hi pookie wookie boo sorry for spamming ur inbox constantly im a deprived human being but…
HARIN X ANY CHARACTER OF UR CHOICE 😍 PLEASE
I’m nothing if not selfish so I wanted to do friendship hcs betwen her and Lenora. Hey, dealer’s choice and the dealer has chosen her disaster lesbian daughter
HARIN KIM AND LENORA HARKER HCS
Lenora is a very very simple creature, she sees a pretty lady and she tries to get in her pants. It’s her main function. So when she first saw Harin, she was very concerned with the fact she’d never spoken to this total babe before. She walked over and put the charm on, pulling out her best and most gay pickup lines only for Harin to politely turn her down and tell her she was straight, and seeing someone. “That’s very kind.. but I dont swing that way” Hm…. You sure?” “Yeah” “damn okay, my fault, slime”
Harin is the kinda girl Lenora needs as a friend, she’s kind of like a puppy that hasn’t been house trained. She’s far too excitable, she needs a steady hand to nudge her in the right direction or she could end up getting seriously hurt someday. Harin, being everyone’s personal therapist, helps Lenora find a way to channel all that leftover energy in a way that doesnt involve throwing herself off of the roof, or doing bike tricks with no helmet.
Once she becomes better friends with Harin, Lenora begins to take better care of her car. She wants to impress Sonya ( @cyanityy ‘s little lady) with her sudden encyclopaedic knowledge of car care, because god knows she’s too broke to keep placating her with Taco Bell in return for car repairs. She’s getting the hang of it… slowly. There’s still a lot of essential stuff she doesn’t really know, but she knows how to check her oil levels and change the wiper fluid now.
In the event that Harin’s skilful therapizing doesn’t work, she takes pity on Lenora when she gets injured. Usually she’s splayed out on the concrete like some kind of Skyrim ragdoll, often with just some light bruising but sometimes the falls aren’t so great and she ends up breaking something. No matter how much Lenora is worried about looking attractive, she wont stop the shorter girl from peeling her lanky body off of the pavement and taking her to the nurse’s office or the ER “You okay?” “Hm? Yeah ahaahah Im cool” “…” “…” “Need a ride to the hospital?” “Yes please, I think I ruptured something”
Harin quells her fears about going into her senior year, she seems so confident, and she’s able to balance a relationship, clique life and her studies. Lenora worries about her life at Bullworth a lot, being a gay woman with a sports scholarship she’s really concerned about the consequences of being out could have on her life. This only gets worse after fire in the gym, when she unfortunately loses both her legs. Harin arriving at the hospital, despite pushback from the other Greasers, was one of the nicest things anyone from any other clique had done for her. It gave her the strength to fight on.

instagram
instagram

When I close my eyes and imagine the interior of my childhood refrigerator, certain items are always there: blue-glass bottles of seltzer, Breakstone whipped butter, a hunk of (kosher) salami, and cottage cheese. Why cottage cheese? I don’t know. My mother liked to eat it. As the daughter of Polish Jewish immigrants, she grew up with it. She would often start her day with a cut-up orange and a scoop of cottage cheese. And when she made her weekly foray to Waldbaum’s, our local supermarket, cottage cheese was always one of her purchases.
I never thought of it as Jewish, per se, but when Tablet came out with their book last year, The 100 Most Jewish Foods, I was bemused, but not shocked, to see that cottage cheese made the list. Food writer Gabriella Gershenson described cottage cheese as “the New World version of pot cheese, curd cheese…” The Nosher contributor Sonya Sanford, whose parents were born in the former Soviet Union, remembers eating noodles and cottage cheese several times each week during her childhood. And Leah Koenig, in her recently published The Jewish Cookbook, describes noodles and farmer’s cheese/cottage cheese as Ashkenazi comfort foods.
I recently did an informal survey of Facebook friends and Instagram followers about how they feel towards cottage cheese, and I received passionate responses filled with either nostalgia or horror. Many hate it — especially those who had it forced on them as the ultimate diet food — but there are plenty who remember it lovingly, mixed with canned peaches, or with noodles, butter, and pepper, or schmeared on matzah and topped with jelly. Or, as April, one of the respondents, said — “Don’t judge,” she begged — it’s even good combined with broad egg noodles and ketchup.
While I shunned it for years (such a rebel!), I now find myself buying cottage cheese quite a lot. After all, cottage cheese lasts for weeks in the refrigerator, it’s high in protein, and it’s a quick lunch or breakfast combined with savory or sweet elements. It also reminds me of my mother.
To get you through the next chunk of time, here are some recipes with cottage cheese that are quick to make, delicious, and wholesome. And a scoop of it just may bring you back in time.
Broccoli cottage cheese pancakes from Adeena Sussman
Noodles and cottage cheese from Sonya Sanford
Cottage cheese waffles from Busy in Brooklyn
Sweet, rich noodle kugel from Tori Avey
Polish cottage cheese dip from Kim Severson
Simple sweet pancakes from AllRecipes.com
Cheese and tomato lasagna from Cook’s Illustrated Magazine

—Oh, no no. Soy actriz.
Bueno, me retiro.
No peso tanto ¿O si?...
¿Me esperabas?—
—No en realidad, voy por un café.—
—Vamos entonces.—
—No te he invitado.—____ lo miró con burla—. Además, quedaremos mal con Matthew. A él no lo invité.—
—Mejor, será una cita.—
—¿Contigo?—
No tienes 14.

130. Poster Girl, by Veronica Roth
Owned: No, library Page count: 272 My summary: Sonya used to be a poster girl. Literally - her face was on the posters for the Delegation, the people who used to run this country before the uprising. Now she's locked away in the Aperture, an open prison for those who used to support the Delegation and their families. She was seventeen when she first set foot through the gates, a decade ago. But now, she could see release. All she has to do is find Grace Ward, a girl taken from her parents at the age of three - a girl who has disappeared. Simple, right? But nothing in Sonya's world is ever simple… My rating: 4/5
So I must admit, I've been staring at this book for a while. It was sitting on the shelf, at a library I cover at a lot, looking at me. (Literally.) And I kept wandering past it, reading the blurb, putting it back down. And finally, I decided to give it a chance. I didn't connect the dots of who Veronica Roth was, when I started reading. Only when I got to the 'about the author' section did I realise that she's the Divergent author. I won't hold that against her - I didn't like Divergent at all when I read it as a teen, but anyone with even the faintest idea of what Divergent is knows all the talking points about that, there's no need to rehash them here. This, like Divergent, is a dystopia, but it's a more recently written dystopia for adults, rather than the caught-in-the-zeigeist YA dystopia that Divergent was. So, it's only fair to evaluate it on its own merits. And how did it fare? Pretty well, actually!
Sonya is an interesting protagonist. Imprisoned at the age of seventeen for her family's role in the Delegation, Sonya is an incredibly opaque person. Even narrated as this book is from inside of her head, we don't get a look-in at what Sonya is thinking and how much she knows. Part of this is her blocking out her past, of course. We see, for example, the family around the table with yellow pills in their hands long before we get the context for what that moment was and what actually happened, as it's not something that Sonya wants to think about. Her true motivations, too, for getting involved with solving the disappearance of a young girl go unmentioned until the end, partially because she wants to block the memories out. But for all she's hard to pin down, I don't think that Sonya was ever a bad or uninteresting character. She was determined, and the slow drip of information that is revealed to the reader about who she is and why she does what she does is interesting, it keeps the reader guessing without ever making them feel like the story is deliberately withholding just to be dramatic. And part of Sonya's blankness was justified by her role in the Delegation; she wasn't smart or pretty or talented like her sister, she was being groomed to be an obedient little wife. Of course she's not had the room to understand herself and who she is. She's not been allowed to, between the Delegation and prison.
And speaking of, let's talk dystopia. We never get any flashbacks per se, or much exposition as to what the Delegation was in its heyday. The modern day, that we see, is sort of the run-down remnants of a post-uprising future - the Triumvirate, who are now in power, bury the old and punish anything that remains, with Sonya and her fellow prisoners the last of those loyal to the old world. From what we get, the Delegation is a Big-Brother-type surveillance state - people are watched constantly through Insights, devices implanted into their eyes that work as computers, able to search and play music and watch movies. They gain DesCoin for doing things the system likes, and lose it for doing things it hates. This is actual currency - doing something big, like turning in someone working against the Delegation, gets the big bucks, whereas being polite to a stranger can earn a little pocket change. But that currency can also be 'spent' on disagreeable actions; smoking a cigarette would cost DesCoin, so if you made healthier eating choices, you could in effect 'buy' those cigarettes back, and lose no Desirability. I think stepping back a way from the nitty-gritty of how the system worked exactly fits this mind of narrative well - we only need to see the parts that still affect Sonya and other characters, and everything else is fed to us organically when it comes up in the story. It's not a subtle dystopia by any means, but it does the job it sets out to do.
The actual central mystery of the book, what happened to this little girl, takes something of a backseat to what's going on with Sonya, which makes sense in a way as they're intertwined. Sonya's not really trying to save her for the kid's sake, after all - she's doing this for herself, though the reader's understanding of her motivations shifts over time. Still, it's compelling. Though I guessed there was something more to the tale than what we were being told, I didn't anticipate how it actually shook out, and how Sonya chooses to end her part in the mystery was a very good conclusion to her arc. It's a world of grey morality and no easy answers, and Sonya chooses to do the hard thing for the first time in her life and make a decision for herself. It was a very satisfying, if bittersweet, conclusion, and I overall liked it a lot!
Next, a tale of magic, monsters - and pirates.

Maris cast, or at least anyone interested in answering.
If you were given elemental powers, which element would you pick (and why, if you feel like elaborating)?
Elements aren't limited to the classical western/eastern elements, even though they count. But you can pick "weird" elements as well.
Hikaru: Lightning, obviously, that's kind of my thing. I mean, my name itself means light, but in practice I'm a lightning user, just like Pikachu. Also we have a Light and Darkness user in Loaño, just want to throw that out there.
Naota: Hmm, Juniper isn't here but I get the feeling she's wood or plant elemental. But I can't say for sure. Any thoughts Juniper? @fluffybunnybadass
Fletcher: I like birds so I kind of want Wind but also I kind of feel some attachment to Darkness for no particular reason... so maybe that?
Ham: Hmm Water, Wind, Electricity combo. I don't care if three feels unfair, that's what feels right to me. No particular reason really.
Justin: Honestly, I feel like I'd be a Non-Elemental type. Like a Normal type in Pokémon. Just don't feel much affinity either way.
Aron: I'm Darkness all around, guess we're going some overlap. But unless you want us to all get really weird, it's only natural.
Erica: Grass type all the way. I love plants.
Naota: Well if we're all gravitating toward Pokémon types I want to be a Fairy. Maybe. Either that or a Cat Type. Cat Type works. I just vibe with those options.
Ham: Oh, maybe I can be Dragon then.
Yukari: Hmm, Insect maybe? Or Light~ if we break back away from Pokémon. Oh maybe I can be Astral, like in Cassette Beasts.
Montana: Hmmm, really no clue.
Alicia: Me neither.
Yuu: Time. In several Tales of games, Time is an Element. Or at least one of the games features Time as an Element. Even I don't have perfect memory.
Montana: Oh I like Time.
Alicia: Same.
Yukari: Wait, wasn't there also an Elemental Element in Eternia? I mean, other than a dumb sounding name that might be fun.
Yuu: Yes, it had an association with Space, as in spacial magic. Might be perfect for the teleporting Horse Holder.
Naota: Oh that does work, I was thinking maybe Wind, but Space works too. Or maybe Fighting. I mean, nothing. It'd be her call anyway.
@wingedcatgirl
Sonya: I... feel like I have an association with Darkness at this point, though I am not particularly fond of it. You know what, I pick Bubblegum. I'm a Bubblegum type.
Naota: Bubbles are cool- oh maybe I can be Peppermint Elemental. Or a dual type. Peppermint Fairy.
Carmen: Oh this all sounds fun. I think I want to be either Fairy like in Pokémon or borrow from Cassette Beasts and be an Astral Type.
Daichi: Just gonna be boring and say Earth.
Daisuke: I'm a fighting type.
Arc: I feel like the obvious answer would be Water type. I mean, two of my 'aumakua are se creatures. But I don't know if I vibe with it that much.
Owen: If Inari was here he'd probably sya Fighting type. Either that or he'd try to come up with something super cool. Like God Type. I myself feel like leaning toward Psychic Type.
Mr. Aldaine: I like fishing, so I have to say Water.
Roxanne: Is there a Healing type specifically, I want to Heal people. Err that's usually Light based I guess. I just want to heal people.
Velicia: Wow this team seems unbalanced. I guess Fire just ro round things out maybe? I don't feel particularly attached to any to be honest.
Ms. Li: I pick- Balance.

(ask game) cassie cage! 🧸 🎶 👽 💔 🪢
A headcanon about their childhood: Every day after her birthday she would go to the Briggs household to have a sleepover with Jacqui. To this day she has never answered why she preferred to have the sleepovers there as opposed to her own home but Jax and Vera never once minded.
A headcanon about music: Her headphones are always blaring either heavy metal or bimbocore. There is no in between. And it is always heard by the people around her, she describes it as her boss music because people always know when she's coming if they hear muffled yet really loud Ayesha Erotica or smth
A headcanon about a weird quirk of theirs: Maybe not a quirk per se but more of just a thing that only she's really able to do and that is getting even the most stoic former kombatants (or even Raiden) to prank Johnny. Glitter bombs from Kuai Liang, Cargos and hawaiian shirts from Raiden etc
An angsty headcanon: Ooohohoh She has beds with space underneath them to hide away from the outside world as a habit from when Sonya and Johnny used to fight. The powers make it worse because the senses are enhanced too (another headcanon)
A headcanon about their family: Johnny never asks them to join him for the occasional red carpet or interview he gets but Sonya and Cassie always tag along. for moral support they say. Cassie just wants to cause controversy and Sonya needs the break. It's rare though, he hasn't gotten an interview since Cassie's birth was announced and he broke his nose on the stage by falling up the stairs.

Little Drabble thing with @cyanityy ‘s gorgeous girl Sonya! Based on a convo we had a few days back
“Are you fixing it?” “Hold your horses, I’m trying my best”
Lenora’s VW beetle was jacked up in the middle of a parking lot just outside Old Bullworth Vale. Lenora was on the hood, tanning and flicking through an old copy of playboy that she was only vaguely interested in, Sonya was underneath tinkering with it as best she could. It was a hot day in deep summer. Even for the East coast, it was pretty toasty. She pushed her sunglasses up on top of her head and swivelled so that she was dangling just above where Sonya was working, the ends of her long blonde curls just barely brushing over the worn grey of Sonya’s jumpsuit “Can it be fixed?” She asked in a tired drawl, watching intently as her friend fiddled with her car’s suspension. Honestly it was a wonder it hadn’t gone out long ago. Lenora was very generous, she let all her friends drive her car basically whenever they wanted, the crux of this problem was that… all of her friends were jocks, and so they pushed her poor car to the limits, driving like they were in a police chase pretty regularly. That and also a fun game they called ‘punch the roof’ which was exactly what it sounded like- which of them could punch the roof the hardest for the longest.
Sonya wheeled herself out from under the car and looked up, she jumped a little bit realising she was nose to nose with Lenore “sure I can fix it, it’s just your suspension, its not like you blew a trans or anything” Lenora’s brows knitted together for a second. She barely understood half of what Sonya said, it was meaningless to her. She didn’t need to know what the problem was, she just needed to know it could be fixed.”excuse me?” “Just… whatever, I can fix it” Sonya rolled her eyes and rolled herself back underneath the car, Lenora lolled back over the hood, “Cool, I don’t wanna leave her here overnight in case they give her a new paint job or like… tow her or something th-” Her response was cut off by a short yelp followed by a brief bout of pained hissing a little as the hot metal gently roasted her exposed skin “Hey this is really hot” she murmured, trying to peel herself off the hood, it was a little difficult, the bikini she was in wasn’t really the most conservative, it was a lot of skin to metal contact. “You’re lying on top of a hot metal box in the middle of the day, in the middle of Summer Lenny, what did you think was gonna happen?” Sonya inquired, her voice a little muffled due to the car blocking her face. Lenora slipped off the hood and put her discarded shorts back on, and after a little bit of time spent patting them down to find the pocket with her key in, she unlocked the car “Hey, at least I dont look like I’m gonna get up and start singing greased lightning” she retorted, chuckling at her own joke as she began to root through the dashboard for her blunts. Sonya got herself out from under the car, happy that she’d fixed the suspension up as best she could which what few tools she had on her “You are such an asshole” Sonya tutted as she began going through the motions of lowering the car back down “I’m older than you I can do what I want… like page John Travolta and tell him to saddle up for a new grease movie… I always did think it could do with a remake” “You’re the worst” Sonya huffed, sliding the jack out from under the car and hauling ass to get it back into Lenora’s trunk.
Lenora turned and regarded Sonya with a look of the deepest mock offence she could muster “Heeeey… words hurt. There’s power in words Sonya… like the words ‘let’s go to the beach’ there’s a lot of emotion behind them” she gave the younger girl a crooked smile, nodding a little to herself. Sonya didn’t mind that idea so much, they were pretty close to the docks. It might be a little cooler in the water “I mean.. we’re close enough to walk” “what? no like.. a real beach with real girls and not rich losers that wont touch the sand.” “ NO, no way, by the time we get there it’ll be sunset, no chance” “What if I let you drive?” Lenora offered, knowing full well Sonya had taken quite a liking to her little car. Sonya looked down at her feet and made a small motion of false-shyness “Maaaaaaaybe I’ll consider it” “And I’ll buy you Taco Bell” “Okay okay I’m sold. Get in the car.” Lenora made a small fist-pump action and got into the passenger side, tossing Sonya the key. Sonya started up the car and backed out of the parking lot, with a lot more care and precision than Lenora (who had been driving for two years longer) could ever dream of showing. “Hey, maybe on the way you can tell me about this mysterious greaser you’re so infatuated with” Sonya slammed hard on the brake “WHAT… where did you hear about that?!?!?” “The grapevine… duh.” “What fucking grapevine?” “Just y’know… the grapevine. Don’t worry about it” “How can I not worry about that?” “Just drive the car, dumbass. I’ll get you two baja blasts if you shut up and drive” “uuuugh fine” Sonya put her foot on the gas and continued to speed out of Old Bullworth Vale, slowing only to press play on whatever CD Lenora had in the stereo, beside her Lenora laughed, pushed her sunglasses back down onto her nose and lit up her blunt. Reluctantly, after much yelling from Sonya, she rolled down a window to avoid hotboxing her younger friend. Off they drove, in search of both a beach, and a Taco Bell. Ahhh, summer nights.
