With the fall months moving in it meant a change of attire was in order. Of course considering everyone here didn't exactly have much time to prep for their little vacation meant having no attire to back up on. Normally that would prove to be a problem but with the plethora of stores out there all one needed was the right person for the job.
Which just so happened to be Camilla's specialty. But there was no fun in doing it alone, especially when she knew a particular individual who could potentially use some time away from whatever their duties were as well.
"So how about we get some clothes for the upcoming season? I didn't get to bring any of my coats along here and I'm sure you were in the same boat. The two of us are bound to find something for each other."

"...What's the trick?" Well now he's interested!!
"Well, just in case you really don't want to, make sure to say trick-or-treat when asking for candy."

⠀⠀⠀❛ ⠀Certainly, you should ! After all, clothes are part of anyone's first impression of you. You may as well have some say in the message they convey, no ? And from a less practical standpoint... the process of replenishing one's wardrobe is far more enjoyable when you have nothing but pieces that appeal to you.⠀ ❜ ⠀
"I've only ever been taught to be modest in what I wear, so I'm not familiar with the sentiment. Maybe it'd do me well to at least try to learn...it seems worth it when you put it like that."
#solecean#alas... i'll never be on her level... fashionably speaking we'll always be two ships passing in the night#except she's on a yacht and i'm on the shore way over there

The luxury of floating in waters and partied ventures to shores were a memory until the next year, a bittersweet counter. Each season provided their downsides to balance the temptation to wish for their hastened arrival — as comfortable as autumn would ride in, summer was a period of relaxation, full of life fading into sleepy whispers.
"We're lucky enough to have areas like the Swirling Gulf to travel and enjoy once our bodies adjust to the submerged conditions. Maybe a trip there would help with missing the business of the beaches now that they're quiet".
"Tell me about it...it's the perfect weather to catch a cold. Horrible weather for diving as well..so tumultuous. Summer is an agonizing season, but at least it leaves the waters nice and calm."

"Haha, right! My bad."
"My clan and I share the same goals, and in order to reach them, we need to be able to communicate. And that wouldn't work out if I was scary and imposing, yeah?" Came a casual shrug, "We're not here to exchange leadership styles, though, are we?"
"I'm quite the strategist, I'll have you know. Maybe being here was all part of my grand master plan or something."
"That...and I thought it would be good for me. You're so carefree, after all. How do you stay that way all while being someone of importance? Truthfully, it's difficult for me."

Often have people asked her of her opinions on her situation; on her stance. Never has one asked her about punishment— Her eyes widen, taking a breath in turn. "Hm.. Perhaps in a way, I do." Edelgard is taken away from her duties, one step closer to the victory she so sought. "I won't deny my mistakes. But, to completely tear me away from my efforts.. It feels as if I'm left to merely stew in my thoughts until I'm able to finish what I started."
A long blink, looking upwards. "I don't take this for granted, but.. I can't help and wonder if this is right. A second chance it may be, but how can I allow myself to feel that way?"
"Exactly. There's usually a reason for everything even if we aren't sure what it is at that moment. Maybe being here is a punishment to some, but I think I've come to find it as a sort of second chance. The mistakes you've made elsewhere don't apply here, for better or worse." She looks sad for a moment as she says that, but she's quick to brighten up just a little bit again. "What about you? Do you find being here is a punishment?"

"Ah, I'll keep that in mind. But... With cold noodles? Is that even good?" Maybe for a hot day, which is common in summer.
"Now that it's summer, that means time for beach fun. ... Where can I get watermelon?"

EVERY MOVEMENT SEEMS SO NATURAL, as if she were one with elements 一 whether it was wind or water, there was something fluid in it all. eye-catching, enough for his gaze to linger between herself, the fishes she has created, and his own teal dragon that seems at ease in her care. ❝ Indeed. Even if one is prepared for it, the consequences of another parting could be dangerous. ❞ a risk that he would rather avoid, whether stranger or comrade alike. her own approach on it seems harmless, intentions well and good, though he, himself, uncertain if he can agree fully when it comes to the one's behind the situation.
❝ I'd say your fish are far more harmless than my Qingloong, ❞ he mentions, arms crossing over his chest. ❝ Its roar in battle is enough to send fear into the enemy. But as it is now, it has no reason to roar. ❞
and when it came to these fish... perhaps there could be something hidden to them, yet he wouldn't know unless she revealed it. ❝ No. I don't find it like that. If anything, you could argue about me being too earnest. ❞ another lift of his fingers, conjuring a series of wind that now makes use of any excess water from her creations. each ripple ebbs the water into what seems like a sea of water, allowing it to seem that the herd of animals are now within their own element, all encouraged by a gentle breeze. ❝ For people to have thoughts like yours are the convictions I fight with on the battlefield. Even if right now is a dream, that doesn't make it foolish that people would like it to be a reality. They were once dreams of the departed that deserve to be honored for the people of tomorrow. ❞
Though still a little flustered at the initial awkwardness of their encounter, Kokomi eases once she sees that he's unfazed. She's always been uncomfortable around people, though less so lately. It can't be helped that she feels the need to coil back each time she's in the presence of another. This is remedied, however, when a creation of his own comes to greet her, and the priestess holds out her hand to guide it forward, fingers brushing against its essence.
Kokomi hums thoughtfully at his words. "It could, yes. Seeing a dearly departed comrade could cause more heartache if anything, for example." Index finger moves to scratch underneath the dragon's chin before it settles into coiling around her arm. "Why not something that could make you happy instead? A harmless thing, maybe. Something that would bring you peace."
"Like this little one," she's talking about the dragon, of course. "I can hardly see how it could cause any harm. Or these fish that I've created." Simple creatures such as these could hardly hurt a fly even if given the opportunity.
Soon enough, a jellyfish made of the same watery essence pops into existence, joining the small herd of animals. "…Though maybe you think me childish for being entertained by something so simple." even still, she can't help that things like these give her a content feeling.

searching for his sister? so then, she must be from a future where something happened... or there's another Teyvat where he takes Lumine's place instead, and given what Aether has heard in passing from residents of other worlds, either is just as likely. "that seems to be the case." but since he's the one that ended up here, she would probably never see the one she knows.
"if it means anything, it's still nice to have met you now." even though he isn't the same really. while he can't mention his identity, she may just as easily guess at any point unless his sister crosses paths with her before then and reveals it. "can I ask your name?"
Well, this is certainly awkward and leaves her with so many questions that she knows he wouldn't be able to give any answers to. "...I see."
"I do know you, or at least I thought I did. I knew a version of you that's different from you presently if I had to guess." Explaining it is probably only making him more uncomfortable, but the feeling is mutual at least. "You're Aether and yet...not. The one I knew was searching for his sister."

"...if that is true, then it isn't our place to deal with such matters." If dealing in, and with absolutes were strictly in the realm of the gods, then who was she to try the same? She had simply been one blessed with a vision; nothing more, nothing less.
Still, being without a definitive path and without her archon left Sara feeling uneasy, and would for some time.
"...you wish to keep in touch?" This took her by surprise, for she had assumed the priestess would want nothing to do with her outside of strictly work related matters.
"I won't object, but are you certain? I am...not easy to converse with."
"And it's okay to not know, to be uncertain is to be human--or tengu in your case. Only Gods deal in absolutes." Said absolutes having caused a whole deal of trouble for the entirety of Inazuma, but who's still dwelling on that? Certainly not her. Sara's uncertainty reminds her much of her own early days on this island, and how she's still searching for a purpose but attempting to live day by day to make the burden easier.
"Why don't we...keep in touch?" She realizes that this is a bit forward of her, and she goes on to elaborate her reasoning behind it, "I am one of the only people who happens to know what you're going through currently. We don't have to be friends, merely...acquaintances."
"Surely you can't object to that, can you?"

"I meant moreso in the helping me be stronger, but there's that too."
"It's what I do. I've got a pretty keen intuition. Besides, how is anyone ever supposed to learn if I keep these juicy little secrets all to myself?" Vaporeon would know where home is anyway. "Just consider this some sort of research expedition."
"Vaporeon..." A fitting name if she's ever heard one, creative, too. "Help you out...by ruining your sleep schedule, I assume?" She's joking, of course. "You're placing a lot of trust in someone you hardly know. I almost feel like I'm taking advantage of that kindness."

"You at least can't beat yourself up for not trying. You tried it, it's not your thing, and that's okay." Shockingly a sage statement from someone who was typically laid back and relaxed.
"It's not like these things happen too often."
"Don't get me wrong, this is hardly my own idea of fun." Up went one arm in defense, "I just know it's better to make allies, if I need help and I'm up Lake Verity...The help would be nice."
"...Though if I'm giving off stuffy vibes, I may need to reconsider this approach."
"Well, it's more like I always tell myself that I'm going to attend one of these large parties, but then I end up not going, and then I feel worse for it…" she mumbles that last part, almost as if she's ashamed for being so easily overwhelmed.
"And now that I'm here, and been swept off my feet in a not so great way, I'm wondering if this was actually a good idea after all. Plus…I'm not good with people." The only reason she felt sort of okay now was because of his familiarity keeping her grounded. But she'd rather not go into too much of a pity party, this was supposed to be fun. "Really...? I don't think I pinned you for being that type of person. Status and power matters to you, is that right? I've personally had enough of the stuffy types. I dealt with them enough on Watatsumi."

“Yep, agree to disagree! I find it easier to skip the reasons with people who already are whining about the murder anyway.” Shockingly, such people were very common, especially across the multiverse. There were a couple here who had been cool about it at least…she wished she’d gotten to be around them more before the eclipse had taken them. They take everyone who’s worth something in her life…
Much as this girl was unperturbed by her threat, Jinx was equally unperturbed by her proclamation of suspicion. “You know, I kinda prefer it that way. If you know someone doesn’t like or trust you, you don’t have to worry about liking or trusting them. Saves a loooot of trouble that comes when you find out that was a mistake.” The gun was stowed as lightning-fast as it had been drawn. “But if I went around shooting everyone at the first sign of disagreement…well, it’d be pretty lonely back home.”
"Because last I checked, murder is still murder even in self-defense. It's not something you should strive to commit unless entirely necessary, but I see that we'll have to agree to disagree." She'll ignore that comment about the stick, sighing it away. Kokomi doesn't flinch at having something so dangerous pointed at her, instead she just looks highly unamused. "...Right. Threatening me doesn't really solve anything either. If anything, you're just giving me more of a reason to be both suspicious and wary of you."

Given the fact he hadn't seen any native pokemon to this area, it'd only make sense for her to ask such a question. "Usually he's got a bit more foliage on him than this." Poor Leafeon... "Regardless, he's still my little buddy...Though, I can't say I really know anything to compare my pal here to. He's pretty unique if you ask me."
"Oh, no no. Getting lost is a waste of time." Here he goes...As usual starting off with his impatient rambles, "I'd consider this less getting lost and more of familiarizing myself with my surroundings. It'll ultimately make getting around much more effici-" At least he had the decency to stop himself in his tracks.
"...OkayImightbealittlelost."
It's true, technically they were the ones who were disturbing her now, but… "Well, this is technically a public place--albeit a bit off the beaten path…" A fact she'd made note of when coming here. As far as she knew, no one else knew about this tiny little pond until now. Kokomi rests her chin in her hands as she looks up at him and then turns her gaze toward his very fluffy partner.
"What sort of creature is he anyway?" It seems like a fair question, seeing as she's never seen a creature roaming around here. And he looks harmless enough, though she knew better than to judge by looks alone. Plus, if she had to hazard a guess, he must mean that both of them are relatively new to the city. "You both seem…lost. You more than him."
