TRR Squad crossover High School Series
Tumblr media
Even though Hana would prefer to be in the band rather than a cheerleader, her parents signed her up for cheerleading. To be a cheerleader at Oliver M. Berry High School is to be in the elite squad. Cheerleaders date athletes not the nerds in the band. And yet Hana and Raelyn find themselves drawn to each other. Can they face all the cattiness and high school cliques? Or will the cheerleading squad and the band get in between the two star-crossed lovers?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Riley is busy trying to pass her classes and going head to head with her rival and Hearst's softball star Olivia Nevrakis. She doesn't have time for a love triangle between Liam, Berry's basketball star, and his best friend Drake, the star linebacker for Berry's football team. But this is high school and with young love, hearts are bound to be broken.

The Art of Softball Uniform Design
Softball uniform design is more than just choosing colors and logos; it's a crucial aspect of the sport's culture and identity. These uniforms are a canvas that represents a team's unity, pride, and spirit. From vibrant colors that energize players to ergonomic designs that enhance performance, every detail matters. The choice of materials affects comfort, durability, and moisture-wicking properties, ensuring athletes stay at the top of their game. Customization options allow teams to express their unique personality and values, fostering a sense of belonging among players. Whether it's the traditional pinstripes of a classic look or the cutting-edge sublimation printing for a modern touch, softball uniforms embody the essence of the game and the team's legacy.
The Evolution of Softball Uniforms
Softball uniform design have come a long way since the inception of the sport. From the early days of makeshift attire to today's cutting-edge designs, the evolution of softball uniform design mirrors the growth of the sport itself. In the early 20th century, when softball was first played indoors as a form of baseball, players wore ordinary street clothes, often consisting of button-up shirts and baggy pants. As the sport gained popularity and moved outdoors, uniforms started to become more standardized and practical. Today, softball uniforms are a testament to modern sports technology, featuring moisture-wicking fabrics, advanced stitching techniques, and personalized design elements.
The Significance of Color and Team Identity
The colors of a softball uniform design are more than just a fashion statement; they carry immense significance in terms of team identity and psychology. Teams carefully choose their colors to evoke specific emotions and to create a sense of unity among players. For example, vibrant colors like red and orange can energize and motivate players, while cooler shades like blue can convey a sense of calm and professionalism. Additionally, colors can pay homage to a team's heritage or represent the local community, strengthening the bond between the team and its fans.
The Role of Materials and Performance Enhancement
Softball uniform design are not only about appearance but also about performance enhancement. Materials play a crucial role in ensuring that players can perform at their best. High-quality fabrics that are breathable and moisture-wicking help keep players comfortable during intense games. Additionally, advancements in materials science have led to uniforms that are lightweight, durable, and resistant to wear and tear. These innovations allow players to focus on their skills and strategy, knowing that their uniforms are up to the task.
Customization: Expressing Team Personality
One of the most exciting aspects of modern softball uniform design is the ability to customize them to express the team's unique personality and values. Teams can add their logos, player names, and even motivational slogans to their uniforms. This customization fosters a sense of belonging among players and makes each uniform a personal statement of commitment to the team's mission. It also helps fans connect with their favorite players and creates a strong sense of community both on and off the field.
Tradition Meets Innovation: Classic vs. Modern Designs
The world of softball uniforms offers a unique blend of tradition and innovation. While some teams prefer classic designs with pinstripes and traditional fonts, others opt for cutting-edge sublimation printing and sleek, modern aesthetics. The choice between these styles often reflects a team's history, values, and goals. Classic designs pay homage to the sport's heritage, while modern designs embrace the possibilities of contemporary materials and printing techniques.
The Impact of Sponsorship and Branding
Sponsorship and branding have become integral parts of softball uniforms. Many teams, especially at higher levels of play, feature prominent sponsor logos on their jerseys and pants. These partnerships not only provide financial support but also create opportunities for exposure and brand recognition. However, balancing the need for sponsorship with the integrity of the uniform design can be a delicate task, as it's essential to maintain the team's identity and aesthetic appeal.
Beyond the Field: Softball Uniforms as Cultural Symbols
Softball uniforms extend beyond the boundaries of the field; they become cultural symbols representing the spirit and values of the sport. These uniforms are often worn with pride in parades, community events, and fundraisers, serving as a visible reminder of the team's role in the local community. They also become cherished memorabilia for players and fans alike, symbolizing the memories, friendships, and achievements associated with the sport of softball. In this way, softball uniforms transcend their functional purpose and become a meaningful part of the sport's cultural legacy.
Conclusion:
The design of softball uniforms transcends aesthetics, serving as a vital component of a team's identity and spirit. These uniforms symbolize unity, pride, and performance excellence, enhancing the overall experience for players and fans alike. The careful consideration of materials, colors, and customization options ensures that softball uniforms remain a significant aspect of the sport's culture. So, when we see players step onto the field, their uniforms not only represent a team but also tell a story of dedication, camaraderie, and the pursuit of greatness in the world of softball.

What to Look for in Youth Softball Uniforms?
Youth softball uniforms play a pivotal role in the sport, extending far beyond aesthetics. They are a symbol of team identity, a source of pride, and a practical necessity for every young athlete. Choosing the right uniforms is a decision that encompasses various factors, from comfort and durability to style and regulations. In this guide, we'll delve into the essential aspects to consider when selecting youth softball uniforms. Whether you're a coach aiming to boost team spirit or a parent looking to provide your child with the best gear, understanding what to look for in youth softball uniforms is crucial for a successful and enjoyable season on the diamond.
The Foundation of Youth Softball Uniforms
Youth softball uniforms are more than just outfits; they are a critical component of a young athlete's experience. Quality materials are the cornerstone of these uniforms, as they ensure not only durability but also comfort and performance. Softball players, especially youngsters, need uniforms that can withstand the rigors of the game while offering breathability and flexibility. Choosing the right materials means selecting fabrics that wick moisture away, keeping players dry, and minimizing discomfort. Moreover, these materials provide a professional look, instilling a sense of pride in young athletes and fostering a strong team identity.
Design and Customization Options for Team Spirit
Design and customization options for youth softball uniforms play a pivotal role in boosting team spirit and identity. These uniforms are a canvas for creativity, allowing teams to display their colors, logos, and names in a way that resonates with their unique identity. Young athletes take pride in wearing uniforms that represent their team, creating a sense of unity and camaraderie. Whether it's incorporating team mottos, player names, or intricate graphics, the design possibilities are endless, enabling teams to stand out on the field and bond over a shared aesthetic.
Essential Factors for Young Athletes
When it comes to youth softball uniforms, comfort and fit are non-negotiable. Young athletes need uniforms that provide optimal comfort, allowing them to focus on the game without distractions. Ill-fitting or uncomfortable uniforms can hinder performance and dampen enthusiasm. Therefore, selecting uniforms with the right fit, such as adjustable waistbands and moisture-wicking materials, is crucial. Ensuring comfort not only enhances the playing experience but also instills confidence in young players, empowering them to perform at their best.
Choosing Uniforms Built to Last
Durability is a paramount consideration when choosing youth softball uniforms. Young athletes engage in rigorous activities on the field, and their uniforms must withstand wear and tear. Quality stitching, reinforced seams, and durable fabrics are essential elements that ensure uniforms can endure the demands of the game season after season. Investing in durable uniforms not only saves on replacement costs but also ensures that young athletes can focus on honing their skills rather than worrying about wardrobe malfunctions.
Finding Affordable Youth Softball Uniforms
Budget constraints are a reality for many youth softball teams, and finding affordable uniforms that meet quality standards is vital. While it's tempting to prioritize cost savings, compromising on quality can lead to frequent replacements and added expenses in the long run. It's essential to strike a balance between affordability and durability, considering bulk purchasing options, discounts, and fundraising efforts to ease the financial burden. Ensuring that young athletes have access to decent uniforms is a testament to a team's commitment to their development and well-being.
Selecting Uniforms with Player Protection in Mind
Safety should be a primary concern when selecting youth softball uniforms. Ensuring that uniforms are designed with player protection in mind means choosing fabrics that offer some degree of impact resistance. Additionally, selecting uniforms with appropriate padding in key areas like knees, elbows, and shoulders can minimize the risk of injury during play. While aesthetics and branding are important, the safety and well-being of young athletes should always take precedence in uniform selection, creating a secure environment for them to excel in their sport.
Creating a Unified Look for Your Team
Branding and identity are essential aspects of youth softball uniforms. These uniforms serve as a visual representation of the team, creating a unified look that promotes team pride and recognition. By incorporating team logos, colors, and names, uniforms not only foster a sense of belonging among young athletes but also help them stand out on the field. Furthermore, a strong team identity can boost team morale, encourage sportsmanship, and contribute to a positive playing environment, emphasizing the importance of aesthetics and branding in youth softball uniform selection.
Conclusion
In the world of youth softball, uniforms are more than just clothing; they are a reflection of team unity and individual dedication. When you know what to look for in youth softball uniforms, you empower your team with gear that not only looks good but also enhances performance and confidence on the field. From choosing the right materials to ensuring a comfortable fit and even considering customization options, these factors collectively contribute to an enjoyable and memorable season of youth softball. So, as you embark on your uniform selection journey, remember that the perfect youth softball uniform is more than just a piece of clothing. It's a symbol of teamwork, passion and the love of the game.

Youth Softball Uniforms: Finding the Right Fit for Your Team
Youth softball is more than just a sport; it's a journey of camaraderie, discipline and growth. And at the heart of every successful softball team lies a unifying factor: the uniforms. Finding the right fit for your youth softball team isn't merely about aesthetics; it's about fostering team spirit, instilling pride and ensuring comfort and functionality on the field. The journey to select the perfect youth softball uniforms is a crucial aspect of preparing your team for the season ahead. From choosing the right style and design to ensuring a proper fit for each player, this process demands careful consideration. In this guide, we'll walk you through the essential aspects of selecting youth softball uniforms that will not only make your team look good but also perform at their best.
A Winning Game-Changer
Youth softball uniforms are more than just clothing; they are a game-changing element that can significantly impact a team's performance and overall experience. These uniforms instill a sense of pride and belonging in young athletes, fostering confidence and team cohesion. When players don their team's colors and logos, it creates a collective identity that transcends individual efforts, leading to improved teamwork and camaraderie. Furthermore, well-designed uniforms can boost a team's visual presence, making them more recognizable and memorable on the field. Youth softball uniforms serve as a symbol of dedication to the sport, motivating players to give their best and leave a lasting impression on opponents and spectators alike.
The Importance of Choosing the Right Youth Softball Uniforms
Selecting the right youth softball uniforms is a crucial decision for any team. These uniforms should not only look good but also provide comfort, functionality, and durability. The right choice of materials, design, and sizing can make a significant difference in the players' performance and overall experience. Ill-fitting or uncomfortable uniforms can distract young athletes and hinder their focus on the game. Moreover, uniforms play a role in team cohesion, creating a sense of unity and identity. When chosen carefully, youth softball uniforms become an integral part of the team's success, enhancing their confidence and overall performance on the field.
How Uniforms Impact Youth Softball?
Youth softball uniforms play a vital role in shaping a team's spirit and identity. When young athletes wear matching uniforms adorned with their team's colors, logos, and numbers, it creates a sense of unity and belonging. These uniforms act as a visual representation of the team's collective identity, reinforcing the idea that they are part of something bigger than themselves. This unity translates into improved teamwork and camaraderie on the field, as players are reminded that they are working together toward a common goal. Beyond the practical aspects, youth softball uniforms also instill pride and confidence in young athletes, motivating them to perform at their best and embody the values of their team.
Finding the Perfect Fit for Young Athletes
Ensuring the perfect fit of youth softball uniforms is essential for the comfort and performance of young athletes. Ill-fitting uniforms can lead to discomfort, distraction, and hindered mobility on the field. Proper sizing is crucial to allow freedom of movement while avoiding excessive bagginess or tightness. When uniforms fit well, players can focus entirely on the game, enhancing their confidence and overall performance. Additionally, well-fitted uniforms contribute to a professional and cohesive team appearance, reinforcing team identity and unity. Coaches and parents should pay close attention to sizing to ensure that young athletes feel comfortable and supported in their uniforms, setting them up for success in every game.
Comfort and Performance
The choice of materials for youth softball uniforms is paramount to provide young athletes with comfort and optimal performance on the field. Breathable, moisture-wicking fabrics help regulate body temperature and keep players dry during intense games, preventing discomfort and distractions. Lightweight and durable materials ensure that uniforms withstand the rigors of the sport while allowing for a full range of motion. The right materials also contribute to the longevity of the uniforms, saving parents and teams money in the long run. When young athletes feel comfortable in their uniforms, they can focus on the game and perform at their best, ultimately enhancing the overall softball experience for both players and spectators.
Designing Youth Softball Uniforms
Designing youth softball uniforms involves a delicate balance between style and functionality. The visual appeal of the uniforms, including color choices, logos, and graphics, plays a significant role in creating a memorable and recognizable team identity. However, functionality should never be compromised. Uniforms must be designed with practicality in mind, considering factors like mobility, comfort, and durability. Striking this balance ensures that young athletes not only look good but also perform at their best on the field. Coaches, parents, and team members should collaborate to create designs that reflect the team's personality and values while meeting the practical demands of the sport. Well-designed youth softball uniforms become a source of pride for young athletes and contribute to a cohesive and confident team dynamic.
Affordable Youth Softball Uniform Solutions
While youth softball uniforms are essential for team identity and performance, they don't have to break the bank. Budget-friendly options are available, offering affordable solutions that meet the needs of young athletes and their families. These options may include cost-effective materials, simplified designs, or bulk purchasing discounts. Coaches and parents can explore different avenues to ensure that every player has access to suitable uniforms without financial strain. Affordable uniforms not only make the sport more accessible but also allow young athletes to focus on their game, building skills and camaraderie without unnecessary financial burdens. Investing in budget-friendly youth softball uniforms demonstrates a commitment to fostering a love for the sport and providing opportunities for all aspiring players to participate and thrive.
Conclusion
In the world of youth softball, the significance of well-fitted and thoughtfully designed uniforms cannot be overstated. They serve as more than just attire; they symbolize unity, commitment, and team identity. When you find the right fit for your team, you're not just dressing your players; you're preparing them for success on the field. So, whether it's the choice of materials, the style, or the customization options, each decision plays a part in shaping the journey your team will embark on. By investing time and effort in selecting the perfect youth softball uniforms, you're not only ensuring that your team looks the part but also setting the stage for a memorable and successful season filled with team spirit and a shared sense of purpose.

It was always odd for you, no matter what it was rough coming back to the college after a day full of classes, it’s like coming back to take in more knowledge then your brain already gathered in its capacity and the freshness of the floors and clean janitorial supplies had filled your nostrils as you walked into the main entrance with your hands gently gripping the brown bag with the large golden arches of the fast food place you stopped by with Kate before coming back. After getting practice information, too chilly in the air to go outside on the school fields that Stark ensures is clean and prepped for anything, anything, like the one time you saw your neighbor Brooke step on the field to go a ball that was overthrown he lost his shit and yelled at your former coach, Maria.
You loved Maria dearly; she was there since you were a freshman and stayed with you until you were a senior to where she decided to focus on her own family and to spend time after the harsh work ours and the stress she endured from parents and family friends snapping at her like a dog that should be bound to listen. That was the thing you liked about the coach, Maria never stepped down. Hard-headed with a short temper that got along with you just perfectly, she was the mother you never felt was there when you grew up with the harshness of family arguments that left you excluded without feeling any parental love. Maybe that’s why you havent found yourself a healthy relationship yet, but nevertheless you knew someone was there for you. Maybe.
“Hill isn’t here to call us fat,” The solemn voice of Kate broke the silence as your hand that isn’t holding the bag of food you ordered clutched onto the strap that held your bat bag together, a wave of sadness brushed over your eyes before quietly added on, “She’ll still do it in spirit, trust me,” A small snicker left both of your lips, it was hard to think about but you hoped that this new coach would bring the team back together from the grief of Maria’s loss. Heading over towards the gym as you heard the soft shuffle of sneakers on the other side of the doors as you leaned your hips forward and pushed against the bar to hear the creaking of the hinges and the familiar sound of voices in the smaller area where your sport was designated. Stark, the athletic director, had found himself more amused in the sport of football and track, and then recently volleyball due to them winning state had you nothing more than annoyed that softball had nowhere close to his heart like it was to you. It wasn’t fair, the uniforms were either too tight or too loose. Freshman year you had a button missing and it showed you cleavage too much to your liking which had you losing your mind and trying to focus on getting better to work harder for the achievement of getting a better chance at doing something right.
You moved to go settle near the bleachers, setting the bag of food down before slipping the bag that held your very heart onto the floor as a loud clunk was heard against the flooring. As your head mindlessly reached into the bag to slip one of the crispy and hot fries in between your pointer and your thumb a familiar hand was met with your ass. Your eyes had slid to the corners to get a look of the familiar brunette you had bonded with while growing up before sputtering out, beating the request Brooklynn was about to make, “If you wanted a fry you can ask for one,” The teasing lilt of your tone was clear, it was an antic you two kept for many years. You handed her the bag, letting the blonde dig for the scraps as you already ate most of the greasy food in the car, nose scrunching as you made a move to slide off the crocs and bending down to grab your tennis shoes to slide over your feet.
What you didn’t catch is the sound of the door creaking open for a tall and muscular redhead to send daggers right at the two of you when the silly action was made; Natasha had her eyes set on you after your friend slapped your ass, it wasn’t the fact the redhead had looked over your school profile after seeing you at tryouts. You were nothing but adorable, kind-hearted and having a hard work ethic that she took interest in. Not only were you picked on the varsity team due to your skills, but the hidden attraction she had got in the single day when she was watching you help the younger classmen on how tryouts run. She wasn’t a pervert–she was for you–but her eyes had slowly grazed over the exposed plush of your thighs as your shorts had ridden up when you bent over before clearing her throat and letting her presence be known as she called out, “Make sure to do your warm-ups ladies, we did nominate Y/N to be your team captain, I should be seeing her leading stretches!” You had finished tying your laces when Natasha called out, letting out a soft huff as your cheeks puffed as your elbow got nudged by the brunette that was beside you before you briefly explained the process of stretching. You always liked running around the perimeter of the gym at least once to get your legs going then stretching in a group, collaboration was key. At least to you, listening to the conversations around you as you took in the drama and gossip. Head twisting to get a look back at the coach, eyes fixating on Natasha for a hot minute. Eyeing the redheads biceps before looking back over, stretching out your thighs as you release a quiet grumble.
“If you’re warm go ahead and head towards the coach,” Your head reeled as you moved over to the familiar group you hang around with; Kate, Brooklyn and then Monica. Hanging back a little bit as the redheaded coach counted over numbers on who's there. Your eyes had followed Natasha’s movements until she leaned over and grabbed your softball bat from your bag, brows creasing as a scoff bubbled from your throat as she went to each station. Due to being indoors it was hard to do fielding; with balls bouncing due to Stark’s rule of softies and with how the floor is it’s hard to estimate bounces. You were one to easily anticipate when you were hitting on practice days and when you are not, after boringly going through the stations on what to do to get better like your team was a part of rec ball again until you watched Romanoff’s arm stretch and hand it off towards you.
You don’t know why you hesitated; was it the way that the redheads plump lips smirked at you? No she wasn’t, yes she was. She was directly looking at you with a smirk on her face and your eyes had captured the small freckles that adorned her skin before your palm extended and gripped the handle of the bat before pulling it towards you to rest on your side. It wasn’t until an arm had slid into yours as you were dragged off to your softball bag to get your gloves, it was a necessity. Even hitting the ball too hard in the cold will get your hands to cramp horribly, it hurt the first time you went up to bat without them and it was never again. Focusing on the velcro of ensuring the gloves are tight over your soft skin the voice broke your train of thought.
“How come you were all lovey-dovey over Romanoff,” Brooke’s voice was soft, teasing even. Eyes peering over at the brunette as your brows lowered down, lovey dovey with the coach? Yeah right. Shaking your head as you bitterly responded, “Brookie, I ensure that I’m not head over heels for the coach. I feel like you should be worried about your own relationships rather than mine,”
Your sharp retort had Brooklyn scoffing, rolling her eyes as you snickered as the brunette walked off to go towards the first station. Nothing really happened much; other than you casting longing glances at Natasha who was standing near the batting cage where the pitching machine was up and running with the redheads eyes focused on who was batting and giving tips on how to improve. Yet it wasn’t clear to you on how whenever you turned your back to work on hitting, the coach's green eyes would skim over to peer at your behind as you worked.
It wasn’t until you and Brooke had moved into the batting cage you felt off, flustered. Your palms were sweaty through the gloves and you actually felt your hair stick to your forehead, feeling your nerves as you used your hips to lean back and bring your momentum forth as the ball was aiming just over the plate, bat missing the ball. Your teeth had sunk into the soft, supple flesh of your bottom lip on how you messed up. Feeling your mind slither into that dark mindset until your thoughts were interrupted, “Don’t drop your shoulder,”
Natasha’s voice was cool as it layered over the air of the gym, suddenly everything got hotter. But the question was how were you dropping your shoulder, you felt childish with wanting to inquire more. Bat falling to rest against your hips as Brooke stopped feeding the machine balls as you quietly mused out, “Can you show me?”
“Mmhmm,” Hummed out of Natasha’s throat, you swore you could see her eyes darken until she moved the netting and went to stand behind you. A calloused hand found yours over the bat before letting you adjust to the position to where you’d start off at the plate, feeling her hands find your hips to adjust them to ensure they’re balanced as she then went back to the grip of the bat, hands lacing atop of yours before guiding the bat.
“When you were swinging it was going on this path down for you to drop your shoulder to try and get it,” She explained, you felt her guide your hands to what she saw and you felt the drop now. Swallowing thickly as she then guided your hands back to raise again at the start. Elbow pushing against your right arm, bringing you back to have the bat over the plate as you balanced.
You felt like you were in a museum for show how still you were. Frozen midswing on what felt correct as she had her feet  holding you upright as they were something to hold you down, unable to explain the heat that was up on your cheeks until she stepped back. You felt a shiver rush down your skin as she left her spot from behind you, hearing the net move as the coach left the batting cage. The sound of the pitching machine whirred as you prepared your step again, leaning back before swinging your bat as the ball went over the plate. The crack of ball meeting the bat was heard throughout the gym as if it was a practiced war cry.
It was only thirty more minutes of thinking about the redhead, and Natasha watching you. Practice was over, cleaning everything up. Head shifting as you focused on the redhead who was explaining the schedule.
“First game is next week, not a lot of practice time but be prepared on Thursday. We’re home at our fields, please dress for the weather,” Her voice held that soft rasp with a gentle accented touch, it had you swooning. Not like you’d admit that, you’ve never explored romantically nor had an attraction towards others such as your coaches. But Natasha? Something was different and you knew it, eyes narrowing as she added on, “It should be an easy team to beat, checking from their stats they aren’t that good,”
Some murmurs increased from the other girls, Kate who was standing beside you ducked her head to whisper a joke into your proximity but you didn’t catch it fully. Head twisting as Natasha’s eyes landed on you, as if expecting you to say something as your mouth went dry, gulping before finally clicking that you were the team captain. Sputtering out, “Make sure you’re well rested, we’re wearing our red jerseys, white pants and white socks,”
Some nods of agreement with your choice you leaned in to put your fist in the middle of the circle, calling off the team as everyone went to go pack their bags. Before a hand found your shoulder, turning to see Natasha as she leaned in closer before musing out, “Good work today, are you able to come to my office on Monday so we could talk more on where everyone plays and how the team collaborates?”
Her head had tilted slightly to hear Natasha’s hushed words better, humming a little bit before quietly sputtering out, “Yes! Of course coach, I’ll be able to. Thank you,”
Natasha held back a smirk at your words, rushed with a squeaky tone that had her wooing. Hand squeezing your shoulder before letting your shoulder go, humming out as she watched you gather your things. The rest of the team long gone before quietly adding on.
“Oh, and Y/N? Talk to the others about getting too touchy, we can’t play well if we’re too focused on slapping asses,” She tutted, eyes darkening as you turned your head to look at Natasha. You nodded dumbly as you swallowed thickly, walking out of the gym to get to your car as Natasha went to her office. Eyes focusing on the window as she watched your car leave the parking lot, plump lips lifting up into a smirk as she thought of ways to have you to herself. Especially after she noticed your longing glances towards her, at least she figured out it wasn’t one sided. She knew you were clueless, just a little thing that would fit right into her hands, you’d be her perfect baby that she’d spoil and give love to. Clueless you were, it wasn’t until she pulled up her phone and opened the camera she hidden into your car before practice started, ensuring you were to get home safe until she shut off her phone. Listening to the feed as she sat in her chair to work on the paperwork she had left over.
Her thighs pressed together, releasing a quiet huff into the silence of the office as she worked on setting up a lineup. And a message out to the team on new rules to come, rules that would ensure you to be hers.

it was and hour and 30 minutes before the game and you were in your off-campus apartment getting ready. you were putting all of your things in your bag when you got a facetime call from paige. you answered and propped your phone up on the desk in your room, continuing to shove things in your softball bag. “hey.” she said with the phone set up in kk’s room somewhere. “hi.” you say back, “why’d you call?” you asked her. “to tell you that ice and kk are coming with me.” she answered, you smiled and said “okay, well i have to go get dressed so i’ll talk to you later. bye!” you said before hanging up.
you walked over to the uniform sprawled all over your bed and put it on. after you put it on you went in the bathroom and put your hair in a low ponytail. when you were done you put on some slides, grabbed your phone and keys, then went to your car to head to the field.
-
when you got to the field the game was starting in an hour and 13 minutes. the field was ready and most of your teammates were there. “hey y/n.” one of your teammates said as you walked in the dugout. “hi.” you said with a smile and clipped your bag to the fence, grabbing your cleats out and sitting on the bench to put them on. “are you ready for senior night?” another teammate asked you while sitting down next to you, “yes but i’m gonna miss you guys.” you said in a sad-ish tone.
after you got your shoes on, you talked with your teammates and coaches till the other team arrived at 5:00. the game started at 6:00 so this gave both teams an hour to practice before it started. you got a catching partner and threw back and forth till your coach called you guys over to practice batting and fielding.
-
it was currently 5:55 and both teams were in the dugout waiting for the game to start. when paige, kk, and ice got there you came out the dugout and said hi and giving them each a hug then going back in.
since you guys are home team you’re in the field first. you waited for coach to you where to go, “y/n, you’re gonna pitch.” he told you, you nodded and put your glove and face mask on.
you got some practice pitches in and the in and out fielders threw a ball around. at 6:00 the first batter walked up and got ready, you pitched right down the middle, she she swung and it went straight to you. you caught it and she was out.
-
in was now the last inning and you were on third base. your teammate had one more strike before she was out and you guys lost. the pitcher pitched a perfect pitch and your teammate swung, it went in between second and first and you ran to home. the pitcher had the ball when you about to be at home so you slid and the pitcher tripped and landed on you really hard, her face mask flew off her face.
you were safe but your hips hurt really bad and you were gonna be bruised and hurting worse for sure tomorrow. besides everything that jsut happened, you sat up after the other girl got up and cheered, winning one of the most important games of the season.
-
you were in the dugout sitting on the bench with your head thrown back, when ice and kk came in. “where’s paige?” you asked as they sat next to you. “she had to go back to her dorm real quick but she’ll be back in a little bit.” kk said. “i bet your hips hurt.” ice said while looking at you. “they do and bad but it’s fine it’ll go away.” you said while standing up, wincing in pain.
they got up and walked out the dugout while you put your stuff in your bag and said bye to them. now it was time for senior night.
“first up we have y/n l/n, she can play any position and is one of your best pitchers. despite being super clumsy and somewhat reckless, she’s one of our best players.” the coach looked over at you and you limped over to her, stand next to her at the pitching mound. “now on to her stats.” she said as she flipped to a page full of numbers, “she has played all 20 games we’ve been in so far, batted 28 times, struck out twice, hit by pitch 6 times, got on base by hitting 16 times, and got on base by balls 4 times. her highlights of the season are hitting 3 home runs, 1 grand slam, and been the winning runner 4, now 5, times.” your coach informed everyone while you stood next to her smiling super big. “y/n is a great player and i’m gonna miss her when she leaves.” your coach was tearing up and she turned to you and gave you a big hug, and you returned it, starting to cry too.
your turn was done so you walked back into the dugout being hugged by everyone and staying for everyone else’s turn.
-
it was 9:04 and you were walking out the dugout going to find paige and her friends. they were standing by the bleachers talking, “hey guys.” you said to them and they went up to you and said hi and gave you guys and were talking about the game. “are your hips okay?” paige asked you, “they hurt alot but it’ll go away eventually.” you said while placing your heavy bag on the ground.
“well me and kk are gonna go back to our dorm, our uber is here.” ice said and she game you one last hug before walking away, kk giving you a hug and leaving.
“y/n i have a question for you and something for you in my car.” paige said as she grabbed your hands. “what is it?” you asked her. “y/n l/n will you please be my girlfriend?” said asked with a smile and grabbing your waist softly so she didn’t hurt you. “yes, yes i will!” you said as you gave her a kiss.
she kissed back then quickly pulled away. “i have a big as basket full of stuff for you. i had nika and azzi help me pick out things for it.” she said as she held your hand started to walk. you grabbed your bag and followed her, “im excited to see it.” you replied as she took you to her car to get the basket. she opened the car door and handed the basket to you.
“thank you so much p.” you said to her giving the taller girl a kiss. “you’re welcome baby, ill see you tomorrow.” she smiled and got in her car to leave.
