took another nap and I still feel exhausted Besides that, I finally listened to the nagging voice in my head and decided to put that silly little man from a couple months back and put him with more silly little people :] ALRIGHT! Now time for a rambles

So far, the main idea is that in this world, being able to perceive ghost in some way isn't unheard of. It's not that everyone has the power to do so, but it had been recorded a couple of times

The two that we're dealing with here are no exception

Theo (The skeptic guy) and Enid (The medium) do ghost hunts/investigations and recording it for fun and for money

Enid

Enid is a calm medium... a bit too calm to the point that when both her life and Theo's are in danger, she doesn't react that much. meanwhile, Theo's scrambling both of them out of there scooby doo style. It's mainly because she's gotten a bit used to these type of things to the point that she forgets that she's responsible for Theo's life as well. She's also usually the one who deals with camera equipment and contacting the caretaker of each place they go :D Enid's power(s) as a medium doesn't necessarily allow her to hear or see ghost all that well, she only hears them occasionally and barely sees them. Despite this, she can still sense them. it can also become stronger if she concentrates hard enough

Theo

Theo is a insomniac who is in a limbo between "Believe it when you see it" to "It's either the wind or I'm just sleep deprived" when it comes to these type of things. Yes, he'd be terrified during the entirety of the ghost hunt. But in a safe distance, He would immediately start coming up with reasons as to why certain things happened.

"Maybe it was an animal in the wall" "it was too dark, probably pareidolia" "Maybe someone lives there and wanted us to leave" So on, so forth

Usually deals with editing and channel management

Reu/Reuben

in the spirit world, ghost need something from the human world to be attached to in order to not disappear over time

Reu just so happened to get interested in these two weirdos and got attached to Theo due to how oblivious he is to the ghosts around him

Kind of like a cat when a human doesn't dote on them immediately

Side note: I thought it would be funny if Reuben tried to tell Theo and Enid his name through the spirit box but it only came out as Reu, leaving him to go along with it

overall, Reu follows them around because he thought they were fun to watch (And he occasionally messes with them-)

as for how he died!

He doesn't remember how he died and has no idea why he's wearing gakuran uniform so he just assumes that the person who buried him went from japan to wherever the story takes place

for the duration of being dead, he was mainly just living off of his own will without any attachments... well not until he met Theo and Enid

Oscar/Emerald/Ren/Nora: (Chugging beers)

Nora: AAAH~! Damn, that's good~!

Ren: Nora, did you walk all the way over here from work?

Nora: Uh-huh~! (Pops in peanut) I've been on my feet all day, so it's about time I gave my dogs a break~! Bartender, another round! On me~!

Emerald: Well, well, looks who's moving up in the world.

Nora: How you been, Emmy? You still getting funding for that orphanage?

Emerald: More like scrounging. But, after everything that's happened, I've got no doubts that we'll survive.

Oscar: Well, that's good, right?

Emerald: And even if things go wrong, I'm not going to let everything we've all worked so hard for go to waste.

Oscar: (Nods)

Emerald: Just you wait- Someday, there won't be any more orphans because they'll all have a loving home. Let me know if any of you are interested in adoption.

Ren: I'll think about it, but I've already got my hands full with my own kid.

Emerald: Hands so full that you have time to go out drinking?

Oscar: Ha ha! She's got you there, Ren!

Nora: BEER'S HERE~! And hey, it's been way too long since we've gone out like this, so I say we all get hammered~!

Ren: You mean the drinking way, right?

Oscar: Another toast!

Oscar/Emerald/Ren/Nora: CHEEEEEERS~!

Nora: So... Jaune said he couldn't make it?

Oscar: Yeah. Same with Ruby.

Nora: Aw... What's the point of going out drinking if everyone isn't here?

Oscar: Well, they're a lot busier than we are, y'know. Jaune's the Headmaster of New Beacon and Ruby is THE Silver-Eyed Hero.

Emerald: Too bad.

Ren: Yes, but Oscar has a point. We might be old teammates, but we're on opposites ends of Remnant than them, both physically AND metaphorically. They have a public image to uphold and, well, we're part of that public. And it's not like we'll never see them again. As they say, no news is good news.

Oscar: Right.

Nora: So, how y'all been? Still keeping on it with "Ozpin's gift"?

Oscar: It's weird not having another voice in my head, but... I think I'm making due without his help with my magic. Ren's already helped me out a ton.

Ren: Aura and magic are different, but not so different that they can't use similar methods to achieve the same results.

Oscar: And I'm grateful for everything you've done.

Ren: I know, and I appreciate it. Though I wish you had a semblance to back up your no-aura fighting style.

Nora: Still no semblance?

Emerald: Not that he needs it. He's already cool enough without one.

Oscar: Khm! Uh, y-you think so?

Ren: (Looks to Nora)

Nora: (Looks to Ren)

Emerald: I need to use the bathroom. (Withdraws from seat)

Nora: ...So, how are things with Emerald?

Oscar: Huh?

Ren: When did you go on your date?

Oscar: Wh- What are you talking about?!

Nora: (Sighs) I expected nothing, and I'm still disappointed...

Ren: I thought that you were too busy to go on a date with her, but I didn't think it was this bad. How tragic.

Oscar: H-Hey! Wait a minute! What are you guys-

Nora: Oscar, it's obvious you've got a thing for Emmy.

Oscar: Wh- What?! That's... Uh... W-Well... Um...

Ren: You're not exactly subtle. Haven't you noticed all the extra space everyone has given you two?

Oscar: Extra space?!

Nora: Forget about it. What's important is that you make a move, and the best time is now!

Ren: You're both doing well enough for yourselves, so it might be time to think about this.

Oscar: I mean, yes, but-

Nora: Think about it, Oscar; what excuse are you gonna make when some OTHER guy shows up and sweeps her off her feet? You think a girl like her who meets with rich guys on the regular for funding the orphanage ISN'T catching their attention? Pretty sure you've got more than a little competition, hm?

Oscar: Agh... I'm no good with that kind of stuff, though. I don't even know where to start!

Ren: It might be best if Emerald doesn't hear you say that. But in all seriousness, you should ask her out when we all leave here tonight. Ask her, "Hey, you wanna get together, just you and me~?" That should be more than enough.

Nora: You should listen to Ren. He knows what he's talking about with this kind of thing.

Oscar: (Gulps)

Emerald: (Returns) ...What are you smiling about, Ren? Torchwick had that same kind of look when he was scheming something.

Ren: My mind is an enigma. That reminds me. The other day...

Oscar: (Glances at Emerald)

Oscar: (Looks away, Gulps)

Oscar: Are you okay, Nora? You're zig zagging.

Ren: I'll take her home. It's past her bedtime anyways.

Nora: I can walk! I can walk!

Emerald: But for how long?

Nora: Later, guys~! Let's do this again sometime~!

Emerald: Heh... Sounds good. See ya.

Ren: (Walks by Oscar, Grips shoulder) You've only got one life. Live it to the fullest.

Oscar: Ren...

Ren: C'mon, Nora, let's go. (Leaves)

Nora: (Toddles after him) H-Hey! Slow down! You know the road is bumpy here! (Leaves)

Emerald: I didn't know she could drink that much. Do you think she'll be alright?

Emerald: ...I guess I should get going, too. See ya later, Oscar.

Oscar: ...

Emerald: (Walking away)

Oscar: (Gulps) W-Wait, Emerald!

Emerald: (Turns) Huh?

Oscar: Uh... A-Actually, it's nothing.

Emerald: It's not nothing. C'mon. Spit it out.

Oscar: No, no, really. Forget I said anything...

Emerald: ...Alright then. Good night then.

Oscar: ...Emerald!

Emerald: Did you drink a lot, too? What's going on with you?

Oscar: Sorry, I... (Sighs) Listen... Do you... wanna hang out sometime?

Emerald: (Snickers) What? You had so much fun you want to do this again? We agreed to do another one AFTER the next orphanage milestone, remember?

Oscar: No, no! Er, not like that...

Emerald: ...?

Oscar: (Breathes) Just... Just us. You know, like... together?

Emerald: ...

Oscar: ...

Emerald: (Walks away)

Oscar: (Raises hand, She's gone)

Oscar: (Slumps down, Sitting) I blew it... I... I blew it...

Oscar: (Scroll buzzes) Man, what now?! (Looks at scroll) EMERALD?! (Answers) H-Hello?

Emerald: (Via scroll) Hey... Sorry I panicked. I just... I wasn't expecting that.

Oscar: (Stands) No, no! I'm sorry! I was rude to drop something like this on you like that!

Emerald: I... think I have some free time next Saturday.

Oscar: ...Huh?

Emerald: You wanted to hang out, right? Just the two of us?

Oscar: ...Wait... Y-You mean...

Emerald: I'm looking forward to it. Anyways, see ya~! (Hangs up)

Oscar: ...

Oscar: (Curls into himself, Leaps into the air)

HUZZAAAAAH~!

Oscar: I DID IT~! SHE SAID YEEES~! (Running, Jumping) WOOHOOHOOHA~! (Swooping between people passing)

Bum: Huh? Oh, it's the Wizard Boy...

Oscar: (Grabs him off the street, Dancing) YO! I'M SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU, MAN~!

Bum: (Shoves him off) What the hell's the matter with you?!

Vagrant: Eh? The hell's goin' on over here?

Oscar: HEY, BUDDY~! (Grabs him, Hugs) Guess what?! I did it! I finally did it~!

Vagrant: You did what?! Agh, you stink of booze!

Oscar: (Grabs both of them, Dancing) Aw, c'mon, fellas! This is HUGE~! Don't spoil the party! C'mon! Dance! DANCE~!

Bum: Knock it off, you drunk!

Oscar: JUST ROLL WITH IT, MAN~! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!
