i now have two half shadow drawings that are a year (and 2 months...) apart so i guess this is a good "a year of progress" demonstration! 2020 (left) vs 2021 (right)
#if you want to support the newest drawing you can find it on my art blog @v-bunni!#and thank you to my friends for supporting me 💖#but yeah its good to look at stuff like this sometimes and see that no matter how bad i feel#something has happened while ive tried hhsjfkfkjdjdkf#i still dont dislike the older one like the concept is cool and the mood is appropriate#but my skills at depth and texture and proportions and hair especially have gotten better#what really drags me down now is how messy everything is which you can see in the new one too#bc once again i didnt do any actual line art its just the sketch#and its bc i get fatigued with pieces bc they take me so long to me#the new one took me over 7 hours to do when this kinda drawing shouldnt take over 3 hours even#i guess ove lowered it from an average of 10 hours to an average of 8 hours#but god i wish i could draw faster so it wouldnt feel like such a challenge to finish stuff#anyway something abt this new drawing made me more secure in the knowledge that i want#to keep drawing and improving#and also made me more confident in the decision to invest in an ipad once i get my inheritance#im so excited for it btw 😭😭#drawing directly on a screen? with procreate? mobile commands? and no need for a computer?#sounds like a dream come true 💖#my art#blood
