suddenly having short story collection thoughts
#LISTENNN#trying to conceptualise a collection is the worst experience of my life every time#the glue between the stories ill put together always feels sooo thin#BUT I HAVE NOTICED.....THEMATIC THREADS#Characters Who Form Fraught Connections With Others To Combat Feeling Untethered To The Space They Are In#or feeling Between Spaces#something something sharpness vs liminality and where that sense is actually coming from#what is a space what does it mean to occupy a space body as space space as a body etc#see when i get concepts like that i then kind of flop because it stresses me out coming up with ideas with a Concept in mind#but this one feels specific but also vague enough to be a starting point#how does an orca pray always been my vision to have that as an opener...but like the swag rewritten version#sorry i still hate current how does an orca pray LOL anyway#if she was longer between us girls could be an opener too but idk if i want a flash as an opener. but also maybe that would be cool?#idk in my head those two stories are holding hands rn and sparked all of this
