Follow Flow. Youichi looked them up after his impromptu audition. A boy band idol group, only just got together the previous year. Members: Yuki Tetsuya, the oldest at 25. Takigawa has explained he was the silent but caring type. Looked tough but was like a teddy bear. He often doted on the youngest member, Toujou Hideaki. He was the princely type, innocent and naive. And at just barely 18, Youichi figures it probably wasn’t much of an act. Kominato Ryousuke, 21, and the mischievous mysterious type. He liked to tease and play pranks and the act was he had a darker tougher side despite looking so sweet. And finally, Shirakawa Katsuyuki, 23. The member that left to pursue a solo career under Inashiro records. He was also the silent type but also the cool and uncaring one that all the fans were determined had something warm underneath.
Youichi looked at the picture and rolled his eyes. He doubted it.
His meeting with Takigawa had been pure luck. Youichi’s band had just dissolved, Carlos finding a gig with modeling and Sawamura and Kanemaru content to play around for fun and go to school. Youichi had been looking around for a new band that needed a guitarist. Or a singer. Or both. So he went to some open mics and sang. Not the usual rock he was into since it didn’t translate well with one guitar but he was hoping for a bite.
And he got a big one.
He’d never been in a real studio before. Seidou records was like a dream. Takigawa had approached after he performed in some little dive bar. Showed him his credentials, gave him a usb with a copy of Follow Flow’s album as well as sheet music for a few of the songs, and told him to come in and audition for the group.
A poppy boy group wasn’t what he had imagined for his future but you couldn’t exactly turn down a once in a lifetime offer like this.
And so what if those red eyes might’ve helped spur him not actually listening and learning the songs.
He found the room and took a deep breath before opening the door.

Carlos looked at the setting sun. 'I used to think it was setting at the wrong time,' he said, 'but then I realized that time doesn’t work in Night Vale, and that none of the clocks are real. Sometimes things seem so strange or malevolent, and then you find that, underneath, it was something else altogether. Something pure, and innocent.'
