The animosity between Crowley and the rest of the staff is unspoken, shared through passing glances and dry remarks at meetings, and though the matter is "settled", in Crowley's own words, no one seems keen on letting it go anytime soon.

Your uniforms are tailored and rightly fit, you're given a proper meal plan, even Ramshackle is decorated with a few of Crewel's personal touches. A throw rug here and there, a fresh coat of paint, anything to cover up the rotting interior and turning it into something worthy of envy.

"...Given that Grim doesn't start shedding everywhere," Crewel had said. "Ugh, pets."

The rest of the staff are just as helpful, citing your recent experience with the bidding war as reason to take it easier on you for a while (or for the rest of the semester, really). Trein gives you less homework, Sam "accidentally" doesn't ring you up a few items...

It starts to feel more like the entirety of the staff has adopted you.

Not that you mind, of course. This is the closest thing you've had to family since... well, since coming here.

There's just the one thing, though.

"I don't know why you waste your time with those untrained pups. Honestly. The idea of their tacky shoes touching the rugs in here..." Crewel sighs. His eyes turn to you. "You know, I hear Vil Schoenheit has been looking for someone to take to his next shoot..."

Ashton chuffs. "Don't be ridiculous, they need someone who's strong enough to take care of them! Kingscholar is a real star once he gets motivated,"

"Please tell me I didn't just hear that," Crewel massages his temples. "And might I add, I'm their father, not you. I give the blessing. You're more like the unwelcome uncle crashing the family barbeque."

Grim nudges you with his elbow, muttering a quick yikes before darting out of the kitchen. You groan in embarrassment. "Guys..."

"I'm just thinking about what's best for them," Ashton says, puffing out his chest. "They're at an age where they're going to start thinking about dating, and we want them to make good choices."

"Guys,"

"Exactly. Schoenheit is a perfect gentleman, a master in my class, and has the style to back him up. Kingscholar can demonstrate occasional intelligence, but he's still another housecat," he shudders. "The shedding..."

A tired voice from the doorway interrupts their tense back-and-forth, much to your relief.

"Goodness, the two of you, at this again?" Trein scoffs, taking a seat at the table. "This conversation is highly inappropriate. You shouldn't be controlling the poor thing's romantic prospects, if they even have them. When the time comes, the choice will be theirs to make."

Crewel huffs, rolling his eyes and leaning against the table. Ashton kicks his feet. And neither utter another word.

"Good," Trein says, then clears his throat. "Ahem. But that's not to say that we can't offer our guidance. That Vanrouge did quite well on the last History of Magic exam..."

Now I'm gonna be totally honest, I DO have a favorite twin and its Ingo <XDD But I also fully understand and support your point!

What makes Ingo and Emmet so fun and interesting to me is their bond! How they mirror each other, how they interact, their strength as a team! Sure separating them for the angst is great an all- but truly showing them together and more importantly as equals is where the good stuffs at!

This is also why I usually try to wrap up their separation arcs in my AUs, and also don't really enjoy reading any Legends Arceus content.. seeing Ingo alone is not only heartbreaking,, but its also just not as fin. Ingo and Emmet are stronger together :)

Thank you so much for giving my comic another chance :D Demeter in my mind is an extremely complex character, she loves Persephone dearly but sometimes parents can overdo that love in a way where they do not want to see them grow up, especially if they make them their whole world. Demeter so far has alienated every God away which is also what is making her want to keep Persephone even closer to her chest.

Persephone loves her mother and would never want any harm come to her. She would absolutely come to her defense. In one of the recent episodes she also mentions their fight to Hades but waves it off as a: we often do that.

it is unfortunate that they can't communicate in a calm way but sometimes arguing is equally valid for vocalizing ones wants and needs, despite how hurtful it can be, which in this case was effective because the next morning we see Demeter regretting her harsh words. Just.. sucks Persephone wasn't there to hear it XDDD

I've always wanted to ask since it's never definite and changes based on adaption, but what's your preference for Panchito's last name? Pistoles? Romero Miguel Francisco Quintero Gonzalez III? No last name at all? Some combination like Pistoles being a stage name? If he lived with José in Rio long enough could he eventually adopt Carioca? It seems to differ for everyone which is one of the cool fandom things

HI! SO- I can safely say I don't consider Panchito's surname to be "Pistoles". To me, that's his stage name and an American stage name at that!! Getting a little meta for a bit here, the name "Pistoles" was chosen for the character simply because it was easier for the American audience to pronounce it with an "e" instead of the original "a" in the spanish word for "pistols". So, going back in universe, imagine that in the 1940s when the Three Caballeros commissioned a small series of posters with the little money they had, they all came with a typo in Panchito's name because of the language barrier/miscommunication with the print shop. But in the end Panchito kinda digged that XDDD "NO, LEAVE IT IN!!! It makes it new and exciting, guys!!!" Paco might say, upbeat and always seeing the bright side of every situation. I like to imagine that his nickname in his hometown and stage name in México was "Panchito Pistolas" and just "Panchito" for family and friends. As for his actual surname I really dig the House of Mouse version, (Panchito Romero Miguel Junípero Francisco Quintero González Tercero) even if it means he would be Francisco twice XD, tbh not the weirdest naming decision to happen in latin america by far...

AS FOR JOSÉ!!! Well, first, I don't think that either one of them would adopt any of each others' surnames (but this is my own bias because I kinda hate the whole changing names for marriage and the burocracy it entails-) Also I'm in the fence whether to consider "Carioca" to be José's real surname or not. This is very much me overanalyzing the character but we are in the "overanalyzing stupid characters website" so whatever- The thing with José is that, here in Brazil, "Zé Carioca" reads simply as a very descriptive nickname meaning "guy from Rio". Reason why I can totally see it being just a nickname that later got turned into a stage name for him. So, it also doesn't make sense to me for Panchito to have it in his name, that Bitch (affectionate) isn't carioca! But anyways, just to clarify, can "Carioca" be a surname? Yes, absolutely!! It is, in fact, a surname that exists in Brazil although it's not a very popular one. But when you consider the character's history and also Zé's cousins (the joke with them being that each has a regional name after "Zé" indicating where they are from), the idea you get is that Carioca is not a family name but a label. The comics have also shown us some of Zé's relatives that could indicate what other alternative surnames he may have but, mind you, none of this means that Zé would have inherited these particular surnames! So we're still in headcanon valley here. First, there are Zé's two grandads: Zé Paiva (or Zeca Paiva) and Josué Carioca. We don't know which one is from mother's side or father's side tho. And later there are more relatives, including two grandmas, one from the Dutch comics, Oma Carioca (aka vovó Carioca), and the other from a recent Culturama release, Isaura Araripe. Once again we don't know which one represents the mother's side and which represents the father's side. In the Culturama special story tho, José's family, including himself, identify as "Araripe" (a real surname but also a play on the word "arara" meaning "macaw" in portuguese).

So, we coooould make Zé Carioca's registry name be any mix of these like "José Araripe Carioca" or "José Paiva Araripe" OR "José Carioca Araripe" OR "José Paiva Carioca" OOOOR if you're a fan of long names "José Carioca Araripe Paiva". The mother's family name comes first in Brazil but since we don't know which one that would be, you can pick and choose to your heart's content. I said all that BUT I'm also a big fan of the "descriptive" nature of "José Carioca" as a name for the character, because it almost grants him a kind of anonimity. There are millions of Zés in Brazil and millions of cariocas (in relation to place of birth) too. Which makes him LITERALLY JUST A GUY!!! Just a little guy commiting scams all around and nobody fucking knows his real name-- A REAL POWER MOVE in my opinion. That said, I would also find it very funny if he had the most WIDELY USED Brazilian surname and ONLY THAT, making him "José Silva" or "José da Silva", so he could maintain that "generic guy" energy in his registry name as well.

Isn't a secret that the sad story of the end of "Syd" was a real trauma to Roger Waters and the others. Just ten years after the musical career of Syd ends, they film the movie. Basically, Pinky is half Syd and half Roger. Im pretty sure they made a tribute , or maybe a silence cry from the sad trauma they lived with him. Lets begin :

At the begining of the movie when Pinky is with the mitical "cigarret without smoke full ash" Roger told that he found Barret in the same position with the same cigarrete in one of his " acid travels. "

At the same point, Syd mother was always overprotective, keeping him in his own "Bohemian basement" and when someone of the past of Syd wanna go near him she and his sister always stoped them. My opinion about ep 8 - Jason and Amanda's routes

Hi! I'm sorry for my absence for the last month! I'm going to be really busy with college this year, I forgot to write my review of ep 7 and I'm a bit late with ep 8, but I'm still here! Haha

I finally played ep 8! I don't have the VIP now, so I had to wait and I was a bit scared seeing other people's controversial opinions about this ep. My conclusion after playing it is that this episode was… weird. Not as awkward and horrible as I thought it would be, reading other reviews, but as others said I also had the feeling that this ep has a script that would have been more believable in a HSL-type story, since the behavior of the characters seems more like that of a group of teenagers, than adults who work in the same company. It has some similar vibes to HSL in eps 9 and 12 (I loved those eps), when Candy wanted to see Lys' tattoo it was funny and plausible, even innocent since she just wanted to see him shirtless, and not his private parts, plus it led us to find out a secret of Nathaniel's that would later lead us to an important point in his backstory, so it was justified at least as far as "plot excuse" goes, but in a situation with co-workers… it doesn't fit me, and even less if it's in a filler ep. I don't know if it's because they thought about this ep when New Gen was still in the process of being a new HSL, or they just thought that this theme would fit in this environment as well. But it doesn't work for me.

Anyway, I'm happier than ever that my main and secondary routes are Jason and Amanda, since in Jason's route I had the chance to warn Roy and in Amanda's I was able to take her side and against the plan to spy on Roy, warn him too, which in both situations was for me and my OCs (according to their personalities) something much more comfortable. That's why the ep wasn't creepy to me, since it wasn't a "let's catch our coworker naked and without consent" but a "let's have fun watching Roy surprise and get revenge on them."

Amanda received complaints in the fandom for being immature in some previous eps like 3, but in this ep she has been the most mature of all and I love her for it, and the moments with her were wonderful! If this ep was fun and comfortable for me it was largely thanks to her. And I truly felt that things were happening here that made the relationship between Amanda and my Candy advance. I really liked both the conversation they had about how she shouldn't care what other people think about her and how she was grateful that Candy took her side, as well as the date to the spa, both enjoying massages, canapés and scented candles. QUEENS <3

About Jason, I'm tired of us always being in a vulnerable position with him instead of the confident and equal enemies-to-lovers that I would like, however, I was glad that at least he showed respect and consent towards my character, THANK YOU, and I like that he wasn't involved at all in the rest of the plot of this ep, and I liked the special scene of my oc imagining a kiss with him caught me by surprise and was very funny! However, I needed something more, ep 7 had a very emotional scene between them and I really hoped to see something more in this ep that developed their relationship, and I didn't see it. But I have hopes that it will improve. Btw: I can't help but laugh thinking that if my character wasn't there, Jason might have accidentally found Roy naked, wtf XDDD

The scene where I was in the locker with Elenda and Brune pressed up against me… BV when am I going to be able to kiss my girls?? I felt it was a least another good enough situation to get an illustration with them, like the scene of holdings hands with both in ep 6. I miss to get illus with friends like in the previous games ToT

Also, Roy was great during this ep. I'm aware that Devon and Elenda are friends of his since childhood and so they knew that Roy would take that joke in good stead, but still, Devon is supposed to be the boss of our company, he should be more mature and set a limit for the others.

However, I've a painful confession to make, (and please don't judge me, I know Thomas has a lot of fans and I don't mean to offend them), Thomas is supposed to be my third route, but I've decided that I'm not going to do this ep with him, at least not for a while. His behavior in this ep towards Roy has bothered me too much. Roy is his coworker and he's always been nice to him, he doesn't deserve to be embarrassed and have his privacy exposed like this, they're supposed to be friends! Not enemies like Jason with them! Also, I've been finding in these last few episodes that the answers that raise the lovometer with Thomas don't fit with me or my oc at all, and I'm not willing to keep lying just to raise the lovometer. I don't know what I'll do in the future, maybe I'll go back to the Thomas route if he wins my heart again in the next eps, or maybe not, and in that case I'll do the Roy route on that account instead.

Overall, thanks to Amanda and Roy, the episode in my Jason-Amanda routes was very funny, fortunately, and I'm also aware that New Gen is fiction and you shouldn't take it the wrong way, yes, I don't, but honestly, if BV wanted to make an episode with an excuse to show Roy naked and/or Candy having a moment like that with her crushes, I think they could have done it better in another way. The only scene I see justified and believable enough is Amanda's, since they're in a spa and they're women. And I'm not talking about realism, I'm talking about verisimilitude within fiction. I don't know, maybe they all went to a nude beach for some event instead of the pool? And then Candy took a bath like that as a challenge or because a wave made her lose her bikini? Or that Candy wins a free couple spa session ticket and invites her crush! Or that Candy catches Roy naked by mistake simply because she's curious to see him during his common training and she didn't know he bathed naked afterwards? Or that the whole "Roy goes naked in the pool" thing was just a false rumor made up by his fangirls and that when Roy arrived he laughed and said that it was all a lie or that he had spread the rumor to play a joke on them in revenge for something they had done to him before. Or better: wait for more episodes, when we were already in a relationship with our route, and then a nude scene with our route would arise in a more natural way? Like you and your partner wanting to swim together in the private pool at Candy's house, for example, or shower together. At least those scenarios wouldn't let Thomas, Devon and the others act like a bad friend to Roy.

Lastly, something positive: all the images were wonderful! The faces and bodies of all the characters are very beautiful, the luminosity and colors are also very well done, and I liked that there was some variety in some routes and not all of them were in the pool. Also, I was really glad to guess that the promotional image of Candy with the towel belonged to Jason!

NUEVE/DR. EDISON

Believe it or not, one of my favourite antagonists in Ejen Ali is Dr. Aaron Edison AKA. Nueve! To be honest, he wasn't really my favourite character during the first season of Ejen Ali, until I read about Dr. Edison's backstory in Ejen Ali : M.A.T.A Secret Files

(Keep reading for spoilers + commentary!)

I like the fact that in the first part, it starts off with Aaron just straight up being a brat by treating the other competitors and his teammates like garbage (lmao). However, if you were to read this comic a few times, and his dialogue, you just know that he (probably) is on the Autism Spectrum, or in someway neurodivergent.

Instead of fighting or apologising to his teammates, he straight up just explains about how humans used to fight amongst themselves to determine who is the most dominant (Alpha), genuinely thinking that this is a viable solution to the situation that he has unfortunately put himself in, due to his poor leadership and social skills.

It shows that during his juvenile years, either Aaron (or his parents) was aware about it or not, he has always been showing signs of neurodivergence ever since the beginning. Although he is a savant in STEM, and (most likely) has a special interest in human evolution, his neurodivergence has caused him to get into trouble, and struggle to interact with peers of his age.

This panel genuinely cements my headcanon that Dr. Aaron Edison has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The monochrome panel shows Aaron's attempt on deescalating the situation that he his in, by attempting to psychoanalyse his teammate (Perhaps trying to relate his teammate in some way?). However, he doesn't realise that his words can be taken as sarcasm, or as an insult. This shows that Aaron has trouble reading social cues, especially during his juvenile years.

In the second part of the comic, we see Dr. Edison, now as an young adult, is on his way to achieve his ambitions on being Cyberaya's Top Scientist. He was able to gain the attention of Dr. Tong, the Lead Biotech Researcher of Tong Industry with his prototype, the Neuro Drive.

However, he has now developed a superiority complex, believing that he is the "future of the human race", while anyone who opposes him have "small, unevolved minds".

Other than that, he has also developed some sort of an Antisocial Personality Disorder, as he not only believes that emotions are "useless" and is an obstacle to human progress, but he is willing to use others to achieve his goals, even as far as using them as unwilling lab rats for his prototypes.

We may not know what he went through before he started his career at Tong Industries, but we all know that the paths he went through his life has unfortunately shaped him into the villain he is today.

Although I wished that WAU would make him go through a redemption arc, the chances of them doing so might be quite slim. But honestly, we don't know what they're planning to do with him! Because if they just want to keep him as a villain, with or without Numeros, why even bother to write a backstory for him? 👀👀👀

If WAU were to make Dr. Edison go through an arc, it would be an absolutely, extremely hard and complex arc he would have to face. Not only he has to live and cope with the trauma working with Numeros (especially Cinco), he basically has to reevaluate his life decisions, as well as face his inner demons (I'm sure his Superiority Complex and his Antisocial Personality Disorder doesn't come out of nowhere....).

I'm sure writing an arc like this is extremely complicated, especially when Ejen Ali (the series) is primarily targeted towards kids and adolescents. But if the WAU crew is able to pull something off like this, it would've been revolutionary to Malaysia's animation industry, considering Malaysian society, especially Malaysian media, rarely touches on mental health and struggles in facing traumatic incidents, neurodivergence and mental illnesses.

Other than Kaufmo having a dark sense of humor and being good friends with Jax.. also his brotherhood with that other clown guy.? I'm still developing his character..

However, there's something I've been thinking about for Kaufmo and his brother. I kind imagine the turning point in their relationship to look like this scene with Lars and Steven. Specifically 2:06 to 2:58

I'm thinking that Kaufmo entered the circus first and then his brother followed a few minutes later. Kaufmo eventually assumed that his brother is trapped here because he tried to follow him. He feels so guilty about it.. but at the same time.. he's kind'a glad he's here. Kaufmo doesn't know what he'd do if he didn't have his brother by his side..

Abstractions are still a thing and there's supposed to be a handful of people who have abstracted. Caine tries everything he can to prevent abstractions and he takes this handful of humans as a hard and cold warning that he isn't trying hard enough..

After their abstractions he keeps them in the cellar because the dark and wide open environment with a shallow pool of water at their feet seems to.. keep them calm.. for some reason..

Caine has never stopped trying to unabstract these people and he will never stop trying..

The others are aware of abstraction and have seen it happen.. Sometimes Caine will allow other circus goers to visit their abstracted friends when they are at their calmest.

I have yet to decide if abstraction will be reversable in my AU.. 👀

Absolutely! If they ever wanted to Caine would relaunch the code for that adventure :)

Some of that comes from the support and effort from Caine to keep everyone sane. And a lot of that comes from the other circus goers providing an immense amount of comfort and emotional support <:}}

I imagine that Caine wouldn't thrust Pomni into an adventure right away. He would spend some time with her to delicately explain the situation and who he is. He would maybe then show her around a bit but eventually he would just leave her alone in her room for a while for her to process everything.

Eventually she would calm down and Caine would create a very mild in-house adventure to help her settle in and introduce her to the other members of the circus.

I think the 4 ace cards for a head is a neat design! But the giant hands.. I'm sure there's a reason for it but I'm not a fan- 💀

You know I read the tags when people reblog things from me and I just read one of yours and it was #making rules only to bend them later. Except I read it as making rules only to BED them later and I thought, huh? Is this an expression I don't know? Until I realized I had merely misread. But now I'm wondering why we merely bend rules. Why not put them to bed, lay them to rest cause we don't need them at the moment. We can wake them up in cause we want those rules back. Anyway, I thought I'd share this strange thought straight from my brain :D

Yeah, why do we? Maybe humans fear if they set the rules aside entirely, their "power" will begin to lessen and they won't pick those healthy/necessary/etc. habits back up again? Or maybe the appeal is in the ability to rebel, then turn back when they choose? I do know there's a name (which I forgot) for the "phenomenon" of purposefully staying up past one's bedtime-- an effort to reclaim some "me time" a person feels robbed of during their normal or busy routine. Maybe that would qualify as bending, not breaking, a rule? And maybe the human ego or the human fill-in-the-blank doesn't want to see themselves as "a person who has/keeps that rule", so they bend-not-break to keep that image of themselves to themselves intact? (...I'm going to be thinking about this for a while.)

You know sleuth detective au right? What if stalker was dropped into that would and replacing sleuth y/n role? What would be their interaction with sun and moon? Would stalker immediately join clips side because their hot? Would stalker be a rich from a rich collector from a well known family who basically tries to find their perfect boyfriend and they stumbled upon sun and moon? What are the implications?

Stalker would be the daughter of a prestigious family. Always loving the robots, they put together free charging stations for them after the revolution. Being a known inventor, they were always trying to make people’s lives easier, usually specifically animatronics’

Once, at one of the fancy parties their parent’s made them go to, there was a shoot out between the police and some gang you’d hardly heard of. Their sloppy work explained why they wouldn’t last long.

But imagine Stalker’s surprise and delight at the sight of the sexiest and bad888 pair of animatronics’ they’ve ever seen.

They immediately started flirting with the boys. Literally immediately.

Stalker would 1,000% just show up at their house in a sexy dress and wait for them.

Would also talk cases with them and try to invent things for them to make their jobs easier. They would also use their status to get in places they shouldn’t be in to get the dirt the boys need to put the criminals away.

They would also try to play the sexy broad who needs saving, but will often just save themselves so the boys have more time to focus on them.

As for Eclipse’s part in this…

Well, lets just say stalker’s mom is still trying to marry her off

Eclipse is very aware of Stalker’s hobbies besides inventing and has every intention to use that against them.

I am in the process of brainstorming lore for Sapsorrow's Rings, but absolutely Shanks had one. T'would be a shame for it to, I don't know, wash up on a deserted island to be found within the hands of someone wild huntress of a woman.

You really do have to have a midnight explore in a castle in your nightdress. It wouldn't be the same without it: especially if it means she gets to catch out a precious Farm-Hand bringing her fresh flowers and humming to himself.
