Ok guys can I be honest with you. I think. Pilot and pre-pilot Angel were peak 😔 I'M SORRY I'M BREAKING MY SILENCE

Like whaaat... WHAAAT.... I'm sorry he served here he had the BEST design idc idc you can't change my mind. These were NOT bad designs. I've got a slight preference to his oldest design but even then the pilot design was great to me.

THIS however...

OooOOOH MY GODDDDD THEY NEUTERED HIM!!?! NO tits, three measly ugly stripes on an uglier coat, LONG GLOVES THAT ARE MISMATCHED??? ONE OF THEM HAS THESE WEIRD... WHITE FLAPS?? WHO— WHAT. WHY. AND THEY GO OVER HIS LONG SLEEVES 😭😭😭

I'm sorry but Angel will always be the most egregious case of character assassination in this show, design and character wise. He sucks now and I used to love him.

Okay enough crying let's get serious.

So yeah show Angel sucks. Removing his chunky gloves removed a lot of the fun shape in his silhouette so now he's just a gangly twink. Very little visual interest. Also hate hate hate how his new mismatched gloves are pulled over his long sleeve coat. So dumb. Hate it.

Also explain to me how he's gradually gotten less tits but has simultaneously become more femboy-ified..... So many people immediately mistake him for a girl.......

They also mistake him for. Literally anything but a spider. Once again Viv can't code or theme characters for shit. I also don't like how his face changed... I can't describe it but It's so much less appealing and charming. Something in the eyes and his little cheek bump. Idk. Really hate show Angel props to the animators for making him watchable with his bold animation ts was real nice

Okay onto my Angel! He's now a goldenrod crab spider now! Thank you @/cryptablog for this idea!! (Not tagging them bc they hate the hellaverse with a burning passion lol 💀) They can be white with pinkish markings like our og Angel but most of them are tinted yellow or completely yellow!

I decided to make him most similar to that mid ground mix of yellow and white with pink-er markings. 1 because I kept lust pink and I feel like that'd be a prominent sin of his (+ purple is in here a lot bc I feel like he'd also be pride aligned! Purple is now the pride color :3) and 2 because the yellow tone in his fur is kinda meant to connect him to Husk in a way... Cuz that's kinda his main color... Idk maybe I'm onto nothing with that one BUT his primary color is purple and Husk's primary color is yellow(ish)! Complimentary boyfriend's!!! Are you seeing my vision!!!!! (Also on a lesser note his colors look more similar to my fav version of Angel aka his design from the pre-pilot ref sheet I showed)

Another idea you can thank Cryptamen for is him being partially translucent in places just like real goldenrods!!!! The idea behind that was because he was in the mafia in life and he had to be really stealthy at times so now in certain environments he's harder to see... Maybe he can even turn fully invisible for a bit... There's also possible character reasons to consider tying in there as well... Ough very cool idea 10/10

Gave him 4 legs and 4 arms + the big abdomen to really make him scream spider bc yes spider boys can be hot and no Viv was not willing to CAPITALIZE on that 😒 Also lengthened his fangs... Also moved his eyes to his forehead to make them more prominent and hopefullyyyy seem more like eyes. Idk. And now he's got pointy little pedipalps as well!!!

Gave him his boobs back bc he deserves them and just generally gave his body more shape (though the second set of legs definitely helps lol). Slightly de-twinked... But not by much...

Once again looked up some common hairstyles at the time and people loooved their hairspray and curls, or swoops, or waves— they were gettin funky with it. Hard to emulate that on his nonhuman skull so I took some artistic liberties applying ideas from common styles onto him.

Didn't do much research at awl for his clothes... I mean... He's not wearing much to begin with... I kept the long gloves bc I thought they had potential to look cute and I have him rolled cuffs on short sleeves. Wanted to keep the style simple but otherwise I would've drawn button clasps keeping them in place. No notes on the thigh high heels so I kept them. Everything else is just kindaaaa whateverrrr EXCEPT THE NECKLACE. Though it was hella funny and fitting

Varmibros AU explained.!

(aka the au where Chris Varmitech is a detective whos hired by Martin to solve the case of his missing brother)

The whole thing begins with the Varmitech family, who have been villains for generations and generations. The family is cultishly obsessed with villainy and anyone who doesnt follow the tradition is pushed out of the family, who will later seek revenge on the outcast, and this is how the kidnapping of Chris happened. Generations ago the Kratt family were also Varmitechs, until someone broke out of the cycle, broke contact with the family, changed their name and lived a normal life which of course angered the Varmitechs to no end. The responsibilty of taking revenge on the Kratts fell on Zachs mom, Ivette Varmitech, who decided to take the family's youngest son and raise him as their own to set their bloodline back on the track of villiany.

(i am honestly not a huge fan of this part of the plot idk the kratts and varmitechs being related is so weird but I dont really have a better reason for why theyd take Chris so! This remains for now)

From the Kratts point of view Chris just goes missing mysteriously and no search party or investigator can turn him up. His case goes cold too fast and it really strains their small family. Martin, who was really close with his little brother is forced to grow up alone, being left with the lingering feeling of emptiness (wow thats really deep. !!)

Meanwhile Chris is hidden from public eye until around his teen years, with the excuse of his unstable mental state (which is actually kinda true cause like. Taking a 3 year from his family is traumatic even if you brainwash him into thinking those memories arent real) and at around the age of 17 he starts to join Zach on smaller villain missions but these are just some easier robberies. Hes actually fairly good at stealing and being stealthy but when Zach invented some more serious stuff and began using animals to power his inventions it disgusted him, and he grew even more distant with Zach, and also started putting less effort into anything he had to do as a villain, especially after he had to take a more aggressive role, fighting off and distracting anyone who tries to stop Zach (this is when he starts using the Zach-bot looking costume that hides his identity. The vest also gives him 2 robotic arms) and this is how he gets to know the tortuga crew, who are extremely similar to their canon versions, with the absence of Chris of course. (The crew knows Zach has a brother but dont know that hes behind the mask of his right hand-man who they nicknamed the crawler)

Anyways, unlike Zach, Chris' main focus is not the villain business. He became a detective, as this is like the only thing his parents let him do that he actually loves. But one day, he gets a strange call. Martin Kratt, one of his brother's biggest enemies, a man that he himself had to face many times in his villain disguise, wants Chris to take on the case of his missing brother. Hes immediately suspicious, thinking its just a coverup and Martin actually wants to get some information about Zach or something, but after meeting up with Martin he realises hes very serious about wanting to hire him to do the investigation. He looks at the unsolved case of Chris Kratt, a 3 year old who went missing without barely any trace almost 20 years ago, and despite knowing that he probably wont be able to turn up anything new for Martin, whos convinced that against all odds his brother is still alive, Chris decides to take the case.

Martin is quick to help Chris in the investigation, and he is surprised to discover that the detective is the opposite of Zach in a lot of ways. Unlike his brother, Chris seems to love animals and has a respectable knowledge about them, and just like Martin, he also has his experience with complicated familial relationships, and the two of them grow close while digging themselves deep into the investigation. (And yeah maybe Chris reminds him of his brother, maybe he just wants to protect Chris from his dubious brother and parents, or maybe he feels connected to him in a way he cant name)

Meanwhile Chris faces the internal struggle of wanting to stay friends with Martin, but also knowing that hes secretly the villain who Martin has to fight every now and then, and he feels extremely guilty for decieving him, but hes too scared to tell him because of his major abandonment issues, but he also cant stop being a villain due to the pressure his family puts on him. So now he has to miraculously solve the case of Martins brother, while he actively tries to keep his identity a secret, and tries to avoid Zach, whos always happy to remind him that no matter how morally superior Chris feels hes still lying to the tortuga crew and that he better stop this little game of his before their parents find out, or before the crew discover his identity...

You prop your chin up on your knuckles, elbows on your knees, smug, because despite the irritation in his voice you can tell by his face that the sight of the oversized sleeves swallowing up your hands has him smitten.

With the most obnoxious smirk you can manage, you issue the challenge. “Come take it off me yourself.”

He sets his jaw, eyes narrowing dangerously. “You’re sure want to play this game?”

As an answer, you just lean back and undo another button— the shirt now gaping so wide it’s just short of exposing a nipple— and stick the tip of your tongue out. His reaction is priceless, body stiffening as his expression flits between aroused and annoyed too many times to count, until it settles on… neither. He looks at you blankly, and just when you’re wondering whether you’ve finally broken him, he lunges for you. You both fall backwards into your tent as you collide, landing in an awkward heap among the cushions. His initiative is better than yours though, and before you can even think what your next move will be, he has you pinned beneath him by the wrists. Both of your breaths mix, along with your gazes, heated. Then, you brace one foot on his thigh and lock your arms around his shoulder, throwing him off effortlessly- but he’s prepared for that, and immediately breaks into a roll to escape a counter attack, pushing himself up into a crouch. You mimic his stance (not like there’s room to stand in the tent anyway), and eye him warily. His tail swishes from side to side, a playful, but confident smile on his face.

“The shirt, Tav.”

But this is about more than the shirt now. This is about pride.

You lift your chin in defiance. “I’m starting to get attached to it, actually. Think I’ll keep it.”

He growls. “That wasn’t a request.”

“And that wasn’t a surrender.”

“Torm’s tears, you’re so…!—“ He grinds his teeth— “stubborn…!”

You just wink at him. “I am. And that’s why you love me.”

He huffs, but you see the lines of his face soften. Unfortunately though, although he calls you stubborn he’s much the same, and this fight is far from over. He stalks over to you, but before he can get close enough for whatever he has planned, you rush to tackle him at the waist. That proves to be a mistake. You might be agile and have a solid technique, but he has all of that and a set of infuriatingly strong muscles. So, you find yourself underneath him. Again. It’s enough to make your blood boil, irritating you as much as it is very rapidly turning you on— but when his teeth graze against your neck, your body quickly decides to favour the latter. A sigh falls from your lips as he kisses along the sensitive skin, followed by a shiver as he drags his tongue over your pulse, torturously slowly. His body feels so pleasantly firm against yours, and you’re suddenly desperate to have more of him, arching your hips up into his with what you’ll deny is a quiet whine. The adrenaline from the fight transforms into something else entirely, your head spinning with want as he encourages you, rocking against you.

Then, you feel it. Fingers creeping between you two, presumably trying to be stealthy, and moving to undo the rest of the shirt buttons.

Bastard!

Now he’s not expecting your resistance you’re more easily able to reverse your positions, pinning him in place with your thighs, doing your best to ignore the longing ache between them.

“You thought I wouldn’t notice you trying to steal it? Really?”

“Steal!” Zevlor scoffs, “I’m just taking back what is mine.”

“By seducing me.” You lean in closer, smiling sweetly. “What an underhanded technique for such an honourable soldier.”

He scowls at you. “If I remember correctly- and I most certainly do- you flashing me is the whole reason we’re in this mess.”

“Ahh, so it did get you hot and bothered. That’s good to know.”

“I’m only a man, Tav.” He grumbles. “I can hardly be blamed for it.”

“No.” Your smile widens, “but you can be for your actions. Tackling me into the tent?” You tsk. “Really, Zev. I took you for a gentleman.”

His lips twitch up at the corner, eyes hooded as he watches you. “You seemed to enjoy it well enough.”

Your mouths are only a hairs width apart now, and you can feel each heavy breath he takes as if it were your own. Just for a moment you forget yourself, and swallow thickly. He spots the bob of your throat and chuckles, hand sliding up the back of your neck and threading into your hair.

“One last chance,” he murmurs against your ear. “Return what you stole, and I’ll go easy on you. If not…”

He knows he doesn’t even need to finish the thought; your imagination will do the rest.

“You’re expecting me to beg for your mercy, rider?” He shudders as your lips brush, and your tongue darts out to kiss his lower lip. “Dream on.”

You groan lowly as his hands grab onto your hips, claws sinking in just shy of drawing blood.

“Mrag, your insolence knows no bounds.” A dark laugh tickles your cheek. “Very well. But don’t blame me if come tomorrow morning you regret it.”

Reading SVSSS: Chapter 13

Last night I was watching critical role and making flower crowns for the ren faire today and I totally lost track of time. But I did read earlier and I have the notes!

Well. Shen Qingqiu arrives and the mountain is already under siege- solid start. p283

This is less a reflection on this current chapter and more a thought about the longevity of this character; but I feel like Luo Binghe is going to inevitably perish. The reckless abandon in which he approaches anything Shizun adjacent is going to end this man. Like in this chapter- fully just tells everyone he's of demonic heritage- 0 fucks, no care for his own life now or in the future. Sure, he's powerful as hell but like eventually he has to sleep. p284

Oh gosh. Both Yue Qingyuan and Liu Qingge are in a bad way AND they are in the same room as Luo Binghe. p285

Okay but to be fair, when it comes to the body of Shen Qingqiu I am on the side of the sect here. Like bare minimum even if this man supposedly committed all the crimes (he didnt and they do know this) he still deserves to have proper death rites. Luo Binghe did do some unhinged things. pp 286-287

RIP Shang Qinghua LOL everyone knows you are an opportunist with nary a loyal bone in your body. Congrats on your entire sect knowing now p288

I am annoyed at Liu Qingge and I think, maybe, unjustifiably. I feel like his character is complicated and eventually I want to read a character study or two about him for more insight. What prompted this is: he is both acknowledging that SQQ is doing something utterly selfless for the sect but also pissed that he's doing it at all. Like- is it him feeling inadequate? Or is it how he feels about SQQ or the sect? idk- I will continue to think about him. p297

You probably have a lot on your plate, but I've had this brain blurb for a while and I can't get them out of my head without typing it out 😅

Because Dangly Earrings are the best, imagine Desmond having a pair that jingles when he turns his head quickly, and ppl are like "oh that's a weakness I can //hear//" when sparring with him, but because he's That Guy he deliberately makes them chime when he moves

Ofc this means that he's going to have to be quick as a snake if he wants to win spars and or real fights when his opponent looks to the loudest sound and he attacks from behind, or at blind spots

How about we make it part of his training?

In stories where a character is learning how to steal, they usually have to steal from a mannequin with bells all around it (like that one scene from Criminal Minds).

So, how about, the dangly earrings were something his mother gave him for him to practice on his stealth and it looked something like this:

Perhaps, when he was young, his mother found him crying in his room after training because Bill had ‘scolded’ him for being unable to be as stealthy as he wanted Desmond to be and Desmond was trying, he truly was, but Bill’s expectation was simply too high.

So his mother gave him one of her earrings that makes a soft chiming sound whenever the chain hits the half-circle part of the earring. The idea was that she had been given the earrings when she was first starting and she thought it might help Desmond.

And Desmond keeps on wearing them because it reminded him of the warmth of his mother’s hands as she pierced his ears and the soft voice she used during that time.

So, in this scenario, the earrings do make a sound but Desmond has enough practice (and, really, it’s more of a habit nowadays) for him to simply move in a way that the earrings won’t make a sound.

When they do make a sound, it’s because Desmond deliberately makes sure it does.

In Bad Weather, it was because that was the normal thing to do.

When he was under Abstergo and, later on, with the Assassins, making the earrings chime was to preserve the idea that he wasn’t really that good. (and maybe hearing Lucy say “maybe once you’ve bleed enough of Ezio’s skills, you’ll be able to move without making any noise” makes him smile).

So when he started to do field missions… everyone is surprised when they could not hear Desmond’s earrings at all.

But William wasn’t.

Because he knew that Desmond perfected it back when he had been just a child.

Sidenote: I like the idea that Desmond only wears one earring. Idk why though XD

Ghostface: The Bitch

He is the Entity's golden and problem child and gets the most privileges than the others. Being on friendly terms with him tends to reward you with similar luxuries. The Entity also speaks to him the most, although it's mostly just him having a one sided convo with himself until the Entity replies.

Before the Game showed up, he was offered his own cabin on the outskirts of the survivor camps. It's still there and is mainly used as his stalking hq.

He's quicker than most to catch up on modern slang. Half the time he hates it and half the time he finds it amusing to confuse the other killers with it.

"I'm a murderer, not a monster!" - whenever he's accused of any crime that isn't a murder, even if it's as small as stealing.

If put in the same area as Freddy Kruger, it's on sight. He hates the burnt man with a passion.

I don't think he has a canon age, I couldn't find one, but I'd say he's around 21-22. He only visited a handful of towns and lays low between each one, and assuming he killed his father at 16-17, I think 21-22 is a good estimate.

He has conflicted feelings about his father. He both loves and loathes him.

Narcissistic? Mayhaps. ADHD? 100%.

The type of pet name he gives you is determined by how he feels about you, regardless of gender. Princess is mainly applied to whiny and bitchy people. Babygirl is used sarcastically or affectionately depending on the scenario. Dollface or doll is saved for those that has peaked his interest or people he deeply cares about. Then you have your usual; cunt, bitch, mother fucker, asshole, dipshit. Sweetheart and toots are reserved for Amanda.

ROTB Mirage and G1 Mirage's Invisibility: Light Refraction and Illusions

I think that since ROTB Mirage's illusions are partially created via light manipulation, he should still be able to turn invisible like G1!Mirage could!

the University of Southern California has a write-up in their School of Engineering newsletter which mentions the use of metamaterials to utilise light refraction as a way to make objects effectively invisible (and provides a decent summary of related information, too)

since ROTB Mirage utilises light manipulation to help create his doppelgängers/duplicates, we can assume that he could also use this technique to produce some degree of invisibility.

perhaps it would have limitations, but since we know his illusions are generally extremely convincing, it's not too much of a stretch to assume that he should be able to warp light around himself to create a similar kind of light refraction invisibility effect.

we don't see him use it in the film, probably because this would cause problems with the whole "having to hide from humans" thing-- which would be a lot easier if he just turned invisible lol, which makes me think that his invisibility may not be 100% reliable in some way (thus making having to hide from humans more of a persistent issue than it would be otherwise)

perhaps it's harder to maintain while moving around, or it might take more concentration for him, or something. we don't know, since it's not an ability ROTB Mirage has used on screen yet.

but still, it's fun to think about! :)

Glad you like the silly guy! He has a thing going on and a tiny sprinkle of backstory shenanigans. I RP with him occasionally and he has a bit of a role in one of my (hibernating) ask blogs, but all in all he isn't my main guy or anything, I don't think so.

The golden/amber eyes were a design choice not made by me, since I got the lad in a Toyhou.se forum game (some design exchange thread). The designs for Sirius and Silas were gifted/traded to me! :D (So there aren't any lore implications or anything for his eyes, not that I can think of. His eyes are just a little extra piercing when he stares. lmao)

It is noted though that there are metal pieces (iron) imbedded in their foreheads. I like to think it's for them to distinguish who's from their community/tribe and who's not. Maybe for a little blessing/damage boost too, although I am unsteady on that point. I like to think the tribe he's part of isn't as magic savvy as others to make full use of such things as enchantments or soul shenanigans.

I don't think I can talk as much about him or speak confidently of his upbringing, since I am not really that deep in the illager sauce as some others. Pff- (I try my best.)

His story, the way I haphazardly put it together, is that his old tribe got demolished one way or another that separated him from the community. Something along the line of heroes launching an attack on their illager outposts, before concentrating on the mansion. Chaos and all. Whether it be killing the community off or by scattering them enough they couldn't easily find one another again, Sirius ends up without his tribe and perhaps a little lost too.

(Still not sure what part he had in the battle, tbh. He could've avoided the main conflict while he was on patrol, but got ambushed when they headed to the mansion to help, and ended up chasing off the attackers with Silas just to lose sight of his crew. He could've been in the midst of the battle and fled when things got dire. Idk honestly. He is a warrior and all, but he wouldn't be too eager to meet death head on when odds are so much against him/the whole tribe. Glory in war, but he ain't stupid. Maybe things just got a smidge too wild that even he got spooked. Heroes and their artifacts. You wouldn't run into a death laser if you could help it.)

A lone illager is a dead illager, it's believed, so it's lucky enough he has his trusty ravager steed Silas by his side once they escaped- Although while she may be a great help traversing large spans of distance, she costs a ton of resources. You can't convince me ravagers can live off of grass alone, even if they kinda look bovine. Food management becomes a problem.

Doing the illager thing as usual and pillaging villages for resources was easy enough for a while, considering Sirius doesn't need to wrangle any iron golems on his own. But even just a "swift pillage" for a bit of food and things sets alarms off and heroes are much more of a danger if you have no allies and they start actively hunting you down. It isn't worth the attention, especially since a ravager isn't exactly inconspicuous or particularily stealthy in avoiding keen eyes.

Sirius is a bit of a thinker compared to some other illagers (or what I know of, anyway? I don't think pillagers are that wise. A little silly. Orange-cat levels of braincells perhaps, but with more lethal weapon wielding.) He will ponder over things and actually give it a moment before doing something. Still- he thinks deep but not very far. (lol) Coming up with a plan, thinking for it for a moment but still ending up with throwing a door at someone or bashing his head against a wall. Either way, he can be talked with and likes to stay suspicious.

For a while he even attempted to trade with villagers, but he doesn't particularily look innocent and harmless, so if they don't ring the alarm anyway they just drive their prices up to make him leave sooner, which gnaws at his patience. Even if he attempts to be chill, villagers make his blood boil. He still thinks poorly of them. At least he never saw any of that "kind" and "hospitable" nature towards him when dealing with villagers.

I am still just vague with how long he's been out and about. Couldn't be terribly long if he didn't get in touch with other tribes, or still long enough he adapted to being a bit of a lone wolf with all it's challenges. Eh, idk.

With emeralds running low, a hungy ravager (haha, or ravenous ravager) by his side and no post or mansion to return to, he kinda just looked for jobs that didn't mind recruiting a lone Illager.

I had him get in touch with a group of mob hunters. Hunting, fighting and capturing mobs of all sort for materials, meat, keeping as pets and other stuff by contract. I suppose, however you see it, like poachers. Sirius would be familiar enough with fighting and taking hostages maybe, so the basics shouldn't be too difficult from a pillager standpoint.

Currently he got a task to prove himself before he gets fully recruited, so I guess he's still jobless as before. He's still out there tryna get a grasps at the thing. As a pillager it's easy enough to kill/capture villagers, the people you fight always stay in one spot anyway. If it's wildlife ya gotta pursue through foliage or across biomes it's a little tougher. Pf-

Reckoning Cinematic - Cluttered Theories and Thoughts

Obviously this contains spoilers for the Reckoning Cinematic, so be warned!

As a long time Omen and Cypher fan (where are the Cyphmen people at?) I was absolutely screaming whilst watching this cinematic. And as a big lore enjoyer, I have so many questions and theories.

First of all Viper. I loved to see the fragments of what happened to Omen before he become the wraith we know and love. And to be honest it's more of a drama than I imagined it to be. A widely accepted theory is that Viper was in love with or Omen and Viper were in some sort of relationship before it all happened. Even though we see Omen trying to murder Viper in the cinematic, this still can be true, or atleast for Viper.

In the cinematic we see that Omen is trapped in come sort of tube and a question I have is, why would she go through with trapping and ripping him into pieces unless there is something more? Killing would be so much easier, especially in the long run... I'm hoping we will get atleast some snippets of their conversation in the future.

So I have two theories for this. The first theory is based on some sort of platonic relationship between them/a one-sided crush. In the cinematic we see Omen wearing a hasmic suit (?). Why would he wear that to the assassination if he's nicknamed Ghost and probably incredibly stealthy? Maybe because he infiltrated Kingdom and won the trust of Sabrine to get close to her? Because I can't imagine why it would have such an impact on her (and eventually becoming Viper, with her dark comments and so) and remaining friends with Omen even after his assassination attempt, unless there is something else behind it. It would explain why she didn't kill him but did some sort of "hard reset" on Omen, but from the impression I get going drastically wrong (referencing to the voiceline from Viper to Sage: "Sage, you're the only one who can keep us alive. Don't fail us now like you failed me then." but the other ("Never, ever assume you can help me. You can't help me, you can't help them!") doesn't really aline with my theory because who is them?) and asking Sage to revive him making Omen who he is today. That brings me to the question, how does Viper know Sage?

The second theory is less relationship based. Basically Sabine made an expert out of Omen, ripping him appart thousands of times. This could already be the tripping point for Sabrine to become Viper, because she basically torturing a man and ending in something worse that death. Maybe calling him old friend is more sarcastic, but I don't think so, because another voiceline ("Joh- I mean, Omen. Keep yourself together, you're still needed.") suggests she does care about Omen, even before he became a wraith. So I think this is less plausible than my first theory.

Also why has Iso done a switcheroo on his former employer? I don't think Valorant would pay him more, maybe for the great ✨working atmosphere✨? Idk. I do like his supportiveness towards Omen. Maybe Iso also has an negative opinion towards them/experience with their ways of maintaining control?

So yea in conclusion, I thought the cinematic was very cool :)

Cuz like Daun has to be the one of the most versatile amongst the BoEls when we are introduced to his basic abilities during season 1 like not only does he have trapping and defense capabilities he also has the ability to inflict AOE (or is there another term for inflicting poison idk) like his stunning shurikens and the itching dagger (and now he also has attack abilities as Duri!)

Now if Cahaya got his hands on that imagine the absolute chaos he could inflict (if Daun’s powers extends to fungis he’d be absolutely rigged as hell)

Does Ole know how to fight? He looks like someone physically trained in the sense of combat, the jump in the gas station scene is very well choreographed (congratulations to Sam for the performance, even considering his height) - I'm a jiu-jitsu fighter and a ballerina, he did a jump very acrobatic in that scene, and I also imagine that he wasn't the type of hitman who kills you with a sniper, but the type who, if necessary, will go into brute force combat.

There's also the scene of him rescuing Dot from the well, Munch literally arrived with everything at Roy's henchman, unarmed and with only a knife (considering he had the knife that blinded Gator), I wanted to see the combat scenes with him, like we saw Malvo, Numbers, Wrench and so on. He seems very well trained to me.

(he seems to follow more of a stealthy style of combat)

yes I do believe munch knew how to fight, though not formally. again, this is a situation where time is on his side; his own personal form of self defense that he's used for so long it almost resembles a discipline of martial arts were it not for how bestial & instinctive it is. at least with martial arts you can tell there was a before and after while the skills were honed, but munch has always needed to lash back at predators. its likeness to formal combat comes with his eventual incorporation of firearms combined with the pseudo-psychic knowledge he has of human behavior.

munch seems to prefer firearms as a last resort, though & doesn't appear to like relying on them. idk he seemed exasperated when he had to pull out the assault rifle in ep1, & when defending himself against gator in ep2, the scene clearly reads that he is the weapon, and not the pistol. age has not withered him but made him unnaturally strong and fast. thats more my headcanon since its feasible for a grown man to snap another grown man's wrist but learning of munch's supernatural origins adds that different flavor to his physical prowess.

im of the mind that munch's path to becoming a hitman was a complicated one rather than something he just picked up to survive. "a man is paid to soldier" but then he lays down his arms to go live with a community that welcomes him, until "the cannon & the musket" pull him back into solitude. i think thats when he starts using firearms as an extension of himself, to seek revenge. he probably had his own formal hunting skills, sure, but now that the significance behind those skills has been ripped from him, he wants to feed that cruelty back. bows & arrows become guns, and when he cant pick off his enemies from afar, he uses his hands and teeth. it might also be a form of punishment, like attaching a gangrenous limb to a stump. it provides you with temporary reach at the cost of poisoning you.

I thought it was interesting that he knew he was going to be ambushed the second he saw those men through the bushes & yet still followed gator to the shed (?) instead of incapacitating him before they turned the corner. I think he wanted to humiliate him, and, in turn, roy, by proving he's just as useless being supported by others as he is alone. kinda pretentious here so bear with me, but I also thought it was great that munch subdued gator by yanking his groin. a very good blink-and-you'll-miss-it instance of munch using the tillmans' masculinity against them.

the whole thing with dot's rescue will always be fascinating to me no matter what bc of all the unspoken layers leading up to it. munch went to the ranch with the intent of hurting gator, but somewhere along the way he sensed dot's presence, like he could smell her fear, and he followed it. from the way that one henchman was pulled, we can infer munch snuck up from behind, maybe from low ground, which would explain why the others didn't readily see him from their peripherals. that combined with his ferocity threw them off guard just enough that he could disarm them. instead of approaching them as another henchman, which he temporarily was, he rips them apart. instead of leaving dot to use the ladder, he checks up on her, remarks about the unfairness of her situation, and extends a hand. there is a clear thought process here, not entirely governed by animal instincts. he does sense the caged animal in dot, but the residual human in him desires contact and reassurance and the need to help, especially someone who's so like him that it haunts him. I've waxed on about it before but its so "stray animal learns to respect the human that feeds it" except he & dot weren't on that level yet. it was just a spiritual connection, one that was unequivocally necessary to act on. humans are social animals, but animals all the same, & that dormant part of his brain that yearned for love all those centuries was poked at, ironically, after being beaten in battle by this woman who was at her most animalistic. a prey animal turned predator.

Day 3. Silence

So today's silly of the day is The Rake!!

I had planned from the start that for this prompt I wanted some theme of an "interrupted silence". As in you try to escape as stealthy as you can but you end up making noise and getting caught anyway.

The hard part of this was choosing the character. Boy did I have a hard time with it. But at the end I chose The Rake, and lucky for you I have stuff to say about him.

So for my AU I want to go for a more "traditional" take with him using cryptids and local leyends like Moth Man or The Sasquatch. With people that claimed they've seen him, groups trying to hunt him down and a whole Subreddit dedicated to his sightings.

The Rake is known as this humanoid monster that roams the Appalachian Mountains and is the cause of many disappearances of people and animals alike. His origins are unknown even for beings like Slenderman. People theorize that he's a man that has gone for so long without civilization that became a savage creature, he's a demon or an evil spirit, he was a human experiment.

So this is the third piece of Creeptober, like I said I had a hard time deciding the protagonist of today and so I also had a hard time with the rest of the process. When I thought I was finished with the colors I noticed that the background felt too empty and didn't know what to do about it, so I ended up just doing some random shapes so it looked like The Rake is hiding behind some bushes or something(? Idk

Nothing that would really explain his existence, like all the other supernatural leyends that infest the famous mountains. Which are also a Rabbit Hole I'd like to dive deeper in my AU, but maybe another day

okay so with all this au talk, the DnD college au is actually occupying most of my brain space. here's how it starts (LOTS more info under the cut):

Yosuke is a college first year and has had terrible luck doing the whole fresh start, make lots of friends (and get tons of babes) so far.... so while he doesn't like his suitemate Kubo too much, when Kubo wheedles him to join him for some dorm board game thing (so he doesn't look like too much like a creep going alone; and "it's not like YOU've got any plans on a Friday night, Hanamura") to get close to Yuki-chan- "and there are other hotties there!!" Yosuke doesn't protest TOO much. plus there's free food!

board game thing was actually a DnD session a couple of other first years are trying to put together. also in attendance are: Souji (the dm), Yukiko and Chie (they're already friends but don't know the rest of the group), Kanji, Naoto (Rise is there briefly (she's Naoto's girlfriend); she won't be joining but she wanted to steal Souji's cooking and catch up a little as she, Naoto and Souji are already friends- Naoto is the one to help convince Souji to put together this DnD recruitment, actually. Rise's very busy but she'll appear on occasion throughout the campaign when Souji begs her to play a dramatic bit parts for NPCs) and Ai just cos I feel like other people than the IT should join for a lil bit (she will make an excuse 20 minutes in "ohhhh something came up I'll be right back." she doesn't.) Mitsuo will not be returning after the first session after Yukiko flatly turns him down. Teddie is back home with Yosuke's parents since he's not college age yet and won't be a part of this at all, probably

first session is a little messy (the enthusiasm levels vary wildly among the players) but what hooks Yosuke and gets him to come back again is one of his off the wall ideas in combat actually worked and won them the battle and the dopamine he got from that is unmatched

what's the campaign look like: UHHHHHH i don't know but I have the vague idea it would somewhat mirror the events of p4- so instead of some world ending adventuring maybe the gang uncovers a serial murder plot? but more fantasy. and maybe the murderer's story is somehow tied to the NPC that Yosuke eventually falls in love with idk

Naoto already had their character planned out beforehand: an elf ranger ♂ (Souji had to talk them down from going into some super specific off-book combo to not scare off the newbies that hopefully would join). Yukiko, Chie, and Kanji had all actually read the recruitment flyer for this event so had a vague idea of their characters but haven't played a ttrpg before so just went with what appealed to them rather then how they play. Yosuke had no idea what he was getting into so he's just going for what's Coolest. he considered being a super yolked warrior but nah... not even in make believe. But he could be an awesome stealthy ninja!! So he chooses rogue. as for race, he's not going to be an elf that's basically like being a fairy, right, and he's not... but he thinks they get cool bonus powers or something so he'll go with half-elf.

(Ai tried to be an elf princess but Souji gently maneuvered her to elf druid. Kubo went with the first things that caught his eye: dragonborn barbarian)

as for names, only Naoto came up with one already (Erawin <deeply into western high fantasy>); the rest of the gang workshops names at the table:

anyway the main meat of the au is an NPC appearing and then reoccurring throughout the campaign that Yosuke's character forms a natural rapport with... Souji picks up on this and fleshes out the NPC beyond what was a throw away background character. the gang try to do their DnD sessions every week for at least a couple hours, but it still takes them weeks and weeks to get through what Souji planned. since it's so gradual, Yosuke doesn't notice when their characters' banter turned from playful to outright flirtatious...

and he swears he's not like THAT but he can't help getting so genuinely upset when he dies* in Jira's arms and Yosuke can't separate character from person when he hears Souji's voice tells him before he dies that he- he loves--

like harry just wants to bust her ass instantly but asher wants to see her work her way through it and obviously theyre watching her every move bc even tho she wants to believe shes stealthy-which tbf she is a little bit-she definitely forgets to pay attention to some things, or like has to sneeze and cant keep it that quiet maybe? or accidentally starts talking to herself bc shes not necessarily nervous just trying to keep reminding herself what steps she has to do and stuff

and then she gets it out of the safe, and then all the alarms go off and all the lights turn red:)

and shes like ‘fuck’ and turns around to see asher standing there, and harrys gone to turn off the alarms and shit, and asher waits for him to get back and taunts her in the meantime, and when harry is there, theyll grab her and discuss what theyre gonna do with her, and how theyll punish her (bc as we all know they always talk about stuff in front of of her as if she isnt there-as seen in pillowtalk, or the first part of mine:)

and theyre both being SOOO degrading and mockingly sympathetic? like idk i cant think of any dialogue rn but i just KNOW itd be filthy as fuck
