Kate Whistler's Friends in DC

Okay, so having something playing in the background tends to have me thinking of Kate and people she might have been friends with but lost touch.

First was Covert Affairs. This had me starting a fic about it (it's getting worked on every so often). Annie Walker was one of the first people Kate met in DC. They shared an apartment briefly. Kate didn't know Annie was CIA. She assumed she was another federal agent, but never bothered to actually ask what agency. They're busy people and Kate didn't really care, she was just happy to have a close friend. Then Annie gets busier and Kate gets sent to Hawaii.

Then I started Hannibal again (the tv series). Beverly Katz would be a good friend for Kate. Sort of take Kate under her wing a little and build her confidence. Oh, and in my mind NOTHING happened to Beverly in Season Two. She and Kate sort of fell out of touch as well.

But here's a better look at Beverly Katz to see why I think she'd be a good friend for Kate, but she's also brilliant, thorough, detail oriented, funny, and can be a little snarky. I think she'd be the kind of friend that could see Kate retreating or being nervous about something and call her on it. Help Kate combat it with logic or something. "You're nervous, I get that, but you also know what you're doing better than anyone else out there. You know the background, the layout, and will be better prepared. Now get out there!" Something like that. Encouraging, but make with a literal, physical, shove as well.

eKate keeps in touch with both Annie and Beverly through email and the occasional voice mail, as well as text messages/phone tag. But she used to be pretty close to both.

They both have open invites to visit Kate in Hawaii. Invites she totally stands by, but maybe didn't expect them to take advantage of when she didn't expect it or forgot they arranged it entirely. Between her job and trying again with Lucy, Kate's pretty busy. This kind of thing could slip through the cracks. I envision a humorous meeting when one visits and then meets Lucy. HUMOUROUS!!! Not what happened with Cara. More like they might open the door to Lucy's knock and be like "You must be Lucy, the one Kate won't stop talking about." That would be Beverly, saying it just to embarrass Kate.

Are my other fandoms just clogging my head, or can you see it too???

Anouk really is a unit isn't she 😍 there's not many in women's soccer and she's a good one! 😊 I'll let you know if Sevgi plays a good amount of min or whatever if you wanna watch it later (also seriously Tugce is looking really good!) I'm so nervous for playoffs but I'm pretty sure Ekat is gonna win again! It's what my wife deserves. Also I miss Euro intl woso too! I wanna watch all the tournaments. Think I'll cheer for Italy in the Algarve. The "Turkish" tournie with Chile looks interesting
