You look up at the large painting on the wall. Acrylic paints hold each brushstroke in a suspended image, frozen in time. Even the carefully blended sections hold the evidence of their creation. A sheet coating of varnish makes the colors pop into a stunning vibrancy.

You’ll be the first to admit, it’s a bit experimental. The colors are chaotic and poorly laid out when compared to artists like Piet Mondrian, with seemingly no limit to the palette used. Your agent had been hesitant to put it in the exhibit at all, but you’d insisted. Now that you’re in the thick of it, you watch people in suits barely give it a glance as they pass from one painting to the next, and hear the occasional snicker from art snobs who only really like art when the artist is dead.

The rest of the works are ‘safe’, staying within the realms of comfort for buyers and gawkers. But this one… It’s the only one that sings to those willing to listen.

“There’s not many people appreciating this one.”

You jump a little at the voice that comes from beside you. A man, dressed in a simple but expensive suit, stands with his hands in his pockets as he looks at the painting. His purple hair and relaxed posture make him stand out like a sore thumb in a place like this.

He tilts his head to look at you, smiling. “Do you like it?”

Stumbling over yourself, you nod. Nobody has spoken to you about your work yet tonight. You can’t let the opportunity go, lest your agent get on your case about it. “Y-Yes, it’s my favorite.”

“Really?” There’s a twinkle in his eyes as he looks back up at the piece, and then glances at the other, markedly more popular, works around it. “Huh, how come?”

You glance at the other works, too. They’re just as familiar as you remember them.

Looking into the eyes of a portrait, you can recall the struggles of getting it just right so the figure is easily recognizable. The realistic painting of a cat stalking a mouse brings to mind the mind-breaking efforts of painting fur strand by strand. Most of the works are like that; easy-to-grasp realism, depicting things people would be interested in buying. A koi fish distorted by the ripples in a pond. Water droplets on a foggy mirror. A sunset. Each one with their own agonies, recalling only the pain of their production. Your agent’s voice repeating time and time again that this is what it takes to get into a gallery and have people be interested.

You look up at the big painting and all you feel is pride, peace, and like a burden has been lifted off your chest.

You settle for a more sophisticated answer. Your agent always said not to ruin the image of an artwork by pointing out the rough details. “Well, while the others are all technically correct, this one has more emotion and passion behind it.” You look at him, biting your cheek, hoping you answered ‘correctly’.

He cocks his head to the side, taking in the emotion and passion you mentioned. “It’s my favorite here, too,” he finally says after a minute. “It’s more genuine, like you said. The rest are all surface level and boring. They exist to appeal to a wider audience, but they don’t feel true to the artist’s intentions. Here, it feels like the artist has transcribed their soul onto canvas with each color and brushstroke.”

Your heart flutters. He… He really sees past the exhibition. He sees more than the price tags and art collectors.

He turns to you with that same relaxed grin, though something playful dances at the corners, reflected in his eyes. “Their whole soul is here, but nobody seems to care about it. Ironic, huh?”

You nod slightly. You can’t deny it; the most important artwork to you has become reduced to amateurish abstraction by the other attendees. You’re more certain now that it will not be purchased tonight. “Yeah…”

A hand taps your shoulder. You turn to see your agent, an older woman with dyed brown hair pulled into a tight bun and thin-framed glasses perched on her sharp nose. “There you are! I’ve been looking all over for you!” Your agent huffs with barely-contained irritation. She smiles quickly at the man, no joy behind the gesture. “Madame Shrike wants to talk to you about commissioning a portrait! Come on, we can’t keep her waiting!”

A commission? Your heart skips a beat. You can’t tell if it’s from excitement or dread. Your agent grabs your arm to drag you over, but you stop to turn to the man. “Oh, I’m sorry, I have to go! But it was nice talking to you, Mr…?”

The man’s eyes widen slightly, the realization of who this art belongs to catching up with him. His smile doesn’t falter despite the surprise. “Rafayel.”

You smile in return. “Thank you for your observations, Mr. Rafayel. I hope you enjoy the rest of your night.” You turn and follow your agent with hurried footsteps as you struggle to keep up with her rapid pace.

Rafayel turns back to the painting. His eyes roam the colors, trying to seek out the layers to this self-portrait of the soul now that he knows just who it belongs to. Thomas sighs as he comes to stand beside him.

“Thought you snuck out again,” he says. He looks up at the painting with disinterest. The only reason they were there at all was to rub elbows with potential buyers for an upcoming exhibit. “Have you spoken to anybody at all since getting here?”

Rafayel smirked, like he’s just been told some juicy gossip. “I have, actually. I spoke to the artist being shown tonight.”

“Really? What did you say to them?”

“I insulted their art.”

Thomas’s face dropped immediately. “What?!” he hisses in a stressed whisper. “Do you have any idea what that could do to your image?!”

Rafayel’s eyes widen as he blinks dumbly at his manager, pretending to be shocked as he puts a hand over his chest. “I have no idea. How?”

Thomas shakes his head and turns back to the colorful painting. “You’re insufferable sometimes.” Rafayel chuckles to himself, all too proud of his little joke. “What did they say?”

There’s a bristle from the brush you were using caught in a stroke of red. He wonders what they’re made out of, where you got them, how long you’ve had them for. He wonders how many more bristles he’d find in the rest of your work.

Ignoring Thomas’s question completely, Rafayel says, “Buy this one for me, will you?”

“This one? Isn’t it a bit… ‘rough around the edges’?”

“It’s the best painting here.”

“... I’ll never understand you.”

By the end of the showing, you expect all but one painting to be missing from the walls. Instead, once everything was taken down to be wrapped for various buyers, the walls were blank. Your manager gushes at her phone.

“You did really well for your first ever exhibit!” she praises. “Every single painting sold! Even your… ahem, experimental work. That doesn’t happen very often! You should feel very proud!”

You smile at her, but it doesn’t reach your eyes. She doesn’t notice. You can’t stop staring at the big empty spot where you’d spoken to that man.

“Okay! Now that you’re in, we need to start networking. There’s an exhibition next week for Rafayel that will be packed with more critics and connoisseurs than you could shake a stick at.”

You turn to her, eyes wide. “Rafayel?”

I am a sucker for raw and "practical" relationships. Like this is exactly how I imagine them to grieve for Suguru and I love that so much can be left unsaid but the reader and Satoru and Shoko both just know. What they have isn't healthy but it's the only thing they can have. A happy and healthy relationship with someone else would just simply not work. They are both too fucked up for that.

Do you have any tips for new writers/accounts to get popular???

SO:

I was a shit writer for a very long time cuz I never wrote. But one day I wanted to change that so at 19 I made up a story and wrote down all my plot points and then did a DEEP DIVE on Pinterest of all things collecting every bit of advice I could. I’m talking ideas, how to do this, how to not use the word said, how to start sentences. How sentences should flow and their lengths, big uncommon words. EVERYTHING.

Anything and everything I could get my hands on. 

And on top of that I’ve been a reader for forever. I have so many books I don’t even know how many I have. And so I use that knowledge when editing. I don’t read it from a writing POV after I write it. I turn into a reader and think about how I would feel about it from a readers POV and if something doesn’t work. I fix it.

I have a small background in script writing from my college days which definitely helped a bit. But if you’ve ever studied script writing you know it doesn’t really help creative writing outside of structure.

And when I write I’m someone who writes until I think the story is done. Not the arc. Not the characters. But the overall story of what I’m trying to portray. I don’t actively think about putting the climax of the story here or some foreshadowing there. I write intuitively if that makes sense. I try to sense out what feels right. And some of that comes naturally, some of it doesn’t and I have to work on it.

Me and @violetsiren90 were actually talking roughly about this last night. Our differences in how we write and how my advice from her last fic that I edited had already helped her with her new one cuz she can now see all of the little things that I pick up on from my style of writing versus the times where she tells me why she writes in that specific way and why she will be keeping it as is. Vi if you wanna add anything in the comments I’m forgetting, by all means feel free.

Most writers will tell you to practice. To tell you to write something even if it’s just a sentence everyday. But that didn’t help me. The stuff on my blog are the very first things I’ve written for myself ever. I didn’t write in highschool or college outside of what I was forced to write and my one story that the Pinterest board was initially for.

For me it was about researching style and reading posts like these from other writers, being confident in your style and learning what rules to break and when to break them. It was about reading over your work a hundred times and to be impartial when you read so you can fix the mistakes that won’t work.

The benefit of writing is you can go over something you’ve written a hundred times until you think it’s ready. A thousand times. I can go back and rewrite that first story if I want too. Nothing can stop me.

But don’t get me wrong. I go back and read all my works on here from time to time and I still constantly find things I would change now. Word changes. Phrasing changes. Everything. But that’s just another sign of improvement. Writing is a constantly improving art form. There is no limit. Only growth.

And the last thing I do is write down everything. I have a TERRIBLE memory. So I write down every single idea. On a scrap piece of paper. In my phone. On a computer. In a notebook. Cuz you never know when you’ll use it.

My most recent story, The Devil Wears Valentino, I got the idea for that name sometime in the immediate aftermath of Valentino Yoongi. I was in the shower after watching the devil wears Prada and my mind just connected the two. And then it sat unused in my notes all until the week before Halloween 2023. I would’ve forgotten had I not written it down. But there it was right when I needed it, a gift from past me. And here we are.

As for popularity, dude I have no goddamn idea. I don’t even think I count as a popular/big blog. I utilize the HELL out of aesthetics, formatting and tags and I’m nice. That’s my spiel on that. Aesthetic. Format. Tag. Kindness. Talent, sure. I guess. But writing is one of those things, ESPECIALLY in fic, where it doesn’t have to be the best cuz folks just wanna read their comfort character or person in the same scenarios over and over again. Source: I do that. And I’ve read stories that don’t have the best writing. But the story was good, or vice versa. People are way more forgiving on here.

I didn’t come on here(tumblr) with the intention of writing let alone giving writing and popularity advice. I just wanted to read and support people and then the community I’ve built for myself has just grown and grown and I’ve been so incredibly fortunate, which is where kindness comes in.

Leave reviews and like and reblog stuff. Tell people how much you love their work. Let them know you write too. Create friendships with people who wanna support you. And people who you wanna support. Community is the base of everything.

Favorite holiday: I used to really like all the holidays that my family celebrates, but recently I just haven't really gotten very exited for any of them. The thing that gets me the most exited for a holiday these days is the food, but my family always does the same meal for every holiday so. I guess Christmas cuz I do still get excited about picking out a tree and decorating it. I also like looking at all the presents under the tree, maybe more than I like actually getting gifts lol.

Last meal: the last full meal I had would be pulled pork, brisket, and fries from my local BBQ place. But I had a bowl of cereal shortly after that that doesn't really count as a meal but it's something I ate.

Current favorite musician: oh there's so many! I've been listening to a lot of Vocal few, Lord Huron, Rozen, David Gray and Christian Kane lately.

Last music listened to: my playlist that's just a mix of all the artists listed above. I believe the last song was Skellig by David Gray

Last movie watched: Sea Biscuit. part of my horse movie™️ marathon.

Last TV show watched: Leverage

Last book/fic finished: last book I finished would be Macbeth I think. I don't really read a lot of fanfic, but I think the last one I did read was one of @lemissingmask 's short fics, which are always amazing!

Last book/fic abandoned: I don't think there are any. It took me like 3 or 4 tries to finally actually finish Snuff by Terry Pratchett, but I did actually finish it eventually. It was good and I really enjoyed it but for whatever reason I had a really hard time finishing it. And I've never abandoned a fanfic before (to my knowledge)

Currently reading: Robinson Caruso. Honestly if I didn't have to read it for class I probably would have given up reading it already.

Last thing researched for writing/art/hyperfixation: collapsed/punctured lung symptoms and treatment, for writing purposes.

Favorite online fandom memory: there's so many fond memories I have with the Leverage folks but I'd probably have to say the night I started watching Leverage, made a post about it and woke up the next morning to an overwhelming amount of replies welcoming me to the fandom. Y'all are the best!

Favorite Old Fandom You Wish Would Drag You Back In/Have A Resurgence: honestly none. There's a reason I quit interacting with all my old fandoms.

Favorite Thing You Enjoy That Never Had an Active or Big "Fandom" but You Wish It Did: Sirens (UK). Although in hindsight if it had had a bigger fandom it probably wouldn't have been as fun of a fandom for me to be a part of.

Tempting Project You're Trying to Rein In/Don't Have Time For: I actually have the opposite problem. Tempting projects that I have all the time in the world for and would really like to do, if only I had the motivation to actually work on them. I'm not trying to rein them in, I'm trying to get them going in the first place lol.

Thank you for the tag and for thinking about me. You all are wonderful and inspiring writers and your presence and works are to be admired.

Words written (published or not, WIPs included): I wrote 122.381 words this year! More than I wrote last year. I'm proud of myself for writing this much even if I lost my steam in the last months because life. Nevertheless, wow I wrote those words!!

Here's the recording. Mine is different cuz I add my daily word count in a sheet. This year, the data starting from Sept to Dec was lost. So I almost did a table flip. Until I remembered I ALSO use a writing bot to record my daily word counts so I re-added the lost word count in the sheet to get the total.....the things I do for fanfic 😂

Smut scenes:.......0. Gosh darn it. One of my goals this year was to write an entire smut scene but I failed. 2023 has to be the year!!! My Lavellan is waiting for me to start it 😂

New things I tried: I jumped into exchanges and I wrote pairings and characters I never wrote. I participated in art trades and OC exchanges. I submerged my tiny writer feet in lots of fandom stuff and it was fun! I can't wait to do it even more this year!

Fic I spent the most time on: Definitely Daughter of Fire/Herald of Spirit. I spent so so many hours writing the chapters, editing them and re-editing them. It was so much fun and I want to do it again this year! I feel more confident with my English skills and I kinda....don't care anymore if people like it or not. Life kicked my ass and writing must be my calm down hobby.

Fic I spent the least time on: I usually spend lots of time working on what I post because I'm like that. The things I wrote and was semi-relaxed with were my DADWC drabbles. I did work a lot of those too but not so much as on the other things.

Favourite thing I wrote: Daughter of Fire. It's my special project. But I did had lots of fun writing for the art exchanges! Writing about other OCs is fun!

Favourite thing I read: gods I read so so many fanfics this year. And over 20 books and manga. I can't pick! I'm grateful for every fic and book I read cuz it kept me sane. Thank you for writing them!

Writing goals for 2023:

1. Write that darned smut fic. Istg, if I don't get it done this year, I will flip two tables. 😂

2. Try to finish DoF. I think two years for a long fic are enough. I want to be more confident about publishing my long fic even if now I don't have a beta. Anyone feeling like beta-ing me? 😂

3. Participate in more exchanges and give more writing gifts. Because gifting people is fun and writing about other OCs is fun.

4. Reach 200.000 words in a year. Fingers crossed.

5. Have fun because that's the only thing that matters.

18. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?

All three!! Titling is actually my favorite part. Usually, they come from song titles, lyrics, or references that I felt either really captured the theme of the characters or the plot. Or sometimes they are the inspiration!! Sometimes they are funny, catchy or sexy in ways I think will bring people in but mostly they are song titles/lyrics haha  Almost all of the angsty Harringrove fics I wrote (13+ i think now) are MGK songs haha 2020-2022 was my all MGK all the time period because he dropped two sick fucking albums in two years and helped me out of more spirals than I can count. 

19. What is the most-used tag on your ao3?

Oh shit idk can I check that? Let me go look… Alright im too high to do that and google wasn't helpful so i'm taking a guess haha probably Smut or angst. I don't write exclusively smut or angst but almost every single fic I have has hurt/comfort scenes or sex scenes in them. Probs cuz people cry and have sex in real life haha and i'm tired of the bullshit on tv 

22. Are there certain types of writing you won’t do? (style, pov, genre, tropes, etc)

I don't write anything with scat or piss play, just not my thing so i think it would be difficult to write it for me. I don't have usually any hard no’s when it comes to writing. The content I consume is a different answer though. Likely because I have the ability to just not think about the things I don't want to think/write about whereas if I don't check does the dog die.com before a movie I’ll be panicking the whole time I’m gonna be triggered by on screen SA which seems to be a recurring theme in EVERY scary/thriller these days (fuck YOU hollywood)

40. If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Dude any!!!! But i'm also a horny slut so really any of the Hankconvin, steddiegrove, harringrove, parksborn sex scenes are good with me!!

I still have the fan art  someone made me for a fic I wrote back in 2013 as my phone background :3 I have since lost touch with them on tumblr but I think about them everyday

I’m a huge re-reader/reconsumer. I will watch the same show 100 times and never get tired of it. Same with the fics I read. I’m a SUCKER for that good good content

Hahahahha yes and no. If its a short fic, I'll usually just reread it before i start adding new content since I jump around between fics CONSTANTLY. Kris x Spamton - I absolutely love the themes being developed in deltarune so far, and I feel like these 2 characters and their interactions explore the themes relating to control and freedom very beautifully... both Kris and Spamton are characters whose struggles I can relate to easily/empathize with, so some of the fics I read of them can be very cathartic and comforting... alot of complex emotions arise from this ship, and I really love it. its also really hot lol.

SaiGenos - oh man.... cyborgs...... I read a fic where some of Genos' wires get fucked up and he needs Saitama to plug them back in cuz hes basically immobile until they get fixed... and OUGH it's really hot..... I read alot more im addition to this, but this one was REALLY good

You had met Steve during a recent mission and immediately started talking and spending a lot of time together. So, when you went on a mission to an abandoned museum in the nearby town, Steve offered to accompany you without hesitation.

At dusk, the two of you slipped through a broken window in the back wing of the museum. The light from Steve's torch illuminated the dusty corridors. You had decided to go at that hour as you knew no one would be watching, but for some strange reason, in the daytime, people were watching.

“This place used to be amazing," you said, your voice echoing in the void.

“I can imagine," Steve replied. “It's a shame they left it like this."

You walked together for a few minutes until, as you rounded a corner, you heard a loud creak followed by a crash. The entrance through which you had entered was blocked by debris.

“It looks like we're trapped," Steve said, trying to remain calm, though he now feared it was an ambush. "Let's find another way out."

You spent hours looking for a way out, but the building seemed like an endless maze. Finally, you found a large room with a glass roof, where the moonlight came in faintly, and you told him about the rumors about the place and about the strange things that were said to happen.

“Let's rest here for a while," suggested Steve. You both sat on the floor, staring at the faded pictures that adorned the walls.

“Steve, how do you manage to stay calm in situations like this? “you asked, breaking the silence.

“I guess I've been through worse," he replied with a tired smile.

There was a moment of silence before Steve spoke again. "You know, there's something about this place that reminds me of the old days. Before the war, I used to visit museums. It was my escape."

“Your escape?" you asked, surprised.

“Yes," he said, looking at a painting. "The art and the history made me feel part of something bigger. It gave me hope."

“I'm glad you're here with me, Steve."

You don't understand how your answer made me feel. Like no words can describe. For me your reply was emotionally equal to meeting Steven King and Jesus in one person at 5 am at convince store, while I wear a custom shirt with Devil smooching it from "it". I very much glad that it happened but how. What the chances. I was literally going around my room in circles throwing around random objects because I couldn't calm down myself. I still can't stop smiling, even tho my face is hurting a little.

I don't even know how to describe it properly. I'm not a writter. It's just like, understand me, I'm very small artist. Like literally all my active followers in all of my social media combined can be counted using one hand. There's two at insta. There's one on twitter. And two mutuals on Tumblr. My art don't do well, and that understandable, I'm not drawing much, don't post often and don't chase trends even if I find them interesting. Just don't have much time right now.

And then a very cropped drawing of my wip that has 2 tags, it even doesn't have "my art" tag that I use to make search for my artworks on this blog easier. I didn't expected it to do better than any other. It's even miracle that it even was posted at all.

I long ago decided to post something at least onece a week. What to post didn't mattered, just something once a week, wip, sketch on napkin. Just post something to kill perfectionist in myself. And I kinda missed a lot of weeks and forgot about it. And then I go to a planer that I didn't Opened for more than a month and it Is time to post something to my socials. And there's yet nothing to post. Lineart was barely finished. So I move to next day. And then on next day I have this. And just post it without much care. Just quickly cropped out 90% of the work post it, and just continue working as if didn't happened at all.

I did such bare minimum for it and then it kinda blows up. It has almost 1000 views on twitter alone which is kinda crazy for me. Even if most of them prob scrolled past it without paying much attentio. They have seen it. And then author themselve noticed it. Noticed the work that was two (ok one, smpard did heavy lifting here ngl) tag away from being untraceable, you prob wouldn't have see it if I just tagged it as just wip like I first planned.

It feels like I'm in some cheese success story movie right now. Just look how my day went from my perspective. I posted my wip in the middle of the night in my timezone 'cuz I have unhealthy habit of monitoring notes for one hour after posting. I wake up and there's 18 notification in my Tumblr. They all but two are from my year old drawing, which is resurfaced a little. "Neat" say I to myself and go to college, don't touch social media the whole day and just reread your fic in a little bit of spare time that I have (which wasn't a lot today). Then came back open Tumblr and I blasted by notes, it's one of my most interacted with drawings of this half of year (which mostly as most number of my notes can be without problem be converted into a binary code which reads as "0"). And better of all I got one reply where in the tags a person was as unhinged about them as me. Of course I reply back cuz I'm overjoyed and then this person is actually author of the work for which I do my fan art. Like I probably should have expected you look for sampard fan art at least a little bit. But to find my artwork. And on Tumblr nonetheless.

Also you probably don't fully understand how much your fic mean to me. It was not only my first ever sampard fic it was the fic that hooked me on this ship. Your work is the reason I currently have 5 sampard wips and another 10 ideas written down. Before this fic I wasn't interested in this ship at all. The only reason I readed it was that I started to get overwhelmed by renheng and decided to read something easy, something I'm not so invested in. And then it consumed me even more that renheng. And now I'm here. Your fic fas so good that it me obsessed sampard shipper. And tbh before reading it I didn't like the ship. I always thought that it was kinda silly because they have 0 interactions in canon, so I thought there's wasn't a lot of chemistry between them and can't be. Well you proved me wrong. How much you proved me wrong. Thanks. Genuinely. I love how you characterize them not only together but individually, how you write intimate moment's between them. I wanna praise your work for hours I love it so much. But I kinda need to sleep right now so. You so so so good. Love your work.

Also about clothes, I like drawing genshin of star rail character without their overdesigned nightmare of clothings or simplifyed versions, so your fic descriptions were kinda perfect for me. Also I did a little bit of diversion from your description. I didn't touch Sampo's clothing for the most part. But I decided to make Gep's coat muted blue as blue one of main colors in his design and The scene was supposed to be dark so I need to make him stand out.

this fic is the most recent one on this list that i read and oh my god, it made me actually cry. real tears, yo. in the span of 1.5k words, artem wing was gently pried open and told the exact kindness he NEEDS to hear and also will have the MOST trouble believing. the prose here is so like, beautifully simple, just an everyday conversation that can happen to any of us. but then there are lines of dialog that happen that artem is never gonna forget.

LITTLE KID POV and thru this pov the fic takes us thru this like, rlly sincere snapshot of who marius is when hes connected over something he loves: art. thru just the interaction in here, a very clear understanding of marius shines thru even if the fic isnt going too "deep" so to speak.

man mAAANNNNN!!! this fic is such a huge fave of mine!!! the artem wing we know and love ends up in a universe where things r the same but Not Really. that in itself had me hooked but then galena goes the extra mile by using this fantastic premise as a way to make artem realize and confront his flaws and fears. that + some rlly cool plot + SO MUCH FOUND FAMILY FEEEELLLSSSSS //SOBS. artem's pov here is exquisite, it's got this solid/strict vibe in how he handles himself but also this like, looping and almost endless questioning of his faults as a person, IT'S SO GREAT TO READ!!!

nothing brings a team together than fighting a giant evil plant that vyn supposedly ordered!!! vyn, what the HELL?? but srsly, this fic is wonderful and i love it to bits. galena back at it again with a wonderfully absurd premise and then uses that premise to dissect character and this fic's victim is Luke Pearce. take it from me, self diagnosed luke pearce enthusiast, that this fic is incredible. be it through little quirks luke does with his phone contacts or how he strategizes a battle plan or the thoughts only us readers are privy to in his internal monolog, this fic delivers a LOVELY interpretation of who luke is. all the while telling a very entertaining and well paced story.

HMMMMMMMM how do I do that indeed, the basics are honestly what you’d find on any basic tutorial about drawing a face (circle, cross in the middle of it, build the face around that - I really still can’t avoid that step and probably never will). As for the expressions, to be honest with you my way of going about them is thinking them up in emoji/kaomoji form first and then go from there. Emojis and kaomojis have to simplify expressions to the max since it’s such a simple format, right? But they’re still super expressive and convey exactly what they’re trying to say with one single glance, so using them as some kind of reference sheet has helped me a lot in figuring out what’s essential to express what I’m trying to say - still working on it though! I’m rarely satisfied with my expressions, they really do make or break a drawing don’t they............ you never stop learning, I guess!

I think it’s a tie between my Rollisi fics and my Mob City fic from waaaaaay back when. Giving Joe Teague a proper send off was such a lovely feeling.

I love it, but I’m very nervous about including it cuz I’ve lost all my language studies and I’m never sure if translators are getting it right.
