a thought i had while looking at that heckin cute art you drew of machete being ordained, would modern au machete like to wear dresses?

He's supposed to come across somewhat androgynous and gnc, especially in the modern au setting, so maybe? I suppose he wouldn't be fully against the idea. It's a different matter entirely whether he'd have the nerve to ever actually give it a try though, he might simply be too self-conscious and repressed to entertain the thought.

it started out as just an innocent curiosity. looking at your shoes to see if they're the same pair she last saw you in a few months ago. noticing your hair cuts and styles, what color scrubs you wear, whether or not you're wearing jewelry today, or how much eye contact you can make without feeling a chill run down your spine from being under her gaze.

but slowly, overtime, her curiosities turned to daydreams.

daydreams about you helping her embalm the cadavers. you bringing her a small gift for her work, you complimenting her hair, or her perfume

daydreams about what your skin would feel like under her fingertips. about cutting open your neck and watching all the blood drain from your body. about keeping your corpse from rotting until she just can't anymore, and burying you in a place where a tree can grow from your bones so she can sit with you, and talk to you, and bring you flowers and pretty things you used to like.

daydreams about how you'd rot, or how pretty your heart would feel in her hands, both beating and dead.

she didn't mean for it to get so intense. she just thought you were pretty, she thought you were kind. she wanted to be around you more.

so maybe one of these days you'll finally notice she shops at your store now, or takes walks in the same park you do, or that she's now wearing pretty pretty jewelry and pretty pretty lipstick every time you see her

Eeeeeeek, your dark Lucifer WIP is so captivating! Lucifer comes across so insanely creepy it makes me want to hide in a remote corner. And then you also said you don't really start off your stories with Alastor and Lucifer not really liking each and then developing feelings over time, and in the context here... I just wonder what that would look like. This dark, creepy version of Lucifer developing a crush on Alastor. I wonder what would be the start of that change. 'Cause Alastor already has this primal, instinctive fear of this version of Lucifer who very much seems to want him dead. At the point when Lucifer starts crushing, I bet there would be a moment where Alastor breathes a sigh of relief because even if he doesn't reciprocate at the very least he can rest assured Lucifer doesn't want to pop him like a grape any more, right? Only it's his momentary peace that gets popped because Lucifer's weird creepy unsettling behavior doesn't stop and can you tell I'm rolling around on my bed kicking my feet like a schoolgirl yet?

I'm glad people are finding dark!Lucifer as captivating as I do ^.^

God, there are so many things I want to get into with this AU, but I'm stuck between not wanting to spoil anything for when I DO write it, but really wanting to talk about it because it's been on my brain for sooooo long and I want it out T.T

I guess, one thing I can say is that you're right about Alastor being able to sigh in relief when Lucifer develops feelings, because it gives him reassurance that he won't get snapped out of existence. Although, Charlie would be sad if Alastor got snapped out of existence, so he also had that going for him.

When I get around to properly writing this, I'm very excited to get into Lucifer's creepy side. I adore writing thrillers and suspense, and I've been wanting to read a Hazbin thriller fic sooo much.

was originally thinking of having maomao and jinshi jus like. be friends in the ah-duo/maomao au but honestly i think its infinitely funnier if maomaos like some criptid that comes in, solves some problem for him, and disappears again before he can actually talk to her. maomao just leaves notes in his office and he somehow is never able to actually run into her in person. the first time they meet face to face she saves his life and still manages to disappear before he can talk to her. it takes literal years of this before he finally manages to officially meet her and he only does so because ah-duo actually decides to introduce them. starts out with everyone but jinshi thinking maomao is some supernatural entity and ends with ONLY jinshi thinking maomao's some supernatural entity
