What an interestingly worded question. Usually, if I need grounding, it’s because I’m sad. And listening to music that makes my heart hurt helps in a weird, ouroboros-of-sadness kind of way. Like I have to fully go through the horrors and let it wash through me until I can be like “chill out, edgelord.” Anyway, some songs for this are I Need My Girl by The National, This is Home by Cavetown, and Broadripple is Burning by Margot & The Nuclear So and So’s.
