Avenger Lane Chapter 8: Finish Him!
“Your soul is mine!” You mimicked Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat.
“FINISH HIM!” the game announcer bellowed.
“Nooooo!” Beth shouted as Sub-Zero performed their fatality.
“Beth, your room is a mess!” You hear Quinn shouting from upstairs causing Ollie to sit up from his nap.
“Young lady, did you not clean it earlier when she asked you the first time?” You raised your brow pausing the video game you both were playing.
“Beth!” Quinn shouted from upstairs.
“Uh oh.” Fin giggled looking up from her drawing. “Mommy’s mad.”
“Well, go on.” You said taking her controller hearing her groan.
“Don’t play without me!” Beth shouted as she marched up stairs.
“I help Bethy.” Fin said racing after her, leaving her drawing behind.
You stood making your way to the garage grabbing your sheers you needed to tend to the gardens anyway. Right as you kneeled in front of your flower bed a certain redhead walked by.
“They’re beautiful.” Natasha smiled stopping next to you before crouching down.
“Beautiful flowers-” You cut a small bouquet. “For a beautiful lady.”
“Thank you.” She chuckled bashfully taking them from you.
“You're welcome.” you grinned before asking. “Off to Wanda’s? Or did you just wanna see me?”
“Well always happy to see you, but I am about to have a drink with Wanda.” She smiled. “Do you wanna join us?”
“No, I'm just messing with you. I'm waiting for Beth to finish her chores so we can go back to our video game marathon.”
“Oooh fun, I've never really played anything before besides what is at an arcade. Sometimes Pietro would convince us to skip school and join him at the arcade.”
“Woooow, bad student.” you both chuckled.
“I was a great student! How are you by the way?”
“Good; we took Beth to get registered at school earlier today. I can’t believe she’s starting the 6th grade already.”
“I bet, did she join any clubs?”
“Her mother really wants her to be a cheerleader.”
“You don’t?” She raised her brow.
“Not really.” You sighed setting your sheers down. “I just can’t see her doing that.”
“Does she want too?”
“Well it looks like her new friends are playing soccer. So now she’s on the fence.” You shrugged.
“Lyla’s pretty excited she’s played since she was a little girl.” Natasha added with a smile.
“Secretly, I want her in anything but cheer. I know how cheerleaders are, and I do not want my daughter to be like them.” You grumbled.
“Well they’re only in middle school.” Natasha smirked.
“Still.”
“Of course.” Natasha nodded standing up with a grin.
“Tell Wanda I said hi.” You grinned.
“I will. When are you going to tell Quinn about the job offer?” She raised her brow at you.
“I’m working up to it.” You mumbled.
“Hmhm.” She smirked walking off to the Maximoff residence smelling her flowers. “Thanks for the flowers.”
“Welcome!” You say back as you watch her smile at you before walking inside the Maximoff home.
“Look at that love sick look on your face.” Wanda laughed as she set two wine glasses down.
“Shut up.” She grumbled setting them down softly before taking the glass in her hand.
Natasha was too busy looking at her flowers to notice Wanda yelling at the boys to go outside.

You were tending to your garden with your phone playing an old Journey song in the back ground. You were jamming along when you heard Wanda’s boys run outside.
“What’s up boys!” You waved seeing the Maximoffs holding a football.
“Hi!” They waved excitedly.
“Can Beth come out and play?” Billy asks.
You sighed looking back at the house. “Well Beth is finishing up her chores but she can when she’s done.”
“Oh okay. Beth said you used to play football.” Tommy says looking at the flowers you were repotting.
“Four time state champ.” You smirked.
“That’s awesome! Mom, just signed us up today, but we don't really know how to play.” Billy says sadly.
“Will you teach us?” Tommy asked sweetly. “Please? When we asked our dad he thought it meant soccer.”
“Well soccer is great too!”
“But we wanna play football.” Billy sighed sadly.
“Please teach us.” Tommy pleaded.
“No…” the boy's looked down in disappointment. “but I’ll coach ya.” You teased with a wink.
The boys jumped up and down cheering.
 ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗
Wanda and Natasha were in the middle of a conversation when they heard the boys yelling. They ran outside only to see you teaching them how to tackle.
“Y/N, is so great with kids.” Wanda said, before taking a sip of her wine. “Ya know if Vis wasn’t such a great husband.” she shrugged jokingly.
Natasha glares playfully.
“I'm kidding!... Sort of.” Wanda laughed.
“Another thing that makes her undeniably attractive.” Natasha murmured watching you laugh wholeheartedly with the boys.
“Vis is going to be jealous if he sees this.” the taller woman murmured.
“What? That you’re ogling Y/N?” the shorter woman chuckled.
“No.” Wanda laughed, slapping her arm. “More so that Y/N is coaching our sons on how to play football. Vis tried but he grabbed a soccer ball, and the boys didn’t have the heart to tell him.” She sighed before looking over at you. “What is Y/N doing?”
You were lugging a large tractor tire towards the lawn.
“Okay you were right Y/N is really strong.” Wanda smirked watching your muscles flex as you flipped the tire.
“Can I try?!” She heard Tommy ask and you laughed.
“Be my guest.” You stepped aside as Tommy growled trying to move the tire but only nudged it.
“Oh this is adorable.” Wanda chuckled, taking out her phone once more to record the boys. “Come on Billy, you can do it!”
“Dad, what are you doing?” Beth asked suddenly next to you.
“Oh hey sweetheart!” You laying your hand on her tiny shoulder. “I'm just teaching the boys about football. They wanted to try and lift the tire before I hang it up.”
“Can I try?” Beth asked looking up at you.
“Of course.”
“Beth!” The boys waved her over explaining how heavy the tire is.
Beth remembered you throwing the tire and squatted down before using her legs to support the toss.
“That’s my daughter!” You cheered.
Beth blushed hearing everyone cheer for her.
You finally moved the tire where you wanted it using rope to tie it to the tree branch out on your lawn. You jumped from the tree taking the ball Billy handed you,
“The key to a perfect spiral is hand placement and foot work.” You showed them with one hand how you were holding it. You slowly showed each step in movement before throwing it right through the tire.
“Wow!” The boys gasped.
“I know right.” Beth grinned.
“Who wants to go first?” You grinned, taking the ball from Billy who ran to get it. “Thanks bud.”
“Hey Y/L/N!” Steve shouted from his driveway holding up his arms.
You stepped back angling yourself before grunting as you threw it straight in his arms.
“Yeah!” He chuckled before throwing it right back.
You jumped up catching it before landing back on the grass.
“That was so cool!” The boys gushed.
“Woooo! That’s a running back right there!” He clapped his hands cheering before he walked into his home.
“My turn!” Beth shouted.
Soon Cassie and Morgan, and Monica joined in with the kids throwing perfect spirals.
“Okay but this is such a dad thing!” Carol giggled as she watched you coaching the kids. She and Val walked over to watch you and the kids with Wanda and Natasha. “She’s literally teaching the kids on the block.”
“It’s called Coaching.” Val smirked, taking a sip of her beer they brought over, nudging her wife. “That’s it sweetheart that’s the hustle!” Val clapped seeing Monica throw the ball through the tire.
Soon a car drove up it was Vis.
“Uh oh.” Wanda sighed.
Vis got out watching his boys being coached by you. He sighed sadly before trudging up the steps. “I see the boys asked Y/N to coach them.” He sighed.
“Oh Vis-“
“It’s quite alright darling. Y/N is a 4 time state champion. They seem to be learning a great deal. I’ll just go get washed up for dinner.” He made a mental note to return the book he purchased earlier that same day.
“Oof, he is definitely upset.” Val nodded.
“I’d give my vibrator to see Y/N in her old football uniform.” Carol fanned herself, ignoring the depressed Englishman to watch you run around with the kids.
“Oh my God, Carol!” Natasha chuckled before looking at Val.
“What? Y/N is hot. I wouldn’t mind them in our bed. Devils threesome and all.” Val shrugged. “Her wife is just as sexy, I can only imagine what goes on in that bedroom.” She laughed causing the women to giggle.
Natasha stayed silent clenching her legs knowing exactly what you were like as she recalled a memory.
“I’ve seen it.” Wanda blushed smiling as she bit her lip, breaking the comfortable silence.
“Shut up! You have not.” Carol scoffed.
“I did and let me just say Y/N, is very, very well endowed.” Wanda smirked while finishing her drink.
“I can confirm. Hung as a fucking horse” Val chuckled.
“How did you both even-“ Natasha began she was upset. How dare they oogle you… even though she used to do the same thing.
“Gym I saw the outline.”
“Quinn did this sexy strip tease for Y/N in the living room. It was like watching one of those nature shows I couldn’t look away. Y/N definitely knows how to work a woman, and Quinn knows how to work Y/N. All of Y/N.” She giggled.
“Damn Wands you watched them fuck?” Val furrowed her brows. “Have you ever seen Carol and I?”
“Once.” She giggled.
“Oh my God.” Val muttered.
“We’re getting black out curtains.” Carol murmured. “How did you see Y/N and not tell me though?”
“Are you kidding she made me feel…slightly emasculated. Why would I ever openly say that she’s bigger than-” Val scoffed.
“Oh baby, you shouldn’t ever feel that way.” Carol smirked sitting on Val’s lap giving her a kiss.
“Alright you two; reel it in.” Nat muttered, sipping her drink as they began to feel eachother up.
“Speak of the devil.” Wanda said, diverting her attention to the girls to Quinn who stepped out on her own porch.
“Dinner is ready.” Quinn smiled. “Beth, come wash up.”
“Aww but mom! Pop is coaching us!” Beth whined.
“Papa me too! Papa me too!” Fin ran out the door with your old football helmet.
You laughed watching her tumble down the steps the helmet breaking her fall.
“Fin, I told you to leave your papa’s things alone.”
“It’s ok Q.” You wink.
“Papa my turn!” Fin whined, holding out her tiny hands.
“Oh my gosh fine!” Beth huffed, throwing a spiral at her little sister.
“Beth.” You and Quinn said sternly after it bounced off of the helmet.
“Sorry.” Beth said meekly after her mother glared at her.
“You did great kiddo.” You say pushing the helmet up so she could see.
“Okay enough football for tonight let’s eat dinner. Beth take Fin and go wash up please.”
“Aww mom, one more round!”
“It’s alright Sweetheart I’m pretty hungry. You all were awesome today! It’s getting a little late so everyone go home, and wash up.” You turned waving towards the ladies watching.
The kids cheered before each one ran to their respective houses.
“Fin!” Beth huffed as Finley ran right behind the other kids to the Maximoff residence.
The kids cheered before each one ran to their respective houses.
“Natty!” Finley beamed from beneath the helmet.
“Hi Finny!”
“I’m like papa now!”
“I see that you did great!” Natasha smiles lifting your youngest on her lap.
Meanwhile the other neighborhood kids were gushing about their new fondness for football.
“Mom, did you see me?!” Billy gasped holding the football.
“Mom, that was so much fun!” Monica said, looking up at Carol and Val.
“Yeah it was! You did fantastic out there lieutenant trouble!” Carol grinned.
“How’s pizza sound for our little football player?” Val smirked.
“Yayyy!” Monica cheered.
“Mom did you see?!” Tommy panted, his hair crazy and sweaty..
“I did sweetie you and your brother are naturals.” Wanda smiled sweetly, pushing his wet sweaty hair back. “Did you thank coach Y/L/N?”
“Yes momma.” They nodded.
“Billy and I are gonna make coach Y/L/N a tshirt tomorrow in art class!” Tommy grinned.
“That’s really thoughtful. Boys, go on and take showers, dinner will be ready soon.”
“Bye neighbors!” The boys shouted to the women drinking on their porch before racing one another to the shower.
“Hi Miss Nat, Fin, come on, we have to go back home for dinner.” Beth
“Hi Beth.” Natasha smiled at Quinn’s mini clone.
“Neh, I stay with Natty.”
“Oh you’ll stay with me?” Natasha chuckled looking down at her little eyes beneath the helmet.
“Fin.” Beth huffed.
“How about next time Fin? Your mommy made you dinner, it's time to go eat now.”
“Aww.” Finley bowed her head making Natasha lift it back up before she tumbled over by the weight of the helmet.
“We’ll go swimming tomorrow, how about that?” Natasha smiled.
“Okay Natty.” Finley made grabby hands at her older sister. Beth rolled her eyes before lifting her up.
“Bye Natty.” “Bye Miss Nat.” The kids said in unison.
“Bye, see you again soon.” She looked over at you who winked in response.
Natasha looked away when Quinn started acting like a lovesick teenager by pulling you in a kiss.
“You gonna be my coach tonight?” Quinn husked.
“I can think of some drills.” You smirked.
“Hey Y/L/N!” Steve shouted as you held your wife by her hips pecking her lips softly. He ran over from across the street.
“Hmm?” You hummed, turning your head before turning away from your wife.
“Let’s all get together this weekend to have a friendly game of touch football? I can bring out the grill and cooler.”
“Yeah man sounds like a plan!” You grinned.
“Nice! I’ll get the guys together.”
“Oi what are we? Chopped liver?” Val shouted.
You chuckled leaning back against Quinn who stood a step higher. Her arms wrapped loosely around your neck. She was whispering sweet nothings near your ear. It drove her absolutely insane when you did anything sports related.
“The more the merrier!” Steve laughed.
“Yeah sounds good just more ass I get to smack.” You smirked over at them as Quinn bit her lip.
“Wow Y/L/N I had no idea you were such a jock.” Carol smirked.
“Four time state champ baby!” You grinned.
“My mom won the cheer championship 4 times in a row too!” Beth smiled looking up at her mother.
“The jock and the cheerleader. Lots of locker room meetups?” Val smirked.
“How do you think we got Beth?” You chuckled as Quinn elbowed you and Beth made a ew sound before running inside.
“Nice.” Val chuckled high fiving you.

The following morning you had been walking Ollie with the girls when you all came across Peter and Gamora Quill walking their animals.
“Oh my gosh!” Beth gasped.
“Can I pet?” Fin pointed.
“Yes.” Gamora giggled. “Yes you can pet.” She crouched down letting your daughters pet their mini zoo of animals.
“Sorry.” You chuckled.
“Oh don’t be neighbor, this happens all the time we don’t mind and neither do they.” Quill laughed. “We were just about to put them in the backyard. Why don’t you guys just follow us and you can keep playing them.”
⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗
“That’s such a sad story but at least they found the their happy ever after. Rocket and the others really went through the ringer.” You say as the raccoon settles on your lap letting you gently pet him as you listen to Peter Quill and Gamora explain how they found him in the first place, and how Gamora made a sort of career change from being a bounty hunter to a rescue hunter. She went from hunting Nazi’s to hunting animal abusers and sometimes even child abusers
“Yeah they really did.” Gamora whispers softly just before Rocket lept from your lap to hers giving her a snuggle before darting off towards up a tree that Peter made a treehouse in. “After finding him and Lylla I couldn’t let them be apart.”
You smile seeing the otter they rescued in their salt water pool. You sniffled and wiped a tear away looking around at the recuses they have found together. “Well Rocket, is welcomed to our trash anytime.”
“I love Flor!” Beth giggled as she played with the handicapped bunny.
“I can’t believe animal cruelty is even a thing. What kind of monster of a human would hurt defenseless animals.” You sigh. “They’re all so sweet and beautiful. Makes me love and appreciate Ollie even more. I’ve only known Rocket, Lylla, Cosmo, and Flor a short while and I would absolutely lay my life down for them just like I would for Ollie.” You smiled seeing Ollie and Cosmo playing around with one another.
“Maybe we can take all of you to visit Teefs.” Gamora smiled. “He’s living at the Aquarium now in New York. We hated separating them but Teefs needed a lot of special care and the Aquarium provides that. We take them out to visit him at least 3 times a month.”
“I’d love to meet the big guy, and I’m sure the girls would too as well.” You chuckle as Cosmo, their rescue dog, gives you kisses. “Thank you Cosmo, you're a good girl.” She barked in excitement she whisked Fin up and on her back. Zooming all of the yard chasing Ollie.
“Cosmo zoomies!” Fin giggled on her back.
“The girls are in love with this place.” You chuckled seeing Beth’s face light up when floor hopped on her chest as they laid in the grass.
“They are always welcome here.” Gamora smiled.
“Yeah maybe next time I can grill us some burgers, and you can actually meet our team.” Peter grinned.
“Yeah I’d like that!” After a beat you asked; “Have you thought about opening up a rescue center?”
“We have but we just felt like if we did then it would need to basically be a zoo so they can free roam and not be tied down in a cage.”
“Well when you guys find the right place let me know. I’d love to help out in anyway that I can.”
“Thank you Y/N.” Gamora smiled.
“Beer?” Peter grins, handing you a bottle.
⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗
“Hey.” You say knocking on her office door.
“Hi baby, you and the girls have a nice walk?” Quinn smiles, taking her glasses off looking from her computer to you.
“It was great we met some more neighbors down the block, but we can talk about that later. I wanna talk with you about something important to me.”
“Okay.” She said standing up taking your hand leading you to her loveseat. “What’s going on?”
“Well a few days ago I was speaking with Tony, and he basically offered me a job on his team.”
“With Stark Industries?” Quinn’s eyes widened.
“Yeah, he heard I was supposed to go to MIT, and since I actually know what I’m doing he offered me a job.”
“Wow.” She smiled, patting your hands.
“You don’t want me to take it.” You mutter softly with a sigh.
“It’s just Fin is still not in school, and I-“
“Natasha said she’d be her babysitter, and Beth will be in school.” You say.
Quinn bit her lip looking away.
“Hey.” You say gaining her attention back. “This is important to me. I can actually bring something home. I can actually have my own career. It’s time Quinn.”
“Let’s wait a couple years for Fin to go to school then we can-“
“If you don’t want Natasha to take care of Fin. Then why don’t you just work from home fulltime and take care of our daughters yourself?”
“I can’t do that.”
“Quinn why can’t you just meet me half way-“
“Because I may be pregnant.” She interrupts you.
“Wait what?” You furrow your brows.
“I didn’t wanna tell you yet, I wanted to be sure.” She sighed standing up.
“Oh.” You raise your brows.
She swiftly turned around glaring at you. “You said you wanted-“
“No, no, I do, I do.” You say quickly rushing to her side, taking her hands. “Have you taken a test yet?”
“No…I’m still waiting a few more days to see if I start.” She muttered.
“Okay.” You nodded. “So we really aren’t sure yet.”
“No… but I know my body, and it feels just like the first time. I’ll make a doctor's appointment.”
You took her hand and sat down in thought. You did want another baby, but you knew she didn’t want another. You can’t help but feel a little blind sided. You internally roll your eyes at yourself Beth and Finley were both surprises, and you did tell her you wanted another baby. Maybe you won't have to turn down your dream job. You take in a deep breath and slowly release before saying something more so for yourself.
“One day at a time.”

Apologies

quinn fabray x reader
summary- quinn slushies rachel, your sister. you made her apologize
Tumblr media
“i don’t understand why you’re being like this!” your girlfriend of seven months, quinn fabray, says from across the room. you can tell she’s holding back tears, but why should she be the one crying? you had just found out she had slushied your sister, rachel berry.
you understood why she did, sometimes you wished you could as well. but just because she's dating you doesn't give her the right to bully your sister. "quinn, i know she's difficult but how would you feel if you got slushied?" you said as you walked closer to her. you didn't want this to be the thing that ended your relationship.
you saw as the realization hit her. she was difficult yes, but she didn't deserve to get bullied like that, no one did. she wrapped her arms around you and pressed her face into your chest. "i'm sorry" she mumbled. you put your hands on her waist "i'm not the one you need to tell that"
you felt her nod against your chest before she leaned up, placing a gentle kiss on your cheek. she let go of you before walking up stairs to rachels room.
you sat down, expecting nothing more but a few 'im sorrys' to get thrown around. you quickly heard yelling. my sister is rachel berry, why did i expect different? you thought. you quickly rushed upstairs. as soon as you got upstairs you heard a thud onto the ground, rachel had pushed your girlfriend.
"girls! stop!" you said as you rushed to your girlfriends side, helping her up. "she deserves this! you know it y/n!" rachel shouted. it took a lot of strength to hold back your own anger at rachel, let alone quinn's. "stop it both of you!" you shouted, quinn had never heard your voice so angry, rachel only heard it once in a millennia. "what quinn did was shitty, yes i agree rachel" as soon as you said that the younger berry got a smug look on her face.
she was used to you fighting her battles. she always got into problems, knowing you'd be the one to solve it. not her. you knew this too, you were happy to help but you were getting kind of tired of it. "quinn knows what she did wrong too." rachel quickly lost the smug on her face. "quinn, say what you were going to say" you said as you looked down at your girlfriend. her eyes met yours before she looked at rachel "i'm sorry i slushied you, it was rude of me and it won't happen again" she said, you could tell she was being sincere.
now did rachel take it that way?
of course not.
"i don't accept, you're just saying that" she said, crossing her arms across her chest. why is she always so difficult? you sighed and looked back down at quinn before looking at rachel. you knew what she wanted. she wanted you to break up with quinn right there right then. you weren't going to do that of course. you loved her. however, you were getting tired of fighting rachel's battles. "rachel, why do you think quinn is being insincere?"
you saw the look on her face change. you knew she just didn't want to accept, she knew that too, but she had to say something. "it's obvious" she said, turning away. "rachel." you said stern, a voice both of the girls were scared of. she turned back around and sighed "i accept your apology" you let go of quinn, hoping she wouldn't charge at rachel.
you instead wanted to try something new.
"why don't you two hug it out?" you said smiling. hoping they wouldn't turn on you. they both looked at you in disgust. you, however, were very adamant. you put her hands on both girls backs before gently pushing them towards one another.
they sighed before holding their arms out and hugging each other. it was the weakest hug you've ever seen. neither one of them moved a muscle. you quickly wrapped your arms around the both of them and hugged them as tight as you could.
they both smiled, letting out a few soft laughs along the way. you knew they would fight again. you hoped this time, however, they would be able to let it go themselves.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Santana Lopez
Part Two
summary: Santana works to win the school costume contest with Quinn.
warnings: Santana remarks, she attacks JBI, Puck has a fake machete.
word count: 3,234
Tumblr media
“Hey Pink!"
Santana turned and burst into a wide smile as Quinn came bounding up to her, all decked out in her Sandy Olsson getup. They greeted each other with a quick kiss (flipping off the hockey and football players in the process). Santana ran her hands along Quinn's waist to the small of her back, her eyes glued to Quinn's cleavage.
Quinn bit her lip in a lustful smirk. Part of the reason she agreed to the costume idea was so she could distract Santana in the classes they had together (if she was lucky, Santana would take her before Judy got home). She placed her hands on Santana's sides and absentmindedly started brushing her fingers there, sending shivers down Santana's spine.
"I don't think you're too pure to pink after all." Santana mused, her eyes huge.
Quinn laughed and hit Santana in the arm playfully.
"Keep staring like that Rizzo and I'll have to take you in the choir room."
"Really?" Santana's eyes were huge and her voice resembled that of a kids after saying they were going to King's Island.
"Santana! No! Anyone could walk in, especially Mr.Schue."
Santana frowned and tangled her fingers with Quinn's hands.
"You know how many times I've fantasized about us fucking on the piano." Santana pouted quietly.
Quinn shook her head in an attempt to rid her mind of the dirty fantasies Santana projected. Santana smirked, knowing full well the effect she had on her girlfriend.
"Get your stuff and walk me to class." Quinn ordered.
Santana straightened up and saluted Quinn earning a bubbly giggle from Quinn.
Sometimes it scared Quinn how happy Santana made her. It was almost as if her happiness depended on Santana or Santana's happiness. (It didn't, just sometimes Santana made her so groundbreaking-ly happy that it warranted some concern.)
"Aye aye Captain." Santana smiled charmingly.
Quinn admired Santana in her buttoned up black shirt that had the top two buttons undone. Her eyes outlined her girlfriends glorious biceps down to her scandalous legs.
"You're a dork." Quinn snorted as Santana closed her locker.
Santana slung her Pink Ladies jack over the crook of her arm. They joined hands and began their trek down the boisterous halls of McKinley.
"Careful Fabray, you only get away with comments like that because you're my girlfriend."
Quinn leaned in close to Santana, almost bumping them into a couple of lousy teens. Her voice was low and husky and matched her "innocent" smile.
"I get away with a lot because I'm your girlfriend." Her hot breath tickled Santana's ear.
Quinn smirked as Santana tripped over her feet. A few brave souls glanced at them to see what was happening and were awarded with Santana's death glare.
They made it to Quinn's first period class (economics) where Santana walked Quinn to her seat. Santana draped her arms around Quinn's neck, barracking Quinn's gaze. When the school first found out about the couple, they had been scandalized; half of them didn't expect it and the other half were revolted. But once you see a baby come out of your girlfriends sacred girlfriend, it kind of puts things into perspective. So they kinda said screw it and just showed up to school junior year hand in hand with Santana walking Quinn to class and public displays of affection. Turns out they were pretty affectionate. Quinn's economics class was used to this by now.
"If anyone makes any moves on you or ogles you, just text me. I'll go all Lima Heights on their perverted asses."
Quinn scoffed and slid her arms comfortably around Santana's waist. Santana unconsciously melted into her girlfriends warm embrace.
It was their one problem with their costumes: jealousy. Quinn just took it out by aggressive making out (and aggressive sex later). Santana's methods were a little less healthy. (She actually broke a dudes nose over summer break for just saying hi to Quinn a little too warmly.)
"I don't think that'll be necessary San." Quinn mused lightly.
"Promise me Quinn. Just humor me." Santana flitted her eyes up and rolled her head restlessly.
Quinn squeezed Santana's sides to gain her attention and pulled her closer. Santana's vulnerable eyes glanced up to meet Quinn's security blanket ones.
"I promise."
Then Quinn leaned down and softly kissed Santana to prove that it wasn't necessary but she would tell her because she knew Santana had a phobia of abandonment. The kiss soon heated up. Quinn still wasn't a fan of people watching them but with her lips on Santana with her girlfriend holding her, she felt protected from the universe and all its unfair problems.
"Miss Lopez, you're going to be late for your class. Again."
Miss Wilcowski reminded the young couple as Rosie O'Donnell but with short hair and a cat lady.
"See ya later hot stuff." Santana pecked Quinn one last time and then was off.
Quinn turned and sat down in her seat.
"Say, Miss Wilcowski, you're looking absolutely-"
"Save it Lopez."
Quinn laughed from her seat and quickly covered her mouth in a weak attempt to hide it from Santana. Even though she didn't comment on it or look back, she knew Santana heard.
"You're my hero!" Santana shouted then hurried out of the classroom.
Antagonizing Quinn's economics teacher was something Santana enjoyed a little too much.
"Two more years." Miss Wilcowski grumbled.
*****
They were peacefully walking to Glee Club (or as peaceful as you can walk in a loud, overpacked hallway with annoying teenagers) when Puck came running up behind them and pretended to stab them with a fake machete.
Santana was laughing up a storm and was congratulating her best man with a high five. Quinn glared at Puck and punched him in his arm.
"What the hell Puck?"
"What's wrong Blondie, you scared?" Puck slid his Jason mask back on and raised the machete in her face.
Quinn found her way back to Santana's side and grabbed her hand as if it was second nature.
"Don't worry baby, I'll protect you." Santana cooed in a baby voice.
"You're both asses." They laughed at the blonde and entered the choir room. "How'd you even get that in here? You could get expelled for that and then we'll be disqualified from Sectionals."
"Relax Baby Mamma, I won't get caught. As long as no one snitches." He fixed them both with raised eyebrows warningly and pointed at everyone who was present in the choir room.
"Call my girlfriend Baby Mamma one more time Puckerman and I'll cut your dick off so you never impregnate another woman again." Santana threatened.
Puck raised her hands in surrender and sat back in his seat. Santana rolled her eyes, her hand gripping Quinn's a little too firmly (she was starting to loose blood circulation).
When Quinn had gotten pregnant, her and Santana had broken up. It was a stupid fight that they both regretted, but they had foolishly broken up and Quinn was heartbroken. So she went to Puck to try and get back at Santana. The plan was to just make out a little. But then she got drunk and one thing led to another. Santana had been heartbroken after finding out Quinn was pregnant (which of course was expected), but Quinn kept the father a secret. Until Rachel blabbed her mouth and lets just say they were going for a record of breaking up in one year.
(Through it all, Santana was always there for Quinn. Even after she found out her girlfriend got pregnant by her best friend while they were broken up, she still got Quinn whatever she wanted. Quinn specifically remembers one time when Santana buying bacon for Quinn with a scowl on her face. That's when she realized that Santana was the only one for her. Sure she was pregnant at 16 and Santana was really the only person she dated, but it was enough to know that Santana was her person. It was like it was tattooed on her soul.)
Santana had forgiven them both (Quinn first since she was her best friend and love of her life, plus those puppy eyes she kept sending Santana was her kryptonite) but she didn't like to be reminded about it. Quinn could talk about Beth all she wanted and how gutted she still felt to this day, but when Puck was brought up things got sour.
They sat down in their seats in front of Puck and waited for Mr. Schue to arrive. To pass the time (and to slightly rub it in Puck's face) Santana cradles Quinn's legs on her lap and started making out. If there was one room Quinn felt free and safe to be affectionate with her girlfriend with (aside from their bedrooms), it was the choir room.
"You guys are disgusting." Lauren remarked from beside Puck.
"I think they're cute." Tina defended the couple.
"And what are you suppose to be? A poster for Do Not Do It, It Gets Better signs?" Santana shot back, ignoring Tina's comment.
Quinn trailed her fingers down Santana's arm, admiring every inch of her. She was just going to let Santana and Lauren duke it out until Mr. Schue came in.
"Hey Quinn." Brittany smiled animatedly.
Quinn slid her legs off of Santana's lap and angled her body towards her best friend. Santana's hand blindly searched for Quinn's until the blonde's fingers brushed the tips of hers.
Brittany had on a kid version of a Catwoman suit so Quinn assumed the go lucky blonde was shooting for a regular cat and not the sexy superhero. She even had a headband of cat ears on and whiskers drawn on her face.
"Hey Britt. You look amazing."
"Obviously. I look better than everyone here."
Quinn laughed and nodded her head along. She wasn't sure about that but she wasn't about to burst the jolly girl's bubble.
"Hey, hey. Hello. Excuse me. Just because your stalker of a girlfriend went overboard with her costume," Quinn had to laugh because that was rich coming from Santana. "Doesn't mean you get to flake out on this sacred holiday."
Finn looked to the side in that confusing way of his with his hands stuffed in his pockets.
"I didn't."
"Really? Then where's your Frankenstein costume?" Santana was becoming more annoyed by the second.
"I'm a football player." Finn said it like it was obvious.
"A-a football played? Please tell me you're kidding-Berry tell me your neanderthal boyfriend is kidding."
Quinn leaned in closer to Brittany and watched her girlfriend get all worked up. It was honestly quite adorable when Santana tore into people over their costumes. Sure Santana was a little obsessive when it came to Halloween (and by a little Quinn means a lot, a lot a lot a LOT), but it had its cute, wholesome moments.
"He's not." Rachel seemed just as disappointed in her boyfriend as Santana was.
"I'm Aaron Rodgers. See?" Finn pointed to his jersey.
It was green with two yellow stripes on the arms. The number 12 was in bold white letters on the front and back with RODGERS in the same lettering on the back. Finn turned to put his jersey on full display, smiling goofily the whole time.
At first Santana just sat there with her mouth hanging low. Then she clamped it shut and shook her head. She started muttering some things in Spanish under her breath, nothing Quinn could understand. (After growing up with the Lopez's Quinn had taken it upon herself to learn Spanish.) Quinn about fell out of her seat and onto Brittany's lap when Santana jerked Rachel into the empty seat beside her. It was the last seat in the row meaning Finn couldn't sit with Rachel.
"You're going to sit in the corner and think about a better costume idea for tomorrow night." Santana was pointing to the other side of the room in the back room, her eyes purposefully looking away from Finn.
The tall boy opened up and closed his mouth a few times (Quinn just knew Santana was dying to make a fish joke) then stumbled off in that direction. He plopped down next to Mike and looked at him questioningly. The innocent man just shrugged.
Santana molded herself into Quinn's side and shook her head.
"Men. What are they good for?" Santana muttered.
Quinn laughed and kissed Santana on the side of her head. Santana crinkled her nose in disgust but Quinn knew it was just for show. She still had to maintain some badass status in the school.
"Wow guys! You all are looking sharp. I'm impressed." Mr. Schue clapped his hands once and turned his proud father smile on them all.
Santana shot Quinn a proud, excited smirk that rearranged Quinn’s insides. Quinn shook her head but smile nonetheless.
Rachel was dressed as Fanny Brice (of course), Tina was a goth vampire, Mike was dressed as Ren McCormack at the end of Footloose (and boy did he look good), Sam was decked out in Bruce Springsteen attire, Mercedes was killing it as Batgirl, and Artie was mirroring Professor X.
Mr. Schue was dressed as Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing. The three Cheerios had seen Sue dressed as Nicki Minaj in the halls earlier.
Mr. Schue went to speak just for the intercom to come crackling on. Everyone grimaced or covered their ears from the intense crackling. Brittany covered her cat ears.
“Hello? Hello? Is this thing on? Hello, students and faculty of William McKinley High. You have all submitted your Halloween Costumes to Miss Pillsbury, those of you who have attended this competition.”
The glee club erupted in applause. Santana planted a passionate kiss on Quinn’s lips causing Rachel to scoot her seat away. The whole school had participated in the costume competition but Santana was confident in them winning. The Latina had come in top ten her freshmen year and last year won with Puck as Chucky and the Bride of Chucky. This year she was determined to win with Quinn.
“Before I give the results, to the boy in the hockey mask terrorizing the student body, I ask you to stop or you will be caught.” Quinn turned around and glared at Puck. “Now, I would like to go over a few guidelines for those trick or treating Sunday.”
The walls of the school practically shook from the student body groaning. Mr. Figgins started going over the guidelines that they should go in pairs or with an adult, not to go up to houses without the light on, and to, “Be aware of razor blades hidden in candy.”
Mercedes cocked her head to the side and scrunched up her nose.
“I thought that was a myth.” Artie voiced.
“Also, as the leaders of our future, the faculty of William McKinley, and your parents, advise you to not throw any Halloween bangers this weekend.” Santana, Puck, and Sam all sniggered earning hits from Quinn, Lauren, and Mercedes. “Your safety is our number one priority.”
Figgins cleared his throat and was heard pulling a piece of paper out (with some difficulty).
“Now, for the long, awaited, results.” There was a dramatized pause.
“Oh get on with it!” Santana shouted at the intercom.
“Santana.” Mr. Schue said softly but sternly.
Quinn placed a calming hand on Santana’s knee. This was one of Santana’s not so cute moments. The Latina sighed and rolled her eyes dramatically.
“This is bull-“
“In third place we have Rachel Berry as Miss Fanny Brice.”
“What? This was handmade, I even got it dry cleaned!” Rachel exclaimed.
“Can it hobbit.” Santana snapped.
Rachel did her signature pout and crossed her arms defiantly. Santana had migrated to the edge of her seat and was staring lasers into the intercom.
“In second place, we have a couples costumes. With a new take on Rizzo and Sandy from Grease, we have teenage lesbians Santana Lopez and Quinn Fabray.”
‘Figgins needs to learn to stop misidentifying sexualities.’ Quinn thought to herself. Just because they were two females in a relationship and Santana was a lesbian didn’t mean Quinn was. Or anyone else for that matter.
“What?” Santana flew out of her seat like a rocket taking off. Her chair tipped over in her wake.
“Here we go.” Mercedes tossed her hand up, remembering when they had lost the couples duet (which Santana still was mad at Sam for even though he understood he just wasn’t ready to come out yet).
“Our winner is Jacob Ben Israel as Dark Vader.”
“It’s Darth.” Sam muttered.
Santana was pacing the choir room, wanting desperately to run her hand through her hair but knew it would ruin her Rizzo hair.
“The top three winners can report to Miss Pillsbury office to take photographs with their trophies. Have a spooktastic day.”
“I’m going to kill that jewfro! I mean, how can he even fit his afro in to that helmet? It would break!” Santana was screaming.
“Santana-“ Mr. Schue started calmly.
Santana started storming out of the choir room, her eyes blazing ferociously.
“Oh no.” Quinn hopped out of her seat with Puck and Sam in toe. “Santana! Leave the small, perverted boy alone!” It was hard to chase after the Latina in heels.
The rest of the glee club got out of their seats to follow, anticipating Santana going Lima Heights on JBI. Truth be told, everyone in glee club had wanted to see that boy hit at least once.
“Guys!” Mr. Schue threw his hands up exasperated and ran his hand through his hair.
“And people say I’m a sore loser.” Rachel muttered as she hurried after the rest.
Santana was stalking the halls looking for a mini Darth Vader. He was so small and Darth Vader costumes were so cheap, they were basically a onesie, he couldn’t be hard to find. Santana was enraged. How could that perverted dwarf win with such a low grade costume of a cliche character?
She finally spotted him, about to enter Miss Pillsbury office. She would never in a million years admit this, even if she was held at gunpoint by one Sue Sylvester, but she was impressed. JBI’s costume wasn’t a onesie. It looked like it was the actual costume from the 80’s. For a second, just a second, Santana second guessed attacking the boy. He was big and covered in plastic.
But alas, he stole her rightful first place, and she was Santana fucking Lopez. Lucky for her he had his helmet off, so she slipped her heel off and chucked it down the hall. Somehow it hit him square in the head.
“Ow!” He started rubbing his head.
Santana became unhinged. She charged the poor boy, tackling him to the floor.
“Oh shit.” Puck said before him and Sam ran after the deranged woman.
Quinn shook her head and followed. ‘I’m dating a psychopath.’
“Stop the violence.”
Santana didn’t really hurt him since he was protected by all the plastic of the suit, but she did scratch him by his eye (fitting for his character). It took Puck, Sam, and Mr. Schue to pull Santana off of JBI and back towards the choir room.
“Don’t mess with Lime Heights!” Santana kicked her legs wildly.
For everyone’s sake, Quinn hoped they won tomorrow at the party. Santana losing (especially to Halloween) while intoxicated was not something anyone wanted to happen.

Tibby idk if we are mutuals but to me you are the one whose article about how men in movies and tv are the same as teen girls in other tv and movies I would read and trust.
I hope I am conveying this ok! I mean I feel like the way you draw connections between various media and like depictions of girlhood and fraught connections between girls in media is really interesting!!!
OH LMAO thank you!!! i take some issue with the way twitter and tumblr and tiktok try to present "girlhood" as this unifying thing every woman on earth can relate to, as if every single woman (or woman adjacent, given that i personally do not identify as such but that is how i was raised and how i am perceived. but i digress!) have had the exact same experiences across the board. and a lot of it results in tenuous links between various characters in media who have nothing in common except...being women. maybe sharing a genre.
and it's funny to me, because the same links can be made between just about any character if you try hard enough, and the idea of writing off middle aged men as teen girl coded is entertaining. i don't think there's enough there to ever explore it outside of joke posts, but also if there's one truth i know, it's that peter strahm is betty cooper coded. but betty cooper is not necessarily peter strahm coded. SHE is the blueprint and he is the copy, and she actually outsmarted the killer who had a psychosexual obsession with her, so.
and maybe that is making a mockery of quote unquote girlhood but also the idea of ""girlhood"" as presented on tumblr is so empty and hollow and reinforces gender roles and acts like a universal concept when it really isn't.
like. jason blossom fulfils the role of laura palmer and lawrence gordon is a quinn fabray kinnie and eduardo from the social network would relate to the melodrama alsbum. does any of this fucking mean anything? not necesarily! but neither do "womanhood is [specific experience of the op who doesn't realise not everyone lives in suburban ohio]" posts.
anyway this sounds like me being a hater and also now i'm concerned i misinterpreted what you were trying to say, as i sometimes do. but much love anyway and never forget that in a world where the term has been butchered to mean "any woman in a horror movie," matias o'brien IS a final girl <3

This is the first chapter of my new fic CONSEQUENCES.
The whole fic is posted at FF.NET A/N: I'm not sure I like this story. It's much darker than my normal Glee stuff but it wouldn't leave me alone and let me write what I wanted to until I got this out. It also went in a lot of different directions that I wasn't expecting. Hopefully, the story is still cohesive and coherent.
It ended up in unexpected places and is much longer than I'd originally plotted. Sometimes, characters have minds of their own. It also ended up much better than I'd originally thought it would.
AU after Mash Off
Also, this fic does not fit anywhere into my own “Brittana World”.
Fair Warning: I hate Finn Hudson.
Trigger Warnings: homophobic slurs, racial slurs, racism, homophobia, violence, attempted rape.
XOXOXOXOXO
Chapter 1
Finn Hudson was laughing at something Puck had said when a blur of blonde knocked him off his chair and began pummeling him. He tried to protect himself from the fists that were flying at him seemingly from every direction. A crunch of cartilage signaled the breaking of his nose. Suddenly, the weight that had been sitting on his chest lifted and the fists stopped. The blur of blonde resolved itself into a screaming Brittany; Puck was holding her by the waist, Sam and Mike each holding an arm, and she was fighting them to get back to Finn.
“It's all your fault! You did this! And you're laughing! You think it's funny? YOU DID THIS! THIS IS BECAUSE OF YOU! AND YOU'RE NOT EVEN SORRY! I HATE YOU! I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!”
A quick clicking of heels down the hallway signaled the arrival of another person. Quinn Fabray hurried into the choir room and looked at Brittany.
“Oh, sweetheart,” her voice was soft but Brittany obviously heard it and stopped fighting the boys holding her back.
“Quinn,” Brittany's lip trembled and tears started slipping down her cheeks as her face crumpled “it's all his fault...”
“Let her go.” It was a soft but firm demand.
The three guys did as Quinn commanded but stood ready to grab Brittany in case she went after Finn again. Brittany fell into Quinn's arms sobbing.
Something was definitely wrong. Brittany Pierce was not violent. She didn't hit people. She certainly didn't hate people. She cried pretty; she didn't sob.
“It's going to be okay, honey.”
“It's his fault, Quinn, and he was LAUGHING. He did this and he was LAUGHING. He doesn't even CARE!”
“Shhh … I know, sweetheart, I know. It's going to be okay.” Quinn held onto her sobbing best friend and gently rubbed her back and stroked her hair. Eventually, the sobbing slowed to soft sniffles and hiccups. Quinn pulled away from her and asked, “Did you get everything you needed?” Off Brittany's nod she continued, “where is it?”
“In the hallway,” came the sniffled reply.
“Okay.” Quinn looked around the room until she spotted Mercedes. “Mercedes?”
Mercedes stepped down the risers. “What do you need, girl?” her voice low and soothing, trying not to startle Brittany.
Quinn reached into the pocket of her blazer and handed Mercedes her car keys. “Can you take Britt and get her cleaned up and sit with her in my car? I'll be out shortly.” Mercedes took the keys with a nod.
“Brittany, sweetheart? Go with Mercedes, okay? I'll be out in a few minutes and then we'll go back to the hospital.”
Brittany nodded and let go of Quinn, allowing Mercedes to put an arm around her waist and lead her out of the choir room.
“Wait, Mercedes … Quinn … Brittany can't just leave,” Mr. Schue stuttered, “We have to go to Principal Figgins' office and …”
“Mr. Schue, I'm going to stop you right now,” Quinn said, steel in her voice; anger blazing in her eyes.
“Actions have consequences, Quinn! Brittany broke Finn's nose! She can't just …”
“She can. You can go to Figgins' office after I say what I have to say. Right now Brittany doesn't care if she gets suspended or even expelled. She's not going to be in school for the foreseeable future. And, yes, actions have consequences … unless you're Finn Hudson.”
She looked at Finn Hudson with obvious distaste. “Around two months ago, Finn's ACTION caused Santana a lot of pain and heartache …”
“Really, Quinn, that's all in the past. Santana …” Rachel interrupts her.
“Rachel, finish that sentence and you'll wish Brittany was still in the room,” Quinn's eyes flashed dangerously. “As I was saying, around two months ago Finn's ACTION caused a lot of consequences for Santana and Brittany but Finn never suffered a one. Not a SINGLE CONSEQUENCE for Finn Hudson OUTING Santana in the middle of a crowded hallway. That action caused a domino effect. A campaign ad forcing Santana to come out to her parents and her abuela before she was ready. Santana and Brittany are STILL paying consequences for FINN'S action.”
Tina chimes in, “I thought Santana was okay? I mean, she said her parents were okay with it and, yeah, her abuela disowned her but …”
“She lied.” Quinn shrugs, interrupting. “Santana isn't the person you all think she is. She didn't want pity or attention. She lied because school was the easiest battle to quit fighting. Her parents weren't okay with it.”
XOXOXOXOXO
(Flashback, Quinn's POV)
Quinn had just climbed into bed and turned off the light when her phone rang. She was going to ignore it but it was 11:15 at night and nothing good could be coming from a phone call at that hour. She grabbed her phone and saw Brittany's number.
“Hey, Britt, what's up?”
“Hey, Quinn,” Brittany's voice sounded strained, “have you, um, have you heard from Santana?”
Quinn frowned. Why would she have heard from Santana? “No, Britt, I haven't. Should I have?”
Brittany sighed. “She was going to tell her parents about the ad and being gay tonight at dinner. They were both actually going to be home tonight. That was at 6. She promised me she'd text or call by 9 no matter what happened. When I didn't hear from her by 9:30, I texted her and got no answer. Same at 9:45, 10, 10:15, and 10:30. At 11 I called and it went straight to voicemail.” Brittany's voice cracked and she sniffled. “I'm scared, Quinn.”
“I'll be there in fifteen minutes, Britt.”
“Thanks, Q.”
Quinn hung up and quickly threw on a pair of leggings and a hoodie. She threw her phone in her purse and headed downstairs. She tried to be quiet so as not to let her mother hear her but she didn't have to worry; Judy was passed out on the couch with an almost empty bottle of vodka sitting on the coffee table. Quinn shook her head and covered her mother with an afghan on her way out the door.
She pulled into the Pierce driveway; all the downstairs lights were on and Brittany was sitting on the front porch. She looked up as Quinn's headlights flooded the front of the house, got up, and hurried to the car.
“Hey, you okay?” Quinn asked as Brittany slid into the passenger seat.
Brittany shook her head. “I still haven't heard from her and I still can't reach her.”
Quinn nodded. “What do you want to do?”
“Sneak in?”
Quinn raised an eyebrow.
“I just need to see she's okay, Quinn. Or rescue her if she's not.” Brittany shrugged. “It's not like we've never snuck in or out before,” a small grin crept across Brittany's face.
“That's true,” Quinn chuckled and put the car into gear. “Your parents still up?”
“Yeah. They're worried, too.” Brittany sighed. “She doesn't break her promises to me, Quinn. She promised she'd call or text.”
Quinn nodded and they fell into silence.
Ten minutes later they were pulling into Santana's driveway. Quinn she knew exactly where to stop the car to avoid activating the motion detector lights; as Brittany had said, it wasn't their first time sneaking in or out of Santana's house. The whole house was dark. They left the doors unlocked and crept around the fence to the side of the house. There were no lights on that side because the neighbors had complained; every time a raccoon or a rabbit wandered into the yard, the lights came on.
They crossed the yard once they were across from the side door to the garage. Brittany used her key to open the door (Santana's parents had no idea that Brittany had a key to the side garage door) and crept in slowly. They used the flashlight apps on their phones to guide them. The garage would hold four cars but Santana's older brother, Gabriel, had moved to California the previous summer so the only cars in the garage were Santana's mother's Honda CRV, her father's Cadillac, and Santana's Jeep. Brittany checked the Jeep and saw Santana's current Cheerios' duffle bag in the back, along with her school backpack, and her Cheerios' jacket. She and Quinn shared a look.
They crept up the stairs and opened the door to the mud/laundry room. Brittany quickly punched in the code to disarm the alarm. Quinn made a mental note to remind her to re-arm it when they left.
Exiting the laundry room, directly across from it, was a small bathroom. To the right was a family room that Santana and her friends often used for sleepovers. To the left were two stairs that led to the kitchen and the door to the basement was directly at the top and to the left of the stairs. The were silent as they entered the kitchen. Quinn pointed to the island; a set of keys with a Cheerios' pom-pom key chain was sitting there next to a phone. Brittany listened for a moment but the house was silent. She quickly crossed the kitchen to the island and held up the phone; Quinn recognized Santana's phone case.
Quinn was now getting really nervous. Santana's room was in the basement. She quietly opened the door and saw a dim light at the bottom so she motioned to Brittany to follow. They silently went down the stairs and saw light coming from Santana's room. They hurried across the basement and entered the room. It looked like a hurricane had gone through it. Santana wasn't the neatest person but it was never this bad. Glaringly obvious was the fact that Santana wasn't here and she apparently left in a hurry. Brittany crossed to the closet and reached up to the top shelf, grabbing down several old Cheerios' duffle bags. She tossed two to Quinn.
“They kicked her out,” Brittany's voice was laced with anger. “That dresser,” she pointed to a chest of drawers, “underwear and socks are the top two small drawers. Pajama bottoms and sleep shirts are in the top big drawer; sweats and sweatshirts in the bottom two. Empty them?”
Quinn nodded and got to work as Brittany rifled through the closet. She came out with two lock boxes and two rolling suitcases. She put the lock boxes into one of the rolling suitcases then added Santana's jewelry boxes. She went through the desk and grabbed school work and a few keepsakes from the top; she then turned the center drawer upside down and grabbed three envelopes taped there. Quinn watched as Brittany climbed onto the desk to reach the top of the wardrobe and came down with several notebooks. She tossed those into one of the remaining duffle bags. She slid under the bed and came out with two more notebooks and a guitar.
“Do you know all her hiding spots?” Quinn asked, impressed with Brittany's thoroughness.
“I hope so. This is the only shot we're going to have at this.”
Quinn nodded knowing Brittany was right; Santana's parents would know someone had been here and would probably change all the locks and the alarm code. Quinn watched as Brittany scanned the room making sure they hadn't left anything important behind. Quinn had packed up all of Santana's extra Cheerios uniforms and emptied “Brittany's drawer” so that was taken care of. Brittany shook her head. “I think that's everything important. We gotta go.”
Quinn looked at the packed duffle bags, the guitar, and the suitcases trying to figure out how they were going to get it all upstairs and out to her car quietly and in one trip. Brittany slung a duffle over each shoulder, wore the guitar in front of her, and grabbed one of the suitcases. She looked at Quinn and Quinn nodded, following her lead. As quickly and quietly as possible they moved up the stairs, pausing at the top to listen for Santana's parents. All was silent. Down the two steps, a right into the laundry room and out into the garage. Brittany paused at Santana's Jeep. She set down the duffle bags and opened the rear door, grabbing Santana's backpack and slinging it onto her back before re-situating the duffle bags. She grabbed the suitcase from Quinn and nodded at the extra duffle and the jacket. Quinn grabbed the jacket and slipped it on over her hoodie, then grabbed the duffle and silently closed the Jeep's rear door. Quinn shook her head; Brittany was carrying the guitar, a backpack, two duffle bags, and two suitcases. She was in Beast Mode. Quinn made sure she had a grip on the three duffle bags and out they went. They followed the same path back to the car and loaded most of it into the trunk; the guitar was placed carefully in the back seat.
“I need to go make sure the door is locked; I don't want her parents to know how anyone got in.” Brittany said before sprinting back toward the garage. Quinn started the car and Brittany was back in five minutes.
“Did you remember to re-arm the alarm?”
Brittany nodded. “Yeah. I forgot until I locked the door then I remembered. That's why it took so long.”
“Where to?”
“My house. We'll see if she's shown up there. I doubt it because my mom would have called me but …” Brittany trailed off and Quinn knew she didn't have a better idea.
It was almost 1am by the time they got back to Brittany's. They had taken a circuitous route, checking to see if Santana was maybe still walking toward Brittany's house. All the lights were all still on when they finally got back to Britt's house. Brittany and Quinn walked in and found Brittany's parents in the living room.
“I take it you didn't find her?” Whitney asked, concern clear in her voice.
Brittany shook her head. “It looks like they threw her out. Her phone, keys, and car were all there. Her room looked like a whirlwind went through it and there was no sign of her. Unless they locked her in one of the upstairs rooms …” Brittany trailed off.
“Britt … she'd have left a light on and would have been screaming her head off.” Quinn tried to assuage Brittany's fears. They hadn't even thought to check upstairs.
Brittany nodded. “Even if her voice gave out, you're right … there would have been lights on in whatever room she was in. She'd have known I'd come looking.” She seemed to accept that as fact. “I don't know what to do now.” She looked like she was about to cry.
“Let's empty the car. Then you can wait here in case she shows up and I'll drive in every direction from her driveway. She may have not even thought about where she was going or where she could go and she couldn't call you so you could tell her it was okay to come here. It's possible she just … wandered.”
“Yeah.” She looked at Quinn. “What … what did you do when …”
Quinn shook her head. “Finn was there. I wasn't alone. But I remember being … not disoriented, exactly, but like my brain just couldn't function. I couldn't think. I was … disconnected from everything. I just kind of … shut down.”
Brittany nodded. “That makes sense. Santana was alone. She wouldn't have had anyone to help her or guide her. Yeah. Let's empty the car out …” Brittany looked at her parents. “I didn't even ask … um …”
“Of course she can stay here, sweetie. I'm sure you girls will sleep in your room but she can have the guest room right next to yours so she has a place of her own.” Whitney answered the unspoken question kindly. “She's welcome to stay as long as she needs to.”
Brittany threw her arms around her mother. “Thank you,” she whispered. Whitney simply hugged her and rubbed her back.
Brittany pulled away and wiped her eyes. “Okay, let's get her stuff in here so you can go looking.”
With Brittany's parents helping, it only took one trip to get everything into the house. Brittany handed a pair of sweatpants and sweatshirt to Quinn. “She probably left with only her Cheerios uniform and her long sleeved undershirt. It's so cold out,” she bit her lip nervously, “she's probably freezing. I hope she thought to put track pants on or a hoodie or something.” Tears welled in her eyes.
Quinn hugged her and took the clothes. “I'll call you when I find her.”
Brittany just looked at her brokenly.
“I'm going to find her, B, I promise. I won't give up until I do.” Quinn's voice sounded a lot more sure than she felt but she was determined to find Santana and bring her back to Brittany. Another quick hug and she was out the door and back in her car.
She drove back to Santana's house and looked at each direction trying to decide where Santana would go if not to Brittany. She suddenly remembered a small park that was about a mile away from the house so she headed in that direction, keeping an eye out in case Santana was still walking along the road.
She got to the park and got out of the car, taking the clothes with her. She was feeling pretty confident that this would be where she'd find Santana. She walked into the park and saw a small figure curled up on a bench near the frozen duck pond. The person's head was resting on a duffle bag and the body was under a large quilt. Quinn got nearer and let out a sigh of relief when she recognized Santana.
“Santana,” she called softly approaching the bench slowly, not wanting to spook the Latina.
The small figure sat up and looked toward Quinn with vacant eyes. “Quinn? What are you doing here?”
“Brittany is really worried. We've been looking everywhere for you.”
“I'm okay. Tell Britt … just … tell her I'm fine.”
“Santana, you're not fine.” Santana was in her Cheerios' uniform and a long sleeved undershirt; she was shivering violently and her teeth were chattering so hard Quinn was afraid she was going to chip them.
Quinn handed her the sweatpants and sweatshirt, removing the jacket and handing that over as well. “You're freezing. Brittany gave me these to give to you when I found you.”
Santana listlessly put on the sweatpants and hoodie and slipped the jacket on over them. She then wrapped the quilt back around herself and sat back down on the bench. “Thanks.”
“Santana, get your ass in the car. I am NOT going back to Brittany and telling her I found you but didn't bring you back with me.”
“I can't, Quinn,” she said, her voice devoid of any emotion, “I can't drag her down with me. I can't … I just can't … I've got nothing to offer her. I'm homeless. That ad is going to run and everything is just going to get worse. She doesn't deserve that. I'm never getting out of this town. I'm … nothing.” She finished in a hoarse whisper.
Quinn slapped her. “You're a fucking idiot. Brittany loves you. We did a little breaking and entering to find out what happened and stole a bunch of your stuff. It's at Britt's house. In a room that her mother has designated as YOUR room. Brittany is out of her mind with worry. Whitney and Pierce are still awake because THEY'RE worried. I was in bed when Brittany called me and I'm here in the middle of the night in the fucking freezing cold arguing with an idiot.”
Santana looked at Quinn, silent tears rolling down her face. “Why?”
“Because we love you,” Quinn said, softening. She sat down on the bench and put an arm around her shoulders and pulled her into a hug. “You're a bitch but you're our bitch. Now …” Quinn stood back up and offered Santana her hand, “you can either come with me now or I'll be back in half an hour with Brittany.” Quinn quirked a brow at Santana. “Really think you'll be able to resist her and her pout?”
Santana let out a tired, wet chuckle and took Quinn's hand. “Not a chance.”
Quinn grabbed Santana's bag as Santana wrapped the quilt more tightly around her shoulders; she was still shivering pretty badly and her teeth were still chattering. Once she started the car she set the heat on blast and dialed Brittany.
“Quinn? Did you …”
“I've got her, Britt. I'm bringing her home.” She handed the phone to Santana.
“Britt?”
“Santana! Oh, thank god! I was so worried. Are you okay?”
“Cold. Tired. No, Britt, I don't think I am.”
“I love you. It's gonna be okay. We're going to get through this together, baby, I promise you.”
Santana finally broke down and started sobbing. Quinn took the phone as she pulled back into the Pierce's driveway for the third time that night. “We're here, Britt.”
The door flew open and Brittany came tearing out of the house. She reached the passenger door and wrenched it open, kneeling down and gathering Santana in her arms. “I've got you, baby. I've got you. I'm here. Everything is going to be okay.” She cooed softly as she held tightly to Santana, gently rubbing her back. “I've got you.” It was several moments before Santana took a shuddering breath and pulled back from Brittany. “You ready to go in?” Santana nodded and Brittany took her hand and helped her out of the car as Quinn grabbed the duffle bag from the back seat and scooped up the quilt Santana had left on the passenger seat.
As soon as they walked in, Whitney enveloped Santana in a warm, reassuring hug. “You're okay, sweetie,” she said as Santana sighed softly, relaxing into the embrace.
Brittany took the things Quinn was holding and ran them down the hall to Santana's room as Whitney moved them all into the kitchen. When Brittany joined them she pulled Santana into her lap and wrapped her arms tightly around the Latina; Santana's shivering had mostly stopped but her teeth were still chattering. Whitney gave them all a mug of hot chocolate and put out a plate of cookies.
“Santana … why didn't you come here?” Brittany asked.
Santana sighed. “I don't want to drag you down with me, Britt. That ad is going to run and … god, Britt, it's going to be so bad.” Tears started sliding down her face again.
“I don't care about any of that. I love you. That's what I care about. Loving you means standing by you through the shitstorm that's coming.” She cupped Santana's chin gently. “Look at me, Santana.” When Santana lifted her eyes to Brittany, Brittany smiled. “You're not alone.”
“Santana, sweetie, you can stay her for as long as you need to. You'll have your own room even though I know you two girls won't sleep apart but you'll still have your own space. You will have to share Brittany's bathroom, though.” Whitney smiled kindly at Santana. “Like Brittany said … you're not alone. Okay?”
Santana nodded and looked at Quinn. “Thank you.” She whispered as she looked around the table, “all of you.” She leaned her head against Brittany's shoulder; she looked exhausted. “But … I … don't want anyone to know I got kicked out. I don't want their pity or whatever.” She sighed heavily. “I just … I can't fight all these battles anymore. I'm so tired of fighting.” Her eyes fluttered. “Let them think their 'Lady Music Week' worked and I'm all good now. Please?”
Brittany and Quinn looked at each other then nodded.
“We have to at least let the administration know you're living here. That way anything you need for school will come here.” Whitney paused deep in thought. “There are a few things we'll need to do but all of that can wait. It's late.” She looked at the clock. “Very late. Quinn, you'll stay here tonight. It's been a long, emotional night and I don't want to worry about you driving home. You can sleep in Santana's room … I'm sure Brittany isn't going to let go of Santana any time soon.”
The three girls chuckled and Quinn nodded. “Thank you, Whitney.”
“Now, go to bed girls. Get some rest. Sleep in. Try to make it in by third period and I'll write you all excuses. I'm guessing it's going to be a long couple of days.”
The three girls got up and each of them hugged Whitney before walking down the hall to the bedrooms. Brittany got fresh toothbrushes for Quinn and Santana and they all got ready in silence.
Santana hugged Quinn tightly. “Thanks, bitch.” She smiled.
“I'd say anytime but … let's not make this a habit.” Quinn grinned.
“Good night, Quinn.”
“Good night, Santana.”
Santana slipped into Brittany's bedroom and Brittany pulled Quinn into a fierce hug. “Thank you, Quinn. So much. I don't know what I'd have done if you weren't here. Thank you for answering. Thank you for coming. Thank you for finding her; for bringing her to me. Just … thank you.”
“I love you, Brittany. I love her, too. I'm really glad I was able to help.” Quinn said, hugging Brittany just as tightly.
“I love you, too. Good night.” Brittany pulled back and smiled softly. “See you in the morning.”
“Good night, Britt.” Quinn watched as Brittany closed the door and then went into her room, closing the door behind her. She climbed into bed and glanced at her phone. 3:30am. Tomorrow was going to be hell.
(End Flashback)
XOXOXOXOXO
“And none of you noticed. I mean, she used the word “y'all” when she told you about her parents and nobody questioned it when Brittany said 'No way!'.” Quinn rolls her eyes. “As if Brittany wouldn't have been Santana's first call after that conversation.” Quinn shakes her head. “Santana told you what you wanted to hear and showed you what you wanted to see because it was easier than continuing to fight a lost battle. She was outed. Nothing was going to change that. So she's been living at the Pierces' ever since.”

he loved her, he loved her, he loved her. she was a like breath of fresh air, he told her, she made him feel normal. where have you been all my life, quinn fabray? carter loveless. as in jane austen's if i loved you less, i might be able to talk about it more. but all men do is lie. and let their mothers treat their supposed love of their lives like shit. let it be known, quinn fabray is a certified feminist. but celia loveless is a certified cunt. the older woman who hired a private investigator to look into her son's girlfriend and decided to throw it back into her face, use it to embarrass her. did you know quinn was a teen mom? oh, yeah. then she just gave up the poor thing. couldn't even take responsibility. we don't have to worry about you giving up a future grandchild, do we? and that stupid rich person laugh. followed by her daughter's stupid laugh. now she wanted to jump over the table and in her best friend's words go all lima heights on her ass, that's what santana would've done. carter immediately moved the knife on her plate out of sight. as if he knew. "mom —," "you know, celia, we have a lot of common. i didn't raise my kid, you definitely didn't raise your kids, so i don't think you should be giving anyone parenting advice, you cunt," how dare you. where do you get off talking to me like that? "oh, are you upset? you have so much botox and fillers i couldn't tell," her attention moving to his sister right after, "and they had to pay half a million dollars to get you into usc because they thought you were too stupid to get in on your own and they were right!"
"you called my mom a cunt, my sister stupid, quinn, and you don't see anything wrong with that?" the man ran his hands over his face because of course this was so stressful for him. "i'm sorry, were you there when beth was brought into it? how it was so funny that a sixteen year old girl gave her baby up for adoption? i had to defend myself because you sure as hell weren't gonna do it. she did it to embarrass me, carter," the blonde immediately shot back. ""babe, she didn't mean it, that's just how she is sometimes. okay? i just think if you apologized first and were the bigger person —," and in that moment she understood why so many women snapped and killed their boyfriends and husbands because jesus christ. men were the worst. santana was always telling her to get a girlfriend for a reason. "not only am i not apologizing to leather face and her dumb ass daughter, i would never have children with fucking a pussy ass momma's boy, carter," santana lopez would be proud. she'd be even prouder if her best friend let her beat his ass, but that wasn't really an option at the moment.
dainty gold ring cladded hands ran over the yale university diplomas in their respective frames. two degrees in social work. lima, lima, lima. she put six hundred and seventy miles between her and lima when she went to new haven. then it was eight hundred when she moved to boston. lima, ohio. typical middle america. she tells people she's from columbus when they ask. well, it's close enough, because people from big cities would rarely know where a little town in the middle of ohio is. the town that she so badly wanted to escape once upon a time. she no longer thinks of her hometown like that. something to run from. instead it's something that welcomes her home no matter what's going on in her life. and right now she needed to be home. so there she was. in what once was the office of emma pillsbury, making it her own little piece of mckinley. maybe it's true what they say, that one way or another, you'll always find your way back home.
william mckinley was like a time warp. and finn hudson was everywhere. ten years felt like just yesterday and a million years ago all the same time. her chest hurt so bad the last time she was here as if it often did. the past summer. her friends always keeping their promises. by now, most of them were married or had kids. yet, quinn was content with being aunt quinn, aunt q, or 'inn, for the littlest ones. her baby was thirteen and she still remembered how much that shit hurt, so she was fine, thank very much. by now, all the students who ever knew finn hudson had graduated and moved on. to current students, he was solely the name on the auditorium. time was such a weird thing. with the sound of footsteps coming closer and pulling her out of her thoughts, the blonde turned around to see who it was. a smile immediately etching on her lips, sam evans. a magnificent duet partner, an even more amazing person. maybe the one that got away. "hi, sam," she spoke up, green eyes settling onto his blue ones. "you think this school's big enough for the both of us?"

Rate your favorite ND female characters
Hey question asker! Thanks for asking. It's been long since somebody asked me. I never thought about this question because I solely love Kurt Hummel only with Blaine, Puck, Mike and such. I actually have no ranking for girls as well as boys. But let's see.
In order to get myself away from less trouble, let me rank it in s1-3 and then s4-s6
1.Tina Cohen Queen Chang
Tumblr media
She has more plus for me than minus. I am not saying because I am an asian myself but she takes the cake. She sings well(underrated girl), she dances well(they put her in grp A:Better dancers in "Ice Ice Baby") and she is an unsung hero: sewing costumes for and members. She accepted many things without a say. I can feel her emotions.
2.Mercedes Jones
Tumblr media
She is a less problematic character. Her smile is just out of the world. She just wonna sing and succeed in her life. I am glad she didn't end up with anybody because she showed me that it's okay to be without a partner. Sometimes, solitude let's you achieve more. I am subjective about her voice but Human nature is my favourite. Her duo with Kurt lit up my screen in early seasons. I didn't like her in Troubletones. It brought worst of everybody.
3. Quinn Fabray
Tumblr media
This is somewhat unpopular now. But I prefer her. She started as a normal high school cheerleading head with head weight and had almost everything she wanted. But once she got pregnant, the harsh reality of life hit her life rock. She was pulled down many times after a development but she was a work in process. She learnt that there was life after high school. And she sticking with nd in s3 after Troubletone was formed warmed my heart.
Also, she is one of my favourite voices. She"?'s got stage presence.
I am going to kill myself for ranking these people after this. They had good moments but I disliked them some times.
4. Santana Lopez
Tumblr media
She is really ,"darling, I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream". She is Charming, hot (yes, I'll admit) but she was a little Satan. But I survived the NYC plot because of Kurt and her. Until that famous funny girl fight came.
Her rants were okay sometimes, but it got worse in later seasons. She started to rant just because she wanted too. But she was a better friend. She is one of the people who will be like," I can roast my friends like barbeque but I can only roast."
And anybody who says Kurt cried for unnecessary reasons, think of this girl who cried for cutting tanning privileges and for calling out she was mean.
Her voice is subjective too for me.
5. Lauren Zizes
Tumblr media
She was nice addition to nd when Kurt left. Plus, Ashley Fink has good comedic timing and is charming. I love her attitude where she didn't give 2 shit about what other people said but she lowkey was a bully too.
Her voice isn't for singing but she is entertaining.
6.Rachel Berry
Tumblr media
Her whole character started as somebody who will do anything to achiever her cake. I didn't care about her most of the times but she she really got on my nerves in later seasons. I felt like slapping her multiple times. She doesn't want to listen to anybody, she sent a person to a crack house just because she was threatened, she threw many people under the bus for no reason. She is one of the worse dancers too.
She was annoying downright at nyada and successses were served in her plate. I know she was work g hard but she had to let her work speak, not her mouth. I still can't digest that Rachel kept pestering Carmen when Kurt waited patiently. He did go to Carmen for second chance, but at least he did his first audition better, and he took effort to make a video tape if him singing another song(wake me up before you go go in acoustic version is pretty questionable though).
I was so happy that her tv pilot failed and she became slightly better. Also confusing your boyfriend about his career when he was already confused just so he could be with you?Nope for me.
I do t know how people love her and hate Kurt.
Her songs are totally subjective .
7. Brittany S. Pierce
Tumblr media
I don't like her for some reason. She was bland for me. Not interesting. And I don't care for Brittana. Also she posted a sex tape of herself and girlfriend and got away. She kept dating people, she didn't have a stable mind on loving people. Also, her lines were sometimes hilarious but they were insulting.
9. Sugar Motta
Tumblr media
Sugar Motta was... There. That's it. She was just a cash cow. She was funny sometimes but she is not for me.
Now for s4-s6
1. Unique Addams
Tumblr media
The love child of Kurt and Mercedes. I liked her among later season nd members. She is a diva but she didn't throw people under her bus. Much like Kurt. I like her voice. I didn't like her catfishing but she was ok.
2. Tina Cohen Chang
Her explanation suits her too and I agree her on being bossy because putting up with a glee club for 3 seasons and when it's her senior year, she gotta enjoy and have her privilege. Her crush on Blaine was creepy but I understand. That's it.
3. Madison Mccarthy
Tumblr media
She was an adorable munchkin. She was a supportive twin, I liked her energy. Wish we got her more.
4. Jane Hayward
Unfortunately Tumblr doesn't allow more than 10 pics.
I didn't care about her. She was okay.
5. Marley Rose
She was nice. She had great voice. She had sympathetic story. But I have nothing special about her
6. Kitty Wilde.
She was annoying to an extent. But she was better in s6.
That's it, folks. I had a nerve wrecking fun type. Thank you for making me think.
And oh, you can expect my 3rd Valentine one shot by tomorrow :)
See you then. I don't mean to trigger anybody. These are my personal opinion.

1X05- The Rhodes Not Taken
Tumblr media
SCENE 1 : Repetition Hall's - Will and the Cast
Ringtone - Will hanging a poster to recruit in the Glee Club.
Finn and Quinn followed in chorus by the Cast- Song : Don't Stop Belivin'
In the repetition hall's, Will rehearsed the cast with couple lighthouse Quinn and Finn.
Suddenly, Quinn nausea and leaves.
Will : Quinn, you OK?
Quinn ran out.
Finn : I think she just had a bad breakfast burrito.
Kurt : Can we please talk about the giant elephant in the room?
Santana : Your sexuality?
Kurt : Rachel. We can't do it without her.
Will : That's not true. We may have to layer Santana Mercedes over Quinn's solo, but...we'll be fine.
Artie : Maybe for the invitationals, but not for the sectionals and certainly not the regionals.
Puck : The wheelchair kid's right. That Rachel chick wants me wanna light myself on fire, but she can sing.
Will : Rachel left, guys. She's gone. If we want to make this thing work, we can't look back. Alright, take five minutes.
Will goes to the piano while the Glee Club gathers. Finn, he goes to Will.
Finn : Mr Shue? I don’t want to tell you how to do your job, but with all the dancing around that Quinn's doing, I’m kind of worried about the baby.
Will : Yeah. Yeah, I get it. Um... how about I give Tina a few of her verses, okay?
Finn : Okay.
Will : You think you might want to tell your mom about what's going on?
Finn : I think I'd rather handle it myself right now. My mom's got enough to worry about.
Will is helpless in the situation.
SCENE 2 : Restaurant - Will, Terri and the server
Will and Terri moved to a table, while Terri swallows tons of cakes.
Will : How come you haven’t had any morning sickness? Quinn Fabray has been upchucking every 15 minutes.
Terri : Really? That’s a really good sign. That means the baby's not a Mongoloid.
Will : Well, is it bad that you haven't been sick then?
Terri : Oh, no, honey, no, no. You should ask Howard Bamboo about my Linda Blair impersonations every half hour at work.
Terri smiled at Will worried.
Will : I don't know what I'm gonna do about this whole Rachel thing.
Server approach.
Server : Hey. Would you like anything else?
Terri : Another piece of grasshopper pie.
Server : What, are you going for the record?
Terri : I'm with child.
The server notes the command embarrassed.
Will : Hey, did you go to McKinley High? I think I had you in my Spanish class.
Server : Yeah, like, five years ago. I go to Carmel now.
Will : How is that possible? You must be 22.
Server : (Laughs) ... Twenty-four. I'm a sixth-year senior. They keep failing me so I can stay in Vocal Adrenaline.
Will : They fail you on purpose?
Server : Yeah.
Will : Is that legal?
Server : I'm the only one who can do the triple flip.
Terri : Yeah. Hey, how about that other piece of pie?
Server : How about it.
The server goes in front of shocked Will. Then, Will uses a piece of pie on the plate Terri always thoughtful.
Terri : Honey, are you all right?
Will : ... Yeah. Fine.
Will smiles.
SCENE 3 : Emma office's - Finn, Emma and Will
Finn sat facing Emma tense.
Finn : So... have I done something wrong... or...?
Emma : Oh, no. No, no. Absolutely not. No, um, actually, I've just, um, taken a special interest in you. Look, I know sometimes that life can come at you pretty fast, and, uh, you reach a point where you might just need a little, um, special guidance.
Finn : Has someone told you something about my personal life?
Emma : No. Mm-mm.
[Flash Back]
Moments earlier, Will in the office talking to Emma.
Will : Can you keep a secret?
[Back to reality]
Emma : But, you know, there are very few students that ever get athletic scholarships. Okay? But there are a lot of schools that give full rides to students who excel in music. Students like yourself. And I don't know, maybe if you were able to go to college, you wouldn't, say, end up stuck in this town in a dead-end job living hand- to-mouth with a wife and a kid you never intended to have, you know? For example. That's just something off the top of my head.
Finn : So you think if I stuck with Glee that I could get a scholarship?
Emma : It’s definitely a possibility. You know? And if you did well at regionals, maybe you could, um, generate some interest.
Finn : But we lost Rachel. Do you think we can do it without her?
Emma : Sure.
[Flash Back]
Moments before, Emma and Will talking in the corridors.
Will : Do you think we can win regionals without Rachel?
Emma : Well, remember the Jamaican bobsled team? Big long shots.
Emma went away.
[Back to reality]
Emma smiling face Finn worried.
Emma : ... Definitely. But if you're concerned about your future and, um, those who may be a part of your future soon, um, maybe you could just give Rachel a talk. You know, see if you can get her to come back.
Finn nodding while the school bell rang.
SCENE 4 : Repetition Hall's - Jacob, Rachel, Sandy and Finn
Rachel interview by Jacob for the Gazette's high school at the microphone.
Jacob : How does it feel to be just a sophomore and get the lead in the school musical?
Rachel : It's an honor. Frankly, one I feel I've earned. If there's anything I've learned in my 16 years on the stage, it's that stars are rare, and when they're found, you have to let them shine.
Jacob stop recording.
Jacob : ... Mm. Show me your bra.
Rachel : You mean the one I'm wearing?
Jacob : Quid pro quo, Rachel. If you want a good review, show me your over the shoulder boulder holder.
Rachel : No way. You can't do that. My performance will stand on its own. Besides, no one reads the school paper, anyway.
Jacob : Oh, but I'll post my scathing review online. You'll be finished on the high school stage. Now, get those sweater puppies out of their cashmere cage.
Rachel rising annoyed.
Jacob : Mm...
At this time, Sandy enters the room running.
Sandy : Sorry I'm late. My Vespa had a flat.(Jacob got up and arranging his affairs.)Give me a minute and I will be ready for my interview.
Jacob : We're actually not gonna need any quotes from you for the article, Mr Ryerson. Do the right thing. All the great actresses take their clothes off.
Sandy : Well, I have no problem with nudity. Let me tell you about « My planned production of Equus. » Have you ever hung out at a stable?
Sandy was driving Jacob out, as Rachel sits down. Finn enters the room and sees Rachel.
Finn : Hey, what are you doing?
Rachel : Nothing. Uh, just... getting the star treatment I didn't get in Glee.
Finn : Totally.
Rachel : It's times like this where I know I've chosen the right path. I'm never going back to Glee. It's clear my talent is too big for an ensemble.
Finn approached her.
Finn : Not gonna get an argument from me.
Rachel : I'm not?
Finn : No. You're, like, the most talented person I know. Even more than that guy at the mall who can juggle chain saws. I just wanted to let you know that if you need someone to run lines with, I'm available.
Rachel : Th ....There is a lot of dialogue.
Finn : I figured... we could go somewhere quiet, maybe with low lighting and... Let me know.
Finn goes off leaving Rachel with a smile.
SCENE 5 : Will office's - Will and Emma
Emma sits opposite to Will with a folder in his hand.
Emma : I could get fired for this.
Will : She was a student 15 years ago. No one is gonna care.
Emma : Okay.
Emma, hesitant, he reluctantly gives the folder. Then, Will, impatient, browse the folder with a smile.
Will : I....I knew it. She never graduated. She....she quit with, like, three credits to go.
Emma : Will. Yeah, I, um, I saw her picture in the folder. Pretty.
Will : Pretty? Mm. April Rhodes was a goddess. The most talented performer in McKinley Glee Club history. When she sang, it was mesmerizing. She was my first crush.I was a freshman,...
Emma : Wait...
Will : ... she was a senior.
Emma : Wait, hold on, 'cause I thought you said your wife was your first crush.
Will : Well, yeah, that's because April didn't even look at me. Aw, crap, there's no forwarding address.
Emma : S....So then you've....you've had feelings for someone other than your wife.
Will : Emma, I'd love to play This Is Your Life, but... (Typing on his computer.) Lord Google demands my attention.
Emma rising.
Emma : Okay, just wait....wait. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Um, reaching back into your past is a dangerous business, okay? People can change. They can, um, disappoint you...
Will : I think I can handle it.
Emma : I thought I could, too. Just hear me out, hear me out. A few years ago, I started an online flirtation with a high school flame Andy. Things got weird, and I called it off. And two months later... ...Versace was dead. Dead.
Will returning to his computer.
Will : Okay.... April Rhodes... Ohio. Oh! She has a MySpace page.
Emma : Oh, God.
Emma placing behind Will.
Will : Oh, and here's a link to her own personal Web site. She's online. "Hi, April."Not sure if you remember me, but my name is Will Schuester."
Emma : 35 Bontempo Road, between 2:00 and 3:00.
Will : Oh! Oh!
Emma : Bring buffalo wings.
SCENE 6 : April House's- Will, April and the agent
Will be guarantor outside her home. Then he goes to his door and rings. It opens the door.
Will : April.
April : Hello. Are you Will?
Will : Y...You remember me?
April : Mm. No, but I don't remember breakfast.
Will and April, drunk, laughing.
April : Come on in.
Will enters a huge house.
April : So, did I sleep with you?
Will : Uh, I was a freshman when you were a senior.
April : So, did I sleep with you?
Will : No.
April : Can I get you a drink? I just cracked open a fresh box of wine.
Will, surprised, follows her.
Will : This is a-a great place you have. Uh, looks like you're doing well for yourself.
April : I get about five or six appointments on a good day from my World Wide Web page, so I do okay for myself.
April, returning with two glasses of wine and a smile.
April : Why don't you have a seat, take off that jacket, and I'm gonna slip into something a little more comfortable.
Three people entered the house this moment.
Will : Mm! ...
Agente : So, this is a beautiful five-bedroom
The agent and the couple were surprised to find people in the house.
Agente : ....with wood-burning fireplace and.... You. This is the third time this week.
Will : Who are you?
Agente : I'm Sandra with Oakcrest Realty. And she is a squatter. This is a bank- owned property. The owners foreclosed six months ago.
April : Let me just get my vino, and I'll be out of your hair. Hold that.
Will : Okay.
April went away.
Will : (Smiling) .... Just... Nice place.
Moments later, Will and April out on the sidewalk. While that April is used again to drink.
Will : Can I ask you a question?
April : Yeah.
Will : What happened to you, April? In high school, you were really going places. You had a voice like a dream; everyone loved you.
April : Oh. Oh, I hitched my star to the wrong wagon. Me and my high school sweetheart Vinny were convinced we were going to be stars, so we dropped out of school and hitchhiked our way to the Broadway.
Will laughs.
April : Then we ended up in Cleveland slinging hash at Ralph's Bait Shop and Waffle House. Then Ralph had an affair with Vinny. I had a set of mixed-race twins. And those were the good times. .... (Chuckles)... (Sighs)...
Will : April... I think your struggle is really moving. And I want to help you get back on your feet. I happen to know that you're only three credits shy of your diploma. I can put you in my Spanish class. And... I know you're an amazing singer. I want you to be in the glee club. We'll get you sobered up... find you some underwear. It's not too late for you, April. What do you say?
April, happy, spills his drink.
SCENE 7 : Repetition Hall's - Will, April and the Cast
Will facing the Glee Club with her friend, April.
Will : Guys, I'd like to introduce you to someone very special. This is April Rhodes. She's our newest member.
April is very enthusiastic.
Finn : Wait, so old people can join Glee Club now?
April : Old, huh? You guys look like the world's worst Benetton ad.
Will : Mm. Mm....
Artie : (Raising hand) Mr Schuester, this seems like a terrible idea.
Will : April is a great singer. And she never graduated.
Mercedes : We appreciate what you're trying to do, but she's no Rachel.
April : Who's Rachel?
Tina : Sh....She's kind of our star.
April : Your star, eh? Well, where is she?
Kurt : She left. to be the lead in Cabaret.
April : Hey, Tinkles, give me "Maybe This Time" in B flat. And don't let me catch you snoozing.
April and Rachel - Song : Maybe This Time
April, pointing to what she can do Cast. While Rachel, meanwhile, repeated his musical.
At the end of the song, while the Glee Club was so impressed that Kurt was in tears.
April : Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
SCENE 8 : Classroom - Will and April
Will, in full Spanish course, questioning students on the court.
Will : So, if I were to say, "I'm going to Mexico for the day," would I use "por" or "para"?
April raised her hand.
April : Mm...
Will : April.
April : « Para ».
Will : « Por ».
April : Oh. I guess I better pour myself another Crantini.
The students are laughing face Will embarrassed and worried that APRIL then smiled and drank his glass.
April : I'm just kidding. It's hot chocolate.
Ring.
Will : All right, remember, guys, oral reports Wednesday. April, can I talk to you for a second?
Students leaving out Will and April alone.
April : I'm sorry, Will. The old noodle just ain't what she used to be. I huffed a lot of upholstery cleaner in the '90s
Will : Look, April, I've been, uh, talking to the glee kids, and, um, I think they're still not so sure about having you around. You draw a lot of attention to yourself. And they're embarrassed enough as it is. So do you think you could maybe take some time and try to win them over?
April smiling.
SCENE 9 : Repetition Hall's - April and Kurt
April drinking Kurt .
April : Yeah.
Kurt : Mm, smells like my Aunt Mildred.
April : Just drink it.
Kurt running.
Kurt : Sweet. With a bit of an afterburny taste.
April : Oh, good Chablis should always have a little bite. Now, a few swigs of that every day before school, and you'll have all the courage you need to be yourself.
April pinching her cheeks.
Kurt : Really?
April : Oh, yeah.
Kurt : That's fantastic.
April : Mm, so is my primo collection of vintage muscle magazines. Want them?
April handing him the books he took with love.
SCENE 10 : Corridor - Kurt and Will
Ring - Kurt, with these magazines, speaks with Kurt.
Kurt : Mr Schuester, I changed my mind. April should stay. I worship her.
Kurt goes leaving Will, aghast.
SCENE 11 : Repetition Hall's - April, Mercedes and Tina
April showing the girls how to put objects hidden between their legs. But things fall.
April : Oh, no, you got to be more natural.
Tina : I c...can't do this.
Mercedes : I don't understand why we're doing this in the first place.
April : Your lack of imagination astounds me. This is only the beginning. If you can master this, you can sneak anything out of a store between your knees.
April, mini-skirt, slips a cabbage between those thighs and walk.
April : Shoes, prom dresses. I once got a cake out of a kid's birthday party. With the candles still lit.
Tina and Mercedes smiling facing April.
SCENE 12 : Will Office's - Will, Tina and Mercedes
Will, anxious face to Tina and Mercedes restyled.
Will : Are you sure?
Mercedes : She can stay.
Tina : T...t....Totally.
SCENE 13 : Cloakroom and corridor - April and Puck
April, the boys in the locker room, taking a shower with Puck.
Moments later, in the corridors, she jokes with the whole football team with Puck.
April : Ah! Ah! Ah! ... Don't tickle me.
Will she passes, stunned by this change in behavior of Glee Club.
SCENE 14 : Repetition Hall's - Sandy and Rachel
Rachel singing a song to Sandy dissatisfied.
Sandy : This is terrible..... This is a disaster..... I'm gonna barf. ...Boring!.... No, no, no, no, no!
Rachel stops singing.
Rachel : I don't know what you want.
Sandy : Well, I know what I don't want. And it is all of this. When I gave you this part, I thought you could handle it, but clearly you can't. What this show needs is a star with a little bit more maturity.
Rachel : I know what you're trying to do. You're trying to get me to quit, so you can be the star. Well, it won't work. I'm not going anywhere.
Rachel goes to Sandy, stunned.
Sandy : .... I'll say.
SCENE 15 : Repetition Hall's - Finn, Rachel, April and Will
Finn and Rachel repeating the musical by Rachel.
Rachel : I'm sleeping with him.
Finn : So am I... (Surprised, he drops the text.) This play's weird.
Rachel : That's Mr. Ryerson's favorite line. You're a really good actor, Finn. Maybe you should consider joining the musical.
Finn : I'm pretty devoted to Glee. I don't think I could just walk away from it. I know how hard it was for you. But I could justify doing both if you came back. But we both know that's not gonna happen.
Finn approaching her.
Finn : ... Do you know what we should do?
Rachel : Elope?
Finn : What?
Rachel : Nothing.
Finn : We should go bowling. You're always so stressed out about the play. You just need to loosen up....(Trying his hand at her side at the piano.). I always go bowling whenever I'm worked up about a big game or something.
Rachel : Just us?
Finn : Yeah.
Rachel : Yeah, that....that....that would be great. I....I am really stressed out. But that's the price you pay for being a star.
Suddenly, April and Will enter.
April : Don't I know it.
Will : Hey,Rachel. April Rhodes, Rachel Berry. Hey, can you give us the room, Rachel? We need to teach April the cues for "Don't Stop Believing."
Finn : Wait, she's singing the female lead?
Rachel : Wait, she's in the glee club? She's... ancient.
April : Talent doesn't age, sweetheart.
Finn : That's Rachel's part, Mr Shue.
Will : Well, Rachel's not in the glee club anymore.
Rachel : Thanks, Finn.
Rachel went away.
Will : Rachel... We're all really excited to see the play. Make sure you save us a seat in the front row.
April moved while Rachel goes away, annoyed.
April : Me, me, me, me, me, me, me
Finn : You....you.....you....you....you...
Rachel looking through the glass unhappy.

Hey, I was wondering if I could request Quinn Fabray x (fem if you do that) Reader where they’re dating in secret and one day reader over hears someone smack talking about Quinn and reader defends her honor and gets into a fight because reader is saying like Quinn is her girl and Quinn denies it in front of the school embarrassing reader, angst with happy ending somehow please!
Quinn x Reader
Typical teenage cussing, queer slurs, angst
As you shove your books into your meager locker, you wonder why you bother staying at this hellhole of a school. Most of the teachers are crazy or lazy. Sometime both. The students are demonic bullies. And the food isn't fit for human consumption. But as your eyes travel down the hallway, you see your saving grace.
Quinn Fabray.
You two met during a class project and instantly clicked. When she suggested joining Glee Club, you didn't even hesitate. It didn't take long until you fell hard for her. Elation was too weak a word to express how you felt when she agreed to go out with you. Even the caveat of the relationship being secret didn't deter you. You were just happy to have her by your side.
So when you hear a couple of jocks talking about the blonde, you had to make sure they weren't being idiots. But of course, things couldn't go your way.
"Jeez. Fabray's so hot, dude."
"Yeah. Too bad she hangs out with those losers."
"Damn. Maybe we'll need to remind her how the elite party."
They laugh, gyrating and mimicking various acts that make you throw up. With a growl, you step up to the jocks. Fury burns in your eyes as you focus on them.
"Like Quinn will want anything to do with you two limp dicks." You crack your knuckles, hoping to intimidate. You can hold your own in a fight. Whether the idiots knew it or not, you had the skill. "Her standards are higher than that."
"What'd you say, you bitch." He looks over you. "Don't think we won't hit a girl." The jock rolls his shoulder and his friend joins him.
"It won't be a girl we'll be hitting. It'll be a dyke!"
Suddenly, fists are swinging. It's unsure who swung first. All you know was that you were making sure to dodge as many punches thrown at you as possible.
Even though you were smaller than the meatheads, you were quicker and had better control of your limbs. You know how to fight using your whole body. Elbows, knees, body checks, and headbutts. Even when you were thrown to the ground, you rolled to make sure you didn't get pinned. The lockers and walls were used to your advantage when they would try to charge at you. In the end, you stood victorious. Beaten and battered, breathing heavily, but still standing. Your wide grin threatened to make your split lip worse.
"Hah! That'll teach you to talk shit about Quinn. You don't mess with my girl!'
"What kind of sick fantasy do you have?"
You whirl around at the voice. It was Quinn. You gave her a confused look, but before you could say anything, she spoke again.
"Your girl? I'm not gay. What gives you any right to call me that?"
"Quinn, I.... They..."
She raises her hand and pins you with her trademark glare. As usual, you were at her mercy but this time, it wasn't the way you were used to. Your heart was breaking. The way she looked at you wasn't fake. She hates you right now. And you can't handle it right now. But her next words break you completely.
"I would never consider being with a dyke like you. That's a freaking joke."
You can't look at her anymore but when you turn away, you see the crowd surrounding you. They were observing the fight at first, egging them on, but now they were whispering about you. The walls start closing in on you. Your body burns with embarrassment and you feel like you can't breathe. There's nothing for you here anymore.
So you run.
Quinn doesn't allow herself to watch you run. She saw the pain in your eyes. She can only wish she can find a way to make it up to you.
-----+++++-----
The Glee Club mutters amongst themselves when Mr. Schuster walks in. It had been a week since anyone had heard or seen you at all. Quinn had tried multiple times to text, call, and even go to your house to no avail. She was worried about you.
She loved you so much. You were one of the best things to happen in her life and now she ruined it by trying to keep it a secret. The small town life wasn't suited for gay people. Sure, Blaine and Kurt were fine for the most part. Santana and Brittany made it work as well.
Now that she thought about it, she could've tried harder to make it work. Her mom just wanted her to be happy. The Glee club was super accepting. The rest of the school was scared of her at some point. It would've been okay.
"Mr. Schue," Tina called. She and Mike were two of your best friends. "Have you heard anything from Y/N? We're all worried."
The teacher sighed as he ran his hand through his hair. "Yeah, actually. Y/N won't be a part of the New Directions anymore... Or a part of McKinley." Protests erupted from everyone, Quinn in particular. Mr. Schue raised his hand to quiet his students.
"She's been transferred to Carmel. She'll be there for the rest of the school year."
Artie threw his hands up. "This is like Sunshine all over again." He pointed a finger at Quinn. "Thanks a lot, Quinn." Rachel spoke up before the blonde could even retort.
"Is she going to join Vocal Adrenaline? We can't let them take another person from us."
"I can't say," their teacher says. "But even if she does, we'll support her like the family we are."
A snort could be heard from Santana.
"Some family we are." The next part is said quietly, only for Quinn's ears. "We did nothing while her heart got broken."
-----+++++-----
It had been a couple months since you transferred to Carmel. Winter break was upon you now and you were glad to be away from school for a while. You were still hurting, but being away from McKinley and everyone associated made it a bit easier. You just weren't expecting to see a familiar figure as you walked off campus.
Quinn stood by your car, waiting. Seeing her bundled up in a scarf was almost endearing if the sight of her didn't make your heart clench. She watched you with a hopeful eye. You could see it. It didn't make you feel any better.
With no other option, you walked towards your car while dreading the coming conversation. But you weren't going to speak first. Actually, you weren't sure you were capable even if you were willing. You hit the button on your key fob and wait. Of course she was leaning on the driver side door.
The two of you stand in silence, sizing each other up. You stand frozen, unwilling to give in.
"...hi." Quinn greeted quietly. She knew the first move had to be hers even if the anxiety made it feel like she was about to explode. "So... How're you?"
You rolled your eyes. "Freezing my ass off. Move so I can go home and enjoy my vacation in peace." You knew you were being harsh, but you wanted out of this situation. You didn't want to relive the pain you felt months ago. Besides, it's not like Quinn ever actually liked you.
The blonde could only sigh. "Can we please talk?"
"I think you've said enough. Sure you wanna be seen talking to a dyke like me?"
Quinn flinched at the words. "I didn't mean any of that! You know why we had to be a secret. The fact that you just blatantly called me your girl would've ruined all of that!"
"So what!?" You didn't think your heart was capable of breaking any more than it already had. "We have, what? A year left of high school? Then we never see these small minded twats again." You stared into Quinn's eyes. Eyes you once loved so much but now they hurt. "I loved you, Quinn. I was IN LOVE with you. How you didn't know that is beyond me."
Tears fell onto your face. You couldn't hold it back anymore. The pain, sadness and frustration was too much to keep back. You had to turn away and cover your face. There was no point in letting Quinn see you cry.
"Is it too late then?"
Your body twists so you could gawk at Quinn. She was holding back her own tears.
"Too late for what?"
"... For us? For a second chance?" Her tears fell freely. She was willing to beg if she had to. She couldn't lose you. Not yet. Not this soon. Her resolve broke when she hears your scoff.
"A second chance? Are you fucking serious? After everything that happened?" You marched right up to Quinn. Her tears bolstered your own resolve. "The amount you have to do to even earn a sliver of a second chance is monumental. You shattered my heart, Fabray. That's not getting fixed anytime soon." With that, you shoved her away and entered your car. It was an unfortunate fact that you had to warm up your car first because Quinn was knocking on your window. You ignored her, but her words still eased into your brain.
"I don't care how long it takes. I'll pick up every single piece and put it back together if I have to." Her final knock made you look at her. The determination in her face made your heart stutter for the first time in months. "I... I love you, Y/N. I'll do everything in my power to make things right. I promise."
You stare at her for a moment longer before driving away. Quinn watches you until your taillights are no longer visible. She lets out a sigh and hopes that you were convinced to at least give her a chance to try. When her phone chimes, she looks at it with a smile finally gracing her lips.
Y/N: Better start pickin, Q. Don't make me regret it.
It isn't until you get home did you look at your phone for Quinn's reply. Seeing it, you shake your head with a small smile.
Q💛: I'll get you to kiss me by New Years.
Somehow you don't doubt it.

I finally found someone who shares my views 🙌. You honestly have no idea how hard it is to find someone like that in glee fandom I’m not even joking. I was wondering if you could help me I’m trying to see about protagonist centred morality and how narrative lets them get away with shit and I was wondering do you have a top 5 moments of bad things finn, schue and puck did? They are the only 3 who seems to get away with everything on the show
Okay wow, I don't know how a month went by since you sent this but here we are. Hi Anon. I'm not sure which views in particular you're referring to lol but IIRC it was the anti Finn and general anti Glee's shitty framing posts, right? Well, in any case happy to be someone people can relate to.
I'd love to hear more about whatever project it is you have going on because it's a fascinating topic. Sorry I couldn't be of help earlier but I'm hoping you'll reach out if/when you see this. Anyway, to start off the actual reply I'll just say that I'm not sure I'd lump Puck together with those two. For me, Finn and Will exist on a very unique level where they show seems wholly unaware of or unwilling to discuss their bad behaviour. Puck, while he does do yucky things and sometimes without repercussions, is overall considered to be a bully from the beginning and has themes of people expecting the worst from him and him doubling down on that. So I wouldn't say he gets away with everything. What he does get away with is pretty heinous, though.
So if we're specifically talking weird narrative framing and a disconnect between what Glee portrayed and how it treated that behaviour, we'd best start off with just that. This isn't an ordered list so rearrange into a top 5 as you see fit.
Puck gets Quinn pregnant: Even my own wording here is much more diplomatic than the actual scene deserves. I've gone into detail before and I can dig up those posts if you'd like but bottom line is that Glee views this as a consensual act between two foolish kids that has serious consequences. The narrative blames them equally, though tbh Quinn a little more because misogyny. But what Glee shows the viewer in 1x22 is an extremely dubious situation with Quinn verbally hesitating and Puck pushing more alcohol on her, not to mention the reveal that he lied about protection thus committing an act of assault in and of itself. Because this was 2010 and written by three men, they saw nothing wrong with this. To modern audiences, it's hard not to view Beth's conception as very questionable, at best.
Finn is the hero in Santana's coming out: I don't wish to dwell too much on this because frankly I've done so enough and it's self-explanatory. Also it makes my blood boil lol. It's mindboggling how they actively retcon Mash Off in IKAG and pretend Finn just really cares about her, actually. Disgusting.
Will's treatment of the kids Mercedes in Booty Camp: And really all of season 3 because he acted like his life depended on them winning Nationals Will's almost always framed as this benevolent father figure and the narrative has the nerve to blame Mercedes for deserting. His behaviour towards her was unacceptable and his double standard was glaring. And yet, we needed antagonists for ND and so the Troubletones was chosen to be in opposition. And for that to happen we needed Mercedes to leave. There are a lot of Will moments but I think the framing might be most glaring here.
Finn tells the Fabrays about the baby: All of this could just be Finn's greatest hits and I shall make him take the last two spots because as shitty as Will is, he's less obvious with most of his bs. So this is another thing I keep coming back to because I simply cannot comprehend how and why the show allowed this to be Finn's decision and his only and how it never once considered judging him for it. Regardless of the baby mess and how Quinn treated him, Finn had zero right to announce Quinn's pregnancy and the callousness with which Quinn getting kicked out of her home is treated is appalling. The show doesn't stop for a second to consider that this might not have been for the best, actually.
Finn beats up Brody: Another shitty Finn moment, another opportunity for me to wonder what the writers were smoking. This isn't one I've talked all that much about before but oh boy. How could Glee turn Finn's violent and frankly psychotic moment into something heroic? Something romantic? He beats up a guy for being a sex worker and we're supposed to find it romantic. Even though they're not together with Rachel and all Brody did was lie. Which was an issue but Glee never deals with that, no, it judges sex work wholesale and has our hero violently attack another guy. Only for Rachel to swoon at the knowledge that Finn would do that for her. Girl, get a restraining order.
So yeah, I hope that was along the lines of what you were looking for. Obviously there's a lot to be said about each and I really focused on kicking Finn while he was down (funny how people do that, huh) but Will's framing is constant throughout the series. Like I said, I disagree about Puck but he does have this one big one and some smaller instances.

Glee Musical Retrospective: Papa Don't Preach (Hairography)
youtube
Sung by: Quinn Fabray Original Artist(s): Madonna
This is the first Madonna song they do on the show. And, apparently, they do one every year until season six when they inevitably run out of Madonna songs. ;)
Story Analysis
It's not weird that Quinn would sing a song about teen pregnancy. It is weird that the show thinks this performance would somehow entice three eight year olds to shut up and watch. But this is the Glee universe we're in.
The song is fairly on the nose for Quinn's character -- and, for the first time, Quinn is singing a song that fits her actual persona instead of trying to emulate a persona she just doesn't really have. The use of Madonna is a relatively good choice to reflect on Quinn's less than innocent inner feelings and desires.
Papa, I know you're going to be upset Cause I was always your little girl But you should know by now I'm not a baby
It's an interesting use of lyrics as she's singing this post-Ballad. He father wanted her to stay a child, and did get upset when he found out that she wasn't his idyllic little girl.
The one you Warned me all about The one you said I could do without We're in an awful mess And I don't mean maybe
It's fitting that she's singing this song while Puck plays the guitar. Puck is one of those guys that women are told to stay away from, and fits the bill of this song perfectly. He's that bad boy type that does end up getting the girl pregnant.
The camera pans to Puck as these lyrics are sung, but to the point of the song (in lyrics that we never hear) the two of them do have feelings, and it wasn't just about having sex and having an unwanted pregnancy about it. Quinn and Puck share some meaningful looks just as the music reflects their situation - but it's interestingly complex. It's about the fact that they both know they have feelings for the other - but their circumstances make their love story not an easy situation.
But I made up my mind. I'm keeping my baby
And - continuing on to be right on the nose for the story - this is the point where Quinn is thinking that maybe she can have it all. Maybe her life won't be interrupted by a new child. Maybe she and Puck can have a loving and healthy relationship. Maybe they can have a nice little family -- after all -- they are getting Kendra's devil children to settle down.
While most of the songs on the show use a truncated version of the song, this one feels like it's abruptly stopped -- as if not to finish the complete thought. And, while yes, the scene does need to end, I think it's also worth noting that Quinn's inner thoughts are put on pause momentarily as she works out whether or not she really does want to try to pursue not only a relationship with Puck but also actually trying to raise her baby.
As I said above, though, while it fits Quinn's character perfectly, it's a bizarre choice to be singing to children. Maybe they just liked the pretty lady dancing. Who knows.
Technical Thoughts
One of the nice things about this one is that it utilizes Dianna Agron's lower register a little. It's not as low as she can go, but she doesn't sound like she's straining to get all of the notes, which is a nice change comparatively to her earlier solos. Madonna has a deeper and somewhat raspier voice that Agron can emulate nicely. I think it adds a layer of grit to Quinn that's always been there but not always shown.
They also allow Quinn to be teasingly flirty and a little bit sensual, when it comes to the choreography. Sure, she's dancing around a little, too, but there's a more adult layer added to this song. Quinn's not in her cheerleading uniform, and not constrained by it any longer either. Quinn's allowed to be free to be herself, for the first time in, who knows how long - and it's nice to see.
(The song is a perfect choice for Quinn, but Glee is so weird about its context sometimes... her flirtatious dancing is aimed at children, and the whole scene is weird within context.)
I kind of wonder if Mark Salling did the guitar part for the recording. Salling was accomplished on the guitar and probably could play this one no problem. I'm also not often fond of his acting choices - but I think he has some great chemistry with Agron, and the shared, layered thoughts actually play really well here.
vs. The Studio Recording: So, this is exactly the same as the show version, which means it's really short. I kind of wonder what made them decide to only do half the song. I will say - this is still early in the show, and they didn't cater to iTunes sales the way they'll do starting in the second half of season one.
vs. The Original Version: I love seeing these videos for the first time. Wow is this so 80s I can't even. The 'hunk' in this? Lol, omg. This definitely Madonna at her peak though.
The thing is - Glee finally goes far from the original arrangement, and it's actually nice. The original is a relic of the 80s, completely with synth sounds and, well, more synth sounds. The acoustic version they do on the show not only fits for Glee's attempt to add realism, but makes it a more contemporary sounding song.
Also, as usual, a lot of Quinn's choreography is inspired by the dancing around Madonna does in the video. Which I always find an intentional nice touch.

Note
For Quick: 10 15 4 25 5
10. Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant?
Puck always remembers Quinn's orders so well. He knows her eating patterns so well because Quinn will be like "No, no I'm not hungry" and she'll order a salad then beg him for some of his fries a few minutes later. He knows that she'll always choose some health food that he finds disgusting and he'll tease her about it meanwhile Quinn teases him about how greasy and disgusting his favourite foods are but it's all banter between them. Quinn is secretly flattered at how well he can guess what she's going to order at any time they're out together.
15. Who wakes up first?
Quinn, without a doubt. Puck would always struggle to wake up early meanwhile Quinn wakes up super early everyday for work (I imagine she works as a college professor and writes books) with an alarm set. It annoys her how he never wakes up on time for anything.
4. Favorite non-sexual activity?
I'm almost tempted to say roasting other people lol. These two would just sit around drinking and sharing gossip/dragging everyone who annoys them and they both find it hilarious even though Quinn will try to act ladylike about it. Sometimes Judy Fabray even joins in, which surprises Puck because she seems so proper. Other than that, surprisingly one of their favourite things is going to baseball games together.
Quinn pretends she hates it but it's one of Puck's favourite activities and he's like "C'mon, Sweetheart you know you'll love it" so he actually gets Quinn to go with him. He also loves playing card games with her and despite it seemingly being so unlike them, they like do actually enjoy romantic walks on the beach. One of Puck's favourite things to do is get Quinn to totally unwind and have a few drinks and dance with him when they're alone together. He loves the more carefree side to her that so rarely shows.
25. Who needs more assurance?
Puck. He has a lot of insecurities even though he gets more confident as he gets older but it's actually Quinn who has to comfort him and reassure him a lot, especially when her extended family are disapproving of him because of the class differences between them. He's also insecure about his ability to be a good father, so that's something he struggles with after they have more children.
5. Who is most likely to carry the other?
Puck carries her bridal style or on his back sometimes and she pretends to hate it. Quinn attempting to carry Puck just wouldn't work out well.

What Did I Agree To?
Quinn Fabray x Reader

This had to be a dream. In what world would I be so lucky. Quinn Fabray is talking to me. Do I know what she's saying ? No, I'm too busy freaking the fuck out.
OH MY GOD SHE'S TOUCHING MY ARM. Oh shit she's looking me. What am I supposed to say?
I just nodded and she smiled back at me," Thanks Y/n see you at glee club tryouts."
Did she just say? " Y/n I heard you were trying out for glee club and while I'm thrilled we have enough members for regionals I don't know how you'll mesh with the others."
Rachel had basically cornered me and I have no idea what to do," I uh-"
" So tell me what do you think about Santana, Brittany, Mercedes, Tina, Kurt,..."
" Rachel I'm not trying out for glee and as for those people I think they're greatly talented," I answered and she frowned immediately.
" Well that's what you just told Quinn," oh shit what have I gotten myself into.
" I didn't know that's what she was saying. I wasn't paying attention," Rachel wore a smirk on her face when I finished speaking.
" You mean you were distracted by her because you like her," your eyes widened and you put your hands over her mouth.
" Will you shut up," I removed my hands and she smiled. " If you don't want me to tell her then I'll see you at glee club after school," she flipped her hair in my face and strutted off.
What have I gotten myself into.
AFTER SCHOOL
" New Directions one of our own has done the impossible and recruited a new member. Regionals is back on," they all cheered Mr.Schue," We have Quinn to thank for our new, New Direction Y/n Y/ln."
I awkwardly wave at the glee group. Half of them look friendly and the other half look skeptical. Finn's the one to say what's on everyone's mind," It's cool that Quinn got us a new member but can she even sing."
Now all the members were looking at me skeptically. This was my cue to get up in front of everyone and do a song.
They all watched me like a hawk as I made my way to the center of the classroom.
My voice hardly matched my appearance which was common in the glee club. I had never really sung in a group that big and as soon as I finished they clapped for me.
" That was beautiful Lord Tubbington would have cried tears of happiness," Brittany spoke.
I thanked her and that was the end of my spotlight in the glee classroom. The rest of the time was devoted to regionals; we had to work out a set list. The next time we meet we are supposed to vote on solos.
As I tried to exit the class Quinn had stopped me. She waited until everyone else was out of the classroom to actually speak," When I asked you to join glee club I knew could sing but that was beautiful."
I blushed because when she said beautiful her eyes met yours," I- well- thank you. If I'm being completely honest I kind of didn't want to be in glee club."
The cheerleader frowned," Why not?" I let out a heavy sigh my eyes now trained on the floor," I already get bullied enough for being gay and adding glee to that list is not going to help with that."
Quinn grabbed my hand," If you want to leave the club I understand but I'm curious. If this is how you felt why'd you agree when I asked you?"
I was freaking out at this point. Her hand was in my hand and she didn't flip out when you told her you were gay. If the talking hadn't been so intimate I probably wouldn't have heard her question.
" Well part of the answer is in the question. You asked me and how am I supposed to say no to the Quinn Fabray. And secondly I may not have been listening to what you were saying.."
Quinn let out a laugh," Those two things are quite contradictory don't you think?"
I shook my head,"Absolutely not have you seen yourself ? You're beautiful and it can be distracting sometimes."
It was when I said this the gravity of my situation hit me. Here I was in a vacant classroom sitting in a chair next to Quinn Fabray who was still holding my hand.
That's when my face turned as pink as raw salmon. Quinn smirked while she looked at me. Part of me loved the look in her eyes and part of me was scared.
" It's cute how you act like you're not just as beautiful," she said and now I was full on red. She just called me beautiful. Holy shit who drugged my cafeteria milk because this can not be happening.
" I...well thank you," My eyes are on the floor until I hear her laugh at me.
" You're so cute. You know that Y/n?" Now the small space between us was closed. Her forehead rested on mine and my eyes closed at the contact.
None of this makes sense. Why is she doing this with me? It has to be a prank, all of this has to be some fucked up prank.
I pull away from her before bolting out of my seat. I start pacing the empty classroom with a million thoughts buzzing through my head.
I begin to mutter under my breath," She's a cheerleader, beautiful body, beautiful voice, popular, this makes no sense."
Quinn gets out of her chair and calmly places her hands on my shoulder.
" I don't get it Quinn. Did Rachel tell you I liked you and now you're doing some sick prank? There's no way someone like you is interested in someone like me."
Her hands moved from my shoulders to my face and I leaned in out of instinct alone.
" Baby I like you. I'm interested in you, this is not a joke or a prank," her thumb caressed my cheek when she spoke.
" I've never even seen you with a girl Quinn," I let out a sigh but made no move to pull away.
" I know but that's because you're the only girl I can see myself with. I've never felt this way toward anyone let alone a girl. Give me a chance Y/n please."
I had to give this a chance. I had to give her a chance even if I knew that this would almost certainly bite me in the ass.
I quickly leaned in and pecked her lips. It had to be less than a second. I tried to pull away but Quinn wouldn't let me. She held me in place while staring at my lips.
"Let's try that again," she gently placed her lips on mine. The way she was kissing me actually made me freeze. Her kiss was so delicate and tender.
When she felt that I wasn't kissing back she pulled away. I didn't want her to pull away so I kissed her again. Much like the way she had kissed me it was soft. It was perfect, she was kissing me and I was kissing her. Nothing had ever felt this good in my entire life.
We pulled away at the same time. When I opened my eyes she was already smiling at me.
She grabbed my hand," Let's go, I'm taking you to Breadsticks."
" Right now?"
" There's never going to be as good a time as now."
Quinn and I went on our first official date at Breadsticks that day. It was magical, I mean every moment I spent with Quinn since that day was magical. I never thought I could end up with someone like her and I'm grateful that even after high school she never let me go.
