Had a successful trip to the spice store today :)
#apparently the trial bags of vanilla sugar have trans flags on them#I used up my 1/4 cup jar fast last time so I got a 1/2 cup jar#and unfortunately the jars don’t have trans flags on them :(#most of the jars don’t have pictures on them so it matches the other branding#so it makes sense#but also: why leave all the rainbows and trans flags for the trial bags?#I’m a simple person with simple desires#if they’d put a little rainbow on the jars of poppy seeds I would’ve fought harder to get them#(as it is: neither of us really uses poppy seeds enough to justify getting a jar. especially when we got so many other things)#(but I am easily swayed by rainbow colored marketing and could’ve been convinced to go find some poppy seed recipes lmao)#but yeah! sooooooo many spices#so so so so many#I’m very pleased#we’re not gonna need to stock up on spices for at Least another year or so#at least that’s how long it’s been since our last big spice order lol#and now that I’m familiar with what th store looks like I’ll feel better about maybe stopping in instead of ordering online#which means making smaller but more frequent purchases#instead of waiting a year until we were out of basically everything#so so so happy for the big vanilla sugar jar because I’ve been missing that in my coffee for awhile#and gf is very pleased to have her beloved tsardust memories#and also lots of other things but those are the big exciting ones imo

"Alright cutie, what flavor? Strawberry, chocolate, vanilla or funfetti?"
Eri gasped and looked up at you with glimmering ruby eyes, "Funfetti! I love the pretty colors!"
You smiled and nodded as you held her hand and walked about the baking isle, gathering all the ingredients needed to make a super colorful and sweet cake. Hitoshi trailed behind pushing the grocery cart that was full of food for the week. Now, he let you take the reigns since he knew absolutely nothing about baking.
If it were up to him he would've just grabbed a box of pre-made cake mix but you didn't do that. Instead you gathered up baking powder, salt and sugar, flour and a lot of sprinkles. You also grabbed other items to make icing, to which again he would've chosen jar icing. He could tell that from now on, when he wanted something sweet that he wasn't going to get it from a box, you'd die before doing such a thing.
Together the three of you made your way around the store for any other items before going to wait in line at the cash register. You picked Eri up and swung her around in circles as you stood there, making her giggle and squeal. Hitoshi watched on with a big smile, thinking of how he could totally get used to something like this in the future. For now though, he liked that this arrangement was only temporary, he was selfish, no lie, and wanted you all to himself for a while.
Holding Eri on your hip you laughed and brushed her hair out of her blushing face. She worked on catching her breath from all the giggles and touched your cheek. "Your scratch is almost gone, that's good."
You nodded and grabbed her hand from your face, "Mhm, and it's all thanks to Toshi. He's been great at taking care of me!"
"You can expect your bill in the mail!" He smirked and leaned over, placing a kiss to your cheek.
You rolled your eyes and nudged him with your elbow. Eri giggled, small fingers twirling and playing with your hair, she had a look on her face that made you believe she had a question so you asked if she needed something.
"I was just wondering; can I call you Unnie?"
Hitoshi quirked a purple brow and smirked. "What are you even saying weirdo?"
You slapped the back of his head, making him chuckle and hold his hands up as a type of apology and proceeded to explain to Hitoshi.
"It's just a Korean term for a girl older than you, like a big sister."
"Eri how do you even know Korean slang?" Hitoshi asked with a bewildered look.
You and the little girl both looked at him with serious as can be faces.
"BTS," you replied in unison with a nonchalant tone as if this were something completely normal.
Hitoshi smirked and started to place all the groceries on the register belt, mumbling a tease under his breath. You turned your foot up behind you and kicked his butt playfully before walking to the front of the register counter, leaving your boyfriend to do all the work.
"Eri you can call me whatever you want. If Unnie makes you happy then I'm fine with it, I actually like it to be honest!"
Eri smiled and hugged your neck, "Okay then, from now on you're my Unnie!"
Once you got home, everyone helped to unload groceries and put them up. Hitoshi started on dinner, you and Eri started on dessert. While the oven pre-heated, you mixed together dry ingredients and set them aside to work on mixing the other items. You held the electric mixer as Eri added butter to your dry ingredients, laughing when she straight up dumped a chunk of it into the cake flour causing a cloud of the powder to envelop her face.
Alternately she'd add things as you mixed them, sometimes messing up but it was okay and it made your time fun. Hitoshi leaned over the counter and watched as you struggled together sometimes with the mixing, having to switch between making sure you did mix while Eri helped and you sometimes took over to make sure certain things were done right so the cake would cook properly. You had to ask Hitoshi for help at one point.
"Isn't there an easier way to do this? You know to mix and add at the same time?"
You laughed and wiped your cheek, leaving a streak of flour on it. "Yeah, it's called a stand-mixer."
You released Hitoshi from his duty as you and Eri continued and got your baking pans ready. The lavenderette knit his brows and questioned why you didn't have one if you had all these other baking utensils.
"Because, I never had an extra $300 to just throw down for one! I've managed just fine so far, so leave us alone and get our food done!"
Shinsou laughed and kissed your cheek and ruffled Eri's hair. Quickly, he snuck the tip of his pinky into the raw finished cake batter, snickering and sucking it clean as Eri whined and slapped him.
"I hope you get sohmanela!"
You and Hitoshi snorted at her adorable attempt at the big word.
Eri had the honors of dumping all the sprinkles into the batter and had a little too much fun as she piled them high. The cake would definitely be colorful! After you poured the batter into the pans Hitoshi helped you place them into the oven and set a timer. You and Eri gave each other messy high fives, causing flour to cloud the air.
"Now, time to make icing!"
As you and Eri made colorful bright pink icing, Hitoshi finished dinner and set it on low to keep it warm. He walked over to the other side of the counter where you both sat that morning and grabbed his camera from out of his bag. He wasn't going to miss capturing these overly sweet and messy moments.
Between shots, he'd steal dollops of the icing, causing you and Eri to chew him out. Finally you had enough and stuck your own finger into the icing, getting a big dollop of it on the end of your digit. You offered it to Hitoshi with a sweet smile, to which he got a picture of. He leaned over the counter to remove the icing from your finger but once he was close enough you smirked and turned your finger over, smearing the pink glob across the bridge of his nose and cheek.
"Oh you're dead!" Hitoshi chuckled and placed the camera on the counter.
You stuck out your tongue, dodging as Hitoshi sprinted around the counter and lunged after you. He was quick to turn on his feet and chase you down the hall, catching you in no time and tackling you to the floor. His knees straddled your hips and his calves held your shins down while he pinned your forearms to the floor.
"Eri! Bring me the biggest spoonful of icing, Unnie wants some of it!"
"Hah, she won't turn on me!" You replied with a smile.
"Wanna bet?"
Only a few seconds passed and you heard little footsteps coming your way, you were positive Eri was coming to your rescue. That was until she knelt down next to both of you with a literal spoonful of pink icing.
You've never felt so betrayed.
"Here you go Unnie!" She innocently said as she went to hand you the spoon. She truly believed the lie from Hitoshi's mouth.
"I'll take that for her Eri, thank you. How about you go and pick out a movie for us to watch?" Hitoshi suggested as he took the spoon.
Eri smiled and turned around to skip back down the hall, leaving you on your own. Hitoshi smiled and wasted no time spreading the thick icing all over your neck, chin and mouth. You squirmed under him, laughing and whining at the weird feeling of the sweet substance.
"Toshi! You're making a mess!"
"Don't worry sweetness, I'm gonna clean it," he smirked and dropped the spoon on the ground.
Leaning down, Hitoshi dragged his tongue up and across the expanse of your neck, licking away the sweet icing that dressed it. You went from whining to softly moaning as his warm muscle cleaned your skin of the pink substance. When he got to one part that had a legit lump of the icing, his lips latch around your neck as his tongue scooped it off and he lightly sucked when he released you. He continued this torture up to your chin, making you bite your lip and taste the amount that was on your mouth. One of his hands released your arms and cupped the side of your neck. You weren't even thinking of trying to throw him off. You just laid there under his total control and let Hitoshi lick you clean. Once he got to your mouth his violet eyes sparkled at you and he licked his lips with a hum. You looked back at him with glossy eyes as you panted under him.
"Looks like I'm making more than one mess!" He chuckled and licked your top lip.
You whined as he took his time, pulling back each time you tried to lick or kiss his own lips. "Toshi-ah!"
Shinsou smirked down at you, brushing his thumb over the last bit of icing on your lips, "You know, I kind of like your whining now. It's cute and sort of sexy." The hero placed his thumb to your lips and your (e/c) eyes looked at him as if waiting for a command, to which he gladly gave. "Open your mouth cutie, taste what you made."
Smiling, you did as told and Hitoshi inserted his thumb softly onto your tongue. Your lips wrapped around his digit as your tongue swirled and collected the pink icing, sucking his thumb clean. Hitoshi tightened his grip on the wrist he still held and he groaned lowly. He lowered his face to yours and replaced his thumb with his lips, finally kissing you.
You hummed as he rewarded you, your free hand cupping the back of his head and tangling into his purple locks. You gripped tightly, turning his head to the side and making him growl. Your tongue escaped from your mouth and licked clean the streak of icing he still had on his face.
Right as Hitoshi chuckled and bit your cheek playfully, the timer in the kitchen went off. The ringing of it breaking both of your thoughts. Hitoshi still kept his teeth latched onto your cheek, growling in aggravation. You giggled and pushed at his chest.
"I need to go get that Toshi, before it burns."
Finally he released you, cheek and all, and stood to his feet. Holding out his hand you took it and he helped you up, wrapping his arm around your shoulder and kissing the top of your head. "We're finishing this later sweetness!"
After dinner, you all had a piece of cake, Eri had two. As she took a bath, you and Hitoshi put up all the leftovers and cleaned the kitchen. When you were done, you leaned back against the counter and sighed. Hitoshi smiled and dried his hands, tossing the hand towel to the side and placing himself in front of you. His hands flattened on the counter behind you and you kissed each other as your arms wrapped around his waist.
"Man, I'm exhausted!"
Hitoshi chuckled and brushed your hair out of your face, resting his hand on your cheek. "Does that mean you had a good weekend?"
"I did! It was definitely one of the best! Thank you again so much for taking me to Disney. Thank you for everything you've gotten for me, even though you didn't need to. And most of all thank you for taking care of me."
"It's my pleasure cutie, I'll always be here to take care of and spoil you. You deserve it all and more!"
With a smile you wrapped your arms around Hitoshi tighter and hugged him close. His own arms wrapped around you and he kissed your head. You sighed and squeezed him, inhaling his scent and melting into his hold. "I love you so much Hitoshi."
"I love you too more. How about after we get the kid to bed, we take a bath and I take care of you some more."
"Aww Toshi, that sounds amazing!
Not much longer after, you were drying Eri off and helping her into her pj’s. She started to doze off as you brushed out her hair, a cute yawn falling from her little lips. You smiled and put the brush down on the sink counter and scooped Eri into your arms and carried her to the bedroom. She nuzzled her cheek on your shoulder, her hands playing with your hair as you rubbed her back on the way. You pulled back the covers and laid her down, tucking her in tight. She smiled sleepily and rubbed her ruby eyes.
"Hitoshi should be in here soon, he just had to go take out the trash. Do you need anything else before we tell you goodnight?"
"Will you sing to me? That song you were singing earlier to the baby?"
"Of course I will."
Hitoshi made his way down the hall and to Eri's room, he could hear your voice softly singing. Smiling, he placed himself against the door-frame, watching as your hand rubbed Eri's back and you lulled her to sleep. Shinsou couldn't believe how naturally this came to you and how much his little sister already adored you.
It made him think of your own family and how you mentioned that you take care of your niece and nephew from time to time. You had yet to speak of them anymore since that night at Aizawa's. The hero didn't want you to neglect your own loved ones all for him and Eri and he truly would love to know more about your own family so he figured he'd talk to you later about it.
Walking into the room quietly he sat on the other side of the bed. Looking over, Hitoshi could see Eri was passed out, clutching her Chimmy plushie close. You looked over to him as you finished out the lullaby you had sang earlier.
Hitoshi was head over heels for your voice. It was angelic and like velvet and the way you looked when singing was something else. He could tell you weren't really singing to your full potential though, which only made him want to experience more. Hitoshi wanted to see you lose yourself in one really good song and take note of your expressions, if your eyes closed or hands moved, how your mouth would work. The artist in him was craving to witness such an act.
You leaned over and placed a kiss to Eri's head, tucking her blankets tighter around her little body. Hitoshi leaned over and kissed her as well and pet her hair. You both quietly said goodnight as you turned off her lamp, leaving her room dark except for the pink night light that showered her walls with hearts. Hitoshi took your hand and you both walked out, quietly shutting the door behind you.
Immediately you made your way to his bathroom where he ran the bath water. Hitoshi took it upon himself to slowly strip you of your clothes, placing kisses on every inch of your skin as it was exposed. You removed his clothes in return, your fingers trekking down his muscular arms and chest as he pulled your face to his and kissed you.
Hitoshi helped you into the tub and you sat between his legs, letting him get to work on rubbing and massaging your shoulders and back. Hums and sighs would escape from your chest as his fingers diligently put pressure on all the right spots and his lips showered your skin in kisses. Next, Hitoshi washed your hair and cleaned your skin, refusing to let you even lift a finger. The hero really enjoyed just spoiling you for no reason at all other than he loved you. Once done, he sank back against the tub and you turned to face him, laying your cheek on his chest as his arms wrapped around you.
After all the pampering he did you were completely relaxed and like putty in his hands. Hitoshi placed loving kisses to your head as one hand gently rubbed up and down your spine. Your own arms were wrapped around him, your fingers caressing his lower back under the warm water. The two of you sat there in silence for a good ten minutes as he loved and held you. He could tell that second by second as he was bathing you that you were becoming more and more sleepier. You had barely said a word the entire time and just hummed and smacked your lips here and there. Shinsou found your sleepy self utterly adorable, like some kind of puppy.
Your head moved against Hitoshi's chest and you smiled softly at him. Hand coming up to touch his face and slowly drag down his neck until it rested on his chest by your cheek. Hitoshi noticed how heavy your eyes were getting and how your breathing was becoming slower and steadier as you lazily smiled.
"You're so wonderful Toshi, like really. You're overly sweet, kind, caring, really beautiful and just – I don't even know how to express how much I love you."
Hitoshi chuckled and kissed your forehead, "You're exhausted and have a case of word vomit sweetheart, I should get you out and into bed."
"I'm serious Hitoshi," you shook your head and yawned, face nuzzling into his chest. "I don't know what I'd do without you, if you didn't ask me to take this job when you did ... I don't know how much longer I would've lasted in this world."
Shinsou's purple brows furrowed and he held you tighter, in the state you were in right now he couldn't really tell if you were joking or not. "What do you mean by that (Y/N)?"
You yawned and clutched Hitoshi closer, cradling into his body. "What do I mean by what Toshi?"
Frowning, Hitoshi realized you were definitely too far gone now as you had quickly forgotten what you had even said. He smiled and kissed your head, whispering that it was nothing.
Carefully the hero sat forward, his hand cupping and keeping your head on his chest, his arms tightly holding you as he stood from his position and removed the both of you from the tub. Grabbing towels, Hitoshi wrapped one around you and sat you on the bathroom counter, working on drying your body as you were half asleep but conscious enough to hold yourself up and listen to his instructions. After he dried himself off he carried you into his bedroom and placed you on the bed before digging for one of his own shirts and briefs. You whined and groaned as he moved you around only making him chuckle. Finally he laid you down in the bed and under the covers before going to put his own pair of briefs on.
"Toshi-ah! I'm cold~"
"Oh my god, you're so needy," he groaned playfully as he turned off the lights and crawled into the bed beside you.
"It's your fault!" You replied with a sleepy smile.
Instantly you wrapped and molded to his side, your legs interlocking and your arms buried between his chest and yours as you burrowed into him and the covers. Shinsou wrapped around you as well, one hand on the small of your back and gently rubbing as the other played in your hair and he pressed his cheek to your forehead before gently pulling your face up to place a kiss on your lips. You hummed as you kissed back, lazily biting on his lip when he broke the kiss.
Shinsou tucked the blankets tighter around the two of you and nuzzled his own face into your hair as he pulled you back into him. The two of you both falling fast asleep in no time.

Tiny Sweets- Bucky/Reader One-Shot
Notes: I’m not really good at reader fics or one-shots, but hey, you gotta start somewhere, right? Feedback will be greatly appreciated. I also have this up on AO3 under Casual Encounters. My profile is https://archiveofourown.org/users/Solei89/profile if you want to follow me there. Just saying. You can if you want :D. I hope you enjoy it.
It was quiet and cold this morning. Most people were still in bed, wrapped up and warm. How he wished he could enjoy that peace of mind. Instead, one James Buchanan Barnes was dragging himself through the freshly fallen snow. A nightmare still fresh in his mind.
After he shot up from the horrific dream, he decided a walk would help him. So, he got dressed and left his Brooklyn apartment. He made his way to a nearby park about 15 minutes from his building. After aimlessly walking around for however long he did (he wasn’t keeping track), he felt the need for a cup joe sinking in.
He left the park from a different side he doesn't usually go through, hoping to find something open this early (it was 7:15 am) on a Sunday morning. To his surprise, there was a small cafe open on the corner parallel to the where he exited the park.
He made his way over to the shop that had a hanging sign that read Tiny Sweets. When he walked in, he was immediately struck by the wonderful aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked treats. The place was small and only had 3 round table scattered about and one table tucked in a corner by the window. He decided he would sit at the table by the window so he could see who, if anyone, came in.
“Good morning!” a cheery voice pulled his attention to the counter.
James was floored by your beauty and the bright smile on your face. Your eyes were kind with a hint of mischief. Your lips were succulent and he imagined for a moment what they tasted like. It was only when you frowned a bit that he noticed he was staring at you.
Clearing his through he quickly said, “Morning,” voice gruff and low.
Your smile perked up again. “What can I get you?”
James walked up to the counter. “A coffee, please.”
“Sure thing. How do you like it?” you asked.
His mind may have wondered to something more intimate, but he snapped himself out of it quickly. “Cream and 2 sugars.”
“Coming right up.” You walked over to a shelf with mugs. “Is this your first time here?”
“Yeah,” he answered while he watched you intently as you made his coffee.
Turning with the mug in your hands, you made your way back to the counter. “Welcome to my shop, Tiny Sweets.”
Your voice was melodic. James found himself completely enamored by you, yet he didn’t even know your name.
“Thank you,” he finally managed, taking the mug from your hands. It smelled heavenly.
You looked at him and your eyes lit up for a moment. “Hold on.” You went over to where there were an array of tiny baked goods, grabbed a small plate and put a pastry on it. “Here you go. Its a strawberry and cream puff pastry. It’s on the house.”
James blinked in surprise at the generous offer. “You don’t have-”
You cut him off before he could protest. “I already did. Besides, you look like you could use a pick me up. Enjoy it.”
James smiled shyly at you and thanked you again before stuffing some bills in the tip jar. He ignored the look you gave him because you knew he was still trying to pay for it. He made his way over to the table by the window. The coffee was perfect, and he had to hold in a moan at how delicious the pastry was. He could see himself in here every day of the week.
James had been frequenting Tiny Sweets for a few months now. You saw him at least 3 times a week. Sometimes he would come in as soon as you unlocked the door. Other times he would come in after the morning rush. This time, he came in the evening and he was with someone.
“Hi, James!” You greet him with that big smile that makes him melt.
“Hi, Y/N,” James says shyly. The tall, dark handsome fellow he walked in with elbows him in the ribs and it hit you that he was the Falcon. “Oh, this is my friend, Sam.”
“Hello, Sam,” you say stretching a hand over the counter.
“Hey. Nice to finally meet ya,” Sam says excitedly shaking your hand.
You quirk an eyebrow up and look at James, who can’t seem to look at you. “Well, I hope whatever he’s told you is good. I got a reputation to keep,” you joke winking at James when he finally makes eye contact.
He feels his cheeks go red and tries to hide behind the hair framing his face.
Sam laughs. “Only the best things about you. Especially, about these tiny desserts.”
It gave you butterflies to think he may actually like you the way you like him since he had told his friends about you. Ever since that first cold morning he walked into your little shop, you were strangely drawn to him. Yes, he was extremely handsome and attractive, but there was something in his eyes. Something that made you want to get to know him.
Your conversations were short with him, and he sometimes seemed to be battling internally. Then, you found out he was the Winter Soldier and understood a little better what you had seen in his eyes. He was longing for peace of mind. A peace he knew he didn’t deserve, and yet he still yearned for it. You knew you wanted to show him he deserved to be happy. You were just too chicken to ask him out so you could.
James looked up at you. “Can I a coffee, doll? Oh, and whatever this idiot wants.”
You felt your chest swell at the pet name. Maybe, he really did like you. “Sure thing. What will you be having, Sam?”
“A latte and any one of those fine desserts you have there,” Sam said pointing to the display of sweets.
“You fellas have a seat. I’ll be right over with your order,” you said to them and sauntered away. You missed James’s lingering look before Sam dragged him to a table.
“Dude, she’s beautiful,” Sam whispered looking over to you, making sure you didn’t hear.
“I know,” James said a smile tugging at his lips.
“So, when are you gonna ask her out?” Sam asked.
James looked down at the table. How could someone as sweet and kind and beautiful as you want to go out with a broken man like him?
“Hey, Frostbite, listen to me. If you don’t ask her out, I will,” Sam said with a shit eating grin. He loved ticking James off.
“They will never find your body,” James growled in a low voice.
“So, stop wasting time. A gal like that is hard to find. Besides, she likes you, too.” Sam was amused by the confused face looking back at him.
“What? What makes you say that?” James asked with genuine intrigue.
“It’s the way she looks at you. And, that wink she gave you.” Sam waggled his eyebrows.
James shook his head. Come to think of it. You did look at him with a certain spark in your eyes.
“Here you go, guys,” you said coming over to the table with a tray. You placed the coffee and latte down in front of them before placing a plate with 6 different cakes and pastries on it between them. “Here we have red velvet cake with cream cheese filling and frosting, german chocolate cake, lavender lemon cake, caramel apple cream puffs, almond danish, and vanilla bean puffs. Enjoy!”
Sam’s eye grew wide looking at the treats. “Thank you, Y/N!”
“You are very welcome. Let me know if you need anything else.” You gave James a shy smile before hurry back behind the counter. One he did not fail to notice.
Maybe, she does like me… He looked at Sam who was too busy trying to figure out which treat he wanted to try out first. James quickly took the red velvet cake when he noticed Sam stared at it longer than the rest.
“Hey! I wanted that one,” Sam groaned.
“I know,” James said and took a bite. He made an obscene sound and rolled his eyes into the back of his head. “It’s so good,” he mocked.
“You’re a real asshole, Bucky.” Sam hastily grabbed the lavender lemon cake and shoved it in his mouth. He, too, made an obscene sound as he chewed.
“Are you 2 ok?” you asked from behind the counter.
They both looked at you embarrassed at how they were behaving. James looked down and apologized for both of them. You just laughed at them and went into the kitchen.
James looked at Sam and kicked him under the table. “You idiot!” he hissed.
“You started it,” Sam scoffed.
“I don’t know why I came here with you,” James said grabbing the german chocolate cake.
“It was either I came with you, or I stalked you here,” Sam said simply.
James shook his head. He just wanted some quiet time at his favorite coffee shop with the girl he was smitten with. Now, he just made an ass of himself in front of her because of birdbrain.
When they were done fighting over who got to have what treat, Sam got up and walked over the counter. James watched him suspiciously.
“Hey, I’m really sorry again for that unflattering display earlier,” he said sheepishly.
You chuckled. “Oh, don’t worry about it. Hell, I'm flattered that something I made could make people of your caliber make noises like that.” Both Sam and James were puzzled by that.
“Our caliber?” James had gotten up and was now standing next to Sam.
“Avengers.” You were amused at the look on their faces. “Come on, now. Give a girl a little credit. You think I didn’t know I’ve been serving coffee to Sergent Barnes for months. Especially, after strolling in here with the Falcon.”
James and Sam looked at each other and then back to you. Your eyes were sparkling and you had a mischievous smirk. James did not think you knew who he was. How could you still be so sweet after finding out?
“So, you know about my past?” James asked in a small voice, eyes searching your face while he waited for an answer.
You looked him in the eyes and when you spoke it was firm but not unkind. “Yes, I know about what you were forced to do.” You sighed. “James, your past is just that. Your past. We all have one. Some are worse than others, but what matters is that you don’t live in it. You push forward and learn to become better in your present so you have a brighter future. That’s called living.”
He was struck by your words and all he could do was stare at you, mouth slightly open. Even Sam seemed to be at a loss for words. When you gave him that bright smile he cherished, James’s faced softened.
“Y/N, would you like to grab dinner tonight?” he asked with new found courage.
Your smile grew wider, and your eyes crinkled. “I thought you’d never ask, James.”
He looked relieved and almost like some burden lifted from his shoulders. “Bucky. You can call me Bucky.”

hey, today was extremely eventful, lets fucking go, where'd i leave off?
okay so, you missed out on lots
last night, one of judas's semi-regulars came through and judas asked him "hey what do you like? idk who you are really." and this guy went "i like big tiddied men" and what I thought that meant was like ice cream guy from lilo and stitch, like a joke. and i went "mood. but i prefer judas's flat chest, he's very pretty." and i thought we moved on, judas seemed happy and he ended really early, pog, cool, move on.
well, he ends and hes acting like he doesnt know why im messaging him and hes like "why're you talking to me?" and obviously, hes my boyfriend so i assumed he thought he was texting somebody else, so i got really confused straight from the jump, and he goes "drop the willfully ignorant act and face your mistakes." and i was SO fucking confused, what the fuck does he mean "willfully ignorant"
he goes into a spiral about me being into overweight men and not liking his body type, for context judas is your average lanky whiteboy, hes got skinny long limbs and a long skinny torso, hes a very thin guy. but he's fucking BEAUTIFUL. so i was Fucking confused because every man i've ever dated has been either emaciated or thin to the point of emaciated, im not saying being heavy is wrong, i just like thin men. thats my type. and he was like "this isnt the first time youve made comments about overweight men, because you liked a tweet in 2018 about dad bod body positivity" like BRUH that was three+ years ago. literally dont say a tweet i liked about body positivity dictates my sexual preferences.
so last night my friends said they were gonna go to a coffee shop in oceanside to study, i mentioned this yesterday and all that, i ended up going to get my mind off judas and i had literally one of if not the best days ive had in ages.
we got to the coffee shop and they had a thing called a coldbrew float, it had vanilla icecream in it and it was so yummy. and we got a ton done, the first time since becoming a senior. we were talking about hair and it was so relaxing to be outside and not worry about judas. then we went to a thrift shop, we wanted to find something cool and obscure but we found nothing. we saw a mason jar hot glued to a wine glass and that was cool i guess. after that we decided to go to the beach, but we just walked up and down the pier. my friend pulled up and touched a wild pelican, it bit him but he said it didnt hurt. after that, we went to sit down and eat, i didnt eat even tho i bought EIGHTEEN DOLLAR TACOS. and there were edgy little highschool students and we were very OBVIOUSLY college age and they were giving us shitty looks lmfao. otherwise, it was a party, im pretty sure the friend i named kaycee (?), she was driving her sugar daddy's car. that was fun. we confessed we were each other's best friends so LMFAO i have a best friend that isnt judas. it feels. liberating.
til next time. cutting it short incase something happens

12 Healthy (& Guest-Worthy) Summer Desserts
That back-to-school feeling may be in the air, but I insist… summer is not over. I repeat. It is not over! To prove it, we’re doing all of the grilling and entertaining we can at our house. Summertime wouldn’t be the same without ice cream, cobblers, and other classic warm-weather treats so I’ve been on the hunt for light, fresh summer desserts that are guest-approved. I thought I’d share our favorites so far.
Healthy Dessert Ingredients
Summer is the perfect time to indulge in a little dessert since nature gives us plenty of sweet treats in season. Fresh berries, hand-picked peaches, and other fruits are tastiest during the warmer months. Many local farms and farmer’s markets have these organic fruits available at relatively inexpensive prices.
As with all of my recipes, I try to keep things simple because they allow me more time with my family (and less time standing over a hot oven). Plus, easy dessert recipes are a great way to get the kids involved in making (and eating) healthy treats.
I keep my pantry full of these healthy ingredients for when we crave something sweet. Learning to use healthy ingredients to enhance recipes, or to act as substitutes for other not-so-healthy ingredients, is easy to do and not as expensive as you might think. Making the switch to a healthier lifestyle (that includes desserts) is much easier when you have these ingredients on hand.
Avocado – nutrient-dense and a great source of ‘good’ fats
Almond flour – an energy-boosting source of healthy fats
Coconut flour – a low-fat, gluten-free grain alternative
Coconut milk – a dairy-free alternative for milk and creams
Maple syrup/honey – antioxidant-rich natural sweeteners
Coconut sugar – a natural sweetener containing vitamins and minerals
Stevia – a low-calorie natural sweetener. Read more about my take on it in this post.
Eggs – binds ingredients while adding protein
Heavy whipping cream/butter – vitamin-rich and adds a creamy texture. Use grass-fed dairy if possible.
Coconut oil – a dairy-free, anti-inflammatory alternative to butter
Cocoa powder – a great way to get that antioxidant-rich chocolate flavor without added sugars
Many of these can be found at local grocery stores or online from Amazon or my favorit, Thrive Market.
12 Healthy & Easy Summer Desserts
These are some of my family’s favorite summer desserts. Whether you are looking for a summertime treat to make with the kids or decadent desserts to serve at your next outdoor gathering, you will certainly find a tasty and nutritious option here!
Homemade Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
This recipe puts a healthy twist on one of my favorite summertime treats. Avocados and coconut milk create a creamy base, while peppermint extract adds that familiar (and refreshing!) minty flavor.
My kids love to help me whip this up. From start to finish, the process is easy with an ice cream maker. But, if you don’t have one, just freeze the mixture and stir it every half an hour until it reaches the desired consistency.
No-Bake Raspberry Chocolate Pie
This is one of my all-time favorite recipes! Cocoa powder, raspberries, almonds, and honey create a healthy (and decadent) summer treat that children and adults will love.
Follow the recipe for a large pie, or use single serve dishes. I’ve made this no-bake dessert recipe in pint-sized mason jars for summer dinner parties and it was a big hit. You can also use strawberries instead of raspberries for am early summer variation.
Fruit Smoothie Sorbet
This sorbet is a refreshing summer dessert without the added sugars and artificial ingredients of store-bought treats. Fresh (or frozen) fruit, one banana, and a cup of coconut milk are all you need to whip this up.
You can use an ice cream maker, but I just use my blender. My kids love coming up with new flavor combinations. It’s a great way to get them to try different fruits, too.
Crock Pot Cheesecake
This recipe makes a delicious and healthy cheesecake base without heating up the house with the oven. The grain-free crust is made with almonds or pecans, while the cheesecake is sweetened with stevia or honey (you choose!).
Cheesecake is versatile and can be adapted to fit the season. Top it with fresh blueberries or add strawberries and drizzle with a dark chocolate sauce for a summery twist.
10-Minute Peach Cobbler
This recipe is a seasonal favorite at my house. It is easy to throw together and utilizes fresh peaches and almond flour to create a grain-free cobbler. Top this cobbler with a healthy whipped topping made from heavy whipping cream and stevia for that classic peaches and cream taste.
I love that I can use this recipe to make a single serving or enough for 10 people to enjoy. When peaches aren’t in season, I substitute berries and other soft fruits in their place.
Chocolate Coconut Clusters
These simple coconut clusters are easy to make and almost taste too good to be healthy (but, I promise, they are). Coconut, almond butter, and chocolate is a perfect combination of sweet, savory, and creamy. They are full of healthy fats and sweetened with antioxidant-rich dark chocolate.
My kids always want to help with these, and I often catch them sneaking bites in the process. These are perfect to have on hand for a healthy snack, but they are decadent enough to serve as a dessert, too.
Healthy Panna Cotta
Panna cotta is Italian for “cooked cream” and has a pudding-like texture. This recipe is dairy-free (although you can substitute dairy milk if you prefer) and calls for honey and maple syrup to sweeten it up. A key ingredient in panna cotta is gelatin. Grass-fed gelatin is a healthy source of protein and can soothe the digestive tract.
I love the versatility of this recipe. Dress it up with caramel or chocolate sauce for special occasions, or keep it simple with summer berries and nuts for a nutrient-dense treat.
Healthy Butter Pecan Ice Cream
Vanilla ice cream is good, but butter pecan is better. This recipe is filled with healthy fats (the kind we need for a happy brain) and sweetened with natural sweeteners. Who knew ice cream could taste this good, and be good for you (in moderation, of course)?
This recipe can even be made dairy-free by replacing the butter with coconut oil. Using homegrown pecans from the local farmers market makes this treat extra special.
Berry Cream Bars
This recipe is a bit more involved than the others listed here, but I couldn’t resist sharing it with you. These bars are delicious!
With dates, honey, coconut, raspberries and blackberries, this recipe makes a delicious and healthy summer treat. I imagine you could substitute blueberries and strawberries for the raspberries and blackberries, too.
Paleo Avocado Brownies
Sometimes I just need a fudgy, chocolate brownie. That’s why I created this grain-free brownie recipe with avocados and dairy-free dark chocolate.
This recipe is rich in nutrients and antioxidants and naturally sweetened with honey. Add nuts for an additional protein boost.
For a fun, summery dessert add fresh or dried edible flowers (daisies, violets, lavender, calendula, or chamomile, for example) either in the mix or as a garnish. If adding them into the mix, make sure to finely crush the flowers.
Strawberry Coconut Milk Ice Cream
Making strawberry ice cream at home is one of my favorite ways to use fresh strawberries. Egg yolks and coconut milk add protein, while honey and strawberries naturally sweeten the creamy base. Add a banana, peanut butter drizzle, homemade marshmallows, coconut cream or whipped cream for a healthy strawberry banana split.
This ice cream won’t be as bright pink as store-bought ones that use artificial dyes. If you still want that bright pink hue, you can try a natural food dye.
Paleo Lemon Blueberry Cake
Better than strawberry shortcake, this lemon blueberry cake combines the light and refreshing flavors of summer together perfectly. Fresh (rather than frozen) blueberries and plenty of lemon juice make this cake delicious and healthy. It’s also grain and dairy-free, which I love.
Although this recipe is a little more involved, it is totally worth the extra effort. It would be perfect for a summer brunch or afternoon coffee date with friends.
Coconut Mango Popsicles
These healthy popsicles are a great frozen treat for hot summer days, but they’re also great for digestion! With coconut water kefir as the base, these offer probiotics as well as electrolytes. They’re so easy to make the kids often make them all by themselves.
If you don’t want to wait, you can skip the fermentation step and use plain coconut water. You’ll miss the probiotic benefits but will still have a tasty and healthy treat.
Fresh Fruit
While this isn’t exactly a recipe, I think it’s worth including. I love that my kids enjoy fruit so much and don’t need additional sweets all the time. Fresh fruit is one of our favorite desserts, especially when the fruit is fresh and in season. We like to have fresh berries, sliced peaches, and watermelon for summertime treats. Don’t forget a sprinkle of cinnamon for extra antioxidants!
Easy Summer Desserts for Summer Memories
I can’t help but be nostalgic about summer with all of the swimming, playing, exploring, and tasty summer treats. That’s why I love having this arsenal of healthy summertime desserts so my kids can have the same fun memories (without all the junk!).
Seize every moment!
What are your favorite healthy summertime treats?
