i vaguely missed being in one of those limited content fandoms that fractured randomly into related material and latched onto it for dear life. it’s good
#like for example i remember uhhhhh glee#back in the day i was a big darren criss fan#except he had a brother in a cool band so then i followed that band along with half of the fandom#and we kind of diverged into this weird subfandom that really liked darren criss' brother's band?#and also with glee#one time this random subgroup of the fandom stayed up real late#because there was a rumored interview on a morning talk show in the uk during the glee live tour#except it was just a rumor and we ended up just all liveblogging this obscure bbc whatever radio station until 2am#and then a group of us started... continuing to liveblog that same radio show when it aired#there were in jokes that i still vaguely remember to this day#like they played 'we're going to ibiza' and that became a whole fandom Thing#not the whole broader fandom but that one small niche part of the internet i was in had this weird injoke about laundry because of#something so obscure as to be meaingless#and that's what i love about fandom idk
