puzzles, all at different times and with different purposes. They all fall under the same category so they’re being lumped. I imagine they would be a mixture of logic and clues that you find about the two brothers and around the forest itself.
Opening the treasure box: Simply one of those weirdly over-complicated puzzle boxes that everyone seems to have. You know the type.
Fixing the radio: The radio gets trashed with the rest of the camp and it’s up to Nancy to fix it
Lockpicking other campers’ locked private possesion: The usual
Flying the Spaceship: After Nancy and Ned get trapped in the spaceship, Nancy needs to figure out how to fly it before they crash!
Alien Dream World: Nancy and Ned are transported to an alien world by the spaceship. It’s so amazing it’s like a dream.
Finding Arrowheads: there’s a few old arrowheads scattered around. They’re old and don’t belong to anyone (at least not anymore). Mostly collected for fun.
Second Chances
Riding your horse into the swamp: Why?
Drown in the swamp: At least the water’s warm....it’s not worth it
Radio explodes: You shouldn’t have connected those wires
Crash the spaceship: Should’ve used the turn signal
Bear attack: like the alien attack but with bears
Alien attack: like the bear attack but with aliens
Setting yourself on fire: Stop, drop, and roll!
Ate the wrong mushroom: you clearly picked a toadstool, not a mushroom. (It’s a joke don’t get technical lol)
Additional Features/Notes
This is only loosely based off Shawnee National Forest. I cannot guarantee the presence of small swamps or aliens. Also the pictures and everything might not be perfectly accurate. It’s just aesthetic, it doesn’t have to take place in Shawnee. I just needed a name. It can change.
Communication is different with Sam than with the other characters due to the fact that he is deaf. He uses sign language (that is automatically translated). Nancy’s speech is silent for his conversations, she’s using sign language too but you can’t see her hands (because you’re not really supposed to talk when you’re using sign language. Also Sam only “speaks” to people who can also use sign language.
Speaking of communication, I know we all like our phone friends, but cell signal is unreliable on this trip. Nancy won’t always be able to get in touch with her contacts so she’ll have to rely on her in-person friends. This time they can be assigned to certain tasks as well as provide hints. Everyone has their own specialized hints that the other characters won’t know a thing about.
Just for the sake of clarification, most people in the area do know about the treasure left by Mr.Austin. Most people don’t believe in it anymore, some believe that it belongs to the brothers (if it does exist), and other think it’s finder’s keepers.
P.S. Sorry for breaking Frank’s leg but Joe gets hurt the twice as much as he does so it’s only fair that he sometimes it’s his fault that they can’t go camping. tbh with their mysteries they camp like once a week, they have nothing to complain about.
