Hello, hiiii, welcome!!

It's basically just a tournament putting the (normal) playable characters in sonic the fighters against each other, mostly inspired by @themurderofsonic-knockout

The winner of the tournament will then go up against Metal Sonic!

Round 1 matchups, which will be posted in like 10 hours or so:

Amy vs Bark vs Honey

Tails vs Sonic

Knuckles vs Bean

Espio vs Fang

WELCOME TO SONIC SHIP BATTLES

One thing most people have strong opinions about in the Sonic fandom, whether they love or hate it, is shipping. Over here at Sonic Ship Battles, we love ships! And we love respectfully mashing our ships together to see which is the most popular. But we have one little problem…

…There are too damn many ships in this port!

So, instead of having one tournament, we're going to have a bunch of tournaments where we decide the best ship for each character. These are the initial tournaments we are going to run (based on the order the character first appeared):

Sonic

Dr. Eggman

Tails

Amy Rose

Knuckles

Once these initial 5 tournaments have been completed, if there is enough interest, we will carry on and make more. We definitely hope to also do tournaments for the Chaotix (including Mighty and Ray), robots in general (Metal Sonic, etc.), Shadow, Rouge, the IDW Comics and hopefully other characters and spin-off series. But we'll figure that out closer to the time

from the referee of @sonic-nonbinary-knockout and @sonic-macguffin-matchup comes a tournament inspired by an offhanded comment from another ref i forget who i'm sorry. but we're here to decide who is the least well-known character from the sonic the hedgehog franchise!

The Phantom Ruby:

Has the power to create illusions so real they actually affect you. A bruise in a dream affecting your real life body.

Requires a power source, but scales accordingly, with the source apparently not even needing to be nearby.

The wielder can hit through a super form, as displayed by heavy king in the final boss of sonic mania.

A fourth point is kinda cheating but it can also travel through time/dimensions. Shown by bringing classic from his timeline to the modern timeline.

Each one embodies the life force of its home planet

Removal will kill a planet

They can control things about the planet

Limited power
