🌻💚Today is a very special day for me in particular...it's officially been 10 years since I first created the very first OC to stick around the longest, Velva! 💚🌻

Of course I can't say she's the first character I've ever made, even if I can't remember the ones before her, I know Velva wasn't my very first creation. But even after all this time, she holds a lot of special meaning to me. It's not just a character birthday, or an anniversary, but this is an achievement. Not only does this achievement that mark a very early point in my art hobby that I still do to this day, but it marks just how far I've come since I was 11 (crazy right?! this makes me feel old). It's when I really started to take art seriously and dedicate big portions of my life to it.

In a way Velva was a character that was meant to be the kinds of friends I didn't have in my life at the time irl, someone goofy, caring, supportive. I got super lonely in middle school until about the 7th-8th grade. When big things happen in my life, I know making characters or a story is gonna cheer me right up. And that really all started with my sona, and Velva. She's always gonna be the BFF to my sona cause in a way Velva has been through so much with me. I never plan on replacing her for the world :3

Her alongside some of my other OCs (like Derpy, Ice, Cellcia, and Sprite) I made all those years ago really sparked those creative juices in me and have most likely led you to see me today, which...hi! I'm glad you're reading this. Some or most of you might not really know my older OCs like Velva. But I appreciate you tuning in and liking my art, despite me getting busier and busier in this sad reality that is being an adult.

I know I'm getting real sappy over a fictional character and my art but it's MY fictional character and art dammit!

Thank you for listening to my ted talk, and for the support. I hope to make many more art pieces forevermore in the future and I'll probably be just as shocked when Velva turns 20, so cheers for her! Happy 10th anniversary/birthday, Velva!

vegetable slop pile for my LASAGNAAASA!!!! was shocked to discover that the 32oz of crushed tomatoes i always have in my pantry had disappeared and been replaced with a can of sliced pineapple (i must have used it & forgotten to buy more & then my brain glossed over the pineapple as a similar size and shape) so imagine my shock!! i had to improvise with two little 8oz cans of pasta sauce & all the tomato paste i had in reserve and my one single whole tomato to get a semblance of a sauce situation. there’s also a whole bin of mushrooms in there & some really old impossible sausage i had in the freezer. despite all this it tastes amazing. of course

notebook: 2021-2022

sooooooooooooooo i decided to upload every notebook i fill out to tumblr! my current one (2023-present) will be uploaded in mid-late 2025 probably, so this is my notebook from 2021-2022!

however: this was kind of a diary, i have drawings from friends in there that haven't consented to having them online, and one of the people who drew in it isn't someone i still speak to. as a result, i have blotted these things out for our privacy and my general comfort. if i notice something i've missed, i'll edit!
