So, is it just me, or does the kh3 manga looking sad? 😢

Don’t get me wrong, Amano is an incredibly talented artist and is one of my role models, but the KH3 shot looks kind of computer generated, and KH2 just has so much passion in it. Where did the magical feeling run off to? I feel like a lot of it has to do with the hair. I’ve been a bit curious about the hair in KH3 suddenly detailing and chunking out every strand? I love the way the old mangas made character’s hair so flippy and full of personality with looser lines.

KH3 vs. KH2

See the difference? The lines in KH3 are confident, but there’s also so many of them and they’re so much stiffer than kh2. KH2 Sora is much more flowy and natural with less lines but more emotion and leaves room for imagination. Don’t get me wrong! I actually love kh3 Sora’s expression in the screenshot I chose, I think it’s cute!

And the backgrounds… I’m a bit sad on the backgrounds.

KH3 vs. KH2

KH3 just looks kind of stressful and again, computer-like. I understand though, Kingdom Hearts is a pretty old series, and Amano has to be so tired working on these mangas. They’re very difficult to create! I can’t even imagine! 😔 And we’re lucky to even have a KH3 manga!!!! But still, I’m very sad.

We got a little bit of the ✨Amano sparkle✨ with this manga, but I miss the way that he told the Kingdom Hearts story with so much comedy and cuteness in past works. And I’m also really sad that we didn’t get a super heartfelt Ghibli tears manga seasalt trio reunion from Amano!!!! 😭

Anyway! I’m just a huge fan of the kingdom hearts mangas! 💕💕 I’m happy that we have a kh3 manga, even if it’s not perfect! 🙂‍↕️

IT’S ALWAYS A BLIND GAMBLE TRYING TO GUESS OR BET WHEN SORA & HIS RAGTAG GROUP OF FRIENDS WOULD DROP IN. More often then not, he’s taken to simply saying when something goes wrong or feels off — with that kid’s timing . . . he was always scarily perfect in knowing just when to show up. Fate was a strange thing, something he tried not to think on too deeply, but there was no denying that with his presence in their lives from years before, to how he’d continually managed to help them despite not knowing a damned thing of any of them . . . It felt predetermined all things considered. Even despite the chance of being a missed encounter altogether, had just the simplest thing been done differently.

Not a fun thing to spend too much time thinking on, so the gun-blader makes quick work in tredding his mental way back to safer, more well known waters, eyeing the bouncy trio as they mill about in front of Merlin’s home, exchanging excited chatter between the others on what their latest journey was. It’s endearing in a way, reassuring to know he was finally growing to be someone strong enough, as capable to wield his found power with the keyblade as he was. Leon didn’t need to worry. For all the bumps & trials faced, every encounter only helped him learn to tackle things with more confidence.

To say he’s proud, silently beaming where he stands just off to the side with his own soft hint of a smile in place as he watches Sora animatedly talk to Aerith — it’s an understatement.

Excusing himself with little more then a quiet grunt, he gives the flower peddler a knowing look, a light nod traded for the surprise plan to be pushed into motion. Send the Key-Bearer his way when they were done so he could gift him something to hopefully help aid him in his future ventures.

Leon isn’t a sentimental man. Not normally, but it’s hard not to admit there came an ease in wavering when around the Islander’s Sunny sort of optimism. It’s infectious, & though he knows he’s capable of handling whatever new obstacles will come his way, the former mercenary still worries. Still has his own deep set fears in how long he can hold onto that rare form of unwavering strength.

He just hopes the small, on a whim gift he’d procured will help in some way to remind the other he’s more than just a fighting machine. More than just a miracle-working problem solver. That he matters just as much to others as they do him even if it’s never often said.

Retrieving the leather bound book, Leon makes for the Bailey where he decides to wait until Aerith directed the other his way, gloved fingers fidgeting with the decorated cover in a comfortable silence.
