18. How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire?

Hotch and JJ: It's not that I necessarily ship them, but I love their dynamic and admire the respect Hotch has for JJ.

Hotch and JJ have a deep understanding of one another due to the fact that they have been the only parents for some time. It could have been very easy for Hotch to view JJ differently for being a mother and her choices, but he doesn't. He treats her equally, and I believe he respected her all the more, knowing she was able to put herself in so many difficult situations/choices/etc. despite being a mother. He knew firsthand what that was like.

I also feel like, knowing psychologically the importance of a mother in a child's life and witnessing Haley's role as a mother(and sadly, missing piece soon after), he could see just how much harder JJ might have had it than he did at times. I think, given Hotch's characterization (and unrelated to Hotch, but the way the writers tended to be pretty sexist at times), he could have gone a completely other direction with his relationship with JJ once she became a mother.

A close second would be Hotch and Derek--but I could go on and on about that.

19. How about a relationship they have in canon that you don't like?

I did not love Hotch and Beth. Not because I am a bitter Hotch lover, but more the lack of chemistry I felt from them. Each time they were together, it felt like I was missing a piece as a viewer. Then, when she leaves, I know this was based on the fact that the actress moved on to Scandal, but I have a lot of issues with how Hotch went from dreaming about Haley's approval for Beth to him just seemingly being okay to parting ways because of her job. I blame the writing on this one, but it did not make the Hotch and Beth relationship as enjoyable to watch as it should have been for Hotch lovers!

5. Guilty Pleasures?

I have 0 shame 99.9% of the time and never really feel guilty about these things, but a few things I can think of that societally are judged upon: selfies, flirting with random people, and drinking alone (and not in a sad/unhealthy way, but in a way that I come home from work and I love silence and a glass of wine kinda way once in a blue moon).

25. What's a controversial opinion you have?

I hate that this comes off as really political, especially living in the US, but working at a university, I feel this even more strongly than ever before. I wish that continuing your education was not so expensive.
