Please stop asking Alan Wilder to return back to Depeche Mode!

As one of the biggest Depeche Mode and Alan Wilder fan I think it's starting to get stupid. When I was younger I also was a "wining bitch" and always have the dream Alan to return to DM, but after few good years and being myself artistic person I completely starting to understand him. It's all like "the dream of a kid that his/her divorced parents will get back together" as Martin Gore said in one of DM interviews. Every single person is having their own path and if you love yourself enough (as Alan did back in the time) you'll go on it. I'm pretty sure that anyone who fills unappreciated for a long time, having lots of creative misunderstanding and conflicts around his workplace and even home (because lets not forget that DM was living together for whatever time when they were creating SOFAD) will not take it anymore. Everyone of them was on their dark places at that time so all of them was with their stress relief substances - Martin and Alan - alcohol; Dave - heroin and Fletch - who knows what....But they managed to create one of their best and influential albums. Because sometime from the darkest places you can get the purest emotions. But all of that drains a person. So for that Alan Wilder left the band... practically to save the small piece of him that was still alive after all of that experience. Imagine you in love with a guy/girl (that is super cool, famous, good looking, rich, etc.) so much, even you know that you are better than them you give the best of you to be noticed... even they like you in the begging you still not sure if you are in a relationship, so you need to prove yourself constantly. Suddenly you are in that dream relationship that you wanted to be, but the particular person is just hanging around, telling you what you can and can not do, till they are partying and etc., so you are left to work with the problems. And all of this is going for few good years till you finally get your voice in that relationship, but your partner isn't appreciate any of your good work and acting like a sassy bitch. And then you starting to live together and to be the best couple in the town, but nobody is seeing how much problems you're having and how you slowly starting to get abused. And the downward spiral is getting deeper and deeper, the stress levels are getting higher and higher till you start to abuse and loose yourself. But you still there because you love them. And one they you realize enough is enough and you leave. And finally everything slowly is getting into places. You are good on your own. But nooo everyone, everywhere is asking you why did you left you amazing beloved ex partner and reminding you all the time how much you've lost and why don't you get back together. And you need to where the memory of that relationship everywhere you go.... What about NO! Now take that example and apply it to the Alan's situation (but extended in a 13 years period)... because I am pretty sure that this is how he is feeling about his relationship with Depeche Mode deep inside (however finance beneficial it was). Then is coming the question is the money and the name more important than yourself - I really don't think so! So the next time you want Alan Wilder to come back in Depeche Mode (if you really love him as you say) think about the person Alan Wilder - because however famous he is, he is a human being like the rest of us - with emotions, thoughts and etc. and NOT ABOUT YOURSELF! Thank you for the attention. Appreciate the art of Depeche Mode and Recoil/Alan Wilder as it is and stop being a "whining bitch". (Sorry for the bad English) Kim Wulff
