Abbie was not with S during Oscar week 2015. Abbie went to OL premiere in NYC in March. That might be why there’s no picture.
I got this Anon last week, but hadn't had time to answer it. I had to go find old screencaps. Here we go! Anon, you're WRONG on all of it.
I know this with 100 % certainty because in 2015, I had a LOT of sources.
Here's what happened...
In February of 2015, Sam's then girlfriend, Abbie Salt posted a picture of herself from the balcony of her hotel room in Los Angeles. The London Hotel West Hollywood. We no longer have the picture because Abbie scrubbed her Instagram of all traces of when she was dating Sam due to so may Extreme Shipper trolls harassing her. But this is my recollection of what the pic looked like. The picture was of Abbie on a hotel room balcony, with her back to the camera, a bit of a side profile, so it was clear it was her, looking out over Los Angeles. The person taking the picture was much taller than Abbie, given the angle of the picture. I knew it was the London Hotel West Hollywood because it was very distinctive balconies with black rod iron, with a certain design.
Then around the same dates, 'lo and behold, Mr. Sam Heughan posts on his Facebook a picture FROM The London Hotel West Hollywood! I've been to that hotel for a few wedding receptions, so I know THAT view. But, below, on the right, is proof of the view from that side of the building, facing West, as well as the distinctive balcony with black rod iron. 👇
Tumblr media
So, why was Sam in L.A. in February of 2015? Well, it was Oscars time, and the week before the Oscars, the night before, and the night of, there are LOTS of industry parties. Celebs who may not even be nominated or attending the Academy Awards ceremony still go to the parties to see and be seen. Here's the date of the Oscars in 2015. 👇
Tumblr media
On February 21, 2015, the night before the Oscars, a fan got a pic with Sam. Here is the pic. I whited out the fan so she doesn't get harassed. She is the one that CONFIRMED to me that the pic was taken outside The London Hotel West Hollywood AND that Sam was with a very pretty petite brunette with an English accent aka Abbie Salt. The fan told me that Abbie was super nice and even offered to take their pic. I can't remember if this pic is the one Abbie took or if this is a selfie before Abbie offered to take the pic. But, regardless, this fan CONFIRMED Sam was with Abbie in L.A. and she also said they were going into the hotel together. If I recall correctly, Sam told her they were running late or they had missed the British Party at the hotel. 👇
Tumblr media
The pic the fan took with Sam was at night time and the British party was from 4:00-7:00 PM, so it totally could be that Sam and Abbie missed it. But, again, that fan info gave 100% PROOF that Sam was with Abbie in L.A. on Oscars weekend and they were staying at The London Hotel West Hollywood.
Tumblr media
Fast forward to the Outlander mid-season premiere in New York, which was held on April 1, 2015, not in March, Anon. 👇
Tumblr media
Well, guess who, posted pics of Central Park in New York, at the same time? Yep, Ms. Abbie Salt. Again, all those pics are gone. But she definitely posted she was in New York. Here's someone Tweeting me on my old Twitter account CONFIRMING said information. 👇
Tumblr media
Soooo, we all assumed Abbie would show up to the Outlander premiere after party. But, nope, Sam kept their relationship under wraps and Abbie WAS NOT at the premiere or after party. Cait DID take her then boyfriend, Tony McGill to BOTH the premiere and after party, as I've posted eyewitness account and pics in the past. As for Abbie, she WAS in New York waiting for Sam to be done with Outlander stuff so they could go on vacation together. Where did they go, you ask?
They went from New York to Miami first. To members only, Miami Soho Beach House. How do we know WHERE they were? A Miami source, who had connections, CONFIRMED Sam and Abbie stayed there for a few days. Here are some Tweets from back in the day. And also, Sam later confirming he'd been to Miami. 👇
Tumblr media
After spending a couple of days in Miami, Sam and Abbie flew to Barbados for a longer vacation and some sun, sea, and relaxation. This was the height of Extreme Shipper bullshit and bullying. They tried to convince their minions that the trip to Barbados was a friends trip, and that Sam had "tagged along last minute" with Abbie because someone else had bailed out. WRONG AGAIN. A convo Sam had on Facebook with a friend surfaced that PROVED that Sam and Abbie planned their April 2015 Barbados trip months ahead of time, at least since February 2015. 👇
Tumblr media
So, after we got CONFIRMATION that Sam and Abbie had been in New York together, in Miami together, we wondered where they were heading to next. Weeeelll, Abbie posted from Barbados (again those pics are gone). But here's a Tweet from people Tweeting me on my old Twitter account, CONFIRMING this info. 👇
Tumblr media
I was then told by a source that, of course, Sam was with her. Extreme Shippers frothed and harassed, and bullied Abbie and anyone talking about Sam being with Abbie in Barbados, including me. They made my life HELL. Well, 'lo and behold (I love saying that hahaha), Sam's driver, Davie posted Sam had brought him back a bottle of rum....FROM BARBADOS. Extreme Shippers heads exploded and they harassed Davie, to the point that he deleted his pic of the rum bottle. But here's a fan tweeting both Sam and Davie about it. And, more importantly, here is SAM HIMSELF CONFIRMING HE WAS IN BARBADOS. Extreme Shippers lost their damn minds when that happened and fandom pandemonium ensued.
👇
Tumblr media
So, that's all, folks, fandom history lesson is over...for now. 👩‍🏫😘

Note
I wonder why he's in Miami so long? I mean, I don't want to point out the obvious he only took short trips with the victorian, but clearly he is having a good time on this vacay to stay longer than a few days. 😎
Someone mentioned he might be networking! The Soho Beach House is a very exclusive five star hotel that you have to apply to be a member of.

Page 4: Sparks are flying between Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt on the set of their new action movie Bullet Train and not just when the cameras are rolling -- their chemistry is through the roof and Sandra lights up whenever she's around Brad and some of the cast and crew could swear they've seen him blushing in her presence -- Brad and Sandra have been hanging out more than your typical costars and they have a lot in common and seem to really enjoy each other's company and they'll frequently spend their breaks socializing and they can often be heard laughing over each other's stories and topics of conversations range from mutual friends and house repairs to more personal stuff, like kids
Page 6: Bruce Willis turned 66 on March 19 and as he celebrates the occasion, he has been reflecting on his life and it's been quite the journey but Bruce looks back at it all with that classic smirk
Page 7: Producers of the Gossip Girl reboot have been begging Blake Lively to join the cast of the new show but she's turned up her nose at the idea -- she's not ungrateful, because the original show made her star, but she closed the book on that part of her life a long time ago -- she's blissfully content in her role as a mom to daughters James, Inez and Betty whom she shares with her husband Ryan Reynolds and being a stay-at-home parent and filming an occasional movie sounds way more appealing to her than returning to that hothouse Gossip Girl universe -- she says she had her show and wants the new team to have theirs, but to die-hard fans, it still feels like a major snub
* After calling it quits on her romance with Ben Affleck in January, Ana de Armas is ready to play the field and Hollywood's heartthrob du jour, Rege-Jean Page has caught her eye and she was over the moon when the Bridgerton hunk recently signed on to her new thriller The Gray, which also stars Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans -- of course, Rege is gorgeous, but Ana also likes that he isn't your typical Tinseltown success story and comes from a rich cultural background, just like she does and she's hoping to get to know him better once they start shooting in L.A. -- while Ana has been warned that won't sit well with Rege's live-in girlfriend, Emily Brown, that doesn't seem to bother Ana
* Janet Jackson's life story is set to get the full documentary treatment next year, and no stone will be left unturned when it comes to her famously dysfunctional family -- the family is freaking out, as well they should be -- Janet will be brutally honest about her late father Joe Jackson, who bullied her and made her feel like she was nothing with out him but her siblings say they had it much worse especially when it came to Michael Jackson, who suffered verbal and physical abuse from Joe throughout his childhood -- Janet, who became a mom at 50 with her businessman ex, Wissam Al Mana, is also ready to tell all about their divorce and custody battle -- doing this documentary has been incredibly cathartic for her and she can't wait to shed light on her family's deep, dark secrets
Page 8: Angelina Jolie has been legally single for two years, and now she's finally ready to mingle -- she's been laying low since her 2016 split from Brad Pitt and she's feels it's time to get out there and she's eager to meet some new and interesting men and the mom of six is open to being hooked up by Hollywood pals like Ellen Pompeo, whom she was seen dining with in Beverly Hills and Angie likes the idea of dating a fellow A-lister who can relate to her about living in the spotlight and Ellen's been helping out with suggestions -- Angie is even open to joining an elite dating service and now the hunt is on to find a suitable bunch of candidates -- she wants fun and adventure again and after months of just being Mom, dressing up, putting on some perfume and engaging in stimulating conversation sounds good to Angie
* It's only been six months since Drew Barrymore launched her chirpy daytime talk show, but behind the scenes, she's on the verge of a major meltdown -- the multitasking mom who shares daughters Olive and Frankie with ex-hubby Will Kopelman, has no idea that juggling work and family would be this hard and she's feeling pressure from every side -- she desperately wants to be there for the kids, but she's trying to make her show a hit, and with her production company, she has a million others things on her plate as well -- the stressed-out star has also been chowing down on junk food and drinking too much caffeine so she can't get more than a few hours of sleep a night -- Drew doesn't want to let anyone down, but if she doesn't dial it back, she's going to collapse from exhaustion
* Matthew Perry announced his engagement to his on-off girlfriend Molly Hurwitz in November, but he seems to be having second thoughts -- he's crazy in love, but he's scared of messing up a good thing by making things official and he also worries what kind of husband he'll make given his health woes and battles with addiction -- Molly has faith in Matthew, but she can see wedding planning is stressing him out, even more so now that the Friends reunion is set to start shooting and he's pushing himself to go through with it, but his doubts are gnawing away at him

Page 21: Alessandra Ambrosio caught up with a pal while walking dogs in L.A., David Harbour eating a treat while out and about in NYC, Daisy Ridley stopped by The Graham Norton Show in London
Page 22: Amelia Gray Hamlin and boyfriend Scott Disick caught some rays while vacationing in Miami, Katie Holmes and boyfriend Emilio Vitolo Jr. color-coordinated their gray-and-black outfits for a lunch date in NYC, Rebel Wilson taking a walk around the neighborhood in L.A.
Page 24: While on the set of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Rachel Brosnahan shielded herself with a see-through umbrella, a newly brunette Lady Gaga in a white suit as she left her hotel in Rome to film the upcoming Gucci biopic, The Masked Singer panelist Jenny McCarthy gave herself a last-minute touch-up before posing for some promo shots
Page 26: Inside My Home -- Chelsea Handler's sleek setup -- she is checking out of her longtime L.A. home
Page 28: In 2009, LeAnn Rimes made headlines when she was caught hooking up with her costar Eddie Cibrian while they were both married to other people and now, more than a decade later, she is opening up about that time in her life and spilling secrets that she's never shared before -- looking back, LeAnn thinks it's unfair that she got raked over the coals like that and the public shaming caused her to suffer panic attacks and all LeAnn did was fall in love -- of course, there are likely big regrets about the way everything happened, but she and Eddie never meant to hurt anyone and they just had this connection they couldn't walk away from and a few months after their romance was revealed LeAnn parted ways with then-husband Dean Sheremet and Eddie filed for divorce from Brandi Glanville and they wed in 2011 -- while LeAnn has been a great stepmom to Eddie's sons Mason and Jack, she'd love to have a child of her own someday and she and Eddie have tried and tried with no success and now that she's pushing 40, they know time is ticking and they could always go the surrogate route, and they just might do it if it doesn't happen naturally in the next few months
Page 29: Liam Hemsworth has been dating Gabriella Brooks for 15 months, and he's so smitten that he could put a ring on it any day now -- Liam's made it clear that he's ready to walk down the aisle again after calling it quits in longtime love Miley Cyrus in 2019 -- everyone is thrilled because Gabriella is so sweet and easygoing, which is just what Liam needs -- Gabriella has already gotten the stamp of approval from the Hemsworth clan, who had long been skeptical of Miley and when Liam brought Gabriella home, his parents thought, that's more like it -- now that Liam's settled in at his new $5 million spread on Byron Bay, all signs point to him popping the question because he's never been happier
* Shedding post-pregnancy weight is never easy but luckily Katy Perry has a secret weapon to help her get back in shape which is Orlando Bloom -- Katy had already dropped 35 pounds since giving birth to the couple's first child, Daisy Dove, thanks to her fitness-obsessed fiance and Orlando has her eating five small vegan meals a day and he follows the same diet to make it easier for her, and Orlando makes sure she hikes or swims at least five days a week and those are the type for fun activities where he can join her -- Orlando's also her biggest cheerleader: during their recent Hawaiian getaway, Katy was nervous because she felt she hadn't lost enough weight but Orlando told her she was one sexy momma and he really is her biggest supporter
* Despite the pandemic, Nicole Kidman's remained one of the busiest women in Hollywood, which is getting under her stuck-at-home husband's skin -- while Keith Urban was forced to cancel his concert tour last year, Nicole had a whirlwind 2020, shooting her miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers in Australia and her historical thriller The Northman in Northern Ireland back-to-back and it's been incredibly hard on Keith because it drives him crazy not being able to get out there on stage -- Nicole hates seeing him the dumps, but she's told him he's lucky to be able to spend so much time with their daughters Sunday and Faith -- with Nicole set to play comedy legend Lucille Ball in Being the Ricardos, which starts filming this spring, that can only put more stress on the marriage but Nicole has no plans to slow down, and she's not making any apologies
Page 30: Patrick Duffy and Linda Purl went from zero to 60 practically overnight, but their turbo-charged romance appears to be slowing down -- ever since Patrick and Linda reconnected last summer, the late-in-life lovebirds have been joined at the hip at Linda's Colorado home, where things have gotten too close for comfort because Patrick's a laid-back guy, but he hasn't had a moment to himself because Linda is always pushing him to get outdoors and do stuff with her and Patrick feels the need for more space and some along time -- spending every moment together and hanging on each other's every word was fun for a while, but they don't want to lose their independence and they realize they need to bring their relationship back down to earth if they actually want to go the distance
* After nearly five blissful years together, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are still going strong, and it looks like a baby could be in their near future -- Sam recently sent tongues wagging when he revealed that he wants to take their relationship to the next step and be a young dad and Britney is totally on board because she has always wanted another child and now with Sam raring to go, she figures it's the perfect time -- growing her family would be a welcome distraction from Britney's bitter battle with her father Jamie Spears over her controversial conservatorship
* Love Bites -- Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Zack Carpinello engaged, Morena Baccarin and husband Ben McKenzie welcomed a son named Arthur, Nicolas Cage and Riko Shibata married
Page 32: Cover Story -- Palace in Crisis -- the Royal Family is in disarray following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's bombshell tell-all -- what really offended them was how much Harry and Meghan said they love Queen Elizabeth in one sentence and attacked the institution, everything she stands for and works for, in the next -- it's going to take a miracle for Harry to reconcile with his family after what he and Meghan revealed
Page 36: Celebrity Hall Passes -- stars reveal the Hollywood crushes their partners have granted as freebies -- Eric Decker gets Jessica Alba and his wife Jessie James Decker gets Post Malone
Page 37: Lisa Vanderpump gets George Clooney, Seth Rogen gets Charlize Theron while his wife Lauren Miller gets Brad Pitt, Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa both get Cynthia Bailey
Page 38: Taron Egerton gets Rachel Weisz while his girlfriend Emily Thomas gets Daniel Craig, Kyle Richards wouldn't let her husband Mauricio Umansky near Eva Longoria or Demi Moore but he gets a hall pass for Betty White, Beau Clark gets Bethenny Frankel while wife Stassi Schroeder gets Joaquin Phoenix

Funny you don’t think she’d be living there with him. 😂😂😂 - Well, if she gets freebies at his old address? Still? Count 2+2, K. Something does not fit here. This industrial house has been probably changed into stuff building, like record studio, etc. Or even he has rent this property... can we search it somehow? That's why she had pics from there, and yet, he is telling in the interview that he does not live there... since how long? She is present at his life BUT... I have suspicions NOW.
You do know that freebies can be sent anywhere, right?
I knew I saved this pic from CB for a reason!
Tumblr media
Look at the address label.

Xmas Message For 2019
And here we go, my 19th annual year-end love letter online …Georgi Balinov and I rang in the new year at a giant party in Bangkok, halfway around the world. That foreign location, its beauty and tastes, set the tone for my 2019, a year of seeing the world, while stabilizing my life. Though often in flux or movement, 2019 was a year many things normalized over the year.
In January, almost immediately after arriving stateside, I crossed the pond and saw Michelle Visage perform in the West End with Peter Wish. Afterward, I played with her wigs backstage and walked her towards the queer kids lining up for selfies and autographs. I am very lucky to have Peter and Michelle in my life, kindred spirits both. One reminding me that fame, fortune, ebb, and flow, but that being real is what matters most. The other, a reminder to stay forever young. I visited Berlin yet again and did the usual, working, and playing, hard.
February appeared and I traveled to Philadelphia with Sandra Hansel, Georgi, George Sapio, and Anthony DeFilippis. We toured Lisa Roberts’ house, saw a Dieter Rams exhibit, dined with George Alley. In Lambertville, that Sunday, I bought vinyl and vintage hats. Later that month, I got a swallow tattooed on my hand, a symbol of flight and travel, and Warhol’s knives, blackened into my shin. An Eames exhibit in Oakland was a sweet way to end the month.
In March with my crew, Georgi, Khadyon Reid, Luis Urribarri, Anthony, and George, descended upon Salvador for Carnival. It was insane! I watched Anitta live, and danced in a sea of pushing, fighting, kissing Brazilians for days upon days. I felt unsafe and alive, threatened and excited. It was intense. Back home I got my other hand tattooed, again honoring my love of seeing the world. I traveled to Portland, came back to NYC at the end of the month, finally moving into our apartment, the one we bought 1.5 years before, that I designed, and had renovated head to toe. Finally, we had our dream home. The weekend we moved in, the place was still not ready, but we were sick of living without our things and in other people’s beds. Peg Kendall and Georgi’s mom came, and we worked our asses off unpacking and starting to make the 2800 square foot loft on west 13th street a home. We’d lived in Airbnbs and friends’ places for 19 months and it was tiring not having a home, not having most of our things. My art! My toys! My shoes!. Those months taught me how important a home, a safe place, and the oasis of my collections is to my mental health. From March on I felt more on solid ground and dedicated more energy to my career and friendships as a result.
In April we went to Coachella, seeing Ian and Jose Seronni, JJ and Andrey Lunin, and dancing in the desert of California. Multiple trips to San Francisco, catching glimpse of old friends, scaling my team at work, as I took on more and more responsibility.
In May, George Sapio and I celebrated (me a little early) a shared, fun birthday weekend at Soho Farmhouse. Joined by Matthew Kelleher, Mark Silver, Jaime Tanner, Matt Lynch, and others, we went shooting and feasted on pheasant in the English countryside.June was really busy, insanely so.
For my 43rd in early June, I had a 30-person dinner party in our new place! We ended up at Club Cumming after, but before friends, new, and old, showered me with a vinyl record, the admission fee I’d set for my party. Lauren Foster, who has shared her home with us, was, appropriately, our first overnight guest. London, again, Berlin, too. Then home for Pride. Willam Ralphie hosted Bingo at eBay, Zach Augustine, David Mason Chlopecki, other loves attended. That weekend danced to both Madonna and Grace Jones on the pier and danced with 15K others at Javitz, where my favorite singer, Cyndi Lauper, belted “I Drove All Night,” her best song, at midnight. I stayed until the sun came up. NYC was electric that weekend. Parties, icons, friends from the world over … the city has an energy you could literally see and taste. I caught a few moments of the parade, overtaking lower Manhattan, and I smiled really big. God, it can feel good being gay! God, the world has improved for gay people (and yes, I know, we still have ways to go, especially for more marginalized LGBTQ groups). But I still took a moment to acknowledge the things that are better, that I have seen in my very gay lifetime. NYC that weekend was the ultimate place to reflect.
July 4th I went to Hamptons, with Ricardo, Brian, Felipe L. Mollica, others, guests of Anthony. Hosted Fab.com reunion, walked the Brooklyn Bridge, and took my team to Korea (where I shared a traditional Korean meal with Jae Hah), China (where I ate bird’s nests, jellyfish, sea snails, saw a Yves Klein show with Adnan Abbasi, and danced to 90s pop in a packed gay club), and Moscow (where I was amazed at how clean the city was and where I went to a traditional sauna and was whipped, naked, with tree leaves in front of dozens of Russian dudes in the nude). While in Russia a protest erupted, literally below the rooftop bar I dined in. Russia seemed freer than I’d expected, way more Western, up until this moment. I ended the weekend at a club at 3 AM, Russian women in high, high heels, dancing on the bar, vodka flowing like water. 2020 saw me traveling to places I romanticized as a child. Russia, one such place. I thoroughly enjoyed the friendships formed in Moscow, the food, and history. I want to return.
August, I was back in San Jose and Portland for work, then off again to Europe for vacation. We started our trip in Croatia, where Georgi and I kayaked around Dbruvnik’s harbor. Croatia’s cliffs and turquoise water did not disappoint, as we boated to islands and swam in caves. Driving south into Montenegro, the architecture reminded me more of Polish, Bulgarian trips, the water, greener. At the Amman we laid out next to The Beckhams, watching David kick a soccer ball with workers of the hotel, and watching Victoria read a book. Georgi and I then ventured to Mykonos, sunning til sunset and dancing til sunrise. A weekend trip upstate with our besties (including a guest appearance by Eric Lee, riding rides at the Colombia County fair, cooking pies, and grilling meats, ended our summer.
In September I went to Berlin and did Folsom and a speaking gig in front of 1K eBay sellers. I went again to Tel Aviv, meeting gay Israeli technology workers and a bevy fo Israeli start-ups. In Jerusalem, I returned to the wonderful Machneyuda with Gilad Ayalon, where they remembered me from my birthday the year before.
October saw us hosting my mother and my niece for a visit. We fell in love with Company XVI, a dance/burlesque/performance art troupe in Brooklyn. I took my mother to see Madonna, a night I will cherish forever. And we saw Dear Evan Hanson. A weekend in Miami with Lauren Foster and K was needed warmth. I took Georgi to see both acts of The Inheritance (so good!).  Then off to Berlin, again, and Paris, where I looked at art and went shopping for fall clothes. Halloween, in NYC, was brilliant and over the top; I went as white Pierrot clown. In Brooklyn, to Honey Dijon, we danced all night. Ralph Rucci, the American couturier reposted our photo on Instagram, calling it high-fashion, however, it was Georgi who won the night as Spock.
November I was in NYC early on, shopping with Thomas Cawson (who hooked me up with pink denim Helmut Lang), eating Christmas cookies, and being interviewed by Buzzfeed, a segment on 90s toys. I imitated a Furby. Then a week in Portland (I glow-in-the-dark-miniature-golfed), and off to Helsinki, catching up with former friends from Fab, One Nordic, Hem. Then to Lapland, with Georgi, George, and Anthony, lapping up wine, winter wonderlands, and dining on reindeer and elk. Dog sledding, snowmobiling, Northen lights! Another childhood desire checked from the list. Dinner with Michelle Case in London closed the month.
In December I went back to Berlin (my second home) and hosted a fundraiser for Single Step in our home. In one night Georgi and I helped raise $50K to help build Bulgaria’s first LGBTI center. It was also an impromptu holiday party: so many old friends together again in one room. And now Georgi and I sit in an airport lounge, awaiting our flight to Baltra, in the Galapagos. Once we land, we’ll board a 7-day cruise on a mega-yacht/small cruise ship. This, I feel, I have been waiting my entire life for.
I often write about how I was lonely as a kid. I was gay, I had a drug-addicted father, I grew up very poor. I oftentimes say music saved my life. But, I don’t write enough about the joy animals gave me too. I had so many pets: newts, turtles, tortoises, tree frogs, geckos, crabs, salamanders, etc. Caring for them, feeding them, gave me peace and allowed me to love. One turtle I had had a cracked shell. He lived in my room for many, many years. I always preferred him, with his defects, to the others. I think I feel the same about people.
As a child, I became obsessed with the Galapagos Islands, and mostly the tortoises. I would read about them in encyclopedias and race to see them at zoos. I always felt connected to turtles. They were my spirit animal. Later in life, I’d bloom, my feathers growing, my pride, alive. I’d no longer consider myself a turtle, my spirit animal changed. I told this story to my colleague Eben Sermon, who runs eBay’s German business: I always wanted to be a turtle. But I ended up a cockatoo. Eben brought this up last week in Berlin and it made me think a bit more about affinities for animals and how I have not had that connection as often as I probably should.
So this week, before we ring in New Years in Rio, I will honor the old me, the kid, the quieter Bradford, the sadder Bradford, by visiting those turtles, finally.
And I’ll marvel at the wonder of nature and evolution, both the evolution of animals and this world, and also the very real and dramatic evolution of my spirit and happiness.
Happy Holidays, Peace & Big Love

Three quarters of a century after the art deco movement, Miami remains one of the world’s trendiest and flashiest hot spots. Luckily for visitors, South Beach is no longer the only place to stand and pose in Miami. North of downtown, the growing Wynwood and Design districts—along with nearby Midtown—are home to Miami’s hipster and fashionista movements, and the South Beach “scene” continues to extend both north and west, with the addition of new venues north of 20th Street, south of 5th Street, and along the bay on West Avenue. The reopening of the mammoth Fontainebleau and its enclave of nightclubs and restaurants along Mid-Beach paved the way for a mid-beach renaissance, luring other globally renowned resorts, lounges, and restaurants into the neighborhood, such as the Soho Beach House and the Faena District Miami Beach, a multiblock project in mid-Beach by Argentinian icon and developer Alan Faena, scheduled for a 2017 completion.
Visit Miami today and it’s hard to believe that 100 years ago it was a mosquito-infested swampland, with an Indian trading post on the Miami River. Then hotel builder Henry Flagler brought his railroad to the outpost known as Fort Dallas. Other visionaries—Carl Fisher, Julia Tuttle, William Brickell, and John Sewell, among others—set out to tame the unruly wilderness. Hotels were erected, bridges were built, the port was dredged, and electricity arrived. The narrow strip of mangrove coast was transformed into Miami Beach—and the tourists started to come. They haven’t stopped since!
Greater Miami is many destinations in one. At its best it offers an unparalleled multicultural experience: melodic Latin and Caribbean tongues, international cuisines and cultural events, and an unmistakable joie de vivre—all against a beautiful beach backdrop. In Little Havana the air is tantalizing with the perfume of strong Cuban coffee. In Coconut Grove, Caribbean steel drums ring out during the Miami/Bahamas Goombay Festival. Anytime in colorful Miami Beach, restless crowds wait for entry to the hottest new clubs.
Couple Of Days In Sunny Miami Three quarters of a century after the art deco movement, Miami remains one of the world's trendiest and flashiest hot spots.

Two days ago, Trump announced that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report should be released to the public: “Let it come out, let people see it.”
Today, Mueller delivered his confidential report to Trump’s Attorney General, William Barr.
Trump has been very clear that he believes the primary duty of the Attorney General of the United States of America is to protect Donald Trump. (That’s why he fired Jeff Sessions, if you’ll recall: because he recused himself from overseeing the Russia investigation, and didn’t shut it down when Trump ordered. And it’s surely why Trump’s Acting Attorney General, Matthew Whittaker, refused to recuse himself.) So there’s a good chance there will be a long, drawn-out fight over whether Congress or the public will ever see anything Mueller reported.
This is probably why.
“Over the past three decades, at least 13 people with known or alleged links to Russian mobsters or oligarchs have owned, lived in, and even run criminal activities out of Trump Tower and other Trump properties. Many used his apartments and casinos to launder untold millions in dirty money.”
Buyers connected to Russia or former Soviet republics made 86 all-cash sales — totaling nearly $109 million — at Trump-branded properties.
“Many of them made purchases using shell companies designed to obscure their identities. … Some of the buyers appeared to spend above market value … 69 buyers or shell companies … indicated they were from Russia or a former Soviet republic, previously lived or studied in Russia or a former Soviet republic; had done extensive business in Russia or a former Soviet republic; or purchased a unit using a shell company whose registered agent or officer was from Russia or a former Soviet republic.”
Cash transactions like these are the most reliable way to launder money, because, unlike financed property transactions, private cash transactions are subject to no oversight:
“Since the 1970s, U.S. laws have required real estate professionals to screen clients for signs of money laundering. The Bank Secrecy Act and the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network require institutions that provide financing to examine their customers and their source of wealth. But those laws don’t pertain to sellers. ‘Criminals can use all-cash purchases to make payments in full for properties and evade scrutiny — on themselves and the origin of their wealth — that is regularly performed by financial institutions in transactions involving mortgages,’ according to the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. ‘Many all-cash transactions are routine and legitimate; however, they also present significant opportunities for exploitation by illicit actors.’”
The left-leaning group American Bridge 21st Century compiled data from numerous Trump organizations:
“…real estate records at 2,769 condo units at 10 luxury buildings that the Trump Organization either develops or licenses in Miami-Dade and Broward counties in South Florida and New York City; three Trump Towers, Trump Palace and Trump Royale, all in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla., Trump Hollywood in Hollywood, Fla. and Trump Soho, Trump Place, Trump World Tower and Trump International Hotel & Tower in New York.”
American Bridge concluded that many transactions involving Trump properties looked an awful lot like money laundering
“‘We’ve long suspected that Donald Trump’s businesses were a front for money laundering and our research suggests it could be true,’ said Harrell Kirstein, communicators director for the Trump War Room at American Bridge. ‘The millions of dollars in previously unreported, all-cash real estate deals we discovered raise troubling questions about who is funding his businesses, why, and what they’re getting in return.’”
Fusion GPS, the company that hired Christopher Steele (who authored the notorious Steele dossier), reached the same conclusion:
“Glenn Simpson, co-founder of Fusion GPS, the firm behind a dossier alleging ties between Trump and Russians, told the House Intelligence Committee in November that his group uncovered ‘patterns of buying and selling that we thought were suggestive of money laundering’ at Trump-branded properties around the globe. ‘Generally speaking, the patterns of activity that we thought might be suggestive of money laundering were … fast-turnover deals, and deals where there seemed to have been efforts to disguise the identity of the buyer,’ he said.”
And Trump and his team have known it all along:
“‘This is all about money laundering,’ former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon is quoted as saying about the Mueller inquiry.”
A few other choice tidbits:
When Trump Tower opened in 1983, “it was only the second high-rise in New York that accepted anonymous buyers.”
In 1984, David Bogatin–one of the leaders of the Russian mob in New York–purchased five condominiums in Trump Tower for $6 million in cash. “Trump personally attended the closing.” In 1987, the government seized them specifically because it determined that Bogatin had purchased them to “launder money, to shelter and hide assets.”
As of 2004, “a third of units sold on floors 76 through 83 [in Trump World Tower] … involved people or limited liability companies connected to Russia and neighboring states.”
In 2008, Donald Trump Jr. bragged: “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”
In 2010, Deutsche Bank loaned Trump a billion dollars when no one else would. In 2011, the bank began laundering money with the help of Russians. By 2016, when the government’s investigation into Deutsche Bank became public, it had laundered $10 billion for the Russians.
In 2013, Eric Trump allegedly bragged: “We don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.” (He now denies saying that.)
In 2013, Russian mob boss Alimzhan Tokhtakhounov was charged with (among other things) “a high-stakes illegal gambling ring operating out of Trump Tower.” The federal indictment accused him of “a sophisticated money laundering scheme” that moved an estimated $100 million out of the former Soviet Union, “through shell companies in Cyprus, and into investments in the United States.” (Coincidentally, the U.S. attorney who brought those charges was Preet Bharara, whom Trump fired shortly after taking office.)
In 2015, the Trump Taj Mahal was fined $10 million—the highest penalty ever levied against a casino—and admitted to having “willfully violated” anti-money-laundering regulations for years.
In 2016, Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort, and Jared Kushner infamously met with a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower in the hope of getting dirt on Hillary Clinton. The lawyer was Nataliya Veselnitskaya, and she was in New York to represent a defendant in court in a legal matter. Her client was a Cyprus-based real estate corporation called “Prevezon Holdings Ltd.,” and the legal matter was “a broad pattern of money laundering”: “laundering part of $230m stolen by a Russian criminal network into upscale New York condominiums.” (Coincidentally, the U.S. attorney who brought the charges against Prevezon was also Bharara.)
This is why Trump has railed so relentlessly against Mueller and every aspect of this investigation. This is why he was so adamant from the beginning that the special counsel’s investigation could not look into his finances or those of the Trump Organization, calling it a “red line.” This is Trump’s nightmare scenario: that Mueller’s report contains evidence proving that the Trump Organization knowingly launders money for Russia.
Kompromat.

NFTs and cryptocurrency buy ‘entrée’ to glamour, and networking
There’s a newfangled financial model for the still-struggling food and beverage industry: the world of the blockchain, crypto and NFTs.
Two New York-based restaurant groups are now raising money through individual “NFT” memberships, or the non-fungible tokens that are usually associated with digital art pieces.
Think of it as a 21st century version of a country club or the trendy Soho House. A one-time membership fee pays for access to a club (or a restaurant or bar) – and gets you access to a group of people like you. The restaurants also get a percent of each future transaction every time an NFT is bought and sold.
Brooklyn Chop House, which is slated to open in Times Square next month, is launching an NFT membership in its sub-cellar space on May 1, Side Dish can reveal exclusively.
Membership — purchased in the cryptocurrency Ethereum — will range from $8,000 all the way to $1 million. Most memberships will get you access to the space, just like a membership at a private club. But the million-dollar NFT will come with a quarter of a percent ownership in the restaurant, Stratis Morfogen, director of operations for Brooklyn Chop House, tells Side Dish.
There’s also a $20,000 gold membership that includes prime reservations for up to 20 guests per month plus guaranteed reservations. Platinum membership, at $100,000, includes additional perks, like chauffeur pickup to and from airports to hotels and for delivery orders.
“The NFT market began with art and music. It wasn’t designed for restaurants. We’re changing that, creating a digital version of a private club — like a Soho House in the metaverse but in Times Square,” Morfogen said.
The news follows reports last month that serial entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk‘s VCR Group will open Flyfish Club. Billed as the world’s first NFT private dining club, Flyfish Club hasn’t even signed a lease, and it isn’t slated to open until next year — yet it has generated more than $14 million through NFT sales, VCR’s CEO, veteran restaurateur David Rodolitz, a founding partner of Empellon Restaurant Group, tells Side Dish.
Stratis Morfogen, right, is director of operations for Brooklyn Chop House, a restaurant offering rare membership opportunities.
Daniel Kwak
The $14 million in sales, via Ethereum, happened fast — a small pre-sale in December and a Jan. 7 sale that sold out — 1,501 memberships, he said.
Since then, more than $23 million has been generated in resales on a secondary market, Opensea, which is known as the eBay of NFTs, Rodolitz tells Side Dish exclusively.
VCR gets 10% of every trade, so they’ve already earned an additional $2.3 million, he added.
“Every NFT creator decides the percent and the market determines if they are right or wrong. We felt that as a first-of-its kind in the hospitality industry, 10% was justified,” Rodolitz said.
NFTs are definitely on the menu at Flyfish Club.
Flyfish Club
“We’re finding a new way to do business,” Rodolitz added. “There’s an upfront sales component – selling membership – plus an ongoing royalty component, as memberships are bought and sold on the secondary market.
Membership clubs have of course existed for a long time, but Rodolitz said the industry is just now turning to NFTs for a new spin on the practice.
Flyfish Club’s seafood-inspired concept was created by Vaynerchuk, Rodolitz and celebrity chef Josh Capon, VCR’s chief culinary officer.
Although the restaurant is not yet open, Flyfish Club is already launching real world experiences for its members, like an upcoming pop up champagne and caviar cruise in Miami.
“I was pleasantly surprised by this sense of community that has rallied around a restaurant that doesn’t exist yet,” Capon said. “It’s actually touching to see how people are connecting … We are trying to do something innovative to help our industry and ourselves.”
The Flyfish Club’s NFTs are, unsurprisingly, inspired by the sea and its creatures.
Flyfish Club
Both restaurant groups will be using the cryptocurrency Ethereum.
Brooklyn Chop House, which merges an upscale steakhouse with Chinese dishes, like Peking duck, already has a celebrity cult following in its original FiDi location. Regulars include actors Kevin Hart and Jamie Foxx, singers like Mary J Blige and sports stars like the Knicks’ Julius Randle — as well as veggie forward Mayor Adams, who recently enjoyed a crispy eggplant dish while dining with his pal, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka. Morfogen tells Side Dish that some regulars have already expressed interest in purchasing NFT membership for the sub-cellar club in the new Times Square location.
As for Flyflish Club, the seafood-focused dining club will be for NFT token holders only, and it will include a cocktail bar and an outdoor space. There will also be an additional, even more exclusive omakase token that will give a smaller number of token holders access to a private omakase room curated by Michelin star sushi master Masa Ito. (VCR also operates Ito, an omakase-style Japanese restaurant led by Ito and Kevin Kim.)
As of Monday, Flyfish membership was trading for 4.88 tokens, or $12,735, and the more limited Omakase Flyfish membership was trading for 13.49 tokens, or $35,140, Rodolitz said.
Morfogen adds that crypto millionaires need real world places to congregate.
“There is a huge community of crypto millionaires who only socialize with each other,” Morfogen said. “A lot of them are trading NFTs out of their bedrooms and buying things in the metaverse. We’re giving them a place to congregate, taking the best of both worlds.” Added Rodolitz: “You will start to see a lot of real-life projects based on utility, not just digital files. I don’t think anyone has done a premier utility-based NFT project before, across all industries, especially hospitality. We worked hard to be the first. It’s very exciting.”
We hear…that this Presidents’ Day weekend, designer Rebecca Minkoff launched a pop-up and VIP dinner at Jayma Cardoso‘s glam Red Room at the Snow Lodge, her restaurant at the St. Regis Hotel in Aspen that is the sister spot to her Surf Lodge in Montauk. The Red Room — a caviar and champagne lounge and piano bar featuring live performances by Bob Moses and others — launched on Valentine’s Day. Culinary director Robert Siebert’s popular American-style concoctions include caviar cannolis and white chocolate macaroons with caviar for a unique sweet and salty flavor. Siebert also offers more traditional fare, like a caviar potato, which is also popular at the Nines, the new trendy lounge in Noho.
