getting a dogwater loadout is probably frustrating in Deep Archimedea (let's be honest, some weapons are just trash), but I also know that if everyone was allowed to stomp the gamemode with their Torid incarnons then people would complain how it's "too easy"; i mean there ARE people who are saying DA isn't that hard and anyone who is crying is exposing themselves as not being ready for endgame (i'm one of them, i actually don't know the nitty gritty of warframe builds and mechanics and just let other people build for me (poses))
though seeing an opinion how this is veering into p2w because weapon slots cost platinum is... a take? i guess if you're really pedantic you could argue that, but by that logic WF is already p2w because you buy forma, exilus adapters, rush builds and use affinity boosters to build your weapons faster (scratches head); i know there are definitely people who despise WF because of this, hardcore micotransaction haters

Submitted Prompts #135
I know I tend to send in DPxDC prompts, but today I had A Thought.
I've been playing Warframe again, lately, and I've been grinding for the Operator Affiny things (thank you Zenurik Focus, for blessing me with boundless Energy with which to commit chaos :D )
And a thought struck me: Operators use Transference to pilot a Warframe. It comes from their Void powers, granted to them in an accident, where their ship was about to dimension-jump into the Void. This overlapping of dimensions made the Tenno into something Other (hilariously, they're called Tenno because they were from the Zariman 10-0. Ten-Zero. Ten-O. Tenno) with extra-dimensional powers, among which is a beam of energy from said dimension. Sound familiar?
What I'm getting at here is: Immortal Danny finds himself transported into the Zariman after the tragedy that befell it, and since The Void and the Infinite Realms are neighbouring extra-dimensional planes of existence, he feels right at home with the survivors (canonically, the adults all went insane, while the more adaptable children survived with powers) and helps them with their powers.
Eventually the Orokin find them, as in canon, and take them in as their Tenno Warrior caste. Their Praetorian Guard, of sorts, and build the Prime Warframes for the children to inhabit and pilot.
Danny goes along with it, because hey cool space bio-armor that he can power with his abundance ecto-energy. Maybe Pandora and frostbite might want to take a look, too.
His Warframe? Banshee Prime
Shit happens, as one might say, and as the Tenno are put into cryo-sleep by the the Lotus (Space Mom!!!!) Danny goes back to the Realms, after his vacation is done.
Eons later, the Tenno rise again, to a shattered and warring Solar System.
They reestablish their Relays, and their presence once more brings order and peace to the System. And as the Order once again grows, as more and more Tenno wake up, Teshin, the Last of the Orokin Dax (the Royal Guard) tells them of Banshee Prime, and her incredible powers over sound and voice.
As the Tenno pilots reawaken in their stasis pods in Lua, one remains missing. Tenno across the System all wonder where everyone's favorite older brother went, and what happened to his Banshee Prime Warframe that he always lovingly maintained and repaired himself.
One, the Harrow pilot, peers into the Void, as he typically does, and finds a trace leading to another dimension other than the Void where the Moon had been hidden, with their pods in it.
Essentially, a whole legion of high school murder-inclined feral teens go on a trip to the Ghost Zone to bring back their older brother, so he can once again tell them of the stars and their meanings. They think he would like to have words with some people, and the Main Character has spotted the Lotus look to the stars with grief in her eyes as she wonders on her wayward child's whereabouts.
Danny, for his part, has grown up into his Fenton Brickhouse genes (not being in a stasis pod will do that to you) and is ruling the Realms along with his Council of Ancient, and generally getting his new powers as the Ancient of Space under control, like he's done before with his basic ghost abilities, and later his ice.
What he didn't expect, was for his old siblings to knock down the doors to his Throne room and crowd him, all screeching about how come he grew up when they're all stuck as kids still, and why dies he look so different, and so many questions that he gets a little overwhelmed.
When Clockwork (grandpa), Pandora (mom) and Frostbite (dad) turn to him and his baby siblings, and say Danny really should take a break "for your own health, Your Highness. You're overdue a vacation!"...let's just say the System was ready for the Tenno. Alad V was ready to face them in battle and experiment with their Warframes (the Valkyr lore is horrifying if you pay attention to it).
No one was ready for Phantom and Banshee Prime to take the System by storm, leading an army of feral children with murder-hobo inclinations

(Directly ported from a reddit draft because I use that platform despite how much I dislike it's weirdness, so it's formated for reddit as opposed to here) TL;DR/For those who don't want to read an essay of my unorganized ramblings: Operator can be improved, Zenurik overshadows the other schools due to convenience, Wellspring could be made a base ability which ties into the schools freeing up Zenurik to do it's own thing, and we'd still have a 4th ability slot to fill if wellspring was base kit, discuss.
If there is one single change to Warframe I'd make above all else, it's make wellspring a base operator ability and turn Zenurik into it's own thing.
It could be the cc school which specializes in disarming and slowing enemies like it already has going since it's theme is "to choke an opponent of all resources". Allowing it to stay consistent with it's current iteration with minimal changes. Or if we want to think big, leaning into the "School of the Arcane" title and energy theme to make it a school with some simplistic but powerful damaging void abilities like a void themed DnD fireball type explosive, or something akin to the void blast of old but now with a more arca plasmor like projectile. This would make Zenurik's goal along the lines of wide area damage and spammable abilities, weaker than Madurai at single target damage but powerful for clearing large groups of trash enemies or breaking multiple overguards at once. Probably still keeping the energy theme by making it buff the energy regen and energy capacity of your Operator, since Zenurik already did that. Maybe keeping inner might but on a lower cooldown and making it operator exclusive? A full rework of Zenurik is limitless in potential, but here's hoping it wouldn't end up so overpowered people keep using it by default anyways.
Then with the newly base kit wellspring the other schools could modify wellspring in their own ways or in the case of Unairu, magnetic flare and it's upgrades being attached to wellspring so it can gain a different ability like a protective shield that drains energy while it's out. Something like sigma's shield from Overwatch could be interesting where attacking while holding the shield pushes it out, shoving enemies out of the way, or maybe more akin to mag held magnetise or nyx absorb. Unairu's whole thing is defense and outlasting the enemy (and destroying the enemy's defense apparently, I mean it's thematically appropriate considering the whole defense manipulation thing. But I'd think the description could be something more along the lines of "defense decides battles so we'll keep ours strong and the enemy's weak" instead of just Unairu's current "Outlast The Enemy and withstand all aggression without bending")
I like the other schools, a lot, they're all thematically and mechanically interesting, but I feel crippled without that energy wellspring even despite investing in some alternative ways of restoring energy such as amber archon shards, synth fiber + equilibrium, and the archon mods. (Also solo funding the Lenz took a serious toll on my fieldron sample supply so it'll be a while before I can use big energy pizzas, but having used medium, they're just not as satisfying or convenient as wellspring, I always have that biting feeling of "I could have used these polymer bundles for something else"). Also, yes, 62.5 energy per small energy orb and 315 energy per health orb on Ivara is overkill, but I don't pocket main Harrow so I can see small energy restored numbers.
Wellspring base kit could keep the convenience and nature of it being completely free, and tack on focus school unique abilities. Vazarin could be a healing field which can properly heal static defense objectives like Well of Life, a lifesteal zone like a diet gloom, or maybe even something like Trinity's link, where any enemy in the field will have damage on players redirected at them. Naramon could obviously be a melee attack speed, heavy attack efficiency, combo gain, or something else melee related, DE could probably just make it "warcry buff but wellspring zone" and call it a day. Unairu would keep the mechanic of shield strip on it's wellspring but maybe also gradually (or instantly if we're feeling insane) deplete overguard since void damage shreds overguard anyways. And Zenurik could probably actually keep it's wellspring upgrades with some tweaks, operator ability strength, amp energy regen, and operator energy regen, it could still buff warframe ability strength, boost efficiency, or both, but it would still restore energy at the same rate as all the other wellsprings when it comes to warframes. Madurai could just be a straight damage boost or an amp fire rate boost, but Madurai is terrifying enough as it is IMO and is currently only held back by Zenurik's utility, Honestly I wouldn't complain if Madurai's Wellspring lost it's energy regen to balance it's increased amp damage or whatever else DE can stick on it because Madurai actually scares me, that school is a chained beast waiting for Zenurik to fall so it can rise like a phoenix from it's ashes. (Overdramatic speech aside, I love Madurai and I'm hoping that if this were implemented it'd lean even further into turning the operator from a utility caster at a button press into a car launcher on legs)
We'd still have 1 open ability slot if wellspring were made base kit so maybe we can get operator Transcendence back as a 4? Maybe something completely new for operator's 4 based on the school you choose that you have to unlock and upgrade like all the other focus school perks! A cool idea could be making this new 4th completely divorced from the schools with it's own separate upgrade tree more akin to the evolving incarnon weapons, where you do challenges as operator to unlock levels which give choices as to buffs, allowing you to build your Transcendence to suit you. Hell if we are on the what if train, what if we could mod Operators? I want to open discussion for what could be done to improve Operator/Drifter gameplay since there is still a large group of people who very much dislike Operator gameplay and only use their Operator for energy regen and occasionally movement.
I love interacting with this community because some of you have some crazy ideas and I wanna see more. LMK what you think if you managed to stomach all of this ADHD motivation burst fueled nonsense (or you just read the TL;DR, which, I don't blame you if you did)

A smol selection of some BIG FISHU.
I’m having more fun than is strictly justified with the fishing minigame. Even with things still trying to kill you--I think that makes it even more hilarious. Going from quietly listening for fish bubbles to murder spree then back to fishing like nbd... It’s great. Plus I’ve got my Helios, Yel-Ulidar, watching my back. Deconstructor Prime is actually really good. (And at night I make a bunch of Eidolon Lure friends, too. My little fishing entourage~)

so if my observation of the fandom is correct, here is what each focus school, when maxed (lore/headcanon-wise) gives you:
maxed vazarin: deadpool levels of regeneration and water powers
maxed madurai: Fire Powers Baybe!!!
maxed unairu: good ol indestructibility and maybe earth powers
maxed zenurik or naramon: ???

Headcanon post taken from here.
What is their name?
Ryuuta, her last name she forgot. She hasn’t seen a need to go and try to remember it or to adopt another last name.
What model/s of Warframe do they use, mainly?
She’s primarily seen in Ivara Youkai, that’s assuming you actually see her. Though if she isn’t using Ivara, Oberon Prime or Ember Magesty is the other Warframes you would see. her in.
What weapon/weapon type is their favorite?
Bows and crossbows are her favorite ranged weapons. Polearms and staves are her favorite melee weapon. She doesn’t have a preference for sidearms, but they have to be silenced if she even wants to remotely think about using them.
What is your Tenno’s style of fighting? Do they rush in headlong, or prefer to sneak around?
She prefers to put enemies to sleep with Ivara and then to walk past them. She will get slightly irritated if other Tenno set off alarms during Spy missions.
Which Syndicate, if any, does your Tenno belong to?
She doesn’t really side with any particular Syndicate, opting to remain neutral on that front. However, she will help Steel Meridian whenever they need help.
Which of the five Schools, if any, do they belong to?
She’s studied primarily under Naramon and will identify with Naramon, though she’s spent some time learning the Zenurik way.
Does your Tenno agree with the Lotus? Do they view her as a mother, a tyrant, or somewhere in between?
She sees Lotus as a mother figure and agrees with most of what Lotus suggests. There are times where she would argue that talking things out or something else besides violence might end better. In general, she doesn’t have problems with what Lotus is doing. She also believes that whoever gives Lotus a hard time should cut her some slack. She’s trying her hardest which is all that anyone should ask of her.
How does your Tenno feel about the noncombatant civilians of the system? Are they invested in their protection, or are they vague and unimportant?
She feels like the noncombatant civilians should be allowed to make their own decisions on who they side with. If they feel like siding with the Grineer is the best for them, then she wouldn’t complain about it. It doesn’t matter who they end up siding with, if they need help then she will be fully willing to help them out if they ask for the help and protection.
Where do they stand in the Corpus vs. Grineer war, if anywhere?
Once again she stands neutral in this war. She helps each side equally in an attempt to keep balance within the system. Though she slightly preference for working with the Corpus only because she doesn’t have to deal with Nulllifiers.
What are the top five things your Tenno believes are most important and worth fighting for? These can be abstract concepts or material possessions.
Life, freedom, safety, and balance are the main ones.
How much of their life before being put in stasis can your Tenno remember?
She doesn’t remember much of anything prior to the Void Jump accident. She gets flashes of memories, but she can’t piece them together. She’s tried to remember more about her past before but never got very far.
Do they miss anything about it?
She feels indifferent about it, seeing that she can’t remember what she was doing before the Void Jump. The only thing she would miss was having her parents still with her. Though she tries not to dwell on that too much.
Who was your Tenno during their lifetime as a human, regardless of whether or not they remember?
She was just a child, just about to enter Fourth Grade. So she was focused on school and had some extra curicular activities.
How does your Tenno see their Warframe? As just a tool? As part of their identity?
Ryuuta see’s her Warframe as an extension of herself, and she connects the strongest with her Ivara. She knows that her Warframe is much more than a tool and she would do anything to make sure that her Ivara stays safe.
Is there any symbolism behind their chosen color scheme and energy color? Do they wear the colors of their Syndicate?
She’s got a theme of having white as her primary color on most of her Warframes, but that’s not because of anything. She just enjoys having white as the primary color.
What does your Tenno do during downtime between missions?
She does a lot of research involving the Somatics so that way she can help her fellow Tenno since she is guessing that some of the other Tenno have lasting wounds from the Orokin. If she’s not doing that then she’s in her Dojo’s obstacle course working on moving around better as both her Warframe and herself.
Does your Tenno try to modify their Warframe cosmetically, and make it unique?
Yup, despite being a primarily spy and infiltration Tenno, she still enjoys having her Ivara stand out. What attachments and Syandana she wears depends solely on what Warframe she’s using.
How does your Tenno interact with the rest of the inhabitants of the system? Do they treat their allies warmly, or with disdain?
She respects booth her allies and her enemies unless they’ve done something to lose that respect. She only allows herself to relax while she’s among other Tenno.
How do they view themself and their fellow Tenno? Are they monsters barely kept in check by the Lotus’s guidance? Are they the saviors of the system?
She definitely sees the Tenno as sort of peacekeepers, trying to keep the Origin System from falling into complete and utter chaos. She knows that they are different, and some could call them monsters but she doesn’t see them like this. She doesn't consider herself a monster, just different with a chance to help save those who cannot save themselves. The same is true for the rest of the Tenno, regardless of what side of the war they are on.
Does the bloodshed they cause bother your Tenno? Would they put down their weapons, if they could?
If she didn’t have to fight, Ryuuta would put her weapons down in a heartbeat. She values life above most other things, which is seen by her methods of dealing with guards. She doesn’t like all of the killings she has to do, both during the time of the Orokin and now. Though she will do it, knowing that if they work hard enough then maybe there will be a day where they don’t have to fight anymore. The
Assuming there was no war, what would they want to be doing with their life?
She would still be in school studying, to be a scientist or a teacher most likely. She would definitely take up archery as a hobby to do in her free time.
