Hey, Zach! I read your story for Magic: The Gathering, "Like No Other Beast", and saw you made a post here asking what people thought of it.
I loved it! I like how you managed to build a big manly Conan the Barbarian type character without making him look like a stereotype or a joke. (Which is, of course, much closer to the original Conan stories than pop culture understanding of them would indicate.) I like how him falling in love at first sight with a random lady is completely one-sided, but it's neither used as something he deserves nor as a joke, that's just how he feels. I love how verbose everyone is, especially during the final confrontation when they are insulting each other more than they are attacking. And I loved how, as the story moved to an end, it turned out to be a reference to Cadillacs & Dinosaurs.
Which is why I'm sending you an ask instead of just replying to your post (I had written this post as a reply, but it was still in my queue), since I don't know what the terms of your work with Wizards are and how amenable you were to respond to questions; this way, you can choose whether this goes public or not. But I was VERY curious so I just had to ask: Whose idea was it to make Cadillacs & Dinosaurs in Magic? Did Wizards approach you and pitch you that idea? Or did you come up with it? In that case, what was that they were asking, and how did you arrive at the final concept?
And one last question, who taught a druid from the prehistoric world how to drive stick?
Anyway, great work - hope to read more from you. Cheers.
So sorry this took me so long to answer! I usually check Tumblr on my phone, and I wasn't sure how long my answer was going to be.
First off, thank you so much for enjoying the story and sharing your kind words! I love the original Conan stories, and imbuing some of Robert E. Howard's dynamism into the prose was a big goal for me. Khrad is my take on a true barbarian hero, and I'd like to think I hit the mark.
As far as "Whose idea was it to make Cadillacs & Dinosaurs in Magic?", the answer is "Nobody, at least not explicitly." One of the Magic story leads had read and enjoyed my sword and sorcery story Steady and the Mountain and reached out to see if I'd like to do an S&S tale for them. They gave me a pitch with the broad skeleton of what they were looking for, and I filled it in with muscle and blood.
Funnily enough, despite Cadillacs & Dinosaurs/Xenozoic Tales being a huge reference point in a lot of the reception of the story(I see it in pretty much every comment thread discussing the story), it was never brought up in the discussions I had with the story team. I haven't read or watched it myself, though it seems my focus on rendering a prehistoric land and thinking through the juxtaposition of modern technology resonates very strongly with fans of it. Something to research if I ever get to go back to Muraganda, certainly.
As for your last question: she's self-taught. She was watching the Endriders for quite some time prior to when we meet her, and she closely studied how they interacted with their cars to be able to mimic it when the time came. To my mind, the virtue of being open-minded and willing to engage with unfamiliar things on their own terms is a major theme of the story, and Nathala's willingness to learn from outsiders, even from a distance, is how she exemplifies that virtue.
Thank you again for the message! I'm just getting started in my professional writing career, but if you were interested in reading some of my other work, I've got a thread linking each of my published stories on my Bluesky. Otherwise, keep an eye out! I'm sure I'll pop up again.

I've attempted getting into some of Capcom's arcade games from the 80s and 90s, and I wanted to ask if you've played any of them. If so, which ones do you particularly enjoy?
This is super belated, but I've dabbled in Mame, sure.
The thing about arcade games though is I don't know if I love a lot of them. They are for a very specific environment and playing them at home is kind of missing the point a lot of the time.
You need the financial pressure of losing real money to a failed attempt. And you kind of need that semi-public setting, where other people can watch you fail. Take those away and you lose a good half of the appeal.
A lot of Capcom games of this era are just beat'em'ups, too, which also benefit from being co-op more than anything else. Like, Capcom's two Dungeons & Dragons arcade games are legendary, but you're getting less out of them by playing alone. (There's also spiritual sequel/prequels called "Knights of the Round" and "King of Dragons" that may be worth looking at)
Aliens vs. Predator and Cadillacs & Dinosaurs are also pretty legendary Capcom beat'em'ups, as is The Punisher, and, of course, the seminal Final Fight. If you're looking for something a little different, don't forget the late 90's Battle Circuit.
Most Capcom fighters should be pretty obvious. You can't go wrong with Street Fighter, though these days I find myself drawn more to Darkstalkers for having a unique flavor. Mostly Darkstalkers 1 and 2, though; Darkstalkers 3 gets too weird for me. There's also Saturday Night Slammasters, which breaks tradition and is a wrestling game. And as far as the Versus games go, I lean more towards Marvel vs. Capcom 1 as my choice.
Puzzle Fighter is a pretty gold-standard puzzle game for me. One of the few I ever truly connected with. I used to be able to beat arcade mode with all the difficulty settings maxed out, though my skills are way more rusty nowadays.
If you're looking for action games, you could try Bionic Commando, but it's nothing like the NES version, and I think it's worse for it. I don't have very strong opinions on whether the NES or Arcade version of Strider is better, but at least arcade Strider feels more deliberately singleplayer focused. There's also Ghosts'n Goblins/Ghouls'n Ghosts, but those games have such a reputation for being bastards I tend to keep my distance.
I would however recommend Capcom's Willow arcade game. Not the greatest thing ever made, but it has its charm.
There's also certainly more (Black Tiger, Magic Sword, Mega Man Power Battles), but these are the ones I've kept in my Mame install.

Series Review: Ark: The Animated Series, the excellence between games and dinosaurs

Dinosaurs and their prehistoric world are something that has continued to fascinate the audience for decades, each reinvention in their stories and presentations, whether in films, television series, documentaries, comics, novels, collectible figures, video games, etc., has its place and success among locals and strangers, with children being the ones who have enjoyed these colossal creatures the most. Whether there are original stories or adaptations, it is difficult for everything to be and feel authentic and credible, for what we are going to see hear or read to capture us and take us on a journey where we can interact and feel part of a world in which that we interact with the main characters and of course the dinosaurs. Steven Spielberg is largely to blame because dinosaurs have been reinvented and modernized. In 1992 he adapted the popular novel written by Michael Crichton for the film Jurassic Park, already considered a science fiction classic and which gave way to a long franchise. cinema and video games have not been the exception, cases such as the Turok, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Dino Crisis, Primal Rage, and Ark franchises have been very popular on consoles such as Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC (Microsoft Windows), PlayStation, in which as players we can defend and defend ourselves against these creatures. In the very particular case of Ark (2015) things are reinvented, and in 2024 the popular game releases an animated series that is deceptively not for a children's audience, promising that what will be seen is explicit and violent entertainment for adults.
What is the series about?
Helena Walker (Madeleine Madden) is an Australian paleontologist who suddenly wakes up and finds herself alone in the middle of a vast ocean. After being attacked and escaping from a megalodon, she arrives ashore on a strange island where she meets Bob (Karl Urban). ) and a wild Dodo, together with them she will discover a strange new world inhabited by dinosaurs, warring tribes, and strange technology, making new allies and new enemies Helena will do whatever it takes to survive and hopefully find a way to return to his world and his time. As an audience that is apart from video games, the premise immediately reminds us of the animated series Primal (2019) created by Genndy Tartakovsky in which we see a prehistoric man and a dinosaur living dangerous adventures and facing ruthless enemies, we could say that this is not It is so original and that it falls into the modern cliché of we already know that they will survive but at the same time we enjoy the emotion and action. Although we know that the genre of science fiction and action films based on video games have not had the expected success among the public, some of them have been strongly criticized for their lack of originality and a good story, unlike others that have the opposite problem, a story that is too long, this has been compared in a way where for example a few hours of gameplay can cover the same amount with ten minutes of the film, resulting in a much longer adaptation in which explore different perspectives of the same story. Ark: The Animated Series has a long and concrete story that still gives a lot to adapt, the concept of narrating in a non-linear way allows itself to be longer and cover more seasons to know the greatest part of the game's story and this in turn can be divided so that it can work in a television format for all those who do not know or have not played the video game. The latter is the highest point it has to present, everything is explained in each of the 6 episodes that make up this first part of the first season: Element 1 Paleontologist Helena Walker wakes up on an island full of strange beasts where she will have to adapt and survive along with Bob.

Element 2 Helena flees from the explorers/hunters led by Nerva when she meets a new ally named Meiyin who will help her discover this new and dangerous world.

Element 3 Helena and Meiyin along the way find new allies in a tree-dwelling village led by a Lakota warrior and his adopted daughter, a disease that ravages the villagers brings everyone together in a quest to find a cure.

Element 4 Helena and her allies try to free prisoners in a mining camp, when Helena's plans go awry, she and Alasie are captured.

Element 5 Nerva unleashes a harsh surprise attack against John's village, the casualties among the population are noticeable and he will have the help of someone unexpected.

Element 6 On the verge of discovering how to return to Helena's time and place, John and Henry risk everything to rescue Meiyin from Nerva's cruelty.

During the development of these episodes, we meet the characters from different periods of history between the past and the future, Helena meets and befriends Meiyin Li (Michelle Yeoh) an archer from the Chinese Han dynasty who tries to free the people of Ark from the tyranny of the Roman general Gaius Marcellus Nerva (Gerard Butler), Nerva is a conqueror who intends to dominate the entire island, there is also the Lakota archer (Zahn McClarnon), the young Inuit healer Alasie (Devery Jacobs). Together, they will also try to fight against the true villain of this series, Sir Edmund Rockwell (David Tennant), a Victorian scientist who betrayed Meiyin and seeks to exploit Ark in his way and who with the alliance he has with Nerva and the help of the three artifacts, (Green, red and blue) plan to take the army they have made in Ark out of that time vortex and conquer our time and reality. Comparisons and changes between the series and the video game are inevitable. If we put it in another context, the story is told differently and has a freer adaptation. The story of these episodes, just like in the game, requires a dose of graphic and explicit violence that characterizes it, this being a material for adults that is completely removed from a typical story, mixing elements of the past with technology from the future makes it have a plus point in its development even though this element is not entirely original. At the end of episode 6 we are already clear that Ark is a prefabricated world with a specific purpose that is at a point between the past and the future where it serves as a training ground for something bigger that we do not yet know, this is the part in which screenwriters Marguerite Bennett and Kendall Deacon Davis join forces with video game creators Jeremy Stieglitz and Jesse Rapczak to create an alternate story that contains different elements and can be seen from a freer perspective that gives them the opportunity to do things that They were not contemplated for the game saga, nor is there a moral message that empowers women or that what is important is love, family, collaboration, friendship or that praises their inclusion and diversity and blah blah blah, it is very Of course, this is an audiovisual show with a deep background that involves and focuses more on survival than on the path of a hero, which there is but it is not something that has to be present at every moment, there is so much to see and There's so much to tell that they don't waste time on situations that lead nowhere or on filler sequences that only get in the way and don't contribute, here they get straight to the point. The structure of its main story allows each character to have a presentation, a motive, and a clear and concise characterization. As the story progresses, the mysteries develop subplots that involve everyone and a more general and broader visualization is offered. of what this world is and what we as viewers can expect, seeing with care and detail so many characters from different times, spaces and cultures coming together to defend their habitat is a feat in itself and a great achievement, each one has a personality defined that makes them unique. As an adaptation of a game that complies with the rule and the main objective of the protagonist which is survival, we see that Helena, being alone in a wild and dangerous world, needs Meiyin and her group to carry out this main mission, the environment of Ark It is relentless and constantly changing as Helena and Meiyin have to face different dangers to find food, shelter and allies, which means they must stay alert at all times and test themselves how far they will go to stay alive. alive and able to escape this world and return to his time. The structure of its story and subplots is what allows itself to have a non-linear development in which we see flashbacks where Helena continues to remember the loss of her partner Victoria (Elliot Page). Although we know that she is not alone and that he has new friends in Ark, pain is always present and is what he uses as a motivator to get out of each of the dangers, if before he had the cowardice of wanting to commit suicide, now it is the opposite, his desire to survive and returning to where it belongs is stronger than anything else, a more realistic representation of post-traumatic stress disorder in a more nuanced and understandable recreation, the dinosaurs play a vital supporting role, they are not only beasts of burden but they are also part of the environment, whether domesticated or wild, those that are at the service of warriors and those that are pets, and their best moments are when they bond with humans. The animation is a mix between traditional and very moderate CGI, which makes it visually impressive, having a great aesthetic reference from anime with Western influence, each shot made by directors Jeremy Stieglitz, Jay Oliva, David Hartman, Sebastian Montes, and Chase Conley It looks and feels realistic, all the characters resemble historically real people and the aesthetics of their time, creating a feeling of unity within this great diversity, the design of the dinosaurs is carefully cared for in detail, giving them a texture and personality So that they look and feel as real as possible within what their animation allows, we see them dirty, with scales, with feathers of varied and bright colors, with movements and expressions closer to the representations that we already know. The sound design is another element that plays greatly in favor of the plot, sounds of animals, fauna in general, clashes in fights, the humming of insects, and even the waves of the sea are felt and appreciated as something that They were taken from a real world, each sound is strategically designed and recorded to be remixed and provides indispensable support to what we see, together with the animation the work results in something impeccable. The impressive voice cast includes Madeleine Madden, Gerard Butler, David Tennant, Michelle Yeoh, Zahn McClarnon, Devery Jacobs, Jeffrey Wright, Karl Urban, Elliot Page, Malcolm McDowell, Alan Tudyk, Vin Diesel, Russell Crowe and Monica Bellucci. each one understands their character and they do the best they can with the script, each one of them works very well with their character perfectly in their role, from subtle and harmonious voices to those that are stronger, dominant, and authoritarian, and important detail to What is worth mentioning and what must be celebrated in a production like this is that each Australian indigenous or aboriginal character has a voice actor appropriate for their race. Gareth Coker is the perfect composer for the music of this series, his previous works include Ori and the Blind Forest, ARK: Survival Evolved, ARK: Survival Ascended, and Halo Infinite, it has pieces that very subtly sample what was made for the video game having these his personality and participation in each episode, which makes it a complete and very entertaining audiovisual show, an impeccable work that helps its plot and does not remain just background noise. Despite the delay due to the global situation of the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the lack of promotion by Paramount, the series arrives at a time when this platform can consolidate its productions while being up to date. height of what Apple TV has done, they are not just filler programs, they are products that can be very well positioned to the audience's taste, compared to the HALO live-action experiment that did not work, this series works better than anyone could expect exceeding any expectations. In conclusion, Ark: The Animated Series shows us that good adaptations of video games with a good story can be made in the right hands, works like this are the ones that pleasantly surprise us when we are looking for something different and exciting in a very misunderstood genre in a time in which any adaptation, sequel, prequel or reboot is already synonymous with failure, although the series is not so original, its concept is very well managed and focused on what it wants to convey to us, it is not just more entertainment, it is a job which dignifies its genre and gives the possibility of having more seasons, which we are already looking forward to. Ark: The Animated Series arrives on the Paramount + platform this April 19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeDurRFxXTI Read the full article

A few years ago, I coined the term dinopunk to describe the particular genre of my Gondolend stories, as well as any other story or setting where dinosaurs coexist with humans, but as an established, everyday part of the world rather than something wondrous and new or a bunch of monsters to run away from. So more Cadillacs and Dinosaurs than Jurassic Park.
I also fucking hated Jurassic World to the point that I still haven't bothered to see Fallen Kingdom or Dominion and I have no plans to any time soon.
So imagine my dismay when I realized that Dominion was technically turning the world of the Jurassic World movies into a dinopunk setting, albeit an incredibly stupid one that doesn't make any sense if you think about it for five seconds.

Michael Savage New Canaan Muscular Tissue Automobile Madness
With Dodge re-releasing the opposition, and also Chevrolet re-releasing the camero, I think that a return of the muscular tissue cars is up on us, and for a muscular tissue vehicle freak like me, this is an excellent advantage, it's one of those that I assumed would certainly never ever happen, with all the tree huggers, hippies, and general complainers out these, I just figured that my desire to see the old American muscle once again would certainly be flushed away thus numerous traditional American cars.
With all the people in this country that appear to assume that import vehicles are built better, and so many people that just do not count on our country anymore, I never believed that today would come, I heard all the whimpering regarding these automobiles that first time around, I still bear in mind t duplicate of automobile craft magazine that had a head rock on the front, the head stone read something such as this high efficiency born in 1950; passed away in 1979, exactly how true it was, and also this because of the complainers, like Ralph Nader, the high efficiency world's fly in the lotion.
Michael Savage New Canaan
They tried to assassinate American muscle mass, by making muscular tissue cars bent on be the crook, they singled after that out as beasts, as dinosaurs, that had an appetite to destroy the world, while just disregarding the deluxe automobile that were doing the very same point at the time, you can no longer get a muscle mass auto, yet a Cadillac, or a Lincoln was no worry for the powers that be, a gas consuming Mercedes, or Bentley was no big deal, yet a camero was just awful, a corvette was a step listed below that, and it became worse that more hungry you were for American muscular tissue.
Michael Savage New Canaan
When they uncovered that people like Ralph Nader could not kill the American muscular tissue auto, well after that it was time to get the insurance provider associated with this little concern, they can be found in as well as increased the insurance coverage rate that the dealerships needed to pay to have these vehicle on their great deals for sale, however it still really did not remove the big young boys, like Yenko, Baldwin, as well as a couple of various other pick companies, they kept the faith, until it no longer made sense to them.
That was the 1960's as well as 70's, it's now 2008, and a return of American muscle in the jobs, with Ford re-releasing the mustang, as well as Chevy proceeding work with the corvette, and also the 2008-2009 camaro being released, and also Dodge is re-releasing the challenger, I'm liking it, this is extremely excellent for a man like me, I man that eats, rests, and also takes a breath muscular tissue cars, I guy who is still and also American, a guy that does not think that import cars are better the our American autos, a guy that relies on our nation, and it's autos.
I'm honored to be an American, and I'm honored to drive an American constructed vehicle, I have actually possessed Toyota's and also other import cars and trucks, and also they did never out last, out carry out, or out carry out in any type of means a good old American cars and truck, a Chevy, a Ford, or a Mopar product, as well as it will certainly never take place in my eyes, due to the fact that I enjoy American vehicles, I can rebut any type of factor that an import cars and truck lover brings up, it can never be proved that imports are a far better selection after that an American vehicle.

Wondering about Rise of the Beasts synergy atm. Age of Extinction somewhat influenced Rescue Bots and RiD15 by the inclusion of Dinobots as major characters (the Rescue Bots assuming Dinosaur beast modes while Bee’s unit would have a Dinobot that was originally a new stegosaurus character but would later become Grimlock).
The success of the first movie would’ve seen Animated’s Autobot team altered to mimic the team used in the 07 movie, like Ratchet turning green and Ironhide replacing Bulkhead, though Animated was canceled for this could take effect. (The one thing I am happy about because I wasn’t personally a fan of this change, despite being a fan of the movie and TFA.)
So I’m currently wondering how Hasbro might try similar synergy with EarthSpark. It’s been insisted by the likes of AndyUnicronus now Axiom Nexus that Optimus Primal and Megatron could appear but I’m not sure of the specifics there. My own, unlikely scenario was they’d be remnant Autobots and Decepticons from Cybertron stopping by Earth to check up on what’s happening, but Axiom offers ideas of them being Terrans to mirror the idea of Maximals typically being the descendants of the Autobots.
Rumors with RotB as of typing suggest the Maximals are from a dead colony planet (the Jungle Planet but take your pick if it’s called something like Animatros, Eukaris, Biosfera or Energoa) that escaped the Terrorcons’ wrath and settled on Earth in its prehistory until the Autobots met them in the 90’s. Optimus Primal appearing as a colonist feels more likely, but I don’t know if that would over complicate EarthSpark’s mostly simple narrative by including other Transformer colonies (as much as I would like to see it and the resulting culture clash).
I feel like though the easiest to implement would be Mirage and the Terrorcons for now though. Mirage is easy enough, he’s a young Autobot about Bumblebee’s age, has sort of a spoiled rich kid personality that’s thoroughly fed up with their Earth vacation but when the chips are down, comes through for the Autobots and Maltobots. He’s successful at hiding from GHOST because of his mastery of holograms and invisibility, and performs tricks to entertain the Malto kids and Terrans. I can see his arc being similar to Rescue Bots Blurr where he comes out of hiding and crashes with the Maltos for awhile, and he learns to become less selfish and more of a team player overtime.
The Terrorcons, similar to the film, are the Decepticon replacement, though instead of being minions of Unicron, they’d preferably be a splinter faction that resumed the Decepticon Empire out in space, coming to Earth to conquer it or just blow it the skrud up if it comes to it. Alternatively they could be akin to the mostly scrapped Star Seekers, Transformers mad at other Transformers enough that they’re blowing up colony worlds for “reasons”, and now Earth is the latest one in their sights (after that Gobotron and Skalor!). Scourge would still be the leader, but I’m not sure if Battletrap or Nightbird would be included in this scenario, since I don’t know if EarthSpark would whip out Nightbird as a hidden Decepticon instead (though would she be a Cadillac like Arcee since the modern trend is to repaint her from Arcee…). Whoever would make up the team, I feel strongly there should be some Beast Mode guys in there. Preferably some more Beast Wars characters, but G1 guys like Squeezeplay or Horri-Bull would fit well here. So would Skullcruncher but uh, he’s already here lol.

Miraculous Ladybug: Future Madness
Ok....So ... I've been thinking about this idea for a long time and it would be the first time I published a concrete and concise idea like this, even more so for a very direct fandom such as the Miraculous Ladybug fandom. It should be clarified that this is an IDEA or CONCEPT, it is not something real.
Making that clear, I continue to continue.
This idea for a video game based on the Miraculous Ladybug universe came up while I was trying to remaster the TMNT: Turtles In Time soundtrack (the Arcade version, not the SNES version).
At first I started as a very basic idea but then it evolved to the concept that I want to share with you, but before continuing, I must first divide the content into parts, to better understand how I imagine a Miraculous Ladybug video game would be.
1. THE GAMEPLAY:
Introducing you to my crazy idea, we have the most important and crucial thing, the gameplay.
This video game, from my perspective, I feel that it would be a Beat 'Em Up, a classic genre of games like Streets Of Rage, Final Fight, Kunio-Kun Saga, Double Dragon, etc. Its specific gameplay would drink a lot from the aforementioned games but would also add mechanics such as, for example, the semi-3D scenes of TMNT: Turtles In Time from the SNES and a bit of the gameplay of Cadillacs and Dinosaurs.
The number of players would be 4 for a maximum of 4 characters and among the main controllable characters would be:
-Marinette (Ladybug)
-Adrien (Chat Noir)
-Kagami (Ryuko)
-Nino (Carapace)
Later, more playable characters and surprises would be unlocked.
The scenarios would have to be a little more elaborate and long than the average Beat 'Em Up, to encourage exploration but without too much open world, to find a balance between the old arcade gameplay Beat' Em Up and the new exploration sensation of the more Recent Beat 'Em Up like Streets Of Rage 4 or River City Girls.
2. THE HISTORY:
The story is why I really do this blog and this idea, since, as I said previously, it was something that evolved over time and now it is somewhat complex.
To sum up the whole general plot, the game begins with the player controlling Ladybug and her friends (Chat Noir, Carapace and Ryuko) to fight Lila and Shadowmoth (Before Hawkmoth) and the army of minions that Lila is creating with her powers of Volpina to wreak havoc and keep the heroes busy, as well as separated so she can have a chance to get hold of the Miraculous from Ladybug and Chat Noir.
The player finishes the introductory level and defeats these two bosses while getting used to the gameplay. Once Shadowmoth is defeated along with Lila, the heroes are about to unmask our villain but then a time portal appears and a very badly wounded Bunnyx and a mysterious villain who has the same powers as Shadowmoth but still leaves almost flying. notorious much stronger than the mentioned one. The villain shows her strength despite being very hurt, making it clear how strong she is, in order to take Bunnyx through the portal. The heroes chase the villain through the portal to end up in an alternate universe / future where this villain controls Paris from the shadows, with her akumas powered by microtechnology that allow her to keep akumatized who will be the game's zone bosses.
The heroes thus, would meet the very limited and small resistance whose leaders would be a mysterious heroine who would call herself "Savage Rouge" and an aging Gabriel Agreste. After some somewhat limited and mysterious explanations, the heroes would go to work to defeat each boss who controls an area of the City of Paris.
While the player defeats each boss and deakumatizes them, little by little it is discovered that each boss is actually a friend and acquaintance of our heroes and they are discovering little by little things of this alternate future, the mysterious villain, Lady Darkmoth, as they know her, is healing her wounds and gaining more energy in her secret and private laboratory while her two mysterious assistants are taking care that the " government "of his lady and boss does not fall apart.
Once the heroes have managed to free almost all of Paris from the control of Lady Darkmoth, the heroes in their hiding place of the resistance are celebrating without knowing that one of their friends has a tracker that reveals the location to the villain, to top it off the mysterious villain is already completely healthy and with more power than before. Lady Darkmoth takes advantage of the fact that everyone is celebrating the victory to give a wild surprise with hers, two mysterious helpers of hers. Lady Darkmoth sends her assistants to take care of the resistance members and who were deakumatized while Lady Darkmoth takes care of Ladybug, Chat Noir, Carapace, Kagami, Savage Rouge, Gabriel Agreste and Emilie Di Vanille (who in this alternate future has been saved and awakened by Ladybug and has separated from Gabriel Agreste), defeating everyone with great ease, being only Emilie, Lila and Gabriel who end up giving her the most fight but defeating them in the end. Lady Darkmoth reveals to heroes the truth about who Gabriel Agreste is and reveals the identity of Savage Rouge, being neither more nor less than Lila Rossi. After that she would reveal her true identity, Emma Duppain-Agreste, the middle daughter of Marinette Duppain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste.
Emma would charge a powerful attack with which she would destroy the base of the resistance, taking with her Gabriel, Emilie and Lila, thinking that with her great charged attack she managed to kill the heroes, who have been narrowly saved.
The heroes and the rebels who were left alive decide to go to the secret facilities following the villain, taking advantage of a trace that the villain's power generates and that they have just discovered to their secret laboratories, waging a tough battle against the huge arsenal of sentimonsters modified with Futuristic technology that Emma has at her disposal. There the heroes manage to enter the depths of the secret laboratory and free Gabriel, Alyx, Lila and Emilie, Lila being the only conscious one and which explains that Emma became the villain they know because of the Marinette of the future. denied her middle daughter being a superhero for fear that all her children could end up hurt or even traumatized as she suffered with that stressful life, taking it to somewhat radical extremes that ended up taking Emma away from her mother and causing her to she became more friends with Lila, which little by little would end up giving her the wrong ideas. Lila would tell them that Emma would end up misinterpreting an advice that she would give to a very moody and angry Emma and would end up attacking her parents when they were off guard, thereby assuming the blame as well and that for that she had taken the mantle of Savage Rouge , to at least try to repair the damage, freeing Gabriel Agreste from jail so that he could also help him by his knowledge of the Miraculous. After the explanation, the heroes go to try to defeat Emma before she carries out her plan to expand her control to more cities in the world but in it they face the mysterious helpers who turn out to be crazed and adult versions of Marinette and Adrien, which were used by Emma as guinea pigs to perfect her mecha akumas to control people by way of revenge.
The heroes finally arrive with Emma and fight her but in the middle of the first fight Emma cheats using an unfinished special machine to greatly weaken the heroes until Lila intervenes and sacrifices herself to expose the weak point of the girl. Emma's machine and dies, causing the heroes to overcome the final battle, defeating the young villain, who survives weakened and Ladybug and her friends destroy the laboratory while taking Emma and the others who were inside the laboratory. Emma is imprisoned for life like Gabriel (who must pay her perpetual sentence). Ladybug and the heroes are dedicated to helping rebuild the Paris of the alternate future but are later taken by a Bunnyx recovered in time, but not before Marinette writing on a paper what mistakes she should not make in the future (without revealing much of his alternate future or what he has experienced in the game). Bunnyx takes them back in time after erasing them all from her memory and ends the story.
Yes, yes, I know, the story is very long, but that does not prevent it from being used in a game and even more so in a Beat 'Em Up game. It would just be a matter of simplifying a few things. Let me know in the comments if you like the story or your suggestions.
3. THE MUSIC:
The music would have to be a fusion of styles that would be based on the musical style of the TMNT game: Turtles In Time (Arcade Version) with some musical ideas from some games like Sega's Out Run (Arcade) or some works by composer Luke McQueen.
Here is some of his best works:
youtube
(This will be a perfect Older Akumatized Chloe Level)
youtube
(Older Akumatized Chloe Boss Theme or Theme 2)
youtube
(This Would be a Perfect Akumatized Older Luka Boss Theme)
youtube
(This will be a Cementary Level Theme)
youtube
(This will be a perfect Police Station Theme Level)
4. UNLOCKABLE EXTRAS:
For this part, I got to think about what I could put as unlockable content (I don't like DLC, I prefer unlockable content and that the game is worth the money it demands). These would be the unlockables of my hypothetical game:
-Unlock characters and kwamis for heroes but post-campaign (New Game +)
-Small Playable Campaign where we explore the perspective of Gabriel, Lila and two rebellious characters that in the future will end up becoming the Ladybug and Chat Noir.
-An art gallery where you can see the concept arts of the series and the video game.
-Small Playable Campaign where we can play as Emma Agreste when she tries to be Ladybug (part of the story that tells you different characters in the base campaign) and her friends, who only two survived to be akumatized in the future by Emma, the other he died and was a major factor in Emma's fall from grace.
-Extra soundtrack but in SNES and Sega Genesis version.
-A small animated mini series that explains in detail the one that led to all the characters of the alternate future ending up as they were.
-Play maybe a little glimpse into Gabriel and Emilie's past.
5. VISUAL STYLE:
I have thought of the visual style in a very pixel art style but that borders on the almost cartoonish HD, something similar to the beautiful Pixel Art that was used for SNK's King Of Fighters XIII and the pixel art style that will be used for the new one. game that will arrive this year from the Ninja Turtles (Here are some videos to give you an idea of the visual style: https://youtu.be/yyMjlO5Ao7M and https://youtu.be/GemOAwU-9fo)
Obviously the level design would have to adjust to imagine a futuristic half Paris with things like the famous Hoverboards (Flying Skateboards) or flying cars, drones and a long etc.
I thinks this is all folks. This idea from a hypothetical videogame of Miraculous Ladybug have so much time in my crazy mind and I hope you like it. Give me your suggestions and your critics. I hear you.

📋 Penjani and 📋 Truman
📋 FACT CHECK 📋
Still Accepting!
Penjani owns a 1968 Cadillac DeVille. Convertible. Hunter green. Her name is Kelly and Penjani would kill for her.
Penjani collects a lot of interesting things! Seeing as she lives close to swampland, she often enjoys trying to find something to add to the pile on the shores— her current collections vary vastly but include things like: weird discarded dolls, license plates, teeth and bones, cool rocks, and more!
Wears stacking rings a lot. She thinks they make her fingers look extra slender and pretty...maybe a little more mystical too— that being said, it should also be noted that she doesn't like the concept of changing her appearance to appear more like a stereotypical "fortune teller" and refuses to do it. You'll take your damn fortune while she wears jeans and a shark print shirt and you can suck it.
Penjani has Aquaphobia and won't go anywhere near large bodies of water. There may be a literal swamp behind her home, but she never treads too close to the water's edge, plus the water is...chunky. There are huge piles of reeds and rocks and it seems to break up the surface more and that she can tolerate being (somewhat) close to. Purely open bodies of water are a definite no. She especially is wary of rivers and lakes.
She will pull "I'm a psychic, dammit!" whenever she needs something. She's used it to cut in line at Starbucks. She's a menace.
Truman kind of talks like Elmer Fudd. No, I will not elaborate.
Truman has very obsessive tendencies, usually involving his potential victims. Due to his loneliness and awkwardness towards most people, those that attempt to be nice to him or befriend him tend to become love objects to him, and a part of this fantasy he builds in his head— acquaintances are always regarded more like best friends regardless of how close they actually are. It is also incredibly easy to anger him if you are the current object of his affection and self-worth. Rejecting him, ignoring him, etc. can cause him to lash out!
He's never seen the Harry Potter series, stop telling him he looks like Peter Pettigrew, he doesn't even know who that is! He doesn't care!
He has the palate of a five-year-old. Truman knows what he likes and he likes things like mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, oatmeal, pancakes, french fries, and, of course, human flesh. He's eating your neighbor with a side of dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets. He smothered Chik-fil-A sauce on Jerry from Accounting.
Has really bad seasonal allergies. It acts up mostly around the start of autumn and he's just constantly runny and sneezy. Ew.
