Last night I got to watch Species (1995) with my friends and reminded me of something...

A fic i dea that I'll never write pining for each other but you're too dumb to realize the other's feelings.

I won't elaborate much.

After they all think they killed Sil instead of going to the club Dr Stephen (Alfred Molina) goes back to his house which you, his friend, were currently house sitting.

During his absence you got your feelings about him straight, you liked him and even if he doesn't seem interested there's something about the way he looks at you that made you believe there could be something between you two.

He took the job offered by Finch initially because it was good money and a very interesting case but he knew there was another reason. He needed some time away from you to clear his head, to see if these feelings for you would go away if he stopped seeing you for a while. They did not.

After trying to go for Laura, and failing, he noticed the way she looked at Press and her behavior around him seemed familiar, like when you are around him, the quick glances you give him thinking he can see you the body language, how sometimes you couldn't stop smiling at him. He realized, very late, that you might also have feelings for him just as he does for you.

So right when the investigation was over and everyone concluded that Sil was no longer alive he took ome of Finch's helicopters to get him back home, to you.

Late at night Stephens house phone started ringing waking you up. It was him telling you that the job was done and he is on his way.

That filled you with all the energy you needed to think of something to do that will let him know what you feel for him. With a plan in mind all you had left to do was wait for him.

A few hours later he entered the front door letting you know he's back. He assumed you were sleeping so he made his way yo his bedroom.

He was expecting to find you sound asleep what he did not expect was to see you infront of his bed in nothing but his bathrobe, standing there looking at him.

Slowly you made your way to him, untying the knot of the robe and letting it expose your naked body to him "Welcome home" you greeted him just one feet away from him just in case you read it all wrong you wanted to give him a way to back up.

But he did not move. He just stared at you, mouth agape as if he couldn't believe the sight before him.

You took another step now few inches separating you. Your hand go to cup his cheek, thumb softly caressing the skin until it touched the corner of his still open mouth, you other hand made the robe fall off of your shoulders. The shuddering breath he took at the sight made you smile.

"Why so quiet? I thought you'd be happy to be back home" you pressed yourself on him. Your hands started to wander on his chest.

"This kind of thing doesn't usually happen to me" he breathed out in almost a whisper.

You yanked his tie and got him face to face with you "If you want me to stop just say so" as your lips moved they ghosted over his while you talked.

He didn't say anything he just closed the gap between your mouths and started to undress himself with you walking backwards to the bed making sure not to stop kissing him.

And then happens what happened to him with Sil but without the death and pregnancy part.
