I feel really bad for League of Geeks. They put out 2 stellar digital board games that fully make use of the computerized aspect but just can't find the marketing space to really promote their games, and thus have had to go through slews of layoffs only to shutter the company a few months after Solium Infernum gets released. Feels like some really talented developers and designers got shafted by the economy, I really hope they can find meaningful work elsewhere

It can one-shot everyone in the lobby and this Murmur has a teleporting spell to just drop it on all of our strongholds

There's gonna be a new Solium Infernum! If you're not familiar with the first one...well, that isn't hugely surprising, but you're missing out, it's great!

The concept is simple enough: Lucifer has vanished from Hell, and you're one of the lucky beasts setting out to replace him. In order to do so, you're going to have to take on the other contenders through strategic manuevering, vicious politicking, and if it comes to it, straight up combat-by-champion!

If you want to read more about it, the link has a pretty solid play report from multiple perspectives, and you can get a decent idea of the constant, inevitable clashing between everyone's schemes.

Anyway, I'm excited to see what happens with the new one!

The game is Solium Infernum. It's a shockingly lavish remake of a weird indie game where each player dukes it out for the throne of Hell. Re: Shogun, I haven't seen it, but it's on my list. I think the writer behind Blue Eye Samurai is involved, and that show was amazing.

Noah and I are on episode 3, and it is very interesting, although TBH my favorite thing is that the main white guy is, at first, canonically kept alive because he's a lolcow. Now he's actually useful but he still has tons of screaming fits, the latest being about respecting women.

I am a little disappointed that the obvious romance being set up won't involve cuckoldry because [TRUCK GOING BY], though. That's a little sad. The show is literally set IN JAPAN but we can't have a little NTR? Bruh.
