May I ask for Solace x Hernia, please?

The life of an El Master is always busy. 

Just after Ebalon finishes his night shift, Perrihart finds himself running to the library to grab a book for Ebalon, getting sent back to return it upon finding out it’s the wrong one, and then going back yet again after Denif chews them out for “bad work habits”. 

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that he’s the youngest one on the job. Perrihart doesn’t know, and frankly, he doesn’t have time to know.

Ventus stops him before lunch to ask him to buy some sandwiches for the group, and Gaia asks him to pick up a coffee after he returns with the sandwiches. By the time he’s back with coffee, though, Rosso has already inhaled most of the sandwiches, quite unapologetically.

There’s more general chaos after lunch. A river in Bethma exploded, creating a waterfall that the people of the world below have taken to calling Bethagara Falls. Hamel is facing another coming tsunami - Perrihart glares particularly hard at Ebalon for this. And of course, Ruben is suffering from the harsh sunlight that only Perrihart can control.

Perrihart groans and begins manipulating the ancient arcane magic that moves the sky, slowly shifting the world from light to dark. Finally, his shift for the day is over. Ebalon comes back in, and Perrihart slinks out to the chamber of the El, ready to see his Lady.

Harnier smiles brightly as Perrihart walks into her chamber, where the heart of the El resides. “Welcome back, Perrihart,” she greets, reaching for his face and pressing a soft kiss to his lips. “How was your day?”

“Terrible,” he admits, “but at least I’m with you.”

From his bag, he retrieves a single packaged item and hands it to her.

“Do you want to share?”

Perrihart spends his free shift eating the last sandwich with Harnier, completely forgetting that he needs sleep, but it’s totally worth it.

I need a way to kill Solace in Phase 2 within the remaining seconds... But... How... I need that Nocturn of Hernia!

Hello Anon, this one is a bit difficult to answer but here are some general tips and advice we can offer you:

If you can, try to set up a pre-made party so that everyone knows what to do, and you aren’t dealing with the chaos of random queue members. Coordination is key.

Light orbs are great to bring as they heal everyone periodically. Try to get everyone in your party to bring light orbs and alternate between tossing them.

Avoid heavy damaging burst-type skills if you can. Solace reflects all attacks back to their dealer, so it is very easy to die if you use a strong skill. Multi-hitting weaker skills are ideal as they give chip away health and give you time to recover.

Try not to focus on regular Z/X attacks too much. You’ll want to unload as many skills as you can before Solace reaches his knockdown limit and escapes.

If you can afford one, an extended quick slot greatly helps. Make sure to bring plenty of healing items. Consumables that can heal a large amount of health and mana are ideal (Complete Recovery Potions, Organic Apples, Advanced Vitality Potions, etc.)

Similarly, as Solace is completely immune to debuffs, don’t worry about bringing items such as water orbs or wind orbs.

Although a bit unpleasant to say, having a strong weapon definitely makes the fight easier. Similarly, make sure to invest in your critical and maximize stats to fully maximize your damage output.

Make sure everyone in the party understands their role, and how to counter Solace’s attacks and Judgement skills. Every player death in phase 2 heals Solace by roughly 2 bars, so it is important that everyone stays alive.

Watch videos of how others fight him. You might be able to learn something beneficial!

And of course, keep trying and don’t give up! The Nocturne of Harnier is very rare, but it will drop. You can do this!

“Harnier…!” Solace whispers as he watches Harnier open her eyes. It’s been so long since he saw her light blue eyes open. It was centuries after he took her to Adrian after his plan to take her away had succeeded. Now, he can finally talk to her.

“Perri…hart?” she murmurs hoarsely, placing her shaking hand onto his cheeks. “What happened? I thought…I thought Lady Ishmael took me…”

Solace shakes his head and hugs her tightly. “That night, I took you away before the ceremony could finish. I really didn’t want you to disappear from my eyes because I want you to stay by my side.”

Harnier smiles slowly and returns his hug. “I’m back Perrihart.”

“I know….I know.” He smiles widely, burying his face onto her neck.

“Iknew young'uns got up to stuff that’s not safe to talk about at work,but this didn’t cross my mind when imagining those scenarios,” heteased.  Solace and Ebalon both stared.

Rossoshot fingerguns at them both, grinned, and ran.

Harnier hums merrily, picking up the flowers to create the perfect crown for Solace. Solace, on the other hand, waited for her within an shaded area. 

They are in a field which is located outside of their home, but close enough to sneak back in without getting caught. Solace asked her why she didn’t do this in the gardens and Harnier told him that it felt cramped there.

“Harnier, are you going to be done?” Solace grumbles out.

“Yes! Just a little more…” Harnier raises the complete flower crown in victory. “Done!” She runs over to Solace and places it on his head gently. 

Solace blushes lightly. “It’s really…well made…”

“Do you like it?”

“If its made by you…then yes.”

Harnier giggles in excitement and ran off deep into the fields to collect more flowers. 

Solace could only watch her contently.

Who’s more obsessed? Solace or Ain?

Perihart Solace is obsessed with Harnier so much that for Harnier, he

kills his own family member,

is willing to abandon his own family,

is willing to throw the balance of the world off,

becomes something he never gave a shit about,

comes up with a way for the world to live without the El - something no one has ever done for centuries - in just a couple of years,

fights 5 other Masters + army of priests and wins

travels to another dimension to preserve her comatose body

singlehandedly stops meteor shower in exchange for that technology

literally takes over the heart of Elysion

creates a diceon device to replicate the original Giant El with el energy so vast that those who felt the original El’s wave before recognizes it as similar energy howthefuck so we won’t have to sacrifice anyone ever again

Final Score: Get a life Solace, life is about more than just one girl

Ainchase Ishmael is obsessed with Elsword so much that for Elsword, he

sticks up for Elsword even though clearly, he’s done nothing good,

calls everyone by their stereotypical nickname BUT Elsword’s,

looks for Elsword as the first thing he cares about in times of emergency,

makes it clear that he didn’t give a shit about anyone else when the airship fell and was only concerned about Elsword’s safety,

is determined to help Elsword become stronger,

goes out of his way to make sure he is unharmed,

is anxious to be by Elsword’s side as often as possible,

I understand this is for his own survival but the way he frantically tries to be by his side all the time is an obsessive behavior in my eyes lol - and why are you taking this seriously

frantically tries to stop Elsword from trying to handle all the demons by himself,

gets angry at Elsword for risking his life and not cherishing it,

apologizes to Elsword for not being much of a help

now, if you know how much of an asshole he can be to everyone else, this is a noteworthy point

becomes extremely wary of strangers getting close to Elsword claiming to be his help

becomes extremely depressed that Elsword does not need his help anymore

lets Elsword decide the fate of the world and his existence

I know Ain doesn’t have much choice in this but when was the last time you showed this much faith and conviction in a person

And he literally tries to move heaven and earth for Harnier’s sake. You can even say that from the moment he realized Harnier is a Rubenian like himself, his entire reason for living is to make sure Harnier is safe. Nobody can get on Solace’s level when it comes to unhealthy obsession with the one he cares about.

You know what really sucks about Perihart x Harnier

Harnier lost some of her memories because of the Giant El and it was one of the major reasons why she didn’t choose to run away with Perihart when he told her there’s a way for her to escape her fate without putting entire Elrios in danger; she wouldn’t even remember Perihart even if they do run away together.

but she was also losing her emotions

Happiness? Joy? Sadness? Fear?

LOVE?

No memories... or emotions left for Perihart...?

She was literally on the road to being an empty shell of herself. What if even after Solace saves her and Harnier wakes up from her coma, she doesn’t have anything left for him? I know she asked Elsword to help Solace... briefly, but. I just can’t help but continue thinking about how tragic it is for Solace, to have someone whom you cherish more than anything in the world to forget about you and have no feelings for you whatsoever.  

I also did a 3 simple spread tarot reading for Harnier earlier this month and these 3 were her cards for Situation, Action and Outcome.

I’ve had a hard time trying to understand these because um... This sounds like her past...? Or what happened to her already? What was the most concerning was her Outcome card, which was Ten of Wands @_@;;;;;;;;;;;;

Situation: Page of Wands

Creative, passionate, confident, assured and assertive. A messenger.

Action: XIV Death

Closing the door to the past and opening a new one, going through transition, changing status, shedding the old and excess, inexorable forces and sweeping changes.

Perihart and Harnier are portrayed as step siblings in NA

how do you guys feel about that lol

I mean my first impression of Perihart x Harnier was ummm

“omg are they trying to make it super obvious that they want solace and harnier to look like elsword and elesis???”

but the entire “Solace Family” thing was a bit too... how do I say it, broad?

가문 definitely means family but the soldiers of Solace Family definitely, yes, belong in the ownership of the Solace Family but I dont think the actual members of Solace family regards them as... families. 

Do you see what I mean?

Maids and butlers and workers of the household belong in the family they work for but they wouldn’t be considered part of the actual family...

That’s how I interpreted Harnier’s position in the Solace family.

If she was an actual step-sibling of Perihart,

Soldiers would think at least twice about hurting her even with direct order from the oldest son in the Solace Family.

and Harnier wouldn’t call Sigmund or Perihart “Lord Sigmund” or “Lord Perihart” (before Perihart tells her to stop calling him that).

That’s why I chose to translate 솔레스 가문 as House of Solace. Not Solace Family, 

because I felt like House of Solace could cover broad meanings and... include stuff like this. I think Harnier’s position in the House of Solace was pretty low... and definitely not in the same status as Perihart or Sigmund...

Now that I think about it, I think it’s more of like... a clan than a family...??? It’s a clan, right????

Even the method of bringing her into the “family” was a bit strange. They made it sound like they recruited her off of the ruins of battlefield. They saw the potential in young Harnier and recruited her into the family (for their own benefit, mainly, probably killing her for her power). They didn’t adopt her as their daughter. Because she certainly was not treated like a daughter.

Here’s another evidence that makes me think that Harnier was never accepted into the Solace “clan” as a daughter:

Perihart himself was bullied by his older brothers because he was deemed illegitimate son of his father. His mother was not the first and “legal” wife of his father. 

So you think they would let a complete stranger off the street enter the family as a daughter...? Daughter? Of the great Solace clan?

I would talk about how Sigmund tries to kill Harnier like it’s nothing, but Perihart killed Sigmund and we never know if he ever got in trouble for that... but as far as we know, Solace clan (or other Masters’ clans) might have condoned such behavior to produce a strong successor to the Master position...

I can settle the dispute and submit a ticket to KR Elsword asking if Harnier and Solace are siblings (step or whatever) or Harnier was just a member of the House but not an actual family 8D

Solace and Ventus on a date？Hanier had given crappy advices to Solace and he follow all of them. Flufffffff please！！

Harnier had told Solace to do three things on this date.  Even walking with Ventus now, Solace’s heart felt like it was about to break his ribs with nervousness.  He tried to calm down.

Step one: Be flirtatious.

“Hey Ventus,” he said before he lost his nerve, turning to his date and shaping his hands into fingerguns.  “Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?”

He winked.

Ventus stared at him for a good three seconds.

Good Ishmael, Solace’s palms felt sweaty.  Could he wipe them off?  No, that would be lame.  Keep eye contact, keep eye contact-

“I’m an elf, not a Celestial.”  Ventus finally laughed.  It was a rather puzzled laugh, though.  “I don’t come from any godly realm.”

“Yeah, yeah, I know.  I just-”

“But if you were trying to compliment me, you need to work on it.”  Ventus saved Solace from his own babbling ineptitude as he draped an arm over the younger Master’s shoulders.  “Here, try-”

And with a twist of his fingers, there was a flower in his hand, and where the fuck had he gotten a flower what the hell.

“Of all the stars in the sky, you’re the brightest,” Ventus purred.  Solace took the flower.

“Oh.  ‘Cause I’m the Master of the Sun, and the Sun is a star-”

“Yes, congratulations on explaining the pickup line.”

Solace could feel himself blush.

They’d decided to forgo a restaurant, since two El Masters out on a date would start gossip circulating and neither of them wanted to deal with Denif being bitchy.  So as the moon rose, Ventus and Solace ducked out of its light (Ebalon could be just as bitchy as Denif) and into the cool shade of a forest.

Step two, Solace thought, reaching hesitantly for Ventus’ hand and lacing his fingers with the elf’s long ones.  Don’t let anyone else in on your date.

Ventus looked up at the sky.  Solace hesitated, glancing back at him, admiring the glint of silver light off his mismatched eyes.

“Crap,” Ventus said mildly.  “Lincy’s looking for me.  Hang on-”

Solace didn’t let go of Ventus’ hand.  Ventus looked at him, mildly annoyed.

“Solace.  I need to see if Lincy’s okay.”

“You don’t want to spend the rest of our date with me?”  Solace didn’t intend for that to sound whiny, so he flinched immediately when the sentence came out that way.  Shit.  Time to backpedal.  “Not that your duties as Wind Master aren’t important or anything, I just, uh-”

Ventus stared at him again.  Solace shut himself up and dropped Ventus’ hand, feeling awful.

“I.  Um.  Sorry.”

He couldn’t face Ventus’ gaze, so he looked at the ground instead, doing something Gaia would yell at him for and kicking a tree root.  Then Ventus sighed and pulled him close.

“No, no, sorry,” he said quietly into Solace’s ear.  “I forgot.  It’s been a long time since I’ve been on a date.”

“How long?” Solace dared to ask.  Ventus laughed.

“Last time I dated, you weren’t born.”

“Reassuring.”

Ventus laughed again.  Solace hesitatingly lifted his hands and hugged Ventus back, smoothing his palms up that toned back and feeling the soft ridges of his tattoos.

Ventus pulled back a bit.  Solace froze, afraid he’d done something wrong, until he realized Ventus was looking at him with an almost tender expression.  It was… nice, to be looked at this way.

Solace smiled.

“Is there something on my face?” he teased.  Ventus startled, then grinned, one hand sliding down Solace’s back to rest just above his butt.

“Your mouth.  And I really, really want to kiss it right now.”

Shit.  Shit. Now Solace was blushing again.  And then Ventus was laughing, and there were soft lips on his, and he was kissing Ventus back as they hid from the moon and the gentle breeze whispered around them.

Well, Harnier had said to kiss Ventus sometime on this date.

Apparently, that was the only thing that worked.
