Spending 3 years marketing for #bookstagram and the reading community has taught me crucial insights into digital marketing for major, indie, and international publishers and authors. Reading is a fav past time of mine since childhood, and since I've graduated I wanted to work in digital marketing, specifically marketing to readers. This field is ever-growing, changing, and extremely popular, with more people trying to break-in, but you may be wondering "Is it still worth it?" "Is this profitable within the publishing industry?" "Can you make money marketing for publishers?" The answer is YES! In order to stand out and become profitable you must: 1. Determine your niche. Which genre(s) do you want to talk about? Age groups? Formats (hardcover, paperback, audio, or digital)? 2. What's your strategy? Post 1x/day? Vlog? Use Tumblr? Go back to the 1st step and research to determine your unique strategy 3. Analyze your results. Are your videos gaining more traffic, likes, and comments than photos? Is YouTube more profitable than regular blogging?
