Lost in the Tundra
          { @soresuandsnark }
♔—- “I’m not sure we should be doing this,” Ulla murmured from her place beside her tiny-yet-older brother. Loki had been the same size for centuries and he’d been considered a fully grown adult for quite some time now. It didn’t seem that the eldest prince would ever grow to meet even the smallest amongst the Jotun people. Ulla was not much younger than Loki, but she towered over Loki, to the point where Loki could stack a clone of himself on top of her.
Loki gave her sister an annoyed glare from down below. “This was your idea, Ulla. You’re the one that insisted that we ought to practice,” he pointed out.
“I know, but... whatever we’re meddling with doesn’t feel right.”
“We’re creating a portal? What’s so wrong about that?” Loki asked, refusing to relent on the annoyance in his eyes.
Ulla sighed softly, giving her brother a bashful look. Judging from their size difference, anyone would think that Ulla was the more powerful and intimidating one, but Loki’s gifts in magic outranked her’s. He was small, yes, but he was strong with his craft and he was more intelligent than anyone she knew. Not to mention, his charm went a long way in making up for his lack of height and his silver-tongue was a dangerous weapon all its own. If nothing else, she respected her brother and held him in the highest regards. She didn’t like when he looked at her like that.
“I don’t know, Loki,” she finally admitted. “Whatever we’ve managed to break through to feels foreign... wrong.”
“Of course, it does. Neither of us has ever had much of a chance to explore any realms beyond Jotunheim. How are we supposed to know what to expect on the other side?” There were a few times when Loki and Ulla were brave enough to shapeshift and sneak through existing bridges between Jotunheim and other realms, but they never really mingled and they were far too afraid to wander too far away from the tunnels that would lead them home.
But something did feel off about this portal. Although it was completed--Loki could literally stick his hand through and his hand would appear in some other realm--he couldn’t actually see anything about the existing world on the other side. No sound, no nothing.
At least until he heard a young man say, “Obi-Wan, could you listen to me for once? I don’t think this is a good idea. Something about this place feels wrong. Let’s just get out of here, okay? We should--whoa!”
Before Anakin could finish his thought, he stepped through the portal on accident. He couldn’t see it, he could only sense a very strong and bizarre shift in the Force of the planet they landed on and the second he slipped through the unseen doorway, he tripped and tumbled right down into the snow. “What in the Force...” he grumbled as he attempted to right himself up, only to come face to face with two blue creatures with intricate markings running along their basically bare bodies and horns protruding from their heads. Most noticeably, one was massive, while the other was more manageable to his size.

💋✋
Anakin’s heart was thundering in his chest and his eyes were wide as he stared at Obi-Wan. He was almost sure that whatever apparatus he was connected to in this infirmary was going wild with his vitals rocketing well above where they should be.
But how could he feel anything but shock and wonder when Obi-Wan--Obi-Wan--had just kissed his hand.
No matter how many times he might have dreamed of this sort of thing, there was no way he could anticipate this. It never would be real, he’d told himself a thousand different times. Now it was, and a part of Anakin wondered if he was just dreaming.
“Wh-what...?”

Things finally were starting to calm down in Anakin Skywalkers life - or as much as was possible given his reckless nature and when raising twins. Luckily he did not only have his wife around but also Obi-Wan. Some might call the relationship the three of them had complicated but Anakin did not . He was perfectly happy, surrounded by the people he loved. Their arrangement might seem unusual to others but Anakin had stopped caring a long time ago about what others thought.
Yet as time moved forward Anakin was becoming aware that something was off. He couldn’t quite pinpoint exactly what it was. It were small things he noticed, nothing really serious. Just things that seem to be make him even more different then other people his age. He was having difficulties explaining it to Padmé, perhaps because she didn’t know as much about the Force, so instead he decided to turn to Obi-Wan for help.
“Obi-Wan?” The blonde called slipping inside the room where he was currently doing… Well what was he even doing? He was not sure. “Do you have time right now? I want to talk about something… If not I can come back later.”

Entwined Souls
@soresuandsnark
The numbness in his voice, the way he hunched up and made himself small, like he wanted nothing more than to vanish, cut at ObiWan like a vibroblade. All that pain was spilling over into the Force, despite Anakin’s probable attempts to prevent it.
His Padawan was hurting, and ObiWan had no idea what to do about it.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered. “I truly am, Anakin. I’m so sorry.”
(continued from here)
Anakin kept his expression as neutral as he could and clamped down what shields he had over his emotions. Obi-Wan didn’t want him, and that was more than enough to break his heart on its own.  His master’s apologies didn’t do anything to help with how he felt.
He didn’t want Obi-Wan to feel guilty. He wanted him to realize that maybe, just maybe, it would be okay for them to forget what the Order said about attachments. It was just human to need other people, damnit!
“I’ll get over it,” he said bitterly. “I’ll have to.”

❛❛ Please, believe me. You are not my soulmate. You can’t be. ❜❜
Anakin tried to not be disappointed. It was really hard to do, but he tried. He looked down at the mark on his wrist which so perfectly matched that on the wrist of the copper-haired man across from him. It couldn’t be a mistake; could it? His mom used to tell him stories of soulmates, and she’d always said it was a perfect match. Why would this be a mistake?
“What do you mean ‘you can’t be’?” he demanded after a minute of agonized silence. “Is there something wrong with me that makes you not want me as your soulmate?”
There probably was, too. Knowing the way he was, his personality problems and mental health issues, Anakin wouldn’t blame anyone for being upset with getting stuck with him as a soulmate.

Send A Color - Smut Starters
BROWN: My muse pins your muse against a tree while hiking
They’d been hiking for what seemed like hours. It was probably not nearly as long as Anakin thought it was, but he had never been good at what Obi-Wan termed “decent exercise”. He hated just walking for the sake of walking. He hated hiking to escape Separatist notice even more.
Yet, he couldn’t complain about the fact that Obi-Wan was alone with him. It was just the two of them, trying to get away from a group of droids. He was very tempted to take advantage of this…
Hell, might as well!
With a low growl, he grabbed Obi-Wan’s wrist and tugged him deeper into the woods. Pinning the older man against a large tree, he cupped his gloved hand over Obi-Wan’s cheek and kissed him. This wasn’t a tender or delicate kiss, but a very desperate and hungry kiss.

A Kiss on the Hand...
continued from here
He blushed darkly at the surprise in Obi-Wan’s expression, but he couldn’t help it. There was a strange sort of power that his former master had over him, and he didn’t exactly have the words to describe it. It had always been that way, since he was first given to Obi-Wan as his apprentice.
Maye it was wrong, by Jedi standards, to be so attached, but Anakin never wanted to lose his master.
“Thanks,” he mumbled.

[hourglass+ for meme]
Anakin was desperate. Somehow--he still didn’t know how--those he loved no longer remembered who he was. How it happened wasn’t important right now. What was important was trying to make the others remember who he was. Padme wouldn’t remember him without a lot more work, but Obi-Wan--
He could convince Obi-Wan. He was sure of that.
First, there was their Master and Apprentice bond. Neither of them had severed it when he became a Knight, and he had never been more grateful for that fact than at this moment. Now, maybe, he could at least try to prove who he was.
Reaching out into that bond, eagerly reaching for Obi-Wan’s mind, he stared at the other man to watch his expression.
“I’m your former apprentice,” he said fiercely. “You have to remember me.”

Loki/Obi-Wan? I seem to remember you saying something about Loki/Obi-Wan at some point? Or Loki/Anakin?
send me a ship and I’ll tell you – status; accepting
Loki/Obi-Wan:
vomit / don’t ship / okay / cute / adorable / perfect / beyond flawless / hot damn / screaming and crying / i will ship them in hell
At a glance, I’d assume that this ship doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to people, but @soresuandsnark and I ended up shipping it a long time ago and we’ve been running with it ever since. Sometimes it’s just the two of them and sometimes they’re in a poly with a third person, but I love this ship a lot. Loki and Obi-Wan seem to relate to one another on a level of pure understanding, once they muck through all the bullshit that they present to other people. They both understand self-loathing, abandonment, never being good enough while always trying to be the best, and they each suffer from their own form of PTSD. They were able to come together over their shared issues and help heal one another on a mutual level. It’s a really beautiful thing to see and I love that ship a lot, though it hasn’t shown up on Tumblr much. It usually pops up in our skype shenanigans.
Loki/Anakin:
vomit / don’t ship / okay / cute / adorable  / perfect / beyond flawless / hot damn / screaming and crying / i will ship them in hell
I haven’t actually gotten a chance to write opposite an Anakin rper to test out just how well this pairing would go, but it’s become a guilty pleasure of mine to think about and I wouldn’t mind exploring it. Anakin and Loki have quite a few similarities and parallels and I think in some ways, they would be a fantastic match for one another and in other ways, I think they’d be a tragedy waiting to happen and I’m here for all of that.

Heated Azure
{ @soresuandsnark -- continued from (x) }
Jotunheim, he’d been surprised to discover, had some truly lovely hot springs. The palace he and Anakin had been brought to boasted several underground chambers given over for using them, and when he’d asked a servant about bathing facilities he’d been led to a very large room dotted with with springs. Their sides had been sculpted to form natural-looking benches and seats, encrusted with colorful mineral deposits.
The depths of these had proven to be something of a challenge, given that they were designed for the use of beings between two and three times the height of a human, but he managed to find a cooler spring with shallower seats that he supposed was meant more for the use of children. It was not, perhaps, quite as hot as he would have preferred, but the fact that the children’s pool was cooler than the adults was an interesting tidbit that hinted that perhaps younger Jotuns couldn’t regulate their temperatures as well as their elders and therefore couldn’t tolerate such hot water, and pondering that and other aspects of these fascinating new aliens was enough to keep him occupied as he washed off and scrubbed his hair before settling to soak.
There was no one else using the springs at the moment, which disappointed him slightly. He wouldn’t have minded a chance for some casual conversation with some other Jotuns, and had in fact been entirely willing to let them approach him with questions, making use of the more informal setting. It would have afforded a useful opportunity to break the ice, as it were.
Oh well. At least he could still soak.
He leaned back a little and tilted his head up, studying the steam-shrouded ceiling of the chamber high above. It looked as if it had been painted with pigments derived from the same mineral deposits that coated the springs, cheerful oranges and golds intermixed with copper-greens and blues. It was nice in here, the one place outside Loki’s quarters that were actually warm.
♔—- He’d come back to his room after a private meeting with his mother to find Anakin sitting by the fire, alone, looking over some of the artifacts and notes sprawled out across Loki’s massive desk. When Loki asked the young Jedi where his partner was, Anakin responded with a simple explanation of Obi-Wan wanted to bathe and wandered out to ask the nearest palace resident how he would accomplish that.
Which, in truth, confused Loki. He’d given the humans free reign of his rooms so long as they were respectful of his things and didn’t damage anything. As long as they’d been there, they hadn’t crossed any lines aside from Anakin’s poorly worded questions. And, in truth, those didn’t even really bother Loki. They seemed to bother Obi-Wan more than anything. So why hadn’t Obi-Wan used his private bath? It was appropriately sized for someone Loki’s height and it was far hotter than the pools designed for younger Jotuns.
But it did put Loki into a favorable situation and okay, maybe he was using Obi-Wan’s current position as an excuse to find the human in a more... intimate setting.
Anakin and Obi-Wan were curious about him and his people, but Loki was just as curious about the odd Jedi that stumbled into his realm by accident. So, he excused himself and made his way to the underground chambers where the common springs were located. He wasn’t surprised to see that it was mostly empty. Most of the palace residents and staff preferred to bathe in the early morning or late at night.
“Obi-Wan?” Loki called, not at all surprised to find that the Jedi had lowered himself into one of the springs made for children. He wouldn’t comfortably fit in one of the larger ones, unless he fancied swimming while bathing. “What in the Nine are you doing down here?” he asked as he walked up to the edge of the pool. “My private hot spring is significantly hotter than these pools and was carved for someone my size. You could have just used that instead of coming all the way down here.”
As he came to the edge of the tub, he got his first really good look at what a human looked like without all of their layers. Sure, the water distorted the image, but the general idea was still very much on display. For some reason, it hadn’t entirely clicked with him that he’d likely find Obi-Wan completely naked, but that was the state that most people were in when they bathed, wasn’t it? He couldn’t help but stare and, shamefully, not at Obi-Wan’s face. Light heat rose to his cheeks, which caused a faint purple color to break out across his flesh, a Jotun’s form of blushing. He just hoped it wasn’t bright enough to be too noticeable.
He cleared his throat once he realized he was probably staring for a bit too long. “If you were hoping for socializing, you certainly came at the wrong time,” he finally added.
