Savannah grey brick can be found all throughput the garden of @officialsorrelweed . It's made from hardened river silt, and is a very special sort of time capsule. You see, these bricks were made by slaves, who there is no record of, no name, no description, no history. What we do have however, is their fingerprints, forever captured in these bricks. "So, this one lady comes up, 'I love your outfit, I did the ghost tour last night.' And she showed me this picture. In the picture, in between the trees over there, was an orb that looked like a face. She actually caught it from here. I didn’t take the picture. I show this one on my ghost tour, and I thought it was a very good picture. I asked her, 'is there any way you can send that to me?' So, she sends me the picture. I started looking at it when I got home. She not only caught that orb there, but also caught the little boy who actually peeks out behind the little bushes there. But also, in the corner of the picture, there was a woman. The silhouette of a woman was standing there, who I think was Molly. Of course, I’m showing this to my ghost tourists and three days go by. And I get a text from her. She says, 'Can I please call you, Carrie? It is of upmost importance.’ So, she calls me and says, ‘Carrie, I have not slept for three days. Something followed me home from the house, and it is a dark figure standing in the corner of my bedroom and he won’t let me sleep.’ She was freaking out, to be honest with you. She said, ‘Have you been showing the picture to people?’ I said, 'oh yes I have.' Basically, I told her, I won’t show the picture until I get your approval. Then, she asked me how to get rid of the ghost. I pretty much told her, you can smudge your house which involves burning the sage to push the bad spirits out, get a holy man to come bless your house, and if that don’t work, call me back 'cause I know a guy who knows a guy who will get rid of the spirit for a nominal fee. So, 'bout two weeks go by. Mind you, I have not been showing the picture. I am a woman of my word. And she shows up here at the house. She comes to the gate, ‘Sorrel, Mrs Sorrel, I just wanted to let you know that smudgin’ worked.' Mind you, the woman actually lived in Pennsylvania, but she showed up here two weeks later to let me know that the smudgin’ worked. The gardens of @officialsorrelweed are filled with oyster shells. Much of the city was built on a type of concrete called tabby, made from crushing oyster shells and burning them to create lime.
