You continue scrambling backwards until the back of your calves bump against the couch and you nearly lose your balance. Xavier's hand shoots out, you think to steady you, but instead he pushes your shoulder and you fall back onto the cushions.

You land with a surprised yelp and try to scoot backwards as he moves to straddle you, pinning your legs down. His weight presses you further into the couch as he leans over you and grips your wrists in both of his hands.
