Krittika Queerness

While astrology, including the nakshatras, doesn’t explicitly label traits like queerness, certain archetypal themes and energies associated with nakshatras, including Krittika, can lend themselves to narratives of identity exploration, fluidity, and nonconformity. Krittika nakshatra, with its intense themes of transformation, individuality, and sharp discernment, can resonate with the experiences of queerness.

The knife representing Krittika, cuts through societal conventions and illusions, finding truth as that is the theme of the nakshatra itself. Honestly, their relationship was most definitely homoerotic, and I see a lot of Krittika natives in these types of roles.

Lady Bridgerton—played by miss Hannah Dodd is a very queer coded character, it’s not yet confirmed but it is said that in the book she falls in love with a woman. An if you are able to pick up on anything queer coded, you would have noticed the longing looks between her character and her husband’s sister. Their relationship is also canon, hopefully my predictions are true though.

The Confessions of Frannie Langton (2022), Sophie Cookson plays a lesbian that seduces Frannie Langton.

I understand it has been discussed that Krittika is passionate about the other gender, but Agni is both destructive and creative, embodying dualities that mirror the complexities of queer identities. This fluidity can manifest as openness to exploring gender, relationships, and self-expression outside conventional binaries. Krittika’s ruling deity, Agni, represents transformative energy that transcends rigid structures, which aligns well with the spectrum of queerness.

1/ The Moonlight/Moonwood Tales concept : Based on the lore that came with the werewolves pack, I imagined a story that would explain everything between the werewolves, vampires and spellcasters. I actually prepared a plan for season 1 ... Maybe I'll post it next year ?

2/ The stories I planned for this year but so far, only Melodia is still going. DH3 will start next year sadly and Another Side has been cancelled because of lack of time and a bad computer.

3/ Aïssa in the city : a special photoshoot/lookbook with some items I love and also a small interview including infos about DH2 and 3. It's also a way for me to show more about Aïssa's modeling life. The title is also a reference to the upcoming spin-off about her ...

4/ The DH3 women and the DH3 gang because I want you to love them when the story will start !

5/ The EDGEWAVE fest organised by @aniraklova ♥ It surely was my favourite event this year ! What an awesome idea it was and a lot of people did amazing stuff during 2 weeks ! You saved our summer for sure ! I used Candy Bher as a reference to Another Side and MOON who's a character in DH3 ...

6/ Toxic Don ! A potential new Another Side story I've been thinking about years now ... It would be fun !

7/ The Ghostface DH3 edits : It's a reference to DH3 and Scream of course; the plot will be a tribute to Wes Craven actually !

8/ The Melodia musical video part : it actually was awesome and fun to create but it took me an entire month just for this little video. I decided to stick to a more boring regular way to post this story. I also don't have a lot of readers so far so I guess they will forgive me. I still see it as one of my biggest achievement here though so check it if you can ^^ I love how the episode turns into a musical movie

9/ @windbrook's Slashed Challenge : it was one of my favourite CAS challenge of all time ^^ I'm a huge slasher fan ! It was perfect for simblreen and people created awesome characters and stories !

17. Did any books surprise you with how good they were?

Quite a few! I read a lot of trashy romances, so there are always at least a couple gems in the mix - My Dear Henry by Kalynn Bayron, The Duke Starts a Scandal by Sophie Jordan, Role Playing by Cathy Yardley - but there were also some other standouts, And Break the Pretty Kings by Lena Jeong and Salt & Broom by Sharon Lynn Fisher particularly.

20. What was your most anticipated release? Did it meet your expectations?

I don't tend to read a ton of new releases, tbh. This year it was probably A Day of Fallen Night by Samantha Shannon, and it more than met expectations. I'm not generally a fan of prequels, but it was amazing.

One of the most original time-travel thrillers since 12 Monkeys. A brilliant subversion of the Time Paradox trope, with enough plot twists to keep you entertained until well after the movie is finished. Predestination is an amazing movie with great performances from Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook. It’s a movie that will feel like Inception, when it comes to messing with your mind and barely anyone has heard of it. It is highly underrated and unknown, sadly.

Serenity is a futuristic sci-fi film that serves as a feature-length continuation of the story-line from the TV program Firefly (2002–2003). The story revolves around the captain (Nathan Fillion) and crew of the titular space vessel that operate as space outlaws, running cargo and smuggling missions throughout the galaxy. They take on a mysterious young psychic girl and her brother, the girl carrying secrets detrimental to the intergalactic government, and soon find themselves being hunted by a nefarious assassin (Chiwetel Ejiofor). The first feature-length film from Joss Whedon (The Avengers), Serenity is a lively and enjoyable adventure, replete with large-scale action sequences, strong characterizations and just the right touch of wry humor. An enjoyable viewing experience that stands alone without demanding that you have familiarity with the original program beforehand.

In the year of the Netflix TV Show Maniac, another absurdist title stole critics’ hearts. Sorry to Bother You is a movie set in an alternate reality, where capitalism and greed are accentuated. Lakeith Stanfield (Atlanta) is a guy called Cassius who struggles to pay his bills. However, when at a tele-marketing job an old-timer tells him to use a “white voice”, he starts moving up the ranks of his bizarre society. A really smart movie that will be mostly enjoyed by those who watch it for its entertaining value, and not so much for its commentary. It is like a Black Mirror episode stretched into a movie.

Ex Machina is the directorial debut of Alex Garland, the writer of 28 Days Later (and 28 Weeks Later). It tells the story of Caleb (Domhnall Gleeson from About Time), an IT developer who is invited by a billionaire CEO to participate in a groundbreaking experiment — administering a Turing test to a humanoid robot called Ava (Alicia Vikander). Meeting the robot with feelings of superiority at first, questions of trust and ethics soon collide with the protagonist’s personal views. While this dazzling film does not rely on them, the visual effects and the overall look-feel of Ex Machina are absolutely stunning and were rightly picked for an Academy Award. They make Ex Machina feel just as casually futuristic as the equally stylish Her and, like Joaquin Phoenix, Gleeson aka Caleb must confront the feelings he develops towards a machine, despite his full awareness that ‘she’ is just that. This is possibly as close to Kubrick as anyone got in the 21st century. Ex Machina is clever, thrilling, and packed with engaging ideas.
