Unfair Love

Your fingers were cramping from how hard you were holding the door. Your eyes mad to be deceiving you, Regulus fucking Black cant be standing in front of you. The guy you loved from the simply age of 5 all the way until the end of school. He had been your best friend, the guy you pined over for years and years while he pushed you aside every time he got a girlfriend. Only to suck you right back in when he got bored. 

“No..” You said moving to close the door to your brother's manor. Tom, Mattheo and You were triplets. Magical beings already formed crazy connections but the three of you could literally feel each other and each other's major feelings. So the shock and pain of seeing Regulus had pulled them from the upstairs living room to the top of the stairs. Leaning against opposite walls, Tom positions so he could see down the stairs easily keeping an eye on you while being positioned in a way to be easily overlooked. 

When Regulus pushed his way in, it took everything in both of them to stay put but your voice stopped them. “Tom is home. If that's not bad enough, so is Mattheo. Do not come any further into my home Regulus.” Regulus paused just inside the door, while he had been friends with both boys in school. He also knew they were fiercely protective of their ‘baby’ sister. They would kill each other if the other hurt her, so they would easily Avada him if he pushed to hard. 

“Y/n.. Dont marry him.” He said in a nonchalant tone. Acting like he wasnt rocking her world and trying to crumble her relationship to pieces. “ Regulus.. Your being a dick.” You said unconsciously stepping towards the stairs and pulling your hands up to your chest. He stepped towards you and smiled in a cocky way that made you want to slap him “Come on y/n/n, you know you its always been me.. Dont marry him.” 

Those words sparked anger in your gut. 

Stepping towards him this time you sneer. “I was second to every single girl that even looked your way in school! You literally asked me to the yule ball and then FORGOT and went with some girl from Ravenclaw! I cant.. I wont.. I.. I..” It felt like a let down to your last name when that spark died and never turned into a fire as you started to almost hyperventilate. Every time he broke your heart played through your head as his eyes flicked above your head. 

You didnt need to turn around to know your brothers were coming down. Mattheo was past you quickly, having moved before your breathing even got uneven. Tom wasnt as familiar with panic and anxiety attacks as you and he were. He didnt stop to comfort you as he grabbed his old friend harshly and jerked him out the door. He didnt slam it on his way out knowing that would just startle you and make it worse. 

Tom had always for some reason been the one you went to for comfort. You thought it was probably just because he was the ‘oldest’. He was the one who retucked you into bed when you had bad dreams even though he was the same age. He had always just carried himself in a way that gave big brother vibes. Every where you went people thought you and Matt were twins and Tom was the older brother. 

He would always have a hard time dealing with others feelings but he always made the most effort for his siblings. When you collapsed onto the stairs and started sobbing he moved the rest of the way to you quickly. He tries to get you to calm your breathing but its like you cant hear him. He does the only thing he knows too, the same thing he use to do when you were children and he couldnt wake you from a nightmare. Pressing his forehead to yours he gently entered your mind. it was easy to find you in panic because when all the thoughts finally formed into a picture you were stood frozen while everything moved around you. 

Him saying your name broke your focus as you turned confused then relieved to see him. “Tommy” You said in a broken whisper as he reached for you, tucking your head against his shoulder and hugging you he looked around. “Lets walk through all this, yeah?” Nodding against his chest “I just feel so much right now.. Im so mad at Regulus. Ive tried my entire life to be what he wants, to be someone he sees but he never did. I was just someone to placate his ego in between relationships.” 

Tom watches as memories of you crying, of Regulus manipulating you and leaving flash around him and he squeezes tighter. “He hasnt spoken t-to me in years and then he just shows up here the night before Im supposed to get married?!” You sob and then suck in a harsh breath “Oh my god. Teddy.. Whats he going to think when he finds out I was crying over another man when im supposed to be relaxing and getting ready to marry him!” 

You pull away and pull out of your head and then away from Tom in the real world. Standing you start to pace and pull at your hair. Tom sighs and stands to try and stop you but the door flies open. Mattheo running in frantically looking for you, only to be shoved out of the way by your tall sandy blond fiancee. “Tesoro” He barley whispers as he rushes to pull you into his arms. Your knees giving out again but he keeps you up. His huge hand cups the back of your head and neck as he shushes you gently. 

Theo swears his heart is breaking as your shoulders rack with sobs. He turns to look at his other best friends, Tom is staring at the door, clearing pissed and trying to stay put. Mattheo is pulling at his own hair when he sees the questions in his friends eyes. Hes struggling because he wants to tell him so he can better comfort you, but he doesnt want to betray your trust. Thankfully he doesnt have to, you can feel his panic and pull away just enough too look up. “Regulus was here.” 

Theos head snaps back to you and he tries to reign in his feelings quickly knowing that they will all play out on his face. His first feeling was worry, he had worked so hard to show you how you should actually be treated. So many dates where he couldnt even hold your hand yet. Regulus had treated you so poorly from day one that his nontoxic love was foreign and unwelcome. 

You had grown up in vastly different environments. Birthing triplets had killed your mother. While your father wasn't horrible or abusive, he was unattentive. He would rather you have a nanny (who he sleeps with before replacing and repeating) then try and raise you alone. While Theo grew up with parents who not only loved him but each other. 

Next was anger at the audacity. Then was worry again but this time for you. Taking a deep breath and taking your cheek in one hand he wipes your tears away. “Ok, tell me why your so upset by that. We have to be on the same page to talk through this. Can we go sit down?” you shake your head and pull him up the stairs, away from your brothers to your room. You let go of his hand and keep walking straight for your bathroom. 

After a few mintues long arms wrapped around you, crossing over and gripping your upper arms. “Im here, Tesoro. Whenever your ready.” You didnt register any measure of time as you stood under the water with him holding you and pressing kisses to your neck and shoulder. “I dont deserve you theo..” you say so quietly he almost doesnt hear. Before he can ask what you mean your already speaking. “Here I am, the night before marrying you, crying over some other guy.. God im so horrible.” 

Before your hands can cover your face, Theo has spun you around and is tilting your face forcing you to look at him. He looks just a little annoyed as he speaks, “Dont say that. Do you remember what Tesoro means?” You sniffle and nod but he raises his eyebrows waiting for you to say it. “It means treasure.” He nods and smiles just a little “So.. My Tesoro couldnt be horrible.. I get it darling.. He was your first love, theres a lot of trauma there. I know your not crying because you miss him, your crying for 17 year old you, for 15 year old you and so on. And thats ok, because thats how we heal.” 

Theos heart warmed as you stare up at him in awe. “I know its difficult for you, my love. That this open communication and understanding isnt something that comes naturally too you. So youll have to give me just a little grace while I continue to learn to navigate you. I promise one day Ill be an expert.” He leans in and kisses your forehead, staying there for just a moment to give you both a second to pull yourselves together. 

When he pulled back the smile he loves was back on your face. He sighs happily and kisses your nose before looking at you. Everything was right in his world again, all he needed to do now, was wait for you to go to sleep. Because Regulus.. Well Theo completely understood where YOU were coming from. But Black? Nah. While tending to lean towards his mothers Hufflepuff nature, sometimes he needs to remind people why he was sorted into Slytherin. Why he became friends with The Dark Lords children. Why he and your brothers trusted him to care for you. And tonight, it would be Regulus` turn to learn.

"Hello."

Silver blinked his eyes open to see a fuzzy figure hovering over him. He didn't even notice he had closed his eyes in the first place. And he was trying so hard to stay awake for the first day of primary school.

"Hi," the figure prodded. As Silver pawed at his groggy eyes, his vision cleared to reveal a child, about his age standing over him with a curious look. His head was propped up against the cubbies. He must have fallen asleep during reading time again.

"Hello," Silver responded, blinking at the person who had woken him up.

"You fell asleep during reading," you said, cocking your head at the sleepy boy with curiosity. "Don't worry though, I asked Miss Lilac so many questions so she would be too distracted to be mad at you."

He just stared blankly at you.

"It's lunch time now. Everybody else already left," you continued. "What's your name?"

"I'm Silver," Silver said through a tiny yawn. You plopped down in front of him cross-legged.

"I'm Y/N," you said and took your little backpack off your little shoulders. You unpacked your princess lunchbox while Silver watched inquisitively. When you looked back up at the boy in front of you, you furrowed your brows. "Don't you have a lunch?"

"Yeah," Silver mumbled quietly. "Why are you here if everybody's gone for lunch?"

"Miss Lilac always lets me stay in the classroom for lunch," you said as you began unpacking your sandwich, apple slices, oat bar, and baby carrots. A lunch fit for a little kid. "Nobody else wants to sit with me so it's more fun to just stay in here."

Silver stared at you for a moment before reaching for his own backpack.

"I'll sit next to you," he said with a small smile. You face immediately lit up.

"Really?" you exclaimed with glee. Before he could react, Silver was buried in a hug. You nuzzled your face into the side of his cheek with a smile. "You're my best friend now, Silver."

"I've never had a best friend before," Silver said plainly as you pulled away, back to your original criss-cross. "What do best friends do?"

"Weeeelll..." you dragged the word out for a long time. "They eat lunch together."

"We're already doing that."

"Yeah, that's why we're already best friends!" you almost yelled, so excited by the prospect of having a best friend that you forgot the manners your mom had taught you. "They also share a bunch of stuff."

You held up a couple of your apple slices to Silver.

"Here."

Silver took the apples and nibbled on them as he unpacked his own lunch which was a Tupperware full of something you couldn't identify.

"I would share some of my lunch with you but I don't think you can eat it," Silver said sheepishly.

"What do you mean?"

"My father made my lunch for me, but I don't think it's people food."

"Is your dad a person?" you asked. Silver had to think about it.

"I don't know. I'll ask him when I get home."

"Can I come with you?" you asked eagerly. Silver looked surprised.

"Come home with me?"

"Yeah!" you bounced up and down from your seat on the floor. "Best friends do that too! They go to each other's houses and they have playdates."

"Sure, if my father says yes."

"Yay!" It seemed like your excitement was bursting out of you. You could barely keep still but you wanted to keep sitting next to your new best friend. "Maybe we can get married at your house!"

"I don't think kids are allowed to get married," Silver said with a confused look. "It's only for grown-ups."

"Okay, then, when we're grown-ups, we have to have a playdate and get married."

"Okay!" Silver said, a smile on his face. "Pinky promise."

You broke out in a grin almost too big for your face.

pairing : matt sturniolo x fem!reader

synopsis : you’re a tattoo artist. while working your usual shift, someone you didn’t expect to ever see again walks through the doors, asking for you.

a/n : my first story on here, i’m so excited !!

you sigh, as you walk back over to your station. an old lady just left a few moments ago. she wasn’t exactly the nicest person you’d ever met seeing as she was grumpy and extremely rude while you were tattooing her. you knew it was your duty to do as the customer asks, but you were tempted to mess up her tattoo just to spite her. and if you didn’t know that would cause you to lose your job, you would have done it without a second thought.

“y/n!” you hear your coworker call from the front desk.

the building at which you work is separated into two sections – the front, where the workers book appointments and talk to customers ; and the back, where the tattoo artists do their job.

normally, you stay in the back and do about one or two tattoos per day. however, it's not uncommon for the artists to get called to the front. the people who work at the front desk sometimes need to ask about your schedule or if you can do certain tattoos.

"yes?" you ask once you get to the front of the store. however, before your coworker can even answer, your heart sinks to your stomach. standing behind the counter is your ex boyfriend from high school, matthew sturniolo.

the two of you have quite a rough past.

you dated for three years. your relationship was happy and healthy. to be completely honest, you thought matt was going to be the man you married. he never did anything wrong and was the most perfect boyfriend you could ever ask for.

but that was before you found out who he truly was. during your senior year of high school, you walked in on matt making out with your best friend.

after that, you stopped talking to both of them – including matt's two brothers, nick and chris. they didn't do anything wrong, but they were so similar to matt that it hurt to be around them.

"y/n." matt says as he stares at you with his mouth agape.

you manage a smile before saying, "it's nice to meet you, sir." matt's eyebrows furrow in confusion at your strange greeting. there's no way you forgot about him, is there?

"is there a reason i was called up here?" you ask as you turn to face your coworker with a professional smile.

"this man has been asking for you." your coworker explains. "he's refused to have anyone else do his tattoo except for you."

you look at matt with a curious expression on your face because now you're really confused. when you first laid eyes on him, you were hoping this was a mistake and he just walked into a random store. but now you're positive it was not a mistake.

"i don't know if you know the rules of our store, but you need to make an appointment ahead of time." you tell matt, continuing to act oblivious.

you don't want to say his name or address your past. because if you do, there's no turning back.

truth is, you haven't been able to move on from matt ever since you broke up with him. it's been two years since then, but you haven't been able to stop thinking about him.

you've tried dating other guys, but it wasn't the same as matt. you also tried experimenting with women. but nothing worked. everyone and everything just brought your mind back to matthew.

so you quit dating entirely. and you've never been happier.

"y/n." he says. "don't act like we didn't happen."

"sorry, sir. but i have no idea what you're talking about." you say, your voice shaking the tiniest bit. you quickly cover it up by clearing your thought and continuing. "if you can't make an appointment like everyone else, i'm gonna have to ask you to leave."

matt just stares at you, his gaze softening. you hold the contact, your eyes sharp but steady.

"y/n-"

"dawson," you call out your coworker's last name. "can you please have this man removed from our store?"

dawson nods before you calmly return to the back of the store. you don't stay to watch as matt gets removed. you simply close the door behind you as you walk over to your station.

you've been working here for a hear and a half and you've made tons of friends. including jamie – another tattoo artist whose station is directly beside yours. she watches you walk back to your area and after taking one look at you, she's worried.

"did something happen?" she asks you.

"i don't wanna talk about it." you respond.

jamie nods, not wanting to be nosy or anything like that. she's a good friend and is genuinely worried about you, but she would never pry something out of you.

suddenly, her attention is taken off of you and is placed onto a customer entering the back of the store. you don't care to look at them, assuming it's just the usual customer who's here for a touch-up.

"y/n, please talk to me." you whip around at the sound of matt's voice.

"how did you get back here?" you ask him, your eyes wide.

"i just explained everything to dawson." matt says. "he listened to me and now he understands exactly why i'm here. and i want you to listen to me, as well."

you glance toward the door, seeing dawson's blonde head peeking through the small window. you shoot him a glare and he quickly turns back around.

you suck in a breath, calming your nerves before crossing your arms over your chest. "why would i do that?"

"listen, i'm not going to force you to forgive me. but can you at least let me explain?" matt asks. "these past two years have been hell without you, y/n. i can't live with myself knowing that you hate me."

"good." you respond.

matt chuckles, "if it makes you feel any better, i didn't only come here for you. i do want another tattoo."

"no, that doesn't make me feel better." you tell him. "if you need a tattoo, jamie is really good and she's been working here for longer than me. you should ask her rather than pestering your ex-girlfriend that you cheated on."

"i didn't cheat, y/n." matt says. "she forced herself onto me."

"that's funny." you tell him, turning around and beginning to do something else. "it seemed to me like you were enjoying it quite a lot."

"you hardly even saw us." matt says. "you took one look at the situation and made a harsh judgement without a second thought."

"oh, so now i'm the one getting blamed for your fuck up?"

"no, i'm not blaming you. i'm simply explaining why you saw what you saw." matt says. "she pulled me away into an empty classroom and forced herself onto me. i tried pushing her off, but that's when you walked in. you saw me holding her because i was trying to shove her off of me."

"okay, well why didn't you explain all of this back then?" you ask him. "it's been two years, matt, why now?"

"you had a valid reason to be upset and i didn't want you to think i was making excuses for myself." he says. "i thought you would forgive me and come back. but when you didn't, i felt like a piece of me was missing ever since. it took months to find you here. and i'll do anything to make it up to you."

as you watch matt's expression turn into one of genuine admiration, you no longer see your cheating ex who betrayed you. you see the boy you fell in love with. the one you shared your first date with. your first kiss with. your first everything.

you didn't realize how much you missed him.

whenever you thought of matt while with someone else, you thought it was because your heart still ached from the betrayal. you didn't know you were actually aching for him to return to you.

"why should i even trust anything you're saying?" you ask him, your voice coming out softer than you wanted.

"because i still love you, y/n." matt says, stepping closer to you and reaching up to hold your face in his hands. "and i don't think i could ever love someone else other than you."

you lean into his touch, wanting to keep him here with you forever.

"i'm willing to give you a second chance." you say. "but i have a few conditions."

matt nods, "anything."

"don't expect me to forgive and forget everything so easily." you tell him, stepping closer to him until your noses are brushing. "you need to work for my love and prove that you genuinely want me back.

"of course, y/n." he says.

you press your lips to his, feeling everything click into place. this is where you're meant to be. this is is who you're meant to be with. this is perfect.

Ranking Companions I've Seen So Far

(Because I can)

(Purely from memory so is possible I forgot someone)

(They are bulleted instead of numbered because there's a character limit for blocks and it restarted the numbering when I broke it up. They are, however, in order from favorite to least favorite)

Sarah Jane: She hides it under professional veneer, but she is autistic chaos personified. She has the most chances of anyone to just go home, and even when she claims to be fed up she always gets back in the tardis. She is high on adventure. She thinks the Doctor has died at least once per story, and for the first 3/4 of her run they never actually get to take a fun break from constant danger, and she is hooked. She eats an orange without peeling it. She met the Doctor because she snuck into a scientific conference to investigate disappearances and then walked right into the tardis to look for him. She had no trouble believing she'd moved in space and it took only the barest evidence to have her fully on board with time travel; I think she always half believed in magic. She's excellent at bluffing but only for very short periods. She's very much about the ends justifying the means and always a little confused when people are mad since everything turned out fine, which is very Doctor of her. And their dynamic really was silly best friends.

Leela: Everyone else was either kidnapped or invited along. She pushed the Doctor aside to invite herself, because she didn't want to have to stay home and be a leader (and she too craves adventure). She never completely understands what's happening, but she jumps into every situation fully anyway. And asks a ton of questions. And, once she's been taught about something, she maintains a good understanding of it (no one in-show acknowledges how smart she is and how hard she works to catch up from not having the same education as every other character). I enjoy how ready to stab and shoot people she is, and how often she winds up with guns no matter what the Doctor says. But she's also so genuine and protective and their bickering is sweet and she's best friends with the dog even before she's left alone on Gallifrey with no one who respects her but the dog. (The whole noble savage trope is problematic but I still enjoy a great deal of her character)

Donna: She's outspoken and best friends with the Doctor and no one has ever thought he was less hot. With her the dynamic really is just we're flying through time and space playing dress up. Her fear response is indignant anger. She's a temp who has been told by her mother her whole life that she's a failure, and she's the most important person in the universe. She has terrible self esteem but never lets that get in the way of speaking her mind. She loves and supports her trans daughter. She forgot it all for 15 years and then, married with a teenager, casually moved in with her old best friend.

Bill: Even when she couldn't go to college, she was so determined to learn that she just appeared in the Doctor's lectures and was excited when she didn't initially understand things. She was his student, and his friend, and once or twice his protector, but she never did the Clara thing of putting all her time into keeping track of the Doctor and protecting him from himself. On her first alien planet, robots that spoke emoji tried to kill her, and she still kept traveling. But she never gave up her life at home or her education, either. She had a gay crush in her first episode that she never even got to go on a date with, and then ended up spending eternity together as noncorporeal beings by the end. She helped rehabilitate the most evil Time Lord. She's iconic.

Romana I: She is the sheltered excellent grades autistic. She's so baby and innocent, but also knows more about what the Doctor is talking about than any other companion (and sometimes the Doctor). She can fly the tardis, because she read the manual. She plays dress up constantly but rarely in any sort of context appropriate to where they're going. She wanted to be called Fred. She literally can't lie to save either of their lives. She's charming and beautiful and capable, but might think she's even more capable than she actually is. She was horrified by what a failure of a Time Lord the Doctor was until she realized he was happy, and that that was an option.

Yaz: I love how she seems so normal and together, got involved by chance doing her job, but slowly it becomes clear that she was never ok and somehow this was the best thing that could have happened to her. She was kidnapped into this but instead of missing home she fell in love. She gets stuck on Earth without the Doctor twice and spent both times (1) pining and (2) taking charge to save the world. She talks like she knows what to do better than any other human in the room (and often does), but still works well on a team. She ran into a kid she'd vaguely known in elementary school and his step-grandfather and then ended up traveling with them for years and becoming best friends. She should not have been a cop, however, and would have made a better social worker.

Ryan: He can't ride a bike at 19 but has yet to give up trying. It doesn't come up as much as I'd like, but he is casually disabled. He has a temper, which sort of led to him allowing a murderous alien onto Earth, but he is also so full of compassion for every random person in need they meet. He actually had a life at home and, though he stayed willingly (after getting kidnapped), he struggled with missing his friends and the normality and comfort they represented. It took running around saving worlds to make him admit he should forge a familial bond with his dead grandma's husband. He also made up with his dad (he really did the opposite arc of starting with a strong family and pulling them apart when he left). He got to leave when he chose and be safe and happy, but never stopped trying to protect his world.

Jamie: He also never understands what is happening, but he's mostly fine with that. He's just happy to be along for the ride with the Doctor, being gay and Scottish throughout time and space, ready to stab people (he would have gotten along with Leela tbh). He's good at drawing connections between things he has no context for and the closest thing he understands, and I love it because my brain does that thing too of drawing comparisons to things I've seen. If the Time Lords didn't take his memories, he would have stayed with the Doctor until eventually dying for him.

Susan: She is sensitive and autistic and not cut out for so much drama. Sure, she understands what the Doctor is talking about, and she wasn't technically kidnapped, but she was happy pretending to be a human girl in 1963 and I don't think she ever particularly wanted to keep going adventuring. But she's still enthusiastic and outgoing and just doing her best. She sort of adopted Barbara as her weird protective aunt.

Clara: She was never a normal person. She is naturally manipulative, bossy, controlling, and a bit ruthless. She didn't use most of these traits overmuch until she met the Doctor, but they were there. Luckily, she also has a fairly strong moral compass, so she isn't really a horrible person. But watching a human person surprise the Doctor by out-Doctoring him is delightful. She is also addicted to the thrill and adventure of it all, and no matter how much she likes the idea of having a normal life on the side it could never compare. I don't think she'd have survived going back to a normal human existence like Sarah had to.

Zoe: "The Doctor is almost as smart as me." She is somehow a teenager and a space librarian with a perfectly normal education level for her time that makes her a genius nearly everywhere she goes. Important to note, she is also an actual genius. She helped fend off cybermen one time and got adopted by a gay alien and his historical boyfriend, both of whom are determined to protect her but both of whom are also considerably less competent than she is. She would never have gone home if she wasn't forced to.

Martha: She is one of the most normal people on this list: a hardworking medical student with a loving but mildly dysfunctional family. Her choice of one trip in the tardis after the hospital situation is actually a pretty normal one even: who would say no to a chance to time travel? But she makes herself extraordinary through pure kindness and determination. She's so full of caring, but won't put up with people walking all over her or allow any sort of cruelty. She is one of the only ones with the strength to leave when she needs to, to take care of herself, but even so she can't forget what she knows and abandon people and quickly ends up working for UNIT and then on her own to save and protect people.

Barbara: Omg she's so weird. She's a history teacher who gets to travel through history, and is understandably delighted and horrified by this. But her response to being concerned for a student and unable to contact her family was to stalk this child to her home and then into a police box in a junkyard; it's kind of her own fault she got kidnapped, though the throughout time and space part was unpredictable. She saw an autistic alien teenager and realized no one else was going to parent her, so took that responsibility upon herself. Despite never stopping trying to get home (and eventually taking a great risk to do so), she really was delighted by so much of what they ran across. She is one of four people who know that the Doctor's manipulative curiosity is responsible for the daleks threatening the universe. She's so great.

Jo: Assigned companion because no one knew what to do with her, not even really liked by the Doctor at first, but threw her entire self enthusiastically into the job. She did not believe the Doctor could travel through time and space and really thought it was just a quirk that he was always trying to fix his time machine, but she liked him anyway. I'm not convinced she believed he was an alien, either, or knew enough about science to realize (at first) that his was more advanced than it should have been. But she was happy to help, and to learn, and just generally be along for the ride.

Liz: Thought she was too smart to be working as the Doctor's assistant, and she was right. A proper scientist who absolutely understood that his science was alien and advanced, but also how ridiculous these situations were and wasn't afraid to challenge the science that shouldn't have made sense or refuse to believe something until she saw proof. Left, of her own choice, without anything horrible happening to her; a minor miracle! Also counts as a historical queer icon, even though technically that didn't come up in the show. It is canon and I like to imagine between the lines her life as a queer lady in the 70's.

Vicki: Not a genius by her time's standards, but her standard education makes her one almost wherever she goes. Left to her own devices stranded on a planet and orphaned, she adopted a giant alien creature as a pet and set up a routine for survival. Tried to go on a relaxing Roman vacation once and ended up poisoning Nero. Adventurous, clever, and easily bored: no wonder the Doctor liked her.

Victoria: The daughter of a scientist who couldn't care less about science. Orphaned by the daleks and immediately adopted by the weird gay alien and his boyfriend who was historical even to her. Later more permanently adopted by a very nice couple in a century she's not even from. She taught Jamie to read.

Ian: Ok, so stalking a teenager into a junkyard wasn't his idea, but he did go along with it. A science teacher who got to see futuristic space science, though I don't think he enjoyed a lot of it as much as Barbara did. He was a good practical balance for everyone else in the tardis, though.

Graham: He's so ordinary, in the best way. I love how consistently his job as a bus driver is plot relevant. He brings sandwiches because the Doctor can't be bothered to feed them regularly. He's down for adventure but also practical about it.

Ruby: She has such a fairytale quality. She loves her mom, she isn't running away from anything, but she sure is running. She's running around the universe playing dress up. And I suspect that with more time separation, she will start to seem less normal and well adjusted and weirder in her own way.

Dodo: I actually only saw her in like 2 serials because so many are missing, and her departure felt sort of forced, but I liked her. She was SO enthusiastic about everything, and had no intention of listening to anyone who told her what to do.

Dan: I like him fine, and although it wasn't for fun he did sort of choose to stay and then to leave when he was ready. He's not the most interesting, though.

Rose: She is my line between companions I like and companions I don't. She's both caring and imperfect in ways that can be fun, but she was a little too consistently mean to Mickey (and her mom) for my taste, and had a habit of worrying about her own enjoyment above all other concerns, at least when people weren't actively being killed. Was definitely addicted to the adventure. There's nothing strictly wrong with a character with any of these traits (except for writing in Mickey just to have him bullied constantly), but she's not really my thing. Still, she's mainly THIS low on the list because I'm tired of the fandom focus on shipping her with ten constantly and also smoothing out all of her flaws.

Steven: His backstory and initial appearance were so cool, and then his actual character was kind of a wet noodle.

Amy: Yes her backstory was interesting too, but she mostly could have bee replaced by a lamp and it would have made no difference.

Rory: Like Amy but worse; he could have been replaced by a hat on the lamp.

Harry: He did have a personality, and it was the wrong one. I don't even usually include him in my companion lists because I disliked him so much. 50% of his personality was being sexist to Sarah while she coped more competently than him, and the rest was just being annoying.

Andrew had never really seen the point of making a bigger deal of 'milestone' birthdays. I mean, sure, you can contemplate your life at 20 or 30 or 40, but you could equally contemplate the past decade at 24 or 36 or 41. Now however, at age 30, he found himself drawn into reflecting back even so.

To be fair, his life was hugely different to the way it had been ten years ago. At 20, only a couple of years out of a childhood spent in children's homes and foster care, Andrew was completely without ties.

He travelled around, taking any job he could, and only staying until he had enough money to move on to the next town. Then, at 25, he'd come to Richmond.

He'd got a job as usual, but in a matter of months, he also had a girlfriend, a dog and an apartment. True, the only one of those things he still had now was the the dog, but he hadn't exactly shaken off the bonds of adult responsibility either.

He'd lost the job because of his somewhat chaotic relationship with the girlfriend. Then in quick succession he broke up with the girlfriend, got the apartment and got the dog. Then he got another job working for the brother of the woman who had just fired him. The ex-girlfriend left town, came back, and then started working for the same guy as Andrew. Not that it mattered because, by then, he had another girlfriend.

He'd met Tracy through an online dating site. She was living in a cottage in Bluewater Village that had belonged to her late grandparents, with her daughter Tania. 

She was also studying for a Communications degree at SSU. Their relationship had developed quickly, and Andrew (and his dog) left the apartment to move out to Bluewater village with her. 

Tracy's parents now owned the cottage, and they'd let her stay there rent free while she was in college. It was only fair that they start to pay after Andrew moved in with her. Money was tight but Tracy grew vegetables for them and Andrew did extra shifts, and they were a happy little family.

As for Andrew's other extended family, as he'd told Tracy they weren't really people you'd want to get to know. He'd kept in loose contact with a couple of relatives, though, and through them he learned about a distant cousin, a five year old boy who needed a home following the dissolution of his own family. 

Andrew's experiences in state care hadn't been too bad, but he'd heard the horror stories from others. And in any case, a home and family of your own were going to be better no matter what. They were far from rich but they were sure they could afford another child, and there was some government support for foster parents. Following a hectic series of appointments, lessons in kinship fostering, home reviews and legal advice, Neal joined their family.

Tania was used to being an only child, and it took her a while to accept Neal. After a couple of years, they now got on well. 

There was still the occasional argument, but no more than any other kids growing up in the same family. And they really were all family now, after Andrew and Tracy were married a couple of summers ago.

It was a quiet ceremony in their backyard, with only their children and Tracy's parents and a couple of close friends as guests.

They'd kept it small partly because of the cost, and partly because Tracey's friend Juliana was finally planning her own wedding for that autumn, and they didn't want to steal the attention from her when she'd had so many problems and delays.

These guys have never had an update since I recreated my neighborhood in TS3, so there's a lot to get through.

Neal joined the family almost immediately after I recreated them in TS3. I had set up Story Progression for the household and turned off pregnancy - but I forgot to turn off adoption. Family-orientated sims that they are, the next time I went to play the household it had a new addition. I had played other households for some time and I didn't have a save before it happened, so he got to stay. I made him a family member of Andrew because that made more sense than a couple in their position intentionally seeking to adopt an unrelated child.

Everything Andrew describes in the first part of the story happened back in TS2 and on the blog - you can find the updates by following his tag. It was a slightly crazy period in the story, but it all seems to have worked out well in the end.

My Thoughts on Conrad Fisher

Ladies and Gentlemen-men-men. I do believe that it is time for a (*drum roll please*)... A CONRAD POST!!!! Let's go. Let's turn up!

Okay. I am actually so excited for this!

Okay. Conrad FIsher. Con. Connie. Connie Baby. (Multiple nicknames). My husband. My man. (My nicknames for him). *wink wink nudge nudge*.

Let's talk about him. Shall we?

Okay. So. I decided that I would list some pros and cons. And then give a summary/wrapping up what I discussed.

So let's get started! Keep in mind. This is my own opinion. Again no hate toward my Connie baby.

Pros:

Cute as hell.

The Taylor Swift songs (obvi).

He's good at surfing, sailing, volleyball, and guitar.

Great hair.

He can dance/remember all the dances from previous deb ball.

Winter Conrad (1 million points).

Sticks up for Belly and Jere.

Taught Belly how to dance.

Gave up smoking when Belly said she didn't want him to smoke.

Super smart.

Fireplace scene (oh my lawd).

Helped Belly win the volleyball tournament.

Can be caring (when he's not in a mood).

In conclusion. Conrad Fisher is a good guy. Yes, he has his problems. But, he also has his good moments. Conrad is one of those characters that everyone feels like is... misunderstood and taken for granted. Like, you just want to give him a hug. This is how he is portrayed in the books and in the show. (In my opinion). I love Conrad. Well, happy Conrad. I get why Belly loves him so much. Because, when he's not solemn or somber or sad or closed off. He's a really nice person and someone that people actually like to be around. Conrad and Belly are obviously endgame. I mean they do get married. And I'm at peace with that. Because, even though I'm team Jeremiah. I can see why other people are team Conrad. I mean he is Belly's first love. But, me. I'm just a sucker for a, best friend to lovers trope. And, that's why I am a jellyfisher. But. Me having watched the show and read the books... I love how they brought Conrad's character to life and just made him, ten times better in the show. Because, in the books I didn't care for him as much as I do in the show. Like, I hated him in the books. But, that's not the point. Conrad is a very sensitive guy and I feel like if he worked on his communication skills, he would be a whole lot better. Because, right now. He's lacking in that department. In the end... Jelly for life. But. Connie Baby definitely has my heart.

They met in a good ol tavern brawl, Nayden gang was setting up but not minding their own business, Sharni was a on a server shift and getting harassed, Nayden and Lucas stepped in, got hit in their noggings and hell broke loose. Sharni thought that was dumb. Nayden just respects women that much

Is it embarrassing if i don’t remember? I think it was Tal on some mission running into Kadiz like wtf if that and Kadiz wanting to help out. Tal, the non judgemental angel he is, wasn’t grossed out like most people would be seeing Kadiz for the first time, more curious.

Kadiz though he was kinda spooky (with being geared up and all), but once back at base while everyone was suspicious of her he treated her well and she never forgot about it

What does this OTP have in common with one another?

They are both kind and giving, look after the people they love and appreciate the small things in life

Nayden tried, got turned down the first time since Sharni wasn’t ready yet. Then some time later she went for him

I think it would be Tal, Kadiz was grown up in a such an environment that she didn’t really know what she was feeling and what to do with it

What would they consider the most romantic thing that happened between them?

Not their actual wedding, that was a whole circus of pomp and circumstance. Neither really the proposal, as Nayden was sorta forced to do it (i mean becoming king was one thing and technically he didn’t need a bride but that would look bad if he didn’t take Sharni as his queen). So something in between those two events, a small gathering with friends and vowing their undying love and loyalty to each other, somewhere hidden away.

He walks away from her to go get the breakfast so she follows and says “Yea I would love some breakfast now.”

She walks up to him and takes her plate and backs away from him due to the fact that he seems annoyed with her. She couldn’t help wanting to go home but she also felt like she needed to stay because people go through things and you never know until it is too late.

She taps his shoulder and he looks at her for a moment then looks back down then he says “What do you want?” He said coldly

She smiles and says “May I feed you? Since we are spending time together we should get to know each other. Oh oh sorry that was stupid sorry for suggesting that.”

Then he said “We should go for a walk, if that is alright with you?” She nodded her head and said “That would be lovely.”

The go out an start to take a walk around his garden and her face once she saw how big his back yard is and how beautiful his garden area was. She almost forgot who she was with for a moment until he held her hand.

She was back in reality then she realized she started to walk away from his side and said “Oh sorry I am being silly today, I saw your garden and almost ran up to the beautiful flowers.” Her eyes reflect the love she had in her voice for nature.

He can’t be cold to her he realized, she has him wrapped around her finger and she is wrapped around his heart.

She thinks he must be lonely and needs a friend but he wants her to marry him and have her all for himself.

Then she says “Hey do you like arcades and books and coffee? I saw a store that has a library, arcade and coffee shop. I about face planted the ground wanting to go in.” She hops like a little bunny with a big grin on her face.

And his poor heart couldn’t handle her cuteness and he wanted to eat her up. He felt his ears curl up in pleasure and he wanted to snap and tell her how happy he was.

He is a bit delusional and doesn’t know he was beginning to snap back like his old self. Instead of an answer he just blankly stares at her but he insanity in his eyes started to show, he is also shaking a bit. He couldn’t stay cold to her, he didn’t know he started to cry until she comforted him.

She says “O-oh Mr. Jeon did I cross a boundary, if so I am sorry and we won’t go there, we can stay here in the garden.” She wants to hug him because she doesn’t like when people are crying.

Again he fell to his knees and broke down, and she cuddled him close to her without thinking. Then she realized she was touching him when he needed space and she was about to leave when his vice grip went around her waist and his face in her chest.

Her eyes widened and started to pat the man who is sobbing but she didn’t know why. She doesn’t know where to step because one mistake from her she feels like he will snap and kill her family.

I’m going to start journaling again. I did it on an app on my phone the other day but Tumblr is just easier for the handoff capability between my phone and my laptop. I’ll copy here the brief summary of the events that have transpired over the six months after Andrew and I broke up. 

“Where did that leave me? I was absolutely devastated. I gave my virginity to this guy, shared so much of myself, introduced him to my family as the guy I’d marry, and now I’m all alone. I never felt more alone. I felt a certain kind of “alone” during the relationship but this post-break up state of being alone made being alive the most exhausting thing I could think of.

I started using the dating apps. It was nerve-wracking but weirdly entertaining. It got me out of the house for sure. At first I was hesitant and shy, and mainly just talked to guys, but I started going on dates in June. I really wanted another boyfriend so I was trying to be meticulous about my choices. By the end of the month, I was already kind of fatigued with the dating game. Having the same conversations over and over took the fun out of it. 

I went on a date with Joseph during the first week of July but I was so in my head about it that I didn’t give it the credit it deserved. He really was the only one I felt like I could speak honestly about the dating lifestyle with. Probably part of me thought that merely having that conversation made him not into me. Either way, my dad got his cancer diagnosis the week after that. 

Joseph and I fell out of contact and I went on other dates. I almost slept with a guy named Andrew. He made me watch two horrible horror movies before trying to get me to spend the night. I regret going on that date but I’m so glad I didn’t sleep with him. 

Joseph snapped me again after a little while and I asked if we could go on another date. We had said we would hang out on Sunday but he forgot, and offered to hang out with me that following Thursday. It was the best date I’d ever gone on. We talked so long at dinner that we almost missed the movie. I enjoyed the movie so much, and made a move in the theater. We made out in his truck afterwards and I asked if he’d let me stay over. We went to his place and had sex, after which he told me he wasn’t really looking for a girlfriend. That was a blow. I’ll never forget that feeling. I’d just given myself to a guy again and this time was instantly punished for it. At that point, I said fuck it and slept with the next three guys that I vibed with. Joseph and I were hanging out and having sex, but I never forgot that he’d said he didn’t want a girlfriend. So I continued seeing the other guys too. I looped in my friends at work. They all had their opinions and comments. I was just living it up, I told them, having my hot girl summer.

At the beginning of September, Joseph blindsided me by asking me to be his girlfriend. Of course, I said yes. He was clearly the favorite and everyone at work knew that too. It was too good an opportunity to pass up, despite how wildly unready I was. I was in no state of mind to be a girlfriend. So painfully unprepared, I slept with two more guys in that next week. Why did I sleep with them, when I knew Joseph was the one I wanted? There’s a million possible reasons. I didn’t trust Joseph with my feelings, and I wanted to hurt him before he hurt me. I was running on pure impulse. I didn’t want to cancel the plans I already had with the others in case something went wrong with my relationship Joseph. There’s no good answer. I cheated on him. TWICE. He found out that I’d seen someone else about two weeks later after we had sex on the day I got my IUD placed. I’d never had anyone yelling at me like he did that night. He called me a whore and made me feel disgusting for seeing other people while I was seeing him. And after going through my phone, he found out I went on a date after us becoming official. He pushed me out of the way, left my place after I chased him out, but we stayed together after that.

Every now and then he’d get angry about that. He found out about how I’d woken up naked on the couch after hanging out with a friend from high school. Then finally in December, before we were going to the Trail of Lights, he found out about the second date I went on. He really lost it then. He hit me for the first time.

We were already planning on taking a trip to Boston to spend Christmas with his family. He was so distraught over the idea of breaking up before this trip that instead he decided to relapse to cope with his emotions. So he was actively relapsing and physically abusing me when we went on this trip.” 

He admitted one of those nights when he was really drunk that he’d slept with a few transgender women. I wanted to thank him for being vulnerable so I admitted that I slept with a guy in that first week we were dating and I went on two other dates.

It was supposed to be a really special time but it was completely overshadowed by the fact that I’d been hiding so many details and lying and gaslighting him over and over again. He’d be very vulnerable and honest with me about it and I’d still lie because I couldn’t afford to feel the way I felt before him and after Andrew. But the fact is, I never processed that breakup and all I was doing was hurting him and myself by letting that shit just sit and rot within me. I would tell him I knew this fact, but still kept lying. This was coupled by the fact that he was verbally, emotionally, and physically abusing me and I was traumatized, which made me want to come clean even less than I already did.

He went out with his friends in March and got drunk and high and ended up in a strip club. He had told me his battery was dying even though I knew it was a lie. He messaged me from his friends instagram telling me to come get him from the strip club. I’ve never been to a fucking strip club. We went in and he paid for me to get a dance and then for us to get a dance as a couple. He said he’d slept with two strippers and I got really uncomfortable and we left. That night he kept doing coke and went through my phone and found out about the other guy I slept with during the first week of our relationship. More abuse came from that.

He went to detox following that episode and decided that he really wanted to be with me and that we could work on this.

A week later at the beginning of April, shit blew up again after we went to the movies, but he got appendicitis and I had to take care of him.

A week after THAT, he started drinking again. His birthday was ruined because we were fighting. I came home after he’d kicked me out and really broke it down that I knew I needed to put in more work. He seemed to have a change of heart after that conversation and really tried to focus on getting better. We even got a dog.

A month later, he relapsed while on work trips and had a horrible episode at the beginning of May related to some texts I had deleted from my coworker. He started drinking that Sunday morning and continued into the evening. He told me to take the dog out and snuck out of the house to go get cocaine. I tracked his location going back and forth between strip clubs. I called him and he said he was dealing and wouldn’t be back until late. He came home at 11 and told me he loved me. He had blood on his shirt and told me he’d had a gun at his head twice that night. 

A day or two after that, he said it’d probably be best for him to go back to rehab. I told him I would fully support that. His mom helped us out and I dropped him off that Wednesday. We wouldn’t be able to talk or text so we started writing letters. Since he decided to go in, he was really positive and has been that way even through the last month that he’s been home.

okay small facts and details that happened in this AU:

Ashborn indded was Sung’s predecessor, but he wasn’t conneceted with them through blood. Since Ashborn wasn’t married and never had a child he assigned his closest friend as his heir thus making Sungs his heirs.

Sungs don’t have strong heirarchy or inheritance, so Jin-Woo became next heir simply because he wanted Jin-Ah to be free of family responsibilities so she can pursue her dream

Even though Sungs come from Ashborn who got his nobility through knighthood, now Sungs are famous for holding mines and they specialize in sapphires 

No one actually presses Jin-Woo into finding a wife and getting a child because of nature of their noblehood that allows to make non blood related person a heir as long as they’re adopted any way into family. Thus Jin-Woo himself doesn’t pursue any relationship and honestly is just bored out of his mind. He’s a man who enjoys a good hunt or mining, he even has a collection of unique gems

Jin-Chul comes from near borderline poverty background, but as an orphan he refused to become a street rat and steal, so he signed up for navy. Since he’s been a hardworking kid that showed knack for enginnering and constructing as well as constantly observed other sailors, Go Gun-Hee noticed him (since Jin-Chul got assigned to his ship) and unofficially took kid as his protege, hence why Jin-Chul was able to get proper education that otherwise would’ve been impossible.

After Gun-Hee was excused from service (basically he critisized higher ups’ decisions) he opened a small trading company and considered inviting Jin-Chul to work for him but understood that doing so will strip Jin-Chul of a chance to build his carrer and pursue a dream. Jin-Chul never forgets about his foster father and constantly exchanges letters with him.

After Gun-Hee’s retirement, his crew was spread to other ships. Jin-Chul as a very good engineer was assigned to constructing team of ‘Titanic’ hence why he has a notebook filled with ship’s construction and details, and that’s how he ended up as a part of crew, even if his main job was focused on lowest decks.

Jin-Chul actually invited Gun-Hee on cruise sailing, but man declined, saying that he will welcome Jin-Chul in port when ship will be back (Jin-Chul later was so glad Gun-Hee declined, he can’t even imagine Gun-Hee’s frozen corpse among others).

Jin-Ah and Jin-Woo got sent by their parents on a cruise since it was holidays and both Jin-Ah and Jin-Woo had nothing to do, so they wanted their children to have fun.

Despite being nobles, both Jin-Woo and Jin-Ah don’t like interacting with other norbles. Jin-Ah has more freedom, so she either stays in cabin reading books or goes to middle class deck to chat with people here. Jin-Woo doesn’t has that much luxury so he needs to attend at least some parties and socialize (and he hates it).

Jin-Chul actually met Jin-Ah earlier than he met Jin-Woo. They didn’t meet personally, but Jin-Ah found Jin-Chul’s notebook he forgot during his short stay in middle class deck. Later that same notebook helped Jin-Ah to survive first hours of disaster since it contained notes and floor plans of entire ship before she crossed paths with Jin-Chul. 

Jin-Chul and Jin-Woo’s first meeting happened on 1st class deck after Jin-Woo sneaked on working Jin-Chul who got startled and nearly broke Jin-Woo’s nose with his elbow. How romantic.

Neither of them fell in love at first glance, but Jin-Woo was first to acknowledge his love after hangover since night prior he went to lowest deck to drink with Jin-Chul and meet the crew since Jin-Chul was speaking good things about them.

Jin-Chul is constantly covered in coal since he’s a part of coal team. Said coal gets on Jin-Woo’s clothes but he absolutely doesn’t mind. Jin-Ah jokingly asks if her brother dives nose in into coal pile.

Jin-Woo secretly invites Jin-Chul to his cabin from time to time for talk and chess matches. That’s when Jin-Chul gets officially introduced to Jin-Ah.

Jin-Woo and Jin-Chul have no sense of personal space when it comes to each other, they caually can read same book almost touching cheeks or noses. Jin-Ah finds it cute and gross.

None of the crew likes the captain since he’s known for his zero to none skills, but since he has good looks, charm and charisma he got assigned to Titanic because route is secure and there shouldn’t be any issues. 

When lower deck gets a signal of emergency and news reached about an obstacle right ahead, Jin-Chul observed commands of captain about engine speed and realized that at this rate they will not just kiss said obstacle, they’ll fucking crash into it. He consciously broke navy subordination and asked men to follow his instructions and no one complained because they have more faith in Gun-Hee’s protege than in a prick of a captain. Jin-Chul knows it’s a semi-crime on ship but he brushes it in back of his mind to think about after. Thanks to Jin-Chul sure hit became a possible near miss but since commands on lower and upper deck contradicted each other, it became a sure graze. Knowing things won’t go well after yell on upper decks, he ordered his men to get closer to exits and hold tight, which allowed many men to survive the impact. Jin-Chul was unfortunate enough to be in compartment that got opened.

Prior to disaster Jin-Woo and Jin-Ah had an argument regarding Jin-Chul, Jin-Ah has no bad feelings towards Jin-Chul, but she believes that there’s anything more than a momentary attraction (she’s simply scared of Jin-Woo giving up his heirhood to her). She flees to middle deck in frustration, and after Jin-Woo called down and decided to explain everything properly to Jin-Ah, he went out to find her and that’s where he felt the collision.

Panic arose quickly and Jin-Woo ran in opposing direction to find his sister. Panicked Jin-Ah nearly fell in lower decks but managed to navigate her way around thanks to Jin-Chul’s notebook. She started to slowly panic when she saw water getting into ship and it started to slowly tilt. 

Jin-Chul saw the insane damage on lower decks, as well as gush and many corpses floating in water, mostly peasant people and illegal passengers. He tried not to think too much about it, he really did, but seeing floating corpses of children didn’t help. On his way to upper decks he tried to help everyone alive he encountered, even as water was quickly getting in.

In middle decks Jin-Chul stumbled upon Jin-Ah and started to escord her on upper decks, since due to panic she eventually lost her way. Jin-Ah apologized to him, but he has no idea for what, since she didn’t elaborate.

On passage from middle to upper deck they encounter Jin-Woo, but their meeting cut short by construction falling appart. Jin-Chul says Jin-Woo to get out so they can meet outside on lifeboat. Jin-Woo relucantly agrees (that’s the reason why Jin-Ah ended up with Jin-Chul, instead of going with Jin-Woo: she wasn’t able to reach Jin-Woo before construction falls between them, plus Jin-Chul knows ship’s floor plans and Jin-Woo has faith in him to keep Jin-Ah safe).

Jin-Woo on upper decks helped with evacuation, anxiously waiting for these two to appear. When situation became critical, he was ready to run off to find them, but other passengers forcefully dragged him in boat. 

Jin-Chul and Jin-Ah managed to get out from sinking ship, but ended up in cold waters. Jin-Ah reached hysteria levels and started to panic so much she started to sink, so Jin-Chul placed her on nearest floating surface, giving her his old coat and asking her to look and listen to him so she won’t see floating corpses around them. They kept chatting about silly things, Jin-Chul tried to joke and laugh, telling that Jin-Woo will come to save them, and initially hysterival Jin-Ah starts to calm down and stops wrecking wood piece. As a medic she doesn’t even register at fitst that Jin-Chul, staying in water, accquires hypothermia.

She notices lights of one of safeboats and starts to yell as hard as she can, turning her attention away from Jin-Chul. Jin-Chul feels how his muscles give out and breathing becomes hard, black slowly covering his vision, he doesn’t notice when he lets go. When Jin-Ah turns back, she’s alone. She starts to weep. Jin-Woo and other survivors find her alone on a wood piece, wrapped in man’s coat, shaking and crying, barely able to say anything but pointing at water surface. Jin-Woo gets her on boat and she manages to tell him that Jin-Chul disappeared in water. Jin-Woo dives right in with no hesitation. 

He finds him sinking and manges to catch and drag him on surface before his own muscles give out. He thought about giving Jin-Chul oxygen underwater but remembered Jin-Ah’s nagging how unrealistic this in books, because Jin-Chul is unconscious and his lungs may be full of water at this point. When he gets him on boat, Jin-Ah, who’s out of shock, intructs people on what to do with Jin-Chul. When they manage to get most of water out of his lungs, Jin-Woo wraps him in coat. Jin-Ah doesn’t know what to tell to her brother aside from apology, but Jin-Woo just hugs her, happy that she’s alive.

They all reach shore and get medical treatment. Gun-Hee’s also here and that’s how he meets Sungs. He thanks Jin-Woo on saving his adopted son, but Jin-Woo just replies that Jin-Chul was the one to save them, so he thanks Gun-Hee instead. Jin-Chul later wakes up in hospital covered in many blankets and hot towels placed on him. He’s running a fever so he constantly wakes up and falls asleep again, but others are just happy he’s alive at all. When he’s slightly better to stay awake for longer, he gets diagnosed with pneumonia, which means his sailing career is off limits. He has mixed feelings about it, but he asks how many survived. Later he and Jin-Ah have proper conversation where she properly apologizes to him, but he says she has nothing to apologize for. He asks her to give him her palm and he slightly squeezes it, saying that her hands shake no longer, that she’s a brave young lady whom he saved, so now she can save others without fear.

Several days after Jin-Chul gets informed that he’ll be trialed in his involvment in disaster, since some people informed about lower deck not following captain’s orders but his instead. Jin-Chul gets dragged into court despite not being fully healed, and things look grim for him, because even if he explains things, no one really understands it. Before court started, Jin-Woo asked Jin-Ah to seek and bring Gun-Hee in court, since as a retired high ranked navy his words have weight. Gun-Hee arrives on time and starts to destroy captain’s whole career because he got course of events from Jin-Chul when he woke up and his protege’s actions were correct. People who know starts to give their testimonies in defence of Jin-Chul. He’s found not guilty and all charges were lifted off him. He became sort of a local legend and hero. Gun-Hee invites Jin-Chul to work for his trading company and he happily agrees, even if he can’t sail anymore. He also becomes a consultant in ship’s constructions to prevent such fast sinkings. 

Jin-Ho, a local journalist boy, goes to take interview. He ends up receiving whole story from both accounts, as well as Jin-Ah’s and instead of writing a small publishing he writes whole book that becomes a bestseller. 

Jin-Woo and Jin-Chul get happily married after whole mess. Jin-Ah becomes sort of personal doctor for Jin-Chul to make sure he won’t die of pneumonia, while Jin-Woo spares no money to keep his husband healthy as much as he can. Jin-Woo also makes sure to keep eyes on his loved ones.

Jin-Ah and Jin-Ho later marry as well and Jin-Woo plans to make their child next heir if they won’t be against it, of course. 

Bonus cute or dumb things:

Jin-Woo actually got hit by Jin-Chul’s elbow but played it smooth.

After first proper introduction, Jin-Ah just straight up said ‘You’re equally stupud with him, you’ll fit just fine’ to Jin-Chul (same energy as ‘You’re dumb, i like that in a man’ meme)

Jin-Woo, being unused to strong ‘non high sociaety’ liquor barely manages not to die from brew lower deck men served him when they all were drinking, hence why hangover

Jin-Chul and Jin-Woo once ended up visiting music room and Jin-Chul asked if it’s true that all nobles can play musical instruments. Jin-Woo with the most serious face replies that yes and proceeds to play that awful ‘My heart will go on’ flute cover much to Jin-Chul’s amusement. 

Jin-Woo drags Jin-Chul to dance on barrel since lower deck were having a party, they both end up falling from it because it broke under their weight.

When Jin-Woo tried to clean coal off Jin-Chul’s face, he got some on his fingers. He didn’t notice and remaining of their meeting Jin-Chul tried his best to keep normal face because Jin-Woo accidentially made himself coal whiskers with dirty fibgers

Jin-Woo taught Jin-Chul to play chess while Jin-Chul taught Jin-Woo various card games. 

Jin-Chul honestly had no idea he was the reason Sungs got separated at time of disaster. Jin-Ah later explained it to him but before Jin-Woo’s proper confession he still had no idea what’s the issue here.

Jin-Woo also was the one to ask Jin-Chul to look after Jin-Ah if anything happens on ship. That’s exactly what he tells Jin-Ah when she hystrically asks him why he’s going on such lenghts to help her, but he also adds that since she’s a doctor she must know that all need help and all are worth saving.

Each Sung makes their own jewelry to gift someone instead of proposal ring. For Jin-Woo it’s a sapphire brooch while Jin-Ah made a sapphire necklace. When Jin-Woo gave Jin-Chul his brooch saying he can sell it for good sum of money, he meant it, but also hope Jin-Chul will see it as an actual proposal. Jin-Chul declined but appreaciated the gesture. Then after court Jin-Woo tries again but this time properly gifting Jin-Chul the brooch asking if he’ll be willing to share future with him. This time Jin-Chul agreed and now he wears this brooch where his heart it.

Jin-Chul was very nervious about introducing Jin-Woo to Gun-Hee, but it turns out they became very familiar during time Jin-Chul was unconscious in bed. Sungs equally welcomed Jin-Chul with opened hands. Some time later Gun-Hee’s trading company and Sungs signed a very good contract.

Jin-Ah became Jin-Chul personal doctor to look after his health and repay her rescue. She’s absolutely done with both Jin-Chul and Jin-Woo, but she also confessed Jin-Chul she’s the one who had his notebook. He’s surprised, but really happy that his notes helped Jin-Ah to survive first hours and he gifts it to her. Later notebook becomes a family treasure that gets passed from generation to generation.

Jin-Chul’s pneumonia is actually bad, but Jin-Woo prefers coughing fits and occasional fevers to barely present breathing and cold body. They all came out of this with trauma, and Jin-Woo is really clingy to his husband, especially in bed, to make sure he always stays warm.

Every year Sungs host memorial party where all survivors gather to remember dead ones but also celebrate life. 

Jin-Woo and Gun-Hee share mutual satisfaction when prick of a captain starts to have mental breakdown upon hearing his verdict.

The main drill is that Sungs come from a rather wealthy old noble family (courtesy of Ashborn as their predecessor being royal knight or smth), Jin-Woo is a next heir while Jin-Ah studies to become a doctor (or a nurse depending on timeline it happens im not even completely sure with setting but probably og titanic vibe mixed with Korean Idek wheeze) and parents send them on a cruise ship for vacation (and in hopes jinwoo will meet nice noblewoman or any woman since sungs are pretty chill about bloodline)

Then there’s Jin-Chul who’s a ship engineer/captain in training courtesy of navy captain on pension Gun-Hee. Gun-Hee comes from rather humble background but managed to reach rather prestigious position of first navy and then civil ship captain but now he’s on pension, and this man is an example to Jin-Chul that you can reach your dream despite your upbringing. Jin-Chul himself also comes from rather humble background on verge of poverty but money and fame never fascinated him, but ships and sailing did. When Jin-Chul was assigned on Gun-Hee’s ship as a new engineer, Gun-Hee saw talent in boy and unofficially took him under his wing teaching him to be a captain. Then Gun-Hee left (or honestly more likely was forcefully dismissed) and Jin-Chul got assigned as one of engineers/coal workers on this giant ship, but Gun-Hee still sails under his own name as a trader or smth like that.

Cue sailing day and at evening Jin-Woo excused himself since noble parties bore him to death and anyway, evening is beautiful and sea is calm. Wandering around he stumbles upon Jin-Chul doing small repairs and who nearly hit Jin-Woo in nose with his elbow because he came too close without announcement. Jin-Chul stiffly apologizing because he knows how annoying nobles can be but is surprised when Jin-Woo is the one to apologize for being so careless and invites him for an apology tea or coffee since compared to other choices Jin-Chul seems as a perfect company thanks to his sharp tongue, wits and knowledge.

Some day of cruise pass and they become rather close friends, Jin-Woo visits Jin-Chul in lowest decks which surprises everyone here and they have a rather nice drinking and dancing session, while in turn Jin-Woo helps Jin-Chul to sneak in 1st class deck so they can chat and play chess in peace of room (and so he can introduce Jin-Chul to Jin-Ah). Jin-Woo even tries to gift Jin-Chul his sapphire brooch so he can sell it for nice sum of money and get his own ship or even open his own company or smth, but Jin-Chul politely refuses, satisfied with their friendship.

Cue disaster night. Now think about captain being an incompetent prick (maybe even on levels of Costa Concordia captain damn) and fucking up entire probably miss into sure hit (even if Jin-Chul risked it and asked people to follow his instructions despite it being a big ass discipline insubordination but no one really minded because people saw that captain gives shit orders) but since bridge was still under captains command, instructions contradicted, but it still allowed a graze hit rather than direct one. So yea this gets worse, Jin-Chul was in section that suffered from impact and got tore, barely got out of here along with most of his men. Seeing how fast water fills decks he tells people to go higher and himself runs to find Sungs or other people he knows. Apparently he finds panicking Jin-Ah and through dangers of ice cold water and falling construction manages to cross paths with Jin-Woo until they got separated again. They manage to get out of sinking shell that nearly becomes their coffin (because he promised Jin-Woo to take care of and save Jin-Ah no matter what goddamnit), Jin-Chul manages to place Jin-Ah on some drifting wood before starting to sink because of cold water.

Now, I’m a sucker for happy endings despite shit looking really bad, so let’s say Jin-Woo with others on safe boat manages to find shell shocked Jin-Ah wrapped in Jin-Chul’s coat, pointing at water and trying to say something with her teeth chattering and managing to say that he’s drowning, Jin-Woo saying ‘not on my fucking watch’ and jumps after, managing to grab him and drag on surface, man is absolutely freezing with lips blue and not really conscious but still weakly breathing.

ANYWAY they safely get back on shore, they all get medical treatment, Jin-Chul earns himself pneumonia (well fuck his sailing dreams ig), Sungs’ gratitude for saving their children and a fucking trial because captain blamed entire catastrophe on lower deck crew defying his orders and following engineer’s ones and that’s a big ass crime in navy. Things ain’t looking good because they want to prosecute him in shortest time to give people answers who’s the guilty one, Jin-Woo is really ready to throw hands with people, Jin-Chul’s patient explanations through coughs ain’t helping because no one can confirm accuracy of his words and that’s when Gun-Hee himself enters court saying smth like ‘maybe you should interrogate deck staff too to hear what commands captain was giving’ and then our sir proceeds to destroy this captain‘s whole career. Jin-Chul is cleaned of accusations and becomes a sort of a good example semi-legend, but thanks to extreme colds diving he now can’t sail on long distances but fear not Gun-Hee invites him to work for him since Jin-Chul is out of commission and Jin-Woo once again gifts Jin-Chul a sapphire brooch but this time asking if Jin-Chul will share future with him. Jin-Chul honestly having ??? reaction while Jin-Woo with the most deadpan face asks ‘You seriously think I’ll dive into cold waters of ocean at night to drag you on surface and then using my body warmth to keep you alive if i didn’t cared about you???’

A = Admiration (what do they absolutely adore about you?) Jasper adores how loving you are. You accepted him for who he was as soon as you found out. He never felt as though you were scared of him. You loved his family, and were closest with Alice, who is his best friend(and now yours). When you saw what happened with Bella you didn’t get scared and run away, instead, you stayed. You helped take care of Renesme, and when he and Alice went to find Nahuel, you went with them, and then stayed in a hotel two towns away when it came time for the battle, so that the Volturi would not find out about you. He adores  how fearless you are. B = Body (what is their favorite part of your body?) He loves your hair. Vampire hair is easy to handle, and always looks fantastic, but yours is so… human. He loves how wild it is, and  how untameable it is. He also loves how short you are. You’re taller than Alice, but only by about 5 inches, so there is still a good height distance between the two of you. C = Cuddling (how do they like to cuddle?) Jasper loves when you cuddle into him. He especially likes when you use him as a pillow when you are sleeping, because he can feel how comfortable you feel knowing he is near. D = Dates (what does their ideal date with you look like?) His ideal date with you would actually be spending time with his family. He loves how you just mesh well with everyone in his family, so to him a night playing board games with them would be an ideal date night. Afterwards he would take you on a walk through their property, and you would wind up spending the night in his bedroom, with the rest of the Cullen clan being quiet throughout the house so as not to disturb you. E = Emotions (how do they express emotion around you?) Jasper is so tuned into all of the emotions of the people around him because of his gift, that he doesn’t realize that you can always tell exactly what he’s feeling. You picked up on it pretty quick, because in your mind he deserved to have someone understand his feelings the way that he understands everyone else’s. F = Family (do they want one? If they do, when?) He does, but not in the normal sense. He saw and went through what it was like when Bella was pregnant, so you best believe he is not going to get you pregnant. He does want to marry you though, and you both have already agreed on when you will become a vampire. Neither of you ever want to be without the other again. G = Gifts (how do they feel about gift giving? What are their habits when it comes to this?) He’s rich, so he is always giving you gifts. Hell, he bought you a whole car for your one year anniversary, because he was tired of hearing the squeaky brakes on the car you had, because you refused to get them checked out. For your two year he took you to Isle Esme for 2 weeks(however he forgot the sunscreen so by day three you were hiding inside away from the sun because you had already been badly sunburned) H = Holding Hands (when/how do they like to hold hands?) Jasper doesn’t really hold your hands. His way of “holding hands” is to wrap his arms around you, or to stand behind you with his hands on your hips.. I = Injury (how would they act if you got hurt?) This man would never forgive himself if you got hurt, even if he wasn’t there. Say you slipped down your stairs in the morning and broke your tailbone? He’d try to say it was his fault because he wasn’t there. Any injury, you name it, and somehow it is his fault. J = Jokes (do they like to joke around with or prank you? how?) Jasper isn’t really a joker. He’ll joke around and roughhouse with his brothers, but he has a tendency to be more on the serious side when it comes to you. K = Kisses (how do they like to kiss you?) At first it is gentle kisses, but as Jasper becomes more in control of himself around you, they begin to get deeper and harsher. L = Love (how do they show you they love you?) He shows you he loves you by how he treats you. By how important it was to him that you got along with his family. He also constantly has a hand on you whenever you’re together, because he knows that it makes you feel loved. M = Memory (favorite memory together?) After the fight with the Volturi when he called you and told you he was on his way to pick you up. You knew that from then on everything would be okay. N = Nightmare (what is their worst fear?) His worst fear is losing control around you and killing you. He knows that there is always a small possibility that something could happen, and that is his biggest fear ever. O = Oddity (what is one quirk they have?) His quirk is his gift. He can feel so many emotions all at once, and he can change people’s feelings. When it comes to vampire dangers, he will only tell you if it would be dangerous for you not to know. He didn’t tell you Bella was pregnant until probably two days before she gave birth, because you had been on vacation and he didn’t want to worry you while you were with your family. T = Time (how long did it take you to get together?) You moved to Forks during your senior year, around October. Bella was still in her depressive state, and the Cullens were not around. When Bella got kind of okay again, the two of you became fast friends, so when the Cullens came back she made sure to introduce you to them. You and Jasper hit it off, and before graduation you guys were dating. Everyone at Forks High was surprised to learn that Alice and Jasper had not been together the whole time, but they were just really close because they “bonded over their family history before they were adopted”. The two of you are a less toxic version of Bella and Edward. U = Upset (how do they act when you’re upset?) When you’re upset with Jasper, he gives you space. He will wait until you call him and are wanting to talk things out with him to come see you again. He grew up in the south, and that is the respectful thing to do. When you are upset with other things, such as your family, he will sit and listen to you rant or cry until you are ready to just sit and be with him. He absolutely refuses to manipulate your emotions. V = Vaunt (what are they proud of? Do they like to show you off?) He loves to show you off. All of the vampires from all over that came for the fight were introduced to you before they left, because Jasper is so proud to be able to call you his. W = Warrior (how do they feel about you fighting? Would they fight for you, beside you, etc?) He doesn’t want you to fight. Most of the time any fights that happen happen between different supernatural beings, and he believes, at least while you are still human, that there is too big of a chance that you will get hurt. X = X-Ray (how well are they able to read you?) His gift makes it really easy for him to read your emotions, so he can read you pretty easily. Y = Yes (how would they propose to you?) He would wait until his entire family was on a hunting trip(purposefully leaving just the two of you) and he would cook you your favorite meal. Then, later that night, he would take you on a walk around his property, to a space that Alice and Rosalie had prepared, and he would get down on one knee and ask you there. Z = Zen (what makes them feel calm?) When he knows that you are safe. He also gets really calm when he watches you playing with Renesme. You babysat a lot in high school, so you’re really good with her. It makes him calm because he knows that even though the two of you will never have your own children you at least get to experience being an aunt. (Renesme calls you Aunt Y/N)
