@shrimp-bird​ submitted: It’s a Pycnogonum stearnsi, Stearns’ sea spider, which I stumbled upon during a negative tide searching for nudibranchs, out in the air on a boulder, quite alive. If you want any additional info let me know, I’m glad you were interested in spite of it being marine. Thank you for the bug positivity.

I think the quality is actually quite good! I get many submissions that are just an indecipherable blur. This is an extremely good and lumpy friend. I don’t know nearly as much about sea spiders as I do about land chelicerates, but I’m always open to more arthropod facts if you wanna reblog this and add some!
