And with that said, this song is super fitting for strordo. It definitely gives the enemies/lovers vibe with those lyrics too! Oh dear Nonny. That describes them so perfectly. In both 616 and 838 actually. Though 616 did come to mind first.

There's a lot of truth to that post. Love can be real, love can be true, and yet it just might not be enough to conquer all the factors fighting against it. That's the true tragedy, isn't it dear Nonny? To know that love is real but that it can never flourish or see its full potential when everything around it suffocates it.

It's such an underrated song and it really speaks to me how love can truly be that great love and yet...ultimately...it just doesn't end with the traditional way of the lovers living together forever. But that doesn't mean that it wasn't powerful or real. It just simply couldn't thrive with so much stacked against it. And that just grips my heart to the beat.

Watched Matilda the Musical on Netflix today and wow, this song absolutely got me to cry.

Listen to “My House” and imagine 616 Mordo escaping from his grandfather’s clutches and finding a better home.

It just kinda hit me out of nowhere too. The entire message of survival, contentment, and peace just captivates me. And it made me think of people I know who have endured terrible abuse as children and found their own places to live and be free. Like yes, the space may not be the best accommodations but it’s heaven because it’s a space that’s truly theirs, away from the people who’ve harmed them.

After another listen it also reminded me of our dearest 616 Mordo 🥺😭 Just him finding peace in a place that’s totally his, away from his abusive grandfather.

Tentative 838 strordo fanon backstory. Stephen arrived to Kamar-Taj much younger, after Donna's death, seeking to resurrect her. There, teens Mordo and Stephen met. They had a dramatic hormonal romance, as teens are wont to do, and Stephen left Kamar-Taj to go to med school. After the accident, Stephen comes back, humbled and ready to truly learn, and lo and behold there's Mordo and now that they're both adults their relationship is less dramatic but far more rewarding.

That reminds of me of the lyrics from “If Ever You’re in My Arms Again,”

I just really love the scenario you painted sweet Nonny. Sweet Nonny, Kinky Boots has truly blessed us. I feel like so many of fanon lore have roots in Kinky Boots. From Mordo being into lingerie to him having a gorgeous singing voice. It just absolutely fits *heavily swoon*

I really tried to find a clip somewhere of Chiwetel singing “My heart belongs to daddy,” but couldn’t find any at all T____T I did find the wonderful Eartha Kitt’s version though!
