Dizimiz yine bir webtoon uyarlaması. Lee Young-Joon (Park Seo-Joon) küçükken yaşadığı travmalar sonucunda içine kapanık, sadece kendini seven ve kimseyi umursamayan bir adama dönüşmüştür. 9 yıldır onun sekterliğini yapan Kim Mi-So (Park Min-Young) onun yanında durabilen tek kişidir. A’dan Z’ye bütün işleriyle ilgilenen sekreter Kim, 9 yılın sonunda artık kendini beğenmiş patronundan uzaklaşıp yeni bir kariyer yolu çizmek istediğine kadar verir.

Ceo’muz Young-Joon ise eli ayağı olan bu mükemmel sekreterin gitmek istemesine anlam veremediği gibi içten içe gitmesini de istemez. Neden gitmek istediği üzerine kafa yorup, daha çok maaş, daha az çalışma saati gibi avantajlar önerse de bir türlü ikna edemez. Sonunda ise sekreterinin kendisine aşık olduğunu, aşkına karşılık alamadığı için gitmek istediğine karar verir. Bütün düşünceleri ve eğlenmeleri narsist bir çıkış noktası bulan bu yakışıklı CEO’muz kendini bir şekilde sekreterin peşinde koşarken bulur.

Sekreter Kim’in de küçükken yaşadığı travmaları vardır. Ancak bunları hatırlamıyordur. Aslında bütün hayatını ailesine adayarak yaşamak zorunda kalmıştır. Küçük yaşta ailesinin borçları ablasının okulu gibi nedenlerden kendi okulunu bırakıp çalışmaya başlamıştır. Artık kendisine zaman ayırıp kendi istediği bir şeyler yapmak için şirketten ayrılmak istemektedir.

Klasik bir şirket dizisiydi. Yan karakter hiç önemsenmemişti. Önemli olan başrol karakterler ve onların hikayeleriydi. Bu yönden biraz zayıftı. Yalnızca oyuncuların başarısı kaynaklı dizinin kalitesi bir tık öndeydi. 7.bölüme kadar durağan, olağan ilerleyen hikayeye bir anda gizem unsurları, sürprizler eklenmeye başladılar. Beni en rahatsız eden bu gizemlerin finale kadar gizlenmesi oldu. Beklentiyi o kadar büyütüp besliyorlar ki, sonunda artık izleyici ‘istemiyorum ya, öğrenmeyeyim’ deme raddesine geliyor. Bir de o kadar büyüttükten sonra sonuçtan tatmin olunup olunmayacağının garantisini de veremiyorum. Hikayeyi bitirip bitirip yeni sürprizler çıkarttıkları için bir yerde zorlama da gelmeye başlıyor. Seo-Joon için izlemeye devam ediyorsunuz.

Park Min-Young, estetik güzeli olduğunu öğrendiğimden beri bir tık ilgimi kaybetse de oyunculuğunun da görünüşünün de başarılı olduğunu düşünüyorum. Çift olarak da son derece güzel görünüyorlardı. Daha önce izlediğim Healer ve Her private life dizilerinde de kendisini çok beğenmiştim. Park Seo-Joon’u anlatmama gerek bile yok diye düşünüyorum. Bütün dizilerini izlemiş biri olarak, başarılarının devam��nı diliyorum. Bahsedilesi bir diğer oyuncu ise CEO’nun yakın arkadaşı ve şirkette yönetici olan Park Yoo-Sik rolünde karşımıza çıkan Kang Ki-Young. Oh My Ghost, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo, I'm Not a Robot, Extraordinary Attorney Woo gibi birbirinden başarılı dizilerde yan rol kahramanı kendisi. Daha önce de çok söyledim. Yine söylerim, kesinlikle bütün dizilerin yan rollerinde Kang Ki-Young oynayabilir.

Dizinin gizemini bozmamak için başka detaya girmeyeceğim. Ortalamanın üzerinde keyifli bir romantik komediydi diyebiliriz.  Ve cameolar… Because This is My First Life dizisinin donuk çifti konuk oyuncu olarak geliyorlar. Ve yine çift olarak geliyorlar. Açıkçası onları görmekten oldukça keyif aldım.

Dizinin geneli ise dediğim gibi ortalamanın üzerinde klasik bir şirket romantizmiydi. İzlenir.

Bringing the small book closer to your eyes, you read the description out loud. "Okay so, pink. It seems like you're feeling caring, sensitive, emotional, loving and... sexual?" Yohan's expression changed to one of a deer in headlights. Who would've thought those cheap mood rings would actually reflect how he was feeling. Damn those stupid things. Now he had to explain why he felt aroused while he was with his best friend.

"Care to explain?" You smirked at him, making sure to enjoy every second of what was going to happen.

"I-Um, well this is kind of hard to explain." He scratched his neck trying to avoid your persistent gaze. "You know what, it's not that important either."

"No go on, this is getting interesting." Yohan shifted on the couch, clearly growing uncomfortable. "Come ooon," You encouraged him. Biting your lip, you leaned closer to him, knowing how fidgety he would get.

"I like you, okay?" He huffs. "And I have been for a while. I just never had the balls to tell you. Is that what you wanted to hear?" You smiled to yourself before shifting closer to him, finding it more comfortable to sit on his lap.

"And to say that all you needed was a mood ring for you to confess." Yohan's smirked, his hands latching themselves to your hips, pulling your body closer to him.

"If I had known that this would be your reaction, I would've done it sooner." Chuckling, you grabbed his collar and crashed your lips to his.

MY PDX101 RANKING AS OF EP.7

Not that anyone cares but as any international fan I fell hard for the hyung line (Han Seungwoo, Cho Seungyoun, Kim Wooseok, Jinhyuk, Son Yuvin, Lee Hangyul). They’re all big moodmakers, hard working, humble with strong leadership and the most important THEY ARE TALENTED. 

1. Kim Wooseok 

Because he’s literally an ANGEL sent from heaven. Have you seen his whole being during ‘To My Youth’, it was just WOW. He’s a beautiful as Jung Chaeyeon in season 1. 

2. Kim Yohan

He’s not part of the hyungline but I have a very soft spot for him because he’s very loveable like Somi. I can see why people are fond of him.

3. Han Seungwoo

He deserves his spot so much. He’s just TALENT. Talent with a hot body.

4. Cho Seungyoun

ALL ROUNDER OF THE YEAR. You deserve all the love from the world. He’s so funny and amazing and I just love him.

5. Lee Hangyul

I’ve been a fan of him since the Unit and he deserves the world. He dances amazingly, sings well, has a great personality and serves those visuals. I just want him to know success and wish him to be in the final line up. I don’t want him to get Samuel’ed it will kill me like it killed me during season 2. 

6. Jin Hyuk

LEADER OF THE YEAR. COPPING UP WITH KIDS. He has such a great personality. Great leadership, indeniable talent. 

7. Son Yuvin

He’s not my fav fav but his voice is amazing and I love his cheerful and supportive personality. He never badmouthes other trainees and he is always like “you can do it”. 

8. Son Dongpyo

Because we need our Yoojung/Daehwi of this year, I don’t have a particular opinion on him but it’s ok if he’s in the final line up. 

9. Kim Minkyu

I don’t have a strong opinion on him, I think he is very hardworking but either the hyungline is hella talented compared to him. But because he’s so popular he’s definitely gonna end up in the 11. 

10. Lee Eunsang

same as above

I just wish that it is someone that deserves it like Kim Kook Heon, Kang Hyun Su, Choi Suhwan. Basically any hyungline guy that is talented!

                  INTRODUCTION VIDEO FOUND … PRESS PLAY ?

When the video is switched on, all that can be caught is the end of, ‘now?’ coming from the male standing in the center of the screen. His lashes fluttering as he seems to be mentally buffering, glancing at someone behind the camera and then to it. No matter how many times Sejin filmed these, he somehow managed to make a mess of it. Three years should have been enough training with them – but even now, he stood in a daze, scratching his nape and waiting for the trainer to answer. At least he didn’t plan to dance and couldn’t possibly knock over the camera, like he had once before. His gaze darting back to look into the lens, letting out a half-laugh and then bowing over in a complete 90 degree angle. “Hello – I’m Son Sejin! Se! Jin!” He repeated, even lifting a hand to write it in the air in front of him. Energy radiated off his movements, near exaggeration as he clapped his hands together and grinned widely. “I’m a ‘98 liner, and some said I was a musical prodigy when I was younger.”

As if to show his prodigy level, he stretches out his arms and wiggles his fingers, following it with another laugh and then he shifts his weight back a step. “Today, I’m going to show a song I’ve been working on. It’s really, really, really something I worked hard on,” he introduces, looking down at his body and then over to his guitar rested out of the screen. Without a second thought, he shuffles his steps, as if he can make it look less apparent that he forgot his guitar (again), and returns with it in hand. There’s a few seconds wasted, adjusting the strap over his shoulder and plucking at the strings to check if it were tuned well. There’s no warning when he begins to play the first verse of his untitled song. 

He sings sweetly, playing his guitar with little apparent effort or concentration. A sheer natural enjoyment of what he was doing there, and even appearing to look calm and cool; a polar image to what he was when the video started. It was disappointing for Sejin when he had to stop, abruptly before the chorus, although he hadn’t gotten it perfect yet. The boyish grin returning to his features, his hand scratching the back of his head as he peered over at the trainer behind the camera once more and then let out an uneven chuckle this time. He knew there was something else he was supposed to – 

“Ah!” He exclaimed, hand reaching out, as if he could physically stop the camera from cutting out before he managed to finish what he was going to say.. “I want to be a main vocal! Main vocal. I can write songs but.. I want to sing. I’m good at singing.” There’s a proud pat to his chest when he talks about his skills. While growing up, everyone assumed he was going to study classical music and join an orchestra, or he was going to learn to write songs and become a composer. No matter what, he had to do something grand and awe inducing with his skills, but Sejin could feel their disappointment when he told the truth. “I can look cool as a main vocal. Please.”

My honest thoughts on the Top 20 (that noone asked for)

I keep ranting about this show, but still continue to watch it (I'm a hypocrite I know lol)

Tbh i just needed a place to put my thoughts out there.

Also I'm kinda less invested in the trainees overall than I was in s2 for example, so if it gets repetitive, my apologies.

#1 Kim Yohan

Mnet's star boy

I'm sure everyone is aware that mnet wants him to be the center

99,9% gonna make it

Not complaining tho, he's got the talents and the looks

Even if I'm not a big fan of his rapping

#2 Kim Wooseok

Center-material

Solid vocals

The top is kinda lacking main vocals, so I'm hoping he makes it

Mnet tried so hard to make him seem cold and arrogant

But if you've actually paid attention you know that's not the case

A good rapper and leader

When he blew out all the candles with the baseball bat, that was kinda hot?

Solid talents throughout the entire show

As you might have noticed, I don't have much to say about many with a "cute" image. I have nothing against them, as I'm aware that they are indeed talented. But they just don't appeal to me, so I'm not actively going out of my way to cheer them on/find out more about them. I'm sure you all have people that you just don't click with.

Edit: it's been a couple of days since the 3rd elimination and I've settled my feelings. I realized that, looking at these finalists, I won't be mad, no matter what combination of trainees ends up debuting. Yes, I might not be as interested, but definetly not mad.

Unpopular (?) Opinions

Hey! Woah man that was such a rollercoaster of emotions. Now that I have watched the finale and stopped crying I can share my opinions with y’all.

1 ✿ First and foremost; Yuvin, Jinhyuk and Kookheon were ROBBED!! Yuvin literally did everything to show his amazing vocals and they didn’t even care. Jinhyuk showed outstanding leadership skills while being one of the best rappers and dancers in the show. And did y’all give Kookheon any screentime? Smh he was so talented...

2 ✿ Brand New Boys were also ROBBED!! Well except for Eunsang I guess ( I’m supper happy he’s in the group ). Sihoon, Junghwan and Seongjun were all great dancers and stable vocals. Junghwan was a high note king indeed! I just wish that they had more screentime and that Sihoon wasn’t evil edited.

3 ✿ I did not want to see Mingyu in the final lineup. Probably gonna get hate for this but I have to say it : Even though I loved his hardworking and ambitious spirit, Mingyu still looked kinda awkward and stiff while dancing. He definitely improved a lot but I also feel like he lost his confidence that we all loved during this show. I’m very excited to follow up on him and to see what he will do in the future. Maybe he will be an actor! ( I certainly think he’d be a good one )

4 ✿ I am BEYOND happy to have Seungwoo and Seungyoun in the final lineup. We needed these all rounder legends in the group.

5 ✿ Doesn’t matter what anyone says, Yohan deserved to be in the first place. His improvement is beyond words and I also feel like he is on his way to become an all rounder idol!

6 ✿ Probably gonna get hate for this as well but I feel like Minhee and Hyungjun weren’t ready to debut yet. Minhee has amazing vocals but I felt like he was lacking a bit while dancing while I feel like it’s the complete opposite case for Hyungjun. This makes me sound like a Starship anti, ( I am not I promise I love them all :)) I just felt like they needed more time to be trained. As we’re talking about Starship I might as well say it : Moon Hyunbin was ROBBED!

7 ✿ I am super happy for Junho. However, I really wanted Yunseong to be there with him. I wasn’t the biggest fan of neither of them but I was really rooting for them to be together.

8 ✿ Even though I wished that Yuvin and Yunseong were in the final lineup it feels refreshing to see that some Produce “rules” or “coincidences” have changed. In my opinion, it makes the show more entertaining to watch if there aren’t any fixed “rules”.

9 ✿ I am so proud to see Tony in the top 20. Let me remind y’all that he is a foreigner who could speak VERY LITTLE Korean in the beginning. I was so happy to see the Knetz voting for him!

10 ✿ I was also extremely disappointed that Jinhyuk was not in the final lineup. But Eunsang deserved it too... Saying that if it wasn’t for the X reveal and Eunsang, Jinhyuk would be in the group is ridiculous. It may be true, but it’s just disrespectful to Eunsang. Let’s not forget he worked hard too!

11 ✿ I really don’t like the name “X1”. I think it’s lame. I get that the groups must include the words “one” or “101” somehow in the name but if this was a regular group’s name it wouldn’t be eye-catching at all. Frankly speaking I wouldn’t even remember it if this group wasn’t formed in Produce x 101.

12 ✿ Seungyoun was the MOST successful contestant this season. Some of y’all may think that that is Yohan or Wooseok or someone else idk but I feel like Seungyoun was simply the best. He started out from 67th place, gradually rose in his graphs, showcased different talents in each step and he made is way up there. Congrats!!

13 ✿ Each season I watch this show I always make a list of my ideal lineup and this year I got 8/11 which is fhe highest so far for me. I have a feeling that this is going to be my favorite Produce group yet.

14 ✿ I really want Donghyun to join Cix in their next comeback. I feel like he proved so much of his skills and is almost ready to debut. C9 Entertainment please consider this!!

15 ✿ I felt bad for Jungmo. Was I a big fan of him? No. Did I think that he was ready to debut ? Also no. But did I really enjoy his presence ? Yes. I really feel for him. I think it was very saddening to see him be in the Top 11 for so long and not be in there in such a quick second. I wish the best for him!

16 ✿ Mnet is a snake. ( That’s not really an unpopular opinion now is it ?)

PRODUCE X 101 l Hard Disk Emptied!

I know I know, I’m like two days late but I wanted to wait for the subs before watching the final episode of Produce x 101 and after FOUR HOURS it’s 3:30 am and I did it and I needed to share my thoughts on the final lineup.

X - Lee Eunsang: well... I expected him to debut but I thought he would be in the regular top 10 so I was actually surprised. That being said, I’ve never really liked him, or more like I didn’t understand why he was so popular if he didn’t really show his talents or improve that much throughout the show. Hopefully he’ll grow on me after X-1 (if that was the name lol) debuts.

10 - Kang Minhee: another boy that I didn’t really care about lol. I liked him as main vocalist in Pretty Girl but I he still has a lot of room to improve.

9 - Cha Junho: I knew he would debut!!! He’s very shy so that’s why he didn’t really stand out to me at the beginning but he’s improved since episode 1 and I’m actually happy he made it.

8 - Nam Dohyun: so young yet so talented, I’m sure he will be a great addition to the group. 

7 -  Lee Hangyul: YEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!! I screamed when Dongwook announced his name because like him I had assumed he wouldn’t debut. Number seven?!?! Such a talented and charming guy, it was heartbreaking seeing him in The Unit and almost making it to the final group. I’m glad he finally achieved his goal!!!

6 - Son Dongpyo: WHATTTT. I didn’t have much hope either for my son because he wasn’t doing that well despite his huuuge potential and then?!?!?! YES YES YES.

5 - Cho Seungyoun: OUR ALL-ROUNDER!!! I’m glad that after a couple of episodes Mnet started paying attention to him and giving him more screentime, otherwise people would have missed this gift (lol what am I even saying at this point, it’s too late). But really, he can sing, dance, rap, has variety skills and is super handsome. Perfect!!

4 - Song Hyungjun: I’m not super excited about him but since I accepted from the beginning that he would get in I willingly tried to like him?? He’s cute and can dance but I’m waiting to see some singing or rapping skills.

3 - Han Seungwoo: oh boy OH BOY. I’m happy? Sad? Confused? Angry? I adore him and I’m actually glad that all of his hard work payed off but at the same time (as a new fan of Victon) he won’t be able to go back to Victon and he’s like 26 so by the time he’s able to promote with them again he will have to go to the military??? and that sucks big time. 

2 - Kim Wooseok: I feel like he was a must. I didn’t see much of the appeal during the first couple of episodes but Love Shot??? HELLO. He has a really nice voice so hopefully we’ll hear him sing often :D

1 - Kim Yohan: YOHAN MY BOY!!! He’s constantly improved since episode 1 and if he’s already this good with such a short training period? imagine once he gets more experience. My second pick among the final twenty, I’m so happy he got to debut.

Lastly I just wanted to mention that:

1) Msnake lost one of the greatest vocalists of the season aka Song Yuvin (also Suhwan but he wan’t in the top 20)

2) Overall I’m quite happy with the final group members and in the end it will depend on the music they release. As much as I can like X or Y person, the music is the most important aspect for me so fingers crossed!!

3) Lee Dongwook did a great job and I’m going to miss him so much :(
