My boy Norphanus had a reeeeally bad night last night. But whew is it gonna get WORSE today when we have our Strahd dinner/finale marathon session... Wonder if he'll be able to actually convince the man to choose peace with his speech (unlikely).

I keep thinking about how Sanji actually DIED. He's the one monster trio member without a giant scar on his chest, I can just see a terrible mark over where his heart used to be, where the bullet struck him... it's so fucked up its DELICIOUS

YEAH!!!! I actually like to think it basically destroyed his heart, so when his body was retrieved they had to put him into a stasis (to slow brain death/decay) and clone him a new heart before they could properly revive him. It's not like it wouldn't be within Judge's skill set seeing as he can clone entire new people! And it would help sell the thought that he try died that day, seeing as you can't really survive without a heart. Indeed, some of the Strawhats (as well as island locals) saw the moment.

They don't sleep well for a good, long time.

(I debate if Luffy was one of the ones who saw and thanks to where everyone was standing and the brutality of the attack, he was thrown back to the moment of Ace's death, which takes him out of the fight for a hot second.)

There's also a thought that in doing so, they might... stick some other things in it just in case. =) Something to control him with, in case he tries to betray them. A failsafe if you want~

Yeah, Judge places a killswitch into the new heart. It can also be used to track him and 'shock' him a little for smaller punishments. Alas, it ends up not doing him much good, as a killswitch only helps if its actually in *your* hand and the new Sanji doesn't spare the details in his plot to destroy the Vinsmokes. ;)

And... well, if it lands in someone else's hand way down the line... who could say if they would use it? Hehehe~

The scar itself is relatively knarly, but its usually hidden under many layers. It's kinda like a knotted starburst directly over his heart, with a slightly smaller version on his back for the exit would.... the weaponry needed to take down the super soilders is not discrete or kind.

Sanji himself has mixed feelings on the whole thing. On one hand, he doesn't really care what happens to himself, he probably deserved it (he's a Vinsmoke and he hates Vinsmokes). It's just a meat-sack, anyways, it doesn't need to be pretty or whatever, it just needs to hold out. But then he's almost disassociated himself, seeing his Pre- and Post-Death selves as completely different people. He doesn't necessarily pity the 'other man' (he doubts he's capable) but is mad at him for being so weak and useless as to let himself get caught in their father's mechanisms again. He couldn't even die properly! And then it enrages him, that they couldn't even let him be free (in death), how dare they rip away his chance at true peace? He can accept them killing him, but bringing him back was their great sin in his eyes.

Looking at his scar reminds him of everything they took from him. That he was forced back onto this hellscape.

His scar aches constantly, thanks in part to him scratching at it when he gets too far in his head (when he's not yanking at his hair, lol) and being generally very tense (his anger has him in constant fight mode, so even with him not acting on the desire, his body is held very tight, straining it. Which, hey, is also not good on a heart!).

Deep within him, there is a piece that feels like the scar is his 'evil' seeping out, a sign of ever ugly thought he ever had, the mark of his descent into hell. That it shows the world that he lost his heart long ago, leaving only a heartless monster in his place.

Needless to say, it's best for everyone's health and sanity that he doesn't look at it much.

Sanji does not have a good relationship with life/death. All he knows is that every moment he's lived that he can remember is full of endless pain and suffering, and that there are evil forces in the world... He's so mad and so, so very tired. He can't see a way out other than death.

You could say he's lost sight of the sun. =)

Sparky and Static both share the last name ”Inazuma”. I doubt this is a coincidence to Genshin Impact’s Inazuma, cuz you draw Genshin stuff sometimes. But it leads me to make some theories/speculations or smth similar.

Sparky and Static are “mirrors” to Ei/her puppet “The Shogun” and Makoto. Sparky and Shogun are both aggressive in their own ways, and both share a (somewhat) callous personality. But unlike Shogun, who can’t think for herself, Sparky is more than aware of what he does because he’s. well. human… atleast somewhat??? You also mentioned that the Creature’s bite also worsened Sparky’s attitude, this lowkey mirrors the Fatui’s influence on the Shogun but thats just me.

Meanwhile, there’s Static and the actual Ei and/or Makoto depending on how you see it. I personally see it as a mix of both but ehhhhhh. Makoto is said to have “cherished each moment within time and space.”, reflecting Static’s love and care for everyone in the group. That’s literally all I can point out because. MAKOTO IS DEAD.

Now, lemme get onto the *fun* part :3

I straight up believe Static is gonna die one way or another in the story. My main theory is that it’s gonna be via the Creature. But yknoooow. Perhaps as a starting point for something like Spark’s character development? I have a feeling he won’t be a jerk forever lol.

I felt hesitant posting this cuz I am straight up just YAPPING. But. Uh. Yeah.

I cracked the code my fellow gamers, Ei and Yae are Sparky and Static’s moms guys TRUST!!!!!! /JJJJJJ

So for firstly

I went with the name Inazuma when i conceptualized the characters back in around 2014, cause since Sparky and Static are japanese so i figured to give them a last name that was fitting since most of OC's names are puns, just relating to personality or their powers, so i just used the japanese word for lightning since it's Sparky elemental power and Static's his brother so they share a last name.

Secondly, I can definitely see that kind of comparison. Sparky is indeed a human, is just the Creature bite gave some of her virus in Sparky, so he's basically a cross between a normal human and a slow mutating Creature (which you can see happen in arts like these where his veins start to glow looking like "cracks" and his eyes turn red and sharp teeth)

And for thirdly, While Static does not die, he does come CLOSE to actually dying, mostly from protecting his brother who, while he can brush off alot of pain and can heal from nearly all fatal blows, is still his baby brother so he wants to be the one protect him. Luckily, Hyrdo had the idea of using one of the meteorite shards (which is what gave the characters their elemental powers) to save Static from blood loss, since it will give him a healing factor and allow him to join the team.

Lastly, while that is an interesting turning point, Static has been one of the few characters Sparky is nicer (more tolerable towards) at the initial start of the series, next to his parents. Its more people not connected to his immediate family he's more inclined to be rude and aggressive towards. However there is a soon similar event that leads to Sparky needing his big wake up call, but not before another tragedy takes place.
