This mornings solo dose experiment was completely unintentional. I ran out of the RSO yesterday and have been unable to smoke flower since getting sick, even the crumble I had yesterday was a little too much for my lungs. _ This Select Revive Lemon CBD pen from @select_cbd got me up and moving this morning without a cough. Took about 8-9 times of inhaling for 6 seconds and holding it in for 10-15 seconds but after about 20-25 minutes there was enough relief for me to get up and start some stretches. _ Funny thing is that when I went to @the_mint_az in Mesa to pick up a RSO this morning, Select had a rep there, still had the pen in my pocket, just used it before leaving home, and he hooked me up with all this cool stuff. This morning"s solo dose experiment is Alien OG RSO from @sublimebrands.v2 This is only my second RSO experiment and these are getting harder to do the more I find out what works. Going a full 8-9 hours with no medicating, slept for about 4 hours and woke up to my legs, head and back at solid 9's heading to 10 fast. 15-30 minutes - 9-10 overall, down to a 7 1 hour - down to 6 overall 1.5 hours - headache is down to a 3, Needles and Burning in leg - 2; Overall acute pain - 5 2 hours - everything feels about the same, was able to get up and do my stretches, I feel a bit slow starting my day. I'm guessing the difference between the way I feel as opposed to yesterday is probably based on strain? I'll look them up while I am at the shop today. Overall the RSO's seem to be working well, the difference between the two I've tried so far have been slight but noticeably different. This morning I tried 2 30mg Cannabis Infused Fruit Chews by @kushly.nation. These are very good, fruity with a slight flavor that doesn't taste like cannabis but doesn't not taste like it either. Almost like a new flavor all around. Today's solo dose experiment was a bit different, instead of keeping the dose constant with the other items I have tried, I went with a dose that seemed reasonable to work. I did not have much in the way of withdrawals but the headache, my knee and left leg were all about a 9-10 on the traditional pain scale, when I took these at 5:45am. By 6:00am I noticed the sharp edge of pain gone in all the places, down maybe 1 point. At 6:15am there was very little change but at around the 1 hour mark I had noticed a significant drop in the pain to the point I could get up and start my day. By the time my kids went to school at 7:30-7:45, my pain levels were down to about a 4-5 and holding. This morning's solo dose experiment was 2 25mg (25mg THC: 25mg CBD total) 1:1 34% Cacao squares by @haze_and_main_az I picked up yesterday at the suggestion of the budtender @the_mint_az in Mesa. The texture is smooth and these melt easily and quickly. I couldn't pick up any cannabis flavors which was nice because my headache was a solid 10 this morning (probably the junk food I ate for dinner). Took about an hour for the headache to fade to the point I could get up, eat my granola cereal with almond milk and do my stretches. It has been 3 hours at this point and my headache is down to a 3 and I don't feel the need to medicate otherwise. I'm still in a lot of pain in my leg and back but again I think it is a dosing issue. I am planning to change the dose and test a lot of these products because the withdrawals are significantly subsiding and now I am dealing more with the raw pain. Dinner was quick, smokey, delicious and in the end, smore'ly medicated. Cooked burgers for a late night dinner, no bun, just little sliders on iceberg lettuce, Roma tomatoes, muenster cheese and mustard with a few corn chips. Then some meditative time by the fire ended in placing this nice little 25mg piece of English Toffee THC chocolate by @haze_and_main_az on a nice warm, roasted, marshmallow cloud. The chocolate and toffee were really good together and even better, with the richness of the marshmallow; eating it in this manner there was zero discernable cannabis flavor. It's been about 2 hours since eating the chocolate as I'm posting this, the effects are mild but definitely noticeable. Today's solo dose experiment was a 10 mg Cucumber Serrano hard candy followed by a 10 mg Lavender Lemon hard candy from @sublimebrands.v2 that I picked up at @naturesmedicines.fh This brand has been consistent in its offerings and flavor combinations. The cucumber is strong but offsets the slight taste from the cannabis and the ever so slight spice from the serrano is a nice after taste and leads perfectly into the Lavender Lemon flavor. The lavender comes on really strong but at night and the early morning this is a good thing. I don't pick up any cannabis flavors at this point and within a few seconds the lavender fades and the lemon flavor comes through. After 30-35 minutes my headache went from a solid 9 to around a 4, on the traditional pain scale. Had 2 ml of @bakedbros_edibles THC Watermelon syrup for my solo dose experiment this morning. So far, this is the fastest acting of any of the "edibles" on my morning symptoms. Although I think I am going to group this with the tinctures because it works in a similar way. The flavor is strong but not intolerable and the sweetness of the syrup and aroma of watermelon go a long way to mask it. I had a 1ml dose last night but I smoked some Soul Mate with it and was fast asleep within 30 minutes. It has been about 20 minutes into the solo dose now and the muscle twitching has almost gone away, nausea is gone, headache is there but went from an 8-9 to an easy 4.
