it's always wild to me when people are like "it's so frustrating when you like a villainous character and no one else will dig into their motivations, they just hate them." That is not the case. I assure you that in the case of a well-written villain, I have thought considerably about their motivations, their pain, and their trauma; and I think they are a deeply compelling and central part of a larger story. And I believe that in the service of that larger story, they should get launched into the fucking sun.
