oh godd im gonna explode .. shen wei explaining why he wears this mask and saying its bc he's scared when he fights but when he wears the mask it hides his expressons and nobody can see him being scared ... present day shen wei doing that figuratively in how he presents himself ... no more mask but via distancing himself from people still preventing them from seeing how he feels
