Latest Update: AYP give us an insight into community life in Brent through LFJ Project. 

Check out one of our latest videos. This one was created by young people at Ansar Youth Project in Wembley, Brent. After discussing their definition of community and going through some of the areas that were important to them, they independently filmed, interviewed and starred in the video above. We hope you like it. 

Welcome to the July edition of the London Football Journeys newsletter. It has been a month of great learning and growth for us as an organisation, but also of great sadness with tragic events affecting two communities we are due to deliver in. The community response to the Grenfell Tower Fire has shown just how strong we can be together. This has motivated not only us, but many community groups to harness the potential we have to pull together, foster trust and support each other regardless of our diverse backgrounds. We are working with our Ambassadors to provide a youth voice on recent events and to highlight the strength in their own communities. Keep your eye out for their upcoming campaign. We were also very excited to attend a Parent's Evening at future partner school Oaklands in Bethnal Green to meet the newest participants on our programme. Bring on September!

Activities include:

Film making workshops with the ICA

llustration and graphics workshops with the ICA

STEM careers networking

Theatre programme with Southwark Playhouse

LFJ have been learning lots of new things this month. Here is a shout out to all those who are helping us on our journey: The Ubele Initiative - who led us through an interesting and fruitful conversation on youth work with the African Disapora. One Degree - who invited us to collaborate with other inspirational youth organisations across London. Media Trust - for lots of tips and ideas through their social media masterclass with the Aviva Community Fund Social Founders - who welcomed us at the global network for founders of charities and social enterprises. Project Oracle - for inviting us to City Hall to hear all about the huge impact evaluation has had on their youth justice cohort. Thank you to all organisations and partners who help London Football Journeys to learn and grow.

Don’t just fucking vomit up your pseudo-facts, look up some actual facts. They are not that hard to find. All of you need true facts, not lies and opinions. You can use your opinions, of course, just not in place of facts. If any of the aforementioned people want to fight me on this, I will be more than happy to, though after looking through your blogs, I am not expecting a long battle.
