I do actually own one nice pair of headphones that arin got me when the local brookstone was going out of business aaages ago, and thankfully the batteries haven't gone bust yet even though I basically did not use them At All for quite a while, but even now I usually only wear them walking along the extremely busy road or doing audio work, so whenever I incidentally use them for music in a quiet space I'm like oh, damn, I forgot music could do that lol

#I used the cheapest earbuds I could get for an extremely long time #and now that I don't share my room I usually use the speaker built in to the phone #I did get a cute little portable speaker that I exclusively use when taking a bath #and I also use the tv speakers a lot #but I keep both those turned relatively low for the neighbors and there's still animal noise and fans and so on #and even the best speaker at the ideal volume is not the same as good headphones #they're not noise cancelling but they are muffling #I pulled them out to start on brbavr transcription #and I took a break to look at tumblr #someone reblogged a video of a nautilus swimming around with some music
