GET ENDLESS DIVE'D BOZO! Ok that may sound alittle too harsh but its true, Oscuri is not having a good time being dragged in there with Sfarx by his evil doppelganger, CD Sfarx, he managed to lure them in his own version of Endless Dive by tricking them into thinking there were formies & GPAs calling for help in an abandoned building but it was a set up to send them into a death trap! Times ticking down all they have is 5 minutes to clear ALL 100 FLOORS to escape feeling the pressure of trying to survive the onslaught took a toll on her physically & when she was being targeted by a replica Float clone, she is knocked down barely hanging on! Enemies from both her & Sfarx's past CD Sfarx pulls from their memories in the simulation to manipulate what they are seeing/fighting in his rigged game! Enemies have been buffed with double defense, speed, & attack power & what makes things worse is that if Oscuri & Sfarx delay any second to try to catch their breath/gain distance the enemies health that they been working hard to whittle down starts regaining quickly! (Think of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Master Mode) Sfarx isn't struggling at all but Oscuri? She having trouble trying to keep herself alive, at most is throwing HP capsules at Sfarx when he gets damaged taking down bosses however she eventually runs out of them! At floor 30 she gets stabbed in the sides of her stomach making her start to bleed out! Sfarx is able to defeat the Float Clone however CD Sfarx takes the chance to mock her situation. Instead of making enemies spawn right there he laughs manically in the monitor screen, watching them struggle was making him very giddy! Now that he witnessed Oscuri's limit he gets extremely happy. Confident they won't make it CD Sfarx mockery echoes very loudly in the simulation. Making Sfarx very annoyed, stressed, & angry he begins to transform into Linework! Before CD Sfarx can actually notice it, Sfarx blasts the monitor screens to shut off his copy's annoying laughter. Their rage lets them power through enemies with ease as linework, when Oscuri recovers its at the 30 seconds mark grabbing her quickly when a beam of light shows up to escape CD Sfarx's twisted simulation.

also i do still love the idea of swapping claire and leon's re2 scenarios but i cannot help but think that the scene with sherry and chief irons would have been a LOTTT worse with leon instead of claire

That one post of my mine predictably aged like fine wine. Never let somebody on comic twitter in the writer's room😭😭😭 Like imagine a 1 to 1 adaptation of literally any event?? -1b at the box office. "Who are these people???"

#Anywayyy I'm writing a retelling of DC and it is honestly so fun to imagine the characters in a new but familiar light #Like the biggest reason why I was never interested in writing fanfic before 2 months ago is because I never felt like those characters were #I felt... uncomfortable writing it not because i thought fanfic was bad or anything but because I felt it was weird to write for example #“XYZ DID THIS AND DID THAT AND DID THIS” like maybe he did?? I wouldn't know I don't know him like his creator!!!#But comic characters feel like more flexible due to the many interpretations over the years but firm enough where I can decide how to take #Certain traits and minimize them or expand on them #Also 1 to 1 adaptations suck balls to write. I'm not sure if that's universal but the whole fun of writing is coming up with new ideas #Writing a straight adaptation would be kind of writing a translation into a new medium. Which isn't bad. Novelization are literally those #But a common sentiment among writers I've seen is that Novelizations aren't that fun either unless you get to experiment either #Adapting comics into a new format and retelling them is kind of hell because you have all these intersecting plotlines and insane events #That's just tangled up in a story with a timeline that literally makes its contradictions into plot lines. But it's FUN coming up with ways #To condense a character's origin and sort of rewire it into the story you want to tell. Because yeah I think a lot of people miss is #that at end of the day #you tell stories about people and their struggles. You need to find a way to fit those moments of joy sadness love.#Like a movie about Jason Todd being RH will never be emotional as Jason Todd dying because you'll have less time to feel the love and pain #that Bruce felt for him. Like sure #flashbacks and exposition but that can only go so far. At the end of the day #It will always be about RH vs Batman. That's what people came to see. But that's not all Jason is. He was Robin before he was RH. A 1 to 1 #Adaptation will never translate that to screen. Plus you (sadly) have shared universes now and a movie can only jump around in time so much #For example in my fic if I wanted to add Tim and faithful to his source material I would need to add so MUCH about Jason death #About like Bruce grieving without skipping all over that and missing the human element. It would severely mess up pacing.#I don't know i love how adaptations can make you see the characters in a new light or elevate the source material #Iwtv my beloved doesn't adapt the books exactly but reimagined in it a way that I like much more #Anyway this proves my point about comic fans being weirdly childish and omfg I hate to use this term...anti intellectual 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨#Everyone who writes or yknow reads should like understand this on a fundamental level. as a huge spyro year of the dragon fan i Hate the reignited trilogy they took all the charm and nostalgia out of it BUT ... spyro's walking/running animation ? they perfected that.

anyone trying to argue fanfic is inherently better than the films, books, and other stories they originate from i just KNOW doesn’t actually watch movies or read or engage with anything outside their favorite ao3 tags

#fanfic just gets into DEEPER THEMES that a blockbuster CANT #like. i get what u mean. sometimes fanfic DOES do that #i just hate when people believe that its impossible for film— especially movies meant to be blockbusters— cant carry strong themes or #dig deep into their own canon #like yeah i could almost agree with that. fanfic DOES have the ability to explore parts of canon that the source material hasnt #(altho sometimes canon doesnt spell everything out to you for a little thing called INTERPRETATION and NUANCE)#but i think that rather than treating fanfiction like a fun side thing and actually arguing its better than what it stems from is just #another symptom of the dumbing down of media ive seen recently #where the majority of the biggest films are products of disney and media conglomerations that value money making formulas over creative #and new stories #like i get it. top box office hits of this year are sequels and prequels and remakes (talking abt usa)#and places like barnes and noble and amazon bookstore would rather create a real life booktok store rather than showcase or even HOLD IN #STORE books that are not getting talked to death online #but if you for one second bother to try and find something other than what youre being sold you will find some WONDERFUL STORIES #watch a foreign film. read a book about a different time or place #go to your closest newbury comics or local record store and buy a fucking cassette tape and throw that shit in your walkman because youve #never seen the band before #i get so frustrated sometimes because people refuse to branch out from fucking fanfiction and marvel movies and spotify top ten #which is FINE. things are popular for a reason. but if youre finding that the most emotionally moving and deepest thing youve read all year #is fanfiction. then i fear you simply have no standards for art #captain’s log #sorry but i saw a lame post here (fanfic is deeper than canon) and got annoyed so i went to tiktok (saw a video that was like remember the #twitter drama this year that said it was ablist to READ) and so i left tiktok and came back here and saw ANOTHER annoying post along the #same lines and it just. never fucking ends

there's a commercial on the local radio station for like at&t or something but it's in collaboration with the wicked movie, so it's a dad basically being like "my whole family is obsessed with wicked, our wifi can barely handle it!" idk it's just. i'm not entirely sure what it is i feel but i just remember how i was obsessed with so many musicals (including wicked) when i was in middle school and it was considered REALLY uncool. like i was a little weirdo for it, and i was always singing and always people were like "ugh shut up already." one time i tried to show my friend "for good" when i graduated eighth grade and her boyfriend (my former friend turned fucking bully asshole) told me "no, don't corrupt her with that!" by showing it to her. which is its own thing but. i don't know it feels weird to hear on the radio someone proudly say their family is obsessed with a musical, even if it is a fake family. it's like ha. in my time i got fucking bullied for that. there is also something strange i feel regarding that specifically as it is an advertisement, which means 1) the point is to advertise the movie (and the wifi) and 2) it's socially acceptable to some level to be obsessed with something that is being hyped up like some big cultural moment.
