The above shots were taken from my very first story update of The Higgs in December 2008. Has it really been that long?

Here's The Higgs now in 2022, after reinstalling my game several years later, and restarting with generation 2 as teens again (they were YA where I left off). I try to keep everything as close to the original as possible, so it's like I just pressed pause for awhile.

I don’t know who to tag, since I recently came back after a long hiatus. So consider yourself tagged, or say that I tagged you.

@esotheria-sims (Coincidentally, I had the same reaction when I saw you had commented!) You have no idea how much I love those teeth. I am obsessed. @cindysimblr He was performing some kind of fire ritual with Arcadia Bradshaw in my dream. I thought they made an interesting pair. I was initially perfectly happy with how precisely his appearance translated from my dream to the Sims (not that it was a difficult creation, but the images in my brain so rarely make it into the Sims without issue), but then I saw some of the other options and couldn’t decide. Thank you for helping me with that decision!

@keoni-chan There is something deeply unsettling about the disembodied eyes and teeth just floating in an empty hood. I actually really like how even the eyes disappear and reappear at certain angles. He wasn’t menacing in my dream, though, more of a helper. Also, you’re one of my all-time favorites and I’m really thrilled that you commented. Thank you for voting!

Soooo... I counted every vote cast, including multiple votes from the same person because why not, and the final tally is therefore:

#1 - 8 votes #2 - 2 votes #3 - 8 votes

But if I go back over it and only take everyone’s first choice, I end up with:

#1 - 7 votes #2 - 2 votes #3 - 6 votes

So it looks like we’re going with #1, although #3 fought viciously for the honor. Maybe I can figure something out that involves use of both faces, some kind of dark evolution, hm. But for now, Face 1 is the winner, in true Sims 2 fashion. I truly appreciate everyone who offered their thoughts and opinions, it means the world to me that you guys took the time to respond.

Very, very pale, that’s for sure. I was going to blame my updating his skintone but he’s always been extra fair skinned. He’s just an emo boy living in a medieval-fantasy world.

I actually created it and have been filming on my YouTube. Essentially, you created 7 sims based on different portrayals of a historical figure in modern media. For fun, since I’ve been doing Henry VIII’s wives, I’ve been doing a genetic experiment at the end to see how their children turn out :)

Here we go again! Just to give me some peace of mind, I've uninstalled the game, and will now reinstall all 21 discs. *crosses fingers*

I forgot to turn off my antivirus software when installing the last time, and one disc gave a prompt that it might not have installed correctly. Happy Holiday Stuff also gives that same prompt, so I just ignored it (and it's been in the back of my mind ever since). [ETA] Every disc installed correctly, including Happy Holiday!!!

Justin is a flirt, and likes to see how far he can push it while still staying under the radar from his parents.

"Oh, sure. Just take it all, why don't ya?", Atlas mused.

Cindy rolled her eyes, "It's exactly the same as the one that you're eating.". She thought this was silly, childish behavior.

"Kids these days.", Robert chuckled.

Katrina saw some of her friends hanging out after school, and decided to hit Justin up about prom "I was wondering if you're... umm... if you've asked anyone...". "If it's about the prom, he's already going with someone.", Atlas butted in.

"Yep, sorry. My dance card is full.", Justin replied. "Right, of course. I was just thinking that maybe going with a friend might be a good idea.". Katrina felt silly, she knew he was most likely going with Atlas, but figured it was at least worth a shot.

Justin looked Atlas dead in the eye and asked, "Would you run away with me to a remote island if you could? Hypothetically speaking, of course.".

"Of course. I'd go to the ends of the SimEarth for you, hypothetically speaking.", Atlas smiled.

"It would be nice.", Justin pondered for a moment, "To just be free, and open about everything. No more sneaking around.".

"Everything will change when we start Uni.", Atlas assured him.

The Klines bought a pool table for their patio, and the boys spent much of Saturday playing. Justin made his winning shot, and proudly declared, "You owe me $50.".

"That's not fair, you can practice anytime.", Atlas protested.

"That's how you hustle. Now, cough it up.", Justin joked. "Hey, if we keep practicing like this, we could go downtown and make some serious cash.".

[ETA] I gave Atlas some new eyes, and I'm really happy that he can make expressions like this now.

"We should get some some cool clothes, and go out like this some time.". Justin felt like a badass, and wanted to spring it on the world.

"I think I need a little more practice first.". Atlas took a deep breath, "You clearly have more more experience with this stuff.".

"Nonsense! You look fucking adorable. You're just going for a different look is all". Justin tried boosting his confidence, but he also meant every word.

Atlas headed toward the bed, "I think I'm going to call it a night.".

"You know, you really shouldn't go to bed with all that makeup on.".

"I know,", Atlas sighed, "I'm beat though.".

Still plugging along on the Super6 Roadside Motel. I merged some of the rooms, and it's mostly furnished now, with the exception of the front office/check-in. Average sized rooms for a mid-century era motel, and most units have kitchenettes - this isn't luxury lodging by any means though.

Justin had a ridiculously good time on a date with Atlas, and bought him an $1800 karaoke machine! Seamus decided to try it out, but when Atlas asked him to do a duet, I heard a "boing" sound and saw the X'd out heart. I wasn't sure why, but later I saw in his relationships panel that he was in love with his brother, and engaged to the rest of his family (Haddie is a child). WTAF?!?!

I don't have any mods in my game pertaining to family or anything like this, or multiple engagements. It was all one sided on his panel without any memories of it, and the family didn't show any love/engagements toward him. Their relationship scores were all zeroed out as well. I know there's a karaoke glitch, but I'm not sure if this is it.

Yikes! This is the Klines without their default skins and cc. Clearly the dad has had some work done, lol! Since they're celebrities, I give them veneers, so their teeth look just a little nicer than the average sim. They must have been made with the wrinkles as a base.

The jump/rotating in circles (regenerating portraits) glitch is back. I've removed all my mods, and am now doing the 50/50 method on my downloads.
